Love Bird EP 27 - Duration: 1:55:27.

You put the ring back.

Because I love you so much.

The most.

Don't kiss my eye.

It brings separation.

If you want my happiness, give up on me.

Even if you love me, please don't show it to me.

I free you from all the promises you made to me.

I'm not upset or broken.

I have decided to live your love without you, Kamran.

But I'll always be a comrade, a relative and a friend for you.

And I will always love you.

Have a nice life.

3 days Later... The first days of separation.

It's as if God has abandoned you

in the middle of the world,

with a "love her" note in your hand.

You feel like a baby thrown out of the mother's womb.

Not knowing what to do, or why.

Helpless, lonely, needy.

With all those big loves in this world, why do such separations exist, my God?

Good morning.

The first days of separation.

Seem like engineers and architects quit their jobs

and built a glass wall between you and the world.

We should complain about these guys.

Their job is to build homes and parks for our kids.

We should expel them from their profession.

No. No.

Nobody likes people who are in love.

The first days of separation.

You first die from your eyes.

And then your dreams.

And then you die from your lungs.

The heart has nothing to do with separation.

The heart is very good at pretending it's alive.

I go to sleep at night with you.

I wake up in the morning with you.

You're never out of my mind, my Feride.

I'm dying.

I lost my youth. I'm dying.

Slowly. Do you know that?

You are great. Try it again.

Three, four.

Feride.

Don't go, Feride.

Don't leave us.

Kamran.

Please don't make it difficult.

-But... -Kamran.

Whatever my decision, you promised to accept it.

Goodbye.

Three months old.

We are hiding it from her father and from everyone.

I want you to keep the mother secret.

Don't worry, Besime Hanım.

I'll look after it like my own kid.

I promise you I'll take care of it as well as you.

We don't have any doubt, Gümüş Hanım.

God bless you.

I'll have the baby I've wanted for years thanks to you.

I would like to be with you during your labor.

I don't know how we can do it. It's far away.

We have a relative in Madrid.

We'll send her there near the time of labor.

Mum.

-I'm going. -Wait, my son.

I'll come to the door, my pasha.

Kamran. Kamran.

My son. It is the right thing to do.

If it was the right thing, nature would work that way, Mum.

Even dogs take care of their puppies.

You made her mind up.

Did I do it?

She doesn't want it. She doesn't want it.

The baby will be a problem for her.

Sometimes I wonder about your conscience.

When our situation is like this, we don't have

any space for conscience.

Goodbye to you!

Take it easy.

If it is easy, you do it.

I have to go to the school. I have a lesson.

You'll see Feride, then.

I haven't seen her in three days.

I haven't seen her face in three long days.

I haven't heard her voice.

If you ask me here, it feels like 3,000 years.

What kind of feeling is this, Müjgan?

Are you excited?

I don't know.

I don't know how I am going to feel.

I don't even know if she'll say hello to me.

Are we going to be like we used to be or will we be strangers?

I'm nervous.

However she behaves, don't forget that you are still lovers

and separation is a part of love.

-Take it easy. -Thank you.

Let's go, Cumali Effendi.

Okay, sir.

Yusuf, you take Kamran Bey.

No, you take me.

Of course, sir.

A true man when being a thief...

Actually, a true man wouldn't do such a thing.

So if he did, he wouldn't cry saying the girl I love needs money.

If you had brought that lady to meet me, I would have given you the money you need.

When you need money, tell me, my tiger.

Okay? Tell me.

Come on, Cumali Effendi.

How did you get used to teaching?

I have no other choice, for now.

Thanks to Kamran. He brought me here, but I don't know.

I'll have my work cut out with these nuns.

Actually, they are all very nice. You'll see as you get to know them.

We'll see.

Ladies, listen to me!

All teachers of applied courses will choose an assistant.

The assistant's performance will affect the year-end averages.

Okay?

Go and put your name on the lists.

Come on.

Feride, you come with me. You can do it later.

No. I'm sure Lovebird has a problem.

She doesn't say it.

She's been talking to Sister Alexis for days.

And she and Kamran Bey haven't seen each other for days.

She's not wearing the ring.

She said she lost it.

You believe in her because you don't know Feride as well as we do.

She keeps her grief to herself.

Pay your school fees.

I could never accept it, my sister.

-Feride! -Please, my sister.

I really thank you, but you must keep it. I can't accept it.

Look, Friday is the last day. Just three days left.

If you can't pay it, you'll be expelled from school. You know that.

I know.

But I'll find a way. I'll sort it out.

So I have to write to your parental guardian.

No! Please!

Please, my sister!

Kamran has a child to think about.

I can't steal from his livelihood. Please!

Okay.

She's neither alive, nor dead. I don't understand it.

She's been lying down since that day.

She's in a coma, they said.

I don't know what will happen. I can't understand it.

What do her doctor and Kamran Bey say about it?

They only argue with each other.

An illness has one cure. The patient recovers when you give it.

They are very strange.

There is a vaccine or something. Kamran Bey wants to inject it.

Doctor Fettah doesn't allow him.

We are the ones who pay the piper. We're miserable in the hospital halls.

I'm scared.

-May God help you. It's difficult. -Very difficult.

I'll come again tomorrow.

My lady will take care of you until Neriman Hanım recovers,

-in case you need anything. -Thank you.

Behice?

Why is your lady so interested in them?

She's the landlady, okay. She's everywhere.

There is no special reason. My lady is very kind and a benefactor.

Is she in love with Kamran Bey?

Of course not.

If so, she'll have to wait too long.

Feride has gone, though. But there is the one inside.

-What do you mean Feride is gone? -They broke up.

One day, Chuang-tzu had a dream that he became a butterfly.

When he woke up, he didn't know whether he was a man dreaming

to be a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming to be a man.

That's why he was nicknamed the Butterfly Philosopher.

"The world does not need to be ruled", says the Butterfly Philosopher.

When you let everything flow,

the world fixes, renovates itself in harmony.

Welcome, Kamran Bey.

When will the break time bell ring?

After 10 minutes, Kamran Bey.

Muzo?

How much longer until the bell rings?

Eight minutes.

It's like eternity.

If you need anything...

Thank you, we are taken care of.

You're welcome. We just want to have our finger in the pie.

Just don't mention me to anyone. It's enough.

Here you are.

-Goodbye. -Goodbye.

What a talkative woman!

Poor woman. She really wants to be a mother.

She cried a lot.

Of course she wants it.

To be a mother is the best feeling in the world.

What did my brother say? I hope he wasn't very angry.

We need to bring a veterinarian to check on Sırmakız.

There seems to be a problem with her right leg.

There is a doctor in the house. Better than a veterinarian. He can handle it.

What problem do you have with Kamran?

-I don't have a problem, Dad. -I hope not.

He's older than you.

Instead of benefiting from his experience,

his knowledge, his education and being a man...

Being a donkey is more suitable for me, Dad. Okay?

Girl! What is this arid land doing here again? Infertile woman.

They were talking in the living room since the morning.

Look here. What if she came for Neriman's baby?

No way. And it's unknown if she'll live or not.

They say she looks like spinach. She's lying like this in her sickbed.

Of course. What goes around comes around.

God knocks you down like that. But what's her disease?

Kamran Bey said it's co-wife disease.

Neriman has a co-wife.

If she messes with Besime Hanım...

Oh, my!

Now all co-wives' mouths will be like this?

What if it's contagious? They'll forbid four wives, too!

Oh, my! Oh, my! Look at that!

What will women do now with this shortage of men?

The woman is on her death bed. What are you talking about?

Oh, dear! If only she could be someone to pray for.

Hello, golden girls!

Come. There is tea if you want.

Are those flowers from our garden?

I picked them in case Feride shows up. I'll put them in her room.

I'm very thirsty. Give me a glass of water.

For the oral exam, you're responsible for all the parts I lectured about.

You can go.

Feride, come on.

You go. I'm coming.

When will you do the matching between teachers and students?

After the third class.

We don't want them to be upset so we will draw lots.

What a good idea.

Do you withhold a "hello"?

Feride!

I'd like to ask you something about the chorus, but we'll talk later.

Kamran, were you here, too?

You didn't see me.

No.

It must be because of the exams. I'm absent-minded. That's why.

How are you? Are you okay?

I'm only okay with you.

I'm not.

I'm no different than you, Kamran.

But we'll be okay. Believe me.

If you missed the one you love, you can tell me.

I'm sure you can't tell just anyone.

If you feel lonely, I'm here.

Thank you.

How is Neriman doing? Is she better?

They developed a vaccine in Europe.

But its side effects are unknown.

However, they say it's effective in cases like this.

We'll try that.

It'll be here soon. I'm waiting for it.

I'm sure you'll cure her, Kamran.

God will spare her for her child.

I'll go to my class or I'll be late.

So...

-Goodbye, Kamran. -Feride!

Shall we go to the mansion after your class?

-Kamran, don't! -You misunderstood me, Feride.

-To talk to Necmiye. -What happened?

Necmiye wants to give her baby to someone.

I talked to her when I first heard about it.

I thought I could convince her.

But I see that I couldn't.

-If you can help... -Of course, I'll talk to her.

Thank you.

Why are you thanking me for this, Kamran?

For helping me.

Of course I will. Of course I'll stand by you, Kamran.

Do you think that it was only our relationship that bound us together?

We are bound up with our childhood and memories, as well as our hearts.

We have blood connections.

Today we're just not lovers.

Apart from that, we are everything for each other, as usual.

Please ask the teachers to draw one name from here.

Kamran Bey?

What is this?

We decided to select the assistants by lot so that

the students don't think they are influenced by the teachers.

Good decision.

But I don't quite understand what this is for.

She'll explain it to you.

I need to catch up with my class.

What's this?

That's your opportunity to steal Feride's heart again.

She's not getting any better, huh?

Poor woman.

Even her servant is not sorry for Neriman Hanım as much as you.

Maybe she did something.

She was fine when we were there. It happened after us.

You can't be serious.

If there is nothing more, you can go.

Kamran Bey and Feride Hanım are separated.

Really?

Feride Hanım left him after she learned about Neriman's pregnancy.

Where did she hear it from? Who told her?

Doctor Bey told her in person.

So he ran the risk of telling the truth.

Okay. Everybody write down their name and school number

and put them in this bowl.

Nadide, let's start with you.

Come. Quickly.

What will the health class assistant do exactly, Kamran Bey?

What will she do exactly?

In our next lesson, I will teach the anatomy of the frog.

The class assistant will be responsible of finding the frog.

She'll help me lay it open.

Except that she'll assist me with the models and in the practice unit.

Come on, girls. Faster.

Come on. A little faster.

We'll draw lots at the end of the lesson.

We haven't had a lesson in a long time.

Where were we?

Sweetie?

We summoned the woman here and so on, but we can always give up.

I'll take care of your little one.

It's not my little one.

My darkest memory.

Necmiye, think about it.

You wreak revenge for the father on your baby.

My decision is made, sister Müjgan. Enough!

One pest is enough for one house.

What are you saying, my girl?

You are my rose. You're my rosebud.

Mum. I know my place.

You know it, too.

I'm not your rose.

I'm the thorn.

One thorn is enough for one house.

You couldn't love his mother, so you can't love her child.

It's easy to say now.

It's easy to promise.

And I need a promise. A hope.

You're doing all that you can. That's enough.

Necmiye, we are not talking to you for nothing.

-Everybody... -Everybody says how they feel, sister.

I say how I feel, too.

If I give birth to that child and give him in your arms

as your grandchild, you'll feel like you must love him.

But you won't.

Every time you look at him, Selim will cross your mind.

All that he has done.

All that I have done.

The sins that I committed against you.

Isn't it a pity for a little child?

My lady. You said you wanted to take some food to the hospital. It is ready.

Ask Cumali Effendi to prepare the car.

All right.

We've finished another lesson. That's enough for today.

Let's draw.

Okay, Nebibe. You pick.

506, Feride.

Impossible!

-There's a trick to it. -How can there be?

-There is! -Didn't you write one, Feride?

How can you doubt me and your friends?

Not at all! I'm not doubting anyone, but...

Is everything all right, Kamran Bey?

Everything is all right.

Why are you here?

One of the drawing bowls is missing.

-Here it is, Sister Superior. -Really?

Yes, I found it in the teachers' room.

Good. Have a nice lesson.

Okay.

Feride Hanım.

You fold it by yourself. You mix them by yourself.

-Good idea. -Yes, draw it yourself.

Feride!

Okay, girls. Come on.

Leave the classroom. Younger students will come after you.

Come on, girls. Come on. Yes.

Quick, quick, quick!

Will you ask for

Alexis' permission,

or should I?

I'll ask for it.

Did I make you wait for long?

You played a trick, right?

You played a trick to make me your assistant.

Feride, please. Am I an opportunist?

You did the same during the lesson.

But I didn't even write my name on the paper that I put in the bowl.

So, you mean I wrote it?

No. Someone imitated my writing.

What can I do, Feride? I didn't do anything, but you blame me.

Moreover, in class, in front of the students.

I'm sorry.

Okay.

Oh, my!

There is something wrong again.

-What can it be? -Something about Necmiye.

That's how she consoles herself.

Come on, let's go out and do our work.

Otherwise, it will be impolite to Müjgan. She always sees us gossiping.

Go on, girl!

I feel so sad.

Why are you sad?

This is a ballad about a mother and her daughter.

-Is it forbidden? -No, why would it be?

You didn't used to be affected by such things.

Why? Am I a pear?

Not at all.

In the ballad,

it says "Tell my mother, so my mother will cry."

It hurts a young man's heart.

I don't have a mother to cry after me now,

but back in the day, I was someone's beloved one, Müjgan.

Every time we entered from that door, we had a story.

Like what?

Once we were engaged, we were floating above the clouds.

Once we were angry, once sad.

Always like that.

You were so right today.

We are everything for each other.

Except lovers.

If one day I'm convinced about it, I'll take out that ring.

Feride!

Good day.

-Feride! -Necmiye!

How are you?

I'm better.

-I made a decision. I am relieved. -I heard.

Kamran told me.

Did you think it over, Necmiye?

I have no other choice, Feride. I don't want it.

I don't feel anything for this baby.

Maybe you'll feel different when you give birth?

And I'm sure it will be that way.

Maybe you'll love your child so much, you'll never want to leave him.

I don't want to feel any different.

I don't want to love him.

Are you punishing yourself?

My mother persuaded her. She brought a woman here.

My mother is not to blame for this.

On the contrary, she's very upset.

It's all my decision.

I don't want to be any more trouble.

My mother and father, they are old now.

She hasn't stopped crying since the day she found out.

What if my father hears about it?

He's already ashamed because of me.

He needs to be happy and peaceful now.

I don't want to do wrong to anyone, anymore.

Here he is again. Bloody evil!

God forgives!

-I'll order you a coffee, now. -We make our own coffee and tea.

-There is a teahouse there. -We won't trade with shopkeepers.

Is something wrong?

Do your job.

They are unloading the goods in the back. Put them in the store.

Of course we will, but if there is a situation...

You supported us on our rainy days. You fed us. You gave us a job.

It's our job to solve your problems.

Your job is to carry stuff.

Go on.

Whatever you decide, I'll respect that.

But, Necmiye, if you don't want this child because you think that

you shouldn't want him, you should think once more.

Look! Kamran is supporting you.

My aunt is with you. I'm with you.

And my uncle...

Kamran will explain to him properly.

He won't be able to look in anybody's eyes because of what people will say, Feride.

Who cares?

Who cares?

And that child has a father. He's not illegitimate.

It's none of their business.

It can happen to anyone.

That's right.

You're not like Neriman.

Her situation is more difficult. I mean...

She's pregnant out of wedlock.

Yes.

They will speak ill of her, unfortunately.

You are different from her. Your situation is different.

Necmiye.

Don't lose hope, please.

Everything will be better if you don't lose hope.

And

maybe you'll start a new family.

Who would take me as a wife?

They would give me to a cripple or to an elderly man.

What if you fall in love again?

No matter if you're married or not.

Your child can have a happy house in any case.

Yes.

Like I did once, in this house.

Necmiye, think once again.

Please.

-Will you go right away? -I have to go.

Let's sit a little.

So let me take you there.

-You were here? -Yes, but we are leaving, aunt.

Where are you coming from, Mum?

From the hospital.

Kamran, give us a minute.

Okay.

I'll be upstairs. Let me know.

Come, my girl. Let's go in there.

Go in.

Did you change your decision because of me?

Which decision, aunty?

You said you wouldn't break off your engagement.

Did you break it off because of my words?

If so, I'd be very sorry.

Kamran has been miserable for days.

No, aunty.

Anyway, I wasn't sleeping with a clear conscience.

You didn't tell me anything different from my thoughts.

You just awakened me from my dream.

Don't be sad.

I'm fine.

Kamran is fine, too.

Good day.

Glovebird?

I won't speak with any of you until I forget how you made me feel.

But you speak with Kamran?

-Because he's wronged, too. -We are wronged, too!

-And you upset Müjgan a lot. -She upset me, too.

Müjgan kept things from you because she was worried about you.

Whatever she didn't say was just to protect you.

I know, but she should have said it.

Come on, Glovebird! Make up with her.

I won't.

I need some time to forget.

How much time?

So, tomorrow?

I'll buy you and Müjgan tea tomorrow, huh?

No, I'm busy the whole day tomorrow.

The day after tomorrow?

Let's go if you're ready.

See you, Yusuf.

What was Yusuf telling you?

Nothing important. We were just talking. Why do you ask?

Nothing.

Thank you.

I'll pick you up at 10:00 tomorrow morning.

-Why is that? -Won't you come to hunt frogs?

-What I love most! -What I love most, too.

Okay. I'll see you in the morning, then.

I'll kill you by myself.

It's your turn now.

Good luck!

Thank you.

-I know you. -From where?

You were here the other day.

Your father wanted to leave you here, then he changed his mind.

Yes, today he sent me with the nanny.

And you're causing damage to get expelled from the school. Right?

But I have to do more.

Would you gnaw on the doors with me?

-I have a better idea. -What is it?

Come with me.

This is the tree the sisters are most scared of.

I fell a lot from this tree and got wounded.

If they think you're like me, they'll never accept you in this school.

Will we gnaw on the tree?

No. We'll climb it.

I can't climb it.

Yes, I'm climbing! Yes!

They won't be able to see me here.

We've had many students like Gülce.

I'm sure she'll adapt in a short time.

But Gülce is a very difficult child.

If you knew how many students we've seen like her.

Oh, my God!

But what happened here?

Gülce! Where are you?

Come on. Show yourself. Your governess is here.

Her governess? Of course not! Take your child and leave. Please.

I wish we could be birds.

My name is Lovebird, you know?

-But there can't be such a name. -Yes.

Actually, my name is Feride, but my friends call me Lovebird.

And my name is Gülce.

But my father calls me Donkey Jo.

They saw us.

Come in.

-You asked for me, my sister. -Come in, my girl.

Feride, I found you a job.

What job?

-The child you met today. -Gülce?

-She's a very sweet girl, right? -Very!

She's a real monster.

Like you when you were a child.

Briefly, her father has been trying to register her to our school for a while.

But you saw the child. She could bring the school down at any moment.

Her father, Murat Bey, is an inspector at the Ministry of Public Health and Welfare.

He lost his wife at an early age.

He's a very powerful, reliable, respected man.

He can be as respected as he likes.

For me, he's a man trying to get rid of his daughter.

On the contrary.

He is trying to give her a good education.

Just like your father.

Murat Bey came this evening. He covered our damages.

He needs a governess.

-Am I going to be a governess? -If you want to.

You'll teach Gülce every day between 4:00 and 6:00.

I didn't tell Murat Bey about your situation.

And I received in cash

your three months' payment.

Today we're just not lovers.

Apart from that, we are everything for each other, as usual.

Dear God.

Thank you for your godsend every time I fall apart.

Thank you for helping me stand up every time I stumble.

Thank you for not giving up on me.

Dear God, thank you for not forgetting me.

Müjgan?

I knocked on your door. I thought you were sleeping when no one answered.

I was here.

Good thing you're here.

What's up?

Today Feride told me that we were everything for each other.

You already are.

I don't know, it made me excited.

She might come back to me.

We are going frog hunting tomorrow.

Don't make a face like that. It's for a class.

But we can turn it into a date.

What do you want me to do?

Feride loves picnics.

She loves borek filled with minced meat even more.

-Yes. Will you make some? -Right away!

As if everything was fine.

As if nothing happened.

The sun rises and the moon goes down as if I was never without you.

The bakery across from us makes warm bread every day.

Classes continue at school.

The thing they call breaking up is a weird thing.

We are covered in blood, but no one is dying.

We breathe.

But no one lives.

Being without you is like acrobatics.

Even if your insides are falling apart, your face is smiling.

My hope.

My happiness.

My morning. My good morning.

And my darling.

My childlike lover

with a courageous heart.

Look, Kamran!

I can be without you, even when I let my hands go.

Good morning, Captain.

Come, my precious. I'm having the coffee made already.

You look great today.

Seeing the schoolgirl changes your world.

We are going frog hunting today.

Frog hunting?

How romantic!

You are supposed to be a poet.

Ours is a love for science, for class.

-So how is the schoolgirl? Is she fine? -Yes.

She handles it well.

I can't.

She has trained since childhood, of course.

Kamran.

I'm coming.

I won't wait for coffee, Dad.

I'll go to the hospital in the evening.

Neriman's vaccine has arrived.

The chief physician has insisted that

the consent of the patient's relative is needed.

That relative is her man.

You get it. Don't make me talk more.

I need your signature.

Okay, okay. I'll come. You should go now. See you.

-Good morning. -Good morning.

Are you waiting for Kamran Bey?

Yes, for class.

Maybe it would be a chance for you to get back together.

Don't worry.

I know you broke up. I won't tell your friends or anyone else.

No, in fact you can.

I mean,

I'm hiding it because...

If I tell now, they will ask a lot.

What happened, why did it happen...

And I feel too worn out to talk about it. That's why.

Shall I tell you the real reason?

Because you still feel like you belong to him.

-Goodbye. -Goodbye.

Good morning.

Good morning.

Come on, then.

-Here you go, sir. -Thank you, Cumali Effendi. Feride, wait.

Wait!

You're not even helping.

You didn't talk all the way here.

Did someone say something?

Let's just work.

Where are those frogs?

Let's get you a little scared.

-Come here! -Muddle-headed!

Let me go!

You would fall if I did.

Feride, slow down. Where are you going? You'll fall.

You'd catch me if I did.

I won't let you go if I do catch you.

Let me go anyway.

So we came here to have a picnic.

I thought we would have breakfast.

I've already had breakfast.

I'm sure you have.

I know you haven't, Feride.

Whatever. I don't want any.

Feride, please, come.

I haven't had an appetite in days.

Let's eat while we are together.

I will be hungry again when I miss you.

No, I'm on a diet. That's why.

Okay, then.

Really.

Okay, then. I shall eat something.

Is that borek?

I think with minced meat.

I suppose sister Müjgan baked them.

It nearly hit my head, Feride.

Sorry.

Did it hit you?

I'm sorry, but my rock is here, so...

Look! Into the jam...

Is that rose jam?

Shall I put some on bread?

Sure.

I mean, just a little. I can have just a little bit.

Forget about bread, come.

Do you want cream?

Open up, open up.

Come on. Let's have breakfast together.

There's nothing wrong with us having breakfast together.

Come on.

I'm acting like this so we don't get our hopes up again.

I realized.

Then just take some borek.

One slice.

I shall eat some cream.

Seyfettin Bey?

I know it's not the right time, but we should have handled the registrar.

The neighbors have heard that you divorced me.

I'm afraid that they might make a complaint.

We have already given people a lot to talk about.

Can't they just bury us so that

they can stop talking and we can escape from all this.

I'm already trying to handle it.

I'm looking for someone reliable.

You shouldn't worry. Goodbye.

Yes.

Are we ready?

We are.

If we are ready, let's start. Take this, Feride.

I'll catch the frogs, put them in here and you'll close the lid.

Okay.

I'm starting. You direct me.

-Kamran, look over there! -Where? Where?

-Over there, over there. On the rock. -Wait. Wait.

Did it run away?

I couldn't catch it.

-Okay. There should be lots more. -Come on.

I've caught one.

One.

Are there more?

Yes, yes. That one. Look, look! There's one.

Where is the frog?

In the lake. I threw it back in.

Feride!

Okay, then. We'll catch the other one.

Sister?

Who are you making that for?

For no one.

It doesn't seem like that to me.

Not at all. For no one, Necmiye.

Necmiye?

I don't want to talk much.

I know everyone is saying something, giving you a headache,

but don't give up the baby.

Sister.

I have already made a hard decision. But it is the right thing.

And I'm sure Gümüş Hanım will be a great mother to her.

But when your child calls her mother, you will be really sad.

You will wonder how it grows up.

Its smell. Its first words.

Sister, please don't confuse me. Let's drop it.

I get you.

You think that it will be alienated here.

But giving the baby up is not a solution, Necmiye.

What if you get married

and give it a family?

There is a problem with the frogs today.

Kamran! Don't!

Don't! I said don't!

Here you go! Here you go!

Feride!

Do you realize how much fun we're having together?

I can't be without you. You can't be without me, Feride.

We can't make it.

I don't want to learn how to live without you.

Please don't learn how to live without me either.

I learned how to, when I was a kid.

I haven't forgotten.

Hodja, God bless you.

So we can do the marriage on Thursday.

We can have the marriage right after the other marriage.

Has your other wife given you consent?

She is not capable to state her opinion right now. She is ill.

Then we can't. She has to give consent.

Don't worry. She will.

-Send me word. -Of course, sir.

Shame on you! You had a marriage with your son's ex,

then set a registrar for your ex-wife.

And he has a widow at home.

You have no honor!

We wonder why it doesn't rain.

It's because of this damn man.

You have no honor, no honor!

Benediction is gone!

Shame on you! It's bad!

If you have something to say, say it to my face.

I heard you from my back.

I don't understand.

Say it again!

He is trying to justify himself.

Repent! Repent! Repent!

Okay, everyone. We are done with class. You may leave.

Thank you, teacher.

Good day to you, teacher.

Shall we take the frog back to where we found it?

That frog must have already made friends in our backyard.

You were supposed to keep it safe.

No, I wasn't.

I told you that I would let it out in the backyard when we came back.

And I did.

Therefore, I have shown you that I am a person of my word.

Now I shall leave your presence, sir. Best regards.

Feride!

Where are you going?

I've got things to do.

Goodbye.

What have you got to do?

Personal things!

Of course.

Excuse my curiosity.

It's a habit.

Kamran Bey! This way, please.

No, no. This way. This way.

Please, Kamran Bey.

The meeting is in the teachers' room. Everyone is waiting for you.

Please, this way.

The scarf on her head was green. I also want to be like Lovebird.

But you don't have a scarf in that color!

I don't care! I want to be like Lovebird. I don't care!

I want to be like Lovebird. I don't care! I don't care!

But, Gülce!

Hello. I am the teacher who will give Gülce...

Feride Hanım. Come inside.

Lovebird!

Donkey Jo!

But I really didn't like this name. Let's find you a new one.

What shall it be?

What about...

Nut weevil?

So pretty!

I'm sorry, I was getting her ready, but when she insisted on looking like you...

Can we do the same thing to me?

Sure we can.

Come in.

Isn't it important, Kamran Bey?

Kamran Bey?

Isn't it important?

Of course.

I agree.

Thank you.

Thank you, Kamran Bey.

Look, everybody, you see.

Kamran Bey, who came to our school as a teacher

from the outside, also agrees with me...

That shows how right I am with my proposal.

Mother Superior?

We cannot change the curriculum just because we want to.

Sister Alexis, please.

I suppose we are all really tired. We should continue tomorrow.

Goodbye.

I have to leave.

Did I say something wrong?

Very much.

I have made so many mistakes these days.

I want to ask you something.

Did Feride have something to do today?

I don't know.

-Why? -She left in a hurry.

You should ask her friends. I suppose they would know.

Until next class, you will study these four letters.

-Okay, Gülce? -Okay.

I want you to fill these two pages by tomorrow.

Okay.

Daddy has come.

Daddy has come!

Daddy has come!

Daddy has come!

Daddy has come! My dad!

Look what I have on my head, Dad. Feride has the same.

It looks really good on my little girl!

Feride Hanım is inside, Murat Bey.

Make me a coffee.

Can I offer you something?

Thanks.

I'm done for today. You can give my regards to Gülce.

Okay.

-Goodbye. -Goodbye.

Even an ostrich is smarter than you.

What are you doing there?

I wasn't hiding.

I lost my watch. I was looking for it.

Okay, then. Wish you happy hours.

Where were you?

With a friend.

Do I know her?

No, a new friend. You wouldn't know.

What's her name?

Why are you asking?

-I'm wondering. -Don't!

Okay, Feride Hanım. I won't.

You don't understand.

With just a single word from you, I get thrown into hell from heaven.

With a glance, I drift to heaven from hell.

How easy it is for you.

You can handle the break up really well.

I have handled it very easily.

Of course I did.

What were you expecting me to do?

Be devastated?

Would that make you feel better, Kamran?

Sorry.

My wounds are mute.

Kamran, as always, I am drawing smiley faces on my wounds.

And trying to get on with my life.

Please, don't come down on me, okay?

Good luck!

Good luck!

Feride, where were you?

Kamran Bey was worried sick. He interrogated us all.

I'm giving private lessons.

Why?

To become self-sufficient.

But you don't need to. You have a fiancé.

Yes, I do.

Therefore, what I ask from you is not to tell him.

Because I want to tell it in the right way.

So you know your mistake and you are hiding it.

No.

I'm trying to make a surprise for Kamran.

Who are you teaching?

Boy or girl?

Is he handsome?

To a small little girl.

Her name is Gülce.

Isn't it a beautiful name?

Murat Bey's daughter, Gülce?

How do you know?

Because of her father. Almost everyone knows Gülce.

Every young female tries to be close with Gülce,

so that Murat Bey can see her.

You say so.

Girl, you're so lucky.

From one hand, Kamran Bey, and Murat Bey from the other.

Of course not!

I haven't even seen his face yet.

I don't care!

My business is with his daughter. Not with anyone else.

Yusuf?

Yusuf?

Yusuf?

Yes.

Where were you from 3:00 to 7:00?

Everywhere.

Answer me nicely.

They made me do so many things.

First the hospital, then the veterinary, then Sιrmakιz. Blah blah blah.

What's going on, boys?

Welcome, Dad.

What's going on?

Nothing.

Just talking.

This morning you told me to go to the hospital.

I did. You weren't there.

I forgot about it, Dad.

A woman will lose her life because of my negligence.

Okay, then.

I'll go to the hospital.

Okay, then. Good.

Good night to you.

Üftade. Neriman?

She woke up. We have taken her to another room.

-Really? -Yes.

Is it alive?

The doctor says so.

-Get well soon. -Thank you.

I guess I dodged a bullet.

I will speak frankly to you.

Your life is still at risk.

Before you were in a coma, I asked for some vaccines from Europe.

Without your consent.

That is your only chance.

If you accept it,

I'll give you a shot.

We are not sure about the results. But we have to give the injection.

Otherwise, you might fall into a coma again, and never wake up.

I trust you, Kamran.

Give the treatment you want.

Check her temperature every hour and write them down.

Of course there are also tests. Do those, too.

I'm a little tired. I will rest in my room.

In particular...

In particular, don't leave her sight today.

Don't worry.

Kamran Bey?

I shall put a smile on your face just a little. Your salary is getting paid.

Really?

Dear sister.

You were crying again last night. I heard your sobs.

It wasn't me. You must have heard someone else.

Would you like to talk?

Come on, stop talking. We will be late for class.

Come on.

These are for Feride's school.

These are

the rent for the house.

This is for me.

Thank God.

Kamran Bey.

Hello.

I'm sorry, I'm a little untidy today.

I'm sure that we can't see you like this every day.

Then you'll enjoy it.

I'm here to give you the rent.

Would you like to sit? I can get you something.

Next time, I hope.

I hope so, too.

Your debt is getting bigger.

Last time, you promised breakfast.

Feride and I will come as soon as possible.

Whenever you like.

I have to leave.

Of course.

Goodbye.

My lady, do you need anything from me?

They haven't broken up!

That's what Münevver said.

He still has his ring.

My lady, may I dare ask you what you want from Kamran Bey?

Zahide died because of him.

Kamran took my sister from me.

-Hello. -Hello.

I was going to pay the tuition fees for Nizamettin's daughter, Feride.

Including this month, it must be a total of three outstanding.

I will pay them all.

They've already been paid.

What do you mean?

Feride?

Yes.

I'm sorry for last night.

Me, too.

I came here to pay the tuition fees.

But they were paid.

I handled them.

How did you do it?

By paying.

Where did you get the money?

What will you do, Kamran?

I've paid and that's done. What's more?

Feride, how did you pay so much money?

It doesn't concern you.

Yes, it does.

You're under my responsibility.

I'm not!

I'm not, Kamran!

I am not your responsibility.

I am no longer your concern, excuse or justification.

I don't need your money either.

Use your money for your child.

You need Yusuf's money, don't you?

Why would you say Yusuf?

You already got it!

You only make stuff up in your head! That's all you do!

Yusuf.

Get ready. I will take you to Glovebird.

Will she accept it?

She will. I already talked to her.

We agreed the other day.

Today is the next day.

You're not only saying it to make me feel better, right?

You know her habit. When you persist, it backfires.

I swear.

We agreed the other day.

So why didn't you say something before?

I wanted to make a surprise.

Okay. I will get ready and come down in two minutes.

Okay.

We will talk again and again, but we won't get any results.

It's time for Mother Superior to change.

I'll ask you something.

A friend of Feride's from outside the school...

Actually, I will ask you something.

Monsieur Kamran.

Why did you agree with what Mother Superior said yesterday?

She will ban the hiring of new teachers from outside the school.

She is completely changing the curriculum.

Shame on you.

Shame on you, Monsieur Kamran. Shame on you.

Mother Superior, our curriculum has been

reviewed according to our students' needs.

Look what have I brought you.

-Sister Müjgan! -My dear sister!

My dear sister. My darling.

I'm glad you came. I have missed you so much.

I missed you so much, too.

Come on. I'll get you some tea.

I have something to do.

But we can hang out on my day off, okay?

Are you sending us away?

Of course not, sister.

If I were to, would I come here and hug you?

I've started to work.

What job?

I'll tell you later.

So at least take me to where I need to go so that I can fulfill my sister's longing.

Of course.

Your suggestions will take our school a hundred years back, my sister, please!

Is there a problem, Kamran Bey?

Come, please.

Come.

Yes.

Kamran is going to be really upset when he hears that you've been working without his knowledge.

He'll overreact at first, but he'll get used to it in time.

There! This is the house.

Well, our meeting was not long enough, not at all.

We didn't get a chance to really talk.

Be patient until my day off.

Then you, me, and Yusuf, the three of us, can meet sometime.

Come on.

-See you. -See you.

Thank you, Yusuf. I'll see you.

Our school is a modern institution.

The notion of discipline is completely lost in our school.

And you're talking about being modern.

What's modern about that?

We can't build relations with our students by scaring them as you mentioned.

A proper educator must exercise discipline.

Is the stick the only form of discipline you understand?

Of course we need to be friends with them.

The stick-carrying nannies are in the past.

With your permission.

Where are you going, Kamran Bey?

Our meeting has not yet adjourned.

Where are you going?

Lovebird!

But if you wear a different one every day, how can we be the same?

-Well, then, we can share this one, too. -All right.

-There you go. -Thank you.

Here it is.

So now we can share.

Well, you shouldn't handle scissors yet.

Come on, then.

Kamran Bey?

Do you know where Yusuf is going today?

They're going to meet with Feride, but I don't know where. Why is that?

Kamran?

When did you arrive?

I'm leaving, Mum.

Why did you come? Why are you leaving, my child?

I just came and I'm going, Mum. God! I'll go crazy if I don't go!

What should I do? She fell asleep.

I will put her to bed.

So?

What shall I do? I should wait, right? I mean she will wake up soon.

She spent the whole night crying. She's quite exhausted.

Why did she cry?

She wanted a picture of her mother, but Murat Bey wouldn't permit it.

Why is he denying her the right to see her mother's face?

I noticed that yesterday as well.

I mean, there isn't one portrait of his deceased wife.

It's interesting that there isn't even one picture.

We can't really know. Let me serve.

It's best that I go.

But it's not near the end of your shift.

Yes, but she's sleeping.

Do as you wish, but Murat Bey is very meticulous about these matters.

I don't know Murat Bey, but I'm fussier about these matters than anyone else.

Also, I'll schedule a lesson during my day off to make it up. I'm not avoiding work.

You misunderstood me.

If Murat Bey came and didn't see you, he may become cross and break your heart.

Since you really don't know him...

Yes.

I'm beginning to think he's a ghost.

You're too funny.

I mean, I'm teaching his child, but I haven't seen his face yet.

I guess that's what happens when you're very high in society.

Don't worry. If he wants to see you, he will show himself.

Speak of the devil...

-Is that Murat Bey? -Most certainly.

Welcome, sir.

Thank you.

Make me a coffee right away.

What Murat he is!

Welcome, brother.

-Welcome. -Thank you.

Hello.

Come in, my precious. Come in.

Were you at the hospital?

I was there this morning.

How was Neriman?

I gave her an injection. She slept well through the night.

Is something bothering you?

What gives?

You made up with the merchants?

The guerrillas outside made sure of that.

Did something happen?

Gossip, mostly. Always the same crap.

They are gossiping like women.

Still about the blood transfusion?

About the surrogate and Necmiye this time.

I could deal with the surrogate and Neriman,

but the fact that they're talking about Necmiye has upset me.

Don't let it get to you.

Let's just get Necmiye married.

You won't be bothered anymore

and the merchants will stop talking once she is married.

You're saying we should get her married.

But is there a suitor, son?

Yusuf.

I think he would be a good partner for Necmiye.

Murat Bey would like to see you, Feride Hanım.

But I don't want to see him.

Excuse me? I do not understand.

Yes. We have come to the end of our time for today. I wish you well.

You mean,

you are going to leave without having a cup of coffee with me,

and the world is going to continue turning as it was.

Is that so?

How to Find a Good Doctor - Duration: 14:58.

Hello everyone,

How does one go about finding a primary care physician, also known as a PCP, or a specialist

such as an endocrinologist or a cardiologist?

You could go with recommendations from your primary care physician, friends, or family.

For me, I've learned that my former PCPs would refer me to their friends, who were

NOT positively reviewed by their patients, And friends and family would recommend doctors

who just weren't a fit for me.

In the end, finding doctors who work well with me is a process that requires due diligence,

research, and trial and error.

The first step in the search process is consulting the online Insurance Participating Provider

Directory Some insurance provides this in a physical

book form, however, the online directory may be updated more quickly and has search features

where you can filter by location, languages, and other factors.

Online directories are also updated more quickly and will show newly added doctors and will

remove doctors who have opted not to accept the insurance anymore.

From there I created a list covering doctors

who are In my area or easily accessible through public

transportation If I am very sick, I do not want to travel

far to see my doctor.

Make sure the doctor is affiliated with respectable hospitals

Sadly, even if a doctor looks promising, I steer clear if he or she is associated with

bad hospitals.

This is an extra for my mom, is the doctor or is the doctor's office able to communicate

in other languages?

When searching for a PCP for my mother I needed to find one who could speak with her in her

native tongue.

I cannot always accompany my mother to doctor's appointments. Furthermore, if information

can be given in one's native tongue, there is better understanding between doctor and

patient.

To further filter the list I may go by certification or schooling, however, those are not major

tellers of a good doctor.

I will usually start with doctors closest to my location for convenience.

Then call and confirm with the insurance company that the doctors are still participating providers.

Sometimes the provider directory is outdated.

Next, conduct research.

Read reviews from sites such as: Yelp

Zocdoc WebMD

Healthgrades Vitals

This can further narrow down your list, however, please take these with a grain of salt as

they are not comprehensive.

That is why I listed so many because I have had to jump to different sites to get a better

picture of a doctor, (if he or she was reviewed at all).

And sometimes it is hard for a patient to judge a doctor's competence.

But if there are a lot of bad reviews, it is a good indicator to cross the doctor off

your list.

I have these links in the description.

Through these review sites you can also determine

how long a doctor has been practicing medicine or conducting surgery.

There are pros and cons to this.

A doctor may have many years of experience, but he or she may be set in their ways.

A young doctor may be very new, but he or she may be open to new information.

This is why finding a doctor that is the right fit for you is so important.

I have had very experienced doctors who were good for other patients, but they would brush

off what I have had to say about my experiences with my own health.

Now it's time to contact each doctor's

office to see how receptive they are.

Ask the following questions: Are they accepting new patients?

If they say, 'No,' you can mark them off the list.

Even if the provider directory says that they are, the directory may not have the most up

to date info.

If they are accepting new patients, confirm that they accept your insurance.

I have had instances where the insurance company said that a doctor was a participating provider,

but the doctor's staff denied it.

Or when my PCP would write me a referral to a doctor only to find out that they stopped

being a provider months ago.

Ask for the office hours and location.

Insurance provider directories do not provide office hours.

Doctors may have multiple offices where they work at on different days and times so you

do want this information handy.

Ask how many staff members work in the doctor's office.

If a doctor has limited hours and very few staff members, these could be bad signs.

My last PCP had these issues.

The staff gets overwhelmed with dealing with multiple insurance rules and regulations and

too many patients and the associated work.

They were always tired and angry, and they would take their frustrations out on the patients.

Are walk-ins allowed?

If you are very sick you need to be able to come in without making an appointment.

But it's good to call the office anyway so they can give you an approximate time to

come in to minimize the wait or they can try to squeeze you in between appointments.

The responses and how they are given may be

a good sign of the customer service

Are they curt but professional?

Do they have an attitude and are they practically yelling at you?

Are they friendly and welcoming?

Some people may say, "If the doctor is wonderful, what does the staff matter?"

The receptionist and the other staff members are the traffic controllers of the office.

They are in charge of setting appointments, running in office procedures like EKGs, receiving

and recording your results from testing facilities, informing the doctor of your test results,

getting pre approvals for procedures, and a slew of other tasks.

Poor front desk operators do not run the office smoothly or they hate their jobs.

They can decide to inconvenience you as much as they can and if you complain they can make

things worse.

It becomes more than just a case of bad customer service, they can end up affecting your health

by delaying or preventing medical care that you might need.

For example, this happened to me with my previous PCP.

I needed the results of a blood test so that the doctor could issue me a prescription.

The doctor told me to call back the next week to find out the results.

When I called, the front desk got very angry and told me that they would call me when the

results came in.

I finally received a call a month later.

I asked to speak with the doctor about issuing me my prescription. The staff refused to transfer

my call.

They told me I had to schedule another appointment, but the doctor was completely booked for the

next few weeks.

When it comes to abuse situations, you can

definitely report them.

But I've learned to spot the red flags and I just switch doctors instead of dealing with

a lot problems that could happen down the road.

If you would like to share some doctor office horror stories, feel free to comment below

or message me.

If you all would like I can do a video on those in the future.

Please let me know in the comments below.

After getting all this information you have now narrowed down your list.

If you want to go even further you can also check out if a doctor has had a history of

misconduct and even the 'benefits' they have received from pharmaceutical companies

to hawk their products.

Use the Professional Misconduct & Physician Discipline site to check out a doctor's

background.

I put the link in the description.

I usually do not judge a doctor by one or two lawsuits that could have been filed for

very frivolous reasons.

However, if there is a long list of lawsuits, I would probably stay clear.

I often see drug representatives visiting doctors' offices.

My former PCP also pushed a drug on me for a condition I thought was non-existent.

'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' did a great segment on this called, "Marketing

to Doctors," which got it all to make sense.

Pharmaceutical companies will give anywhere from a free lunch to money for 'speaking

engagements' for a doctor to promote certain drug products to their patients.

I put the link to this clip in the description, along with the links to ProPublica's Dollars

for Docs site and the government's Open Payments Data site where you can check out

if and how much a doctor has accepted from pharmaceutical companies.

If a doctor is really raking in the bucks from big pharma, I would really consider crossing

him or her off your list.

The final step is trial and error.

When you choose a new PCP, inform your insurance company and ask when the change will be effective.

Double check on that date if the insurance company really did push the change through

before making your first appointment with your new physician.

For a specialist, check with your PCP or with your insurance plan, if you need a referral

before making your first appointment.

After your first visit you can start to make an accurate assessment of whether or not the

physician is a good fit for you.

You also get to see what the front desk is really like.

Also, talk with other patients in the waiting room.

They are usually pretty frank about their experiences.

It is good to have a list of doctors handy because if you find that you and the new physician

don't mesh, you can change and try someone else.

Summary

Years of experience, being board certified, or graduating from a great school could guarantee

a good doctor, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee that the doctor is a fit for you.

In the end, look for a physician that is: Within your insurance plan

Accessible Knowledgeable and caring.

Does he or she: Spend time with you

Provide good communication Show conscientiousness

Have a good front desk Have extended hours

In summary, looking for a good doctor is a very involved process.

We wouldn't buy a car or a house, or apply to colleges without really evaluating all

our options.

Selecting a good physician also takes effort, but the possible benefit would be finding

a great doctor that you trust.

Thanks for watching everyone.

TOMSKA'S DAY OUT 5.5 (2012) - Scrap'd Week 3 (2/7) - Duration: 9:25.

Hey you!

My name is Thomas 'TomSka' Ridgewell and welcome back to Scrap'd Week.

A week full of videos that didn't quite make the cut.

Today's video is out.

TomSka's Day Out that is.

HAHAHA.

ha

Alright

Urgh! Alright. So TomSka's Day Out, which is essentially a hyperactive daily vlogs,

was the first video I ever uploaded to my YouTube Channel. In 2011 I filmed TomSka's Day Out 5 in Lincoln,

but before I could edit it my laptop, my hard drive, just all the footage was stolen and it was gone for good.

This was my way of documenting my life so to lose this Day Out felt like I'd lost a year of my life.

I was heartbroken and I almost gave up on this series altogether, but in 2012 I went back up to Lincoln for the

YouTube Lincoln Gathering and decided I would try and pick the series up where I'd left off.

However, the day just wasn't that good.

It was messy and hard to follow, it lacked context, and there were huge chunks of the

day - namely the meet-up - that wasn't filmed.

I was so bummed out that I very nearly called it quits.

However, a couple months later I went to LA, filmed TomSka's Day Out, 6 and the series was saved! YAY!!

Now for the elephant in the room.

You may have noticed that most of the people featured in this video are no longer a part of my life.

I choose to share a lot with you so I hope you can respect that there are certain things

I'd rather keep to myself

The truth is: relationships end, sometimes very poorly, and I won't pretend that I've

always been the good guy.

In honesty, there's no exciting story to be told and all the speculation I've seen

is far more exciting than reality so, I'd appreciate it if y'all left it at that.

Anyway, thank you for watching and I'll see you tomorrow for a video that was just

a little too hardcore for 2011.

TomSka out!

More pressure on Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud to return to form with Nationals adding Matt Wieter... - Duration: 3:57.

Free agent catcher Matt Wieters is signing with rival Washington, meaning the Mets really had better be right about counting on a bounce-back season from Travis d'Arnaud in 2017.

The longtime Baltimore backstop was said to have agreed on a two-year, $21 million deal (with a 2018 opt-out) with the Nationals on Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports. And while the Mets decided they didn't have room in their budget this winter for a catching upgrade once Yoenis Cespedes was re-signed, Wieters joining their division only underscores the importance of d'Arnaud finally staying healthy and contributing both at the plate and while handling the team's star-studded pitching staff.

Wieters, a four-time All-Star and a two-time Gold Glove winner behind the plate, had a down year both offensively and defensively in 2016. His .711 OPS was nearly a career-low, but he still managed to hit 17 homers with 66 RBI in 124 games for the Orioles, as he continues to recover from 2014 Tommy John surgery.

Of course, d'Arnaud's OPS was even worse at .629, as the Mets' injury-prone catcher knocked in just 15 runs in 276 plate appearances. That represented an extreme falloff in production from his small-sample 2015 campaign in which he hit 12 homers with 41 RBI and a solid .825 OPS in practically the same amount of plate appearances (268). It also cost him his everyday catching job down the stretch of the season to career backup Rene Rivera.

Travis d'Arnaud

(Howard Simmons/New York Daily News)

The Mets also tried but couldn't land All-Star Jonathan Lucroy — who instead went from Milwaukee to Texas — before the trade deadline last summer.

The Daily News' John Harper offered a typically comprehensive breakdown of d'Arnaud's flaws and challenges for this season over the weekend, including the work he's been putting in with hitting coach Kevin Long and the Mets' new catching instructor, Glenn Sherlock.

Bringing back Cespedes was the glaring primary goal for the offseason, and once that happened, the organization had little choice but to stick with d'Arnaud, especially since GM Sandy Alderson never could find a taker for either Jay Bruce or Curtis Granderson for payroll pruning purposes.

But the Wieters signing also leaves the Nats with excellent depth behind the plate despite the departure of Wilson Ramos; they acquired another former All-Star, Derek Norris, in a trade in December, to go along with Jose Lobaton and prospect Pedro Severino.

Jayson Stark of ESPN already has suggested the Wieters signing could prompt the Nats to move a catcher in rekindled talks with the White Sox for former Yankees reliever David Robertson, which only would further strengthen Dusty Baker's reigning division champs.

Noah Syndergaard's emergence as a top-of-the-rotation starting pitcher and willing social-media star already makes the R.A. Dickey trade with Toronto in 2012 one of the great heists in Mets history.

But that doesn't mean that the pressure isn't squarely on d'Arnaud to return to form, especially now that a top offseason alternative has landed with the Mets' primary NL East rival.

OUTTA BOTTE EXPERIENCE

— We've heard enough from Goose Gossage over the years about soft modern-day closers and nerdy baseball analytics types to last a lifetime.

Next question: what does he really think about renowned PED-cheat Alex Rodriguez getting $21 million for serving in the same "guest instructor" capacity as him.

Always good to see, though, that there still is no one who can completely halt traffic around the Yankees with his mere presence quite like A-Rod.

— Trying to decipher the hidden meanings of social-media posts and happenings is my new fascination concerning the various trade deadlines in sports.

The Celtics "followed" Carmelo on Instagram, what does it mean?! Boston's Isaiah Thomas posted an eyeball emoji; that must be another sign!

As a sportswriter friend, much smarter than I am, has been saying for years, "what a business."

— Then again, you have to love this story about Wayne Shaw, the 300-pound backup soccer goalie for Sutton United who quit after being investigated by the British Gambling Commission for eating pie on the sidelines during a recent match against Arsenal.

Shaw has admitted he knew a gambling company was offering 8-to-1 odds he'd be shown eating during the match.

And you thought some of our Super Bowl prop bets were strange.

How to Grow Nails Faster & Stronger: 7 Best Home Remedies - Duration: 6:27.

Someone's nails can tell a lot about them. If you see someone with discolored and brittle

nails, it could tell a lot about their overall health. Most people would like their nails

to be strong and to grow fast.

Nails are made of protein, or keratin, which is the same as your hair. Overall, fingernails

tend to grow very slow, though not as slow as your toenails. They grow about 1/10th of

an inch each month. This does not include children and pregnant women, whose nails tend

to grow very quickly. Sometimes changes in your body, aging, chemotherapy, medication

and other nutrient deficiency can make your nails grow even slower.

It is important to eat properly and take good care of your nails to ensure their health.

Today we will discuss some additional remedies that you can use to keep your nails healthy

and growing quickly.

1. Coconut Oil Coconut oil is a jack of all trades. That

is, it can help in many areas, including your nails. It contains essential nutrients that

your body needs to keep your nails moist and strong. The oil also helps to strengthen your

cuticles, get rid of hangnails and fight cuticle infections.

To use, make the extra-virgin coconut oil warm and massage it into your hands and nails

each night before bed. You can also soak your nails in the following mixture: ½ cup of

organic coconut oil, ¼ cup honey and four drops of rosemary essential oil. Warm this

mixture in the microwave for 20 seconds and then soak your nails in it for about fifteen

minutes. Repeat this once or twice per week for best results.

2. Olive Oil Olive oil has the ability to deeply penetrate

into your skin and nail beds. Because olive oil contains Vitamin E, it helps your blood

to circulate more efficiently, improves any damaged nails and strengthens your nails.

Just take warm olive oil each night and massage it into your hands and nails for about five

minutes. Then, cover with cotton gloves while you sleep. Repeat this daily for best results.

You can also make a nail soak with warm olive oil and place your fingernails in the mixture

for about 15 to 30 minutes per day. This will help your nails to grow more quickly.

3. Lemons The Vitamin C found in lemons helps your nails

to grow quickly, to remove any stains or discoloration and to give your nails a healthy shine. You

can soak your nails in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Before

placing your fingernails in it, heat the mixture in the microwave and then soak for ten minutes.

You can repeat this daily.

It is also helpful to rub a slice of lemon directly onto your nails for five minutes.

Then, rinse off with warm water. After doing this, apply a moisturizer. Prior to doing

this, ensure that you do not have any cuts or hangnails, or it will sting.

4. Orange Juice Just like lemons, the Vitamin C in orange

juice helps to keep your nails heathy. Orange juice also contains folic acid, which helps

your nails to grow quickly. Take some fresh orange juice and soak your nails for approximately

ten minutes. Then, rinse with warm water and add moisturizer. Do this once per day for

the best results.

5. Biotin Biotin, also known as Vitamin K, is a vitamin

that is essential in nail growth because it helps your body produce keratin. Biotin is

found in certain foods, like eggs, carrots, tomatoes, cauliflower, cucumber, strawberries,

oats and walnuts. It can also be taken as a supplement. However, we recommend always

consulting your doctor before beginning a new supplement, as you do not want to experience

any ill side-effects or complications with any medication that you may be taking.

6. Horsetail Horsetail has been used by the Greeks and

Romans for many, many years for nail growth. This makes sense since it contains calcium,

Cilicia and other essential minerals. To use, add ¾ of a teaspoon of dried horsetail stems

to two cups of boiling water. Cover and allow the mixture to steep for ten to fifteen minutes.

Then, strain and let it cool. Use this mixture to soak your nails for twenty minutes. Repeat

this at least four times per week to see the best results. Horsetail can also be consumed

as a tea once per day and it will help the growth of your nails.

7. Protein As we discussed earlier, your nails are made

up of a type of protein called keratin. So, if you add more protein to your diet, you

will see an increase in your nail growth. If you notice white spots on your nails, or

weakness to them, you may have a lack of protein in your body. In order to rectify this, eat

plenty of meats that contain protein, such as pork, beef, poultry and fish. Leafy greens,

legumes and nuts also contain protein. You can also find protein in powder form that

can be added to milk or yogurt to make smoothies out of. However, be sure to consult your doctor

before adding any protein supplements to your diet.

Other tips: When you are cleaning or using harsh chemicals,

be sure to use gloves and protective gear. Do not bite or scratch your nails, as it can

make them become weak. Cut your nails on a regular basis. Just as

with hair, when you trim your nails, it will stimulate growth.

Always apply a moisturizer, such as petroleum jelly, to your nails and hands to keep them

from getting dry. Let your nails be exposed to sunlight early

in the morning to help your body create Vitamin D, which helps your nails grow.

Exercising will help your blood to circulate and will help your body to speed up processes,

including nail growth. Consult your doctor about adding a multi-vitamin

to your daily regime that can help with the health of your nails.

Do you do any of these tricks to help your nails? Are you going to try any of these remedies?

Rodriguez - Gral San Martin - Hurlingham - Ituzaingo - Jose C. Paz - La Matanza - La Plata - Lanus - Lobos - Lomas de Zamora - Lujan - Malvinas Argentina - Marcos Paz - Mercedes - Merlo - Moreno - Moron - Navarro

Top 5 Alola Forms in Pokémon Sun and Moon - Duration: 5:27.

Pokemon Sun & Moon introduced a rather cool concept in my opinion, Alola Forms.

Some Pokémon have adapted to the distinctive microclimates of the Alola region, taking

on different forms than they have in other regions.

These Pokémon are called region variants.

Duh!

Taking root in the Alola region, they live like native Pokémon.

Anyway I've decided to list my favorite five down below.

Leave yours too.

Make sure Like, Comment, and Subscribe for more.

Meowth was introduced to Alola as a gift to royalty.

The luxurious royal lifestyle soon led to Meowth diverging from its origins and becoming

the selfish and prideful Alolan Meowth.

How is that any different than regular Meowth?

Anyway Alolan Meowth will turn hysterical if its coin or pride are besmirched.

It also has great cunning.

When the monarchy fell, the rare Alolan Meowth went feral and eventually grew as common in

Alola as anywhere else.

From prince to pauper.

I love that sassy look Alola Meowth has its like I know I'm bad, but what are you going

to do about it.

While I like Alola Meowth, Alola Persian is an abomination.

Like what the heck is wrong with your face, boy?

When I first saw Alola Dugtrio I thought it was pretty stupid looking, but it grew on

me.

The long luscious blond locks, Mega Ampharos eat your heart out.

In the Alola region, Dugtrio is revered as an incarnation of the god of the land, and

it's treated with great importance.

This is why the people of Alola fall to their knees and bow deeply whenever they come across

an Alolan Dugtrio that has poked its faces out of its burrow.

There is no way I'd bow down to some mole.

Alolan Dugtrio's whiskers shine with a brilliance akin to golden hair.

Removing the whiskers from the Alola region is prohibited.

It's said that those who take them receive divine punishment.

For real man?

Every year, many tourists come back, apparently to return whiskers they had taken.

The island's curse I assume?

The most elegant Pokemon on the list.

I never thought they could create something so beautiful, but man was I left speechless

by Alola Ninetales.

In the Alola region, Ninetales can produce ice crystals from its fur, unlike its Kanto

cousin.

The ice crystals can act as shield or form balls that can be fired like bullets with

enough force to shatter rocks.

Oh man!

It lives on a snowy mountain peak in the Alola region that is considered by some to be holy

ground.

Alright I'm calling shenanigans everything can't be holy now!

As such, it is revered as a sacred messenger.

Alolan Ninetales has a gentle temperament, and is known to aid humans in distress.

However, it is territorial and will punish any threat to its domain.

So just like it cousin its shown to hold grudges?

One of the more interesting Pokemon, Alolan Marowak reminds me of those Samoan fire dancers.

The way he twirled his bone around was magical.

In the Alola region, the harsh environment led Marowak to bond closely with its friends,

which is said to have created a sort of sixth sense and caused it to take a new form.

Wait, so that's why its a ghost Pokemon?

Because its got some sixth sense that makes no sense!

Alolan Marowak rubs the bone it wields against its forehead to light the ends in a green

flame, and then twirl the flaming bone.

It specializes in an attack where it releases a weak ball of flame from its bone that will

relentlessly pursue its foe.

Alolans would fear it for a conjurer, due to its rarity and the fearful sight of it

dancing with its bone.

Calling for your soul.

Number One is none other than Raichu.

By collecting its psychic power in its tail, it is able to ride it like a surfboard and

float in the air.

While its cheek sacs are still used to store electricity, rubbing them releases a sweet

aroma.

This is also thought to be connected to its psychic abilities.

Those Who Give: The Michigan Engineering Team - Duration: 3:32.

I don't think I have a good story this thing be like a very sliver

Hi I'm Amy Cohn

Susan Montgomery

My name is Ron Larson

John Keedy - I'm the Director of facilities for the College of Engineering

I feel like I'm a Michigan man through and through

Great universities like University of Michigan are just tremendously important

in our society and in the world.

It's a place where people can pursue their

intellectual dreams. They can pursue their interests in practical things.

Welcome Michigan Engineers!

One of the reasons why I give back to the College of Engineering and

primarily in the form of scholarships is because I was a beneficiary of those

when I was a student here.

To me the biggest reason to contribute to the campaign is how does that affect

what students we are able to bring here and what those students experience while

they're here.

You know when I was an undergrad I got to do research and it changed my whole life.

And that was because I had resources and sometimes they're small you know I'm

not giving enough money that they're ever going to put my name on a building

but what I'm giving

is book money maybe for a student. It's their meal stipend.

It's their ability to take a few extra hours a week and do research.

You know I was educated here

and now I've been working here for almost 35 years

It's pretty much my life.

Two my kids now have graduated from the University of Michigan

Maybe in a selfish way if I give them a little bit more money they can build another building and I can have

more work to do and keep working here.

Maybe it's a little easier for a student org to know how to get money

Maybe a student org who never thought they could travel abroad

Or why they would travel abroad has gone abroad.

And those are the things that students are doing that reflect my contributions the most.

Yay Baits!

Come on in! High Five! Welcome to Michigan!

Can I just say

That I have never learned as much random weird stuff in a job as I have

in my last nine years in the College of Engineering?

This place has given me a lot.

I mean, yes it gives me a pay check and super grateful for health care benefits. I'm super grateful for that.

But it's been a place where I have grown tremendously as a professional and as a person.

Yeah...I didn't think about that before.

But I've taken a lot from this place and those things that I take will always stay with me.

Because they're memories

and relationships

and lessons and all of that jazz.

So if I'm taking that

then I can give a little something back besides what I give as a professional employee.

Good afternoon and welcome to campus!

Maybe I'm just about building the scaffolding and the students are the ones

climbing up to the top of the tower.

It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine! It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine! It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!

Russian ambassador Vitaly Churkin's cause of death is unclear - Duration: 3:49.

The cause and manner of death of Russia's ambassador to the United Nations needs to be studied further, the city medical examiner said Tuesday, a day after the diplomat fell ill at his office at Russia's U.N. mission and died at a hospital.

Further study usually includes toxicology and other screenings, which can take weeks. The case was referred to the medical examiner's office by the hospital, spokeswoman Julie Bolcer said.

Vitaly Churkin, who died a day before his 65th birthday, had been Russia's envoy at the United Nations since 2006. He was the longest-serving ambassador on the Security Council, the U.N.'s most powerful body.

The medical examiner is responsible for investigating deaths that occur by criminal violence, accident, suicide, suddenly or when the person seemed healthy, or if someone died in any unusual or suspicious manner. Most of the deaths investigated by the office are not suspicious.

The Security Council held a moment of silence Tuesday in memory of Churkin, whom U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called "not only an outstanding diplomat but an extraordinary human being."

Russian President Vladimir Putin esteemed Churkin's "professionalism and diplomatic talents," spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, according to the state news agency TASS. Moscow has not yet given a date for the funeral.

Diplomatic colleagues from around the world mourned Churkin as a master in their field, saying he had both a deep knowledge of diplomacy and a large and colorful personality.

U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley said that while she and Churkin did not always agree, "he unquestionably advocated his country's positions with great skill."

Her predecessor, Samantha Power, described him on Twitter as a "diplomatic maestro and deeply caring man" who had done all he could to bridge differences between the U.S. and Russia.

Those differences were evident when Power and Churkin spoke at the Security Council last month, and Power lashed out at Russia for annexing Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula and for carrying out "a merciless military assault" in Syria. Churkin countered that Democratic former President Barack Obama's administration, which Power served in, was "desperately" searching for scapegoats for its failures in Iraq, Syria and Libya.

Churkin died weeks into some major adjustments for Russia, the U.N. and the international community, with a new secretary-general at the world body and a new administration in Washington. Meanwhile, the Security Council is due this week to discuss Ukraine and Syria.

From Moscow's vantage point, "Churkin was like a rock against which were broken the attempts by our enemies to undermine what constitutes the glory of Russia," TASS quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying.

Churkin's U.N. counterparts "experienced and respected the pride that he took in serving his country and the passion and, at times, very stern resolution that he brought to his job," said General Assembly President Peter Thomson, of Fiji. But colleagues also respected Churkin's intellect, diplomatic skills, good humor and consideration for others, said Thomson, who called for a moment of silence at the start of an unrelated meeting Monday.

Churkin emerged as the face of a new approach to foreign affairs by the Soviet Union in 1986, when he testified before the U.S. Congress about the Chernobyl nuclear plant disaster. It was rare for any Soviet official to appear before Congress.

In fluent English, Churkin provided little new information about Chernobyl but engaged in a friendly, sometimes humorous, exchange with lawmakers who were not accustomed to such a tone — or to a representative in a fashionably well-fitting suit and a stylish haircut — from the Soviet Union.

After he returned to the foreign ministry in Moscow, he ably dodged questions and parried with Western correspondents, often with a smile, at briefings in the early 1990s. Within the government, he proved himself an able and flexible presence who survived numerous course changes after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. He held ambassadorships in Canada and Belgium, among other posts.

Churkin told Russia Today in an interview this month that diplomacy had become "much more hectic," with political tensions rising and stability elusive in various hotspots. At the time, he looked in good health, reporter Alexey Yaroshevsky tweeted Monday.

Raichu's transformation in Alola into Alolan Raichu is a mystery, but the natives suppose

that maybe it ate too many sweet, fluffy pancakes.

I don't care what anybody else says I love pancakes!

There you have it my top five Alolan forms!

Was your list the same as mine?

Tell me down below.

And until next time, deuces!
