know.

Millions of gamers have come to love the Call of Duty franchise, which shouldn't come

as much of a surprise.

The Call of Duty titles have revolutionized the way we play FPS shooters, and have delivered

some of the most incredible story campaigns, and shocking moments.

Whether you're a diehard fan or even a casual player, here are ten amazing Call of Duty

facts that we bet you didn't know!

1.

Cancelled Call of Duty titles.

We previously covered the top five cancelled Call of Duty titles, which included Call of

Duty: Tactics, Call of Duty: Devil's Brigade, Call of Duty: Vietnam, Call of Duty: Combined

Forces and Call of Duty: Roman Wars.

One of the most surprising things about all of these cancelled Call of Duty titles is

the fact that none of them are set in the future.

It's possible that over the next several years, the Call of Duty franchise may continue development

on one or more of these cancelled titles, which would be great news for the Call of

Duty community.

Call of Duty Makes More More Money Than Hollywood.

Despite the community's concerns that the Call of Duty series is in decline, the franchise

is still hitting record numbers that even Hollywood can't accumulate.

In fact, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 grossed a staggering $755 million in the first five

days of its release, which is three times the amount that Star Wars: The Force Awakens

generated in the same amount of time.

The Call of Duty series may be starting to lose sales, but it's no secret that the franchise

can make more money than even the biggest Hollywood blockbusters.

100 Million Call of Duty Players.

In 2014, Call of Duty released a fact sheet of information about the Call of Duty franchise

and it stated that over 100 million people have played Call of Duty at least once in

their lifetime.

To put those numbers into perspective, 100 million people is more than the population

of several countries (even combined).

For example, the United Kingdom has a population of only 70 million.

Call of Duty Propaganda Video.

Believe it or not, North Korea used footage from Modern Warfare in an anti-USA propaganda

video.

To be more specific, North Korea used Modern Warfare 3 footage from its reveal trailer

to demonstrate the U.S under attack.

The video titled "We Are The World" seems to show a nuclear rocket circling the world

before eventually blowing up New York City.

5.

Call of Duty Boosts Music Sales.

The Rolling Stones are one of the UK's most successful bands, but when the launch trailer

of the first Call of Duty: Black Ops released, The Rolling Stones noticed a massive increase

in their sale numbers due to the game's usage of their song.

Although a predicted number of increased sales cannot be determined, The Rolling Stones nevertheless

saw their record sales skyrocket after the first Black Ops trailer, which is pretty impressive!

Infinity Ward Worked on Medal of Honor.

Before Infinity Ward began development on the Call of Duty franchise, the team previously

worked on Medal of Honor Allied Assault.

After EA's frustration with Infinity Ward not meeting deadlines, EA decided that they

would prefer Medal of Honor to be developed by them, instead of a difference development

team.

This left Infinity Ward out of a job, so they decided to approach Activision to develop

a new first person shooter, thus creating the phenomenon of Call of Duty.

In fact, Infinity Ward hated EA so much that the developing game (Call of Duty) had the

working title "Medal of Honor Killer".

Call of Duty Developer Spark Unlimited.

At one point in time, Spark Unlimited was going to be Call of Duty's third gaming developer.

The chance to become a developer for the Call of Duty franchise was given to Spark Unlimited

with Call of Duty: Finest Hour.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour was a success, but unfortunately Activision decided not to continue

working with the development team as they went over budget by $2.7 million.

Finest Hour was to be followed by Call of Duty: Combined Forces but when Spark Unlimited

was fired, the title was cancelled.

8.Call of Duty Red Carpet Premiere.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was one of the first gaming titles to ever received a

red carpet premiere.

The Modern Warfare 2 premiere took place in London's Leicester Square and was a massive

success.

Fans of the Call of Duty series even had the opportunity to meet some of the voice actors

from the game including Bill Murray and Kevin McKidd.

Call of Duty Reference To The Rock.

Modern Warfare 3 featured an exact replica of the bathroom from The Rock.

It's not entirely clear why the developers thought of adding this into their game, but

it's a nice touch and a very cool fact.

Call of Duty's Most Controversial Scene In Gaming History.

Modern Warfare 3 features one of the most controversial missions in gaming history...

"No Russian".

The mission allows players to take part in an act of terror by shooting hundreds of civilians,

although shooting civilians is optional in the game, media and game critics were outraged.

This mission was so controversial that in some countries including Germany and Japan,

the mission was removed from the game.

Modern Warfare 3 made $775 million in its first five days.

That's far more than 'Avatar,' the current highest grossing movie, did.

12.

Gamers play almost 2000 years of Call of Duty a day.

13.

North Korea used Morden Warfare 3 footage in an anti-USA propaganda video.

14.

The German and Japanese versions Of Modern Warfare 2 won't let you harm civilians.

15.

Over five billion cars have been destroyed in the Call Of Duty games.

16.

There are less stars in the Milky Way than there are shots being fired in Call of Duty

games.

17.

Call of Duty's daily players could fill 80 of the world largest sport stadiums.

18.

Throughout the different Call of Duty games, players see teddy bears randomly placed in

the scenes.

When you put all the time spent by Call of Duty players around the world together, it

equals up to around 2.85 million years playing.

There was almost a trading card game.

Even though this never saw the light of day, it's definitely something interesting to think

about.

Upper Deck Entertainment was set to introduce the world to a two-player game that would

see players deploy soldiers from your deck and applying action cards to determine how

the soldiers would interact with the battlefield.

Although there was a decent amount of attention and interest, sadly Upper Deck cancelled the

project before it's expected 2008 release.

21.

Create-a-class was inspired by a board game.

David Vonderhaar admitted in an interview with Polygon, that the create-a-class element

introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was inspired by the tile-based game, Carcassonne.

Vonderhaar had the development team attempt to create loadouts of guns and skills out

of a card based system before evolving into the pre-match menu system we know now.

This inspiration would lead to the massive multiplayer overhaul that has become such

a prevalent aspect of the online match-making.

22.

We've all probably had all-nighters while playing Call of Duty, but one player from

Australia set a Guiness World Record for his gaming session.

Okan Kaya, in November 2012, set the new world record for gaming marathon at 135 hours and

50 minutes.

Okan was allowed to take a 10 minute break for every hour of gameplay, and accumulated

those breaks for a nearly seven hour nap.

During this session, Okan was able to rise to 37th place in the global Black Ops 2 leaderboard.

23.

There was a research study published in Current Biology, that claimed there was a connection

in decision making skills and playing action-shooters like Call of Duty.

In the study the researchers noted that the reaction speed in gamers between 18 to 25

years old was much faster if they played Call of Duty rather than strategic games like The

Sims.

Call of Duty utilizes frantic action and high-pressure scenarios which wound up resulting in noticeably

faster decision making through the study.

Hi everyone, welcome to my video about Manjaro Linux

Manjaro is the ARM version for the Raspberry Pi

Manjaro Linux is simple, fast and complete

I will begin with the presentation

and then the installation

this is the presentation

so we have an update system

I will update the system

i click on close then commit

I insert the password

and then authenticate and the file system is updated

this is all the tabs, the accessoires

developpement

graphics

internet

multimedia

the office tab

settings

for all the settings

and finaly the system tab

the is the software manager

from there we can install and remove softwares in Manjaro Linux

we can do it also with the command lines but this is an easyest way

i choose to install Audacity

I do Apply, commit

I enter the system password

this is installed

I open the multimedia tab

and I open audacity

I start it to test

everything works well

it's there and it's working

we have two desktop in manjaro linux

on the desktop 1 I open the terminal

on the desktop 2 I show you I open the file manager

this is the file manager

from there down I can move to a desktop to another

the desktop tab

I can select the wallpaper

change de desktop

modify the views etc

the display tabs, in is you can modify the display settings

the firewall of manjaro

there I didn't started it but you can start it and insert your rules

open and close all ports like we want

the task manager

this is the task manager

we can see the services and the softwares running

we have a graphical view of the cpu

and the memory use

on the desktop 2

I do the same but in the terminal

I put it in full screen

I enter the top command

thern I can see the cpu usage

what's good is I can see the four cpus on the raspberry

I see the 4 cores

i see also the load average

and the used services

then in sensor view I can see the different sensors

on raspberry pi we have the

cpu temperature

now the installation

you go on this page, I will give you the links in the description

you have the version for the pi1 and the zero

and the version for the pi2 and 3

take the base edition version, this is the must complet with a desktop

we download it

this is a .zip file, you that to unzip it

then you have a file .img

we start by formating the sd card with sd formatter

we take the .img image uncompressed

the 4.4 Go

we click on open

then we flash the SD card

at the first boot you must open gparted

it is already install

this is the partition manager of manjaro linux

I put it in full screen

and the I have to verify that the system partition take all the SD card

if not, resize it

this is this one

so you have the boot partition

and the partition system ext4

you have to shutdown it to use all the free space of the sd card
