O que é a Sequência de Fibonacci? / What is the Fibonacci Sequence? ( subtitled ) - Duration: 5:43.
Welcome to Entretenimentos Diversos. Let's talk about the Fibonacci Sequence!
Have you stopped to wonder what the Fibonacci Sequence is and why it exists?
No? So let's know this and other curiosities!
Attention: The video is for informational purposes only!
The Sequence:
Leonardo Fibonacci was an Italian mathematician, considered the first great European mathematician of the Middle Ages, and he discovered, at the beginning of the 13th century, singular properties of a sequence of specific numbers, which reflect everything that occurs in the universe, logically.
The Fibonacci Sequence is as follows: sum the current number, with the last one and so the next number will be, being repeated the same way, with the next numbers. Let's see how the sequence is:
The ratio of a pair of successive numbers is the division of the number X, by the number predecessor to it, in the sequence. Since the ratio between terms, they are increasingly close to the number of gold, when numbers are increasing, for example: 5 divided by 3, equal to 1.6666.
And doing the same operation, with the number 89, divided by 55, we will have the number: 1.6181, much closer to the Gold Number.
The Fibonacci Sequence in everyday life:
The sequence is widely used in the financial market as a whole, to predict trends that can occur in the markets, through logic and profit from it, being intrinsically linked to the Elliot Waves, in an attempt to predict upward or downward movements in the market.
One of the scholars Fibonacci followed to develop his famous Sequence, was the Indian philosopher Acharya Hemachandra, who was born in 1088 and died in 1173, and he was thinking about a problem and ended up developing a logical sequence, having the same logic as Fibonacci , and can be translated into the discovery of possibilities, through logic, let's see:
If we have a straight board, with four houses, and two different pieces, one piece of gray color, which occupies two houses and another piece of white color...
occupying a house. In how many ways can we alternate the two pieces in this board, without repeating the ways?
For this we can use the Fibonacci sequence, it is only to enumerate above the Fibonacci Sequence, a sequence of numbers beginning with 1, along with 1 of the Fibonacci Sequence, except that the sequence from above continues with 2, 3, 4 and so on.
And the number of houses that have our example is 4, so we will go to number 4 and...
we will see that the number of possibilities to alternate the two different pieces in this board are 3.
Important: we must remember that we exclude a number, because in this sequence, the last piece is already decided, be it a piece of two houses or a house. Therefore, following the previous sequence, it is possible to discover the possibilities of alternation, of the quantities of each house.
The discovery of this possibility of alternation is possible, because the Fibonacci Sequence, adds all the previous alternatives in the current and so on. See the following pyramidal example that illustrates this logic.
Curiosities:
The Fibonacci Sequence numbers can also be used for easy conversion from kilometers to miles because as the Gold Number is 1.618 and a mile is equal to 1.60934, the conversion is not only possible, but very easy to do. accomplish.
If the Gold Number and the ratio of miles to kilometers are almost equal, we can translate the Fibonacci Sequence from miles to kilometers, roughly, using this simple method: 5 miles equal to 8 kilometers, 13 miles equal to 21 kilometers and so on. this ratio can be used in larger values, for example: 50 miles equal to 80 kilometers and so on.

1955 Ford Fairlane Restoration - Pre-Mustang Era - Duration: 5:23.
it's time for show-off Sunday, where everyone has a chance to show off their
own car and here's this week's winner,
hello my name is Ian and this is Mitzi, my 55 Ford Fairlane, Mitzi here is
a four-door town sedan, as one of the mid tier models under the Crown Vic and son
liner, I have had this old girl since about 2012 and she's the first classic
car I've ever owned or worked on, we first bought her from this couple who
kept her in a barn essentially preserved from the elements
they drove her around for a few years went to some car shows and then in the
late 80s she was parked and stored for 18 years, she first rolled off the
assembly line on January 20th in Iowa, the previous owner had been
a physician and this was his work car he used to do home visits, obviously I
didn't know the original owner but something you're struck with when you
look at this car as the wonderful condition she's in after all this time, he
obviously cared a lot about this car and kept her in pristine condition and her
mileage low, this car had just over 38,000 miles when
he we got her, this care is even more impressive when you think about how fair
lanes like this were very common back in the day and we're kind of throwaway cars
something interesting I found out years later is that she originally was
all-white according to the body plate and at some point the blue two-tone was
added, not sure exactly when, a very interesting find was found a few years
ago when I was cleaning the interior, I found an almost entirely intact fold
newspaper dated from the 60s under the front seat, it's amazing how simple things
like newspapers can become historical treasures with age and being under the
seat like that the pages were totally preserved other than that discoloration
of the paper, as for the specs this car has an air-cooled Ford O Matic
transmission, this is actually Ford's first automatic
transmission introduced in 1951, the engine is a 272 cubic inch Y block v8 crowd with
the famously odd-looking Holley 4000 tea pot four-barrel carburetor and oil bath air
cleaner, the Y block itself is a rather underappreciated historical engine in it's
own right, as it was Ford's first overhead valve engine replacing the
tried-and-true flathead engine in 1954, as for the interior and extras it's a
bit more bare-bones, no power steering or power brakes in fact the only thing
powered is the seat which is pretty cool in it's own right, does still work
there is no factory installed radio in this car, but later bought installed one
to complete the look of the dash, it's a very neat radio with the round clock
dial front that's what the analog clock I actually had it taken out and got it
ticking again by myself which is a very neat experience, I did have the tires
replaced with radials, mostly due to the price of new bias-ply tires, the original
bias ply tires actually had held air in them all after all this time, but they
were just so cracked up it wasn't safe to drive on them, I did however keep the
spare that was on the trunk, I personally don't know why you never seemed to see
any of these cars in car shows like you do with 55 Chevy's and such, I personally
think they have a very beautiful style to them, I always loved the sweeping side
trim the way it bends down on the top of the fender and kind of check marks back
up, the angled chrome eyelashes, there's a large abundance of chrome on these cars
it just looks great, since this car had been so taken care of over at 60-year
old life, I made a big deal to keep everything as original as possible and
to not modify anything aesthetically, this is the first car I had ever done
any engine work on, and all I had was a reprint of the original service manual
and some basic tools, it's a testament to how it easy to work on these old cars
were, originally the car would do nothing at all not even crank, but I was against
swapping out engines, I think a big part of the feeling of
driving a classic car is knowing that it's being propelled by the same engine
they've left the factory with, the starter is rebuilt as is the generator
and the carburetor, the fuel pump, master cylinder and ignition components are
all-new other than the distributor itself, which is still using the old
style points and the six volt positive ground electrical system, driving a
classic car is a very neat experience, it feels nothing at all like a modern
car does, while I wouldn't personally recommend driving one as a daily driver
it's a lot of great fun cruising on the weekends of going to car shows, thanks
for watching and thanks to Scotty Kilmer Show for hosting me, I've got several
videos of this car's restoration on my channel if you're interested, rev up
those engines, well that was this week's video and
remember to have your car video highlighted here on my channel, check
this out,

Things I Learned about Galaga While Reading Galaga by Michael Kimball - Duration: 6:05.
Welcome to Burning Books.
I'm Caleb, and I want to help you love video games even more.
Today I'm continuing to review all of the Boss Fight Books releases.
Subscribe and click the bell icon so you don't miss future reviews.
As for past reviews, check the description below for a link to my playlist of all the
Boss Fight Books reviews I've done so far.
Today's book: Galaga by Michael Kimball.
Did you know there's a way to cheat in Galaga by allowing enemy shots to stack, occupying
the game's allotted enemy fire memory, ultimately rendering the enemies unable to shoot at all.
But as Michael Kimball tells us, real Galaga players are ethically opposed to using the
cheat.
The story of Galaga, the book by Michael Kimball, is a personal one, moreso than any
other Boss Fight Books release I've read and reviewed so far.
And it's not just the books theme that's personal--that theme being one of the author's childhood
abuse and teenage awkwardness where solace was found in shopping mall arcades playing
Galaga--but the very format of the book evokes personality.
Rather than the traditional chapter-based overt, linear narrative, Michael Kimball gives
us a series of short bursts of prose that only hint at narrative.
"You can buy a Galaga money clip.
You can buy a wood burn of the Galaga double fighters with a heart between them.
You can buy a Galaga dog sweater."
For example, one section may list a bunch of Galaga-inspired merchandise items--ranging
from t-shirts to wedding cakes--with the immediate next section describing the author's abusive
childhood.
"One time, my dad grabbed me by my shoulders and shook me until my head went blank, a kind
of tilt.
It wasn't until later that night, lying in bed, that by brain rebooted and I understood
what had happened."
Think of jump cuts in a movie and how they cause the viewer to quickly re-invest, the
brain has to wake up to figure out what just happened.
Why were we watching someone talk about a book and now we're looking at an image of
that book.
Something changed.
Our brain has to figure it out.
As oft-media viewers we're used to jump cuts that are thematically related--talking about
book to shot of book--but when the clips being cut between are drastically different--abusive
childhood to list of video game facts--we have to work a bit harder to find the narrative.
"You can buy Galaga t-shirts with a variety of sayings on them.
For instance, you can buy a Galaga t-shirt with the double fighters on it and BFF written
under it.
There is also a tote bag version and a coffee mug version of this."
The way Galaga by Michael Kimball juxtaposes benign merchandise with physical abuse reduces
the import of the abuse.
This projects a flat affect in the author's personality which heightens the role Galaga
played in his life.
In other words, while emotional expressiveness may have been beaten out of author when he
was a child, Galaga became a way for him to control something, to understand that while
his relationship with is father might not make sense, there are things in the world
that can make sense.
Namely: Galaga.
This intentionally disjointed approach is more work for the reader, but perhaps more
satisfying as well.
Functionally, short sections also act as relief valves.
A reader would get exhausted reading full pages of lists.
But seeing the white space on the page between sections taps into the same part of the brain
that rationalizes the "just one more episode" thought process that justifies binge-watching
a Netflix series.
"I checked with a cidada expert who said the Boss Galagas are definitely not cicadas.
She didn't think they were birds either.
Another possibility is that the Boss Galagas are giant flies.
An entomologist didn't rule out that possibility."
With Galaga, book and author are inextricably linked.
Now, I'd argue that book and author are always inextricably linked--an argument I've made
in previous videos--but with Galaga, the argument is easier to make.
The details Kimball chooses to highlight speak to the mind behind the words.
Nothing is properly sourced--indicating that mentioning the detail is more important than
the detail itself--Kimball admits often to lying about various Galaga "facts," and considering
the personal stories are treated with the same reverence as the benign lists of Galaga
products and song references, the choice to be emotionally subdued is a commentary against
emotion.
That's a very intentional choice.
And here's where my only real criticism comes in.
I anticipated the larger theme resolving into something a bit more overt.
Multiple lists of Galaga merchandise, multiple mentions of fake Galaga hacks, multiple examples
of Galaga in song lyrics should culminate into something, especially considering the
book relies so heavily on those emotional content decisions I mentioned earlier.
But the book is missing this closure.
I was hoping these disparate lists would speak to something, perhaps a final page diagnosis
of OCD or the revelation that Kimball has filled his home with all of these products
he mentions throughout.
In other words, give the reader a reason why all of these lists are so important.
If the simple reason is that the author needs structure and control as a response to his
childhood abuse, well, that was apparent on page 17 when immediately following the first
mention of abuse we're given a few lines of ad copy from an early Galaga marketing campaign.
But ultimately, the book's brevity allows forgiveness.
It's a short enough book to be interesting without necessarily needing overt closure.
The book is really interesting and definitely worth a read if you enjoy Galaga or unique
methods of storytelling.

The next book I will be reviewing is
Jagged Alliance 2 by Darius Kazemi.
I've never heard of Jagged Alliance 2
Or 1.
Or Darius Kazemi.
I'm sure he's great. We'll find out.
