Salut YouTube we're in a little mountain town right now called lacunae we've come
down to visit friends and honesty we left last night we were in Paris we took
the train for about four hours and it was direct Paris Tennessee and we found
ourselves next to the mountain and today we are gonna go hiking in the snow up to
a little Chalet and have lunch up there and then we're gonna lose all the way
down I can't wait feels so good to be out of the city and look how beautiful
it is here
check out this view
we're getting ready to fly the drone
so here we are on latet dudeney as we walked up for maybe two hours and we
found ourselves at this little refuge we've just had lunch it's so beautiful I
never want to go back it's sunny blue skies look at the color of the sky my
favourite time time for dessert we are gonna have a cake time do not look so
good
so we are in a region of France right now which is called la voix there's lots
of beautiful little mountain towns we're really just near Switzerland actually
where we're losing all the way down having heaps of fun just taking a bit of
a pit stop a bit of a breather and we're just getting set up again to take some
more drone shots
so as we're in France one of the main questions that we have obviously when we
visit a new region as what can you eat there and cut so far we can eat lots of
nice things something that they're quite famous for is a dish called the Tati
slit and the toffee flat is like mashed potatoes with bacon and cheese and not
just any cheese but a a particular cheese but just called her blush off and
it's apparently absolutely delicious which I don't doubt like potato cheese
bacon what more could you ask for in this life
welcome to NSE at night I love every city that has little canals like
Amsterdam it's just beautiful but little canals with little bridges that go
across cute little buildings on the side very very nice and behind me you've
actually got an old prison of NS C I'm just going to change the focus so you
can see it
we're just here right now in the middle of town and we are about to go out for
dinner and I'm gonna try a haughty fit
you
let me know down in the comments below if you think there are any other things
that I should took off the French bucket list any other regional dishes or
absolute must do things in France I'd be excited to see what you guys say down in
the comments below so we are on day two of our three-day weekend we've decided
to stuff at a little ski resort called more zine basically my friends have gone
skiing and I decided not to go long story short I broke my knee really badly
about two years ago here in France while I was rollerskating and it took me ages
to recover I had a really really bad recovery I think it took me about six
months to start walking again without crutches and I remember when I went to
get surgery I was surrounded by people in the waiting room who all had ski
related accidents like they had busted their knees or their ligaments and I
don't know I'm not sure it's a really good idea so you're stuck with me and
we're gonna do a tour of the village and I'm going to show you around this little
mountain town
something quite interesting that I wanted to share with you guys as a last
night I was speaking with my friends who actually live here and they were telling
me that in France every single region used to have its own dialects so there
used to be a different French kind of language dialect for every region of
France and I think like in a lot of places the national education system
came in and you know sort of enforced there one way to speak French at the
turn of the century and it was quite poorly seen I think to speak in in your
regional language like apparently speaking Britain the language and
Britain me people held on to that for a really long time
and it was quite you know Mel vu they say in French which is sort of poorly
seen by the rest of of France to do that and I think that the regional language
here was called the subway yen if I remember correctly and they were telling
me that it exists a little bit and bits and pieces here today so for example
instead of saying of wah sometimes they say I'll be booked which is their way of
saying goodbye
I have the impression that every single house hair is cute every single one
so here we're in the town square of Moline the real hustle and bustle as you
can see it's just amping the city center
apparently it does get really really busy though and pick ski season as you
can imagine it as a ski resort after all and my French friends are telling me
that it's really bizarre for them because it's like more people speak
English here than French I'm not sure if you guys can see that mountain behind me
but it's beautiful my god it hills it's so good to be out of the city I know I
keep saying this but I really really needed a break from Paris and general I
really enjoy living in Paris but I'm just I'm not really a big city girl
it's really busy you've got the motorbikes going past it's really noisy
you're breathing in a lot of cigarette smoke a lot of pollution from cars and
sometimes you have these moments where you just well for me anyway a small town
girl from New Zealand you're just like get me out of here
so today we're in NSE and we're doing a tour of the castles that they have
around the lakes here
you
