Hey guys, it's me, Maggie J, bringing you another crazy collection of criminals.
In this episode, we'll learn vitamins aren't always a good thing, how to avoid being abducted,
what to do with a big dead alligator, and we get to figure out a mystery.
Plus a whole lot more so I hope you're ready to laugh, be disappointed, and utterly uncomfortable,
all at the same time.
Here is the latest edition of Florida's Finest Criminals.
A Marion County Deputy was interviewing William Dewayne Washington about an ongoing investigation
when he asked Washington to turn out his pockets.
A small baggie with brown powder inside fell out of Washington's pocket, and he stepped
on the bag, trying to conceal it.
The Deputy retrieved the bag, asking what it was, and Washington allegedly claimed it
was his daily vitamins.
A substance test revealed the contents of the bag were actually heroin, not any kind
of vitamin recommended by the AMA, and Washington is being charged with possession of heroin.
Sometimes it's just too easy to be a cop.
Terrible person, Douglas Clark Hoover, approached a 76 year old woman in the parking lot of
a Clearwater hotel saying "Get in the car, I have a gun."
The woman froze probably like I would have, and when he repeated himself, the woman screamed
and fell to the ground.
I have not heard of that tactic before, but it worked!
Hoover ran off to a nearby apartment complex and later dogs were able to track him down.
Hoover is being charged with felony attempted kidnapping, which only adds to his 10+ previous
arrests.
I'm so glad this woman was not hurt, and that this guy is in jail.
At least for the moment.
There ought to be a place we can send people who will never be law abiding citizens so
the rest of us don't have to live or interact with these kind of people.
Scott Andrew Ecklund allegedly drove his truck into a house in Winter Park, claiming a sex
offender lived there.
When police arrived, they found Ecklund in a "fighting stance" outside his vehicle, claiming
he was an FBI agent.
He refused to obey orders to get down on the ground, and even threatened to kill a responding
officer, but the standoff came to an end when Ecklund tripped and fell, and police were
able to hold him down and cuff him.
They were able to determine Ecklund is not an FBI agent, and no sex offender lives at
the house he's accused of driving into, so who knows what's going on with this guy.
He is being charged with battery on a LEO and impersonating a LEO.
Why would being an FBI agent justify driving through a structure?
More of that deep-Florida logic I still don't understand.
This is a crazy he-said-she-said-she-said story, we're gonna speculate about it in the
comments so be sure to pay attention and let me know what you think happened.
Lachelle Soodeen, who lives with her grandmother Bertha Burch, is fourth months pregnant with
Joshua Hewitt's baby.
All three people were at the grandmother's home on April 9th, Hewitt had stayed the night
and in the morning, Soodeen woke up before him and checked his phone.
That's a bad way to start.
Now at least we know why the fight happened.
From there, no one can agree on what exactly happened.
Soodeen says Hewitt was mad about her going through his phone, and he demanded his phone
back, while holding a pistol in his hand.
She went to the kitchen to get a knife, and told Hewitt to get out.
She claims this is when he pointed the gun in her face, then put her into a choke hold.
She tried to wrestle the gun away from Hewitt, calling her grandmother into her room to help.
The grandmother struck Hewitt with something, and that allowed Soodeen to get control of
the gun and Hewitt then ran out the back door of the residence.
10 minutes later, he had a friend drive him back.
Soodeen went outside, the driver of the car got out of the vehicle, leaving Hewitt in
the passenger seat and the door open.
Soodeen says she approached the car, but thought Hewitt was reaching for a gun, so she shot
him first.
The car somehow took off, and Soodeen fired two more shots as it drove away.
According to Hewitt, he woke up to a very angry Soodeen holding a knife and a gun.
He says the gun is not his and he never pointed it at her.
When he tried to wrestle the gun away from Soodeen, her grandmother hit him with a stick
and he ran out the back door.
He'd left his phone behind though, and that is why he returned 10 minutes later, when
he claims Soodeen came outside and shot him.
That sounds sightly more believable, but at this point, who knows.
Not the grandmother.
She says Soodeen was yelling for help, and that is what woke her up, so she grabbed a
stick and headed for Soodeen's room.
When she saw Hewitt on top of her granddaughter, she hit him and the granddaughter yelled "I
got the gun."
Hewitt then ran and Burch assumed he would not return.
She did not witness the shooting, saying that she only heard the front door open, then three
shots, and when she made it outside all she saw was Soodeen standing in the road.
Whew...
Holy goodness I'm gonna need a drink after this
As much as I like gossip, piecing together the truth amongst a whole pool of lies is
exhausting.
Good luck to the people working on this case, I'm sure it'll be a headache.
Soodeen is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Hewitt is being charged with battery of a pregnant person, aggravated assault with a firearm,
and possession of a firearm by a felon.
A Loxahatchee neighborhood is learning the hard way that no one is responsible for gator
carcasses.
On March 30th, residents noticed a terrible smell and eventually found a 9-foot gator
had died in a nearby canal, but was in a position to where the body is floating on top of the
water, instead of sinking below and saving the neighbors from it's horrible stench.
A call to Fish and Wildlife let residents know they were not actually responsible for
picking up dead alligators, and instructed one homehower to "poke it with a stick" in
an attempt to release some of the internal gasses and get it to sink below the surface.
The homeowner did not want any part of that and none of the residents of the neighborhood
have enough hutspah to get out there and get it done, so they continue to live with the
stink.
If anyone has any tips on how to handle a dead smelly gator, please leave it in the

McCall LeDuc,
I'm gonna stick with "le-duke" because I assume "McCall Le-Duck" is a name
that is already on reserve for the Duck Dynasty group.
McCall LeDuc was arrested some time back in March, not sure if it's 2017 or 2018, but
she was arrested for DUI and sentenced to probation.
On April 6th, LeDuc was arrested again for DUI, after someone reported a red car driving
erratically.
Authorities arrived to the area and found LeDuc sitting on the curb near a red car at
Oviedo Fire Station #48, a bottle of vodka in the front seat and a jar of marijuana in the back
That's a ------ party!
They cuffed her and put her in the backseat of the cop car and continued doing whatever
cops do once they have you in the back of the car, but when they went to check on her,
they found she'd gotten out of her handcuffs, and urinated all over the backseat.
LeDuc was arrested for possession of marijuana and alcohol by someone under 21 years old,
alcohol-related reckless driving, resisting without violence, and health safety nuisance
for the urinating.
I hope that health safety business is more than just a fine.
People need to pay, with hard labor, for being this gross.
Ugh.

She didn't really say what she was looking for, but she was standing near Southeast Federal
Highway, facing traffic with both breasts exposed while rubbing them in a circular fashion
and sticking her tongue out in what I guess she thought was a seductive way.
Her name is Johanne Linda Eden, and she stood out there near Federal Highway until Martin
County Sheriff's arrived.
Once they showed up, Eden put her breasts away, but the damage had already been done.
A woman stepped forward, claiming Eden had earlier pulled her pants down, exposing her
lower lady parts, and a man accused her of groping him.
Eden was taken into custody for exposure in public, but I don't think this will sway her
from doing whatever it is that she wants to do in the future.
She is 63 and I am certain she gives no eff's about what anybody has to say to or about
her.
You stay classy Eden, get some pasty's and keep your pants on.
You'll be way ahead of the game next time.
A Melbourne father was attempting to be a great father when three friends of his daughter's
taught him a painful lesson.
The three girls, apparently in possession of a stolen car, were asked, by the father,
to not leave his house.
They refused and started to leave the area, when this guy apparently hopped onto the hood
of the car, I guess in hopes that they would stop.
For about a mile the teenagers traveled with the father on their hood.
When he finally dove off, or rolled off, the car ran over his leg and the girls kept going.
It's unclear if the teenage girls have been found, the car is still missing though, and
the father in this case was informed that no laws had been broken by him jumping onto
the hood of the stolen car, because the occupants had asked him to get off the car.
Staying on at that point was apparently up to his free will, so that's something to know
if you get into a lot of parking lot confrontations.
If someone won't get off your car, you are free to drive away with them on it.
You're welcome, Florida.
Ya'll have gotta be more careful out there.

I care what happens to all of us here in the greatest state, but I'm not so stupid as to
think I'm invicincible.
