Yesterday was the 24th anniversary of the release of Nas debut album Illmatic, which has gone down as one of the best hip-hop albums of all-time.
Illmatic is often viewed as the turning point for East Coast hip-hop taking off, with Nas enjoying an impressive career in the years following.
One of J. Coles biggest songs ended up being the one where he name-drops Nas, with Born Sinner acting as the point where many began to realize Coles star potential.
As one of the leaders in todays rap game, J. Cole was astonished to have Let Nas Down early in his career, but he looks to have redeemed himself with his latest album.
Released today, K.O.D. has been receiving rave reviews from HNHH users, with most of you praising it already as one of the better albums of the year.
Somebody that seems overjoyed with the outcome of K.O.D. is Nas himself who took to Instagram to repost the albums impeccable cover art.
Simply writing the album title and a fist emoji as his caption, the repost itself is telling and were sure Cole is smiling somewhere as he celebrates the albums release.
With Nas on his side, Cole has to feel relieved that he didnt let down his idol through his efforts on K.O.D.

Lil Pumps been one of the young rapper whos been scorching hot in the streets.
Everyone and their moms have been bumping Gucci Gang and soon enough, theyll be yelling ESKETTITT at family gatherings.
However, Lil Pumps actions and general ignorant behavior has caused many to be divided on him.
A lot of people enjoy his youthful energy but many hip hop heads arent appreciative to whatever hes trying to contribute in the culture.
Cole falls into the latter after he released his new album K.O.D earlier today.
Many assumed that he was taking jabs at Lil Pump and the new wave of rappers, but it doesnt look like Pump has much to say about it.
Lil Pump took to his Instagram story earlier to share his reaction to J.
Coles alleged diss on the closing track, 1985. The rapper seemingly brushed off the situation while calling Cole a lame ass.
Wow, you get so much props.
You dissed a 17 year old. He sarcastically said with a chuckle, Lame ass jit.. Coles alleged diss wasnt unwarranted by any means.
Back in 2017, Lil Pump released a song called Fuck J.Cole.
In addition, the saying became a running joke among the Soundcloud rappers including Adam22 who later switched up after J. Cole pulled up on his at his L.A. store.
Chances are this is the extent that this feud will go unless Pump decides to drop a sequel to Fuck J. Cole..
