Dimensions of change? - Demographics Globalisation Urbanisation - Duration: 2:39.

Hey and hello from Berlin! West-Berlin this time.

The two buildings behind me did not exist five years ago.

And for Germans and Europeans in general developments like these tall buildings are quite exceptional.

And we usually become quite concerned about the city, its structure, its future when voluminous developments like these take place.

For me this is a good opportunity to reflect about what's going on in the world,

looking at the two mega trends of demographics and globalisation, urbanisation as a third.

Just as a fun fact, so to speak, let's think about the five hundred million Chinese people that will inevitably move into urban structures within only the next five years.

That translates to the entire European population moving into infrastructure, into cities that don't even exist today.

So while we are still struggling with our airport here in Berlin, which hasn't been finished for fifteen or twenty years by now.

Nobody really knows if it's ever going to be finished.

Others build infrastructure, build cities of a dimension that is beyond imagination for most people here.

And it's not about importing Chinese measures into Europe or Germany or Berlin even,

but it's about taking a step aside looking at our own lines of thinking, our peasants of thinking to find a new fresh perspective onto what we're doing.

Find ways to speed processes up where we've become lazy and slow.

Or think about the sustainability aspect of these structures, their end here in a much, much more thorough way.

So, this is gonna stick with us for quite a while, at least five years and you're hearty invited into a dialogue with us and others

about how to improve the way cities are built and structures are run.

Smart offices, smart homes and smart mobility.

Best greetings from Berlin.

Can you solve the wizard standoff riddle? - Dan Finkel - Duration: 5:26.

You've been chosen as a champion to represent your wizarding house

in a deadly duel against two rival magic schools.

Your opponents are fearsome.

From the Newt-niz school,

a powerful sorcerer wields a wand that can turn people into fish,

but his spell only works 70% of the time.

And from the Leib-ton school,

an even more powerful enchantress wields a wand that turns people to statues,

and it works 90% of the time.

Lots are drawn, and you're chosen to cast the first spell in the duel.

The Newt-niz magician will go second,

and the Leib-ton enchantress third,

after which you'll repeat casting in that order until only one of you is left.

The rules of magic duels are strict,

and anyone who casts out of order immediately forfeits the duel.

Also, to prevent draws,

the rules stipulate that if everyone's still standing

at the end of the first round,

you'll all be turned into cats.

Now, you must choose a wand.

Your wizarding house presents you with three options:

the Bannekar, which binds one target with vines

and casts effectively 60% of the time,

the Gaussian, which turns one target into a tree

and works 80% of the time,

and the incredibly rare Noether 9000,

which banishes one target to a distant mountaintop

and casts perfectly 100% of the time.

Your opponents are masters of strategy, as well as sorcery,

and you know they'll make the choices that maximize their own chances of success.

Which wand should you choose

and what strategy should you employ

to have the greatest chance of winning the duel?

Pause the video now if you want to figure it out for yourself!

Answer in: 3

Answer in: 2

Answer in: 1

You reach for the Noether 9000 first.

After all, it makes sense to enter the duel with the most powerful wand.

But before you pick it up, you consider what would happen.

As the most dangerous wizard,

you'd also be the target of the other two magicians,

and you'd need to take care of the most dangerous of them first.

But afterward, there's a 70% chance you'd be struck down by the remaining wizard.

That's trouble.

Maybe it's better to take the Gaussian.

It works 80% of the time,

which means you wouldn't be a target until the enchantress was incapacitated.

But if you succeeded in transforming her,

you'd probably be turned into a fish immediately after.

If you transformed the sorcerer,

the enchantress would almost certainly turn you to stone.

It would really be better if you missed.

And that's when you have an idea:

what if you took the Gaussian, then missed on purpose?

Then, you would wait for the sorcerer to attack the enchantress,

and you'd have an 80% chance of winning against the sorcerer.

It's a good idea, but there's a problem;

the sorcerer could also pass his turn

and the enchantress, knowing that she couldn't pass without becoming a cat,

would cast her spell on one of you.

And since you're the most dangerous between you and the sorcerer,

you'd be the target.

And that's when you see what you really need to do:

take the weakest wand, the Bannekar, and miss on purpose.

Now the sorcerer knows that he'll be targeted by the enchantress

and he'll have to try to turn her into a fish to avoid being turned into stone.

Seventy percent of the time he'd succeed

and you'd have a 60% chance of winning the duel

at the beginning of the next round.

If he fails, chances are he'll be turned to stone

and you'd still have a 60% chance of winning the duel against the enchantress.

There's a slim 3% chance you'll all be turned into cats,

but when everything's accounted for,

you have better than even odds of winning with this strategy.

And that's the best you can do.

Here's what the probability of winning for the different strategies looks like.

Who would've thought that the best way to take your shot

would be to throw away your shot?

How a Labiaplasty Can Improve Intimacy - with Hawaii Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Schlesinger - Duration: 0:58.

Ji Mi: Will it improve intimate time for me?

Dr. Schlesinger: Absolutely.

The frenula, these little pieces that come off of the clitoris are hooked to the labia

menora.

It's kind of like a spider web when you touch on the spider web, the spider knows something

is going on.

Well same here.

When you tighten the labia so they're not floppy anymore, and they're not hanging on

anymore, and you touch the labia, you pull on the frenula from the clitoris and there's

much greater stimulation.

In the tummy tuck, when you pull the vulva upward, what you're doing is you're also pulling

the clitoris upward because it's fallen between your legs, you pull it upward and now it's

in a much better location for friction.

Lots of pluses.

Irish guy eats homemade Belarusian cuisine for the first time - Duration: 9:09.

- Welcome back everybody! How great to see you once again. I am in Belarus.

Welcome to Grodno! So what is Grodno? Grodno is a city of about 350 thousand

people that lies in Belarus and the reason that I have decided to come here

is because it's five days visa-free so that's another one of these places that

you can come to Belarus easier and this is a special regime to come to this city

and this city only. You can get banned if you leave Grodno apparently. I've been

told so yeah you definitely have to respect the territorial limits if you

want to come here for five days and come back to Belarus again without any issues

and yeah so let's go together and I'm gonna give you a little bit of an overview

what the city looks like.

Lenin is still in parts of the former Soviet Union. You see these Lenin statues ...

not anymore in Ukraine. They kinda decided to dump Lenin symbolically in the last few years.

Welcome! I'm going to be giving you a little bit of master class on how to make the national dish of Belarus.

These are called draniki and of course first thing is to have potatoes so I've

already really grated those up. Got myself some eggs. We would not be in Belarus if

we didn't have potatoes. Something that they have in common with

the Irish and then of course, smetana, ubiquitous here in the former

Soviet Union and got some oil to fry everything and of course because I love

the bison that you would have seen my video in Brest. I'm gonna wash that down with a little

bit of vodka just just one or two of them.

So these are the fruits of our labor. Draniki, Belarus' national dish

with lots of smetana to go with it so now I've gotta try out

these draniki, right? What are they gonna taste like? My first time homemade

draniki, Belarus' national dish.

Simple but tasty potatoes, egg, flour and some smetana

so thumbs up for Belarus and it's homemade cuisine.

While normally you need a visa to visit Belarus but there are these three regimes that you can

take advantage of. One of the little bit of complications is that you can't

really be too spontaneous. You have to order the visa-free documents through a

tour, through an agent at least the evening before if you're lucky to get it on such

short notice and you need to have everything in a line. So you need to know

I mean obviously what date you're arriving, how you're arriving, you need to

have your point of entry and you need to have organized your tour and you need to

have of course your address for your accommodation where you can be staying

here in Grodno so that means you have to have

all those things organized before you can before you can actually pay for and

get the visa-free documents.

So here I am at the train station in Grodno so I'm close to the

Polish-Lithuanian border and this town actually is one of the few cities in

Belarus that was not destroyed during the Second World War so it actually still has

a lot of the old buildings especially in the city centre when you drive around if

you walk around you're gonna see a lot of older buildings than you're gonna see

in other cities in Belarus or in the region in general. Now there's a river

that goes to through the city that's the River Neman and what is really interesting is about

half the city or the region is exactly ethnic Polish so that's like

interesting because we are near the border with Poland but the ethnic Poles happen

to speak Belarusian about half of them while actually in Belarus the Belarusians

generally all speak Russian today so it's kind of this odd phenomenon that

Poles speak Belarusian and the Belarusian speak Russian ...

What next the Germans are going to start speaking Polish? I know it's a little bit crazy

but that's because Belarusians have moved ... basically they are closer to Russia and

have ... they're in a union with Russia of course and it's more common today to

speak Russian than in Belarusian especially in the cities but the ethnic

Poles they kind of split in terms of speaking either Belarusian or Russian as

their ... today their native tongue. Obviously historically they spoke Polish originally so

that's just something I found really interesting and in the city itself so it

is time for me to take the train to Warsaw. I have about looking at the clock

about 20 minutes to clear customs and passport control so I'm gonna have to take

all my stuff now and go through that procedure actually do it here in the train

station in Grodno. You don't do it on the border per se. This is actually the

border control here when you arrive in the city. That's something else also to be aware

of so give yourself a little bit of time. The other thing that you need to

give yourself maybe a little bit of time is I used the taxi voucher that came

up my visa-free documents for the last trip here down to the train station

and you know the taxi drivers they won't probably have seen this voucher

before, this coupon and it just meant that we have to chat with the dispatcher

on the radio for a couple of minutes so if you were rushing to you know

catch whatever happens to be .. train, plane, bus ... whatever just factor in

and give yourself an extra 15 minutes if you're going to use the taxi voucher.

If enjoyed this video, Grodno, Belarus, visa-free for five days then give it

a big thumbs up. It means a lot to me to see those likes and it also lets

me know that you're enjoying the content I should make more of these. Of course

there's that little red button to subscribe but you've probably already

subscribed, I think, at this stage. I've asked so many times. Whack that notification bell

beside the subscribe button for sure so that you get notified whenever I upload

a new video. They've been quite regular recently so lots of great content to come

from this region in Eastern Europe in the next few months especially over the

summer. I'm planning to be in this region in Ukraine and Belarus and Russia for

the summer and in fact I've been working on a new course, a new premium video course

'how to survive a trip to Eastern Europe' so if you're interested in traveingl

Eastern Europe definitely you want to be on my mailing list for that and there's

actually a little free gift if you go down there and subscribe by email so

there's a link in the description below the video. Definitely do that if you're

not on my mailing list for travel. There's a little training course there

a free one, everything is free if you sign up to the mailing list

so make sure you go and do that. So that's gonna be it for me. I'm actually

gonna take a little bit of a break from Eastern Europe. I should be candid about that.

For the next six weeks I'm gonna be in Spain and Italy working on different projects

but after that for the summer I'm gonna be back in this greater region so I look

forward to seeing you guys all your smiling faces out there on YouTube who

are passionate about travelling, learning languages and having a more local

experience in Eastern Europe so it's this до свидания ('goodbye' in Russian) from Grodno, Belarus!

How to Draw a Ruby Ring With Color Pencils - Narrated - Duration: 3:58.

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will draw a ruby ring.

We begin by sketching an oval for the ring.

We start very lightly and then apply more and more pressure.

Let´s draw the width of it.

Good!

And then a circle or nearly a circle for the Ruby itself.

On the circle there will be six little braces to hold the stone.

I´m drawing this in perspective, as you see, but it is a very simple perspective.

Now I switched to a red.

All this sketch I am doing it with the Col-Erase pencils, precisely

because they can be erased, so I can do any corrections.

Now let´s draw the shapes of the facets.

It will have a sort of square in the middle and then a lot

of triangles, more shapes similar to triangles.

Those little triangles will be like the texture inside the stone.

Let´s grab an intense dark red and choose some to fill in.

Then with a light red we do some other ones.

Very good!

And now with a dark blue I do some shading, on top

of some sides of the dark ones.

And I do the same with a purple also filling in with some completely

with this color…

just to create changes in tone.

I´m trying to do them a bit scattered, what I mean is that there are not

many of the same together, but there are spread.

It is not totally random, however.

In the end, it will have more of the darkest ones toward the edges

at the bottom part, so as to give some volume.

We do a few with an intense orange, and then with the blue

draw the base for some other ones,

and we go over these of course with a red.

If you would like clear, step-by-step instructions on how to draw precious

stones, as well as many other surfaces and effects, I recommend you my book

¨You can Draw! Simple Techniques for Realistic Drawings¨.

Let´s give a very light tone to these two or three spaces that we have

left white.

In the description below the video I will give you the full list of materials

that I used for this drawing and I'll also place the link for the book on Amazon,

or in the U.S. you can also find it in bookstores.

Good!

Now let´s draw some reflections to the little metal holders.

And to the ring of course.

You can really play with the reflections that is not a set thing because

as you move the ring, they will change a lot.

I think maybe it was a little bit hard to see in

the video but after I was done coloring the stone, then I took the white pencil

and did some big facets, or cuts of the stone…

…like the central big square and the left side of the ruby.

Yes these bigger ones will be the cuts of the stone, and the other

ones are like the texture of the ruby.

I want to thank you for watching this video and I want to especially thank uncle

Raggy and Erick Thomas for always being there.

It´s ready!

If you enjoyed please give it a LIKE! share it to your friends and subscribe

to Fine Art-Tips.

And I will see you, on Tuesday ;)

Quite tough...

We are now at 480 m above sea level ...

This climb is about 7 km in total -

It's tough - but what a beautiful landscape!

It's 10% steep already!

The Lambo is now here!

Oops - I made a scratch :-D

And so we arrived at Alaro -

- the route back to Palma is already familiar to you.

That was our ride to Orient today -

- the landscape was worth climbing.

The evolution of diving watches - Bachmann & Scher - Duration: 21:56.

Dear watch enthusiasts, today Thomas Bachmann and I will talk about diving watches.

Watertightness in watches became an issue only after WW I.

In the 1920s, Omega, Rolex and a few other brands tried to sort it out.

First real success came with Mr. Wilsdorf`s original Oyster,

which was worn by Mercedes Gleitze,

when she successfully swam the channel between England and France.

The basic idea that Mr. Wilsdorf applied to the Oyster model

was to screw together two opposite rings.

Thus he produced a watch which for the first time was truly waterproof.

The watches were sold using a gimmick and placed in a glass of water in the shop window

so that passers-by saw 'a water-protected, practical watch'.

I find it remarkable that even then Rolex offered the watches made of silver and of gold.

They were watches for gentlemen with an active lifestyle.

Let's skip ten years between Mercedes Gleitze's watch

and the first real diver's watch in history.

As a matter of fact, this is just the same watch, just larger, more massive, and with a radiant radium dial.

This is the third ever manufactured Panerai watch from 1935-1936, reference 36-46.

The first series can be identified by these two screws on the dial,

because they had problems attaching it at that time.

The lid and bezel were screwed in.

It is an important detail that it has a Rolex movement and a screwed crown.

Panerai was actually just a middleman for the Italian military.

Rolex produced the watches.

Thomas, we also have a new one here.

Could you compare between the models from 1936 and 2016?

Actually, these old Panerai models are Rolex watches commissioned by Panerai.

New Panerai models have nothing to do with Rolex anymore.

Today, it is a company on its own, the Richemont Group, and they produce their own movements.

Of course they are still based on Panerai's iconic design from the 30s and 40s.

Subsequently, Panerai went on to build watches for the Italian police and also for the Egyptians.

Actually, they were only active in the tool watch segment.

Do you remember when we bought the first one?

We tried to sell it the same day

because we thought the boom would be over within a week.

They were absurdly big.

We both laughed about how clunky they were.

It was a Mare Nostrum.

We bought it and immediately wanted to sell it off.

We believed this could only be a joke.

Well, we were massively wrong.

Panerai is a huge success story and has a vast fan base.

Paneristi even have their own nickname.

They are absolute cult watches.

Modern models are usually limited.

There are various lines.

But I really think that nowadays they cannot be considered classic diver watches anymore.

After World War II, Rolex registered many patents

and launched the first and probably most famous dive watch ever:

the Sub-Mariner.

This is a model from the 50s.

It is still without crown protection, nor with radium dial or rotating bezel.

Lots of patents.

Today, a watch must be more than 100 meters waterproof

in order to be considered a diver's watch.

Probably, the old Panerais were 100 meters waterproof, too.

But they were not tested.

It wasn't until the mid-fifties,

that a standard for waterproofness was introduced.

The early models with the small crown

were waterproof up to 100m. Later models such as…

... the James Bond Big Crown were already 200 meters waterproof.

One more striking feature:

For the first time, there is a rotatable bezel at Rolex.

It indicates to divers how long they can stay underwater.

You could set a new 12 o'clock by placing the triangle on the minute hand

and then knew how many minutes you had already spent in the water.

An incredibly practical solution and if you're not jogging for more than an hour,

it still makes great sense today.

Of course it was a bit dangerous

because the bezel could also rotate in the wrong direction.

In the end, one thing is always important in a diver's watch:

Waterproofness, obviously, but also good readability.

I.e. the watches have to shine bright. Unlike Rolex,

Blancpain even inserted the bezel numbers in radium.

Very bright...

While underwater you could read only faintly a Rolex by the triangle

where the luminous point is inserted.

Whereas the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, because of the ring, you could even read numbers

and the hour indices.

The Mil-Spec is a very special model of it.

It has a large field of radium in the middle. This radium discolors

when moisture penetrates and so the diver could see:

Oops, my watch is just drowning, soon it won't be showing the correct time anymore.

Most of them have been delivered to the American army and have been made for it.

Blancpain equipped America's and France's armies.

Of course, soldiers lying in the mud needed a dirt and moisture-proof watch.

Someone who dives 100 meters deep,

be it to fix a mine or lift an anchor had different requirements.

How do you differentiate between a swimming watch and a diver's watch?

For me, it comes down to a rotating bezel, good readability even in the dark

and waterproofness for more than 2 minutes in 30 or 40 meters.

For this, you needed specially attached crowns.

More massive cases...

It is not sufficient to screw the floor.

The bezel on top of the glass must be screwed,

or you need a special washer built in.

One of the big Swiss manufacturers is Omega.

They too, took the issue of diver's watches very seriously

and equipped the Royal Navy, also the Americans, Israelis

and many others.

The Royal Navy also had Rolexes but mostly used Omega watches.

There is an anecdote

that many English divers left the crowns of their Omegas unscrewed on purpose

so that they would drown in order to then get a Rolex. As if they weren't just as good.

This total nonsense, obviously. Of course they are just as waterproof.

This one went to Israel. This is an Israeli combat diver watch.

You can see that all those who traveled a lot in the 50s and 60s

needed battle-tested and solid watches.

And it left its traces on the watches.

Let's see something else exciting. You have a Blancpain Barracuda.

One can say of course that all diver watches of the 60s looked a bit similar.

After all, most have been built for army units.

If you hold the watches next to each other, you see ...

... a basic similarity, whereby the Barracuda is of course an incredibly attractive watch ...

Certainly one of the coolest Blancpains ever made.

We did not want to talk so much about Rolex,

but let's talk a bit about Rolex nevertheless.

Here is one of those important patents, you can see it quite well in these two models.

They are about 8 years apart.

The crown protection in the case of the 5512, with the great golden dial

and the 65 36-1. You can see that the watches actually still look the same until today.

The crown protection is very important so that you don't get caught while diving and the crown breaks off.

That is the most distinctive feature here.

There are two things a watch company can boast with:

either their products are very accurate.

Or - and that's how Rolex made it - that they are particularly waterproof

or particularly robust.

The Rolex Submariner is certainly one of the watches

that has transformed from a pure tool watch to a lifestyle product.

That's a Sea Dweller now. Correct.

For a long period of time The Sea Dweller was merely a tool watch.

A professional diver's watch.

Why?

It had been co-developed by the Comex Company.

Comex had been a professional diving company in Marseille, France.

At the time, derricks were built,

platforms in the sea. There, it wasn't about 200 or 300 meters.

No, they needed watches that were up to 500, 600 meters waterproof.

The problem was, if you went down to 600 meters with a classic Submariner that was really tight,

that watch would burst.

When coming up, helium which had formed in the depth

wanted to escape the watch and often caused the glass to burst.

Exactly, either you had a glass that was about this thick

or you had a Sea Dweller.

That's what the Comex Company had developed together with Rolex around 1966/67.

The so-called Helium Escape Valve.

Classically also very massive Plexiglas, which is highly arched

and thus improves the readability even more.

Normally, you couldn't buy a Comex.

It was a watch that you could only obtain as a professional diver

and you also kept a watch diary.

Could you show the number on the back of the watch?

I can't show it completely, because obviously it would identify the watch.

Nowadays, these watches are most in demand

when they come with the full history, a dive book, ID card of the diver,

contracts with Comex etc. The more litany, the more the collector pays.

It tells you on which dives the diver wore the watch

and that makes it real fun for collectors.

So now Rolex considered of course , if something was good for Comex,

it could also be good on the ordinary diver's watch market

In 1967 they launched the Mark I, Submariner Sea Dweller.

Here we have a Mark III, double red.

The first generations still have a red lettering.

Collectors also distinguish between Mark I to Mark V

which can be found in various slightly different versions and various years of make.

All watches made between 67 and 83 share some features:

They have a rather highly curved plexiglas, just like the original Comex model.

And they all have the classic valve opening on the side, where can can escape.

A lot of people don't know

that Omega was part of the Comex battle.

They too built a watch that was waterproof even at this depth.

Up to 600 meters. The so-called Ploprof. With a big block-like design.

In order to remove the movement you have to remove the glass, first.

You need a special wrench for it.

A lot of engineering had gone into this, but eventually the Submariner won.

It was the first time anyone had thought that

it would be great if the diver's bezel wouldn't rotate in both directions

so that the dive time would not be accidentally extended.

The fat red button released the lock

in order to rotate the bezel in one direction only.

By this you had certainty not to stay underwater for too long.

In my opinion, Jaeger-LeCoultre has built one of the most beautiful and cool diving watches.

The Polaris 2 with the incredibly beautiful, egg-shaped case,

rotating bezel but here with a second crown for the alarm clock.

So this watch...Does it ring under water?

That's the great thing about it. It is waterproof and rings underwater.

Can you hear that underwater? Have you ever heard that?

Underwater it sounds much, much louder. That's the great thing about water.

Water carries sound better than air.

The great thing about this watch was the alarm

which reminded you to come up, to decompress

or of other vital things...

Such as lunch break. Lunch break, exactly.

Vital lunch break.

To me, the Polaris 2 is a true design highlight in this whole collection.

Taking a look at the formal language,

it is quite obvious that we have arrived in the 70s.

The watch cases are all larger, egg-shaped

and come in amazing dial variants.

The Zenith Thousand Meters, called Big Lemon. Big lemon, yes.

An incredible sexy watch. It is one of my absolute favorites.

IWC too, contributed something with the Aqua Timer.

It was available in different dial colors.

We have a black one here, but they also came in red and blue.

But I think the Big Lemon and also the Enicar are the greatest.

Design lovers with a watch collection are very satisfied

that not everything is always steel black

but finally bright yellow, cool gray and bright orange.

That's been typical of the Seventies, the space-age was just more colorful.

Tudor, a subsidiary of Rolex,

sold very exciting similar-looking Submariners, too.

They also went to the military in France and Argentina.

It used to be a poor man's Rolex,

which is why the army was interested in it during the 70's.

In principle, the function was the same as with a Submariner.

Not quite, it was not that waterproof.

If a Submariner was 300 meters waterproof, a Tudor was 200 meters waterproof.

They were always a bit of the slimmed-down version,

without a Rolex movement and of course with an ETA movement .

Though of course the case, strap and crown system were still supplied by Rolex.

Today these models are particularly popular with the large, characteristic, wide hands

called "Snowflake".

Tudor watches were not spared.

Because they were cheaper, they were worn with less care and less maintenance.

Nevertheless - today Tudor is one of the most sought after brands

of collectors watches in our business.

Tommy, as we move from the seventies to the eighties, I automatically think of one watch.

A true representative of the 80s - in terms of design.

The Ocean 2000 by IWC.

A masterpiece by Porsche Design

which at that time had a very successful cooperation with IWC.

Unfortunately it ended in the 90s.

The great thing about this watch is that it was waterproof down to 2000 meters.

It is built in titanium, which was a new material in the watch market at the time.

It was so attractive that even the German Bundeswehr frogmen

switched from Blancpain to IWC, to this clock.

The watch came with flat glass and also with a quartz movement.

They were available for fighter swimmers and mine sweeping missions.

I think it is so cool.

There is something both ugly and nice about it, but it does not leave you untouched.

I find it exciting and would definitely wear it, too.

When combined with a Velcro textile strap

I find you can't take its design any further.

With the titanium strap you had a lot of trouble,

because the pins were made of steel

which had the unfortunate tendency to wear out,

if you wore the watch a lot and often.

It is not the only IWC watch made of titanium, but certainly the most significant. Definitely.

We have arrived in the 90s,

and here is a classic Submariner.

Actually, this was a further development of the watches from the 60s.

Anbody with a Submariner collection usually gets to hear from his wife:

"You always bought the same watch. Why are there 35 watches all the same?

I don't understand at all!" As a man, of course you know the reason. There are small differences

but one really has to point them out.

There have been more changes in Rolex in the last five to six years.

Around 2007/2008. That is almost 10 years ago, Tommy. Right.

Actually, the ceramic bezel and the sapphire crystal are the biggest difference.

You now have in your hand a Sea Dweller 4000 that was built during three years, only.

Correct.

It was launched with 40 mm diameter.

And that one is 1220 meters waterproof.

Like its predecessor.

Correct.

And the successor ... the Deep Sea, Deep Blue, Sea Dweller

is waterproof up to 3900 meters. With 44 mm of diameter.

Actually, this is really something for you. I cannot wear it.

It also has a helium valve. It is built much more massive,

has a narrower proportion of the strap and is really big.

The whole thing reminds me a little bit of SUVs.

In the 70s, SUVs were really needed to drive off-road.

But today, if you stand in the city and look around,

you will see a large SUV every minute.

But they are only used for normal city traffic.

And it is similar with divers' watches.

People actually wear these diver watches today as lifestyle products.

But when they do go diving

most people prefer to use quartz watches

and spare their diver's watches because they could be scratched.

This reminds me of a golden Submariner.

You can hardly imagine wearing one while diving.

Maybe for swimming - but certainly not for diving.

Well, that depends on the pool.

Depends on the pool.

Here is a current Rolex with ceramic bezel.

This one seems to have gone through quite a bit.

But really these are watches, that you do not wear for diving.

It is a tool watch stripped of its original purpose.

Because 18k gold as material is simply too scratch-sensitive and too shock-sensitive.

Nevertheless, it looks good

and the first golden ones were made in the 70s.

Summarizing, one can say that it is a status symbol to wear a great diver's watch.

Whether it is 3900 meters waterproof or made of gold or white gold.

It is mainly a show object. But of course they are real fun. Right.

Tommy, we started with Panerai, now,

last but not least, let's look at a current Panerai.

Of course, it is a diver's watch, as well. This is a Bronzo model.

It is yet another watch that you can hardly imagine being used underwater.

Bronze is a very interesting material for watchmaking.

You should not wear it directly on your skin,

which is why these watches always have a steel bottom.

And if you use the watch in salt water they will change dramatically.

It gives a nice vintage effect. The watch will suddenly look 70 years older.

So bronze oxidizes like mad and will quickly stop being red...

But there is something to it. Yes, there is.

Panerai was the first company to use this in the diving watch sector.

Looks great in any case and always ages differently,

depending on how you use it.

I think Tudor has a bronze too. IWC, too.

It seems to be trendy now.

That's why we show it. We have arrived in 2018.

These are the watches of the last one, two years. Not much new has arrived at the diving scene.

These days, it's more about style and looks.

So which watch would you take home tonight and not on the beach?

I chose the 1961 IDF Eterna-Matic.

Its size fits my wrist well.

I find it beautiful, it has a wonderful dial and

is in well preserved condition. And I also know the historical background of this watch.

It went through a war, which I find quite thrilling.

I would probably take the Eneka with me tonight. Because I am so attracted to the design

and the orange that I would like to wear it.

And why does it say 'sex' on the dial?

OK. now I have one small task for all viewers.

Iida: Stupider than handing out balloons?

Manual: Come on, man. Have you ever held a balloon?

Iida: My Dad never let me.

Iida: HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING!!!

All Might: No, no, you can go first.

Midoriya: Do you know where my old costume is?

All Might: Oh of course, only wants to talk when he needs something.

All Might: It was a bad joke, so I threw it away.

All Might: Do you not like the new new one they gave you?

All Might: *angry repressed screeching*

Midoriya: Something wrong?

All Might: N-nothing.

All Might: So why do you need the costume?

Midoriya: Midoriya.

Gran Torino: Ah, long time no see, Nana.

Gran Torino: I'm hungry. Make me fishy cakes.

Midoriya: Hold on a sec, do you mean Nana Shimura?

Gran Torino: Fishy cakes.

Midoriya: All right, all right.

Gran Torino: Woah, is this your costume? Let me see.

Midoriya: Do you want fishy cakes or not?

Gran Torino: Where's the cape?

Gran Torino: Why is your generation so against capes?

Midoriya: We've been told they're highly impractical.

Gran Torino: Yes, but they're also a sign of status.

Midoriya: HUH?!

Gran Torino: But if you think you're so cool without one,

then how about you fire that One for All at me and I'll show you what for.

Midoriya: The heck is wrong with you? Weren't you just asking for fishy cakes?

Gran Torino: I already told you! One of those hood rats snuck in and broke it again.

Gran Torino: Took my keys too. Doctor says I'm not clear to drive

but I told him I hit those people on purpose.

Midoriya: Microwave seems fine to me.

Gran Torino: It only heats food from one side, but leave it to an One for All user to

think it's okay to fire everything uneven.

Midoriya: Why do you keep saying that? What's One for All?!

Gran Torino: It's your Quirk, stupid.

Gran Torino: Don't you know your own Quirk? You ought to get somebody to teach you that.

Midoriya: That's WHY I'M HERE!

Gran Torino: So emotional.

Gran Torino: Those kids will be the death of you if you let them get you all worked up like that, Nana.

Midoriya: This was a mistake. I'm leaving.

Gran Torino: You're not going anywhere until you learn how to make those fish cakes right.

Gran Torino: Light and toasty all over just like Nana used to make.

Midoriya: You keep saying her name. Nana.

Midoriya: That's All Might's mentor. He said nobody remembered her.

Gran Torino: Nana? Who's Nana?

Gran Torino: I thought you were here to learn how to use One for All properly?

Midoriya: *repressed frustrated screeching*

Gran Torino: How are you supposed to learn anything if you can't stay focused?

Midoriya: I'M NOT FOCUSED?

Midoriya: YOU'RE THE ONE WHOSE ALL OVER THE PLACE! FIGURATIVELY AND LITERALLY!

Gran Torino: Wrong.

Gran Torino: You gotta be light and toasty all over.

Midoriya: Light and toasty all over? Like a-

Midoriya: Wait, am I the fishy cake?

Gran Torino: You're a boy, silly.

Gran Torino: Hey! When did you become a boy, Nana?

Gran Torino: Oh my goodness, have I been talking to Toshi this whole time?

Gran Torino: Sorry, my boy.

Midoriya: Now who is Toshi?

Gran Torino: All this training sure works up an appetite, ay Toshi?

Gran Torino: You know what I've got a hankering for?

Midoriya: Fishy cakes?

Gran Torino: Black coffee and a steak, smartass.

Gran Torino: But if, uh, you're willing to make some fishy cakes...

I'd nibble on a few.

Gran Torino: Uh-huh yay!

Midoriya: Are we gonna train some ore after dinner?

Gran Torino: Trains? I love trains. We can ride one later if you-

Gran Torino: NEVER LEARN, DO YOU.

Midoriya: Hey, wait! Where are you going?

Gran Torino: To ride my favorite train and you're not invited.

Gran Torino: Excuse me, young man, but could you tell me where the train is?

Midoriya: Could anybody possibly have it worse right now?

Lockjaw: Rusty?

Rusty: Lockjaw? Your family got overrun by cartels too?

Rusty: All right! Lockjaw: All right!

Lockjaw: We're gonna get in gang fights!

Rusty: We're gonna stay up past 7:30!

Lockjaw: We're, gonna break the law!

Rusty: We're gonna uh... not say please or thank you!

Rusty: ...more than once.

Fourth Kind: Do you two chuckle-heads think that's all it takes to be a Villain?

Rusty: Yes, Your Evilness. Lockjaw: Yes, Your Evilness.

Fourth Kind: Hmph. Let me teach you what being a villain is really all about.

Rusty: Being a villain is even funner than I thought!

Fourth Kind: Heroes.

Fourth Kind: Villains.

Fourth Kind: At the end of the day, we're all the same.

Fourth Kind: We take pride in ourselves, our actions, and most importantly, our homes.

Mikey: Nuh uh! Villains wreck things.

Fourth Kind: You can't rule over ruins, dunderhead.

Fourth Kind: Ain't nobody wants to be king of a garbage dump.

Fourth Kind: What you're talking about is terrorism and the only person who wants a terrorist around

is a politician. Which is a whole 'nother breed of evil on it's own.

President Scott: Okay, that one liner escalated quickly.

Press: Mr. President? President Scott? Mr. President!

Press: As the first US president with a Quirk, what stance are you taking on the Hero Killer situation?

President Scott: Hero what?

Press: You haven't seen the news?

President Scott: What do I look like to you? A rube?

President Scott: I don't watch the news. I react to the news. Like this.

President Scott: Holy s- [censored], someone is killing all the Heroes?

President Scott: We gotta, uhh- we gotta, like, get more heroes to solve this problem.

Press: Have you considered yet why there's a Hero Killer?

Press: Perhaps this person sees a systemic issue within the Hero society and is acting upon it?

President Scott: Okay, okay. I see what you're doing here, but now's not the time to be politicizing Quirks and super heroes-

Press: You are literally the leader of all politicians. It's your job to politicize and find a solution.

President Scott: Fine. While I pull a plan out of my ass you can forward the rest of your well thought out questions to my Press Secretary.

Presss: President! Mr. President! President Scott!

Sugar Rush: Leave the President alone. He's very stressed. You're all stupid.

Sugar Rush: ALL OF YOU!!! *screeching*

Press: We have Twitter accounts and we demand to be heard!

Gunhead: I hear you, girl.

Gunhead: Relationships are a lot like hand-to-hand combat.

Gunhead: Sometimes you gotta be patient and wait for your opening

and other times you make a rebound after that hit.

Gunhead: Perhaps you can rebound with that cutie chemo boy you can't stop talking about.

Ochako: Midoriya? No, I only hung out with him to make Bakugou jealous, and also, I hate his literally rotten guts.

Gunhead: Girl, it is 2018. You can like as many boys as you want.

Gunhead: I once dated Five Guys. The restaurant, not actually the five me-

Gunhead: One can only be so blessed.

Gran Torino: God damn, I love trains.

Gran Torino: What's the matter, guppy gills? Your boyfriend ain't texting you back?

Midoriya: I haven't seen my friend Iida since I was revived.

Midoriya: He usually responds to my texts before I send them.

Gran Torino: Since when do you have friends, Toshi? Or are you talking, about that squirrelly fella you pick on?

Gran Torino: Errr... Eraserhead is what you call him? You're breaking Nana's heart the way you little savages treat each other.

*explosion in the distance*

Bystander: That building just exploded!

Gran Torino: What'd he say?

Midoriya: He's right. There's smoke. Isn't it too early to get lit?

Conductor: Passengers, uhhhh..

Conductor: Please remain seated, while a uhhhh...

Conductor: Fight bursts out through the uhhhh...

Conductor: Twelfth row uhhhh...

Conductor: Right about uhhhh...

Conductor: ...now.

*explosion, train brakes screeching to an emergency stop*

*fight crashes through the twelfth row*

*screaming, train breaks screeching*

Noumu: *screeches*

Gran Torino: Stay put, kid.

Midoriya: According to my friendship bracelet that doubles as a tracking device, that's where Iida is!

Iida: Think y'all are faster than me?! I'll-

*man screams*

Iida: Harmonize?! Ahhhhhh!!!

Stain: Oh. You. Yes.

Stain: Me. And you are?

Iida: My name is Tenya Iida.

Iida: You killed my brother.

Iida: Prepare to die, my dude.

Stain: Tch. On who's authority?

Iida: On mine.

Iida: As the Hero who inherited his name.

Iida: INGENIUM!

Stain: A Hero, you say?

Stain: Hate to break this to ya, but on my watch,

Heroes die!

Shooting digital in Michigan City, Indiana | Landscape photography - Duration: 11:18.

Oh, hello guys, long time no see!

I'm talking to you from Spain, as you can probably tell from the size of the coffees here

Just wanted to say that things have been a little bit crazy lately with all this move, but new videos are coming real soon

But I also have a few from the States that I haven't posted just yet

Like today's video. What's different about today's video is the camera gear that I use

as you know, I've been shooting film for quite a while

But I also have and use digital cameras

you might or might not know that here camera gear is much more expensive than in the States, for some reason

That's why I decided to go ahead and I upgraded my digital kit before leaving the US

Because it would be much harder to do so here for me

today's video was just an excuse to go out and try these two new lenses that I bought for the a6500

I'll talk about them later in a separate video maybe but just to let you know I bought the

16-70 f/4 that would be like a 24-105 in full-frame equivalent.

And this one that I've wanted to have for a long, long time

a good telephoto lens. This is 70-200 f/4 - so this is like 105-300 mil in 35 millimeter equivalent

So yeah, this is my new digital kit

These two lenses should cover pretty much everything

I do from 24 to 300 millimetres and I found this amazing deal in the US. I bought them used

I paid a fraction of

What I would have to pay here for them. It's crazy.

For example, the 6500. I bought it a year ago, I believe for $1,300 US dollars

brand new, $1300. and I saw it the other day here in Spain. It was a physical store

I'm sure you can find better prices online I guess but it was

1700 euros that is like almost like $2,000 dollars. It's incredible that it goes for almost twice the price and it's one year later

These lenses would have been

Really expensive here. I wouldn't be able to afford them here. So before moving here, that's why I pulled the trigger

So yeah, no more talk for now. I'm gonna play the video now

I hope you enjoy it. I'll see you in the next one

Good morning guys. It's a cold morning here in Michigan City

But it's a beautiful sunrise or it was because it's pretty much over

I'm here. Just trying to make a long exposure of this lighthouse. I came here

This is one of the images that I wanted to make today

I went to the other side of the beach earlier because there is that little

House or post or whatever the name is it's that little red house

I took a photo of that with my phone a few months ago during the winter

I don't know if you guys remember but I'll put the link to that video around here. That was a beautiful foggy day

It was a cool photo, but I thought that it would be better at sunrise time. So I came here a little bit late

I got here a little bit later than I would love to but I think I still got a good shot

But I'm not sure about the sand because they've been working on it on the beach

And yeah

I'm trying to take this long exposure of the lighthouse now and then I'm gonna keep moving along the coast or the shore of

Lake Michigan, I

Have just one more shot in mind that is downtown Chicago. You can see it today. It's a clear enough day to see it

So I want to take a photo of that with my telephoto lens

Just in case someone was looking for an idea for an image I've had this one in my head for like three months at least

But I never got the right conditions to make this image, but the idea is it would be from here

it has to be a clear night or

Clear morning and the moon has to be setting, and it has to be more or less full

You guys might remember the long exposure that I took of the full moon, back in Washington at Mt St Helens

I'll link the video around here and I'll show you the image now

Okay, so I wanted to do something very similar here

but of course instead of Mt St Helens we have downtown downtown Chicago, and the way I see it, it would be the moon like

Falling almost falling into the city and since we have a lake, we will have the reflection of the moon too

So the reflection would be coming from under downtown. So it would be like a sandwich almost

I think it would be very cool

It would be very dramatic, but there is one problem. Of course Chicago is not Mt St Helens

Mt St Helens is dark and Chicago is gonna be very bright at night

So that's why I'm saying that it has to be full or almost full moon so you can still see it

So yeah, if anyone around here wants to try this image, I would come here like a 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning

Well, you have to check the times of the Moon of course, but 4 or 5, like 2 or 3 hour long exposure

Just before sunrise

And yeah

This is Porter Beach and there are at least three or four spots where you can see downtown Chicago

It has to be once again a clear night. Oh, yeah one problem. The beach is open itself

I believe I think so. I didn't see any signs saying the opposite but the parking lot is closed. They closed it at dusk

So you might have to find another place to park your car... other than that

I think it's a pity because I'm not gonna be able to make that image. But yeah pretty cool place.

ok guys, so I think this is gonna be it

I'm glad I came

I almost didn't - because I was feeling very lazy

About driving two hours in the morning to here to a place where I've already been many times

But as I always say it's always worth it. I had to wake up at 4:30 and drive two hours here, but I still

Enjoyed every single minute of being here in kind of nature with fresh air no cars around. It's always so nice

I got three images, I might like one of them maybe the one of the lighthouse but I have to work on them

We'll see about that. But as I said, it's always worth it

even if you don't make any images the time that you spend here is just for me is priceless

It was also my first chance to try my new digital setup on my new tripod

Of course, I used them before but it was at home or to take snapshots around the house

So yeah, this was my first serious shoot and everything went pretty smoothly I believe

it was also my first time using the ND filters for color photos

So I'm not sure if the colors are gonna be accurate or they're gonna have a color cast or something

But yeah, that's something that I will have to look at on the computer. But yeah, that's it for today

Thank you so much for watching and see you in the next one

I don't know where from maybe here in Indiana once again if I feel like doing it or maybe just from Portugal or Spain

Anyway, thanks so much for being there again. So see you in the next one

You
