comparative

Adjectives, okay

So sometimes we will use these words that we call

Adjectives that you know, our qualities actually used to describe

people

animals

ideas

Objects places you can use for a description. You say something is beautiful, you know, something is, you know expensive

Someone is you know

capable and you know

Something is dangerous. And then you are describing these places people or ideas

Okay, you use adjectives for that and I will show you our first example take a look here

Example number one. Let's talk about a city like, New York

Okay, you say New York is big city here the word big is

Describing city and that's what we call

Adjectives are never used in the plural form at least the way we know with an ass after them, you know

Today I'll tell you have to get a blurry background.

The 3 ways.

But first I'm grab some stuff..

Got some stuff here, because I'm going to show you guys how ...that's easier than telling you.

Three things ...let's start with the first one..

..and that's: Distance

I'll illustrate it for you..

..you got the camera..

..you have your subject..

..and the background.

It's important that the distance between the camera and subject is kept short..

..and the distance between the subject and background long.

..with this you get a blurry background.

And the second one is: The lens

..and what you do is..

..so..

..as you can see you have to ...normally the aperture blades are like this..

..but what you really want is this..

..you already see the difference ...f1.8. Nice wide opening. That's what you want.

That will give you a nice blurry background ..a shallow depth of field.

And the last one, I got a lens here ...a zoomlens.

Actually the idea is like this..

You got your lens ..let's illustrate that quickly for you guys..

..so ..well you familiair with the looks of it..

..and now comes the important part..

..yep, nice and long ...the arrow upwards..

..you get where I'm going with this...

MAX..

..ZOOM! You have to zoom at the max.

Zooming at the max give you a 2D effect between the subject and background..

What is does is ..the background that's way in the back.. (that is, if you have some detph over there)..

..will be pulled to the front, as if the background is directly behind the subject.

But in fact that's not really the case.

That's why, max zoom!

So ..now we..

..got this check box...with Bokeh ..aka blurry background..

..CHECKED!

This will give you nice blurry backgrounds.

To even want more ...going all the way? To spice it up!?

Then you'll do this ...whopaah..

..and this.

..when you do this ...combine them..

..you'll get awesome nice photos, blurry backgrounds ...whoooss

Sexytime.

Keep in mind that the shallow depth of field will be very short..

..Yes we want a blurry background but of course the subject must be in focus.

So do check that. It's possible only the nose or eyelashes are in focus..

that's not what you want ..I guess.

Keep that in mind.

So this is all you need and when you've done this you will be ...

..very happy!

So guys, not making it more difficult, this is it.

..the way to get blurry backgrounds..

I decided to explain it this way ...I could have said buy a fast lens..

..use wide aperture ...but guys, not everyone have such a lens

..and there are more ways to it.

It'd be interesting to know what percentage of Rolls-Royce customers actually use the configurator to get a sense of their desired spec before buying, and how many simply head straight to the showroom for the sort of luxurious, bespoke and deferential experience to which they are likely accustomed

We'd wager the latter group greatly outweighs the former, which probably explains why Rolls doesn't seem to have put too much thought into the site; it's merely a gimmick for the unwashed masses to play around with, so that's exactly what we've done

The latest addition to said configurator is the Cullinan. Powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12, its 570hp and 627lb ft of torque must shift the 5

3m long, 2,660kg behemoth with suitable levels of comfort and opulence. Exactly what form that comfort and opulence takes is up each prospective owner, though, with a typically vast selection of customisation options being made available

From lambswool floor mats to a gold-plated Spirit of Ecstasy and foldaway seats which extend from the boot to paint-matched umbrellas stored in the doors, there's something for every sheikh, oligarch and lottery winner alike

There are, of course, no prices on the configurator - if you need to ask, and all that - but the £250,000 starting price of the Cullinan should be the context on which your guesstimates are based

The external options, unsurprisingly, don't really have much of an effect on the overall appearance of the car, so dominant is the scale of its design

Even the more extreme paint colours are relatively reserved, though the satin-silver finish bonnet does seem to help somewhat, drawing the eye away from the radiator grille, which appears garishly prominent on a car of this size

Inside is where Rolls really lets you off the leash though, with a plethora of unfathomably vulgar colours which would make you question the taste of even the most well-heeled of owners

We created this purple, teal and turquoise monstrosity in the few minutes we had at our disposal, but surely a PHer can do better (or worse, rather)

Balinese food has its influences from Indonesian cuisine, and also the Chinese

and Indian cultures. Since many inhabitants of Bali are Hindus, the

culinary traditions are somewhat different from the rest of Indonesia.

Join me as I venture into a sketch and food trail in the southern part of the island.

I'm so excited! it's been a while but we're here at Malioboro, it's a place

that sells Ayam Presto. So the chicken in here are pressure cooked and the bones get

so soft that you can actually eat the bones. Don't believe me?

Snakeskin fruit and passion fruit

also known as the Markisa – are very popular traditional local fruits here.

Passion fruit is my all-time favourite fruit. It is from a region in Indonesia

called Medan.

The food at Sardines is gorgeous looking, but I only had time for the honey lime and

ginger iced tea. The actual reason why I'm here is because I want to sketch a

paddy field. So definitely come back for more.

Hello! I forgot I have some time, so I'm gonna sketch a Teh Botol. 1 Teh Botol.

It's a must have when you come to Bali.

Okay, we're on our way to a great place to eat. It's called Bumbu Bali.

It is also a cooking school, heading over there for my

dad's 70th birthday celebrations!

Ingredients for the Nasi Goreng:

You can prepare white rice.

You can prepare carrots,

chye sim or bak choy.

Green colour from the vegetables.

And then, cabbages,

leek and onion.

You can prepare with chicken,

or if you like, with beef.

You can add what you like.

For the sauce, you can prepare

oyster sause,

soya sauce, fish sauce,

and Chinese sauce (sesame oil).

Last one, chopped garlic.

Special ingredient for here, I'm using Indonesian spices.

This one is red chilli.

Put some oil in here.

Just a little bit.

And let the oil become hot.

Put in the Bumbu.

Bumbu means spices.

But this one is not hot, not spicy.

This is made with big chilli.

Spicy chilli comes from small chillies.

This one is not hot.

You can cook it in an open chinese wok.

Very good... the fire is big fire.

It makes the Nasi Goreng more flavourful,

rather than if you cook it in other stoves like this one.

Why wok? Because at the Nasi Goreng needs the

big fire in a very hot pan, yah? It's good.

Matsuri ? This is really cool ! (French)

A few days ago I participated at Saji Jinja Matsuri

It was my first participation at Matsuri And i did lots of things.

Saji Jinja Matsuri is a small local matsuri of Koka district which...

Koka district ??? Before, you had said that Koka was a city, right ?

Indeed, maybe i must to explain it...

Before 2004, current Koka city didn't exist.

But there were 5 district.

Minakuchi : Famous for its matsuri.

Kônan : the place where i'm working

Shigaraki : with the cute Tanukis

Tsuchiyama : Famous for its tea.

And finally : Kôka.

In 2004, these districts merged to become the city of Koka.

To differentiate them, Koka City calls himself Kôka-shi

And Koka district calls Kôka-cho

In shoooooort

Saji Jinja Matsuri takes place every April 15th...

Or the third weekend of April, I admit i don't know

...And takes place at Kôka-cho

There is a festive attribut

Matsuri begins with a demonstration of traditional music Played by Koka city's children

I played with them with a "KANE"

A japanese traditional instrument

When children finished, a Taiko band played

Then, i participated in a japanese traditional ceremony...

Former religious ceremony, today Mochi Maki is a mass event

Where everyone meets up to drink et play around.

The mochi maki pitchers (i was one of them) lie on a podium

We must to throw cakes into the crownd. Every one partcipate in it : children and adults / mens and women.

Mainly, this is an event to share and to congregate together.

The ceremony name (Mochi Maki) comes from those cakes : Mochi

Cakes with kneaded sticky rice

Okey, it's good.

But it's really strange..

It's really sticky

Also it's sweet and fresh

It's really tasty !

Moreover, there is a famous mochi producer, Mochi Kobo

You will see it in a next video

Near from Saji Jinja

Then, there is the mainly event of the Saji Jinja Matsuri

The Mikoshi procession (Mikoshi Togyo)

Mikoshi is a miniature temple

Kami, the god of the temple, must to come alive in the Mikoshi

So, the priests put the Kami's relic inside the Mikoshi

The main priest recites sacred incantations

And calls Kami to personify himself in the Mikoshi.

This prayer is like a recital and singing. It's really nice to hear it.

Then, we take Mikoshi in the district

And Kami brings his belessing to everyone

The Mikoshi holders are only men and everyone wear an "HAPPI"

A traditional garment, weared during Matsuri.

I am wearing it for this video.

Also, there was a little Mikoshi for the chlidren.

And in that case, little girls can hold it. I think this is really nice.

So, we see the main caracteristic of the Matsuri : It's an intergenerational event.

When everything is ready, mens hold the Mikoshi.

They're wearing with this cry

Like a shouted encouragement

Such the english "HEAVE-OH"

They walk around the temple with it many times Then, they walk with it in the district

The time of the wearing is different according to the Matsuri

For the Saji Jinja Matsuri, the wearing lasted about 2 hours

During 2 hours, it was very difficult. The Mikoshi was heavy very much

Several tens of kg, near from 100kg

But we had chance : there were many spots and stops in the procession way.

We stop near from shops, restaurants

And the mercants gave many foods et drinks

Everyone jokes, laughts. This is a special moment where Japaneses can escape of the codified society of Japan

For exemple, in photos, you can see several of wet "happi"

Because we crossed water ? This is sweat ? Nope !

Because Japanese threw some beers on everyone.

In several sites, we threw up the Mikoshi

Sometimes, the Mikoshi could be worn down Even some of Mikoshi's pieces falled down.

With my western point of view, i said : "We damage the Mikoshi ? The Mikoshi incarnation ?"

"This is a sacrilege, right ?"

Thus, isn't. They joked. Even the priests.

It's why the festive fraternel and friendly characteristic is one the most important things in the Matsuri.

In any rate, i felt that.

To conclude, holders come back to the temple, and put the Mikoshi in the front of it.

Once again, priests recite sacred incantations

Remove the Mikoshi relic Holders are thanked by priests and people for their efforts

So, the Mikoshi wearing is off

And everyone meets up to ... ? TO ???

To drink and to eat. Yep, once again.

Okey, I joke with it, But the religious characteristic isn't missing.

Priests were more serious, and Japanese are going to the temple to pray.

But as you could see, the festive and popular characteristic is really important.

And i wanted to spotlight it in this video.

Let see some examples, how can we use in a sentence
