Jeff Hardy Injury Source Revealed?

During a dark match against The Miz on May 15th's Smackdown Live, fans became concerned

when Jeff Hardy started limping around the ring.

The cause of this injury has been unclear until now, as Jeff's wife Beth has uploaded

a video to Twitter from OUTTA NOWHERE: Impact Wrestling Vs The UK

Thankfully for Don Callis, Ruby Hardy is yet to sign for any UK promotions, as Impact Wrestling

have just issued an open challenge to any UK wrestling company for an inter-promotional

series of matches at Wrestling MediaCon 2018.

The President of IMPACT Wrestling Ed Nordholm said:

"We are excited to return to the UK to demonstrate that IMPACT Wrestling has the best talent

anywhere in the world, so we're issuing an open challenge to any UK promotion to bring

their best wrestlers to face the very best from IMPACT Wrestling on September 9th in

Manchester."

And Impact aren't the only big names announced for Wrestling MediaCon, as WrestleTalk are

also going to be at the event.

It's all going down on the 8th and 9th of September at the Bowlers Exhibition centre

in Manchester, England, and you can buy tickets to see us, loads of other big names like Dave

Meltzer, Cultaholic and more, and for the IMPACT vs UK series by clicking the link in

the video description below.

But will a former WWE Champion be appearing as part of one of the rosters that weekend?

Enzo Amore Teases Wrestling Return?

Enzo Amore has teased a potential return to in-ring action, after posting an old NXT promo

on his Instagram story about Manifest Destiny and becoming great.

Enzo hasn't been involved in any form of wrestling since his release from WWE after

he was publicly accused of sexual assault.

That case has been dropped, though, as there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

A recent statement from Enzo's legal team said he's "working diligently toward his

next venture in the entertainment industry and looks forward to reconnecting with his

fans in a big way in the very near future."

And the first of those big reconnections is happening this weekend.

Enzo Amore First Post-WWE Appearance Announced Enzo has announced his first public appearance

since leaving WWE in January 2018 on Instagram - a Memorial Day showing in Times Square in

New York City at 9.15pm where he will apparently be ending his social media silence with one

big "How You Doin."

"I want to engage, interact, and personally thank all of you who ever supported me!

It was you who wished me luck on my future endeavors, but I won't need luck … just

you."

Support Cancer Research UK!

Speaking of support, one of our WrestleTalk.com writers Jay Loader is going to fight in an

MMA match on the 2nd June to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

He's been training for 8 weeks, which I'm totally sure is nowhere near enough, all in

the name of getting punched in the face for charity.

If you feel so inclined, you can donate to the cause by clicking the link in the video

description below.

The next big WWE tournament has been revealed!

BREAKING News Out Of South FLORIDA… MAJOR BUST!!! HE JUST GOT LIFE IN PRISON! - Duration: 14:17.

BREAKING News Out Of South FLORIDA…

MAJOR BUST!!!

HE JUST GOT LIFE IN PRISON!

Honduran national Sergio Neftali Mejia-Duarte was sentenced today to life in prison for

his involvement in a large-scale international narcotics transportation organization.

U.S. Attorney Benjamin G. Greenberg for the Southern District of Florida; Acting Assistant

Attorney General John P. Cronan of the Justice Department's Criminal Division; and Special

Agent in Charge Adolphus P. Wright of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA),

Miami Field Division, made the announcement.

On January 9, 2018, a Miami jury found Mejia-Duarte, 41, guilty of conspiring to distribute over

five kilograms of cocaine with the knowledge that the cocaine would be unlawfully imported

into the United States.

The evidence at trial, which included the testimony of multiple co-conspirators and

pictures from a seizure of over 2,000 kilograms of cocaine, showed that defendant Mejia-Duarte

led a large-scale international narcotics transportation organization based in Honduras

and Guatemala that was part of a distribution chain spanning from Colombia to Mexico and

the United States.

In that role, Mejia-Duarte and his workers secretly received multi-hundred kilogram quantities

of cocaine from Colombia and Panama, temporarily stored the narcotics in Honduras or Guatemala,

and then transported the narcotics onward, typically northward, including into Mexico.

Mejia-Duarte used go-fast boats, helicopters, and airplanes to operate his shipping route

and, as witnesses detailed at trial, much of the cocaine was supplied to the Sinaloa

Cartel led by Joaquin Guzman Loera, also known as "Chapo," and Ismael Zambada, also known

as "Mayo."

Based on the witnesses' trial testimony and documents submitted in the case, Mejia-Duarte

is responsible for trafficking at least an estimated 20,000 kilograms of cocaine.

In operating his criminal network, the witnesses described how Mejia-Duarte carried guns, employed

bodyguards and assassins, and engaged in a bloody war with a rival trafficker.

During Mejia-Duarte's arrest, Honduran law enforcement officers found a Glock pistol

and an automatic rifle in the closet of the bedroom where he was residing.

"The life sentence imposed upon Mejia-Duarte ends the reign of a ruthless drug trafficker,"

said U.S. Attorney Greenberg.

"Backed by the united front of our international allies, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the

Southern District of Florida will continue to strip the drug traffickers of their power

and dismantle the trafficking organizations that cross our borders and infect our communities

with illicit narcotics."

"Until his arrest, Sergio Neftali Mejia-Duarte was a violent and prolific drug trafficker

whose criminal organization supplied cocaine to the Sinaloa Cartel, knowing full well that

the poison would make its way to our streets," said Acting Assistant Attorney General Cronan.

"Today's sentence reflects the unwavering commitment of the Department of Justice to

prosecute those who fuel our drug crisis by sending illegal narcotics across our borders.

I especially thank our law enforcement partners in Honduras and Colombia for their assistance

in bringing Mejia-Duarte to justice."

"The DEA Miami Field Division is very pleased with the deserving sentence given to Mejia-Duarte

today," said DEA Special Agent in Charge Wright.

"This adjudication is evidence of the strong partnership with our international law enforcement

partners who also sacrifice much to strike down and bring to justice all those who willingly

engage in dangerous and criminal acts against the United States which threatens the welfare

of its citizens."

The prosecution was part of Operation Hollow Point, which is a result of the ongoing efforts

by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF), a partnership between federal,

state, and local law enforcement agencies.

The OCDETF mission is to identify, investigate, and prosecute high-level members of drug trafficking

enterprises, bringing together the combined expertise and unique abilities of federal,

state, and local law enforcement.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Walter M. Norkin and Joseph Schuster of the Southern District

of Florida and Assistant Deputy Chief Michael Lang of the Criminal Division's Narcotic

and Dangerous Drug Section (NDDS) prosecuted this case.

The governments of Honduras and Colombia, the Criminal Division's Office of International

Affairs and DEA Division Offices in Honduras and Colombia assisted in obtaining the conviction

against Mejia-Duarte.

The Untold Truth Of Don Jr.'s New Girlfriend - Duration: 5:34.

In March, 2018, after 12 years of marriage, Donald Trump Jr. and his wife, Vanessa, released

a statement to People magazine, stating their marriage was over.

Less than two months later, Page Six reported that Trump Jr. was dating Kimberly Guilfoyle,

co-host of the Fox News show The Five.

Despite her celebrity status, though, there's a lot about Guilfoyle you probably don't know.

Here's a look at the untold truth of Don Jr.'s new girlfriend.

Role models

Guilfoyle has been vocal about the role her parents have played in shaping her life.

She was raised in the Mission District of San Francisco by her Irish father, Tony, and

her Puerto Rican mother, Mercedes.

But as Guilfoyle revealed in her book Making the Case, when she was just 11 years old,

her mom died of leukemia.

Guilfoyle told Fox News,

"Throughout her illness, I remember 'making a case' with God: 'Please help her live.'

I believe now that God did answer my prayers, because she still lives on with me, and she

shaped me into who I am today."

After her mother's passing, her father took on the tough role of raising Guilfoyle alone

as a single parent.

She told Mediaite,

"He was the best coach in my life.

I was a little shy and introverted, and he wanted me to be the woman who would stand

on her own two feet and have the self-esteem and stand for myself, no matter what."

Growing pains

As a child, Guilfoyle discovered a deep love of sports.

Since her school didn't have a girl's soccer team, her mother pushed for her to play on

the boy's squad.

Guilfoyle told People,

"My mom met with the coach and said, 'Please let Kimberly try out with the boys, but don't

take her because I am asking you: only if she's good enough."

Kimberly ended up making the team and playing on the boys' soccer squad.

After her mother's passing, though, the boy she spent the most time with was her younger

brother Anthony, who was just 8 at the time.

She told Bella NYC she helped raise her younger brother during those tough years.

"Even though no child should have to go through the pain of losing a parent at such a young

age, it made the bond with my brother, Anthony, all that much stronger and I am forever grateful

to have him in my life."

Barely legal

As a child, Guilfoyle dreamed of becoming a lawyer, something her father encouraged

with his tough love attitude.

She told Mediaite,

"If I wanted to do something or go on a class trip, he'd make me make my case.

I'd have to present my arguments, and he'd tell me if I had permission or not.

It teaches you not to be afraid of a no."

After graduating magna cum laude from the University of California, Davis, she went

on to earn a law degree from the University of San Francisco.

But it wasn't always easy, as she had to work to pay the bills, including a stint as a lingerie

model.

She told Cosmopolitan she's proud of her time as a model.

"I modeled everything from clothes, swimwear and lingerie, including Victoria's Secret!

I met an incredible number of interesting people through modeling and really learned

a lot about self-confidence and self-worth."

Political connections

Guilfoyle has never been shy about mixing romance and politics.

In December, 2001, while working as assistant district attorney in San Francisco, she married

Gavin Newsom, who was elected Mayor of San Francisco in 2003.

Just a year later, though, she moved to New York to pursue her television career, and

by 2006, the two were divorced.

Less than three months later, Guilfoyle married furniture heir and former model Eric Villency,

welcoming her only child in October, 2006.

The two divorced in 2009, but Guilfoyle told Mediaite they are still friends.

"Even though we're divorced, I'm still very close with his family.

Even when people don't stay married, they can still be a family together."

Guilfoyle made news again in July 2017 when she was romantically linked to former White

House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci while he was in the process of divorcing his

pregnant wife.

Guilfoyle denied that the two were a couple, however, and Scaramucci eventually reconciled

with his wife.

Here's hoping love lasts for Guilfoyle this time around!

Eyeing the White House

Though Guilfoyle has made inroads at the White House thanks to her close relationships with

Scaramucci and Trump Jr., the big prize has so far still eluded her.

In 2017, Guilfoyle announced that she was hoping to become the White House press Secretary.

She told The Mercury News,

"I'm a patriot, and it would be an honor to serve the country.

I think it'd be a fascinating job.

It's a challenging job, and you need someone really determined and focused, a great communicator

in there with deep knowledge to be able to handle that position."

Alas, she didn't get the job, and instead signed a long-term deal with Fox to remain

co-host of its round table opinion show The Five.

Courting controversy

Political positions and powerful men aren't the only thing Guilfoyle courts, as she's

also courted controversy on The Five.

In October, 2014, Guilfoyle suggested that young women shouldn't vote or serve on juries

because they're all too shallow to have valid opinions.

"Young women on juries are not a good idea.

They don't get it.

They're not in that same life experience."

Instead, she suggested they should be excused

"...so they can go back on Tinder and Match.com"

Guilfoyle later blamed "the liberal media" for the controversy, stating,

"I take the right to vote very seriously.

I take the right to serve on a jury very seriously.

And I think you should be informed when you do both things."

She says she loves giving back

In addition to her work on Fox and with the Trump administration, Guilfoyle stays involved

with charitable organizations, serving on the board of the Esophageal Cancer Education

Foundation and as the ambassador for the Special Olympics NYC Junior Committee.

She told Bella NYC,

"I always love to give back and impact the lives of others in a positive way.

[…] There's no better feeling than knowing you are helping out others, especially those

who are in need."

Thoughts On Kendrick's Pulitzer - Q&A #6 - Duration: 8:16.

hey, welcome to 12tone! it's Q&A time again, and joining me to ask the questions is my

friend Betty from the art education channel Articulations.

take it away, Betty!

alex ulysses nickel asked "Thoughts on Kendrick winning the Pulitzer?"

ok, so as a disclaimer, I haven't listened to Damn, the award-winning album, in its entirety,

so I can't comment on it as a complete work of art, nor do I know for sure whether or

not it deserved a Pulitzer.

that said, what I do know from watching this all unfold on twitter is that a lot of people

who are very confident it didn't also haven't listened to it, or if they have, aren't familiar

enough with the genre conventions and musical vocabulary of hip-hop to judge it on its own

merits.

that's not to say you can't enjoy hip-hop and still think Damn didn't deserve the award,

but most of the objections I've seen aren't really about the specific work, they're about

the idea of rap music being recognized as legitimate by a prestigious institution like

the Pulitzer prize.

but hip-hop's almost 50 years old now.

it's a part of music whether you like it or not, and Kendrick Lamar and other artists

of the genre are doing important work that deserves to be recognized.

if you want more thoughts on this, Adam Neely did a whole video about it, and I'd cosign

basically everything he said.

except for his opinions on specific jazz artists, for which you can safely assume I have no

stance.

next!

Max Headroom asked "How do you feel about your videos about certain songs becoming your

most popular content?

Are you ever tempted to just make those?"

honestly, I'm torn.

I love making the analysis videos, and I'm really glad they do well, but I have often

wondered if the channel might grow faster if I stopped doing everything else and just

published one analysis per month.

the algorithm would certainly like me more, but I don't think I'd be able to do it: I

really enjoy the more obscure, weird stuff that I talk about in between, and making 12tone

would be a lot less fun if I didn't get to explore those ideas too.

I like the way the analysis videos work as like flagship content to pull people in so

I can trick them into learning about things like All-Interval 12-tone rows, and I think

doing both is a big part of what makes this channel work.

next!

John M. Scott asked "Can you explain why western musicians choose Ionian as the home scale

as opposed to Lydian?"

so for those of you who don't know, Ionian is another name for the major scale (bang)

and Lydian is a major scale with a raised fourth degree.

(bang) if you want to know more about them you can check out our video on modes, but

to answer the question, I think it all comes down to tension.

traditional western harmony is all about tension and release, and Lydian has a very resolved

sound.

we can see this by looking at the most dissonant interval, the tritone: in Ionian, it's between

the 7th degree and the 4th, which surround the root and 3rd, giving us a really strong

pull back to the I chord. in Lydian, though, the tritone is between the root and the #4,

which means we can't really resolve it: it's hard to point to the root if you're already

playing it.

this means we can't really create the engine we're looking for, so even though Lydian is

brighter, Ionian is a better candidate for the major scale.

next!

Keenan Elijah Dolan asked "Do you think atonal music will ever be widely accepted in popular

music?"

depends what you mean by atonal. we tend to associate that term with movements like serialism

that are intentionally, aggressively dissonant, and while I don't like to say never 'cause

the future is a long time, I'd be pretty surprised to see that becoming a regular feature of

popular music within my lifetime.

however, some theorists argue that this sort of music should actually be called "anti-tonal",

and that the term "atonal" better describes styles like the impressionists and certain

late romantics, where the music just lacks a strong tonal center, either because the

key keeps changing or because it just doesn't really have one.

this is also sometimes called "post-tonal" music, and I see no reason why it can't exist

in pop.

next!

Flynn asked "Do you think your autism changes the way you experience music?"

probably, although I'm not sure how 'cause I've never had the chance to try listening

to music without being autistic.

one thing I do know is that I have a really strong aversion to background music.

not, like, film scores: that's meant to be there and it's designed to complement the

art that it's a part of.

but at restaurants, parties, and other public spaces, playing music is utterly irrelevant

to the surrounding experience, and I pretty much always wish they'd just stop.

next!

The Moon Raven asked "What, in your opinion, is the best key?"

my favorite key to play in is D minor.

I just really like the way it lays out on a piano.

but if I say D minor everyone will assume it's a Spinal Tap reference, so instead I'll

go with my second-favorite key, Bb. next!

KnowingBetter asked "What top 40 pop song are you ashamed to admit you enjoy?"

none.

not because I don't like any pop songs: I enjoy quite a few. recently, for instance,

I've been pretty into Ariana Grande's Side To Side. but I don't feel bad about that 'cause

I'm largely just over the idea of guilty pleasures.

I like what I like, and I don't see the point in apologizing for enjoying something harmless.

plus, if you look at the production and arrangement of pop songs, they're often really intricate

and complex: it takes a lot of skill to be simple without being boring.

next!

Adrian asked "What celebrity or person of note, alive or dead, would you most like to

have a drink with?"

probably my grandfather.

he died 6 years ago and had Alzheimers for a long time before that, but I think he'd

be proud of what I'm doing and I'd love the chance to show him. and before you say he

doesn't count, he co-wrote the very first paper on the experimental proof of carbon

dating, his doctoral thesis is classified because he worked on the Manhattan Project,

and he helped lead the development of the national lunar sample research program so

I think it's fair to call him a person of note.

besides, it's my Q&A, so I get to make the rules.

next!

ellie asked "What if chords were represented geometrically, with each side being the frequency

of a note?"

that's actually a thing! it's called a tonnetz, and it's from a school of theory called Neo-Riemannian

analysis.

to build one, we start with a line of notes going up a perfect fifth at a time, so like

G, D, A, E, B, etcetera.

then we add a diagonal where the notes are a major third apart.

finally, we add the other diagonal, which represent movement by minor third, and bam!

it's a bunch of triangles.

but not just any triangles: if we look at the corners, each triangle represents a triad.

the ones pointing up are major triads, like this A major, and the ones pointing down are

minor.

the reason this matters is that it gives us a way to describe how close two chords are

without having to worry about something like a key center.

for instance, we saw this A major here, and if we go just two triangles over, we can find

F major, which tells us that even though we don't tend to see these two in the same key,

in a sense they're just as close as A and E. this can be a really useful tool for exploring

that post-tonal stuff we were talking about before, where keys are vague or non-existent.

next!

zac asked "does a song necessarily have to be complex to be good through the eyes of

someone who has studied so much music theory?"

nope! as far as I'm concerned, artistic quality is completely independent of theoretical complexity.

well, not completely: theory is really useful for figuring out how to express artistic ideas,

but there's plenty of songs I enjoy that are pretty musically straightforward, because

they've managed to capture something that moves me. if anything, I think it's more dangerous

to be too complex, because you risk drowning out whatever it is you're trying to create.

next!

Jake Fine asked "What's your favorite YouTube channel you wish had more exposure?"

oh, so many. for starters, everyone I've ever done a collab or Q&A with, including Betty's

channel, Articulations.

but y'all are looking for music stuff, so if I narrow this down to just music channels

then my #1 recommendation would have to be QuarterTuned, which is by a film composer

making videos about film and TV scores.

they're relatively new, but they're already doing great stuff and if you like what I do

you should really check them out.

next!

Nintendork64 asked "Can vague concepts like "soul" and "feeling" be analyzed in music

theory?"

sort of, but not directly: they're incredibly subjective labels, so it's hard to build clear

structures around them.

what we can do, though, is look at the characteristics shared by songs that tend to get those labels

and then analyze that as a sort of proxy. for instance, the concept of "soul" is often

associated with powerful, gospel-style deliveries and driving R&B rhythms, and we can look for

those as markers of how much soul a song has, even if we can't directly quantify the idea.

anyway that seems like a good place to stop but before we go I wanted to thank Betty again

for helping us out! her channel, Articulations, combines examinations of the world of fine

art with the more down-to-earth practices of professional design, looking at the work

of artists like Yayoi Kusama and also diving into questions about building codes and accessible

design.

it's a really interesting mix.

also, if you're gonna be at VidCon this year, Betty and I are gonna be on a panel together

called EduTube Beyond The Sciences, talking about the arts and humanities with Danielle

Bainbridge from The Origin of Everything, A.E.

Prevost from The Ling Space, Sarah Urist Green from The Art Assignment, and also some random

dude who does vlogs sometimes.

I think his name is, like, John Green or something?

I don't know, I guess he writes books too.

I don't know, I guess he writes books too.

no big deal.

anyway thanks to everyone for the questions, and thanks to you for watching! if you want

Best Meat Thermometer For The Money 2018 - Duration: 3:01.

welcome to unmatched value today we're going to be talking about the best

digital thermometers for your money if you're new to our channel we do things a

little bit differently as opposed to different lists and reviews online we

focus on the price not just the specs we offer you three options value standard

and premium our value option is the lowest price we can find for a good

product our standard option is the best all-around product our premium option

offers more features but at a higher price so let's get started we'll be

focusing on four main points today accuracy is our first point we want to

make sure that when you want a medium-rare steak it's what you are

getting because no one likes a chewy or rubbery steak

the average accuracy is supposed to be within one or two degrees it's very

important to have an accurate thermometer because for some dishes it's

very important to cook it at the right temperature in some cases under cooking

your meat or fish can lead to food poisoning and we don't want you to go

through that that's why when we did our research we focus on the accuracy as one

of our main points our second point is durability you want to make sure that

the thermometer can go through fire and ice for you that it won't crack or break

or stop working or showing the temperature when you have guests over

for a barbecue also that the screen won't crack from using it in too hot or

too cold of an environment we want to make sure that you will get the most

durability for your money our third point is speed you want to make sure that your

thermometer won't take too long so you don't miss the perfect moment to take

out your food when we did a research we noticed that a lot of the thermometers

that have instantly speed lack the accuracy it's better if you use

thermometers that take three seconds but show you the correct temperature

that way you will know you're getting both the speed and the accuracy our

fourth point is temperature range we want to make sure that

the thermometer will be able to do all kinds of jobs for you starting with

making some steaks and finishing with making sure that your ice cream will

freeze over for dessert we want to make sure you will get as much use out of it

as you can if you haven't yet please go check the description down below for our

top choices we update our choices every three months you will see the last

updated date at the top of the description we want to thank you for

watching our video we hope that our video helped you I want to say a special

thank you to everybody who subscribed liked or commented and we'll see you in

Jedni bardziej, drudzy mniej.
