But in his surprise Showtime series Who Is America? the British comedian nudges prominent lawmakers into exposing their politically incorrect views on the state of the nation — and the effect is equally hilarious and horrifying
In Sunday's premiere Baron Cohen transforms into Col. Erran Morad a macho Israeli "terrorist terminator" promoting a program that arms children as young as 3 years old with guns
His schtick? The only way thing that can stop a "bad man with a gun" is a "good boy with a gun
" (Or as Larry Pratt from Gun Owners of America adds "even a good toddler.") "In America there's this big problem of shootings in schools
The NRA want to arm the teachers. This is crazy!" Baron Cohen says. "You should be arming the children
" Scarily enough several GOP politicians buy into it. Former congressman Joe Walsh Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott California congressman Dana Rohrabacher and South Carolina congressman Joe Wilson all agree to endorse Baron Cohen's character's program for "kinder-guardians" reading their approval of the plan from a teleprompter from a PSA
(Congressman Matt Gaetz didn't bite.) "In less than a month a first-grader can become a first grenade-er" Walsh tells the camera
And he even convinces gun rights activist Philip Van Cleave to film an infomercial in which firearms are hidden inside stuffed animals with cutesy names like "Puppy Pistol" and "Uzicorn" so they appeal to children
Pre-school children "haven't quite developed what we call conscience where you feel guilty about doing something wrong
That's developing you're learning right and wrong. If they haven't developed it yet they could be very effective soldiers" he tells Baron Cohen in an interview
Fred Guttenberg whose 14-year-old was killed during the Parkland school shooting praised the series on Twitter for highlighting "the insanity" required to think "arming kids in kindergarten" was a good idea

A man nicknamed Biggie that would become a hip-hop legend and East Coast icon.
Stay tuned for more with this mini-biography from music history on Christopher Wallace
was also known as the Notorious B.I.G.
Christopher Wallace was also known as the Notorious Big and Biggie Smalls was born on
May 21st in 1972 in Brooklyn, New York.
Growing up Christopher began selling drugs at an early age and received the nickname,
"Big," because he was a very large boy.
This led to Christopher receiving a 5-year probationary sentence in 1989 after being
arrested.
He would continue getting in trouble until being caught again and spending nine months
in jail.
Once Christopher got out he began rapping under the name Biggie Smalls which he got
from a character in a 1975 movie called, "Let's do it Again."
A demo would get noticed by a famous magazine The Source magazine and they feature Christopher
as an unsigned artist.
That is where his journey with Sean Puffy Combs began who worked with a large record
label Uptown records.
Combs would help biggie get his first record deal and later end up starting his own label
Bad Boy Records where Biggie joined him.
Although many people knew him as Biggie he had to change his name to the Notorious B.I.G.
after legal problems and that is where the legend was born.
Christopher would go on to be a major player in the world of hip-hop with the release of
his album, "Ready To Die."
This is where hip-hop fans around the world fell in love with Wallace with his featured
single, "Juicy," that told the story of growing up and going from Hard Times To Living lavish.
During his time at the top of the music game, Wallace would become involved in a feud.
This is where another iconic rapper Tupac Shakur felt that Biggie had set him up and
got him hurt in 1994 and this would soon start the East Coast-West Coast Beef between Biggie's
record label Bad Boy Records and Tupac's record label Death Row Records.
Sadly even though Christopher Wallace received much success during this time at the top he
was also involved in many legal matters from being charged on multiple counts of committing
crimes.
Then with the East Coast-West Coast Beef that is where things turned deadly after the murder
of Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas on September 7th in 1996.
With both men having such a large rivalry those around Biggie we're worried for his
safety.
Wallace would continue making music and while promoting his second album, "Life After Death,"
in Los Angeles California, he was fatally shot on March 9th in 1997.
To this day neither the murder of Christopher Wallace or Tupac Shakur has been solved.
