What Can You Learn from the Disappointments in Life?

Since you can't completely avoid disappointments in life, you need to learn how to look at the positive side of every one.

Everything that happens to people in life holds a lesson, both the good experiences and the bad ones.

Generally speaking, the negative ones teach us the most. What can you learn from the disappointments in life? Some people come out of huge disappointments much stronger.

There's a name for it: resilience.

The term comes from physics: it describes materials that return to their normal state after being folded, for example.

As for the question of why there are disappointments, you have to remember that life is full of problems and conflicts.

There's no rose-colored world, just creatures that go throughout their lives doing their best to come out of negative situations with grace.

The important thing in tough times is to defend yourself from defeated attitudes and get the most out of the tough times in terms of your personal growth.

This article will talk about certain positive attitudesthat can help you learn from the disappointments in life.

Continue reading if that's something you want to do… Disappointing experiences There are all kinds of disappointments you may face in life: breakups, layoffs, betrayal, lies, ingratitude… Some of the deepest disappointments include: The loss of loved ones Financial problems Losing a job Forced emigration Violence What you can learn from the disappointments in life You can't control everything in life Unfortunately, this lesson comes after big disappointments.

You should know that the only things you can control are your own attitudes, decisions, feelings, and actions.

It is a complete waste of energy to focus on things you can't control.

Be patient While everyone wants to avoid disappointments, it's important to have patience.

You already know that you can't control everything in life, especially things that are under the control of other people.

It's a matter of attitude What you can control is your own attitude, and getting away in time from anything harming you.

You must get away from whatever isn't good for you, say NO when it's warranted, and demand respect, clarity, and sincerity in your relationships.

Get perspective on your problems Analyze all sides of the problem.

This way you'll be able to see it from another perspective and make better future decisions.

Accept it Learn how to accept things that are in the past and accept they can't be changed anymore.

The best way to get out of disappointments is by using your dignity.

Trying to change a situation that can't be changed will just make it worse and make you exhausted and frustrated.

Appreciating time Appreciate what's positive. Some people resign whenever they experience pain and negative feelings, heartaches and setbacks — as if there were nothing good in it at all.

Instead of that unhealthy attitude, take the positive out of every experiences.

Recognize the positive side, give it the value it deserves, feed it, and reproduce it.

Balance the good and the bad.

Time heals everything. It's absolutely true, and seeing your problems as more important as they are won't do anything.

Before you do or say anything that you'll regret, let some time pass and look at thing from your perspective.

It's good and necessary to get help. You might be suffering in silence and making this experience tougher than it needs to be.

However, there's no need to be afraid to get help from friends or professionals, keeping in mind that your mental health is at stake.

Think about yourself. Yes, there will be obstacles, but don't lose your purpose in life.

A lot of times disappointments have nothing to do with your mission.

The mission? Your own well-being.

It's a necessary step before you will be able to help others.

There is so very much you can learn from the disappointments in life.

You really can get your hope back and see a new future ahead of yourself.

Don't forget though: patience, hope, and tenacity will be indispensable attitudes.

How to Find Lasting Love in a Relationship|HFE♪ - Duration: 8:57.

How to Find Lasting Love in a Relationship

Lasting love starts with one's own self since self-esteem is the base of being able to establish solid and mature relationships that can last a lifetime.

Almost all of us are looking for someone that fits perfectly with us to start our own lasting love story.

However, as we know, the subject is more complicated than it may seem.

Even if we think that it's just a matter of luck, destiny or the people we meet, the reality is that it all starts with ourselves.

Some keys to finding long-lasting love.

Take care of your self-esteem.

Some psychologists believe that when we feel we need a long-lasting relationship the most is when we're probably dealing with a problem of low self-esteem.

If we are desperately looking for someone serious that will love us, the problem may come from within.

In these cases, the best thing to do is to clear the panorama.

Ask ourselves what it is that we really need before making any pressured decisions.

If you're faced with a low self esteem problem, then you are not ready for a stable relationship.

On the contrary, those who have a high self-esteem aren't constantly thinking about finding someone.

They don't need someone there for them all of the time.

Don't idealize love.

In addition, the way that we look at love can be another inconvenience when it comes to finding it.

There are many preconceived ideas, prejudices and misguided cultural teachings about what a relationship should be like.

"Find your Prince Charming," "live happily ever after" and the classic "you are the only one for me" are just some of the expressions that display this problem.

However, the worst thing is that we base our emotions around these ideas.

Unfortunately, in many cases, things don't work like that.

Every person has a different and unique perspective.

Also, the dynamics of interpersonal relationships are much more complicated than those we read about in fairy tales.

Your partner is not an object.

The combination of low self-esteem and infatuation almost always turns into the unhealthy custom of jealousy.

There are those who tend to think that a serious relationship means doing everything their partner wants.

However, that isn't true:.

In reality, building a relationship doesn't mean you are anyone's possession. No human being is anyone's property.

Even in a relationship, every person is a free, autonomous being with the right to make his or her own decisions.

Uncontrollable jealousy has destroyed more relationships than you can imagine.

A lasting relationship means creating a consensus and negotiations so that each person feels free, respected and loved.

Dealing with crisis.

Long-lasting love has many stages.

That means that not everything will be perfect.

Sexual attraction, infatuation and becoming a couple are only a summary of everything that takes place when two human beings are together.

If you ask those who have had long relationships, they will confirm this.

Crises are an important part of every relationship, because they forge them.

However, in order to do that, the solutions cannot be based around what only one person wants.

Before focusing on what we want from our "other half," we should ask ourselves, "what can I do to make everything better?".

Lasting love is a love that makes you better.

It's easy to get into a relationship and fall in love at the start of it.

After all, we're influenced by intense hormones and high hopes.

However, the hard thing is to keep this going as the years pass.

Lasting relationships are those where the love is nurtured as the years continue.

We don't stop the caresses, the understanding and all of the other demonstrations of affection.

Doing it should be pleasurable, but also a discipline.

Another way to nurture the love is to learn to put yourself in your partner's place.

Avoid unnecessary arguments. Instead, substitute your arguments for active negotiation.

No one said that it would be easy.

In conclusion, being able to get along well enough with someone to want to marry them or have a lasting relationship isn't easy.

What you have to look for are a number of vital aspects: psychological, emotional, spiritual, moral, sexual and social.

However, this doesn't mean that it's impossible.

There are many possibilities when you put forth a lot of effort.

Fortunately, this will be worth it when you're involved with the right person.

Then, the work will be in understanding each other's differences and continuing to build the relationship.

Inktober | Lets STIPPLE Dots! (Story Telling Commentary) [Day 3] 2018 - Duration: 8:54.

Hello hope we're doing great today

I have a story for you about when I was younger when I started to get into video games

My family never had a lot of money

So we were behind by many years when it came to the console system that we were using for

Example one PlayStation 2 was out. I was still playing on the Nintendo 64

When I first started doing gaming I was playing on the Super Nintendo and the original Nintendo. I

Remember playing the Zelda games a lot and playing the mario ones, especially a lot as well

But I still think that my favorite of all time from the Nintendo was playing Zelda

I like the challenges and fighting all the bosses and

Figuring things out in the game. I felt like it

improved my memory and maybe think a lot better and

Then as I moved into the Super Nintendo

When I started playing the Super Nintendo I continued playing the Zelda games. I

started playing the Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past and

I remember the time to me the graphics seemed to be so amazing. It was wow. This is so realistic

it's so new in 3d and

you look at the games that are out now and everything's you know completely three-dimensional and they can render something to where it's

Realistic like it's right there in front of you

such as VR and you know those games or it's like a

completely different reality and

I couldn't even imagine at that time at that age

You know the concept of how games are now

although I don't do any gaming now because I'm really busy with work and

I'm really busy with doing a lot of drawing

I kept playing that game until they came out with the Legend of Zelda

Ocarina of Time and that was my absolute favorite game that I've ever played and

First time it was just so far ahead as far as the gameplay and everything and I don't think I ever played Majora's Mask

I might have one time in a friend's house. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was for the Nintendo 64. I

also had several other games and my second favorite game that have played for the Nintendo 64 was turok I

played that game for hours and hours every day and

I kept playing the Ocarina of Time game up until about

2002 I think or 2003 and

I continued playing it until they came out with

The Wind Waker game for Zelda the Wind Waker game of Zelda that was on the Nintendo GameCube

had this other game called Soul Calibur and

I had a blast plan that as well

But before I had the Nintendo GameCube, I had the PlayStation 1 and the PlayStation 2

But I didn't get his PlayStation 2

until I think it was

2003 but I was still playing The Legend of Zelda games even though they were from older systems

I just continued playing them because I just found them so fun

Even though you had better game system such as the PlayStation 1 the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube

it has has such solid gameplay that the graph has didn't really matter that much to me and

for the PlayStation 1 I was playing it was the double-oh-seven games and

I have to think really hard because I get some of the games between

The PlayStation 1 and the PlayStation 2 confused and because I had both of them another game

I'll never forget playing was called a Legend of Dragoon

It came with four CDs in the case

And it was a very long game. There was a lot of adventure there was so many things to do

And never remember playing it and I kept getting to the boss at the end of the game

but my characters level was about 30 levels too low to be able to fight him because

There are so many times right to have a group of enemies that had to fight and I would just avoid them I would move

around them or do what it could so that I could try to get to the next boss and

the bosses were so hard that way and

I know that when I got to the final boss every time in guy to him when his health was low the

Game would freeze, so I was never able to beat him

so I think one day I want to go back and replay that game and go through it again and

Finally beat the boss when I was playing this game

This was at my grandparents house when I lived in Florida

I would go to visit them maybe every couple of months for maybe a few days and

During the summer I would stay there for a couple weeks was my family

And I remember this being in my room and I was just so absorbed in the game

My grandpa would come in and he would ask me Jacob. How long have you been in here?

and I like telling him I don't know maybe an hour or two and

I'd ask him what time it is and it would have been no 9 or 10 hours

But there was just so much adventure in the game and I was just having so much fun with it

I always had a lot of interest in games that had

no challenges that made me think a lot and

Were the type of games that were kind of medieval or the Dark Ages or like Renaissance themed?

Type of stuff that is you know, and The Legend of Dragoon has a lova that in it because of the armor and everything

They're wearing and The Legend of Zelda games

medieval type of game and

I've always just really loved those type of games of the the whole combat system and everything that's set up in it as I got

Older I started to get more into PC games and I started playing Age of Empires

Empire Earth Age of Mythology, and those games were like the

realtime strategy and

They incorporated the medieval and the renaissance age to it. And I love the whole atmosphere of it

And you know building up a big city and everything and then I remember getting the SimCity games the night

I had a blast playing those because of the challenge I would I was set the difficulty to really high and

I would have put it to where there was a lot of disasters

So when I was playing the game there was a lot more things happening

for example

I'd build a good portion of my city and then an asteroid will come in and destroy if half of it and I'd have to

Rebuild everything the first PC games. I started playing was Diablo 1 and start eft-1. I

Continue playing Starcraft 1 up until 2007 and a few years later. They came out with Starcraft 2

There are so many different games. I've played I think for each of them

I'll have to make a story for an individual video my first

MMORPG game was runescape. I started playing that back in 2001. I

heard about it from a friend of mine that I went to school with and I heard them talking about some game and I

Wasn't sure what it was. So we're having to asked him

They started telling me all these stories about some game that was set in a time that was from hundreds of years ago

And he could be a character and upgrade your armor and do all these things

from that point on up until

2007 I've played the game a lot every single day

It helped get my mind off of things and drawing was always there as well

But it was just something that was an extra small escape to help me get over things. I continued playing the game until

2016 from 2007 until about

2013 I only played the game for maybe an hour a day at most and then from 2013

to 2015

how to play maybe once or twice a week for an hour or two and that was really it

Because I had different goals and different things were happening in my life and I just didn't have a time for it. I

Started picking it up again in 2016 in

2016 I had a lot of choices to make about where I wanted to go with my life and what I wanted to do

2017 is the year that devoted myself to art and now the story continues if you have any questions

Let me know in the comments below but for now, I'm gonna do some drawing. I

Look forward to making more of these videos and I'll see you soon

Thank you, please subscribe and have a good night

You

I WANT A PUPPY!

DOG?

No, no, no.

Who will take care of it?

Me, of course!

AS IF!

You asked for a rabbit. I bought a rabbit.

You asked for a hamster. I bought you a hamster.

What did you say to convince me?

"I'LL TAKE CARE OF IT MYSELF."

That's why i bought it for you.

but at the end, i'm the one who ended up taking care of them.

I had to put up with all those pets.

You will bid goodbye and go to school in the morning.

At night, for a short time you will play with the pet and then go to sleep.

From morning to night, i'm the one running behind them.

The dog will mess up the whole house!

It will "POTTY" here and there. I am the one who has to clean it!

I can speak 4 pages of dialogues for this but it will become a court room scene!

Now, you will ask for a dog. then a monkey. then an ELEPHANT!

No, no, no.

<sniffling> but i want a puppy.

We will see next year.

Really?

I have fried chicken in the kitchen. Go and load on it.

Mom, you know the pet shop near our house...

Let's go to the pet shop and see the dogs...

I have already given my thoughts on this.

If a dog comes into this house....

Either the dog stays here...

Volcano erupts in Indonesia days after earthquake and tsunami, which killed 1,407 people - Duration: 0:35.

While the death toll from the earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia has risen to more than

one-thousand-four-hundred,... the hardest-hit island of Sulawesi has been hit with another

natural disaster,... a volcanic eruption.

While the height of the volcanic ash column observed was around six-thousand meters above

sea level,... the eruption is unlikely to directly affect the ongoing search operation...

as the volcano is quite far from the city of Palu, which was most badly hit by the quake.

Meanwhile, the UN Central Emergency Response Fund has revealed it will allocate 15 million

U.S. dollars to help the victims of the earthquake.

[ENGSUB](Star Road ep.3) iKON Bobby's Horror Story - Duration: 2:00.

- I got one. - What is it?

- It's scary. - What is it?

- This actually happened in Japan. - Is it your own experience?

[Bobby's scary story!] - No, it's not. - Okay.

- Are you going to keep talking like that? - Yes, well I want to respect.

- Really? - Yea, anyways, this happened in Japan.

There was a really poor family.

Mom, dad, and one daughter lived together. One day, Dad passed away.

He died in an accident.

So mom and daughter lived together.

The family was so poor, as I said earlier.

It wasn't easy for the mom to raise her child.

So she killed herself.

She left a will and a letter.

It was a red bag.

Let's say the daughter's name is Yukiko.

"Sorry for leaving you alone, Yukiko."

"When you go through really difficult times."

"Open this letter."

So the daughter always carried the letter as it was the only keepsake from her mom.

Later, the daughter went to high school.

Boys made fun of her as she always carried it,

and because she didn't have parents.

They told her, "Your mom is dead, why do you keep carrying her stuff?"

They tried to take it away from her.

They took away but she managed to get it back, and she ran away to the toilet.

In the toilet, she missed her parents so much.

So she decided to open it.

She opened it and the letter said

Just die.

Oh, that's scary.

- Scary. - So scary. - Scary.

- That's sad. - Well.. that is life.

- That's life? - What a sad story.

- Scary. - It's sad. It's a sad story.

[Jinhwan doesn't like scary stories] [Scary] Well.. I don't like scary stories.

They are too scary.

Okay

- Okay. - Why don't we stop sharing scary stories?

- Do you have any other scary story to share? - Just one more. - I got one.

- Okay. - Well, I think I've shared it before.

[Donghyuk's scary story] [For real?] - A real story? - I want to share it on the show.

This is a typical scary story.

- Typical? Then don't share it. - No, actually not typical. - Yea?

If you get scared by this story, you won't be able to look at the window today.

I don't like it. Like a window, or a mirror..

There was a family of just two brothers.

The older brother was senior at high school, So he studied for college entrance exams.

The younger one slept first, as the older one would study til late at night.

The older brother would study so hard, listening to some music.

One day, he heard a voice, saying ..

"The younger brother is sleeping but the older brother is studying."

It's scary, right?

So he took out his earphones and looked around.

And thought he heard it wrong.

But he heard it again. "The younger brother is sleeping but the older one is studying.

He kept on hearing for more than a week.

So he couldn't concentrate on his studies.

Finally, he decided to do something about it.

He went to a shaman alone.

The shaman said, "It is a ghost who failed the college entrance exam."

"The ghost wants to distract people who study for the exam."

The shaman gave an amulet to him.

and said, "Put the amulet on you, then the ghost can't distract you anymore."

The shaman also told the brother to never go near the windows.

So he put the amulet on himself,

put it even on his fingers, and tried to focus on his studies.

The younger brother slept first as always, and he studied til late at night.

But he heard the voice again.

"The younger brother is sleeping, but where's the older brother?"

So he thought, "What's going on?"

He was told not to go near the windows, right? So he just turned around to look at the windows.

He could see the ghost looking for him.

So the older brother got really scared.

He thought he should protect his brother.

He decided to open the window and push the ghost off.

He opened the window, It was a rainy day.

The amulet on his fingers fell off because of the wind.

The ghost said, "The younger brother is sleeping, and the older one is right here!"

[Flutters] He's right here!

[So proud of himself.]

- What a reaction. - You scared me.

- That's scary. - I feel like I heard a female voice.

[I heard it!] - I got scared more because of the writer. - I think there's a female ghost here.

- I think there's a female ghost here. - There's a ghost here.

- I really heard the voice. - I did too.

- What a.. - After I heard this story, I couldn't look at the windows for more than a week.

This is a story I heard while studying in the states.

I was using a room by myself.

I was too scared to look at the windows.

- You will be reminded the story late at night. - I was so immersed in the story.

- Oh, poor Jinhwan. - No, I have heard the story before.

- I have heard of it before. - Yea, I have shared it before.

Good story.

I didn't get scared of the story itself, someone made a sound.

[The writer sounded like Jo Sumi] - I got so scared. - I thought it was a sound effect.

- Who was it? - I've never seen a person who shouted like this.

- Who was it? - Is she a singer?

It was like Sol sharp, really high one.

Game Time!

So we've shared many stories as well as scary stories.

- Yea, ghost scary stories. - Yea, we did. So now..

[Game Start] as we came to MT, Why don't we play some games?

- Sounds good. - As the youngest one here,

- I'm so determined to win all games. - Okay. - Okay.

Actually, I'm not good at games. So I won't be obsessed with winning games.

- I'll just enjoy them. Let's get it. - Okay. - I'll go get it.

Okay, the penalty is..

- Well, what game .. - There are many penalty options.

[Penalty roulette] I'll first pick what game we play.

Ok, you pick one.

- "Strawberry game." - What is it?

- What is it?" - Isn't it this one? "Strawberry, Strawberry, .."

- Like, "Three strawberries." - Ah, this one?

- Strawberry, Strawberry, Strawberry. - the one famously known as ting ting tang tang. - Ah, that one!

- Should we make the maximum eight, not four strawberries? - No, no.

- The maximum four won't be that easy either. - Should we decide which fruit we want to say?

- Can we just play a practice game? - Okay, you go first.

No, you go first.

- Let's eat strawberries. - One, two, three, four!

- Let's eat strawberries. - Strawberry.

- Strawberry, strawberry.

- Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry. - Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.

Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.

Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.

[Missed the timing.]

- Oh, I got it. - Junhoe will lose. - How should I do 9 strawberries?

- Just like Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.. - Yea, just like that.

- It just keeps increasing. - Let's start with Junhoe. - I don't think we can go that far.

- No. - Shall we play one more practice game? - Starting with Junhoe, going around this way?

No, let's just start with Jinhwan.

- Okay, let's just do it. - Yea, let's do it.

- You learn games by losing. - BPM 120.

- Okay, let's go. - Let's eat strawberries, nom nom.

- Strawberry. - Strawberry, strawberry.

- Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry. - Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.

Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.

Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.

Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.

Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.

Strawberry.

[Confused.] - No, you got it wrong. - What? - No. - Loser!

- You should've done nine times. - Loser. - Yea, nine times.

- Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.. - I heard eight strawberries.

- You heard it wrong! - Why is it nine strawberries?

Like strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry...

- Just like that? - Yea, you stupid.

No, there's no excuse.

- Penalty time. - Penalty!

- Yunhyeong. - You lied that you transferred from Seoul National University.

- Okay, throw the dart. - I'll spin the roulette. - Wait, what penalties...

- Just do it. - Oh, at the center, no.

- It just stopped. - It's not darts.

- Then you spin the roulette. - Yea, just spin it. - Throw it.

- Throw it after he spins it. - One, two, three!

You should throw it fast.

Stop!

[He threw at the finger flick!] Finger flick!

- One finger flick? or six? - One. - The strongest one.

Let's do rock paper scissors.

- Finger flick like this? - This one, that one is so painful. - So much pain.

- I will cry. - Does anyone want to do it?

- You do it as you sit next to him. - I'm good at it.

- Can I hit you hard? - Jinhwan..

- People next to him hit him. - Why? - I'm sorry.

- I want Jinhwan to hit me. - Jinhwan is not strong. - I can hit hard.

- Oh, he's strong. - He is!

- People say something that's little can often have great power. - I'm not good at it.

Brother.

[so weak]

- What have you done? - I knew it.

- He came forward. - He has short fingers.

[Let's do the game in a sexy way.] Why don't we do the game in a sexy manner.

- Sexy? - Wait, teach me the rules one more time.

Okay, so if you're 10 strawberries.

Strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry, strawberry.. it's eight right?

and you add two more.

Strawberry, strawberry. Like this.

- So it keeps going on and on. - Okay, I got it.

So if it's 100, then it goes like strawberry, strawberry..

[EP4 will be continued.] - If it's 100, just keep saying strawberries?

- But this time, in a sexy manner. - Sexy.

One Korean still missing from Indonesia quake, 7 others out of contact confirmed safe - Duration: 1:27.

Meanwhile, the South Korean foreign ministry was able to confirm the safety of all seven

Korean nationals that had been out of contact in Indonesia.

Yet, the ministry says the search goes on for one South Korean man who's still missing.

Our Kim Hyo-sun has this story.

Seoul's foreign ministry confirmed on Wednesday the safety of two additional South Korean

nationals that could not be contacted following the deadly earthquake and tsunami that shook

Indonesia.

Quoting the South Korean embassy in Indonesia,... the foreign ministry explained that the safety

of all seven South Koreans who couldn't be contacted has been confirmed.

The ministry added the rescue operation goes on for the one missing Korean national,...

whose mother has flown to Indonesia to search for her son.

"There are empty spaces in the collapsed building.

I feel there's a possibility my son could be sound and safe."

The hotel where her son was staying collapsed during the quake.
