Youtube daily report Oct 4 2018

Welcome to the beautiful world of Aquascaping, to the Green Aqua Gallery in Budapest, Hungary.

Today we're talking about this aquarium that is right next to me.

This is a 60P aquarium, a 60x30x36 cm.

In the past weeks in the YouTube videos that we published for you guys

we showed a total of 8 - actually 7 aquariums...

7 bigger aquariums that we have here in the Gallery.

Did we show all of them?

I think yeah.

The 8th aquarium is empty right now.

It's waiting to be set up.

We're gonna make a different video for you guys showing how we do that.

In addition to those 8 bigger aquariums, we have another 4 smaller aquariums.

64 liter aquariums to be precise.

This aquarium right next to me is one of them. Behind me you can see the rest.

One of them is also empty.

It's also waiting to be set up and I hope that we're gonna have some guests...

Here at the Green Aqua Gallery who are going to help us to set up this aquarium.

We really like this 60P size because if you don't want to buy a bigger aquarium,

don't want to spend a lot of money on gear...

If you wanna just try how it works for you then it's a pretty cost-effective thing to run a 60-liter tank.

If you want a nice and affordable light, you can just get this ADA AquaSky...

Well... Relatively affordable light.

You can just get this ADA AquaSky G that we have right above it.

Today all the RGB type LED-s are really popular among us aquascapers.

This is a little-bit different because it gives you a nice and cool fresh green color.

As you can see on the whole image the greens are really accentuated and it has a nice-n-fresh green color.

It will bring a piece of nature into your room.

I told you that...

60P is a good size for a beginner.

Obviously this is the second step from having a nano tank.

Like a 30 cm cube.

But this is the first size that I would consider big enough to have a nice and decent aquascape in it.

You can have depth with it, you can have height with it, you can fit rocks in it, you can fit a lot of plants in it.

And you can have quite nice layouts in this kind of aquarium.

This is the second aquarium in the Green Aqua gallery that was inspired by Mr. Takashi Amano.

We were visiting the ADA Gallery in Japan with my business partner Viktor a couple of years ago.

We saw there two tanks that specially inspired me.

One of them was Mr. Amano's 180P tank, an island composition

that we made a video about a couple of weeks ago.

The 650 liter tank... You can check out the YouTube link there.

Or is it there? Yeah, it's there.

And this one is the next one.

...That was also inspired by a 180P tank in the same ADA Gallery.

Obviously the tank that you see on the picture now that was made by Mr. Amano is a bigger tank.

It has a different kind of foreground, and it obviously has a lot more structure to it.

It has a lot more details than our tank.

But nevertheless I wanted to talk to you a little bit about inspiration.

You can get inspiration from two places... In my humble opinion.

You can get inspiration from nature. Directly.

By walking in the forests. Walking in the mountains.

And just look at rock formations. Look at tree formations.

Bushes. Look at different hills. Chasms, whatever.

Valleys...

You can look at rivers, there's a lot of really nice inspiration

to be found out there for aquarium enthusiasts.

This is - by my opinion also - this is a bit more difficult approach towards building an aquarium.

For beginners I would recommend to find an aquarium that you really like,

copy that aquarium, and get inspired by that aquarium and start from there.

Obviously I'm not a beginner but I also started with Mr. Amano's work here,

because my idea about building an aquarium that is a "copy" would be

that you're not gonna be able to make that copy precisely anyways.

So it's going to be your own inspiration.

By the time that you're done building the tank, it's not gonna look like the original one.

But at least you have something in your mind that will start you, that will give the initial kick to you.

In order to be able to build a beautiful aquarium. Based on another aquarium.

I actually have 4 bigger structures of lava stone built in this tank.

I have tied Taiwan moss on them.

I also tied Hygrophila pinnatifida on the moss - together with the moss - on the rocks.

As a special kind of foreground plant I was using the Hydrocotyle tripartita.

Hydrocotyle tripartita is not being used very often as a foreground plant.

Usually it's a mid-ground plant or you grow it on rocks, or you put it in the background.

In this case I was thinking of doing something different. I wanted to accentuate the foreground a little bit.

To have something of lighter-green color in the foreground.

Which would give you a nice contrast with the darker green of the mosses.

And also, to have some red patches of Hygrophila pinnantifida in it.

So light-green, dark-green and red.

And all these three will give you a combination of nice contrast.

Also, the fish selection is these little colorful guppies. Endler guppies to be precise.

These will give a tank a fresh-green look as I told you before. And also some color.

This is why the whole thing looks like a little juwel.

Obviously you need CO2 injection. We have pressurized CO2 system below this aquarium.

It will help you to have lush and green plants in the aquarium.

The CO2 bottle will last at least 6 months under this tank.

As far as the substrate goes, we have the ADA substrate system in the tank.

You have ADA Power Sand at the bottom.

And you have ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia and Aqua Soil Amazonia Powder on the top of it.

This helps a lot with the planting of the Hydrocotile tripartita.

Because the roots will be held inside the substrate much better.

This is the foreground plant. Check out the length of it.

See that?

So what I do - basically - when I plant it... Is I put it and I cut like little pieces of 5-8 cm.

And then I plant these bunches down and then... Gradually as it grows...

I would trim all the stems that were growing upside

and just keep the ones that are spreading downwards or sideways.

It's much better.

So this is Hydrocotile tripartita from Dennerle.

I wanted to show you Hygrophila pinnatifida, and that is the plant that I have on the lava stones.

They were glued together with a special Impa glue.

It's a Polyester-based glue.

It will not release anything into the water so it's pretty safe for the livestock.

This is how this plant looks like.

In jelly - it's a liquid jelly.

You can just take it out and wash the plant a little bit and then you can tie it on the rock.

Don't be afraid of the size.

Some... Most of the plants that come in jelly would look like this.

They would grow immensely - if you don't trim it...

They can grow - even stem plants when they come like this - they can grow up to the surface.

Small size doesn't mean that it's going to look bad or small in your aquarium.

Actually if you're looking at the label on the Tropica plant...

You will see that it grows 20 cm tall in 30 days.

Which means that this will be a big plant if leave it to grow.

Another plant that we used is the Taiwan moss. The Taxiphyllum 'Taiwan'.

Right there... It says it will grow 20 cm wide in 30 days.

Well I don't know about that. Didn't measure it.

But it will grow everywhere and you need to trim it regularly.

If you don't trim it, it's gonna be bushy as hell.

So you better keep it nice and thin.

'Cause after some time the bottom of the moss will get brownish and it's not gonna look beautiful anymore.

So you need to trim it regularly.

I have quite a few cups of moss there, I'm gonna check how many.

We were using only 5 Taiwan mosses and actually I see that we were using Weeping moss as well.

Sometimes these mosses will mix up and you're not gonna see which moss is where.

They just grow together. Weeping moss would grow a little bit downwards.

Obviously. And Taiwan moss would go everywhere.

So these two will mix up and form this nice layout here.

We were using ADA ferts in this aquarium, the Green Brighty Mineral and the Brighty K.

And this is really good, because you only need to pump 3 of these - 3 ml.

1 pump = 1 ml.

And these 3 ml is enough for a 60 liter tank. Daily.

You can see the ADA Maintenance Stand right next to the aquarium.

On the left side of the picture-

We really love that because you can just take out the ferts and just put the ferts in the aquarium

that is right next to it.

You can keep the maintenance tools on it.

And you can keep all kinds of fish-feeders and all kind of other stuff on it.

So it's a really nice and beautiful addition to the Green Aqua Gallery to have this ADA stand here.

Let me talk a little bit about the clearness of an aquarium.

You don't see that, but Opti-White glass that all our aquariums are built from is a really clear type of glass

that has no Plumb in it. So actually there's a procedure in which Plumb is being taken out from the glass.

It results in a tint-less really transparent glass that will make your aquarium look... Empty... Like having no water in it.

Actually, when you're looking at old-school aquariums and you see some tint, you think it's the water.

That has some tint...

Maybe that's the case, but most of the time it's just the glass.

That will give a little bit of yellowish-greenish tint to the look.

If you use Opti-White glass even with 5-6 mm glass thickness...

That would result in a crystal-clear view of the aquarium.

And also, let's not forget about the filtration which is the most important thing in the aquarium hobby.

If you have a good filter then you already have won your game.

By having an algae-free tank.

Because if everything else is in order, and you have a good biological filtration,

that will take Ammonia out of your system and you will have crystal-clear water that you always desired.

The basic idea is to have all the tech gear ready and stable, behind your aquarium.

If you have that then you're probably going to enjoy your aquarium for a long time.

Until you wanna re-scape it.

And keeping aquariums is going to be a nice hobby for you for a long time.

It's going to be relaxing for you to return home, sit back and just watch the underwater world evolving.

All right, this was it.

Next week, we're coming with a new video.

Until next week... Goodbye!

SC Vital Fitness - How to Regress a Chin up - Duration: 1:27.

Hi guys it's Chris and it's Sean

down at SC Vital Fitness and today we're

going to talk about chin-ups

now chin-ups are a great exercise and

there is a version for you whether you

think you can do them or whether you

think you can't here we're gonna start

off a baseline level of a chin up

so here Sean's going to get into a

great position by starting with a set of

the shoulders lifting his leg slightly

out to the front to keep his core

engaged and then he's gonna pull himself

up to the bar and when he's there he's

looking to get his chest to the bar

rather than his chin awesome right to

regress for exercise a little bit you

know because a lot of people can't do

chin-ups and that's absolutely fine to

regress that a little bit we would get

him doing eccentric and what that is

there is where he starts at the top and

then lowers himself down under control

remembering the three points that I gave

you a minute ago and then to make that

even easier because it's obviously the

pulling up bit that's hard we would take

a bar and he's going to use then with

his feet on the floor to pull himself up

making it a little bit easier and all

he's got to do to make that a little bit harder

it's just gradually take the effort away

from his feet and put it back through

his arms tune in next week where we're

going to talk about progressing a

pull-up for all you strong guys and

girls out there and and we are going to

have some fun doing some more pull-ups

Eggs and Their Nutritional Value|HFE♪ - Duration: 7:47.

Eggs and Their Nutritional Value

The egg is a food that has great nutritional benefits.

However you must know the recommended quantity to eat the right amount, among other details.

It was in the middle of the 19th century when specialists determined that protein is necessary for good development for human beings.

Therefore, eggs and meat began to be considered obligatory goods for any healthy diet thanks to their nutritional value.

How Frequently Should You Include Eggs in Your Diet?.

Eggs have become a basic ingredient in your pantry, thanks to its nutritional value, flavor, and of course, easy preparation.

All of this without costing you a fortune because they're reasonably priced.

Eggs have a high index of essential amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins that your body needs.

However, you will find these both in the whites and the yolk.

While the egg whites are made of 88% water, the rest are proteins.

Among them, ovalbumin is the most prominent.

This is the reason why it's recommended to only eat the egg whites.

Why Is It Good to Eat Eggs?.

Based on what was mentioned above, it's obvious that eggs contain a large amount of protein. Additionally, they're easy to digest because of their amino acids.

Also, a whole egg contains 11% fat (only in the yolk).

However, this fat is good and is better than saturated fat.

Eggs contain oleic, linoleic, and alpha-linolenic acid.

These are essential for you because your body doesn't naturally produce it and must acquire it through certain foods.

Furthermore, they contain iron and zinc which lets you balance out your consumption of red meats.

They also help you prevent anemia.

Among the vitamins eggs contain, the most prominent are vitamins B, A, E, K and D.

Do Eggs Have Cholesterol?.

Before negatively labeling cholesterol, it must be emphasized that it's important for your body and is a part of the cells found in bile.

That is to say, it contributes to transporting fats, as well as hormone and vitamin D production.

However, your body generates around 800 to 1500 mg per day, and it is surprisingly found in all animal products.

Your body only uses 50% of the cholesterol from the food you eat.

In this case, cholesterol is found in egg yolks.

One medium-sized egg contains around 186mg, meaning that it contains about 62% of your recommended daily consumption.

However, the relationship between cholesterol and cardiovascular disease is still controversial.

In other words, although eggs have cholesterol, they also contain unsaturated fats that improve your cardiovascular health. .

How Many Eggs Should I Eat?.

In summation, it isn't about the quantity, but rather the quality of the food.

It's clear that every organism has a different metabolism but the fact that eggs have fat and cholesterol doesn't mean that they are harmful.

There are many experts that recommend eating 5 eggs per week.

However, in reality there isn't scientific data that corresponds to that.

What you can do is listen to the suggestions of doctors and the World Health Organization (WHO) in terms of food.

They suggest that you:.

Reduce your consumption of energy drinks, rich in saturated fat and sugar.

Lessen your consumption of salt in foods.

Increase your consumption of fruits and fresh leafy green vegetables.

And finally, be physically active for at least one hour per day.

What does all of this mean? In the case of not fulfilling the above recommendations, you should reduce your egg consumption because there isn't a way to eliminate bad cholesterol.

The best thing to do is eat one egg every three days. But, why conform to a sedentary lifestyle? The only thing you need to do is eat healthy and exercise a little every day.

Remember there aren't harmful foods, but there are harmful diets and habits.

Playlist Picks - Episode 1 - Jovel | Metro.co.uk - Duration: 6:12.

What's up, I'm Jovel. If you don't know get to know

and I'm here doing Playlist Picks

Bittahninja asks, or he says:

I'm looking to get into producing my own music

what would be your production master class playlist

First off... I don't know what genre you make,

like that's quite a broad question.

The first guy that pops into my head...

this is kind of the end of the spectrum... would be like James Blake, yeah?

This guy knows music on a different level. You'll hear like soundscapes and

like textures and stuff that are edging on to when it's a bit too much to understand,

like I don't get where this is going... then he brings it back

So if you want to just get creative like I think that'll be a great place to start.

But that's like, just for inspiration don't try and copy what he does

You ain't going to be able to do that.

If you listen to 'Limit to Your Love' how he puts the bass so low you can't hear it

but you can feel it, so it's a weird experience...

And then 'Retrograde'.

When those synths come in they almost clash, but they don't,

and you're just like, "I don't know how I feel about this"

It's great though and his vocals are piercing and haunting.

Yeah, so those two songs are definitely ones you need to pop in there.

Moving onto some cool stuff now, that's like quite techie... you know like artsy fartsy stuff

Sorry James, sorry.

It is though.

But going into some straight-up bad man stuff...

One of them is Justice yeah? You need to put that whole album on there

I'm sorry, like I know it's a playlist but

that album is like if Michael Jackson went with Daft Punk and was like "Yo, make my album"

That is a perfect example of doing old-school music in a modern era

because it just sounds like instrumentals that Michael Jackson would "Chi-ca-ca" on

All night. All day.

Just download Cross man!

Daft Punk, they're perfect example of being so simple and it just bangs.

There's no complicated element in it, you can hear every single instrument that's in there.

'Aerodynamic' - Those beats are really simple you'll be

able to do a really bad version of them yourself and be proud of it

and that's how you get into production really you start copying

so start copying these guys!

Moving on from Daft Punk to someone that sampled that kind of stuff, Kanye West.

That whole thing that you're so used to hearing...

Samples sped up and them thing, he's the guy that did that.

You'll get into the habit of listening to old-school songs and

they'll be a little bit in it, you know it might be a little bridge or something like that

And you're like "ah what's that?"

Try and mess with that. Try and throw it in one of your VSTs.

Speed it up, slow it down. Pitch it up, pitch it down

and it will give you just-- it might just be a little loop that sounds like a mess

but then loop it, put a drumbeat on it. Maybe next thing you know you've got some crazy sound

You'd be surprised how many of your favorite songs have that

and Kanye West is the main guy for that

Man, there's so many songs you could sample with this dude

'Never Let Me Down' - that was a that was an interesting one that's not common.

[Track plays]

Oi! I ain't heard this tune in ages. That tune's banging.

Jheeze! Kanye West is a madman.

He actually is a madman now... but like he was sick.

But moving on from Kanye, like this is quite sad to say but it's is the truth yeah.

Where people used to listen to a Kanye album for that "I wonder what the next the new sound is"...

Travis Scott, yeah?

Travis Scott, now the interesting thing with Travis Scott is

you've got to bare in mind he produces as well.

So you listen to that whole thing as a package. His stuff's insane.

You've got elements of the Daft Punky kind of stuff, you got elements of grunge, and like all sorts of elements

but it's all on a trap beat, like it's crazy.

I'm gonna go look at Travis Scott 'Rodeo'

and with him it's how they're put together.

Imagine you get an album and you get your five favorite hooks of

those album you put them all together that's one track of Travis Scott's

'Nightcrawler' - go listen to 'Nightcrawler'.

I thought they were three songs like I

sing all three of those parts, all four of those parts, separately and in my mind

they're different songs. They're all one song.

Bit of flavor for England just to kind of mix it up is a group called The Composers

I think the only thing you can hear of them in their full force is J Hus- 'Common Sense'.

You listen to that song you'd be like 'rah it sounds like an old-school 50 Cent beat right.

It is a band that produced that song. All live instruments.

It goes to show how you can get live instruments onto like hip-hop of now.

I don't know how heavy like your rock yeah, but this is like a nice happy medium.

Queens of the Stone Age - 'Songs for the Deaf'.

Pick a song man.

Pick a song.

Start with the beginning one, 'I Feel Like a Millionaire'

that album's banging throw that on there. 'No One Knows', the next track, throw that on there.

'First it Giveth' - put that on there. 'Six Shooter' - put that on there.

Go with the flow

They're classic bruv. That song's just a riff and a drum loop, that's it.

They don't do anything else but it is so good you can listen to it forever.

You can listen to it on repeat.

Moving on...The master of that, I think the guy for riffs

like one take riffs, this is the riff, you're gonna listen to it all day all night.

Jack White.

He's done it time and time and time and time again.

He's on about more the purity of music.

How unimportant mixing and all these other things are

and more so just getting into the nitty-gritty,

what is the tone, what is the riff, what is the drumbeat.

It's like the essentials and a lot of people forget that. They get caught up into

"ahh the compression and this and that"

when it gets to production you're gonna meet a lot of people like that.

Alright you could go 'Seven Nation Army' that's like the big one

because that's like a riff that's just mad.

When you're like "who's Jack White?" you go duun dun dun dun dun duuun duuun

You're like oh yeah.

What you want to go for is songs that are so simple and they bang.

You want to talk about real emptiness? Go to Pharrell mate

Listen to 'Grindin''.

Grindin's a drum beat and then someone going pop pop pop

and stuff like that that's it

and it sounds finished.

Yeah man, that's enough for you man.

If you have any more then you're gonna spend all your time

procrastinating listening to dope tracks so get to work.

Check me out, you get me? Jovel music.

You know if you want to get to the highest level. Nah nah,

but if you wanna hear some dope stuff check that out and boom!

See you when I see you man. Peace.

Entro SOLO en un EDIFICIO ABANDONADO que COSTO MILLONES y NADIE LO QUIERE ¿SERA PELIGROSO? - Duration: 15:38.

good morning today I enter an abandoned building which began to be built in 1999 and according to

say the local newspapers, it started build without knowing which one to

be its functionality, therefore when finally it was built with the

first raw materials, it was not destined to anything

that did not have a clear function. I'll tell you a little more about him as

let's go in It is an authentic labyrinth, since it only has one opening and

Multiple hallways and passageway dark places, etc. so come with me so you can meet him

and tell you more about its history show you photos etc. as always

part of this place since even my stories I have shared

if you want to be the first to see the places abandoned we visited since you know

follow us on Instagram, so join me on This exploration, we started.

Notice that this palm tree is inside the building and crosses the roof

All this was glass

look at all this part of the building, it is very high, notice because this already has many

meters and more in the highest part, is a kind of lanterns on top

Here there were also windows, although I do not know if they were classrooms or that

you really never even knew what objective was to have the building either

can yes exactly what it was for what was inside

really made for nothing, at least that's what the

press, where it is stated that it was made without sabar so that

therefore it never got going since something that is not known for that is it can not be used either

notice that building

Hello

I had some amazing rooms

Then they see the gardens, now we will go down

show them to you

see the cypresses and the stairs

realize that you did not know so if you are going to use

I'm not sure how they did it if they did not know what They were going to do

you will tell me

the engine room

part of the roof has already disappeared

the elevator, like to get stuck here inside

the machines are still there

the lever

the place is quite dangerous

look at the top and now what we will see. Look at the stairs

we go down

here came the elevator

all the floor is of parquet

See how spectacular the ceiling is

it looks like a wave form I do not know if it could be seen in the camera

well, you see me, as arched, as it is outside the

the place. people have painted everything

how much money cuts I started telling it was just park

imagine how much a bag of cement costs and multiply by the tons that have been spent here

quality woods, etc

here is a room, I do not know what it is

it can be a bath

the space is simply spectacular

then we will go up

it's amazing how big the building is

it's amazing that he's on the top of a lost mountain

and that he does not know what they did is a bit strange

the elevator shaft is creepy and dangerous

thanks to the mountain boots to go through here

the palm tree survives as the poor can

and it comes up it was inside what it was difficult and they gave him a little

hollow so I could go outside, It is super strange. I'm here

for posterity the poor

bathrooms

the staircases and columns are spectacular

they are spectacular

certainly doing something of this magnitude that does not need for anything is amazing

because if it's never been used and as says the press never knew

so it was going to be used, it's nonsense

the focus is spoiled, this is a gigantic room, it can be a room

projection

has melted before, I do not know why the focus

look at the air conditioning ducts

Here there were windows

at the time it must have been spectacular

we go to the second floor and go to

recover a little bit the way to see what missing

I think they were glass

okay

This is the room we came from before. Think that people are taking money out of their taxes for this to happen

it is not used at all, it is useless, it has no no functionality ...

let's go up these stairs

another elevator, like to get up here

see how shocking this is, that wood, just that little piece think what it must cost

If someone knows about construction issues and knew it, leave it in the comments

these beams they are all made of premium wood

say they think it can cost

And the entire building?

it's amazing

another part of the building

there is more light

look at the windows, it was all glass, on top of that, add to the price the

windows

someone is taking to the parquet

someone comes to do parties here

This must have been the kitchen, here is the forklift

from here the food was sent, that's the whole kitchen area

Excuse the little light, here would be the cameras

I do not know if they are seeing it and here in front should be more bathrooms

would be for the staff

they have taken everything, it is curious the forklift

this is the top and we are in ceiling

the dome and the palm tree

they have taken everything but the building was incredible

It was a spectacular place

it came to inaugurate, imagine the typical photo of politicians

inaugural of the place. If I find pictures of how it was

I used to put them on

we climb

we are in the highest

look

It is spectacular

this is huge, a roof

It was also parquet and look to the bottom

here more bathrooms, someone was taking all this material

or has been preparing to take it. there is one last stair

I'm going to try to climb to the highest can and show it

more plates

the roof

repair all this say it would cost 2 million euros

they say they want to fix it and access is terrible, bumpy

come here was also the forklifts, so here was a dining room

I hear some noise in the ceiling

let's go

I'm going to hurry, I do not want the roof to fall on me

it seems that it is not right

more bathrooms

years here I meet some wells full of water and they are pretty

dangerous to be open and are quite deep and full of water the

smell is terrible

this is a dead cat!

I understand now

Plakat reklamowy Krakowskiego Zakładu Witrażów i Mozaiki S.G. Żeleńskiego z 1909 r. Rys. J. Bukowski - Duration: 1:59.

We present a beautiful advertising poster of the Krakowski Zakład Witrażów i Mozaiki S.G. Żeleński.

It is also calendar for 1909.

The said plant is the oldest existing stained-glass workshop in Poland,

whose works decorate many of the most important sacred and secular buildings in Poland.

The magnificent stained glass windows that were made here are often remembered for life,

although maybe not everyone knows that they were created just in the studio.

The Cracow Department of Stained Glass was established in 1902. by architect Władysław Ekielski and painter Antoni Tuch.

In 1904, Stanisław Gabriel Żeleński joined the company, to take it over two years later.

His contribution was the significant development of the Department.

The Żeleński family was run by the Department until 1952, until nationalization.

Until the late 90s

it belonged to the Renowacja co-operative, but it still remained the most important center of stained glass art in Poland.

The main projects included stained glass windows: in the St. Mary's Church in Kraków, according to Wyspianski and Mehoffer's design,

in the Holy Cross Chapel of the Wawel Cathedral according to the Mehoffer project,

in the Wawel Castle, designed by Włodzimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer or in the church on Skałka by Adam Bunsch.

The beautiful poster was made according to a drawing by Jan Bukowski, an illustrator, painter, illustrator and stained glass artist connected with the Young Poland.

The value of the poster is raised by the fact that it was precisely the artistic activity in the field of typography that Bukowski was best known for.

To put it bluntly: a beautiful decorative poster.

AQUASCAPING - BEAUTIFUL SMALL AQUARIUM WITH A SPECIAL FOREGROUND PLANT - Duration: 14:42.

THE PSYCHOLOGY BEHIND ALIEN ABDUCTIONS | Video by Psych-Minded - Duration: 7:42.

Alien abductions. What does that have to do with psychology? What does that have

to do with anything on this channel? There are a lot of interesting theories

behind why alien abductions happen in the first place. We're gonna go over

those theories and you'll be surprised to find that many of them are rooted in

psychological reasons. First of all, what are the symptoms of an alien abduction?

If you're unfamiliar, there are a lot of cases of people coming forward -- a

relatively large amount of cases, of people claiming that they have been

abducted by aliens. It usually happens in the middle of the night and they

typically have really vivid memories of what happened. The symptoms include

hearing noises, senses of levitation, feeling like you're being lifted up out

of your bed, obviously an extreme sense of terror, and also very scary images of

intruders. Most of the alien abductions that are described have people standing

around the person, basically looking down on them. So a lot of the stories are very

similar and it has really gotten people wondering in the last couple of years

and couple decades what is going on and if there is something to this theory.

Number one is abduction. Psychologists can't deny that it is possible that with

our intelligent life alone, there may be intelligent life out there that could be

doing this. Psychologists are not going to be black and white and deny such an

extreme possibility that we've yet to disprove. When I was doing my research

I did find some psychologists who say we can't say one way or the othe. A lot of

psychologists do believe in human intelligence and so it is easy for some

of us who are interested in psychology to also see how that theory really can't

be discounted entirely. None of us know for sure. The second theory as to why

alien abductions occur or if they occur, is some sort of disorder. There's a

couple different ideas but the number one disorder that is thought to sort of

be the cause of alien abduction or make someone think that they've been abducted

by aliens is sleep paralysis. I've actually talked to a couple people

recently who have dealt with sleep paralysis. I've never personally dealt

with it but it is absolutely terrifying. Essentially what happens is you are

awake you feel like you're awake but you are unable to move.

You're unable to talk and it might even feel like a dreamlike state and the

terror is just awful I've heard. It is just absolutely overwhelming. So very

scary disorder that is thought to -- under the right conditions, sort of

emulate an alien abduction. Not everyone with sleep paralysis is going to

experience the sensation of being abducted by aliens but it is thought

that the perfect element of storms sort of co-occurring with the sleep paralysis

may cause someone to think they've been abducted. Of course certain mental

disorders such as schizophrenia can cause delusions and hallucinations.

So if somebody were to have a combination -- let's say, of schizophrenic

tendencies and maybe sleep paralysis and was prone to having some sort of

hallucination, it could be possible that they firmly believe that and are firmly

convicted that they have been abducted. The interesting thing about sleep

paralysis is -- they did studies on this. Yhey wanted to see if people's eyes were

open when they were under sleep paralysis. So there was a study that was

done where they tested people who had had sleep paralysis confirmed and they

found that people with sleep paralysis do not actually open their eyes when

they are having an episode. So some researchers have speculated that

it's possible that it is actually a dreamlike state in combination with the

paralysis. The next possibility and the next theory and I find this funny and

interesting and especially in psychology we wonder why people do what they do all

the time. The third theory is that people may be doing it for attention

seeking. There's so much interest about alien abductions and so much buzz about

UFOs that a lot of people may take advantage of that and build an elaborate

story and claim that they have been abducted simply for the book deals, the

movie deals, the Lifetime movies --whatever the case is. I'm not saying that's the

case for everybody, but we can't deny that there are certain individuals that

will take an opportunity to make some money or make up a story. That is also

one of the theories psychologists speculate in terms of abduction. The next

is obviously, drugs and alcohol -- can cause some very crazy things to happen,

especially in combination with one another. The researchers have also

speculated that even if a drug was taken years prior or

was not currently being taken the effects can still be in the body. We

know that even withdrawals can cause hallucinations. We know that certain side

effects and medications can cause hallucinations. So even if it's in a

medication and not necessarily an illicit drug that can also cause some

different things to happen depending on one's body chemistry and a bunch of

different factors. Those can kind of play into it. Next is accidental

awareness. Now this is a very specific circumstance but there have been

instances where during surgery people will actually wake up. Unfortunately

they will only wake up consciously -- they won't wake up physically. So they're

unable to move, they're unable to talk. This is terrifying and unfortunately

this does occur occasionally. I have personally had five surgeries and I know

how traumatic it can be and I also know that the look of laying on a surgical

table is very similar to an abduction in a lot of ways because you have people

surrounding you with masks, you have different instruments that they have --

things like very scary. You're a little disoriented. So when I heard this

theory it almost made perfect sense to me, that maybe even if somebody didn't

remember immediately after surgery that they had had a conscious moment under

anesthesia, they may eventually have that come back as like a traumatic memory or

something that you know comes up while they're allowing a dream. So it's

highly likely that because of that accidental awareness, they may mistake

those memories that come back as an abduction. That made sense to me. That

theory made a lot of sense to me. The other theory the last theory we're gonna

talk about that sparked my interest in this whole topic -- the final theory is

that people who claim they have been abducted by aliens are actually reliving

their birth. Think about it similar to surgery.

You have the doctor standing around you, you're laying on a bed, it's very bright

it's disorienting, it's confusing. And your birth is very much the same .

It's been said that psychologically your birth is one of the most traumatic

experiences you can go through and especially when you think about the

alien abduction sort of visions that people have described, it makes so much

sense that it could be people reliving their birth.

Especially because as a baby, your image is gonna be -- not only it's gonna be more

difficult to see because your eyes aren't fully developed, but everyone's

gonna look much bigger than they do from your perspective. Now that theory blew my

mind. I couldn't believe. It that made perfect

sense to me and it's not to discredit if this actually did happen to somebody -- if

somebody was actually abducted, but it does provide an explanation for people

that definitely were not abducted or are sure they were not abducted but have

this terrifying vision that they're grappling with looking at. The fact that

it could be something psychological rooted and even our birth to me is

miraculous and why I wanted to share that information with you guys today and

do something a little bit more fun and exciting on this video. For the rest

of October I will be doing a spooky themed video every Thursday so stay

around and check it out! Be sure to subscribe and I will see you guys next

time! Bye!
