Youtube daily report Jan 18 2019

In America, you say "Break a leg!"

It's an old American expression to say, "Break a leg!"

It means "Do good!", right?

"Break a leg" means to do well

[Surprised J-Hope] Ohhh! xD xD

Not really though, not really [the woman's laughter]

When we were young, like, we're looking at the Billboard chart and, we listen to and download the pop music

and it reminds me of that. So it's like, so like 5 shows all sold out in America

We can't believe it, even now [RM's happy smile]

So, let's hang in there!

Bangtan, Bangtan, BANGTAN! Let's go!

Are you all feeling good tonight?

[Song: Ma City by BTS is played]

Yeah, we're still working on it, in the hotel room

We have to be in the hotel room for 24 hours

So we're still working on it, right?

You're writing your song, right?

producing beats, and writing the rap for your mixtape?

Yeah!

and you're playing Overwatch?

Yeah!

[Jin's funny laughter] hahaha

Everyone is doing their job!

[Song: Ma City by BTS is played]

What English name would you give yourself?

J-Dope! xD XD

Yun kimin? Yun kimin?

Moni <3 Moni!

Yeah, so cute [J-Dope says] Good Moni!

I wanna [inaudible] cute so...

Justin Seagull !

I love Justin Bieber! And I'm Justin Seagull!

Interesting, huh?

[Jungkook's whistling sound] Come on, stop that. Please, please!

[RM]That's what I said.

But you came in a little faster!

Any problem with Save Me and I Need You?

[Jin] V shouldn't be too much at the front.

Ah, yeah! Try not to do that. You have to stay at the back.

[Jimin] I'll remind you before we go up.

We're tired, but let's hang in there.

Bangtan, Bangtan, BANGTAN!

Over the rising curve of five years,

the last two have been the steepest.

Is this really happening?

It was so amazing that I even doubted

that it was actually happening to us

I vaguely wanted things to go well for us,

but I didn't think we would be a massive hit.

I won't be able to forget 2017

I've dreamed of these moments since I was a little kid.

We just wanted to show ARMY how great we are.

That was our goal.

They're happy about the smallest thing

and love what we do.

And that gives us comfort, too.

To that end, I think we're all bound together by fate.

Demostración de la fórmula general para resolver ecuaciones de segundo grado - Duration: 8:37.

Deduction of the very famous formula of

the second-degree equations, here,

right now, on this channel: Mathematics

with Juan.

[Music]

Boys and girls, how are you doing? Look,

when we need to solve an equation

of the second degree that has the following

shape: ax square plus bx + c equal to 0

time and again

it says "oh, let's apply the formula for

solve this equation" and the formula is

the next one, as you well know:

x is equal to less "b" plus less root of "b".

square minus 4 "a" for "c" split from two

"a".

Yes, very nice formula, but from where

Does it come from? Where does it come from? What does it come from given to us?

Of course not. What we are

to do in order to achieve our goal

is going to be taking two small steps and giving

these two little steps we're going to be able to

to write in this expression a binomial to the

square where the "x" is and from there

everything's gonna be a piece of cake. Let's go to

for it, let's go for it.

First step, friends, first step:

I multiply both members by "4a".

"4a" multiplies the first member of this

equation "ax" square plus "bx" + "c", there

is and "4a" multiplies the second member

which is 0. And now I develop this

product: "4a" square "x" square + 4

"abx" + "4ac" equals 0. "4a" for 0 is 0.

now comes the second step. For

second step is going to be to add to both

members "b" square. Sumo here "b"

square and sum here "b" square and

making this sum because I would have what

next:

"4a" square "x" square + "4abx" + 4

"ac" plus "b" square equal to "b" square.

Well, looking at this and looking at this.

some way we should give ourselves

account that here hidden is a binomial

to the square where one of these

terms of the binomial is the incognita, the

"x." And how do we realize

This? Well

we can do it if we have for example

clear in our head

[Music]

remarkable products, for example this

remarkable product: if I have an element

that is adding to another and this is

raised to the square because it can be

write that the first element to the

square plus 2 times the first element

by the second element plus the second

element squared is equivalent to

this binomial squared. This is a

remarkable product, the remarkable product that

we're going to use here. If you don't know anything

of remarkable products, please go to

video above my cocorota.

Let's rewrite, rewrite things that there are

around here in order to make it look like a

a little to this little espresioncilla. Let's go, let's go,

Let's go.

"2ax" squared is the same as this.

there is here,

+ 2 times 2

"ax" for "b" (this and this is the same thing but

written in a slightly more

special) and would have here more "b" square,

plus "b" square, here's the "b" square,

I simply advance it by one position.

And look, I've got "4ac" here.

Well, it bothers me here, so I'll send it.

to the other side. And equal to "b" square

minus "4ac."

Fantastic!

Guys, girls, this is a moment.

important, it is very important in our

objective. It turns out that what's here

is exactly a remarkable product. This

that there is here is equivalent to this that

there are here, so, bearing in mind that

this and this is the same, I'm going to write

all these terms as a binomial to the

square.

This can be written here as "2a".

"x" plus "b"

and all this squared and this

will be equal to "b" square minus "4ac".

Another important step. We have here this

binomial squared. This square

is very annoying, we want to eliminate it. How

Can we eliminate him?

You can put under a root this member

and this member too, but very much so.

Watch out, boys and girls, why don't you

we can forget about one more sign and

a minus sign we always need

in these cases. This is one of the

the most common mistakes made by the

students. Look, I have a video of the

most common errors on top of again

my cocorota, poor thing.

Go and have a look at the "most mistakes

important things that students commit

in math."

Well, having put everything underneath.

sign,

under the sign of the roots

this square is no longer going to be, this

it's not gonna be there anymore. We're going to have

the following,

we're going to have the following, I'm going to have it.

to write here. We'll have "2a"

"x" plus "b" equals plus minus root of

"b" square minus "4ac" and let's remember

that what we want is to get the "x."

we have to clear the "x" from here. Well

Easy, guys. This one, be more "b" then how

Can I eliminate it? For example less

"b" here minus "b" there. Well, I'd have "2ax."

equal to less "b" plus less root of

"b" square minus "4ac" and we are already a, ...,

we are already in the last step, in the

last step. We have here 2a.

Well, divided this member between

"2a," divided this member by "2a."

and doing this one, doing this one, what

we get? For neither more nor less than

our desired formula

to solve second equations

grade: "b" square minus "4ac" split from

"2a". Here we have

what we wanted. Fantastic, fantastic.

Let's see, let's see, it splits a little. Wonderful,

marvelous.

Well, this deduction of

the very famous formula of the equations

of second grade is over.

Boys and girls, I'll see you at the

next video. Subscribe if you want,

if you consider it and see you soon, until

soon. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.

LEAP INTO ARMS MOD! | The Sims 4 (by andrian_m.l) - Duration: 3:18.

Hey folks! How's it going? This is Iron Seagull here, back with another mod

overview for The Sims 4, and this is the Leap Into Arms and Carry Lovingly by

andrian_m.l. And it's a pretty basic mod, it's just two

interactions that are added into the Romantic category, and they're basically

taking animations that were available in very specific parts of the game like

when your sims proposed to one another, and I believe the Check Hotness

interaction from Get To Work is like that as well. So now all Sims can do it,

which I think is how it should be in the first place. So that's why I really

wanted to show this off. And we're here with Dantel and Manfred from my past

Jungle Adventure series. Aaaaand we're just gonna carry lovingly cuz yeah there's

two interactions: one is like if you want another sim to be in your arms then you

do one. And then if you want to jump into another sim's arms then you do the

other one. So yeah there we go there's the carry lovingly. And then, there's leap

into arms, kind of like what you might remember from The Sims 3. There we go.

Then we can leap into Dantel's arms! Yeah! *Laughs* Yeah it's pretty cute

stuff...but yeah that's, that's basically it. It's very simple

straightforward, but I think is a mod that everyone should have, cuz I feel

like the romance section of The Sims 4... it's not as good as it could be. I feel

like after The Sims 2, that aspect of the game has really been dumbed down...

um...but I'm actually gonna try this in first person as well, if I could just

find this again. Yeah, let's leap into arms in first person!

And we'll take the UI away. Dantel: "The towable blah blah blah Clarke" (thanks auto captions LOL)

Yeah that's pretty much it! I will leave a link in the video description below *laughs* if

you want to go download this for yourself. *Laughs* ...That's quite something.

But yeah! Be sure to leave a like or a comment, or even subscribe! Because it

lets me know that you like my channel and my videos. And it helps you keep up to date

more easily with my latest content from The Sims, Sonic The Hedgehog, and more!

So I will talk to you all later, and have a great day! Thanks for watching.

P.T. Did Something Incredible - Duration: 13:05.

PT was initially released back in 2014, and for me and many, was a major highlight of

the year.

It was effectively a demo for what was, at the time, an unannounced Silent Hills game

that Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro were working on.

PT actually stands for "Playable Teaser" because in Kojima's eyes, the best way to

sell a horror game is to give the fans a piece of it.

However, despite the teaser having been downloaded over a million times within its first month

of release, the game was eventually cancelled, and PT was removed from the PlayStation Network.

This meant that if you ever wanted to play PT but didn't download it during this initial

narrow timeframe, you were out of luck.

At least, until recently.

You see, an incredibly talented freelance game developer recently undertook the unbelievably

ambitious job of remaking the game from scratch, and he just finished.

I'll link it down below (https://radiusgordello.itch.io/unreal-pt) so that you can play and if you haven't

played PT yet, do it.

This remake is free and can be downloaded in minutes.

Play it before you watch this video.

You won't be sorry.

My one word of advice, no matter how much you want to, do not google or search online

for how to progress through the game, take your time and solve it on your own.

That's the way it's meant to be played, according to the designer at least.

Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

So, I guess that serves as my spoiler warning, because I'm going to be spoiling EVERYTHING.

Seriously, even somethings you never knew about this game.

Soooo, yeah, let's get into it.

With that having been said, PT still, to this day, blows my mind.

You see, the game is designed in a way unlike almost any other horror experience that I've

had.

Usually, in video game horror, the designers rely on things such as gore, or jump scares

to keep you engaged and to fulfil the needed "horror" obligation.

In essence, if the player doesn't scream out in terror at least 3 times per hour, then

you must be doing something wrong.

However, PT does things differently.

You see, when PT was initially released, it launched on the PlayStation Store as a free

game developed by 7780's Studio, which people had obviously never heard of before.

And so, people would download it, not knowing that it had anything to do with Hideo Kojima

or Silent Hills, and upon launching the game, it would immediately begin.

No loading title screen with a bunch of logos, nothing.

Right into the game.

Kojima actually discussed this in an interview he gave in September of 2014 with the Japan

Times: "It's scary because there's no information.

Nowadays, when people don't know something, they Google it.

They ask on Twitter or Facebook and they get the answer right away.

We live in an age of information.

When that suddenly disappears, that's the scariest thing.

That's why there was no information about who made 'P.T.'

When people began to download it on PlayStation 4, they weren't sure about the game design,

and there wasn't even an action button.

There was no purpose or background and no explanation about the story, and that's

frightening.

I did this on purpose.

That's why I hid my name and title and just let them play."

It's in cases like these where games can take their players' experiences to a whole new

level.

When the designer is willing to forgo vanity and self-promotion for the sake of the end

user's experience.

Kojima didn't want any prompts or HUD elements because even those could be comforting to

the player, where they feel as though the game is helping them.

Because of this, and in addition to the game's vague puzzles, Kojima expected PT to take

most people a week to finish.

However, most people end up finishing the game in one sitting.

I'm assuming this is because most people play the game in groups and that lessens the

terror factor while also providing players a built-in brain storming team to brute force

their way through puzzles.

I wouldn't know anything about that…

Speaking of, let's discuss the puzzles in this game for a moment.

The puzzles are unbelievably vague and leave the player walking back and forth questioning

whether or not they've discovered some glitch.

Hell, there's even a moment in the game where it seems to crash and then reboot, all

while the player is sitting in their oversized chair hugging themselves for comfort.

Again, I would know nothing about that…

Take the last "puzzle" for example.

You've been walking through the hallway for quite a while at this point.

You're conditioned to keep moving forward no matter what.

And so, naturally, Kojima uses this to his advantage.

You must walk into the hallway, wait for the bell to finish its 12th strike for midnight.

You walk exactly ten paces, wait for a baby laugh, freeze, then return to the foyer, see

the mom doing the Harlem shake, wait for her to disappear, hear another baby laugh at some

point, stay frozen, wait for a phone call, and then pick it up without knowing what button

to press in order to do so, and then you hear a voice say "you are chosen," at which

point he hangs up and you continue through the basement door one last time.

That's the puzzle, all of that.

You're supposed to figure out that it's ten paces, and that you have to freeze on

the second baby laugh and that you have to be close enough to the mother to see her but

not too close where she could grab you.

And this is perhaps where the game's only real flaw lies, in that it requires so much

trial and error in order to complete organically.

It makes you feel as though you're helpless.

You start to feel as though you're trapped in an endless loop where you're doing the

same thing over and over again without anything changing but you keep expecting things to

change which is after all Albert Einstein's definition of insanity and oh wait he totally

did that on purpose.

Kojima structured the game's puzzles in this helpless way because it was going to

leave players feeling the same way the character is.

It's groundhog day on steroids and it's great for all the wrong and right reasons.

It doesn't hold your hand because that would be comforting.

If you're playing a horror game, why expect for there to be things that are helpful?

This is the same reason why the inventory system in Resident Evil 7 is so hard to navigate.

Because they want it to be clunky and feel awkward.

It uses something as mundane as the menu to further its quest to reinforce the gameplay

narrative.

With that being said, it should come as no surprise that Hideo Kojima is known for being

very thoughtful when he designs a game.

He takes many things into consideration and uses much of it as direct inspiration.

When designing PT, he said that he didn't want a normal horror experience.

He wanted something that everyone could find terrifying, regardless of social status, or

cultural origin.

This quotation actually comes from an interview that he gave to Kotaku when he was discussing

why he chose to use an L shaped corridor within a fancy house as the game's location.

And this question is fair.

I mean, why not use something like the kitchen area of the house from Resident Evil 7?

Something dilapidated, gross, and more generally scary, at least according to the common definition.

Just imagine being caught up in an infinite loop where you have to continue going through

this dark, gross environment ad infinitum with things constantly changing around you.

It would be horrifying.

Or would it be?

In the medical literature on the topic, the idea of desensitization to phobia inducing

stimuli is still hotly debated.

For instance, many people in the medical community still disagree as to whether or not extensive

exposure to video games leads to an increased level of desensitization towards violence

or physical abuse.

In this instance, the question is whether or not extended exposure to phobic stimuli

could lead to desensitization towards it.

In Kojima's mind, the answer is simple: Yes.

In these interviews, he discusses the need for a broader range of tactics to be employed

in order to receive the best possible experience.

"There are a lot of scary forms of entertainment in the world.

There are horror action games with zombies and grotesque things and so forth.

The real fear isn't from those things.

It's from standing in an empty place, where just to step forward or to turn around is

scary.

What people see depends on their experience or trauma.

Even in the same scenery, some people may see a human shadow, while some people may

see a rock as a human face."

Basically, if you want something truly terrifying, you must attack the mind and not the senses.

Quite often, an assault on the senses happens as a symptom of the true terror but it is

just that: a symptom.

If you just go for the jump scares and the knee jerk reactions, you will end up with

a shallow and uninspired horror game experience that leaves a lot to be desired.

Look at A Quiet Place, the critically acclaimed film directed by John Krasinski.

The first time I watched this film it was in my dark basement with a bunch of friends.

We cued it up in our living room and began to watch it.

Everyone else in the room, probably 4 or 5 people, had seen the movie before but it was

my first time.

The only warning I received was "Pam would be proud," something which you will only

get if you watched the American Office.

Anyway, the film is centered around one key gimmick.

Don't worry I'm not going to spoil anything that you wouldn't already know by watching

the trailer.

In fact, I'll only use footage from the trailer.

Also, let me just say that "gimmick" is not always a bad or negative term.

Rather, it is simply a mechanism by which the artist can convey their message in a novel

or creative way.

Sure, it can, at times, be overused, when you play Five Nights at Freddy's and the

jump scare novelty wears off quickly.

But here, A Quiet Place's gimmick is masterfully integrated into the story, characters, and

the acting.

The gimmick is that the creatures who have dismantled society are blind to the human-visible-spectrum

of light, but are hyper sensitive to sound.

They communicated and navigate the environment by way of loud clicking noises that they use

for echo-location, much like the clickers from the Last of Us.

They can hear a children's toy from presumably a mile away or farther, and so it is of the

utmost importance that everyone stays silent in everything that they do.

They walk around barefoot on sand to reduce the chance of branches snapping or of shoes

scuffing; they communicate through sign language; and they spend the first 40 minutes of the

film in silence without a word being spoken.

The writers even made one of the characters deaf so that you can see what this apocalypse

would be like for someone who fundamentally doesn't understand sound itself, because

after all, she has never experienced it.

It's a fantastically creative idea that is developed thoroughly to the point where

it stands as my favorite horror film of all time and my favorite film of 2018.

But I don't want to get too sidetracked by that, if you'd like to see a break down

of that film and why every part of it is so masterfully crafted, let me know in the comment

section below and maybe I'll make a video on it.

Anyways, the reason that I brought that up to begin with is that this willingness to

forgo the tropes of your industry and genre is what is necessary for horror and art itself

to be successful and effective.

Where A Quiet Place shed the constraints of loud sound and mopey dialogue, PT shed the

necessity of excessive gore and instead focused on ambiance and slowly built anticipation

of dreadful events.

It sounds simple, I know, but it is something that is incredibly difficult to achieve.

To create a world, however small, that has those who inhabit it dreading the very thought

of turning around is nothing short of incredible.

However, despite all of this, Konami shut down production on Kojima's Silent Hills

game and with it went the playable teaser that Kojima created to woo players.

Thankfully, we now have a way of experiencing this small yet thrilling masterpiece again.

But all of this leaves us with one question: what is PT's legacy.

Well, to be honest, I believe its legacy is still being written and determined.

Kojima hasn't had the chance to show off what he had planned for the full game, but

rather moved on to new projects.

The most famous of which, Death Stranding, has many of us keenly interested.

In fact, while I was writing this script, it was announced that Kojima recently showed

the team over at Guerilla Games (who gave him the source code for their engine to be

used in the production of Death Stranding), the first two hours of the game and it left

them all in awe and stunned.

You can even see this yourself, just go look at the Guerrila Games' developers' Twitter

It's nothing but gushing and praise about the game.

All of this to say, PT was a small, unannounced preview of a game we never got, and yet we

are still talking about it (or, at least I am), and we are still playing it despite Konami's

best attempts to prevent it.

That is something that can't be said of many games that are 4, going on five years

old, and certainly not of playable teasers which are almost non-existent themselves.

This much is clear, PT did something incredible.

Thank you for watching.

Honestly and truly, it means the world to me that anyone would watch my videos and ramblings

and so the fact that people, like you, from all around the world do just that, continues

to blow my mind on a daily basis.

Honestly, thank you.

Lakers Trade Talk: One Ideal Anthony Davis Deal Without Kyle Kuzma | Heavy.com - Duration: 6:06.

Lakers Trade Talk: One Ideal Anthony Davis Deal Without Kyle Kuzma | Heavy.com

Although the New Orleans Pelicans have continuously made it known how little their interest in trading Anthony Davis is, some consider a deal to be a foregone conclusion.

I'm not sure I'd go quite that far just yet, but if the Pelicans do choose to deal their young star, they're going to receive a huge haul – even if it's already known Davis won't re-sign in New Orleans.

And the team who can put together arguably the strongest offer possible is still the Los Angeles Lakers.

While a few of the Lakers' young pieces have been up-and-down through the 2018-19 NBA season, the upside for virtually each of them is wildly apparent.

Even still, there's no "even" trade for a player like Davis, but Magic Johnson and company could at least provide a package that would address a few key areas of need for the Pelicans.

Specifically, it would add players capable of producing in a variety of ways and most importantly, options who can put the ball in the hoop consistently.

To this point, it's seemed as though the Lakers have remained intent on keeping second-year forward Kyle Kuzma out of the mix, and this deal does just that.

Let's check out one Lakers trade for Davis which keeps Kuzma in Los Angeles, but still gets the Pelicans a strong return.

Lakers' Potential Trade Package for Anthony Davis.

*Note: Trade courtesy of ESPN's NBA Trade Machine.

To clarify one more time, there's just no deal that will completely replace the value a player like Davis provides.

With that said, the Pelicans would pick up a few interesting pieces here, including point-forward Brandon Ingram, who's proven capable of running the Lakers offense.

Beyond that, he can create his own shot and is knocking down 47 percent of his field goals through 34 games this season.

Before going further with the other players in this potential deal, it's worth noting that the average age of the four players New Orleans would pick up is 22.5 years old.

Ingram and Ivica Zubac are both 21, Josh Hart is 23 and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is 25.

The Pelicans would be acquiring young pieces who can contribute on both ends and also provide outside shooting.

While Caldwell-Pope and Hart have been streaky this season from beyond the arc, both have shown the ability to get hot from outside.

New Orleans would also add a big man in Zubac who's come into his own this season and seems to have a bright future.

Zubac would also play a decent role in helping to replace Davis.

Future Outlook of Deal for Pelicans & Lakers.

On the Lakers side, it's obvious how this looks.

The fact they could potentially keep Kuzma to pair with Davis, LeBron James and Lonzo Ball moving forward would be huge.

They'd immediately boast one of the best starting lineups in the NBA and their title chances would skyrocket in both the current season and many beyond.

The situation for the Pelicans here is interesting, as they have two key players in Hart and Ingram under contract, but then have decisions with Zubac and Caldwell-Pope after the year.

If the team wants to make a big run in free agency, they can let the two players walk without trying to re-sign them.

In turn, it would open up the opportunity for the franchise to hopefully escalate their rebuild after trading Davis.

With the NBA trade deadline approaching, it'll be interesting to see what the Pelicans opt to do with Davis.

But one thing that seems certain is that if they choose to take offers, the Lakers will be at the front of the line looking to swing a deal.

My Life with Presidents and Ideas - Duration: 8:43.

It's January 20th

And I'm invited to be in a television studio to comment on the inaugural address.

Which I do. Almost always indeed had always done in the past.

It was my favorite speech.

It was the speech in which the candidate

sheds his candidate qualities.

And tries to assume presidential qualities.

And I'm sitting in the studio waiting for the speech.

No no it's a shout out.

It's the campaign speech writ large.

It's America first. He says America first.

And I said to myself I really I better take a leave of absence from the presidency.

So several people told me I should write a memoir.

Memoirs are written by generals and big wars.

Memoirs aren't written by bit players.

The man who's known as Mr. Sound Bite around here.

Should we introduce him first? Oh you got to do that.

Presidential scholars who's a Senior Fellow in Governmental Studies of the Brookings Institution.

And political analyst.

Author of many books.

Was on the White House staff of Dwight Eisenhower.

He was only 13 at the time.

Award-winning author is also had the privilege and distinction of writing to

State of the Union addresses.

I want to start off by getting into conflict of interest.

You know you've worked in the Nixon administration

and you did a little work for Jimmy Carter.

And you have been a part of this whole corrupt and miserable system.

So you have a vested interest in keeping this lousy system

like practically everybody else in this town.

For heaven sakes why would you say that?

I haven't been in act of politics in 20 years.

Maybe if I had stayed in active politics

and cared enough to do that,

it would have been different.

Stephen Hess. Stephen Hess. Stephen Hess.

Mr. Hess we welcome you. Thank you Again nice to see you. Thank you.

The most important couple words I wrote for Eisenhower was

what became his last State of the Union message.

Civil Rights is a moral issue he never said that before. Was to me important and

by far the most important thing I ever wrote for a president.

I was actually offered a job in the in the Kennedy administration.

Which was very flattering.

But I felt you the young man can't just jump from one party to the other.

So I turned that down.

I had gone to California to be Richard Nixon's speechwriter when he ran for governor.

A race that he should never have run and ultimately lost.

Would I become the National Chairman of the

White House Conference on Children and Youth.

And I think what an awful job.

Can you imagine being the chairman of a Youth Conference in the middle of the Vietnam War?

Okay.

The Federal Government made things so ugly.

Why should we uglify things?

I go and I pick the best person who does brands in the United States,

Ivan Chermayeff.

The youth conference was going to be even trickier.

But fortunately I had picked a large

advisory group of young people.

Their advice was very good.

They just didn't want to talk to each other.

They wanted to talk to important adults,

business leaders, government leaders, judges as well.

Oprah was there! She was there 17 years old from Tennessee. I didn't know that.

Actually I wrote her a letter. The only place I could write was her TV show.

And I never got an answer.

Of course they wanted the war to end.

So did the president if he could have done it.

They wanted marijuana as carefully defined by

the government and so forth.

They wanted a youth vote.

Mondale set up a committee in Congress to consider their recommendations.

I can't claim that they are responsible for all the things that happened

but they certainly became a force as much as a group of young people could be.

When I got to Brookings we were there to try to make government better.

All of my books were all to be on two areas the presidency and the press which became the media.

I was suddenly a sound bite.

I mean journalists were coming to me and

asking me about all of these people engaged in Watergate.

This was very attracted to Kermit Gordon the head of Brookings.

Who had a communication staff of one.

And I don't think he was very busy.

We were not people who were

supposed to be in the green room waiting to go on evening news programs.

Particularly on the president's part there seemed to be an inpugning of motives.

A loss and a lack of trust of respect.

I think this can only be remembered in history is a very nasty day for America.

More and more people were watching me comment on

all these atrocities that were happening

and it really affected me I mean I started to have nightmares

and in fact I ultimately went on the air and said this is my last day.

I can't come back.

I don't think that many of these witnesses really understand what this country is all about.

The differences and diversities and respect for each other

that makes the country operate.

I don't even like listening to myself talking about it.

I sound like a moral prig.

I'm mad at these people and I sound mean.

And I don't think of myself as a mean person.

So tonight as I leave you

I'm distressed and I'm burned out

and I salute you for performing a very useful though

distressing service and I wish you fortitude and a strong stomach.

Nixon had been good to me and was an interesting person that I cared about.

And suddenly I could not get over Watergate.

Other people were getting over it one way or another.

I could not forgive him.

I did not go to his funeral

I've known presidents but they've been complicated people

and that's how my future with Richard Nixon ended

I'd like to think that this is a failure of men and not of the system.

I'd like to think that we have a system that for 200 years hasn't produced a Watergate.

I would suggest on the other hand that when only 55% of the people vote

and after all voting is the most elemental and simple obligation of citizenship

well there are politicians who are hearing

that people aren't listening

and hearing that people aren't watching

and they get the message

Why You Should Make the Choice to Be More Intentional in Your Business - Duration: 7:59.

Hey, Amber Vilhauer here, your online business development expert and during

today's Fast Track video, I want to talk to you about being very intentional with

each action that you take in your business.

Being intentional is something that I have overlooked many times in the past,

right? Sometimes I'm just almost operating in this frenzy, and I have so

much going on, and I have so little time to get it all done, and then all of a

sudden, I'm almost operating in this chaotic mindset and I'm not even aware

of it. Then I start doing tasks and sending an email here and making a video

there, and I'm on a Facebook live, no, I'm on social media. Now I'm having a sales

call and preparing for a speech. Whatever it is, and I can lose sight of why I'm

doing each of these activities. And when you sit down before you do the activity

and you think, What is my intention for sending out this email? What's my goal?

Why does this email matter, or how do I want to make the person on the other end

of this email feel? What are the ramifications of sending this email, how

can I, you know, how can this email position me for where I want to go and

hit my goals this year, etc. Now I'm not saying you have to spend 30 minutes

thinking about each task before you do them, but when you do start slowing down

just a hair and you start thinking about why you're doing each of your

tasks and the intention that you want to set forth with that task, it will be a

complete and total game changer for you. First of all, you'll start getting, you

know, better positive and mental clarity. You will start feeling more purposeful

and better about the work that you do, and that will come back to you. People

will just feel this shift when they listen to your video, when they receive

your email, when they're in the audience watching you perform on stage. They're

going to receive your content in a different way. You will develop a

different kind of energy and passion and purpose behind the content, even if it's

a very simple email telling a team member that, hey, I need

something done on a website. By thinking about the intention for that email, how

do I want that person to feel, well I want them to feel like a valued team

member. I want them to feel like I really appreciate the fact that I can count on

their support and that they work for me quickly and effectively, or I really want

them to feel like they are recognized for being an expert in their field. So

when they get the task done and they let me know that, I'm going to take all of

you know, 30 seconds, of my day to really give thanks and to tell that person how

much I appreciate it, right? So this is what I mean about being more intentional.

I could even bring that up as it relates to recording video. If you've followed me

for any period of time, you know that I am a firm believer in creating weekly

tip videos like this that you deliver out to your audience on a weekly basis

because it builds human connection, it raises your level of credibility and

authority and impact and influence and it comes back to you in ways of

creating lifestyle and income. It just all it elevates your whole business

experience by creating these weekly tip videos. Being intentional with them,

thinking about one person that's sitting on the other end watching the video and

how do you want them to feel? Do you want them to feel empowered? Do you want them

to take action, and how do you want them to take action? So being very intentional

that I'm going to empower or encourage or educate people to do X Y Z as a

result of watching my video, and why does that matter? Why does that matter

not just to you because you want another opt-in or another sale, but why does it

matter to them and what will they gain in their life? What will it mean to the

quality of their relationships or the level of their income or their level of

joy? Their level of satisfaction with their life. What is

this action going to mean for them? Even if it is often from my 50-minute

training video on how to increase your website conversion, which is on our

website, what would that, what would that mean?

Not just for me because I get a new email opt-in, but if somebody adopts the

ideas that I talked about at NGNG Enterprises.com on that optin offer, 50

minute video training on how to increase your website conversion. If they adopt

those ideas, they will get more opt-in offers, they will get more sales, and what

would that mean for the business owner? It would raise their level of confidence,

right? It would give them more income to invest back into spreading their message

to help more people. What would that make them feel like? I can guarantee that most

business owners on the planet won't ever spend this kind of time to be very

intentional, understanding the great importance, the why behind instructing

people to do certain things. And I promise you that if you start to do this

as a habit, right, every activity, all of the activities throughout the day.

The first day it might feel like you've just really exercised your brain,

trust me, I know. But then, all of a sudden, it will become like second nature. It

will be subconscious to you, and all of a sudden, with the connections that you

have with people to communication those relationships, it will be rooted in

something much deeper and more meaningful and much more intentional. And

imagine how that is going to start to shift the rate at which people share you

to they're following, their friends and family, right? Word-of-mouth advertising.

Or imagine the rate at which people will feel connected to you and trust you and

then want to hire you to help them with whatever services it is that you have to

offer, right? So today's message is really about making a choice to be more

intentional. It's not about doing as many things as possible so I can feel like

I'm being productive. No. Why am i doing what I'm doing, and how do I want to feel

doing it? How do I want other people to feel when they are receiving whatever it

is that I'm doing, right? I challenge you to do that today. If you liked

BV35 How to Know What Your Offer Is - Duration: 9:44.

In this video, I'm going to talk about the product portfolio and the importance of why

you need to understand what products you have and what price model you have for them.

Hi Matts Rehnstrom here, Shaper of Business Excellence.

Welcome to this series where I'm going through all these important business components and

the relationship between them.

Why?

Because if you could understand them, you understand the relationship in between them,

then you can start working with them.

And you will excel as an organization in each and every one of these components which will

make you or it will help you take a huge leap I would say to business excellence.

Because all these are important for you to be excellent in your business.

We have been talking about a lot of these green components that are higher level components

where the management top management team are involved and maybe the board as well with

business idea and strategy and strategy goals and all of those high-level things.

And those are very important for then the high level in the organization to understand

and to work with, And what that will give is clarity and that will be pushed down into

the organization.

So people working with the details understand the big picture and the big WHY and how and

who and all those questions.

Last video I talked about the business model and if you haven't seen that video by the

way, you can always find it here in YouTube if that's where you're watching this video

or on my blog is that, if that's where you're watching this video.

So you can find the previous videos there so you can catch up if you haven't seen them

before.

But anyway then the business model and in the business model I talked about the value

proposition and the importance of having an understanding of what it is that you deliver.

What value you are creating and that value we talked about as well in the business idea,

but now we talk about it in the business model and we detail it into what I'm going to talk

about today then.

And that's the product portfolio and the product portfolio is then if you open up the product

portfolio where you will see that it contains all the products you have and it may have

several layers of products.

But you also know then what to charge for what product and also if you're transparent

with the product catalog and the product portfolio to your clients, then they know what to expect.

And that is that is clarity as I said, you are transparent, so it's clarity and clarity

gives us peace of mind because now they know what they can ask us for and we know what

we should deliver or can deliver to them.

So in the clarity matrix, which is also another video that I had earlier then we talk about

the importance of having clarity in order to have the peace of mind and then to be able

to focus on the details in our business and to excel in those.

I see too many organizations that they don't really know what their product catalog is

all about.

It could be either that they don't really understand.

They have never thought about it.

They, of course, they do their thing every day because they deliver their value to their

clients, but they miss a lot of things.

They leave a lot of money on the table or they miss a lot of services that they could

do through their clients because they haven't gone through in detail all the products that

they have.

That is one way I see that you don't really understand your, your catalog because you

haven't listed it.

The other way is what I'm seeing is that they have too many products there.

It's chaos because the list of products just goes on and on and on, and it's not built

in a structured way, which means that neither you or the clients know, what can I order?

What can I get here?

It's like going into, open up a door into a building and say, "Okay, what can, what

services can I get here and what can I buy?"

And if you don't have that clarity, then the customers can't have that clarity either.

If you don't have.

So you need to begin with having your clarity.

You need to make sense of everything that you do and then you can tell the clients what

do you can do for them.

The other thing that I see is that people don't really understand the concept of products

and as I divide products, yes, to make it easier, I divide products into a service.

A product can be a service, so the service is where I do something for someone.

It could be within elderly care for example.

I go home and I helped the older person with whatever they need, take a bath, cook food

for them or helping them, cleaning their kitchen or whatever service they need.

Then I gave that service and service also, if you call me and I gave you an answer or

if you email me and I gave you an answer.

Teaching is a service.

But the other part of the product could be goods, something tangible, something that

I give you.

So in education and training for example, then I might give you a book.

I might give you, um, a folder that is goods because it's hardware, you can touch it.

And for elderly care goods could be a pressure mat that someone has or it could be alarm

clock that someone not an alarm clock waking them up, but an alarm on their wrist an alarm

where in an emergency, press it and get help.

That is goods because now I give that to them and the services to maybe tune it so it works.

Tell them how it works, but the hardware, the alarm on their wrist, that is goods.

So now you understand then about the service and goods and that brings us to that a product

can be then both service and goods.

And for example, if you go into any restaurant and you're going to have lunch, then you have

both service where you can order food and you are and they deliver the food to you but

also the food itself does it taste well or not?

So that is the goods.

They deliver the food but the service is how they present it to you.

So for a fast food restaurant for example, you have the service, it could be quick, it

could be nice and the food could be good as well, hopefully.

So this is what I divide then when I'm talking about a product and that is what you need

then to do in your product catalog.

You need to first of all identify what services do you have, what, what a goods do you have,

and then you create the products out of it.

Because as I said, giving, serving someone food is both serving and food, which means

that it's a combination of them both.

I don't pay a $10 for the food and $5 for the service if you don't count tip for that.

But otherwise it's not in the in the price table you can see, okay, this is what it costs,

this is the food and if I want to have good service, I need to pay for.

If I want to have bad service, I don't pay for service.

That is not how it works because the restaurant has made its choice about this is the level

of service we should have.

So that's why service is included in the product then.

And the product also contains the goods, the food.

So you need to go through this and identify all of these, um, services and goods that

you have and bind them together if necessary, into products and then also be clear of how

you charging for them.

Is it something that I can just buy?

I can buy this and it costs $10 or 10 euros.

Or is it something that is just coming along?

So if you do this, you get this, or if you have already paid this much for a yearly service

agreement with us, you have it.

We have a yearly service agreement and then you get this, this, this and that.

So then by understanding your product portfolio, you will understand what you can deliver to

whom and what price you have for it, what offer you can make.

With that said, then we're moving over to the next component in the next video.

And if you'd like to have a copy of this poster, you can have it for free just by clicking

the link below and it will take you to a page where you can download it and it's free, as

I said.

And with that, then let's go and shape our business for excellence

Royal REBEL: How Prince Harry's WILD antics STALLED Prince Charles' wedding to Camilla - Today News - Duration: 3:34.

Charles and Camilla have suffered many setbacks over the life of their on and off romance and in the shorter, but no less tumultuous period of their engagement

The announcement of their wedding hit problems from the start, as it was rushed out after news of it had been leaked to the Evening Standard

Then the venue had to change from Windsor Castle to a registry office, because the royal organisers hadn't realised that the castle wasn't licensed to do civil weddings

Queen Elizabeth II's 'biggest fault' REVEALED: 'It is NONSENSE' Princes Charles' SHOCK joke REVEALED: 'It would have been easier to

After all this, it's no wonder that Prince Charles biographer, Penny Junor, expressed relief that the postponement was only 24 hours

According Ms Junor: " If they'd postponed it for any longer, I think it would have been very unfortunate

"It's been a difficult run up to this wedding, fraught with problems, and I think the sooner it is over and done with, we'll all be able to hear the sigh of relief

"I mean, clearly the stress was getting to him, as we saw at Klosters when he [Charles] muttered under his breath about 'bl**dy journalists'

" However, in "Charles & Camilla: Portrait of a Love Affair" by Gyles Brandreth, the royal author suggested Charles and Camilla's wedding announcement was delayed because of Prince Harry's antics

Writing in the book Mr Brandreth said: "Sunday January 23, 2005, news of the engagement was about to break – but the newspapers had not caught on

"The Mail on Sunday reported that Charles was to make an official visit to the United States in the autumn and was proposing to take Camilla with him

"The broad details had all been agreed and everything had been settled with the Queen over Christmas

" However, Mr Brandreth continued: "Indeed, we might have already had the announcement had it not been for the New Year brew ha ha over young Harry being photographed at a fancy dress party wearing a World War 2 Afrika Korps uniform"

The DARK TRAGEDY of GLASS - Ending & Connections Explained - Duration: 12:03.

Audiences are split on whether Glass, the third part of M Night Shyamalan's grounded

superhero trilogy, is a fitting conclusion to the series.

Yippee-ki-yay, movie lovers, I'm Jan and in this video I'm explaining everything you need

to know about the ending to Glass and that surprise twist, plus some crucial details

and hidden messages you might have missed.

Obviously, spoilers ahead, so take care if you haven't seen the movie yet.

Twist endings are M Night Shyamalan's trademark and Glass is no exception with an ending that's

likely to be divisive among the audience.

The final showdown that Mr Glass, aka Elijah Price, has set up outside the hospital sees

The Beast take on David Dunn, who's known as The Overseer.

Elijah wants to reveal the existence of superheroes to the world, but when Kevin and David are

both killed by guards called in by Sarah Paulson's Dr Staple, the movie reveals that Dr Staple

has actually been working for a secret society that suppresses super-powered individuals

and aims to keep their existence under wraps.

The idea for this twist goes back to 1999 when Shyamalan was working on the script for

Unbreakable, and among his file of notes for that film, he wrote down the question, 'How

come nobody knows about these superheroes?'

The answer, of course, is this secret society which has been concealing the existence of

superheroes in the world for around 10,000 years and this revelation basically confirms

Elijah's comic book theory that he expressed in Unbreakable:

"The Egyptians drew on walls."

"Countries all over the world still pass on knowledge through pictorial forms."

"I believe comics are a form of history that someone somewhere felt or experienced."

Despite Kevin and David having been murdered in Glass, Dr Staple explains to Elijah that

comics are wrong about secret groups being evil because the secret society she works

for doesn't choose sides.

Rather, their goal is to maintain balance and order in society, as it's not fair to

have gods among ordinary human beings.

The problem, as Dr Staple sees it, is that whenever one super-powered individual pops

up, his or her opposite also then appears, and the situation escalates.

The Unbreakable, Split and Glass trilogy demonstrates that perfectly.

Unbreakable was the origin story of David Dunn as a super-strong and powerful hero;

and Split, which was a secret sequel, was about the emergence of the super-villain The

Beast.

These two characters then face off directly in spectacular fashion at the beginning of

Glass, with Dunn hunting down and battling the Beast when he rescues the cheerleaders

kidnapped by the Horde.

By the way, the showdown between these two in Glass was foreshadowed all the way back

in Unbreakable when the young Elijah unwrapped his first comic book "The Battle With Jaguaro".

Dunn, who wears a green poncho, is represented by the caped hero on the left and the Beast,

aka the Horde, whose signature colour is yellow, is Jaguaro on the right.

Interestingly, in Glass, we discover that Elijah is not only responsible for David's

existence as a super-powered individual but also for the Beast because the train derailment

that Elijah caused in Unbreakable, and which only David survived, also killed Kevin's father,

which in turn led to the creation of the Horde inside Kevin.

Elijah proudly proclaims that by engineering this event he's a mastermind who creates superheroes.

And in another curious connection between David and the Beast, David's son, Joseph,

went to the same school as Casey and the two girls abducted in Split.

Now, the way the secret society in Glass operates is that they move from city to city identifying

super-powered individuals and they have a process for dealing with them which Dr Staple

claims is "humane".

They begin by gaslighting the individuals, in other words, trying to convince them that

they have delusions of grandeur as Dr Staple attempted to do with Elijah, David and Kevin

at the psychiatric hospital.

She almost succeeded with David and the Horde, with David beginning to doubt his powers and

Patricia telling Elijah that her "horde is losing faith".

The second stage that Dr Staple employs with individuals like Mr Glass, who refuse to be

convinced, is to perform a kind of lobotomy and remove or eliminate a part of their brain.

She attempts the medical procedure on Elijah, but unbeknown to her, when he broke out of

his cell the night before, he went into the surgery room and sabotaged the equipment so

that it didn't do anything to him during the procedure.

The final stage the society undertakes in the event of the first two failing is to completely

eliminate the individual which is what happens when David and Kevin are taken out by the

society's henchmen.

By the way, there was a chilling bit of foreshadowing in one of the Glass trailers of how Dr Staple

held David's Dunn hand and watched on while he was drowned in the puddle.

"So you're not going to shake my hand, and let me walk out of here."

And it was even foreshadowed in the scene from Unbreakable when David says to Elijah

"Two skinny little kids were fooling around in a pool dunking me and I swallowed some

water."

"They didn't know it, and it almost killed me."

"Heroes don't get killed like that."

"Normal people do right?"

And if you're unclear how the Beast could be killed with a bullet after he survived

two at close range in Split, what happened was that Casey embraced the Beast and through

her connection with Kevin and by saying his full name repeatedly, Kevin was able to take

the light from the Beast.

That meant that Kevin no longer had super-thick skin like the Beast, so when the sniper shot

him, it injured him as it would any ordinary human being.

In terms of who the secret society might represent, it's not made explicit in the movie, but there

is a hint via the shamrock tattoo that Dr Staple, the henchmen and the members who meet

at the restaurant have near their wrist.

Clovers were considered magical plants in Celtic culture and there are legends of Saint

Patrick using a three-leafed clover to explain what the Christian holy trinity symbolised.

If we think of clovers as having a magical or spiritual meaning then the secret society's

clover tattoos may signify how the organisation is dedicated to suppressing magical or god-like

powers in society.

Shyamalan himself, in fact, has said that "What makes us different is our strength"

but Dr Staple "believes in the status quo."

"She believes in the way that it is right now, and she can't see past that."

There's still one final twist in this story, and although Dr Staple told Elijah his theory

was right all along, it seemed like she'd contained the situation at the hospital, even

if it meant Elijah, Kevin and David all ended up dead.

However, as we know, Elijah is a Lex Luthor-style genius, and even calls himself a mastermind.

And the night he broke out of his cell after switching his sedatives for aspirin, he reprogrammed

the security cameras so they'd send all recorded footage offsite.

Then during the breakout, Elijah deliberately took The Beast through the basement as he

knew that area was monitored with cameras and that the parking lot fight would all be

caught on camera too.

In the final scenes of the movie, Elijah's mother, Joseph and Casey receive the footage

and agree to upload the evidence to the internet for anyone to see.

A couple of hours later, they meet at a location that's been crucial throughout the trilogy:

the train station, and the movie ends there as we see the footage start to go viral, popping

up on people's phones and devices and on the TV news.

And in a nice little final nod to the three fallen supers, at the end of the film, Mrs

Price, Casey, and Joseph are each dressed in the signature colours of Elijah, purple,

Kevin, yellow, and David, green.

As these scenes play, we hear Elijah's voiceover telling us "there are unknown forces that

don't want us to realise what we are truly capable of."

"I believe that if everyone sees what just a few people become when they wholly embrace

their gifts, others will awaken."

"Whoever these people are who don't want us to know the truth, today they lose."

The real message that Shyamalan seems to want to tell us in Glass is that difference is

a strength and extraordinary abilities are within the grasp of many people.

On top of that, the three films, Unbreakable, Split and Glass, exist to prove there can

be grounded and realistic superhero stories that are different to the more fantastical

superhero stories we typically see in franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and many

other comic book movies.

In Unbreakable and Glass, Elijah always emphasises that although real-life superheroes exist,

they look very different to those in comic books.

"The thing to notice about this piece... the thing that makes it very, very special...

is its realistic depiction of its figures."

"When the characters reached the magazine... they were exaggerated... as always happens."

"It's all right to be afraid, David... because this part won't be like a comic book."

"Real life doesn't fit into little boxes that were drawn for it."

In Glass, at one point, Elijah says, "this is not a cartoon […] this is the real world"

and, just before Pierce is killed by the Beast, he jokes that "this is where they paint you

with big eyes and bubbles of confusion above your head."

The Osaka Tower where Elijah threatens to stage the final showdown is referred to as

a "true marvel", in a wink to the famous comic-book publisher and movie studio.

So, when it's revealed that Elijah's threat is just a ruse and the showdown was always

planned in the less showy setting of the hospital car park, Shyamalan is deliberately pointing

out that this isn't meant to be a big-budget superhero blockbuster with an epic CGI finale

where the hero goes home after defeating the villain.

This choice is perhaps one of the reasons why some viewers haven't enjoyed the movie's

ending.

After all, some fans have been waiting nearly two decades for the sequel to Unbreakable

and since then we've all been exposed to a deluge of superhero movies, and big-budget

comic book movies are typically the most hyped tentpole releases right now.

Glass kicked off with a thrilling start as Dunn rescued the cheerleaders from The Beast,

but the rest of the movie played out more like a slow-burn psychological thriller.

And I suspect some in the audience were indeed hoping for the final showdown to take place

on the Osaka Tower.

So, when instead two of the main characters are killed in a much more understated fashion

by some nameless henchman from a secret society, that's bound to provoke a reaction.

The thing is, though, that's what the movie wants to do; it's pointing out that real-life

heroes and villains don't have these epic fights, and these characters aren't invincible.

The low-key nature of the final showdown in Glass is also in keeping with the feel of

both Unbreakable and Split, so it would have been odd for the film to suddenly pivot to

an epic climax on top of a shiny skyscraper.

The movie intends to subvert flashy superhero tropes and instead prove that the big spectacles

we see on film or in comic books are just an exaggerated version of more realistic yet

still extraordinary powers people can have in real life.

In light of this, it's also interesting that on her desk, Dr Staple has a book by Euripides,

a playwright in ancient Greece whose tragedies are often noted for their realistically drawn

characters, psychological realism, and mythical heroes portrayed as ordinary people living

through extraordinary situations.

Glass doesn't achieve the brilliance of Unbreakable and falls into Shyamalan's trap of inserting

too much exposition into the mouths of his characters.

There's an overabundance of explaining literally what we've just seen or are about to see on

screen, for example, when Mrs Price comes on to tell us that this is "what they call

the showdown", it seems a pretty redundant line to have in a movie released in 2019,

given that almost everyone will be familiar with comic book movies by now.

And Shyamalan has some great actors in this film, but his insistence on sticking firmly

to his script and generally not allowing actors to improvise, also seems to lead to some rather

clunky lines.

Something that fans are inevitably interested in is whether Glass represents the final chapter

in the Unbreakable and Split universe.

Obviously, all the main characters are dead, however, the final scene implies we'll see

new heroes and villains emerge and any of those could be explored in future movies or

a TV show.

So far, Shyamalan has said he's not particularly keen for another follow up as, with the exception

of this trilogy, he generally doesn't do sequels.

Glass is also supposed to be a satisfying conclusion to the series and, for me, it seems

in keeping with the idea of a grounded superhero series not to expand it out into a much larger

franchise.

Now, what do you think about the end of Glass?

And what were your favourite or least favourite parts of the movie?

WHY YOU NEED TO BUILD AN EMAIL LIST IN 2019!! - Duration: 12:51.

Today I'm gonna break down why it's absolutely crucial that you build an email list for your business now guys

It doesn't matter what business you're in even if you're not a digital marketer online market or anything like that

You still need to build an email list for your business?

And yes, it is 2019 and a lot of people are saying the email marketing is dead

But I want to break down today five different reasons of why you should still build an email list

Even though it is 2019 even though people say it's dead which is not completely dead guys. It's dying a little bit slowing down

Definitely, but here's the 5 reasons why you should still be focusing most of your marketing efforts on building an email list

And for those you guys wondering like well Jason

How do I actually build an email list that's gonna be a video for another day

but basically all you do is run a Facebook ad to a

landing page or a lead capture page basically the same thing and then you get that person to

opt-in with their name phone number email address

So on that landing page, you're basically offering something of value in exchange for their contact information from there

You're able to go through and have an email follow-up a text message follow-up a phone call fall

Depending on what business you're in and so that's the simple thing Facebook ad Instagram Adam

whatever type of ad whatever you're using to a

Landing page and you can grab their name phone email just their email just their email phone their name and their email

Really?

It depends on what you want to collect but just know the more information you're going through and collecting the lower your conversion rates now

Guys, this video is not about how to go through and build an email list

There's a million videos out there online

But this is why you should still be building an email list in 2019. And the first reason why is because

Email out of all the audiences. I've got a facebook messenger list. I've got a text message list

I've got an email list. I've got all these different platforms. It is the number one

Revenue generating source when it comes to going through and blasting out a marketing message

Blasting out a promo or anything else which is kind of ironic because if you look at the open rates and the click-through rates on

Facebook Messenger and even on text messaging you're gonna have like a 95 percent or more the people that actually receive those message

messages that actually open those and then you're gonna have a lot higher click-through rate a lot more people clicking on those as

opposed to an email whereas with email

usually it's gonna be about 15 to 25 percent of the people that you sent it to are actually opening those emails and

Then even fewer obviously that are actually clicking on the links inside of your emails

However with every single promo that I have done in 2018 email by far

Outperforms anything on facebook Messenger and I haven't really messed with text messaging just because text seems sometimes a little bit too intimate

And it can kind of annoy people even Facebook messenger can get to that point a little bit

So you just kind of got to know what is socially acceptable and what's not and honestly

I stopped sending any marketing promo materials via Facebook messenger just because I

Just figured it doesn't work that well and is a lot better for just educational content

Let him know of a new video like this video

But the reason why I think that email is so much better when it comes to actually going through and generating sales for your business

is because when someone is going to their email

They're almost looking at it as like a to-do item to do this a checklist

something that they just got to go through and like

Hit every single item

And so when they're going through and clicking on your email if they click not obviously there's only going to be 15 to 25% They

Click, but the people they go through and click

they're focusing their attention on that email for that given time and they're treated almost like a

checklist on a to-do item that they have and so they're giving a lot more thought a lot more attention to

That email and what you have to say as opposed to a Facebook message

Yes, you get a little notification

Yes

everyone clicks that so that the notification goes

away

and they open it just because they don't want to have that red thing there because if you do

You're just gonna go crazy. Just like oh man, I gotta click that just so it goes away

At least that's how I am. I don't know about you guys and then because they're not in that like to-do list checklist mentality

They're not really giving that message that you sent the same amount of thought as your email that you sent

So a lot of times all they're really doing is just clicking on it

Just that notification go away and sometimes they might read it. Yeah, they might click on it

There's a lot of people actually click on it. But the thing is is usually they're not in the right mental state

So number one guys

Email is still the biggest revenue

generating source out of all of the different audiences all the different lists that I have in my business number two reason why you should

Be building email is still in 2019

Even though some people say that email marketing is completely dead

But it's not is that you can leverage that to build other audiences to help you grow your business

So what I've done and you guys can see right here on my youtube channel

And obviously I haven't grown crazy big in the last year

so but I was able to go over to over 20,000 subscribers here on YouTube and a large part of that is because

Anytime I launched a new video that obviously pertain to what my list is about

Then I would go through and send an email to those people and say hey by the way, subscribe to my youtube channel

so you're able to go through and build other audiences and it's the same way that I've gone through and built my

Facebook group to over 7,000 members inside of that

I haven't really focused on building that for probably about the last eight to nine months

and so that probably would be a lot bigger if I would keep on focusing on that and I've also been able to build my

facebook Messenger lists to about

16,000 people and it's all by simply

leveraging the email marketing list and as you guys know today that

Audiences are basically king

If you have an audience, then you can pretty much push whatever product behind that audience

obviously if they know I can trust you and obviously if that product makes sense to that list and

You're just gonna have that much easier of a time getting started with business

Whereas somebody that starts out in business like me a few years ago where I've got this product

I've got this service, but I have no audience. No lists nothing

It's gonna be a lot harder for that person to ramp up and get started

So if you have that audience

You've got the email list you're able to leverage and build other lists like Facebook messenger a text message list

You can build a YouTube channel

you can build a Facebook group and you can just go through and

Leverage this to go and build a lot of other community

And even an Instagram following which I don't focus on Instagram

but a lot of people love focus on Instagram so you can use that to get a lot of followers over there on Instagram to

Be in front of your ideal target

Audience now number three and if you guys have been following me my channel here for a little while

You know, I love Facebook ads I talk a lot about Facebook ads

I invest a lot of money into Facebook ads and if you have an email list

If you have an email list of let's say 100 or 500 thousand

Whatever number of people what you can do is upload that email list into Facebook and say hey

This is the custom audience and I just want my ads to show to these exact people

So now we're starting to have this like on the president's exposure where we've got an email list

So we're sending emails maybe and then we're going and we're saying hey Facebook. These are the people on my email list

So these are the people I want to show my facebook ads to so you're now showing them Facebook Ads

Instagram ads you're in their email INBOX and then what you can also do from that custom audience once you upload that

Existing email list is you can create a look-alike audience of the people on that email list

So basically want to look like audiences is saying hey Facebook

I want you to go find people that look just like this person. There may be the same age the same

interest the same

demographic say I'd like there a lot of

Similarities to your existing clientele and then you're able to go and have a bigger audience that you can run your Facebook ads to

Ultimately building your email list and just having everything grow all together

Now the fourth reason why it's very similar to the Facebook look like audiences

But if you've ever run Google Ads Google AdWords is they have something called

Similar audiences, which is literally the same exact thing as Facebook look-alike audiences

It's just Google's version of the look like audience is called

Similar audiences and you can also upload that contact information. So all those emails and have that custom audience

So now you literally have this omnipresent exposure online. You are sending emails to this person

Okay, you have your Facebook Ads showing to these people you have your Instagram ads you're hitting up up on YouTube

You're hitting them up on the Google search in all these different places even on other blogs

They're visiting and so literally guys this is the core

this is like the heartbeat to go in and having all this other stuff around it work and all your

Retargeting and then not to mention with those custom audiences inside of Google AdWords as well

You can create the similar audiences which obviously give you a lot bigger market to go through and advertise to now the fifth

reason, I would highly recommend still going through and building your email list in 2019 is

Because it's so easy to go through and test new offers new ideas new products new services new met

whatever a hundred percent for free

So let's say you go through and you get an idea for some new product or some new offering they wanted like oh I want

To go through and see if people would be interested in this

Well before you even make the product you can one go ask your email list or if you made the product you can go through

And sell it to your email list blast out one email or a couple of emails and see how the conversions go

and so or like if you're let's say gonna go do a

Webinar or a sales video or something like that you have this list of people that instead of having to go through and pay money

For Facebook, Ads Google Ads or anything like that

You send one email out to this email list

whether it's a thousand people ten thousand twenty thousand people and you're able to instantly get feedback on your messaging how the

actual offer is gonna convert and the price points a lot of

Information before you actually take that offer and that product that idea to cold traffic

so any new product or service you're gonna go through and

Mark it if you have an email list more than likely they're gonna know who you are

They're gonna hopefully like you and hopefully trust you and so those conversion rates are gonna perform

Extremely well as opposed to cold traffic so you're able to go through and if you have crazy good numbers crazy good conversion rates

with your warm audience with that email list then you know

Once you take it to that cold market and start running Facebook ads or Google Ads at scale

You know, you're gonna have a pretty good chance of having a winner

Whereas if you go through and you launch it to this email list

Which remember it's a hundred percent free because all you got to do is blast out a couple of emails to test this offer

and it performs kind of mediocre or

Performs at a level that you would be fine with that cold traffic

Then you know you probably have a dud because once you actually do take it to cold traffic

It's gonna perform a lot worse than how it performed with your actual email list, right?

so quick recap guys

Number one email is still the number one driving revenue source

if you're gonna go through and launch something number one audience to go through and market new products to

Number two, you're able to leverage that audience to go build other audiences

facebook Messenger Facebook groups YouTube subscribers

Instagram followers or anything else you're trying to go through and grow and leverage to get that omnipresent on

line and then number three you're able to use it to create Facebook ad custom audiences to market to those people retarget them and

Create look like audiences number four similar type of thing with Google AdWords

You're able to create those custom audiences and then those similar audiences to go through and grow and expand things and then number five

It's easy to go through and test new offers with literally zero

start-up costs so really guys

I hope you enjoy this video of my

explanation of why I

Still think it is

Crucial matter what business you're in if you want a digital marketing agency

If you're a real estate agent a mortgage broker

Literally, whatever business you're in you need to go through and build an email list with that. So guys

I hope you enjoy this video. If you did go ahead give it a thumbs up. I would greatly appreciate it
