Today I'm gonna break down why it's absolutely crucial that you build an email list for your business now guys
It doesn't matter what business you're in even if you're not a digital marketer online market or anything like that
You still need to build an email list for your business?
And yes, it is 2019 and a lot of people are saying the email marketing is dead
But I want to break down today five different reasons of why you should still build an email list
Even though it is 2019 even though people say it's dead which is not completely dead guys. It's dying a little bit slowing down
Definitely, but here's the 5 reasons why you should still be focusing most of your marketing efforts on building an email list
And for those you guys wondering like well Jason
How do I actually build an email list that's gonna be a video for another day
but basically all you do is run a Facebook ad to a
landing page or a lead capture page basically the same thing and then you get that person to
opt-in with their name phone number email address
So on that landing page, you're basically offering something of value in exchange for their contact information from there
You're able to go through and have an email follow-up a text message follow-up a phone call fall
Depending on what business you're in and so that's the simple thing Facebook ad Instagram Adam
whatever type of ad whatever you're using to a
Landing page and you can grab their name phone email just their email just their email phone their name and their email
Really?
It depends on what you want to collect but just know the more information you're going through and collecting the lower your conversion rates now
Guys, this video is not about how to go through and build an email list
There's a million videos out there online
But this is why you should still be building an email list in 2019. And the first reason why is because
Email out of all the audiences. I've got a facebook messenger list. I've got a text message list
I've got an email list. I've got all these different platforms. It is the number one
Revenue generating source when it comes to going through and blasting out a marketing message
Blasting out a promo or anything else which is kind of ironic because if you look at the open rates and the click-through rates on
Facebook Messenger and even on text messaging you're gonna have like a 95 percent or more the people that actually receive those message
messages that actually open those and then you're gonna have a lot higher click-through rate a lot more people clicking on those as
opposed to an email whereas with email
usually it's gonna be about 15 to 25 percent of the people that you sent it to are actually opening those emails and
Then even fewer obviously that are actually clicking on the links inside of your emails
However with every single promo that I have done in 2018 email by far
Outperforms anything on facebook Messenger and I haven't really messed with text messaging just because text seems sometimes a little bit too intimate
And it can kind of annoy people even Facebook messenger can get to that point a little bit
So you just kind of got to know what is socially acceptable and what's not and honestly
I stopped sending any marketing promo materials via Facebook messenger just because I
Just figured it doesn't work that well and is a lot better for just educational content

But the reason why I think that email is so much better when it comes to actually going through and generating sales for your business
is because when someone is going to their email
They're almost looking at it as like a to-do item to do this a checklist
something that they just got to go through and like
Hit every single item
And so when they're going through and clicking on your email if they click not obviously there's only going to be 15 to 25% They
Click, but the people they go through and click
they're focusing their attention on that email for that given time and they're treated almost like a
checklist on a to-do item that they have and so they're giving a lot more thought a lot more attention to
That email and what you have to say as opposed to a Facebook message
Yes, you get a little notification
Yes
everyone clicks that so that the notification goes
away
and they open it just because they don't want to have that red thing there because if you do
You're just gonna go crazy. Just like oh man, I gotta click that just so it goes away
At least that's how I am. I don't know about you guys and then because they're not in that like to-do list checklist mentality
They're not really giving that message that you sent the same amount of thought as your email that you sent
So a lot of times all they're really doing is just clicking on it
Just that notification go away and sometimes they might read it. Yeah, they might click on it
There's a lot of people actually click on it. But the thing is is usually they're not in the right mental state
So number one guys
Email is still the biggest revenue
generating source out of all of the different audiences all the different lists that I have in my business number two reason why you should
Be building email is still in 2019
Even though some people say that email marketing is completely dead
But it's not is that you can leverage that to build other audiences to help you grow your business
So what I've done and you guys can see right here on my youtube channel
And obviously I haven't grown crazy big in the last year
so but I was able to go over to over 20,000 subscribers here on YouTube and a large part of that is because
Anytime I launched a new video that obviously pertain to what my list is about
Then I would go through and send an email to those people and say hey by the way, subscribe to my youtube channel
so you're able to go through and build other audiences and it's the same way that I've gone through and built my
Facebook group to over 7,000 members inside of that
I haven't really focused on building that for probably about the last eight to nine months
and so that probably would be a lot bigger if I would keep on focusing on that and I've also been able to build my
facebook Messenger lists to about
16,000 people and it's all by simply
leveraging the email marketing list and as you guys know today that
Audiences are basically king
If you have an audience, then you can pretty much push whatever product behind that audience
obviously if they know I can trust you and obviously if that product makes sense to that list and
You're just gonna have that much easier of a time getting started with business
Whereas somebody that starts out in business like me a few years ago where I've got this product
I've got this service, but I have no audience. No lists nothing
It's gonna be a lot harder for that person to ramp up and get started
So if you have that audience
You've got the email list you're able to leverage and build other lists like Facebook messenger a text message list
You can build a YouTube channel
you can build a Facebook group and you can just go through and
Leverage this to go and build a lot of other community
And even an Instagram following which I don't focus on Instagram
but a lot of people love focus on Instagram so you can use that to get a lot of followers over there on Instagram to
Be in front of your ideal target
Audience now number three and if you guys have been following me my channel here for a little while
You know, I love Facebook ads I talk a lot about Facebook ads
I invest a lot of money into Facebook ads and if you have an email list
If you have an email list of let's say 100 or 500 thousand
Whatever number of people what you can do is upload that email list into Facebook and say hey
This is the custom audience and I just want my ads to show to these exact people
So now we're starting to have this like on the president's exposure where we've got an email list
So we're sending emails maybe and then we're going and we're saying hey Facebook. These are the people on my email list
So these are the people I want to show my facebook ads to so you're now showing them Facebook Ads
Instagram ads you're in their email INBOX and then what you can also do from that custom audience once you upload that
Existing email list is you can create a look-alike audience of the people on that email list
So basically want to look like audiences is saying hey Facebook
I want you to go find people that look just like this person. There may be the same age the same
interest the same
demographic say I'd like there a lot of
Similarities to your existing clientele and then you're able to go and have a bigger audience that you can run your Facebook ads to
Ultimately building your email list and just having everything grow all together
Now the fourth reason why it's very similar to the Facebook look like audiences
But if you've ever run Google Ads Google AdWords is they have something called
Similar audiences, which is literally the same exact thing as Facebook look-alike audiences
It's just Google's version of the look like audience is called
Similar audiences and you can also upload that contact information. So all those emails and have that custom audience
So now you literally have this omnipresent exposure online. You are sending emails to this person
Okay, you have your Facebook Ads showing to these people you have your Instagram ads you're hitting up up on YouTube
You're hitting them up on the Google search in all these different places even on other blogs
They're visiting and so literally guys this is the core
this is like the heartbeat to go in and having all this other stuff around it work and all your
Retargeting and then not to mention with those custom audiences inside of Google AdWords as well
You can create the similar audiences which obviously give you a lot bigger market to go through and advertise to now the fifth
reason, I would highly recommend still going through and building your email list in 2019 is
Because it's so easy to go through and test new offers new ideas new products new services new met
whatever a hundred percent for free
So let's say you go through and you get an idea for some new product or some new offering they wanted like oh I want
To go through and see if people would be interested in this
Well before you even make the product you can one go ask your email list or if you made the product you can go through
And sell it to your email list blast out one email or a couple of emails and see how the conversions go
and so or like if you're let's say gonna go do a
Webinar or a sales video or something like that you have this list of people that instead of having to go through and pay money
For Facebook, Ads Google Ads or anything like that
You send one email out to this email list
whether it's a thousand people ten thousand twenty thousand people and you're able to instantly get feedback on your messaging how the
actual offer is gonna convert and the price points a lot of
Information before you actually take that offer and that product that idea to cold traffic
so any new product or service you're gonna go through and
Mark it if you have an email list more than likely they're gonna know who you are
They're gonna hopefully like you and hopefully trust you and so those conversion rates are gonna perform
Extremely well as opposed to cold traffic so you're able to go through and if you have crazy good numbers crazy good conversion rates
with your warm audience with that email list then you know
Once you take it to that cold market and start running Facebook ads or Google Ads at scale
You know, you're gonna have a pretty good chance of having a winner
Whereas if you go through and you launch it to this email list
Which remember it's a hundred percent free because all you got to do is blast out a couple of emails to test this offer
and it performs kind of mediocre or
Performs at a level that you would be fine with that cold traffic
Then you know you probably have a dud because once you actually do take it to cold traffic
It's gonna perform a lot worse than how it performed with your actual email list, right?
so quick recap guys
Number one email is still the number one driving revenue source
if you're gonna go through and launch something number one audience to go through and market new products to
Number two, you're able to leverage that audience to go build other audiences
facebook Messenger Facebook groups YouTube subscribers
Instagram followers or anything else you're trying to go through and grow and leverage to get that omnipresent on
line and then number three you're able to use it to create Facebook ad custom audiences to market to those people retarget them and
Create look like audiences number four similar type of thing with Google AdWords
You're able to create those custom audiences and then those similar audiences to go through and grow and expand things and then number five
It's easy to go through and test new offers with literally zero
start-up costs so really guys
