hello guys welcome back to my channel African Queen in Poland
my name is Samira and today I'm going to tell you how did I find work in Poland
remember that I'm not English native and everything and tele it's always about my
experience but if you like my videos don't forget to subscribe to share and
invite your friends to do the same I was living in France before and to find work
for me in Poland was very very easy because in France I was struggling all
the time to find even internship student jobs because when I was student I always
wanted to were not to expect all the time money from my mother it was not so
easy because in France they always want to complicate difference to clean the
dishes they will ask you 10 years of experience they are not even letting you
show what you are able to do if they see on your CV that you didn't clean dishes
10 years they will not call you for interview so that's why when I applied
in Poland I couldn't imagine that it could be so easy for me why it was easy
for me to find work in Poland first reason I think is because I had small
experience as I told you when I was 2 them I was trying to do a small job and
also I had my internship so it helped me a lot on my CV but also I'm able to
speak French Spanish and English even if I'm not very good in English for people
who are interested I will put on the description the links where you can find
offers if you want to work in Poland after arranging my CV I started to apply
I was so surprised about all the phone calls I was receiving I applied for
example on 10 offers I was receiving 9 phone calls and I'm not like it was for
me too much I was so shocked and I was feeling
so special but the problem was that and not European citizen many compounded me
to start as soon as possible but I needed work permit they were
calling me for example today and they wanted me to start the week after or the
month after but it was not possible because I needed work for me to start my
work I remember when I was preparing my interview I was so stressed because it
was the first time I would do the interview totally in English and as you
know I'm not confident when I'm speaking English it's like it's not me I feel
like I'm not so competent in English so when I was expecting interview I was
always stressed but finally when I had the people on phone or on skype I was I
was feeling sometimes like it's me who was leading the interview so yes you
know after I received the reply of the first company who wanted to prepare for
me the work permit I told me that it could take around two three months but
after they stopped giving me information I was calling and they were telling that
yes it's still in process I like when things are well organized so I said that
I would not just to wait for them I started to apply again and then I
received better offer better option and people were more serious because they
told me that everything would be ready in two months in two months everything
was ready I still had my resident card from friends and I took worker visa and
I started to work in Poland what else you need to know is that in general in
Poland even if you don't have any experience about the domain if you can
speak two or three languages they will take you they will show you how to work
they will give you training and if you can show that you are able to work they
will stay with you but if you are not doing your job well they will be obliged
to fire you another thing I've noticed in Poland is that they are not organized
like in France for the breaks that for example at 12 or at 12:30 every
going out to eat in Poland my case I had 8 hours a day to work so I was I I was
taking my break whenever I wanted and I just had to respect the thirty minutes
of my break so I could come at ten take my break at 10:30 and then work until
the time I will need to leave just you need to organize with your collegues
I've noticed also that where I was working they were not so strict with the
way you are addressed when you're working in corporation in Poland there
are some benefits in my case they proposed me to choose between health
insurance and multi-sport card it's a card which allows you to go to different
gyms on Poland you will probably work for international corporations because
any international company open here because salaries are very low this is
another point I wanted you to know don't compare your salary with people who live
in France in England your salary will be low but you need to know that the cost
of living also it's low so it's not so bad in Poland I've noticed also that
people are not talking about their salaries at all I remember when I was
going for the first day they told me not to talk not to ask to my colleagues how
much do they earn because it was like taboo here and I don't know why because
in France people are talking about the salary without any problem another thing
you need to know is when you are sick and you cannot go to work you need to go
to the doctor and he will give you l for they are calling here L for is like
certificate that of course you are sick and they are paying you 80% of your
salary doing the period you will not be working if you have the certificate my
company I was doing also training and you have a lot of possibilities online
if you to learn new things in Poland people are
not kissing each other at work it's always hey hey gingerbread Gingerbread
you know it's not like in France when I was everywhere I was working is like
when somebody's coming he needs to say good morning but here in Poland it was
not like this in my company so guys this is what I wanted to share with you today
