Youtube daily report Feb 13 2019

[K-Drama in Europe] 스카이 캐슬 후기 Sky Castle Review w/ Banana Avocado Milkshake (Korean, Eng subtitles) - Duration: 3:47.

For my breakfast,

I have 3 choices

first,

banana, avocado, proteins

or, oatmeal

otherwise,

(another oatmeal.. from Finland)

I wasn't a K-Drama fan when I lived in Korea

I like Korean movies and K-pops

but, didn't like much Korean TV shows and dramas

Rarely,

I love <Guardian> so much.

Who doesn't love it

Anyway, my friends

recommended me <Sky Castle> again and again

I thought I should watch it to chew the fat with my friends

so I watched 2 or 3 episodes per day for last couple of days

Whenever I watch K-Dramas or K-movies,

I feel that..

I always feel that.

too much screaming

too much anger and rage

crying all the time

I hate all these things

what I don't want to and what I don't want others to do

however, in K-Dramas for Ajummas, like all the dramas in the morning time

Yelling all the time

Throwing juice in others' face, slapping in the cheek with Kimchi

I am really not interested in anything of those.

Somehow

if you haven't watched K-drama for a long time,

it can be fun because it amazes you

As I watched 'Sky Castle' with a foreigner who doesn't know about Korean culture at all

I was quite challenging to explain 'WHY'

I don't know 'WHY'

even he kept asking me 'WHY'

I don't have the mom obsessed with her children's education and university

or doctor-dad

so I don't understand the situation.

But

I said like

Korean parents think that they must support their children to enter the best university

That is their aim. The best parenting.

They believe that Making their children study harder is True Love.

I know how hard Korean parents raise up their children in super competitive environment

I don't wanna talk like 'what is right and wrong'

I just want them to yell less.

I think that this drama is like

eating 'Buldak'(Super spicy chicken dish]

When you eat it, you feel great. but Afterwards, you feel sick.

like Some K-Dramas,

Especially, K-drama with too much yellings, screamings with evil mother-in-law.

you can be totally into it when you watch it, but afterwards, you feel depressing

Today is my No School Day by the way

I am gonna finish all the episodes today!

Because of that I found a German who speaks Turkish, I wanna ask you to tell me that

Should I keep that yoghurt with garlic or without garlic ( tongue twister)

Say it again

This yoghurt... Garlick... This yogurt... (error)

This yoghurt, garl..

He can't do it either

- You know we will publish it, right?

(Same tongue twister)

(Same tongue twister... So, are you guys having fun?)

I made it, yo!

(Tounge twister thing keeps going)

Bravooo!!! (finally guys, well done)

How do Turkish people react on the fact that you can speak Turkish? Are they surprised?

Yes they are very surprised about it. People who come from other countries do not usually talk Turkish, and they generally react as they are happy with it

Cool

In this way, we can always start the conversation

Got it?

There is direct topic between us.

yes

There is a topic, we can speak about this topic from the beginning

aaa okey you speak Turkish, (they say)

How did you learn? (they say) Where did you learn?

Where did you get classes?

So, there is a start of a conversation

Did you take cla.. anyway there is a saying in Turkish

language cannot be learned without tongue contact

language cannot be learned without tongue contact. This is my favorite proverb.

So, have you had a tongue contact?

I am gonna tell somethin...

Have you had a tongue contact in order to learn that language? Explain that, people are curious.

Say it again

have you had a tongue contact?

Tongue to tongue.. Tongue touched to tongue?

Do I have to kiss you now to explain, what the fuck get it bro.

Tongue hasn't touched to tongue, has it? - Tongue hasn't touch.

have the tongue contacted to the other tongue? ( Wtf I am translating here) (meaningless conversation, just listen guys)

Answer me

Not sure if you don't understand or you don't want to answer

Leon come here

He ran away

Answer me, have you had a tongue contact to learn the language?

Okey. Ummm...

YES! Yes? It happened.

Thats it yo! Thats it. Thats it.

That's it.

We already know that you had the tongue contact, even if you don't want, they will make you have this contact.

Okey okey, I got it now.

Okey, next question is, What is German cake? ( Kind of famous in Turkey) Do you call it German cake as well or just cake?

Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte

Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte?

Yes, exactly. Could I pronounce it well?

Yes, very goo... (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) Oh schwanz ? NOO!

What the fuck I said by mistake?

Schwanz means dick

Oh we ate dick by mistake, we thought it was german cake.

Schwarz! Schwarz. Schwarz means black Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte

Oh okey, you did it well, Well done!

Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte

Yes yes, exactly

Scwarz means black, Wald means forest. There is a forest in Germany and the pasta called black forest cake

So, this is how you call it... Yes

The most famous cake Most famous? Most famous.

Schwarz. Not infamous one.

Why Turkey? What are you doing here?

Ahhh, what I am doing here, I am here to learn turkısh

I am from Berlin and there are many Turkish in Berlin.

I always eat Doner (Kebap), and speaking Turkish is a practical thing in Berlin.

Have you tried Doner here for 3 lira (cheap, shit ones)

Yes

How about doner here?

Oh sorry guys but the doner here is worse than the one in Berlin.

Be carefull Leon :)

Yes, I know But um

To be honest We can't protect you Leon...

I said the truth to be honest.

I agree with you by the way

But it is delicious here as well.

Not in Germany but I ate kebap in many countries in europe and yes.

I especially ate kebap everywhere, why the fuck I ate kebap everywhere

Why I did something like this?

a question were asked to you, Turkish women or German women?

Turkish women

I think everyone gets how many women here by the shouts of applause.

Just one, rest of the backstage occupied by just dudes.

So, why Turkish women, what is the thing that makes them special?

Because they are amiable (hot) - (the word has both meanings)

Typically Germans might be understood as cold people, yes, that's why.

So, you say Turkish people are warm and you ask if I get it...

Warmer like hot, like fire I mean.

So you say Turkish women are on fire.

Something like this -something like this?

We never seen it, not to us obviously, but just for Leon.

I am not happy with that...

What else... They can speak Turkish too!

Great talent ---------

So they can speak Turkish, What the fuck

Is there any weird mistake you made when you speak Turkish?

I don't remember any

His Turkish is so good guys, he mustn't be doing mistakes

It's like.. It's like you said something to someone and... Nothing comes to my mind either, but

Like proverb? Also. But I mean if you meant to say something beautiful but you said ugly by mistake.

Something you used without the real meaning of it.

Oh okey, I need to think for a bit.

You can, you can. We will wait, we can cut this part don't worry.

Bring wine to Leon, bring him a cigarette or something.

Oh something happened today, I meant to say skiing but I said skying.

It's okey, so you wanted to say skiing but you said skying.

Cool.

What is the thing makes you surprized the most about Turkish people?

talking Turkish.

No, what makes you surprized?

They do not sleep. Or they go to sleep so late. Really. Around 3 am.

German people sleep really early.

How about you?

Around same time, around 2 or 3 am.

Then why you question Turkish people, you sleep in the same time

But sometimes.

I am kidding. Anyway, if you guys wanna text Leon, text before 3 am before he sleeps.

Can I ask a question?

Sure. Have you ever had Turkish girlfriend?

Am I Nihat Hatipoğlu? (a religious presenter) because you ask if you can ask question as in his programme.

No, I haven't. Do you want to have?

Okey, let's have one.

Maybe one day.

Okeyyy, someone tried on you during the shootings. I apologize for my crewmates Leon.

Anyway, we thank Leon for being with us, we will be with another foreigner guest next time, see you soon ^^

Get Your Hands On the Latest Addon for Sygic GPS Navigation - Cockpit - Duration: 1:43.

Hello guys, my name is Marek Lelovic and I am working in Sygic as Global PR.

I am going to show you show you our latest

add-on for Sygic GPS Navigation - Cockpit for Android.

Before we leave, we have to calibrate it to make sure, that we have the most accurate

numbers from phone sensors.

Here you can see several indicators.

Tilt of your car.

It is a great preventiont against overturning, if you are in the terrain.

It is always good to know, what is your altitude, when you are heading to the mountains, as

the conditions may pretty much differ.

Especially in the winter.

And last, but not least - the compass.

Heading north, the winter is coming.

In the second screen, you have the g-force indicator.

If it jumps too much, and you have any passengers,

it means, they are not feeling comfortable right now.

Try to keep everything in the middle, while accelerating or cornering.

What I like most on this add-on is that you can minmalize it and check all the numbers

while you are navigating.

It adds additional screen to the bottom ribbon.

Where normally your ETA is and you can easily swipe to get the information you need.

So, thats it.

See you in the next video, where we will introduce major update for our CarPlay connectivity.

Oh.

I should not have said that.

Understanding the Green New Deal - Duration: 6:27.

Its finally snowing!

We've had almost no snow this year.

I'm so pleased!

Alright, back where its warm.

Hi!

So it finally happened, we got words on paper for what is maybe the most-talked about environmental

and climate document since maybe the Paris Climate Agreement: The Green New Deal

So I thought, hey, why not make a quick highlight video of all the parts that stick out to me

as important or worth thinking about.

And fortunately, I do not have to do it alone!

Raya: Hi, I'm Raya Salter - a clean energy attorney and advocate

The Green New Deal as an idea has been bouncing around the progressive side of the democratic

party for the last few years now, but let's break down what the 'official'

Green New Deal, that just came out, even is.

Raya: Well first off, it's not a bill - its a non-binding resolution.

You can think of that as your New Year's resolution - or better yet, the New Year's

resolutions of your most introspective and committed friend.

So [laughs] if it passes, it's not like things are suddenly going to just start but it will

really make a statement about Congress's priorities.

Miriam: And importantly, putting all of this on paper, creates a more formal framework

or guideline that the US can follow over the next decade to significantly reduce our carbon

emissions, overhaul the economy, and create a more just society.

Raya: Now that would be really nice - but let's examine this further.

So the Green New Deal is a strategic clean energy investment agenda, designed to respond

to climate change while we still have time and stimulate the economy all over the economy,

creating jobs and also creating a pathway to greater social equality.

The idea is to recreate FDR's New Deal of the 1930s.

when massive investment were made into public works projects, jobs programs, new regulations

were created, designed to lift the United States out of the Great Depression.

FDR's new deal gave us social security, it gave us the SEC, the FHA, the FDIC and

just many, many, many other programs and institutions.

The Green New Deal is essentially calling for similar investments but this time centered

around the clean energy economy.

So the plan is to mobilize the United States to meet all US electricity demand with clean,

renewable and zero-emission sources in ten years.

Then, the plan is to branch out into further investments in transportation, manufacturing,

and make sure that the entire US economy is zero emissions by midcentury.

Miriam: And, believe it or not the environment and climate are inextricably linked to pretty

much every element of our lives.

Something the Green New Deal puts front and center.

This isn't a resolution aimed soley at clean energy investment - the authors recognize

that to address climate change we need structural shifts and equitable outcomes.

Which is why the Green New deal includes not only goals of 'net zero greenhouse gas emissions,'

but calls for a just transition with community defined resiliency projects, jobs with living

wages and family leave, and healthcare for all.

Raya: Also, we get an important acknowledgment of the United States' really historic role

as a major carbon emitter.

This really provides the moral foundation on why we need to have this climate response.

And this is also cited in the preamble of this Green New Deal.

Along with all that, the Green New Deal highlights the 'systemic injustices' of climate change,

namely: pollution, environmental degradation and acknowledges that those who have done

the least to contribute to the causes of climate change are going to be the ones to suffer

its consequences first.

That [acknowledgment] is super cool, but the Green New Deal wants to do all that economic

overhaul and green energy mobilization in just a decade.

By 2030.

That is heckin' ambitious.

If not impossible.

There are few, if any studies, that show a practical path to net zero emissions in just

ten years - and I also worry, that that kind of an expedited timeline could force the Green

New Deal into similar traps of the original New Deal.

It only lasted a handful of years - it moved really fast and it left some people behind.

However, keeping in mind that this is a non-binding resolution - it is more of an agenda-setting

tool

I think it is designed to be a placeholder strategy so that the policy can be developed

and an aggressive climate response can be mounted when all arms of government are on

the same page about it.

And in this case, I think that won't be until the Democrats retake the Senate and the Presidency

while keeping the House

This is, of course, incredibly important because, of course, the clock is ticking on our ability

to mount an adequate climate response in time to avert climate catostrophe.

And really we have been planning this, we've got the technology, and we need to try.

Miriam: Ultimately the Green New Deal requires a lot of funding, and how we're going to pay

for this is pretty much an open question.

And as the plan is currently, it's not perfect.

I've seen good-faith critics acknowledge that some aspects of the plan are a bit hand-wavy

or ill-informed - particularly in sections like the one about agriculture.

If you want more information I'm going to leave links to a couple twitter threads and

further reading in the description down below.

Raya: So call it an ambitious blueprint, a call to action, a political threat

The green agenda has been snatched by the new young congress. and.

I. am. here.

for.

it.

And before we wrap up this video, we have to talk about the elephant in the room.

Is the Green New Deal politically feasible?

I dunno, maybe not, but call your representatives anyway if the Green New Deal excites you.

And if it doesn't, tell them why!

Also tell us, in the comments down below.

RS: Pass or not, this resolution, I think, is extremely exciting.

We've never done anything like this since the New Deal.

And certainly not anything like this that centered around really the potential of a

clean energy economy.

I'd really recommend reading the document, it isn't even very long, and you can say

you've read what will hopefully become an important bit of history, a possible turning

point in our response to climate change.

Miriam: And I'll leave you with this, climate change is a big problem, to deal with it,

we're gonna need big solutions.

The Green New Deal is a big solution.

And if anything it is positioning itself so that a response to climate change is gonna

have to be a priority of the 2020 presidential candidates.

Thank you so much for watching - and an especially big thank you to Raya for helping me make

this video.

If you want to follow along with her work, check out her twitter and website linked down

below!

Thanks again, and I hope that you're having a wonderful day.

Bagnaia still at '65 percent' despite 'incredible' Sepang lap - Duration: 4:06.

Bagnaia, who graduated to MotoGP on a works Ducati contract after winning the 2018 Moto2 title, was just 0

063s adrift of Danilo Petrucci's track-record lap on the final day of testing at Sepang

The 1m58.302s effort, which was more than half a second clear of Jorge Lorenzo's previous unofficial record at the Malaysian venue, earned Bagnaia plaudits in the paddock, including from mentor Valentino Rossi

But when asked after testing how close he now felt to being a fully-realised premier-class rider, Bagnaia said: "Don't know, at the moment I think I'm 70 percent

no, 65 percent, is better. "I need to improve in a lot of things. I have to understand how to be more constant with used tyre

"[Friday] has been another step in front because I started with the used tyres and I made [1m]59

9[s] in the first exit, and has been very positive. "But for the race pace I need to improve a little bit more because the [tyre] drop[-off] in the race is different, is bigger, and I have to understand how to use the [engine] maps and the tyres

" The 22-year-old did add that he was "for sure" surprised about his best laptime

"I was not expecting to make [1m]58s. My objective was 59s. 58s, beating the record, is incredible, I'm very happy

But this just mean that we make a good work. "I understood a lot of things, most of all how to ride a MotoGP bike like a MotoGP rider, because in the first day [in Sepang] I started riding more similar compared to last year, with more middle[-corner] speed, and it has been very important to understand how important it is to have more traction in the exit

"So I understood it was very, very important to stop more the bike and open gas

"One other thing that I improve a lot was the braking because last year in November [testing] already has been difficult, but they [Pramac] make a good set-up for my bike and I'm very confident with the front

" Bagnaia is riding a year-old Ducati Desmosedici GP18 this year, but the 22-year-old has already been named by the manufacturer as one of the contenders to join the works team in 2020 – when incumbent rider Petrucci's current one-year deal expires

Despite his strong showing in Sepang, Bagnaia says his aim for the season remains unchanged

"It's not changing at the moment," he said. "I think that I make a good lap and also a good pace, but I prefer to be calm, to make step by step and arrive in Qatar with the same objective: be rookie of the year

"

Jimmy Fallon nearly chest bumps Priyanka Chopra through a wall in 'Ew!' sketch - Duration: 1:34.

Well, that could have gone tremendously wrong, but instead it's kind of hilarious

Jimmy Fallon's latest "Ew!" sketch with Priyanka Chopra Jonas started out standard enough, but amidst the energetic "Ew!"-ing, gabbing about Chopra's real-life husband Nick Jonas, and dancing around the Tonight Show stage, Fallon nearly chest-bumped his guest straight through the set wall

Thank God for padding.  In the sketch, Sara and her BFF Mia (Chopra) were practicing their TikTok dance moves, which ends in a chest bump

Reading Wrap Up - Tome Infinity and Beyond Round 2 - Duration: 8:34.

Hello everyone and welcome to my Tome Infinity and Beyond Round 2 wrap up.

For this readathon I read eight books.

First I read both books in the Dinosaur Planet series by Anne McCaffrey.

The first book, Dinosaur Planet, I didn't so much as read as struggle through.

I did finish it, but it was not an enjoyable read. This book was really unnecessary.

It repeats, I think word for word, a lot of the scenes and actions that happen in the Planet Pirates series by the same author.

There was pretty much no action, no character growth, I didn't know where it was going,

and that's really disappointing given that the book is literally dinosaurs in space.

It takes a special case to make that boring.

I started the second book in the series, Dinosaur Planet Survivors,

but it was so much of the same thing that I just couldn't get through it and I DNFed it.

I gave both books 1 star.

Next I read Victor LaValle's Destroyer.

This is a graphic novel retelling of Frankenstein.

I really appreciated the social commentary that was presented in this graphic novel.

The themes and messages that the author clearly wanted to get through were done really well.

As far as the characters and plot go, I would have liked a little bit more.

Some things seemed to feel rushed over,

and the character of the original Frankenstein-type monster wasn't nearly as nuanced as I kept expecting it to be throughout the graphic novel.

I really enjoyed the main character of Josephine though and her brilliant scientific mind and what she stood for.

I gave it 3 stars.

Next I read Mechanica by Betsy Cornwell.

This is a steampunk/fairy retelling of Cinderella.

The writing in this book and the general tone are truly magical, really everything that you could want from a fairy tale retelling.

The story isn't that complex, but what it does it does really well.

It explores friendship and love, both platonic and romantic, and being true to your own dreams.

I loved the fairy magic aspect and what it added to the story and just really enjoyed the writing of this book.

I gave it 4 stars.

Next I read another graphic novel, Descender volume 1 by Jeff Lemire.

As is usual with multi-volume graphic novels there was a lot of setup, both character wise and world wise, but I'm definitely intrigued.

The pacing of introducing all of the new characters or ideas within the story was done really well.

I also like the watercolor art style. I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

Oh, basically this story takes place in a universe where artificial intelligence robots have been banned,

and one of the main characters is a robot who is being sought because there are clues in his programming

that might help with a threat that has been facing this entire universe.

I gave it 4 stars.

Next I read Saga volume 9.

I've seen that many people have already read this and the emotional impact that it has had on people, as most of this entire series has had.

I went in basically bracing myself so I didn't have quite as strong a reaction to the events as many other people did,

but come on, the previous eight novels didn't give anyone any emotional break so I really didn't expect this one to either,

especially since the series is going on a one-year hiatus.

Overall as usual this series is great. I like what it's doing.

The one criticism I have is the character of The Will.

I think over the last few volumes he hasn't had any growth, he hasn't had any dimension.

He's basically just being bounced around as a tool for the other characters,

and I'm not quite sure what his purpose is anymore.

Yes I know specific things that happened in this graphic novel that I won't say because of spoilers,

but just overall the treatment of his character seems to have flatlined.

I'm really interested to see what happens from the fallout of the events in this graphic novel once it is not on hiatus anymore.

I gave this volume 4 stars.

Next I read Provenance by Ann Leckie.

This takes place in the same universe as her Imperial Radch series shortly after the events of the third book of the Imperial Radch series,

but with completely different characters and in a completely different location from the other trilogy.

It definitely has a different feel from the Imperial Radch series.

I think it would actually be a really good place to start with Ann Leckie if you felt intimidated by her brand of sci-fi, and I really enjoyed it.

It's basically about a young woman who is trying to prove herself in her politically minded family and basically gets herself into a lot of shenanigans.

I really liked the way that the main character develops her friendships and relationships over the course of the book

with kind of the four main characters by the end being a little subgroup getting into shenanigans together.

I would really like to follow them in future books if Leckie were to write them.

They were a lot of fun, and there were good dynamics between all four of them.

One of the best things I can say about Leckie's writing is that she develops such complex sci-fi worlds

that even though there are humans in them, they do feel alien.

I think she does a fantastic job of not making the reader feel like they're completely lost,

but also making her writing feel like this is an alien world and you are reading about it,

so there are things and dynamics that are very strange.

She straddles that line and executes that dynamic superbly,

so I always felt a little bit off kilter reading about the characters and the political situations in this world,

but never enough that I felt lost. I really appreciated that,

and now I kind of want to reread the Imperial Radch series again. I really enjoyed this book and I gave it 4 stars.

Lastly I read Adaptation by Malinda Lo.

I had previously read Lo's Cinderella retelling Ash and its prequel Huntress and really enjoyed them,

so I was eager to see what she did with sci-fi.

This is a young adult novel that follows two teenagers who end up getting into a car crash,

and they are taken care of by basically area 51.

They think that they have just been healed medically and they can go home,

but it turns out when they were in this hospital there might have been experiments done on them,

and the story follows the effects of those experiments.

This book was action-packed. I finished it in just two nights because I really did not want to put it down.

There were definitely moments that felt weak to me that I just kind of had to give the benefit of the doubt as far as moving the plot along,

but overall the characters were pretty complex and how they dealt with the situation.

I liked the development of their relationships with each other and the tension throughout this book was so good.

It reminded me a lot of Jessica Khoury's Corpus series, the three books being Origin, Vitro, and Kalahari.

Those books, especially the first and the third one, are ones I did not want to put down because it had that consistent movement forward in the pacing.

Also with Adaptation, I want to point out that it's a YA book with a prominent mother presence for the main character, a positive mother presence.

I really appreciated seeing that because in YA, at least in the books that I read, that doesn't happen very often.

I really enjoyed this book, I'm looking forward to reading the sequel, and I gave it 4 stars.

So those are the eight books that I read for Tome Infinity and Beyond Round 2, and in total they filled all of the challenges for the readathon,

which I kept track of on this spreadsheet, which was created by Stef Galvin on Twitter.

Between all eight of the books I had filled all of the challenges except for apocalyptic/dystopian in the genre section.

I suppose there are elements of Adaptation that could fill that genre, but since Descender was one of the wildcard options for the challenges,

I decided to just use that to fill the challenge of apocalyptic/dystopian.

So I was able to build up my settlement on Saturn to tier five, the Galactic Empire!

This was a really fun readathon, just like round 1, and I can't wait to see if there's a round 3 and what that would entail.

Let me know down in the comments if you've read any of these books

or if you participated in Tome Infinity and Beyond Round 2 and how your settlement fared.

Thanks for joining me!

Forgotten Realms Villains - Jarlaxle - Duration: 5:21.

Hello everybody Jorphdan here the PH is silent.

Oh boy… this is a big one.

I'm dipping my toe into the pool that is Forgotten Realms beloved characters.

So know that I'm not a wiki, I'm not a novel, I'm a fan like you and this is what

I felt interesting to talk about.

I 100% will leave stuff out that you the mutual fan believes I should have mentioned.

It happens, we don't read minds.

If you're new here, welcome and I hope this brief history sparks your creativity.

Today I'm discussing the lore and history of Jarlaxle.

Normally I try to pull information from campaign settings, game published material and not

the novels.

If it was important enough in the novels to make a chapter or paragraph in the campaign

history then I felt it was important enough to cover in the video.

Jarlaxle is different, because he is 90% novels and roughly 10% featured in game material.

I'll be upfront with you I haven't read every forgotten realms novel, I know shocking.

But I am somewhat familiar with Jarlaxle and honestly the forgotten realms wiki has a load

of information covering the books.

So we should be ok giving a brief history into Jarlaxle.

Let's dive in!

Jarlaxle was born to Yvonnel Baenre and was to be killed as an infant.

In Drow society certain mails are sacrificed to Lolth due to the status of their birth.

He was spared through circumstances and Yvonnel always felt like she was somehow tied to his

fate, as she did not have it in her to kill the infant child.

Drow society is divided up into Ruling Houses, and House Baenre is the first house of Menzoberranzan.

Growing up Jarlaxle was privileged and it is believed this is why he gets away with so much mischief

(for lack of a better word) because House Baenre looks the other way.

Growing up in drow society, as a male, you are separated and trained as either a mage

or a warrior.

Jarlaxle went to the warriors' academy and did very well.

He was recognized as a skilled tactician.

He became very skilled with swords but preferred the stealthy dagger to take out his enemies

rather than a direct confrontation.

It was soon after he left the warriors' academy that he left his house and name behind

and founded Bregan D'aerthe.

Bregan D'aerthe is a mercenary company that started rather small but has since grown to

cover most of north eastern faerun.

Existing both in Underdark cities and surface cities like Luskan and Waterdeep.

The company is full of rogue males who did not fit into regular drow society.

Finding work and a home within the organization, some might say even a family.

It was a place for drow males from destroyed houses to have a purpose.

The ruling houses of Menzoberranzan and other areas use Bregan D'aerthe as a resource.

They'll hire the group for various operations as sellswords.

Often unable to get their own hands dirty, a quick assasination can occur with Bregan

D'aerthe and the noble family can disavow knowledge of it.

But to the highest price goes loyalty.

There have been times when the mercenary company was hired to defend the House only to switch

sides as Jarlaxle willed.

They are an unlawful faction, but as I mentioned earlier the Houses will utilize them so they

seem to look the other way.

There goal could be considered to sow instability and chaos.

Where there is conflict there is war, and wars are won through superior numbers and

strength of arms.

Bregan D'aerthe supplies both.

Jarlaxle is the head of the organization.

Originally having only a few hundred members, it now has nearly 6,000 spread out across

and underneath Faerun.

Jarlaxle has six lieutenants that serve him, and lead many of the operations the mercenary

company is handling at the moment.

Underneath these lieutenants are the core of Bregan D'aerthe; warriors, spies, assassins,

and informants.

Each sworn to follow Jarlaxle.

Bregan D'aerthe has branched out from just hiring drow.

Their numbers now include hobgoblins and bugbears.

There are hidden cells in many of the larger drow communities in the Underdark.

Jarlaxle has a significant presence in Luskan, and surrounding areas.

He may be one of the most powerful male Drow inside Menzoberranzan but has set up to control

much of the surface world with Bregan D'aerthe.

He has extensive contacts in Blingdendstone, and Calimport.

Despite leaving his House and name behind Jarlaxle is in close alliance with House Baenre

and is a common visitor to the Baenre compound.

Matron Mother Baenre supports Jarlaxle's endeavors as long as they don't conflict with the

House, and so far they have not.

Jarlaxle wouldn't be Jarlaxle if he didn't have his numerous magical items at his side.

The man dresses very well, with flamboyant clothes and much style.

He shaves his head in clear defiance to his drow upbringing wearing instead a large hat

with a giant feather.

The feather in question is actually a feather of Diatryma summoning.

A large flightless bird native to the Underdark.

The hat itself is a hat of disguise which allow him to magically disguise himself.

He wears an eye patch that protects his mind from magical or psionic intrusion, and it

has a limited x-ray power to see through doors.

He has rings and trinkets that increase his AC, as well as boots that allow him to be

near silent when sneaking, or as noisy as a knight in plate mail.

Plus many other items that keep him safe.

Weapon wise he has an infinite supply of throwing daggers from some bracers that he wears.

Plus a variety of wands that have various magical effects stored within.

Jarlaxle considers few others friends.

Despite an apparent friendship he may still cross them when it is the tactical and the

correct course of action.

Keeping Jarlaxle on top of the situation.

Artemis Entreri is one whom Jarlaxle has traveled with for many years.

And despite a rocky start, Drizzt Do'Urden views Jarlaxle with trust after he saved his

life a number of times.

Jarlaxle is a complicated character, and I honestly wouldn't know where to start playing

him.

If I had him as an NPC in my campaign I would for sure want to use meta knowledge as a DM

to ensure Jarlaxle came out ahead in most, if not all, situations.

ENG) 같이잘준비해요🌛(브이로그/블랙헤드제거/물광꿀광스킨케어) Get UNREADY wiht me - Duration: 16:14.

I've been having this Una Beauster lately.

Put powder and oligosaccharide in to yoghurt. That's it!

I prefer to gulp it down so I add milk.

Let's start a day with Una Beauster!

I need permission from Bingle before I go out.

I have to say 'I'll be back. Please look after the house. I'll be back'

Otherwise, he will cry in front of the door.

On my way to a café.

Hi street cat,

Arrived at Tom N Toms!

I ordered Earl Grey Choco-latte so that I can get a drinking jar.

It feels like I'm taking chocolate in a healthy way lol

It was good!

I'm going home now. Can you see my breath? It's cold!

I'm back

MEOWWWWWW

Oh? Did you wait for me?

MEOWWWWWW

Yeah~ you had to wait for a long time~

Let's go!

Getting changed!

Tada!

Ah, I'm dizzy

Bingle's face when watching his butler being weird.

I gotta take my ears out.

I filmed a Get Ready With Me video last month.

So this month, I'm gonna film Get Unready With Me! I'll show you how I get unready

I use those 3 products to remove my makeup.

I use Skinfood Milk Shake Point Remover when I'm wearing heavy eye makeup.

Then I primarily remove my makeup with cleansing water.

This is normal cleansing water and this is cleansing water that contains oil.

It works better than normal cleansing water. I can remove my makeup more thoroughly.

I'm wearing quite a bit of makeup today so I'm going to use this one today.

Shake it. I'm using Missha 5 layer cotton pad.

When my skin's being sensitive, it can be irritated no matter how gentle I wipe

So I spray some mist first then wipe off the skin with cleansing water. This feels much gentler on the skin

I use sunscreen and tone up cream on the back of my ears andneck as well.

After the first round of cleansing, I take a shower.

If you are concerned about back and chest acne, I recommend Holika Holika Aloe Body wash.

It only took a week to get rid of them all.

I finish shower, put body cream on then wash my face again.

I'm going to use cleansing oil to do the secondary cleansing.

I usually clean my face with cleaning water first then wash my face straight away.

But when I can feel bumpy whitehead/blackhead, I always do the secondary cleansing with cleansing oil

I use DHC cleansing oil that's great for removing blackheads. I focus on nose, chin and between the brows and rub it thoroughly.

I rub it on till I can't feel the bumpy texture.

This is how I take care of blackheads.

I'm going to wash it off with lukewarm water and finish off with a foaming cleanser.

I often use low acid cleanser lately.

I'm using Neogen Cica Micellar today!

It's low acid and contains cica ingredient that calms the skin down.

It leaves my skin hydrated without irritating my skin.

I used to hate low acid products as they don't lather at all. Can you see? It lathers really well!

There are many low acid products that lather well so I use them a lot now.

Finish!

I got a scar here yesterday so I put on Medifoam Liquid. But it's almost peeling off because of the shower.

This is it.

If I put on a bandaid on a bendy area, it doesn't last long.

But it's really easy with Mediform Liquid.

I put out all the skincare product for tonight.

My skin's been very unstable lately. It feels rough one day and dry the next day. And I get pimple sometimes.

So I have different skincare routine for everyday.

I'm gonna wipe off my skin with Cosrx AHA7 Whitehead Power Liquid.

Gently wipe off on the nose and chin that have whiteheads.

It works really well but if I use it every day, my skin gets sensitive and irritated from it.

I use it once a 3 days at the most. I don't use it when my skin feels smooth.

Surmedic Brand Photoshop Pad isn't for removing dead skin cells.

The essence inside is same as essence in gel type mask.

I use it to hydrate and cal my skin down.

Surmedic products are all hydrating and great calming effect for sensitive skin.

I'm gonna spray this mist on the face.

This is what I just sprayed.

D'alba Fantastic Waterfull Mask Pack. It's a mask pack in spray form.

It says leave it on for 10-20 minutes then pat it in to the skin but just pat it in straight away.

I'm gonna use Isoi Blemish Serum.

I love Isoi because I can trust their ingredients.

Ah, this is my personal review but if I use Blemish Serum when there's a pimple growing inside, or if I use it when the pimple scar is still healing, it makes it worse.

So I only use it when there's no sign of new pimple on my skin.

I used it when I had a big breakout last summer and it made it worse.

I was wondering why everyone likes it so much when it's so bad. But it's actually good when I use it on clear skin.

It hydrates and brightens the skin up.

This is Wellage One Day Kit.

It comes with this capsule. This is freeze-dried Hyaluronic acid.

I gotta open the ampoule inside and melt Hyaluronic acid in to it.

It's very pure Hyaluronic acid. Your skin will get glowy and tightened just after one use. Try this if you want glowy skin.

I'm finally on the last step. I'm going to put on some cream.

This is MaxClinic Time Return Melatonin Cream.

I have to press it down to get the cream out. It's very nicely sealed.

It's got nice viscosity like snail cream and condensed milk.

Once I put it on, it instantly adds beautiful shine on the skin. It's quite oily

My skin always breaks out whenever I use an oily product but surprisingly, it doesn't break me out. It actually calms my skin down.

My skin feels very comfortable with this

The products don't work on my skin feels instantly heavy and itchy. I can feel that it's gonna break me out.

But this is not unpleasantly oily

It's a good product but because of the oiliness, I don't use it everyday.

I only use it at night if I want my skin to be silky, tight and bouncy the next morning. I don't use it in the morning.

I realized how good it is when my skin had a huge breakout at the end of last year.

I went to Daegu, got back to Seoul and used this cream at night Then my skin became clean and silky the next morning.

Tada! That's it for the tonight's skincare.

I'm gonna eat, watch an online tutorial, do some editing and watch Sky castle and go to bed.

I'm having the first meal of the day at 9:35 pm

I'm gonna eat t while watching Conan.

My mum sent me this lotus root and chilli sauce! It's so good. This is my favorite side dish.

Bingle, what are you doing?

You eat I sleep.

Bingle.

Answering with his tail

If you brush a Persian cat 100 times a day, it will shed all 100 times.

Please flip over~

Makeyourself comfortable~ Yeah~ it's comfy.

I made a fur ball with Bingle's fur

Rewarding him with 4 pieces of snack.

Excuse me. Please chew before you swallow it.

That's it for the snack.

Oh, you can hear my joints.

I took out my contact lenses and put on glasses.

Only the people with glasses can do this.

Bingle's kneading at the back.

I turned on Tving because Sky Castle is about to start soon I think everyone's watching it. It's loading so slowly

I wanted to watch it with a big monitor but I gotta use my phone.

I'll get rid of Bingle's fur from my blanket while brushing my teeth.

He sheds like crazy.

And put on braces before I go to bed!

My mouth area gets dry after brushing my teeth so I put this on.

Innisfree Ato Soothing Oint Stick Balm. It has calming effect.

It feels a bit oily but just like Maxclinic cream, it doesn't feel bad on the skin It gently sinks right in to the skin.

Turn the air purifier on

And turn the humidifier on as well.

I need to put up a water bottle in to this humidifier

It doesn't have a filter so I have to use mineral water.

It's Saturday 2nd of Feb 1:30am. I gotta go to be

See you on my next video. Bye

How I Do Smart Home Lighting Setup In Small Spaces - Part 2: How To Set Up - Duration: 14:34.

hello Automators. Thanks for tuning in again this is part 2 where i'm going to

show you how to set up three different solutions for your smart home lighting

in relatively small spaces now yesterday I showed you the very simplest of

solutions right here this is simply put 3m tape on the back and you're going to

want to install this device so that this little motion sensor can see you now the

links are down below to one of these and there are a lot on Amazon there's a lot

being sold around the world so very simple LED motion sensing light

with a battery pack on it so those are the key critical components I'm not

going to show you exactly how to install this because honestly stick it to a wall

take off the 3m tape stick it to a wall put the four batteries in here and make

sure you have access to those batteries later but I'm going to now show you the

other two solutions that I've done in my smart home so let's get going so if you

remembered yesterday what I showed you was my smart home lighting setup in my

laundry room now there's two Sengled Element smart bulbs in those two fixtures and then

turning around here and looking at the door I have a Samsung SmartThings

multi-purpose sensor now both lights shut off when I go ahead and close the

door and that multi-purpose sensor senses that it's next to its other

magnetic component that's really all that's happening here this is a very

simple setup so let's go ahead and show you how to get this done

so the big critical component with your multi-purpose sensor as you get it out

of the box there is a little tag that says remove when connecting and that tag

is actually your battery and once you remove that the battery is live and that

will start the pairing mode for your multi-purpose sensor once you've done

that essentially that device is ready to go and then from there you can just go

ahead and use the 3m sticky tape that was provided to go ahead and mount it on

your door frame and on your door like you saw

earlier in the video where I'm going to start is in the Samsung SmartThings

application and what I'll tell you is I already have those two laundry lights

set up and I already have the laundry door sensor set up so what I'm going to

show you is how to add a new thing inside of Samsung SmartThings so you hit

that plus up at the top right and what that does is the Samsung SmartThings

hubs start searching for new things to connect now for singled Element bulbs I

actually struggled getting them connected one of the tricky things to do

here is leave the light switch on and then turn it on and off 10 times and

that will start a pairing process for the singled element classic a 19 bulbs

that are sold quite often once you do that what happens is your Samsung

SmartThings will find that Sengled Element Classic

bulb and you can go ahead and hit rename device now call it whatever you want I'm

going to call it the laundry room light 3 and then I'm gonna show you how to

rename the device and you can actually stick it in rooms but ultimately for

what we're doing this doesn't matter now once you've hit OK

you basically have that light now in the application and you have access to it

you can see it right there laundry room light 3 now we can go into that light

settings just by tapping on it and you could physically if you want to turn

that bulb on and off and change the percent on if you wanted right in this

screen but we can also hit the settings up in the top right and that's just a

little gear icon and then you can go ahead and rename the device here so you

can see I'm just renaming it to laundry light 3 and then I'm going ahead back

there are other settings that I could show you but really what we're trying to

do here is set up a smart app so down at the bottom of the application I've

tapped on automation and you can see I already have smart lighting setup it's

down towards the bottom and I can go in and I can see all the different

components of smart lighting that I have set up but if you didn't have that set

up already we can scroll down to the bottom and you can

see add a smart app now go to lights and switches inside of there and you can hit

smart lights it's the very very first one now what I can do is I can choose

the devices I wish to control so that's going to be laundry light one two and

three

and once I have those three selected I go ahead and hit next now I could choose

to activate a scene but honestly that's a little too complex for what we're

doing here we're going to go ahead and choose what we want to do so I want it

to turn on and then how do I want to trigger that action well I want it to be

based on an open close and you can do a lot of different things you can see that

here but I'm choosing open close and now I have to choose which opened or open

close sensor I'm going to choose my laundry door sensor now in when I first

added this you would have had to add that device as well and call it laundry

door sensor as long as you had that sitting with the battery pulled from it

then that laundry door sensor would have been ready to set up with your Samsung

SmartThings and would have shown up when you hit add things just the same as the

single element bulb so you could have set up both of those devices at the same

time now from here we're just choosing a few more settings so we want it to turn

on when opened and you can see I've turned it off when closed and I could do

that after a number of minutes so I could turn it off if I want a little bit

of a delay now choosing more options I can also do this only during a certain

time so this is how you can start to modify the actions you could create

multiple of these if you wanted say to only turn on these lights during night

time so you could actually say only during a certain time or only when a

certain mode if you have an alarm system already set up and smart things so what

you'll see me do here is basically start at sunset and end at sunrise and

therefore this automation would only occur when it's nighttime so once you

set all of these different settings you could make a lots of kind of if

statements so you could base it on other switches in your home being on you could

base it on other settings like illuminance if you had one of those

sensors in your home you could do that as well but ultimately in the end once

these settings are all set you just hit next now you could go ahead and

edit the automation name if you'd wanted but you can also just hit save and now

it's already installed and automating so when you actually go and open that door

those lights will all turn on so here you can see the automation working

there's my door just going open and as I close it the lights turn off so of

course if I had added that delay it would take longer to actually shut off

the lights but let's head upstairs to my walk-in closet here in our master

bedroom and I'll show you the lighting automation there this is based on a

motion sensor up in the top right corner there's my Samsung SmartThings motion

sensor but in the fixture itself is a Philips hue bulb so what I'm going to

show you today is how to ensure that Philips U is connected to Samsung

SmartThings and then that motion sensor can actually make your light turn on and

then I'm going to set a timer to make it turn off after two minutes now the one

thing to note is you will have to leave your light switch on for both of these

automations to work so keep that in mind but let's switch over to Samsung

SmartThings the application and go ahead and add our philips hue device so going

into the Samsung SmartThings application here we're going to go to the things

section and now I'm just using an Android tablet so just keep in mind that

things might look slightly different but I'm trying to show both systems here now

we're going to go to add a thing just the same as we did last time I could use

the plus but there's also the button add a thing and now it goes and it looks for

devices but what you actually have to do is push the button on the top of your

Philips hue bridge when you do that it enters a pairing mode as well and it

goes looking for these types of connections so once that happens what

you're going to find is not only does your Philips hue bridge show up but it

also shows up with all of the different lamps or lights that are already

attached with the correct names so there's the hue 70 C 5 C 1 that is my

bridge and I could rename any of these just like you saw in the previous demo

but they've all come in and now I have all these additional devices

inside of Samsung SmartThings so again I could go ahead and I could manage the

different components to each bulb if I wanted to change the light intensity I

could go ahead and change that I could change the color if I have a color bulb

and you can see that I do in this instant now what if you needed to add

another bulb to your Philips hue and this is the most likely situation and

it's actually one of the more stranger things to do when you have these two

systems connected so going into light setup inside of the Philips hue

application bottom right we go into the settings portion of the application and

then we go into light setup where it says we can add new lights and top left

you can see the button add light and then you just go ahead and search now if

you struggled here for any reason I obviously didn't because it popped right

up but if you did struggle then you could go ahead and enter a serial number

now once you tap on that bulb you can go ahead and rename it and I'm going to

call this one walk-in closet number two basically because I already have a bulb

in that room and you already see it setup so I'm just showing you how to go

through the setup process again so now that I've done that I could inside of

the hue app go into the room setup and then down at the bottom I have my

walk-in closet room and I can go ahead and I can add this new bulb to that room

now that doesn't add it to a room in any

other system it's unfortunate none of these systems are talking to each other

so it doesn't work in Google home or Amazon their voice assistant or Samsung

SmartThings it really doesn't matter now when I come back into Samsung

SmartThings you won't see that new walk-in closet

light - the reason for that is your hue bridge hasn't resynchronized and the

easiest way to actually go about that is to go into your hue bridge the device

itself so again that's hue 70 c5c one go into there and just scroll down to the

bottom this page and there's actually a refresh

button just hit that and then go back to your list of things and you saw it just

refresh there there's the walk-in closet light too so from here now we just have

to head to automation again and that's at the bottom of the application and

then we'll go into smart lighting again or we could add a new smart app as you

saw in the previous demonstration so I just went back into smart lighting and

now what I'm doing is I'm actually modifying the applet that I had

previously created so that one was called walk-in closet lighting so we'll

just tap on that and you could make a new lighting automation if you wanted to

for now I'm going to go into which device I want to control so that's the

walk-in closet light which is already on and now I'm just adding the second you

might only have one in there the next setting we want to look at is do we want

to activate a scene again no that's a little too complex for this and what do

we want to have happen we want it to turn on

so now scrolling down what you do is how do you want to trigger the action I've

already chosen motion and if you remember from the last demo we could

choose a number of different things but I'm using that motion sensor that you

saw up there and that is my walk-in closet sensor so I have to make sure

that that is chosen now the other thing I choose is turn on when motions start

so I want to have that light or those lights turn on when motion starts and

then I also want to turn off after motion stops but you can see that I've

added a delay of two minutes right now now you can also tap more options and

when you do that you can go ahead and you can choose things like only during a

certain time or on days of the week or the mode what they're talking about

there is alarms or your alarm system your security system with Samsung

SmartThings you have an if a switch is on and if

illuminance is also at a certain level or below a certain level if you'd like

this totally happen say when it's relatively dark in your

home so if you had one of those sensors you could go ahead and utilize that now

after this you're really just hitting next and you're all done here and you go

ahead and save so it's a relatively simple process and now your light will

turn on as soon as you walk into the room as long as you have that motion

sensor targeted at the right places in your room so that's it both of those

things are now set up in your home and if you have any questions go ahead leave

them down below here come the SUBSCRIBE links and other smart home solutions for

you to go ahead and watch hair on automate your life so thanks for

watching and we'll see you next time

10 Cancelled Mcdonald's Items That People Still Talk About - Duration: 13:09.

Love it or hate it, McDonald's is here to stay. And whether you have a table with your

name unofficially on it in your favorite McDonald's outlet, or you haven't been to the place

in a long time, there are certain menu items that you still remember either fondly or not.

Truth is, every now and then McDonald's would surprise us with an item that would

leave us gobsmacked. And by the time you collect your jaw off the floor, that item has vanished.

Just like that. And then you're left with nothing but memories of all the good times

you shared together and all the fireworks it ignited on your tongue. So let's take

a walk down memory lane and relive the ten cancelled McDonald's items that people still

talk about.

McSalad Shakers

Salad in a tall transparent cup with a lid like a dome, what could possibly go wrong?

Nothing. This was McDonald's way to celebrate the new millennium. Back in 2000, this innovative

way to eat salad arrived at every outlet in the country. Maybe it was McDonald's trying

to encourage people to eat more salads. Or maybe the customers were just bored with the

unwieldy bowls of salad that they've been served so far. This new approach was nothing

short of revolutionary. You opened the lid and piled up your favorite dressings as you

went along. When done you replaced the domed lid and gave it a hearty shake to spread the

yummy goo all over the green bits. Sounds easy and fun? It sure was. People started

ordering the McSalad Shakers and shaking them all over the place. Not only was this new

way to eat salad more enjoyable, the portable packages made it easy to carry salad with

you wherever you went. On a flight, in a taxi, while commuting, or just take it home. Salad

became everyone's favorite companion thanks to this novel idea. And just like that, three

years later, it was off the menu. No more cute cups of salad for us.

Arch Deluxe

Arch Deluxe was McDonald's attempt to reimagine itself as a place for grownups. Ronald McDonald

and the kid play area in the stores were associating the brand with children. So how do you appeal

to adults who don't have kids to steer them to the entrance of the arched potato fries?

Enter Arch Deluxe. The answer that adults all over the country have been waiting for.

It's sophistication in the form of a sandwich. Even the marketing campaign targeting adult

customers showed children turning away from this sophisticated food item. And if you're

wondering how showing customers shun a product would help market it, especially with a brand

that has never been remotely associated with culinary sophistication as McDonald's, your

guess is as good as mine. It turns out the kids got it right. This item which was really

nothing more than a potato sesame bun with a roundish slice of bacon and some peculiar

mustard didn't do the trick. Adults still went with the chicken nuggets and the Big

Macs leaving the pricey and high-calorie Arch Deluxe behind. Now when we remember it, it's

with amusement and nothing else.

Big N Tasty

This was McDonald's answer to the Burger King's Whooper. Competition runs deep between

the fast food giants. And when a food item works somewhere, there's no shame in borrowing

the idea, repackaging it and offering it to your own customers. Not that we, the customers,

are complaining. Back in 1997, this new addition to the Ronald McDonald's menu was added

to celebrate the opening of a theme park in California called Disney's California Adventure.

The theme park hit it big among the Californians but Big N Tasty didn't. Californication

proving too elusive for the new food item, Big N Tasty moved beyond state lines and later

spread on the global scene under a different name. Worldwide it was known as Big Tasty,

having dropped the N. But that too didn't impress customers. So the item started to

make cameo appearances on the dollar menu. Just think about that for a second. A quarter-pound

beef meat patty in a sesame seed bun along with tomato, lettuce, dill pickle slices,

onions, mayonnaise, and ketchup, all for one dollar. Sounds like a dream. But in 2003,

it was replaced on the dollar menu by the Double Cheeseburger. Finally in 2011, Big

N Tasty was no more. It still lives in our memory, though, which probably says something

about its replacement.

McSpaghetti

When borrowing ideas from your competitors doesn't work, maybe you should try getting

inspiration from different cuisines altogether. Like, say, Italian. In the late 80s, McDonald's

ventured into the sauce soaked world of Italian food. McSpaghetti was just one idea. There

was also McPizza. And you can guess why neither of them has survived even as a faded memory

in our collective conscience today. They were just not good. Let's leave it at that. When

you come for the burger and fries, then having to wait for a dish that takes too long to

prepare isn't going to go down well with the customers. Which is what happened to the

Italian flavored McSpaghetti. Another reason for the short-lived experiment not taking

off was the competition. Italian restaurants offered much more variety, flavors, and originality

than the McDonald's knockoff. Try to imagine it, burger and spaghetti? They don't go

together, do they? Which is exactly why the Italian inspired menu disappeared from the

stores just as quickly as they appeared. But if you find yourself one day in the Philippines,

you can still order a McSpaghetti and see for yourself if it was really a good idea

to serve pasta in a McDonald's outlet or not.

Hula Burger

Here's another product that was targeting a niche market. In this case, the niche market

was the Catholic market. Since Catholics over 14 shouldn't eat meat on Fridays, the chain

was having slow days in predominantly Catholic areas. Something had to be done. If you can't

bring the faithful Catholics to McDonald's on Fridays, then take an alternative food

item to the Catholics as a compromise. And that's when the idea for Hula Burger was

born. The recipe was simple. Take out the meat and replace it with a slice of pineapple.

Oh, and the pineapple is grilled of course. Stuff it with cheese in a bun and it becomes

a non-meat alternative to a regular burger. Or so they hoped anyway. But it very much

wasn't. You can grill pineapple as much as you like but it will never taste like a

juicy slab of beef. Just ask any carnivore. Eventually, the company realized that it would

take more than pineapple and cheese to seduce the faithful and pulled the vegetarian burger

off the market.

McLobster

Lobster is delicious seafood. I think most of us can agree on that. And when you want

to eat lobster you usually head to a seafood restaurant and gorge yourself on the delicate

morsels of lobster meat. What you don't do however is go to a McDonald's and order

a lobster sandwich. It just doesn't sound right. But perhaps out of boredom, someone

decided to give the McLobster the green light and see how people would take it. So what

was the McLobster? It's a hot dog bun stuffed with lobster meat and special sauce. And in

1993 was selling for $6. Sounds like a deal, right? Not really. At first, people clamored

to try the novel item on the menu. Probably they were propelled by the other seafood item

called Fillet-O-Fish which as a meat alternative was flying off the shelves. But unlike the

Fillet-O-Fish, the lobster variety didn't really catch up even with the special sauce

which itself was probably a variety of ketchup. Today you can still order a McLobster in New

England and Canada where the lobster supply is plentiful.

Angus Third-Pounder

It is well known that McDonald's takes their time when introducing new food items to their

menu. Sometimes they'd go for years running the same menu. Maybe it's because they believe

that if it's not broken why fix it. And in the case of the Angus Third-Pounder, they

were probably right. It was the first addition to the menu since Big N Tasty had made its

appearance in 2001. The Angus Third-Pounder was born in 2009. Right from the start, it

boasted a few tantalizing factors that were guaranteed to make it a success. It had full

slices of bacon, a rarity in the fast food world, and it also came loaded with glorious

rings of red onions. The idea behind it was bigger was better. After all, a third pounder

is larger than a quarter pounder. And since the Quarter Pounder was crushing it, then

obviously the third pounder would rule supreme. Only it didn't. Thanks to the size and full

slice of bacon, the Angus Third-Pounder was more expensive than other items on the menu

like the Big Mac and the Quarter Pounder. It was selling at $4.49 and that was enough

to turn off consumers. In 2013 it was phased out in American outlets even though it remains

popular in countries like Australia and Argentina.

McDLT

This one is a real classic. It first appeared in 1984. And it wasn't just the sandwich

itself which was innovative, but also the packaging was quite elaborate and, let's

just say, complex. The McDLT belongs in the same family as Big N Tasty but was a decade

older. But unlike Big N Tasty, McDLT really took the innovation in packaging a bit too

far. The styrofoam box that contained the McDLT had two containers. One for the cold

ingredients and the other for the hot ingredients. The idea was you used those ingredients to

build your own custom sandwich. Use as much as you like of each container to make the

sandwich that suited you. Sounds revolutionary, right? In fact, it was really out there, it

had done away with the main rule that made fast food appealing to people. It's the

rule of pre-made and prepackaged food. A sandwich is something you unwrap and set your teeth

into. Not something you have to assemble. That simple oversight was enough to doom McDLT

almost from the get go. Another issue was the custom boxes. Styrofoam isn't exactly

environmentally friendly and the pile of waste grew with every sandwich sold. So after a

long 7 years, the McDLT was finally shelved in 1991 to the great relief of environmentalists

everywhere.

Onion Nuggets

If you like onion and chicken nuggets you're going to love this one. Who knows; maybe after

you finish watching this you'd take to the internet and call for its immediate return.

In the late 1970s, McDonald's decided to roll out this revolutionary concept and see

how the customers reacted. Onion Nuggets were just diced onions mixed with bread and fried.

In other words, the onion was getting the chicken nuggets treatment and it was loving

it. The only problem was, the customers didn't agree. The idea somehow seemed good only on

paper. During the testing stages of the new food item, the customers simply loathed the

product. The company went ahead anyway and the product didn't do quite as expected

once it hit the menu. It was discontinued in the 80s, but rumor has it that a sample

of the now-defunct Onion Nuggets still survives in Elk Grove, Illinois. We assume it's kept

under maximum security and no visitors are allowed to even set their eyes on that relic

of culinary innovation. To this day, you'll find people calling for the return of Onion

Nuggets.

Orange Hi-C

The last item on our list might still be fresh in your memory. Especially the heartbreak

it caused to millions of people who enjoyed that very soda. People just loved their burger

with Orange Hi-C. And when it was discontinued, not only did the customers complain, but even

the staff at McDonald's outlets were still moaning about it months after it disappeared.

To this day, many people are mystified by McDonald's decision to remove such a popular

beverage from their menu. At the time the company had said that Orange Hi-C was to be

replaced by another soda. Namely, Sprite TropicBerry. But the replacement process wasn't a smooth

one. Many outlets kept serving Orange Hi-C until they'd run out of stock. In fact,

people loved their Hi-C so much that they would seek out the stores that still sold

it. Since its disappearance from the menu, many petitions have appeared online asking

for the return of this orange soda. Whether that will happen or not remains unknown, but

one thing is for sure: people did enjoy their orange beverage with their Mickey D's French

fries and burgers. Who can blame them? I guess nothing is forever when it come to fast food

menu items. How long before the Big Mac disappears? Oh no that could never happen.

2004-2008 F150 MBRP 3" XP Single Side Exit System 5.4L Exhaust Sound Clip & Install - Duration: 9:36.

So MBRP's 3-inch XP Series Single Exhaust System in the Factory Side Exit Configuration

is currently one of the most affordable and one of the easiest to install all stainless

steel exhaust systems that you can pick up for your '04 to '08 Triton powered F-150 coming

in right around the $400 price point.

And you should be checking this system out if you're a fan of something that's really

affordable, of something that's going to wake up that motor a little bit more than most

exhaust systems, but you still want something that you can live with every day, especially

if you daily drive your truck.

I say that because as far as volume is concerned, the XP Series crank things up to a solid four

out of five on our loudness meter whereas most systems generally fall in the two to

three range.

Then you got some systems that are crazy five out of five like the Borla ATAK or the Flowmaster

Outlaw, but those are really for the guys and gals who want to make a scene every time

they're driving around.

Maybe that's not you.

Maybe you want to turn heads from say a quarter of a mile away, but you still want to be able

to have a conversation inside the cab on a regular basis, and if that sounds like you,

then the XP Series is the ticket.

And even though this is one of the most affordable stainless systems you can get at around the

$450 price point, because it retains that factory style configuration, it bolts up very

easily.

It retains all your factory hanger locations, so there's no custom modification required.

Now you might have to make one cut to the provided midpipe but you can get away with

doing that with a grinder or Sawzall, relatively simple hand tools.

So for that reason, I'm still gonna give the install a modest two out of three wrenches

on my difficulty meter.

I'd say it'll probably take you about two to three hours to get this thing bolted on.

Now I said that this thing is stainless steel.

It's made out of factory grade 409 stainless, which I'll show you a comparison to our original

exhaust system in a little bit, but 409 stainless will definitely stand up to all that mud,

rain, snow or whatever else you're driving your truck through.

It might develop a little bit of surface corrosion, but you should not have to worry about pinhole

leaks or anything of that nature.

And where it counts most, MBRP was nice enough to throw in a really cool polished 304 stainless

tip.

304 is definitely the best stuff you can buy and that's safe to say that where it counts,

this thing will look good for years to come.

So again, if you want one of the most affordable stainless steel exhaust system for your Triton

powered F-150 and you want to get a little bit more volume than other systems, then you

should be checking out the XP Series.

And if you decide to pull the trigger on this one, you can come back to this video because

I'm gonna show you guys what tools you need to get the job done.

I'm actually gonna walk you through that entire install step by step.

All right, guys.

To install our MBRP system, at minimum, you'll need a standard drive ratchet with a 15-millimeter

deep socket and a 5/16 Allen key or Allen head socket.

Again, depending on your cab and bed length, you may need a measuring implement and a cutting

implement just to cut that midpipe.

And optional but very helpful tools include an impact gun, some spray lubricant, a pry

bar, and a dead blow mallet.

All right, so once you found yourself under the truck, the first thing you have to do

is loosen this barrel clamp just on the Y-pipe here that connects the factory cat-back.

You'll need a 15-millimeter deep socket to loosen both of these nuts.

Cool.

Now that we've loosened up that barrel clamp, the next step is spraying down the three rubber

isolators securing the exhaust hangers on our exhaust to the vehicle itself.

Once you sprayed those down and let them soak for a little bit, I'll explain how to actually

push the entire cat-back out towards the rear of the truck so you can free up those rubber

isolators then you can pull the entire system out from underneath the truck.

Very helpful to have a friend when you get to that point, but I'll show you in a little

bit.

All right, so once you've sprayed down all those exhaust hangers and let them soak for

a minute, now comes the fun part and that's removing the cat-back and getting it freed

up.

Obviously, your truck probably has some miles on it, probably has some corrosion in there,

that's why we wanted to spray those down, let them soak for a minute.

So what you're gonna do, go ahead and grab a dead blow mallet or a pry bar or just use

your muscles.

You're gonna grab hold of the muffler, you're gonna get some leverage on it, push it back

towards the rear of the truck.

Continue doing so until all those exhaust hangers come free of those rubber isolators.

When you do that, the entire exhaust system is gonna want to drop down.

So again, it's helpful to have a friend handy if possible.

If not, take your time.

Keep a good hold on it with both arms.

Let the over axle pipe rest on the axle itself.

Continue pushing the exhaust back towards the rear of the truck.

That should give you enough room to get that midpipe down.

You should be able to pull the entire thing out towards the front of the truck and you

can shimmy it out from underneath.

Sounds a little confusing, so I'll show you how it's done.

All right, so our factory system is removed, now it's time for us to throw the new one

on.

But before we do that, obviously it's a good idea to piece it together so you can see how

supposed to fit on the truck, and clearly because this is a factory exit configuration,

it's gonna install the same way our factory system came off.

We're reusing all of our hanger locations so there's no custom modification necessary.

And the XP Series system is also made out of factory grade 409 stainless.

You can see our factory system has plenty of miles on it, but it's holding up just fine,

and we're actually on the East Coast where we see tons of snow and road salt.

So it's safe to say this thing will stand up to any abuse, especially if you daily drive

the truck or take it off-road or anything like that.

And what's more, I really liked that MBRP threw in a 304 stainless steel tip.

That's the highest quality steel you can get, so you don't have to worry about that thing

looking nasty anytime soon.

Now you may have to make some cuts to the provided midpipe here but the instructions

detail that based on your cab and bed length.

We're working with a SuperCab with a six and a half foot box, so we get to throw our midpipe

right on.

So I'll meet you guys underneath the truck and I'll show you how to get this installed.

All right, so when you go to throw your midpipe on your Y- pipe, you want to make sure you

grab that small band clamp provided in the kit.

That's actually gonna be securing the midpipe to the Y-pipe and you'll get to use that same

15 millimeter deep sockets for all the band clamps in the kit.

All right, now we can throw our muffler in place.

Before you do that, you'll need to grab two of the clamps provided in the kit and one

of those clamps is gonna be the hanger combo.

You'll slide the hanger combo into that factory rubber isolator that the original muffler

was secured to then throw that second 3-inch clamp onto the midpipe itself and you're going

to be using that one to tighten down the muffler.

All right.

Now that our muffler is in place, we're gonna throw on our over axle pipe as well as our

tailpipe.

Again, the same process as before.

Spray down that rubber isolator and make it easy to get that hanger in place.

Go ahead and mate all those slip fit connections together and make sure you got band clamps

on everything so you can tighten them down with your 15-millimeter deep socket.

All right.

With your tailpipe installed, you can throw the exhaust tip in place, and in order to

tighten down the exhaust tip, you'll need a 5/16 Allen key or a 5/16 Allen head socket.

So once you got your exhaust tip clamped down, go ahead and double check all your connections,

double check all your tubing, make sure it's not going to rattle anywhere, and that should

wrap up the install.

And that also wraps up my review of the MBRP 3-inch XP Series Single Exhaust System in

the Factory Side Exit Configuration fitting your '04 to '08 Triton powered F150.

I'm Travis, thanks for watching.

And for all things F-150 keep it right here at americantrucks.com.

Michael Jackson 'ALIVE and planning comeback' claim his pals as they back wacky theory - Duration: 3:47.

Michael Jackson is alive and planning a new UK tour, bizarrely claim a selection of his closest pals and collaborators

The King Of Pop – whose family is currently disputing multiple child abuse accusations against him – could be in hiding and hoping to return to the music scene one day, according to his former stylist, Steve Erhardt

Addressing the growing group of "believers," who think Michael didn't actually die on June 25, 2009, Steve teased that they might just be onto something

"You heard it here first, an announcement of sorts," he wrote on social media. "And in a couple of months, or latest at the end of the year, you will be receiving some very good news

And not even the family knows… but I do."  While Ernhardt never disclosed what the news would be, he further fuelled rumours in June last year, as he shared a very mysterious picture on social media

Snapping the leg of a man who sported Jack's famous white socks and baggy black trousers, he wrote: "In a recording studio, somewhere in the world, in an undisclosed location"

Steve isn't the only person close to Michael to trigger an outlandish theory, as producer Teddy Riley, who worked with him on the Dangerous album, shockingly admitted he also wouldn't rule out conspiracy theories suggesting Michael was still alive

In 2010, a year after reports of his passing, he tweeted: "If people can think Elvis is still alive why the F#*@ I cant [sic] think Michael is still alive

"  Teddy's comments came just one day after a fan tweeted him to fill him in on a theory proposed by rapper Akon

"Akon is my friend and we think alike," he added at the time.  Producer Akon also is said to have had a close relationship with Michael Jackson, even releasing a tribute song entitled Cry Out Of Joy after his passing

While MJ was alive, Akon also recorded a mix of Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' for the 25th anniversary release of his album, Thriller

When Michael Jackson's death was announced in 2009, several people were so grief stricken that they refused to accept that he was really dead

However, shutting down any mad theories, authorities officially confirmed at the time that he had tragically passed away in LA after suffering a heart attack

Further proving that the star's death was real, personal doctor Conrad Murray went on to be convicted of involuntary manslaughter
