Proving God with Science - Stupid Christian Comments #14 - Duration: 9:01.

Hi everyone, welcome back to TheVeganAtheist.

This week I deconstruct and critique a YouTube comment found on my channel in order to expose

some of the many incorrect assertions made by online theists.

But before I dive in, I wanted to respond to some of the many comments in last week's

video.

Thank you all for you kind words, and yes I am definitely alive.

I also wanted to reassure my fans and subscribers that while I have changed as a person over

the year I was away, I am still very much an atheist, vegan and skeptic.

The changes have been more in mindset and approach rather then a fundamental abandonment

of who I am.

Anyways, lets get to it.

When some one makes a positive claim (and it doesn't matter what the claim is) and that person has a desire

to convince others to their way of thinking, they have an obligation to provide sufficient

evidence that demonstrates the truthfulness of it.

Atheists, generally speaking, don't make the claim that no god exists or is impossible

to exist, since that is a positive claim that needs defending.

We don't try and use science to prove god's non-existence, because proving the non-existence

of anything would be an impossible task.

Instead, skeptic atheists regularly use a method of observation, testing and 3rd party

verification to uncover natural discoveries.

Using this approach to unsolved mysteries, we come up with explanations that are grounded

in realty.

Humans once believed that lightening was a sign of an angry all powerful being, but now

we know better.

When robust scientific theories are formed to explain some element of the universe, we

move further away from the need to appeal to a mystical unsubstantiated abstraction.

Freedomfighter777's assertion that science supports a god's existence is ungrounded.

Science deals with coming up with the best explanation that fits the evidence.

The evidence for a god existing is poor at best, and should be dropped until such a time

when good evidence is forthcoming.

Now, lets get into the claims regarding the sun's position in relation to the earth.

It took me all of 20 seconds to do a google search to come up with the following information.

The distance between the earth and the sun fluctuates as we travel around it.

At our closest position, the sun is 91.4 million miles (147.1 million km) away, while at its

furthest it is 94.5 million miles (152.1 million km).

This variation of approximately 3.1 million miles (5 million km) is far greater then the

millionth of a decimal that was claimed by Freedomfighter777.

There really is no excuse for this level of ignorance in a day and age where information

is so readily available.

In regards to the big bang and the chaos that ensued, scientists today believe the start

of our universe happened 13.8 billion years ago.

That is a heck of a lot of time for the universe to settle down a bit and form some semblance

of order.

Like so many theists before him, Freedomfighter777 continues the tradition of inventing crackpot

notions of how the universe operates in order to straw man the rational scientific explanations

and make god come out as a winner.

If i could pose some questions to Freedomfighter777, and those who believe as he does...

a) Please provide evidence for the assertion that a big bang type event should be popping

up every moment.

How have you come to that conclusion?

b) What day was it that astronomers announced they were stopping their work?

And c) What good evidence is there that leads

you to the conclusion that humans have been engineered?

Lastly, in this final section of my critique, I will address the final sporadic ramblings

in rapid succession.

1)The universe was formed by a seemingly natural process known as the big bang.

Their is no evidence of intelligence behind the process or within it.

2) Nobody of worth is saying the universe and the life found within it is an accident.

The cosmos operates under certain constraints.

With an inconceivably large amount of time and matter, natural process emerge.

3) The Angry Birds video game is the result of intelligent minds because all past examples

of video games were made by intelligent minds.

We know something was created by contrasting it to what naturally occurs.

What would you contrast to nature in order to determine that IT was created?

Remember complexity is not a sign of intelligence.

4) We definitely do not agree that everything points back to a god, since atheists represent

a fairly large (and growing) portion of the human population, we do not accept the poor

evidence and arguments for a god's existence and finally

5) The big bang theory is currently the best explanation we have.

It is the end result of multiple lines of verifiable evidence and can stand up to honest

scrutiny.

A god has not been demonstrated in any way, and any attempt to do so has been met with

failure.

Health Benefits of Drinking Warm Water | Useful info - Duration: 5:50.

Health Benefits of Drinking Warm Water.

please leave your comment after watching this video.

Drinking water is essential to a healthy body and lifestyle.

Many health and skin experts agree that drinking water is important to keep your body free

of toxins, make you fit and give you soft and youthful skin.

In fact, starting the day with a fresh glass of water is a routine that many health-conscious

people follow daily without fail.

Well, drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning is a very good habit, but it

is important to know whether it is cold or warm water that you should prefer.

Physicians recommend drinking warm water in the morning, even though it may not suit your

taste buds.

You can drink it plain or with a little bit of lemon juice for taste.

Drinking warm water is not limited to just the morning, either.

Read on to find out how it can be helpful at other times of the day and for alleviating

various ailments.

Here are the top 10 health benefits of drinking warm water..

Improves Digestion.

To improve digestion, start drinking warm water regularly.

Tepid water stimulates the digestive gland to function properly.

It helps break down the food in your stomach, so that the digestive system does not have

to work as hard and it also uses less energy for the digestion process.

Plus, it helps the body get rid of excess stomach acids as well as neutralizes digestive

juices.

A 2012 study published in the Journal of Neurogastroenterology and Motility reports that hot water swallows

can help people with esophageal motility disorder, which causes difficulty swallowing, regurgitation

of food and a spasm-type pain.

Those suffering with poor digestion should start as well as end their day with a glass

of hot water.

Relieves Constipation.

Regularly drinking warm water on an empty stomach can help regulate your bowel movements

and fight constipation.

Constipation occurs due to less water content in the intestines, which causes the stools

to turn hard and dry and makes them difficult to pass.

Drinking warm water helps your digestive system maintain regularity.

It helps decompose any remnant food and makes bowel movements smooth and less painful.

It will also reduce abdominal bloating, pain and discomfort, mostly associated with constipation.

To fight constipation, it is recommended to drink a glassful of hot or warm water every

morning on an empty stomach.

For added benefits, add honey or lemon juice to warm water before drinking it.

Soothes Sore Throat.

Sore throat is a common problem characterized by pain and irritation of the throat and is

caused by a cold or flu infection.

Drinking warm water soothes a sore throat and makes you feel more comfortable.

The warm water helps dissolve the thick mucus and removes it from the respiratory tract.

In addition to drinking warm water, you can also drink other warm liquids like herbal

teas.

Plus, you can gargle with a glass of warm water mixed with a half teaspoon of salt to

treat a sore throat and throat infection.

Treats Nasal Congestion.

Drinking warm water is an excellent natural remedy to treat nasal congestion.

Warm water will help cleanse the nasal cavities, bringing instant relief when suffering from

congestion.

When you drink warm water, it loosens the mucus buildup in your nasal cavities and respiratory

tract.

This in turn lowers the chance that viruses or bacteria will grow there.

Also, it supports detoxification, meaning your body will be able to get rid of toxins,

which in turn will accelerate the healing process.

Sheds Excess Pounds.

Those who follow a strict diet and exercise regimen for weight loss can benefit greatly

by drinking warm water rather than cold water.

Warm water increases the core body temperature, which in turn increases the metabolic rate.

An increase in metabolic rate will help your body burn more calories.

Hot water even helps break down fat deposits in the body.

For added benefit, drink a glass of warm water with a little lemon juice added to it daily

in the morning.

It will further help break down the adipose tissue, or body fat.

Plus, the pectin fiber in lemon will help control food cravings, which means you will

stop munching on fatty and unhealthy foods.

Detoxifies Your Body.

Drinking warm water can also cleanse your body by flushing out harmful toxins.

When you drink a few cups of warm water, it leads to a rise in body temperature.

This makes you sweat to cool down.

Sweating helps flush out toxins trapped in your body.

Daily consumption of warm water also detoxifies your skin, thereby lowering your risk of skin-related

ailments like acne breakouts and skin blemishes.

Drinking water, in general, is also good for the purpose of detoxification and removing

impurities from the body.

For better results, add a squeeze of lemon juice to a glass of tepid water before drinking

it.

DEUS EX MD GIVEAWAY, MUSLIM BAN AFFECTS GAMING, SWITCH, BIOWARE + - Duration: 7:33.

Hello everyone and welcome to This Week in Gaming, the friday news show that keeps you

informed on the gaming world.

If you enjoy the friday show please be sure to drop a like,

let's get into it

<title>

So first up congrats to José K who won last weeks giveaway of Dead Effect 2,

You should by now have a steam gift email.

And for this week I've decided on a AAA title to see how it goes,

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, A comment was made not too long ago about it being weird that

Adam Jenson now does youtube videos,

So it's kind of a perfect pick.

To have a chance of winning a copy of Deus Ex Mankind Divided simply click the gleam

link in the description where youll be able to enter.

Now that that's out the way

<title: Muslim ban affects gaming>

Now the muslim ban, or to be more specific,

the ban on travellers from 7 of many countries that have a primarily Muslim population,

Its affecting everything, even gaming, with game developers among the 'all walks of life

folk' who are now having real trouble getting into the U.S. for their jobs,

Publisher 'Devolver Digital' has anounced some plans to help developers unable to enter

the U.S. for the upcoming Game Developers Conference in San Fransisco.

Providing Gaming PC's and VR Headsets to help promote their games for them, obviously, they

can't help everyone, but it would seem they will do what they can,

It's really good to see people helping other people like this and the promotion Devolver

will get due to this act was clearly helpful in their decision to do so,

but I encourage spreading of the word for this as they deserve all the promo they can

get.

<title: Switch Luanch Release List is Weak>

Many have been saying they think the launch list for the Nintendo Switch is a little weak,

And sure, it is a bit, but I remember most consoles used to have fairly bad offerings

with 1-3 great games and lots of fluff,

In this regard, to me at least, it seems fairly standard.

The President of Nintendo 'Tatsumi Kimishima' spoke on this subject in a recent earning

briefing, expressing how this is all to plan,

as most of the time, big launches end with a large lack of sales and slow down on playing

the consoles as there is a huge gap between launch and more games being released,

Nintendos staggered release is to combat that and have a more consistent release schedual

for games.

This strategy seem the smart way to go for me, sell few sell high is always a good strategy

if you can pull it off,

by staggering the release lists and having less choice early on, they will most likely

increase their overall sales as a lot of people will commit to a certain amount of game before

they even pick them.

So will be more likely to buy those extra titles they wouldn't have chosen if there

was a bigger flashier game available.

Later on, when the big flashy titles come out, they will still buy them as they wanted

them in the first place.

Also in this briefing Tatsumi Kimishima anounced that the In developement list for the Switch

is now more than 100 games

So don't let the launch list fool you, there'll be plenty of games to play.

<title: Bioware teases new Game>

Bioware has been teasing us a little with it's new game, estimated at an April 2018

release, they tease it will be a new type of game we have never played before,

They are mixing genres and building a whole new franchise, They are calling it an action

adventure, and they are saying f%^& all about it.

With that mystery, their obvious passion, and their history in video games, I am getting

a little excited for what this may be, let's hope it doesn't get overhyped and we get ourselves

an awesome game next year.

<title: Fallout 4 and Skyrim Updates>

Bethesda are all about the updates at the moment by giving out a free update labelled

as a love letter for Fallout 4 that is essentially an uber texture pack, giving PC users and

Playstation 4 Pro users largely increased visual fidelity,

The PC update is recommended for those with 1080 graphics card, this is a bit friggin'

steep and it will most likely work on less powerful cards, I assume they are accounting

for high setting 4k here, where as 1080 and 2k users will probably be fine with a 970,

980, 1070 etc, though this is my assumption, my logic for these thoughts are simply that

they have to give a recommended that fully works no matter what with a large room for

error to prevent fallout-

huurururururur

-from fans when everything isn't playing on ultra 4k dual monitor with the PC in an oven.

Either way, the damn things free, so try it out.

Skyrim's update is much smaller with a few quality of life changes and some hotfixes.

Check out the full list of changes in the article linked in the description.

<title: For Honor BETA>

For Honor is being released on the 14th of febuary and right before it, Ubisoft is holding

an open BETA on PC, Xbox One and PS4,

The BETA will be active between the 9th and 12 of Febuary,

And will have 9 heros and 4 modes for play with the full release having 12 Heroes and

5 modes

Link in the description for more info if you want to check it out.

<title: World of Wacraft>
