I Thought I Was Going To Die That Day, I Have Forgiven Burna Boy" – Mr. 2kay

In a chat with Saturday Beats, the artiste said that he was very happy to be out again after he was closed to death.

In an exclusive chat with Saturday Beats, the singer, for the first time, recounted what happened that night.

He said;.

"When they were beating me, I thought I was going to die on that day.

When you see a man with a gun, anything can happen.

They were debating on whether to shoot me or not.

They were debating over my life if I should live or not.

It was one of them that said he was my fan and he loved my song.

That person did not touch me; he only tied me to a chair and was calming me down.

It was God that saved my life because when I first saw them, the first thing I shouted was Jesus and I believe that was what saved me.".

He said his fellow colleague Burna Boy had called him to apologize but he just wants the singer to be very truthful and state his part in the case.

He expressed amusement that the case was in court without either Burna Boy or his manager's name in the suit.

"What I said was that Burna Boy has called me and he apologized without admitting that he was involved in the assault on me.

He told me that he had no hand in it.

I had to reply him that I never fingered him; it was his manager and the boys that fingered him.

All we need is honesty and the truth.

He cannot apologize to me over a matter that he has no hand in.

"At the end of the day, we all want this issue to go with this year and start the New Year on a fresh note.

I was supposed to release my album this year but we could not do so because of this whole issue.

"Next year should be a very busy one for me and I don't want to spend my time at a police station or pay numerous visits to the commissioner of police.

I just want to have peace.

Burna Boy is still my brother any day and I have forgiven him but what we want is the truth.

If he calls me and opens up, we have said that we would settle it out of court.

It is possible for us to have a song together in the future if he wants it because he is my brother.

I swear with my life that I hold nothing against Burna Boy," he added.

The singer reiterated the fact that while he was being attacked, he was robbed of a wristwatch which he said cost about N9m.

He added that he didn't care if anyone believed he owned such an expensive piece of jewelry.

"Everything they stole from me was more than N9m; my wristwatch alone cost N9m.

Everything stolen from me was over N10m.

I wear an Audemars Piguet watch.

I am a brand ambassador for an American alcoholic brand, Christian Brothers.

For me to get an endorsement with the brand, you should know that money was involved.

Also, my song, 'Count it all Joy', had the highest number of downloads from MTN, not just in Nigeria but MTN as a whole.

I go for events, I have godfathers and some footballers are my friends as well.

"I have people that could bless me with anything they want to gift me.

I am from Rivers State and I do a lot of gigs; the music pays me a lot.

I get royalties from my records playing in the UK as well.

My record label is not broke so I wonder why people think I cannot afford a wristwatch worth N9m.

I have a father who is my boss and he can afford to buy anything for me.

It is my choice to spend as much as N9m on a watch and I owe no one any explanation.

It is an investment and I can take that watch to the bank.".

Even after Chelsea took the lead Forster didn't let it affect his confidence and pulled off a great flying stop from yet another ferocious shot from Alonso.

We Ripped Across Germany And The Swiss Alps In A Cadillac ATS-V part 2

Upon reaching Zurich that afternoon, both Raz and myself were running on fumes.

The initial high of being abroad, and driving the ATS-V on the autobahn had totally worn off, so we agreed that naps were needed, then we'd go out to explore the city a bit.

The naps turned into light comas, and all I can tell you about Zurich is they have a nice Opera house and you can find decent pizza at 11 p.m.

I've always found planning ahead to be a highly overrated practice.

Our technology-filled world allows us to form an outline for something we want to do, and then easily make adjustments as necessary.

If you're enthralled by the unknown as I am, then you know how welcome it is to be able to do this.

No need to book hotels months or weeks in advance, just see where you end up after a day doing what you need to do.

With that strategy in mind, we set our sights on two of Switzerland's best roads, Klausenpass and Furkapass.

The idea was to cross over Klausen to warm up, then get to Furka in the late afternoon when the light would be better.

Nothing can really prepare you for the Swiss Alps.

I've spent more time on, in, and around large mountain ranges than most people, and I was still speechless when the Alps filled the windshield.

Although it never had to intervene, I'm glad the ATS-V was equipped with forward collision warning because my head was on a constant swivel.

Crossing through an idyllic valley, we passed through village after village, stopping only for the finest of photo opportunities, such as a C3 Corvette wearing an era- appropriate airbrushed paint job.

I could have stayed in Glarus for a couple days, but the mission was to drive, so drive I did.

Even when you're on nobody's schedule but your own, time management is still crucial, and we were determined to not get caught up in one spot too long.

The thing about the unknown is there could always be something more incredible right around the bend, especially when you're in the Alps.

This became painfully apparent as I chased an Audi R8 down the southern section of Gotthardpass as sunlight quickly faded from the sky.

Half an hour earlier and we would have been in position to utilize the backdrop at its peak.

Instead, I got to see how much of an edge the mid-engined Audi had on the ATS- V, and on the two-laner with big sweeping turns the answer was, not much.

I got the feeling that the ATS-V was a car that really does rise above its class in terms of performance the first time I drove it at Willow Springs in 100 degree-plus heat.

Now having wrung it out on a couple of Europe's most demanding roads, I'm confident in saying that it's a bargain, so long as you go easy on the options you can choose from.

Still, there's one option that Cadillac has to start offering ASAP, for all V-Series cars, if they want to truly be in the "M" and "AMG" conversation.

The ATS-V deserves an active sport exhaust like the one in the Jaguar F-Type, a button that cranks the volume when screaming noise is called for.

It's way too quiet for a car that has so much character.

It'd be one thing if Cadillac was going the sleeper route, but there's nothing remotely sleepy about the look of the ATS-V.

It's a angry-looking car, so it should have an angry-sounding exhaust to match.

Raz and I had been discussing this at length during the first day of driving, and were completely vindicated by some Austrians on the second.

Following a heart-pounding assault on the western side of Passo dello Stelvio that involved driving through some of the thickest fog I've ever encountered, then subsequently punching through it to be bathed in golden evening light, we spotted a 964 Porsche 911 Cabrio and a Ferrari 308 GTS.

When we pulled into the parking lot at 9,045 ft above sea level, the group of three immediately approached to get a look at what we were driving.

All of them admired the design, were impressed by the seats and the paint, and then they asked us what it sounded like.

There is no look of disappointment like that of an Austrian automotive enthusiast listening to an ATS-V revving hard.

Driving This JDM Honda Civic Type-R Was As Perfect As I Imagined part 1

Having owned three different generations of the Honda Civic Si, two S2000s, and one Integra Type-R, you could say I have some passion for Honda's cars.

Like everyone with a pulse and a passion for cars, I was bummed Honda didn't ship the Civic Type-R stateside, and always wanted to drive one.

Each Gran Turismo version I bought would end up with one in my garage.

But now that Honda is finally—finally!—bringing that red 'R' badge to the U.S.

market, I wanted to see what we missed out on with those cool hatchbacks from my high school years.

With the original EK Type-R never being officially sold in the States, you have to get creative to drive one over here.

Luckily, I know someone in Central Texas who owns a 1997 JDM model, who also previously owned a DC2 Integra Type-R, and also wanted to own a proper right-hand drive Civic Type-R that reminded him of his former Type-R experience.

The owner isn't new to importing JDM cars, and previously owned an S15 Nissan Silvia.

I can't share how he got them imported, nor how he actually got a legit Texas license plate on this Civic, but who really cares? Don't sweat the details in life, you'll live longer.

The important part is that this car is no garage queen.

He has been daily driving it for the few years he's owned it, and he gave me the chance to tell you what that's like.

We'll start with arguably what matters most—what's under the hood.

The B16B engine was a big part of the sport compact tuner buzz in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

It produces 185 horsepower at 8200 RPM and 118 lb-ft of torque at 7500 RPM.

It revs high (that's the whole damn point), makes a mechanical sound that newer cars aren't allowed to exhibit, and surprisingly, has quite a bit more flexible torque than the ordinary single-cam Civics of that era.

The only trouble is that, as anyone even remotely familiar with Honda will tell you, you have to get on the VTEC to really make it go fast.

The Type-R redlines at damn near 9000 RPM, and doesn't hit its happy spot until after 6000 RPM.

Once it does, you get the reminder of what older VTEC engines were known for, and it surges forward as well as any four-banger can.

Red valve cover-equipped Hondas get something special underneath.

The torque is much more linear than the spec sheet indicates.

The louder exhaust cam roar once you hit VTEC is addictive.

You keep wanting to downshift to get the revs up in that range, to get that tone and pull you don't get in your normal Civic EX that everyone had in the 1990s.

I was impressed by the pull at mid-range RPMs.

It reminded me of my '98 Integra Type-R's power band.

Yes, I know that they're the same family of engine, but the Integra gets way more attention from others.

Oh, how I miss that sensation.

Not much power is needed to have fun in a car that weighs so little, and it goes from 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds and runs the quarter mile in 15.3 seconds.

At 2,400 lbs, this thing is light.

It only has two airbags, and doesn't have traction control or any real comfort features.

The owner added a Hondata ECU, Comptech air box, and a Mugen header hooked up to a cat-back exhaust, so it does have a couple more ponies than the stock model, but it's a subtle upgrade.

He insisted on keeping it closer to factory settings for long-term reliability while making a little more fun to drive.

While it's a 1997 model, he updated the front clip and headlights to the 1999 spec.
