Mohamed Salah's goalscoring exploits are even more impressive when compared to previous Reds - Duration: 5:56.

Mohamed Salah's goalscoring exploits are even more impressive when compared to previous Reds

Our Egyptian King is well on course to break a multitude of records both in England and across Europe, explains Alex Malone.

I'm lucky enough to have seen all of the greatest Liverpool strikers in action all the way back to Roger Hunt when I was a small child. 'Sir Roger' was footballing royalty, and one of the most natural goal scorers imaginable.

Then came my childhood hero, Kevin Keegan. Often (wrongly) considered only for his dynamic pace and hard work, Keegan was an overall brilliant forward and goal scorer. You don't win the Ballon d'Or twice by simply running around a lot.

Even so, Keegan, who claimed 8th spot in '100 players who shook the Kop,' had a modest season-high goalscoring record in 1972-73 of 13 in 41 games. His total across all competitions that season was 22 in 64 games.

Keegan left, and in came King Kenny from Celtic and some Welsh kid named Ian Rush from Chester City.

In 1978-79, Kenny scored his highest ever number of league goals; 21 in 42 games. His best ever total came in his first season at Liverpool; 31 goals in 61 games.

Rushy, arguably Liverpool's greatest ever goalscorer to date, scored his 'best ever' 32 goals in 41 league appearances in 1983-84. He scored 47 goals in 65 appearances that season.

In his first full season in 1981-82, he scored 17 goals in 32 appearances. Since then, we have been blessed with a catalogue of other excellent strikers:.

Michael Owen's best ever league return was 19 in both the 2001-2 and 2002-3 seasons. In those same two seasons, his best ever total was 28, twice, in 43 and 54 games respectively.

Amazingly, he won the Premier League golden boot twice – in 1997-98 and 1998-99 by scoring what is now a modest 18 league goals in both seasons.

Robbie Fowler scored 30 or more goals in his first three seasons as a Liverpool player. He remains the only player to have achieved this feat for any club in the history of the English top flight.

He managed 98 goals in 116 games across those three seasons. Fernando Torres burst on to the Liverpool scene in 2007. In the 2007-08 season, he scored 24 goals in 33 league games, giving him instant hero status at Anfield.

It was to be his best ever season with the Reds, scoring a total of 33 goals in 46 games. Torres' acrimonious departure to Chelsea was offset by the incoming Luis Suarez, although it was anything but 'instant' success.

It's often overlooked or forgotten that Suarez' first full season for Liverpool saw him net a rather underwhelming 11 goals in 31 league games in 2011-12.

Once he found his mojo, however, he was sensational; 23 goals in 33 games in 2012-13, followed by 31 goals in 33 league games on 2013-14. 31 goals across an entire season was his best ever in a Liverpool shirt.

Now, there is Mohamed Salah. In the 30 league games he has played he has scored 28 times. He has scored in 20 of those 30 league games.

He has scored in both games against Spurs, both games against Arsenal, as well as against Man City, Chelsea and Everton.

Only two Liverpool players (Salah & Suarez) have scored in excess of 25 league goals in a season in the last 22 years. In total, he has 36 goals in 41 games this season.

Only three players in Liverpool's history have scored more than 30 goals in a debut season; Torres with 33 (46 games) and Dalglish with 31 (62 games) are the other two.

So, already, it is far and away the greatest debut season in Liverpool's 125-year history.

The greatest goal scoring season EVER in a Liverpool shirt is 47 in 65 games by Ian Rush in 1983-4. Rushy also scored 40 in 57 in the 1986-7 season.

Roger Hunt managed 42 in 46 in 1961-62 and 37 in 58 in 1964-65. Salah needs just one more goal to move ahead of Fowler and Gordon Hodgson who scored 36 times in 1995-96 and 1930-31, respectively.

It's worth repeating – in 125 years, only Ian Rush and Roger Hunt have ever scored more goals in a single season than Mo Salah has this season – and it's still only March.

His current goal-scoring ratio of 0.88 goals per game has only ever been bettered by Sir Roger in that '61-62 season when he managed 0.92 goals per game. Rushy's greatest ever season was 0.72 goals per game.

Let's not forget also that Salah has achieved this without routinely taking penalties. Of his 36 strikes this season, only one has come from the penalty spot.

He has scored with his left foot, his right foot and his head; he has volleyed them in, passed them in and blasted them in; he has scored from inside the box and outside the box.

To put his achievements in to a more global perspective, let's look outside of Liverpool.

He's currently 4 goals clear of Harry Kane in the race for the golden boot. He's 7 clear of Sergio Aguero. In fourth spot is Raheem Sterling, who has scored 13 goals less than Salah.

He has exactly double the number of goals scored by Jamie Vardy and Romelu Lukaku.

He needs 4 more goals to become the highest goal scorer EVER in a 38 game Premier League season. The current record of 31 is held jointly by Suarez, Shearer and Ronaldo.

His biggest goal 'drought' this Premier League season has been two games. He needs seven more goals to become the highest goal scorer in any Premier League season irrespective of the number of games.

Alan Shearer and Andy Cole both scored 34, but both were achieved in 42 game seasons.

If those numbers aren't incredible enough, Salah's unselfishness means he has also 'assisted' another nine Liverpool goals. Only De Bruyne (14) and Sane (11) have more. In total goals + assists, Salah is miles ahead of anyone with a quite staggering 37.

Across Europe, his stats make for even more impressive reading. Across all top European leagues, no-one has scored more goals than Salah. He is 3 ahead of Messi, and 4 ahead of Immobile, Kane & Cavani.

Lewandowski is 5 back; Ronaldo is 6. Salah has over 8 hours less game time than Messi. Our Egyptian King is well on course to break a multitude of records both in England and across Europe.

Premier League Player of the Year? Of course he is. It's not inconceivable that his excellence can see him win the Premier League Golden Boot, the European Golden Shoe AND the Balloon d' Or this season.

That's how extraordinarily good Mo Salah has been.

Liverpool "confident" over Jorginho transfer and Arsenal midfielder linked - Duration: 1:57.

Liverpool "confident" over Jorginho transfer and Arsenal midfielder linked

A summer move for Jorginho has again been touted by the media on Thursday, as well as potential interest in Arsenals Jack Wilshere.

The middle of the park is an area the Reds must improve in ahead of next season, despite the imminent arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig.

All of the current options are perfectly adequate, but it can feel one-dimensional on a bad day, with no sprinkling of truly top-class magic.

Emre Cans future also remains up in the air, with a move elsewhere looking likely, which will only increase the need for new midfielders at Anfield.

Highly rated playmaker Jorginho has been heavily linked with the Reds, and according to the Mirrors David Maddock, they are confident they are in the frame for the £50 million-rated Napoli midfielder, albeit as a Can replacement.

Man United and Arsenal are also believed to be interested in snapping him up at the end of the season, but Liverpool are in pole position.

If that is a rumour which has been doing the rounds for weeks, reports of a move for Wilshere is one that has come out of left-field.

Again, it is the Mirror reporting it, although it is stated that Liverpool are only really monitoring the situation.

The likes of Everton, Juventus and AC Milan are thought to be further down the line, should the 26-year-old England international leave Arsenal this summer.

For all of Wilsheres natural talent, it isnt really a move that makes much sense, given his dreadful injury record and lack of dynamism.

He cannot be trusted to stay fit, and there is still a feeling that he flatters to deceive, in terms of influence and consistency.

Jorginho would be a superb signing, however, and if Can is to leave, he would prove to be an excellent replacement with his class on the ball and tactical awareness.

How Mohamed Salah has won over all doubters with stunning Liverpool campaign - Duration: 3:35.

How Mohamed Salah has won over all doubters with stunning Liverpool campaign

Mohamed Salah has proved himself the real deal since joining Liverpool from Roma, winning over even the most skeptical of fans, writes Gareth Bell. Last weekend I had an epiphany: Mohamed Salah is an extremely good football player.

I appreciate this is a conclusion most reasonable people will have arrived at some time ago, but for a good portion of this season I have watched him slink and slide his way to 36 goals with an unwarranted dose of cynicism.

There was something about him—his demeanour on the pitch, his seeming ambivalence to the magic he was conjuring—which just didn't sit right. He didn't seem to believe he was that good, ergo neither did I. That is, until Sunday morning.

Maybe it was the haze of a hangover, maybe it was the fact I was rewatching Match of the Day for the third time, but somewhere between him chopping back onto his right foot and Miguel Britos arse hitting the Anfield turf, a wave of realisation came over me.

This isn't a player who doesn't believe in his own ability. This is a player so sure of his own ability that the details don't matter.

This is the ringer who turns up on a Sunday morning, borrows a pair of boots, scores the winner and is never seen again.

This is the lad in work who smiles politely at tales of your Sunday League exploits, only for you to later find out he made over 300 pro appearances and was capped at U19 level.

This is a man so unfathomably good at what he does, that it has become what he is. Salah is an enigma.

Over the past decade, Liverpool's revolving door has seen a steady stream of world-class performers pass through. The two with whom Salah's impact is most-easily comparable are Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez.

All three reached 30 goals in a single season. All three quickly heard their names booming from the Kop. All three have cemented their place in Anfield folklore for decades to come.

Two of three left the club in acrimonious circumstances—let's hope that's where the similarities end.

But there is one glaring disparity between the two former players and the Kop's current hero. At times, Torres and Suarez seemed to succeed on sheer force of character alone.

Nando's fierce athleticism reduced formidable defenders to rubble (hiya Nemanja!). Suarez played with such a maelstrom of animal aggression that teams were beaten before they set foot on the pitch (hiya Norwich!).

In short, they both tried really hard. Salah, well, he's different.

Never have I witnessed a player so ruthless yet so bashful—tying defenders' legs in knots, comforting them with a wry smile and hug afterwards.

His apology to Orestis Karnezis after Saturday's haul wasn't patronising, it was the gesture of a man who doesn't know how to patronise. He is confidence without arrogance, talent without pretence, success without trying.

I've always had a preference for blood-and-thunder football, the type that lauds the trier over the chancer, rolled-up sleeves over rolled-down socks. I like my players with mud on their knees and a furrow in their brow.

There are a few notable exceptions to this—the likes of Graeme Souness, for example—who managed to traverse the two with an iron-fist-in-velvet-glove eminence.

Salah is all velvet glove, and I now realise how misguided I've been. His current form can't go on forever, and there will inevitably come a time when his golden touch escapes him.

When that time comes, I hope fans and pundits alike afford him the same good grace as he's shown his vanquished opponents, and remember fondly this patch as purple as the bins in the alleys of L4.

Long live the King of Egypt.

Learning on the job & watching Lahm and Alves — Trent Alexander-Arnold on the switch to right-back - Duration: 3:31.

Learning on the job & watching Lahm and Alves — Trent Alexander-Arnold on the switch to right-back

Trent Alexander-Arnold has provided critical insight into making the grade at Liverpool after switching from midfield to right-back. It has been a meteoric rise for the 19-year-old, who was a virtual unknown outside of Merseyside this time last year.

He has made 22 first-team appearances and scored three times this season, however, and this week he trained with Englands senior squad for the first time.

Alexander-Arnold has now looked back at his first call-up to Liverpools first-team, back in August 2015, when he was just 16 years of age.

The youngster had caught the eye of then-manager Brendan Rodgers, leading to his U18s boss Alex Inglethorpe to feature him at right-back in a pre-season tournament—the role Rodgers was likely to need cover in.

com, Alexander-Arnold spoke about facing Swindon Town on his unofficial debut, and the help provided by Inglethorpe beforehand.

After the United (U18s) game, Alex Inglethorpe came over to me and said, 'I've had a call from Brendan saying he might need you for Swindon. I think he needs you to play so make sure you're ready.

It's still not 100 per cent.' So I played the afternoon game not knowing whether I was going or not.

I played at right-back to try to become as familiar as possible, because I think it was my third or fourth game as a right-back. I didn't really know the position.

I remember Alex talking me through the whole game—he made sure I was ready if the chance came.

We trained at Melwood on the Saturday morning and flew down to Swindon on the Saturday night, stayed over and played on the Sunday. I played around 60 minutes and I was made up.

I was grateful for the chance and looking back, it was a really big opportunity for me..

Further discussing his switch to becoming a right-back, the boyhood Liverpool supporter described how he adjusted to the role, endlessly studying the likes of Daniel Alves, Philipp Lahm and many others.

It wasn't just right-backs. It was defenders in general—their body movements, when to drop and push forward, all kinds of things, he added.

I slowly got eased into right-back. That's when, as a collective—me, Critch and Alex—sat down and discussed future plans. We came to the point that right-back was probably going to be the easiest route into the first team for me.

Joe [Gomez] was still badly injured, [Jon Flanagan] Flanno was injured and it was just [Nathaniel] Clyne at the club. We looked at it and thought, 'there is Clyney and probably just one U23s right-back in your way now'.

You've got three starting central midfielders for the first team, two or three on the bench and three U23s central midfielders playing.

I was playing for the U18s at the time and there were one or two on the bench there as well. I thought, 'it's probably not the best idea'.

I was getting used to and enjoying the right-back role, it was something I wanted to do. You can't really waste time.

At 17, to hear you are one or two spots away from being in and around the first team gives you motivation..

It feels like an inspired decision for Alexander-Arnold to focus on being a right-back, having become a key member of Jurgen Klopps squad this term.

The pace and end product he gives down the flank adds another dimension to Liverpools attacking play, and he is improving defensively all the time.

Whether right-back remains his position throughout his career remains to be seen—many are tipping him to go back to central midfield one day—but to be trusted by Klopp at such a young age says a huge amount about his progress.

Ultimate SLAM? Combining Events, Images, and IMU for Visual SLAM in HDR and High-Speed Scenarios - Duration: 3:01.

Today, visual-inertial odometry systems still fail in high-speed and high dynamic range scenes.

In this example, the camera was shaken fast in an office.

Because of motion blur of the camera

and strong light changes in the scene, no state-of-the-art visual-inertial

system is able to track the camera accurately.

In this work, we propose the first system

that can use together an event camera, a standard camera and an IMU to perform robust, 6-DoF

visual SLAM in high-speed conditions and high dynamic range scenes.

Event cameras are novel sensors that measure only motion in the scene.

When we keep an event camera steady,

only motion in the scene generates events.

However, when we start moving

an event camera, gradients in the scene become visible.

Compared to standard cameras, event

cameras have very low latency, they do not suffer from motion blur, and they have a very

high dynamic range.

For these reasons, they are well suited for visual odometry.

Let's see how UltimateSLAM works.

In a first step, the events are grouped in batches and

used together with the IMU data to synthesize event frames that are free of motion blur.

Then, visual features are detected and tracked,

both in the event stream, and in the stream of standard frames.

Finally, the feature tracks from both data sources are fused with the

inertial data using nonlinear optimization, yielding new pose estimates.

We evaluated our pipeline on multiple sequences, and compared it against a state of the art

pipeline using frames and IMU (in green), and one using events and IMU (in black).

Each of these plots shows the translation error as a function of the travelled distance.

Our pipeline (in blue) has consistently lower errors,

showing it can successfully fuse events, frames, and IMU.

On average, using events provided a boost of accuracy of 85 % over

a frame-based approach only.

We also implemented UltimateSLAM onboard a

quadcopter equipped with a DAVIS camera, and an onboard computer.

In this video, the quadcopter autonomously performs multiple circles.

To show the impact of using an event camera,

we will soon switch the light off in the room.

As you can see, despite this drastic change of lighting, and the very low-light conditions,

our pipeline is still able to provide reliable state estimates,

thanks to the high dynamic range of the event camera.

When the light is on, the standard camera

provides good quality images which UltimateSLAM uses for tracking.

As soon as the light is off, the standard camera becomes blind, but UltimateSLAM can

still track features in the event stream, which allows to keep a stable state estimate.

Why I took so long to realize I'm a trans lesbian | Riley J. Dennis - Duration: 9:39.

Hey everyone!

So today I wanna talk about why it took me so damn long to figure out that I'm trans and a lesbian.

Because I came out when I was like, 22, which in the grand scheme of things is pretty young

-- I know trans people who've come out in their 40s or 50s or 60s -- but in retrospect,

I was in the closet for a lot longer than I could've been.

Like I just believed so many misconceptions that stopped me from ever even being able

to consider that I might be trans or a lesbian.

And that sucks, because while I'm in a really good place now, I do wish that I would've

been able to learn about myself earlier on and come out sooner -- because I wasted so

many years knowing that something was off but not really knowing what it was.

So I wanted to make this video mainly in case there are any young folks out there who are

either in the closet or don't even know that they're in the closet yet.

If I had seen trans lesbians on the internet talking about this stuff when I was younger,

I probably would've figured it all out way before I was 22.

So if I can help even like one young trans lesbian discover her identity, then I feel like I've done my job.

But first, I want to tell you all about this video's sponsor, which is the Dollar Shave Club.

I know that shopping for shaving products can be annoying, especially if you're trans,

because it's all so gendered.

Like, the store I used to go to had completely different aisles for "women's" shaving

stuff and "men's" shaving stuff.

And like I knew that women's razors are usually just the same, but pink and overpriced,

but I also didn't want to be a trans woman shopping in the men's aisle, you know?

So it was frustrating, but Dollar Shave Club can remove all that anxiety from the equation

by just mailing you their shaving products that are totally gender neutral.

Plus, their grooming products are just amazing and high-quality -- like the razors are so

smooth, they leave my legs feeling a million times better than they did before.

Their shave butter is fantastic, and the lavender body wash smells so good.

You should definitely give them a try, and for a limited time, DSC's 'Sh*t, Shower,

Shave' Starter Set is available for only $5.

This starter set features their Executive Razor which has their premium weighted handle

and several extra easily replaceable razor cartridges.

It also comes with 3 trial-sized versions of their most popular products that help you

stay fresh and clean, including their Shave Butter, Body Wash, and One Wipe Charlies' Butt Wipes.

After the first box, replacement cartridges are sent for only a few bucks a month.

This offer is exclusively available at dollarshaveclub.com/riley.

So you can use the link in the description and get started on improving your shaving routine.

Anyways, back to why it took me so long to figure out my identity.

I mentioned that I didn't see any trans lesbians in the media -- and I think that

was a pretty major factor.

The only depictions of trans people I ever saw were extremely negative and demeaning

and not framed as something you would ever want to be.

Like I know there was a super transphobic scene in one of the Ace Ventura movies, which

I'm sure I saw as a kid, and so when you grow up seeing that this group of people is

universally hated and everyone thinks their disgusting, you don't exactly picture yourself as one of them.

In fact, you try really hard to distance yourself from that.

I can't think of a lot of other specific examples but I know there were several movies

or TV shows where I only saw trans women depicted as sex workers, and even then being demeaned

not only for their gender but also for their job.

You know they weren't being given complex storylines, they were usually just the butt of a joke.

And I didn't see myself in those characters, so there just weren't any depictions of

trans people in the media where I was like, "Yeah, that could be me, that feels like how I feel."

But I also knew that I didn't fully identify with the boys I saw in TV shows and movies.

But, I do remember that when I was younger, I saw two girls kiss on TV or in a movie or

something, and I identified with that.

That felt much more right to me than any guy kissing a girl.

But, women kissing each other in the media is often hyper-sexualized for men, and it's

like a common trope that straight guys like to see women kissing.

So for a long time, when I thought I was a guy, I just kinda assumed that I liked it

in that kind of sexual way -- and I didn't realize that I liked it because I identified

with it, and I found it romantic and sweet and cute.

Because I saw that as my future.

It was like the first time that I really felt like something made sense in regards to gender and relationships.

But because of men's hyper-sexualization of women, I couldn't figure that out.

Like, there are a lot of ways that the patriarchy fucks with us, and one of those ways is in

confusing the shit out of trans lesbians.

Because it's hard, especially when you're younger to untangle gender and sexual orientation.

I remember specifically thinking in high school, that I couldn't be trans because I didn't like men.

And in retrospect, that's ridiculous.

Obviously, trans women can like women, or men, or multiple genders.

But I didn't know that.

All I knew was that every trans woman I'd ever seen in the media or heard of somewhere had liked men.

And so trans lesbian wasn't even in my vocabulary.

But the thing was, I knew something was off -- and other people did too.

Like, throughout middle school and high school, I was bullied because people thought I was a gay boy.

The people around me, somehow, picked up on the fact that I was different in some way

-- and I think the only label they had for that kind of difference was gay.

So for a long time, I thought I had to like guys.

I tried really hard to like guys.

Everyone said it so much that I tried to force myself to believe it as well.

I thought I might just have some deep internal homophobia and that's why I didn't like

guys, and if I could just get past that, I could be my real self -- which according to

everyone around me, was a gay guy.

But, the thing that was different about me wasn't that I was a boy who liked boys,

it was that I was a girl who liked girls.

I really didn't like guys at all, and I wasted a lot of time trying to.

And when I was young, cisgender and gay could be an option, but transgender and gay wasn't really an option.

I didn't see it as one, and no one around me did either.

But when I did finally come out in college, a few people said something along the lines

of, "Oh, that makes sense," like something clicked into place and they realized that

that's what was different all along. And I liked that.

I liked feeling like I finally solved the puzzle of my identity.

A lot of trans people say they knew since they were 4 years old or whatever, and that

is a totally valid experience for them, but that wasn't my experience.

Just like the cis gay people who have repressed their sexual orientation to the point that

they couldn't even admit it to themselves until much later in life, I didn't have

the tools or the language or the representation that I needed to figure who I was.

But now that I do, everything feels so good.

I don't know how to express in words the feeling of finally figuring out who you are

after 20 something years.

I know there are trans people who've gone much longer, and I send all my love and support

to them, but it's just such a euphoric feeling.

It's like a couple decades of confusion hovering like a fog in the back of your mind,

and you know that something's there but you can't quite figure out what, and then

when you do, it's like the fog has cleared and everything feels sharp and in focus.

And there were a lot of other barriers along the way to me getting here.

I had a lot of misconceptions in my head about transitioning, but now, after having been

out for about 3 years now, I feel absolutely on top of the world.

I'm more confident than ever in who I am, and I'm so glad that I found my way here.

Because I think living an entire life with that fog in my head would've made me miserable.

I mean that's why representation and visibility and legal protections and access to transition

services are all so vitally important for trans people -- because it allows us to live happy fulfilled lives.

And I know that there are so many trans people who are still in the closet or who can't

access the transition services that they need and that breaks my heart.

We have so far to go.

I don't want you to think that just because my story has been this positive arc that like

the fight for trans rights is over.

It took me what felt like a really long time to figure out I was a trans lesbian, but it

was probably sooner than the trans lesbians who came before me.

And all I want to do is to keep improving on their legacy and making things easier for

the trans lesbians that are growing up today.

I mean, obviously I want to improve things for all trans people, but my coming out as

trans and my coming out as gay are so interwoven that I just can't separate them, and that's

the struggle that I know first-hand.

And even though I'm in a really good place now, there are still times when I'm not.

Like every trans person, I've questioned myself and doubted myself a million times,

and I don't think that ever fully goes away.

The constant vitriol that trans people are so often subjected to can be really hard to

take, and it can gaslight you into thinking you must be something else even though you

know you're really not.

So if you're a trans lesbian and you're ever not 100% sure, that's okay.

That's a reasonable thing to feel.

I feel like there's so much pressure on us to know our identities and know exactly

how to articulate them, and that can scare people.

It can also keep people in the closet by not allowing them to experiment or branch out.

I didn't tell anyone I was trans until I was 200% sure, and that meant I did a lot

of figuring out my identity completely alone.

Discovering who you are is a process, and I wish we could share that process with people

without needing to label everything so specifically all the time.

Labels are great when you want them.

I love having words that encapsulate who I am, but they feel so permanent, and I wish

we let people explore their identity free of judgement or longterm commitment to specific labels.

I think being able to more openly question my gender also would've helped me come out

earlier, because I was keeping all of it to myself and trying to figure it out all alone.

But, it's also funny because I started growing my hair out as soon as I realized I might be trans.

It wasn't like, I figured out I was trans and then I started growing my hair out -- I

just had this small feeling at some point in college when I was like, I might be trans,

but I really don't know, so I'm just gonna grow my hair out just in case -- because I

knew if I ended up identifying as trans, I would want longer hair.

And this was, I think like two years before I actually came out.

So it's hilarious for me to look back on pictures and see me growing my hair out, and

just thinking like, "Wow, you were on to something and you genuinely had no idea."

Oh, and the last thing I wanna mention that made it harder for me was that I'm also non-binary.

I've mentioned this in videos before, but I feel like my gender overlaps both with female

and gender-neutral, so I'm a non-binary woman.

I don't identify as a binary woman.

And so I think that also put me off from identifying as trans for a long time, because even once

I knew what being a binary trans person meant, I didn't have any idea about nonbinary identities.

And so binary trans woman never felt completely right to me, and when I learned about nonbinary

stuff, it suddenly felt a lot more comfortable.

So yeah, that's basically everything about why it took me so long to realize who I am.

There were just a lot of hurdles all kinda stacked on top of each other, and for the

longest time I was just running through them and not even trying to jump over them.

But I've finally made it over all of them, and I really hope that from here on out, things

only get better for the trans lesbians growing up today.

TRANS GUY ANSWERS MOST GOOGLED TRANS QUESTIONS - Duration: 10:20.

G-goo-guh-guh.

Yuh-googling.Googling.

Goo-goo-guh-googling.

[intro music]

Hi I'm Jackson Bird and today we're going to be doing some Googling.

So earlier this year, Buzzfeed put up a video called "Trans People Answers The Most Googled

Questions About The Trans Experience."

But here's the thing: they didn't.

Didn't answer the most googled questions, that is.

Instead, they answered some frequently asked questions about trans people that are really

important for people to understand and they put together like a really educational and

diverse and heart-warming video.

Blah blah blah.

You see, since Buzzfeed has spent years doing a more shallow version of MY series, Will

It Waffle?, I thought I might as well do a more shallow version of THEIR video in which

I answer the actually most googled questions about trans people.

Let's get started!

Why... do trans... formers hum?

No.

Trans... there we go, transge– Every single one of these says "transgenders."

"Why do transgender have surgery?"

Transgender people - because transgender is not a noun or a plural noun - should not say

"transgendered" or "transgenders."

Transgender people.

It's an adjective.

But transgender people might have surgery or might not depending on how they feel about

their body and the situation they're in at life with regards to their medical history

and their finances.

But sometimes, we might choose to have surgery so that our physical body can reflect more

the way that we feel on the inside.

And no, there is not just one surgery.

There are tons of different kinds of surgeries – different types of top surgery depending

on your identity and what you're doing with your body.

Different types of bottom surgery.

Things done to the shape of your face and your hair and your scalp and all kinds of

surgeries.

There are all kinds of surgeries.

"Why do transgenders like mermaids?"

Again, transgender people.

And this is something I've heard a lot about uh a lot of transgender kids, especially trans

feminine kids really like mermaids because mermaids don't have any bottom genitalia.

I mean, that's not they wh- that's not the reason that like a kid would tell you, if

you asked a child.

But it's the leading theory about why a lot of trans kids tend to like mermaids.

A lot of trans boys and men tend to like wolves.

In fact there was a guy at the gym the other day that I like kind of thought maybe was

trans.

And like I would never go up to someone and say like, "yo dude, you trans?" because that

would just make anyone feel bad to get clocked.

BUT I was like kinda looks like he might be trans.

And then I saw he was wearing a wolf t-shirt, and I was like, "yep!"

Why do trans guys like wolves?

Not sure.

I think the werewolf thing may be y'know "the time of the month."

That's at least one reason I think wolves resonate with me.

Can't speak for all trans men.

"Why do transgenders think they are?"

We think that we are trans because we've done a lot of thinking about it and a lot of educating

ourselves on what it means to be trans and what gender means and... so we're usually

pretty sure that we are trans.

Not always, but we're at least making the most informed decisions that are best for

ourselves, at that time.

Let's move onto the next question!

"Why do transgender use they?"

Well not all transgender people do, but some people prefer to use a gender neutral pronoun

and the most commonly used gender neutral pronoun is they/them/theirs as opposed to

he/him/his or she/her/hers.

It's a pronoun that is often used by people who are agender or genderqueer or some type

of gender-nonconforming.

And a lot of people think that it's kinda weird or, or foreign to them or they don't

know how to conjugate it.

But it's actually pretty simple.

And you actually already use it.

I'll link to some great videos on using they/them/theirs pronouns in the description box.

"How do trans... formers work!"

Nope.

Oooh!

"How do trans men have sex?"

Great question!

If anyone wants to tell me...

No (laughs).

"How do transgender women have sex?"

It depends what they're working with, what their partner or partners are working with,

and what their preferences are – and what their partner or partners preferences are.

And you know what?

I appreciate that this is a commonly googled answer because that means is that there are

some people that are trying to do their research and maybe a few less people just askin' us

what's in our pants all the time.

"How do transgenders work?"

Well, so this is a complicated question for me because I'm kind of like a freelancer at

this point and so I... have a pretty atypical schedule.

So how I work and earn my paycheck is a little bit different than I would think other transgender

people.

But y'know really we're just like cis people and we work the same way that cis people do

in whatever kind of jobs we are fortunate enough to get.

Well, that is one difference is that in most U.S. states we can still be fired just for

being trans.

So... woo!

"How do transgenders feel?"

Aw, I'm feeling alright today.

Ah, here we go.

"How do transgender pee?

How do transgenders urinate?

How do transgender males urinate?

How do transgenders feel about the bathroom issue?"

Oh my god!

"How do transgenders get wet?"

What is– I don't!

– Ahh!

I don't wanna think about why that's such a frequently asked question.

Clearly, lots of people curious about how we pee.

I'll tell ya how it works, this is some secret trans knowledge on ya, alright?

So, basically.

You've drank a lot of liquids, starting to feel some pressure, usually what I do is I

will get up, I will find the nearest toilet, which usually is at my private residence.

If I'm out in public, sometimes... it can get a little hairy.

And I mean that literally in men's rooms sometimes.

I then enter the facility with a toilet, I then relieve myself, and then I wash my hands.

Specifically, I wash my hands for about twenty-five seconds.

I do this by singing the alphabet twice.

And then, I shake my hands off fifteen times and then use a single paper towel, folded

over, to dry them perfectly according to the TED talk, "How to dry your hands."

Again, I can't generalize that this is how ALL transgender people pee, but that's how

I do it.

Let's try "Is."

"Is trans... fat good for you?"

No, it's not!

And we should ban it.

"Is transgender surgery covered by insurance?"

Sometimes!

More and more in the United States, health insurance is covering various transgender

procedures.

Anything from mental health services to getting hormones to certain surgeries.

I know in New York City, the Affordable Health Care Act, so health insurance through the

Marketplace or "Obamacare" is supposed to cover gender-affirming medical care.

However, just because it's supposed to doesn't mean you can always get through all the red

tape.

And, when insurance covers something, that doesn't mean that it's free.

You're still going to have your deductible.

You're still going to have co-pays.

"Is transgender in the DSM?"

So the DSM is the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.

I think it's done by the American Psychology Assocation, the APA.

Every couple of years, they come up with a new edition of it.

And basically, when things are in the DSM, that means that based on certain criteria,

you can be diagnosed with certain things like depression or bipolar disorder.

And if you get that diagnosis, then through your insurance, you are eligible for certain

healthcare.

Gender Dysphoria is in the latest edition of the DSM, which means that currently in

many cities and states across the U.S. you have to have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria

in order to be eligible for certain gender-affirming procedures or to have your insurance cover

those procedures.

There's a lot of debate about whether or not it should be in the DSM.

And this kind of revolves around whether being trans should be considered a mental health

condition.

Or if it's a physical condition.

Or if it's just a thing that you are.

Some people will say it's good to have it in the DSM because that's how we can get these

medical procedures covered by insurance.

Other people will say that it actually makes more gatekeeping.

That is to say, uh you have to go through more and more hoops to be able to be allowed

to get the hormones or the procedures that you need.

So, it's uh... it's a touchy subject.

It's a tricky one.

Alright let's just run through some of these - these quick.

Let's do some lightning round ones.

"Is transgender a noun?"

No, it's an adjective.

"Is transgender natural?"

Yes.

Been occurring for centuries.

I think it occurs in other animals.

Totally natural.

"Is transgender heriditary?"

Don't know the answer to this one, but I... uh maybe?

Kinda seems like perhaps there's something going on.

We really don't know the science behind why and how being trans happens.

Just like we don't really know the science behind why being gay or having any other kind

of sexual fluidity happens.

It just does because it's a natural thing!

Just a natural part of life that over the centuries we decided wasn't natural and we

had to put all these labels on things and so now we all have identity crises and have

to figure out another meaning of why we are who we are.

I said this was going to be a lightning round...

"Is transgender non binary?"

So they are not synonymous.

Many non-binary people do identify under the transgender umbrella, but not all of them.

And not all transgender people are non-binary.

Being non-binary means that you do not identify in either the male or female binary of the

two "classic" genders.

"Is transgender a phase?"

No!

I mean, it could be, but like even it is, you should still respect what people wanna

do so like, y'know sometimes for some people, but generally no.

Not really a phase.

"Is transgender a choice?"

No!

That one, definitely not.

"Is transgenderism a word?"

Uh, yes, technically.

Kind of out-dated.

It's one of those older medical terms that is still a useful piece of vocabulary and

identity for some people, but is kind of... becoming expired for the upcoming generation.

And, can be problematic sometimes so if you do not identify with that term yourself, after

lots of research and self-reflection, if you are for example, a cisgender person.

Don't use that word.

Cool.

Alright, I think that's about enough of that.

Thank you for coming along on that little adventure with me.

Uh, I hope you either learned something or got a laugh from it.

If you want to see more videos like this, please do hit that subscribe button, hit the

thumb's up button, leave a comment, share it with your friends, thanks for doing all

the things.

Specifically, in the comments today, I want you to google "is" and then insert your name

and see what populates.

So for me it would be, "is jackson bir–" actually let's look.

"Is jackson bird... injured!"

So there's a Australian cricket player with the same name as me.

So in the comments, I want you to leave what the auto-population is of your name, or someone

who shares your name, so leave that down in the comments so we can continue our Google

fun.

Before I go, I want to let you know that my podcast Transmission is officially returning

on March 31st, Transgender Day of Visibility.

It's coming back for its second season.

Really excited about it.

I hope you are too.

Rafaela Vasquez, Uber Driver in Deadly Crash: 5 Fast Facts | Heavy.com | SML TV - Duration: 11:48.

Rafaela Vasquez, Uber Driver in Deadly Crash: 5 Fast Facts | Heavy.com

Tempe Police Department/Arizona Department of Corrections Rafaela Vasquez while driving the Uber (left) and in a mugshot (right).

Rafaela Vasquez, 44, was the back-up driver who was in a self-driving Uber when it hit Elaine Herzberg on Sunday night, authorities shared.

Herzberg was crossing a street with her bike when she was hit, and it appears that Vasquez might have been looking down shortly before the accident.

Uber has temporarily suspended all self-driving vehicles in Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Toronto, and the Phoenix area while investigating the crash.

Here is what you need to know about Rafaela Vasquez.

A Video of the Accident Showed Vaquez Looking Down Right Before Herzberg Was Hit.

During a video of the accident released by Tempe police, you can see the driver looking down periodically, including just before the accident.

The video shows both an interior and exterior dashcam view of the accident, but it cuts off just before the crash due to the disturbing nature of the footage.

It's not clear at this time exactly what Uber's policies are for their back-up drivers and whether they are supposed to keep their eyes on the road at all times just as if they were actually driving.

Sgt.

Ronald Elcock said it wasn't apparent that the SUV tried to brake while it was approaching Herzberg.

He also said that impairment did not appear to be a factor for Vasquez or Herzberg.

You can watch the video below. Warning: The video may be disturbing.

It shows the immediate moments before the crash, including the woman walking in front of the car just before impact. .

Herzberg was hit while pushing her bicycle, with shopping bags on the handles, across the street.

She was homeless.

Vasquez Was in Prison for Attempted Armed Robbery in 2000, But Had a Clean Record Since Her 2005 Release.

Vasquez was in prison for three years and 10 months for convictions related to attempted armed robbery and unsworn falsification, AZ Central reported.

The unsworn falsification charge was based on Vasquez giving false information while applying for government benefits.

The attempted armed robbery happened in July 2000.

According to police, she and an accomplice conspired to rob her employer, Blockbuster, and a co-worker of a $2,782.98 work deposit.

According to court records, a probation officer said that Vasquez realized she had surrounded herself with people who encouraged her to take those actions, and she needed to change the people she allowed in her life.

She was released in 2005.

Her criminal record was under a different legal name of Rafael Vasquez.

She has had a clean record since her release.

Uber's Hiring Policy Is To Give People Second Chances.

An Uber driverless Ford Fusion drives down Smallman Street on September, 22, 2016 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Uber said the driver met its hiring requirements, which state "Everyone deserves a fair chance." An Uber spokeswoman added: "Vehicle operators in Arizona undergo a screening process that checks local, state and national databases and meets local requirements by law.

The vehicle operator met these requirements.".

Although Uber's general policy is to give everyone a chance, that policy must also adhere to specific state laws.

In Colorado, the company came under scrutiny for hiring felons because state law prevents rideshare companies from hiring anyone with felony convictions, among other limitations.

Uber said at the time that a process error led to background information not catching people who should have been disqualified.

In California, the company's policy is that drivers are disqualified if, in the past seven years, they have felony convictions, or convictions for violent crimes, DUIs, drug-related driving offenses, sexual offenses, child abuse or endangerment, or for speeding more than 100 mph.

Even under that policy, Vasquez would have qualified because her conviction was more than seven years ago.

But in Arizona, Gov.

Doug Ducey signed an executive order banning companies from asking about criminal records in initial job applications.

Criminal records should not disqualify candidates from getting a job interview, his order went on to say.

However, certain convictions can still preclude an applicant from getting a particular kind of job.

The Tempe Police Chief Said Uber Was Likely Not at Fault Because the Driver Didn't Have Time to React.

An Uber self-driving car drives down 5th Street on March 28, 2017 in San Francisco, California.

Tempe Police Chief Sylvia Moir said on Monday that Uber was likely not at fault, but they weren't ruling out possible charges against the backup driver, The Verge reported.

Moir said that from the footage, it appeared that the driver had very little time to react, and the sound of the collision was her first alert about what happened.

"The driver said it was like a flash, the person walked out in front of them.".

Brian Walker Smith, a law professor at the University of South Carolina who studied autonomous vehicle liability, had a different opinion, Bloomberg reported.

It was too soon to draw any conclusions from preliminary information, he said, but the lack of braking might indicate an issue.

"It's possible that Uber's automated driving system did not detect the pedestrian, did not classify her as a pedestrian, or did not predict her departure from the median.

I don't know whether these steps occurred too late to prevent or lessen the collision or whether they never occurred at all, but the lack of braking or swerving whatsoever is alarming and suggests that the system never anticipated the collision.".

The Intersection Where Herzberg Was Killed Can Be Confusing to Pedestrians.

Pilot models of the Uber self-driving car is displayed at the Uber Advanced Technologies Center on September 13, 2016 in Pittsburgh.

Officials said that Herzberg was walking her bike across the street, outside a crosswalk, when she was hit, ABC 6 reported. The crash occurred near Mill Avenue and Curry Road, ABC 15 reported.

The Uber was heading north and the woman was crossing from west to east when she was hit.  You can view the location on Google Maps here.

The vehicle was traveling 38 mph.

Police said the speed limit was 35 mph, but a Google Street View shot of the road from July showed a speed limit of 45 mph.

Moir faulted Herzberg for crossing outside the crosswalk.

But others have said that the area sends mixed-messages to pedestrians, since it has a brick-paved walking path that stretches across the median, and a sign warning pedestrians not to use the path.

Just a couple weeks ago, AZ Central reported that Arizona has the highest rate of pedestrian deaths in the country.

For the first six months of 2017, Arizona had 1.61 deaths per 100,000 people.

There were 224 pedestrian deaths in the state in 2017.

This is the first fatal accident involving a self-driving car and a pedestrian.

The number of fatal accidents involving autonomous cars is far fewer than number of fatal accidents involving traditional cars.

The 100 - Reaction Trailer: Saison 5 - Duration: 5:58.

Hey Grounders, I hope everything's fine.

We're here today for a new video.

A trailer reaction of the season 5 of "The 100"

I'm going to put on my earphones, watch the screen,

And you'll see the reaction of me watching the trailer.

So... Let's go !

Okay, so know we see an irradiated planet.

My god, Earth is totally irradiated.

That's insane..

The trees and everything...

Polis...

No...

Arkadia...

I'm very very shocked.

Ah !

Hum okay !

We know now why Eden was...

... Hum Eden was....

"Created" if we can say that.

Oh... She drew everybody !

That's so so awesome.

Really.

Waouh.

Okay, so...

SpaceKru turned off the ring so that Eligius can't see them.

Okay, what is this kind of ship ?

That's totally insane.

Okay so that woman has a really big scar there..

What ?

Waouh.

They just hit Clarke ?!

Okay, so actually Raven says that it's been 6 years since she tries to find a ...

A way back down and that ...

She has to try.. anyway.

Oh.. They came out of the bunker. Octavia is.. really really badass.

Just like Clarke.

So that's the people of the ship which are cryogenized..

Waouh, what the hell is that ?

Okay so there were a map with Polis and the Green Zone

Which is the zone of Clarke survives.

There are 240 kilometers separating them.

I think there will be a lot of fights in this bunker.

Gaia is such a badass.

Octavia and Bellamy...

Oh... What the fuck ?

There were dead bodies around them with blood or.. I don't know

A blood's pact between Octavia and Madi...

Madi commander ?

Waouh.

Okay !

It was emotional.

I do not know if we can say that.. but it was really incredible.

There are things that it shocked me like the plasma weapon ..

Like the guy, he pulls his thing with .. I don't know

with a kind of shockwave who arrives and who explodes.

There was Raven who has a big necklace and says "no"!

The kind of water in the guy that moved there what was that?

It was... Okay...

It was... What the fuck ??

So now we know why Clarke survived in this valley.

I think it's a valley that has been ...

who wasn't burn by the radiation at all

because it was protected by mountains around..

In any case it's... wow.

I think it's going to be really badass...

In fact now the 100 have become the Grounders.

And the others.. I don't really know who it is.

We know they're just coming forward first apocalypse.

That's weird when I say that.

But it's like that...

I don't know, well, I think I might do an analysis video of the trailer,

in detail.

Don't hesitate to subscribe to our accounts Twitter.

They will be in the description.

And subscribe to the Facebook page of the videomaker.

To Dylan's account on Twitter and my account and that of Guillaume.

They will be in the description.

Don't hesitate to tell us what you thought of the trailer.

So I wish you,

to have a good evening, good day... as you want.

And see you very soon for a next video.

The golden hilly landscape | Landscape photography - Duration: 4:51.

Good morning!

Another trip today! I am super excited! It's really interesting

We have beautiful clouds

everywhere around ...

... the sun will rise!

I'm on a place where are some hills.

I was expecting a bit of fog.

I saw it. But I could not stop

because it was on a fast road.

There was no place where I could stop with my car.

So, I have a little wander around everywhere here.

And I found it's aoliens with a few houses bottom!

I think it might be nice to photograph them.

I will settle down quickly!

I do not have a lot of time! I have 10 minutes left ...

until the sun will rise!

What I would like is, to use theses lines

from tractor wheels

as a guideline to my image.

to wind turbines.

Awesome! The clouds fascinate me completely!

A beautiful landscape!

Do you see? Pastel pink-blue color!

I really like!

Since this field is in the hollow,

I must wait until the sun is higher for this landscape to be lit!

The sun's rays are currently illuminating a landscape behind my back.

I wish to enjoy the beautiful weather and I decide to head to the point,

from which I will have the view of the valleys immersed in the honeyed light!

While hoping that the lighting conditions will continue,

and that I could, much later, still photograph the wind turbines with this illuminated landscape!

It's towards this direction!

I will move to the other side

and I will try to take the bell tower, which is near there!

Just avare that the sun is not in my axis. Because I do not have the degraded filter.

... and I think that here I will have the time to create a little later.

Luffy and Zoro arrive at the north slope | One Piece 12 | Multi-Sub | HD | #92 - Duration: 3:39.

Let's go, guys! Captain Kuro is waiting!

W-What the--?!

Let go, you bastard! Let the hell go!

Damn you! Take this! Take this!

I... can't...

...let you get past this slope...

Because I only lied, like I always do...

So the village is going to have just another ordinary day...

So I absolutely won't let you pass!

Damn kid! Shut up!

Damn girl!

Oww!

Are you--?!

That's enough now!

Hey, you guys!

Quit bothering with them and get going already!

Have you forgotten that this is Captain Kuro's plan?!

If anything happens to throw his plan off,

he'll kill every one of us!

Do you understand that, you dumbasses?!

H-Hey, now...

Yeah, hurry to the village!

S-Stop...

Dammit...

Stop!

Stop... Don't go to the village!

Shut up!

Stop! Please! Please don't kill everyone!

I love this village! I want to protect it!

W-What is this, Captain Jango?!

Nobody mentioned guys like them were in the village!

About time...

What were those unchallenging guys just now?!

Don't look at me! I'm not satisfied, though!

Nami! How dare you kick me down there!

Usopp, you jerk!

You didn't say which way was north!

Who're they?

They're late...

They all know full well what happens...

...to those who upset my plans...

They think they can take their sweet time...

If they've already forgotten that fact...

...then I'll slaughter them all!

It is Klahadore from the mansion!

Why is he walking toward the shore,

this early in the morning?!

Elon Musk: Wohin fliegt Starman? - Clixoom Science & Fiction - Duration: 3:17.

Where does the driver's seed actually go?

The first production car and space is the asteroid belt

Landed on the mars or would someday

fall on the earth many of you had the theme synonymous whatsapp wanted and what you want there permanently I like to report

Often there are the best topics suggested by you as he ends my number

At the end of the video, welcome to pixum science fiction and the e on mars chronicles

So it has all the masc a last comics ladies before or is it now completely

unspectacular fly through space until the end of the day first

unspectacular is obviously different from all things related to this story absolutely

Understatement with his tesla roadster as a test for the first flight of the rim navy has us all masc all so right

Braid what an incredible idea and what unbelievable pictures the whole thing

Crowned by a little pop culture with the hitlers guide to the galaxy aboard the music space oddity

From david bowie from the stereo and of course a towel in the

glove box was absolutely crazy, but where does this unusual spacecraft now actually from the inside musk were so far only

Contradictory statements to hear mast to mast just dice and all this does not seem

To vote for Jonathan McDowell of the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The has analyzed the previously known data and now knows where the tester is on the way and one thing is certain

nothing will change that

fuel consumption the course can not be changed

The tesla is limited to his calculations in an elliptical path around the sun and everything here

So in the solar system through the area flies planets asteroids and any celestial bodies while the sun window point is something

Outside the Mars orbit, in the early summer there is then

The mars orbit reach without, however, restrict to an orbit, the next would be Mars on 8 October

2020, however, are still too far away at a distance of seven million kilometers to land on the mars

that would not be desirable

In order not to contaminate Mars with substances from the earth either way, the Tesla will probably make its tracks for many centuries

Maybe at some point distracted but one thing is certain he poses a danger he is not there for that he is much

Too small to fall on the earth he would simply burn up we would not notice it on the south by southwest

Now the new milestones have announced that the big falcons rocket will be the first short flights

Already in the first half of next year, doing so would be the first

interplanetary space font of humanity absolutely in the schedule

It will be and remains so exciting what if he wants to first learn new and to all other topics then my phone number ends

at

Whatsapp so here you go then you learn from me in front of everyone else from the latest video guaranteed you can there directly through me in the

So participate in the editorial of the war and suggest more topics or vote

And co-determine what their clicks around so happened because direct wire to me just click on it and of course not with the

Exactly with the bell forget it goes on with it also click on 1000 rockets to Mars otherwise until then

stay tuned
