I work in a wonderful restaurant, Compère Lapin.

It has some of the most amazing food in the city.

and I want to create cocktails that go well with that.

And the best way to create cocktails

that are really approachable and easy with food

is to make them low-alcohol cocktails.

And the best way to do that is to incorporate beer.

Whatever we put in the cocktails,

people have this great trust in us,

so sometimes they're surprised to find out...

So after --

...that there's beer or cider...

Okay.

...in the cocktail that they're enjoying.

Sure.

There's a long history of beer cocktails.

The Black Velvet is a cocktail that is

just usually Guinness and Champagne.

Okay.

And I just added a little lemon and orange zest to it,

just to kind of brighten up the flavors a little bit...

All right.

...and to make it a little bit more modern.

Smells very citrusy.

Yeah.

Nice citrusy cocktail.

Really nice, huh?

-Yeah, really nice.

-Do you want to try another one?

-Yeah.

Cocktails that have citrus in it are shaken and not stirred,

just a kind of a traditional cocktail basic rule.

Okay.

Yeah.

But rules were always made to be broken,

so this is actually a lime-juice cocktail

that we're gonna stir a little bit.

And we're kind of leaning in the direction of a shandy.

-Let me see what that...

-They use a lot of bitters

and, uh, different liqueurs.

How about a little IPA on top of that too?

-There you go.

-Now the last element.

Again, we're kind of just layering these flavors on top.

And then we have a beer cocktail

just kind of created before your eyes.

This is something a little lighter, more refreshing.

Nice and dry.

Something that'd be really good for the weather.

It's like winter but summer.

-Mm-hmm.

-It's weird.

It's got Christmas in it,

alongside sitting-on-a-beach tropical fruits.

I like the little topper of the IPA on top.

-Little topper of IPA?

-Yeah.

Yeah.

They have wonderful flavors that work in cocktails.

Instead of watering it down, you're beering it down.

I like it.

You're like a master blender

and, I mean, i-it's amazing.

These are the best beer cocktails I've had, so...

website who didn't use his real name he's too embarrassed

I mean and he signed his name "Tim" you see and he felt that he could talk to me

because clearly from the letter and this whole text a part of me mail address he

used which is clearly a fake intentionally because he doesn't want to

attract that he doesn't really he just wanted to tell someone okay that in 2006

when he was 18 he took his foundation after years of his youth shortwave

listening and having a laugh very proud to get a foundation license you know in

the UK at 10 what you know license a baby license if you like hey never at

the time actually to study for the intermediate or always full license

because sadly very quickly after achieving his little live stream he

found hostility it may even reading between the lines here a little bit of

racism I don't know he was he genuinely felt terrible for even joining the club

and then and it says he and within a couple of years he completely lost

interest completely gone right because he's experienced with that awful that he

just packed her up he said he editor ft 8 5 7 which is a yaesu radio handheld

some co líneas took it all down putting it off he throws complete waste of a

thousand pounds in Tim I know that's not your real name but you know I would've

felt exactly the same yeah now he's some reason bumped into my channel

he sees that possibly amateur radio can be fun

but he asked quite serious questions

have people finally accepted the m3 m6 licenses with some degree of dignity yet

have gone by now and he's probably wondering you know has has life moved on

agree so first off has the world changed a bit I the reason why I found is so sad

him and that's not your real name but the reason I found that so sad is that's

how I felt okay however I was luckily for me driven enough to be able to kind

of look past him and there was some I hadn't actually considered VHF very much

as I was studying my license so when I got VHF as he happened I thought it was

quite good fun but yes like you I suffered hostility I got told to you

know go away in very rude terms several times and I literally laughed out I

asked somebody a question once and that person didn't come back to me he went to

his friend and said what do you think he's asking and his friend said I don't

know is something about this oh yeah that's what I thought yeah well I don't

know and they're just ignore be yeah so a message food has life changed I

honestly think in the last 12 years the good news is and this is terrible to

might say but some of these people have literally died off and number one number

two is there's been enough foundation

licensees to warrant the fact they are a high proportion of the makeup these days

so I've run a Facebook group okay for if in the UK I started it I was very like

touch now I'm still the owner apparently and most of the cool science coming

through are either M sixes or to me zeros you know now as it happens there

are some superb the old advanced now called full British you know respected

nice people on this channel and if you've read Tim through the comments you

will see these people there and I can only apologize from your ik for your

experience I had nobody to take my I didn't know where to go when I felt like

that I just would shut down for a couple of weeks to be honest and these people

don't realize it's not funny is it they don't realize the damage they're doing

so we've gone there's a lady I know on this channel who's been told to eff off

on air when with her grandson there I know of another woman who has only ever

had one qso after studying for home foundation and that qso she was told to

pack her bags and get out lobby and if you know or you have had the inclination

to behave like this you need to check yourself I'm not talking to you of

course to him I'm talking to those anonymous people who feel that they can

run the world according to their schedule it does not work like that and

it is extremely sad that there's possibly and I know this people still

like that out there luckily most of them literally have died off and I think

there's enough weight of em 60s and soot because clearly the 2e0 calls to the UK

must have heard of them licensed there's enough of these people

coming through and some of them just stay m6 you know I thought I was just

gonna be an m3 to be honest but one day I decided I was that into the Hobby I'll

keep my full ticket you see and and this guy North Devon he he's still an m3 and

has been for the last nearly 15 years that's it

couldn't give her stuff I think he's even got just got ten watt radio you

know so embarrassing number one and number two if you ever find yourself

being disrespectful towards another human being

anybody check yourself particularly in this hobby right this isn't a bit of

parking rage in the local car park this is you can literally destroy somebody's

leisure creation ambition forever by being disrespectful or by just kina Mike

and saying the wrong thing it is a ferry you know well I'd say gentlemanly point

zero three percent of my viewers on the channel ladies

so just Park the ladies a minute for the gentlemen out there this is a

gentlemanly hobby we are OMS we're old men okay

be proud that have to be part of this community be all encompassing be

respectful they're your brothers you know in your hoppy its unites countries

telling some of the FO for the local repeater does only serves to just show

that person that they're the idiot not the person I'm telling off are they now

I was um I was a member of a motorcycle club a notorious Burnside clapping well

I was climbing the ranks so I wasn't actually a member but I was treated with

the same respect as some of the old likes if you know to me

and and there was very strong rules that's well in a world renowned club

like that you obey the rules or what you levy would have our jump well I can't

believe in this gentlemanly world of amateur radio there's some people some

people who are not that respectful I can't believe it I've never bought have

I been disrespectful probably but certainly not to a youngster with an m6

cool you know so you'll probably remember the wrong Club Tim number one I

don't know what part the world you're in but if you contact me privately I'll

sort you out with someone on VHF that look after you with the in concise

consultation with you okay I won't do anything or introduce you to someone you

don't want to be introduced to okay so but I know a lot of people and we can

help you out and I'll tell you you let me know if you find out who it was and

I'll send the boys round yeah good so that be said have a jolly good day you

know I wanted to make some fun videos tonight but I had this through this

morning and I I felt I had to address this so I apologize talk till waffle on

hopefully this can be resolved we can get him back in a hobby because yeah

everyone they saved it doesn't it right ok on the other front I've got some iron

filings through today to past I've got a huge magnet and I just want to do some

magnetic experience and experiments I'll see how it goes he could go dead

dreadfully wrong but we might be able to replicate all sorts of fighters and I'm

sure we're managed to weave in a little bit of amateur radio to the magnetism
