Jurgen Klopp on why he watches Liverpool supporters' videos online
Jurgen Klopp has explained how he enjoys watching Liverpool supporters videos online, saying hed be among them if he wasnt the Reds boss!.
The charismatic German is known for his sometimes wild celebrations, especially during his time at Dortmund.
Hes often said how much he loves the game of football and the connection with fans is one that he has sought to improve at Anfield.
In an interview this week he explained how he watches fan videos online:.
Everyone who knows me knows that I don't read the English press, but I really watch these videos of the supporters because I was never really involved in something like this in my life.
Indeed, at the recent LFC players awards night, Klopp told RedmenTV presenter Paul Machin that he watches their content online!.
The song that has become Liverpool fans anthem this season has been Allez, allez, allez and Klopp was keen to find out if it was a new song.
'Allez, allez, allez' is new? I thought it's an old song, but that's because I've heard it so often now this year.
That's really cool.
It's a really, really cool song, he said.
All of them, they are so creative; unbelievable.
The Mo Salah song is obviously a fantastic one.
Klopp though rightly pointed to a lack of a proper song for Roberto Firmino; demanding one for the Brazilian!.
Do we already have a Bobby Firmino song? Yes? And we have one for Sadio? Two? Whoever is doing it, I order a song for Bobby!.
Klopp loves football and clearly gets what it means for supporters, explaining how if he werent a player or manager hed be right among the fans.
If I would not be a football manager or a professional player, I would have been in the middle of that.
100 per cent.
I miss that a little bit from time to time, especially when my family is telling me what happened with the singing around the stadium and all these things – so I love it and I watch it on the internet and I really like it.
I like the emotions a lot and when you see them in their living room going completely nuts, it's really cool.
The boss spoke similarly in his pre-match press conference on Monday, saying that how fans have changed in recent months, and started to like the team and players more.
Theres clearly a growing connection between the supporters and players this season and thats something Klopp has massively been keen to foster.
Klopp and Liverpool couldnt be more perfect for each other, and it is a joy to have a manager who gets every aspect of the club.

Andy Robertson's charitable acts further evidence of Jurgen Klopp's focus on character - Duration: 4:07.
Andy Robertson's charitable acts further evidence of Jurgen Klopp's focus on character
Andy Robertson has explained his approach to the charitable acts that clearly endeared him to Jurgen Klopp ahead of his move to Liverpool.
Robertson made headlines in March when his letter to seven-year-old Alfie Radford, rewarding him for his support of Anfields food bank with Roberto Firmino's match shirt, circulated on Twitter.
For you to give that up for people who are having a tough time and need some help to get by is absolutely amazing, he told the youngster.
Let me tell you now, that is brilliant from you and sets an example to the rest of us that showing a little care and thought for others is really important—it's also very Liverpool!.
It was a gesture that saw Robertsons burgeoning reputation on Merseyside enhanced even further, complementing his excellent performances on the pitch.
But in an interview with the Guardian ahead of the Champions League final this week, the left-back dismissed the attention his efforts garnered, insisting it was a natural response:.
It gathered pace [on Twitter] which I didn't want.
The food bank is something I've always supported because there's no excuse for anyone to go without food.
A normal 21st birthday present is a bottle of vodka or champagne and during the season I don't drink.
At the end of the season I have a few beers with my old man.
So if someone wants to buy me a bottle of vodka I'd rather they donate the £20..
While Robertson is right to shun publicity, as this can detract from its sincerity, this awareness is not often expected of the modern footballer.
Klopp makes a point of meeting every potential signing before sanctioning a deal, explaining in April that he has a good feeling for people, and this was certainly the case with Robertson.
The Scotland international also detailed his tough start to life at Anfield, but a point struck upon by him and his new manager in that they both had to battle for everything ultimately saw him secure his place.
It is this sensitivity, and the grasp of life outside of football, that has provided Klopps side with their backbone, as both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson highlighted recently.
Alexander-Arnold showed this in his experience of the aftermath of the Illapel earthquake in Chile and his gesture to cerebral palsy sufferer Louis Henry during the Reds Anfield lap of honour.
And the captain did so in a wide-ranging interview with the Mail, revealing his selfless approach to life as Liverpool captain.
These are but three examples of the virtue of good character, and as Klopp leads his side to Kyiv on Saturday night it could prove pivotal in the pursuit of a sixth European Cup.

Dom Solanke dreaming of winner in Champions League final after breaking Liverpool duck
Dominic Solanke watched the Champions League final from home the last time his club qualified but this time around he will have a front-row seat in Kyiv.
Solanke was a 14-year-old in the youth ranks at Chelsea when Roberto di Matteo's side beat Bayern Munich on penalties in 2012.
A move to Anfield last summer has brought the first-team exposure he did not get at Stamford Bridge and while he will be on the bench for the clash against Real Madrid in the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex it represents a considerable step forward.
I was in the youth team, didn't go to Munich, but watched it at home, said the 20-year-old.
The Champions League is one of the biggest competitions in the world and to win it is amazing.
Back then I saw how much it meant to everyone so hopefully we can get it here too.
I felt part of it at Chelsea.
So much emotion when you win a cup like that so the year after, everyone was still buzzing so I'm looking forward to feeling that here.
I want a taste of that again definitely.
It's one game so anything can happen in a game of football, You have to go there knowing it's a tough game, but we have to be confident.
Solanke's own confidence has been boosted by scoring his first senior goal in the victory over Brighton on the final day of the Premier League.
It has even allowed him to dream about netting the winner in Ukraine.
It's always nice to get your first goal.
I had to wait a bit longer than I wanted, but I was delighted after that, he added.
It's always difficult as a striker when you haven't scored for a while and frustrating, but you just have to keep going, stay confident and when the goal comes, to maintain it.
Of course I've been thinking about getting the winning goal in Kyiv, that's the dream.
Solanke has been watching Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane at close-quarters this season but also picked up some tips for some of the greats at his former club.
When I was at Chelsea, Drogba was one of my favourites, Torres as well, he said.
They were amazing especially in their prime.
I trained with Drogba quite a lot and he helped me, he's a good guy and gave me advice.
When he saw me on the pitch doing something and I could do it better, he would tell me.

Naby Keita's former boss tips the midfielder to make Liverpool even better - Duration: 3:28.
Naby Keita's former boss tips the midfielder to make Liverpool even better
Former RB Leipzig manager Ralph Hasenhuttl believes Naby Keita will make Liverpool even better regardless of their Champions League hopes.
Few signings in recent times have felt more exciting than Keita, with the Guinean set to officially become a Reds player on July 1.
Many regard the 23-year-old as one of the worlds most influential midfielders, and he has Jurgen Klopp player written all over him, with superb technical ability and work ethic.
Liverpools midfield can often feel one-dimensional, with the exception of the injured Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but Keita will transform things in the middle of the park.
Speaking to Bild, Hasenhuttl, who managed Keita at Leipzig, gushed about the impact the African superstar could make at Anfield:.
The lads just that good.
Hes a pro through and through, he lives and breathes football.
Even if he wins the Champions League, Jurgen [Klopp] will be thankful for the reinforcement.
He will join an already incredible squad.
But if theres one player I dont have any fear that he can make it at every club in the world, then thats Naby..
Hasenhuttl has also spoken about the likeness between he and Jurgen Klopps footballing philosophies, which should also work in Keitas favour:.
[Klopp and I] did our coaching badges together and we know each other very well.
I think we appreciate a similar philosophy on football – we want to play a high tempo game, we want our guys to sprint around, press well and these are elements which make the game livelier and varied and get people excited..
The 50-year-olds comments should only intensify the levels of excitement ahead of Keitas arrival, with the Austrian knowing his former player inside out.
He has the ability to make the kind of impact Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have in 2017/18, driving Liverpool to a Premier League title challenge in the process.
Hopefully he will also be defending the Champions League in his first season on Merseyside, too!.

Jurgen Klopp on beating Real Madrid as Borussia Dortmund manager in 2013 - Duration: 4:40.
Jurgen Klopp on beating Real Madrid as Borussia Dortmund manager in 2013
Jurgen Klopp has outlined how his Borussia Dortmund side got the better of Real Madrid five years ago, but also praised on their winning mentality.
The two sides met in the Champions League semi-finals in 2013, with Jose Mourinhos Madrid team favourites to reach the final.
A stunning performance in the first leg at Westfalenstadion saw Dortmund rip their opponents apart, however, with Robert Lewandowski scoring every one of his sides goals in a 4-1 win.
Despite losing the second leg 2-0, the Bundesliga outfit made it through to the final at Wembley, where they were eventually beaten 2-1 by rivals Bayern Munich.
In an interview serialised by the Mirror, Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler sat down with Klopp in Marbella to discuss various topics.
This included how Klopp got the better of Madrid on that night five years ago, with the ex-Reds striker proffering that he aimed to overload them on the right-hand side then switch to catch the attack-minded Marcelo out.
Clearly comfortable in Fowlers company, the 50-year-old suggested it was better to nullify Reals strengths.
There is no weakness where you can say, obviously, yes.
Football is not that easy that you say Marcelo stays up front and Salah stays there and plays against Ramos, he explained.
[In the 4-1 win] we played man-marking against [Xabi] Alonso.
Everybody knew it before, Alonso gets the ball, turns, Ronaldos on his bike already.
We played Mario Gotze man-marking against Alonso in the 4-1 at home and it worked pretty well.
The German was quick to praise Madrid, admitting their ability to stay cool in pressurised situations is second to none:.
Its not that easy making these things against Real Madrid.
They are cool as ice.
You have a chance against them and they are not bothered.
It doesnt affect them.
Have you seen them even one time, panicking because someone had a chance against them? Ice.
They think, opponents have chances, it happens.
We have a chance, we score.
Pep said once, the big teams really have a cup of coffee and then bang, they go.
So you have a chance against them, youd better take it..
Madrids ability to be ruthless and remain unruffled in big matches is arguably the main thing standing between Liverpool and glory in Saturdays Champions League final.
They have built up a frightening winning mentality in the competition, as they go in search of a fourth European crown in five years.
It will be interesting to see if Klopp adopts any of his Dortmund tactics this weekend, although Madrid are a very different proposition these days.

Tvoja stvar #12: Amar Camo [Ficacrew] - Avanturist - Duration: 10:13.
Hi, I'm Amar.
I'm the founder of Fićacrew, we travelled through Europe and for now we touched Asia.
In the real life, my working field is geodesy.
But I'm also interested in photography, video editing and traveling. I'm adventurist.
That's my inspiration, to finish the work and go on a trip.
I adore creating adventures.
Currently, I live in Australia but I'm returning to Bosnia and Herzegovina 6 years in a row.
For me, it's hard not to go.
I always said that this year I won't go because I have other things to do but at the end, I always go.
Sometimes I bought a ticket 3 weeks or several months in advance. But I will go there for sure.
Balkan missed me a lot.
The biggest advantage of living in Australia is the possibility to achieve your dreams.
This is the biggest plus of living here in Australia.
My dad always worked on the car and I always watched and tried to help him.
But I was always spending time with him in the garage.
When the time comes up to buy a car I decided to buy an old car.
Old cars have characters, they have a history and a story behind the wheels.
Each day affection to old cars is rising.
In our family, Fića came as a wish from my mom.
She saw once a green Fića in front of our house and she fell in love, she adores it.
Two years after we found the exact same Fića and we decided to buy it.
And this is the story how Fića came in our family.
It was an adventure, but at the end, Fića was ours.
It wasn't a decision, it was love at first sight.
Fića broke down, of course, that's broke down.
We need to fix it very often.
And we need to manage how to find peaces for Fića.
When you enter in that circle of people it's easy to find car parts.
You need to take care of the car.
Maybe from outside, it seems that we forgot Fića
but inside (motor, brakes, etc.) are in excellent condition.
Without any problem, of course.
For me, Fića is a car like any other.
Fića is cute and interesting but
it's a car who was made for travelling from one point to another.
I looked on a Fića as a transportation to Orebić.
Everything came out of necessity.
I wanted to go to the coast but I didn't want to go by bus and Fića was the only solution.
I went alone on the journey.
The journey was successful without any problem.
I posted the photo that my car is broken and everyone asked me how? But it wasn't, that was my joke.
That was my first journey with Fića.
On the next journey, nobody couldn't say anything because it's was already organised.
With Nezir and Kenan we went on a journey through Italy.
But family and friends already know me. They now that I'm adventurous.
We were going to Mount Vesuvius we were climbing up but it was very hard for FIća.
I always said that Fića is climbing like a little donkey,
it was so hot and we were so scared if we will arrive at the top.
We saw some inspectors there, we couldn't understand what they are saying to us
because none of us understands Italian.
But he wants that I go out from Fića so that he could take a picture.
He took my hand and pull me out of Fića.
He took a few photos of Fića and him, and leave us.
This is our experiences with Fića.
I do not seek for long journeys for me everything is about socializing.
I am how I am, it's hard to change me.
Generally, I'm enjoying being with people and socializing.
I adore having friends around me.
I don't know why but that's me.
We are strict in the final destination but everything between come spontaneously.
If we saw something cool then we are going to see it and explore it. We are not bothering with time and plan.
We are searching on the Internet just in case that we don't miss something amazing.
During the journey, you are learning a lot.
You are learning about yourself, others, generally about the cars,
but most importantly about the life and how to improve yourself.
That things and borders are irrelevant.
More I travel, it leaves a stronger impression on me.
I like that.
It's like you are reading an excellent book who will change you.
With whom I traveled?
Well, I traveled alone and with my brother and Kenan.
We travelled to Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, etc.
I'm generally looking for positive people.
I'm looking for adventurous and fearless people.
People to whom is ok to pull the car or sleep in the car.
They needed to be positive.
Till now the journeys was positive and great.
For now, love didn't happen to me.
At least permanent.
But love happens, generally how people react to us, how they host us, how the land is, etc.
Love with Fića. This car provides me so many positive vibrations.
So, yes we can say that love happens while we are on an adventure with Fića.
Read how it's written.
I saw that you are cheerful, so where affection and love to the people and journey came from?
Ok, ok.
But there no coma, brother.

He got his wish earlier this week.
Days earlier, the Houston Texans defensive lineman offered to pay for the funerals of the ten victims in the shooting.
Watt is known for his humanitarian efforts.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, he helped raise more than $37 million and handed out supplies to people in Houston in need of resources. He personally donated $100,000.
Eight students and two teachers were killed at Santa Fe High School last Friday.
The tight-knit community of Santa Fe is still reeling from a tragedy that many thought would never happen in their small town.

Garry Kasparov: I told you Putin would attack U.S. election — and he will again
NEW YORK — Garry Kasparov has a message for those who didn't foresee Russia's meddling in the 2016 U.S.
presidential election: "I told you so.".
"I've been saying many of the same things about Vladimir Putin for over 17 years," Kasparov, the former world chess champion and political activist, said at a conference on activism here Monday.
Other attendees included former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, human rights activist Kerry Kennedy and David Hogg, a Florida high school student who has emerged as a gun control advocate.
Kasparov — whose 2015 book, "Winter Is Coming," warned of Putin's rise as a dictator on the global stage — said he voiced his concerns about the Russian president to anyone who would listen.
"Putin is not a democratically elected leader — he is a dictator," Kasparov said, recalling remarks from a 2007 conference he attended in Washington, D.C.
"I said, yes, Putin was a bad guy.
He was Russia's problem, but if he wasn't contained, he would be a regional problem — and soon after, everybody's problem.".
Kasparov said Russia's spread of so-called fake news across American social media networks — part of a disinformation campaign aimed at undermining the U.S.
elections — was "nothing new for us in Russia.".
"The sad news is propaganda works," he said.
"Fake news works.".
By the time Putin took aim at the U.
, Kasparov said, his cyber army had more than 10 years of experience in such attacks.
Kasparov — originally from Azerbaijan, the former Soviet republic — has been living in forced exile in New York City since 2013.
He did not mention special counsel Robert Mueller's ongoing investigation into the Trump campaign's contacts with Russia.
But he suggested where there's smoke, there's fire.
"Donald Trump had more Russian connections than Aeroflot," Kasparov said in his remarks at the University Club, just two blocks south of Trump Tower.
"While I believe in coincidences, I also believe in the KGB.".
"Every country has its own mafia," he continued.
"In Russia, the mafia has its own country.".
Still, Kasparov echoed the conclusions of U.S.
intelligence officials that the Kremlin will continue to target elections, in the U.S.
and abroad.
"Putin will attack again, here and elsewhere," Kasparov said.
"He has no choice.
He needs enemies — big ones.".
Kasparov said that to combat Putin, Americans must put value in democracy and the truth.
"You can't defend yourself against Putin and the Putins of this world if you don't believe what they are attacking is worth defending," he said.

Aaron Schlossberg apologizes and says he's 'not racist' a week after his rant goes viral
NEW YORK — The lawyer who shot to ignominy last week with a racist rant at a Manhattan lunch spot apologized Tuesday on social media, where a video of his threat to call immigration agents on Spanish-speaking workers had first gone viral.
Aaron Schlossberg, 42, a lawyer who founded his own firm, said he was "deeply sorry" and insisted: "What the video did not convey is the real me.
I am not racist." He acknowledged, however, that his behavior was inappropriate.
"Seeing myself online opened my eyes — the manner in which I expressed myself is unacceptable and is not the person I am," Mr Schlossberg wrote.Mr Schlossberg went on to say that he moved to New York City because of its diversity and loved "this country and this city, in part because of immigrants" — claims that immediately rang hollow to at least two New Yorkers: Rep.
Adriano Espaillat, D-New York, who was born in the Dominican Republic, and Ruben Diaz Jr., the Bronx borough president.
Last week they filed a grievance with the New York State Unified Court System against Mr Schlossberg.
"It's too little too late," Mr Espaillat said in an interview.
"Clearly, this is a pattern of behavior he has had and this is the first time he got caught.".
Mr Espaillat was referring to two widely circulated videos of Mr Schlossberg's public outbursts, one at a conservative rally, another when he accosted a man on Fifth Avenue for being a foreigner.
The man was born in the United States.
In the incident last week, Mr Schlossberg assailed the manager and customers with insults about their being on welfare; he assumed that because servers preparing lunch at Fresh Kitchen were speaking Spanish to customers, they were unauthorized.
"My next call will be to ICE," he said, referring to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
Mr Schlossberg's rant angered activists for immigrant rights, who said it reinforced stereotypes that Spanish speakers are not citizens.
And they worried that it perpetuated fear within immigrant communities of ICE's aggressive enforcement.
Mr Espaillat said Mr Schlossberg's rant was in line with the climate of xenophobia throughout the country, though it was remarkable that it happened in New York City, he said.
Most problematic, Mr Espaillat said, the vitriolic video showed Mr Schlossberg's inherent bias were he to represent a man who speaks Spanish.
(His firm's website lists services in four languages: Spanish, French, Chinese and Hebrew.).
"What if things did not go well for that particular client?" Mr Espaillat said.
"That client can assume that it was because of how he feels about people who speak another language.".
In the days after his outburst, Mr Schlossberg received thousands of messages of protest on social media, and angry reviews of his firm were posted.
He was filmed hiding behind an umbrella to duck reporters last week.
New York's Commission on Human Rights appeared at Fresh Kitchen on Friday to tell employees how to file a complaint.
And then, the outrage reached a crescendo when a mariachi band appeared at a rally with several hundred people in front of Mr Schlossberg's apartment in Manhattan.
Mr Diaz, like Mr Espaillat, dismissed the Twitter apology.
"I have a hard time believing that this apology is sincere and not simply an attempt to stop the enormous public outcry and pressure he has faced over the past week," Mr Diaz said.

Launch abort? Trump tries to get his 'Space Force' off the ground, but not everyone is on board #2 - Duration: 8:07.
Launch abort? Trump tries to get his 'Space Force' off the ground, but not everyone is on board #2
But a missile strike isn't the only way to take out a potential adversary's space capabilities.
Intelligence officials have raised the possibility of jamming transmissions or using a laser to temporarily dazzle or permanently blind reconnaissance satellites, burning out sensitive optical sensors.
Earlier this year an anonymous Russian official said the country had developed a plane with a laser system on top capable of blinding enemy satellites, a potential danger described by Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats in 2017 Senate testimony.
What are some potential counters? One suggestion is simply to put up more and smaller satellites, decentralizing the network and making it more likely that a country's imaging capabilities would slowly fade rather than go blind.
Other possibilities include a movable shutter on the satellite lens to protect it from a laser attack, and additional shielding and maneuverability.
Meanwhile, the battle is taking place in Congress.
The most recent skirmish was over last year's National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Ala., and Rep.
Jim Cooper, D-Tenn., senior members of the House Armed Services Committee, included language that would have mandated the Air Force to create a United States Space Corps.
It would constitute a separate wing of the military that would function the way the Marines operate within the Navy but with its own seat on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The congressmen believe the Air Force has been negligent in modernizing its space capability, raiding funds allocated to Space Command to pay for cost overruns in other projects.
Analysts said the new focus is needed because America's rivals in space are catching up.
"It's easy to just delay space programs and not give them the funding increases that were planned in future years," said Todd Harrison, a director and aerospace expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, "and the military's been able to do that for many years because we haven't really been matched in space.
There weren't a lot of countries that could put our systems at risk, and now that's changed.
There are an increasing number of countries that can hold our space systems at risk, so we've got to change the culture and mindset within the military [so] that this needs to be a higher priority." Rogers and Cooper's amendment passed the House but failed in the Senate.
It was opposed by Mattis, who said he shared concerns about the Department of Defense's space capabilities but wanted to maintain the current structure.
In a letter to Rep.
Michael Turner, R-Ohio, provided by Turner's office, Mattis wrote: "At a time when we are trying to integrate the Department's joint warfighting functions, I do not wish to add a separate service that would likely present a narrower and even parochial approach to space operations." At the urging of Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson and others at the Pentagon, Sen.
Bill Nelson, D-Fla., and Sen.
Deb Fischer, R-Neb., stripped the Space Corps language from the NDAA.
Brian Weeden, a former officer in Space Command who is now a director at the Secure World Foundation, told Yahoo News the Air Force was engaging in some old-fashioned bureaucratic maneuvering.
"If the space mission goes somewhere else, that means the Air Force loses X billion of dollars from their budget and presumably somewhere around 40,000 people from their personnel list," said Weeden.
"And in bureaucracies, budget and people are power." The final version of the NDAA did include a few concessions to those pushing for the creation of a Space Corps.
There were management and procedural changes meant to streamline the existing space programs and language calling for a study on the creation of a separate branch, which an official recently said would be done by August.
"The Air Force will no longer be able to treat space as a third-order priority after fighter jets and bombers," said Rogers and Cooper in a joint statement after the NDAA passed in December with the revised language.
The United Nations attempted to address some space war concerns in 1967 when it urged members to sign on to an agreement known as the Outer Space Treaty.
The treaty addressed a wide array of issues, including everything from classifying astronauts as "envoys of mankind" to banning the placement of nuclear weapons in orbit, on the moon or other "celestial bodies." The treaty states that space should be used for "peaceful purposes," but peaceful doesn't necessarily mean nonmilitary; in terms of the treaty, it means nonaggressive in space.
Satellites collecting intelligence, handling communications and guiding terrestrial weapons with their GPS have come to be allowed, but under the treaty no country can fire satellite-to-satellite or engage in space-to-surface warfare.
As legislators and administrators debate the space division's structure and budget, preparations for a future space conflict continue.
Space Command officials have set up virtual reality simulations for satellite technicians to practice their response if there were attacks on the U.S.
network, an attempt by the Air Force to instill a "war fighting mentality" in veteran space operators.
There are also the annual Schriever War Games, an exercise set a decade in the future that attempts to predict the evolution of space-based combat.
And while the technological focus is mainly based around satellites, there are a few more fantastical advances, such as a potential new fighter-based laser weapon system, like the one Lockheed Martin was contracted to develop last year, and the X-37B, an unmanned spaceplane capable of flights lasting two years that has been partaking in a series of classified missions and experiments.
Whether under the rubric of a "Space Force" or the existing Air Force Space Command, it seems certain that the militarization of space will continue.

Meet the unarmed volunteers patrolling Stoneman Douglas High School - Duration: 9:44.
'If anything happens in that school, I'm coming in that door': Meet the unarmed volunteers patrolling Stoneman Douglas High School
The moment David "Cobra" Clemente heard about the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February, he grabbed his red beret and red Guardian Angels jacket and raced over.
"I suited up and went straight to Parkland," said Clemente, 59.
"I had my guys meet me there.".
Clemente and two fellow members of the all-volunteer Broward County, Fla., Guardian Angels have put their lives on hold to conduct safety patrols at the school every day since the shooting — from about 6 a.m.
until afternoon dismissal around 3 p.m.Clemente, who has worked in the security field for decades, had been saving money over the years for a rainy day.
Kids being killed not 10 minutes from his home was a storm.
"If anything happens in that school, I'm coming in that door," said Clemente, who does not carry a weapon, but at six feet tall and 300 pounds is an imposing figure.
"Anybody who looks like they don't belong there is going down on the floor, I'm taking them down.
We watch everything.
We'd protect these students with our lives.".
Clemente and the two other Guardian Angels — Romero "Black Cat" Davis and Mark "Yankee" Munic — spend their days walking or biking the grounds, escorting students to the building upon request, parents say, and helping traumatized teens feel safe.
Nobody tells them to be there, and they don't get paid for it.
Clemente and the other two angels show up each day because they think it's the right thing to do, and they feel they're making a difference.
Clemente said the reason their patrols are effective is because they are there day in and day out for the community, which is raw after 17 students and teachers were killed in the mass shooting about three months ago.
"We don't just come in and do one patrol or two patrols and leave," he said.
"That's not what we do.".
The Parkland parent community has embraced them, buying them a tent as a "command center," and bringing them breakfast and lunch, often homemade, every day.
There is also a jar where parents sometimes drop in cash to support them.
"They are there every day without an agenda except to protect the kids," said Jon Faber, a father of two boys at the school.
"They have a good grip on what's going on.
They are in communication with the parents and the kids, they know everything, all the gossip.
They have their finger on the pulse of the school.".
Faber helped them get a permit for their tent and patrols.
Sometimes students bring them homemade cookies or cards to say thanks.
And they get hugs, lots of hugs.
The Guardian Angels work separately from local law enforcement officers who are detailed to the school for protection — one of whom was scorned by some in the Parkland community for staying outside the building during the February mass shooting rather than running in to help.
Clemente said he's been at the school enough to know many of the students by name, and he gets high-fives and gratitude from students and parents every day.
The Guardian Angels is a nonprofit group of volunteers that started in 1979 — and had its heyday in the 1980s — doing safety patrols in New York City, working to move drug dealers and violence out of city neighborhoods.
Now there are chapters that operate across the United States and in other countries.
Clemente was a Guardian Angel in New York and started a Broward County chapter when he moved to South Florida five years ago.
He had never patrolled Parkland before, because as a safe community, there was no need.
He and his fellow Guardian Angels are trained in protection and take weekly martial arts classes, he said.
In recent days, he said, he's been getting calls from Guardian Angels in Texas who want advice about how to approach the Santa Fe high school where 10 people were killed and another 10 wounded last week in the most recent mass school shooting.
Clemente said he and the others plan to stay at Marjory Stoneman Douglas through the end of the year.
If parents request that he come back in the fall, he'll reassess.
"Do I have the means to do this for years? No, but I have the means to do it for five months," said Clemente, who has five children, three of whom are grown and two of whom attend a nearby middle school.
"I don't worry where my next meal is coming from.
I care about these kids being safe.".
Guardian Angel Black Cat runs a local gym and has largely asked his staff to take over operations there while he has detailed himself to the school.
The third Guardian Angel, Yankee, temporarily gave up his job selling concessions at a ballpark, and Clemente found him a place where he can live for a few months rent-free.
Clemente said they've never had to respond to an incident at the school or break up a fight — and that's exactly the point.
"With our presence alone, they can just tell," Clemente said.
"They won't play around or talk back to the Guardian Angels.
The Guardian Angels go into the belly of the beast in Chicago, Detroit, Trenton.
Wherever we go, we clean it up.".
The trio was recognized by the city of Parkland with a certificate of appreciation from the mayor and city commission.
They also got a certificate of appreciation from Broward County.
Marjory Stoneman Douglas parents have organized an event next Thursday to honor the Guardian Angels.
"Thank you for being here for us when we needed you most," Parkland Mayor Christine Hunschofsky told them during a ceremony at city hall when she presented them with the certificate, according to a video taken at the event.
Clemente said that over the past few months, he's become so close to the community that it's like he's protecting his own family.
He added that his service to the school is "something every single human being should do in the first place.".
"The kids have been through too much trauma," he said.
"If I bring a pinch of hope to these kids, I am doing my job.".
And, of course, keeping them safe is his No.
1 priority.
"The president has his Secret Service, and the Parkland students got their Guardian Angels," he said.

FBI Informant Stefan Halper Paid Over $1 Million By Obama Admin Spied On Trump - Duration: 9:03.
FBI Informant Stefan Halper Paid Over $1 Million By Obama Admin Spied On Trump Aide After Election
by Tyler Durden
Less than a week after Stefan Halper was outed as the FBI informant who infiltrated the Trump
campaign, public records reveal that the 73-year-old Oxford University professor and former U.S.
government official was paid handsomely by the Obama administration starting in 2012
for various research projects.
A longtime CIA and FBI asset who once reportedly ran a spy-operation on the Jimmy Carter administration,
Halper was enlisted by the FBI to spy on several Trump campaign aides during the 2016 U.S.
election.
Meanwhile, a search of public records reveals that between 2012 and 2018, Halper received
a total of $1,058,161 from the Department of Defense.
Halper's contracts were funded through four annual awards paid directly out of the Pentagon's
Office of Net Assessment (ONA).
Established as the DoD's "internal think tank" in 1973 by Richard Nixon (whose administration
Halper worked for), the ONA was run by foreign policy strategist Andrew Marshall from its
inception until his 2015 retirement at the age of 93, after which he was succeeded by
current director James H. Baker.
Halper's most recent award was noted recently by Trump supporter Jacob Wohl, which piqued
the interest of internet researchers who continued the analysis.
According to the Website USASPENDING.gov, the payments to Halper are for "RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES (2012)," "RESEARCH AND STUDIES - THE YEAR
2030, (2014)", "RUSSIA-CHINA RELATIONSHIP STUDY.
(2015)," and "INDIA AND CHINA ECON STUDY (2016)."
The most recent award to Halper for $411,575 was made in two payments, and had a start
date of September 26, 2016 - three days after a September 23 Yahoo!
News article by Michael Isikoff about Trump aide Carter Page, which used information fed
to Isikoff by "pissgate" dossier creator Christopher Steele.
The FBI would use the Yahoo! article along with the unverified "pissgate" dossier as
supporting evidence in an FISA warrant application for Page.
Halper approached Page during an election-themed conference at Cambridge on July 11, 2016,
six weeks after the September 26 DoD award start date.
The two would stay in contact for the next 14 months, frequently meeting and exchanging
emails.
He said that he first encountered the informant during a conference in mid-July of 2016 and
that they stayed in touch.
The two later met several times in the Washington area.
Mr. Page said their interactions were benign.
-New York Times
And as the Daily Caller reports, Halper used a decades-old association with Paul Manafort
to break the ice with Page.
Page noted that in their first conversation at Cambridge, Halper said he was longtime
friends with then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
A person close to Manafort told TheDCNF that Manafort has not seen Halper since the Gerald
Ford administration.
Manafort and Page are accused in the Steele dossier of having worked together on the campaigns
collusion conspiracy, but both men say they have never met.
-Daily Caller
Spying on Page after the election...
The second installment of Halper's 2016 DoD contract is dated July 26, 2017 in the amount
of $129,280 - around three months before the FISA warrant on Carter Page was set to expire
following repeated renewals signed by Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and a federal judge.
On July 28, he emailed Page with what the Trump campaign aide describes as a "cordial"
communication, which did not seem suspicious to him at the time.
In the email to Page, Halper asks what his plans are post-election, possibly probing
for more information.
"It seems attention has shifted a bit from the 'collusion' investigation to the ' contretempts'
[sic] within the White House and, how--or if--Mr. Scaramucci will be accommodated there,"
Halper wrote.
contretemps 1.
An unforeseen event that disrupts the normal course of things; an inopportune occurrence.
2.
An argument or dispute: "another France-versus-England contretemps" (Rob Hughes).
The email to Page was sent on the same day former White House Communications Director
Anthony Scaramucci reportedly went on a "vulgar tirade" against then-White House Chief of
Staff Reince Priebus.
Perhaps sensing an opportunity to find out if Page was still "on the inside," Halper
may have reached out to find out what he knew.
Halper then invites Page to his Virginia farm, telling the former Trump adviser "Be in touch
when you have the time.
Would be great to catch up."
Halper's July 28 email to Page - sent two days after the second portion of his contract
kicked in, suggests that the espionage operation against Trump associates was still active
seven months into the new administration.
It's entirely possible of course that Halper was conducting legitimate research for the
Obama administration while also participating in an FBI/DOJ spy operation on the Trump campaign.
Halper was outed as the FBI's "informant" last Friday following weeks of speculation,
after the New York Times and Washington Post published easily identifiable information
about the U.S. citizen and Cambridge professor.
Their reports matched a March 25 article by the Daily Caller detailing Halper's outreach
to several low-level aides to the Trump campaign, including Carter Page, George Papadopoulos,
and a cup of coffee with campaign co-chair Sam Clovis.
These contacts are notable, as Halper's infiltration of the Trump campaign corresponds with the
two of the four targets of the FBI's Operation Crossfire Hurricane - in which the agency
sent counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok and others to a London meeting in the Summer
of 2016 with former Australian diplomat Alexander Downer - who says Papadopoulos drunkenly admitted
to knowing that the Russians had Hillary Clinton's emails.
Downer - the source of the Papadopoulos intel, and Halper - who conned Papadopoulos months
later, are linked through UK-based Haklyut & Co. an opposition research and intelligence
firm - founded by three former British intelligence operatives in 1995 to provide the kind of
otherwise inaccessible research for which select governments and Fortune 500 corporations
pay huge sums.
Downer - a good friend of the Clintons, has been on their advisory board for a decade,
while Halper is connected to Hakluyt through Director of U.S. operations Jonathan Clarke,
with whom he has co-authored two books.
(h/t themarketswork.com)
Alexander Downer, the Australian High Commissioner to the U.K. Downer said that in May 2016,
Papadopoulos told him during a conversation in London about Russians having Clinton emails.
That information was passed to other Australian government officials before making its way
to U.S. officials.
FBI agents flew to London a day after Crossfire Hurricane started in order to interview
Downer.
It is still not known what Downer says about his interaction with Papadopoulos, which TheDCNF
is told occurred around May 10, 2016.
Also interesting via Lifezette - "Downer is not the only Clinton fan in Hakluyt.
Federal contribution records show several of the firms U.S. representatives made
large contributions to two of Hillary Clintons 2016 campaign organizations."
Following Halper's doxxing, President Trump called for an official investigation by the
Department of Justice - which Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein assigned to the office
of the Inspector General, headed by Michael Horowitz.
We look forward
to the Inspector General's findings.

ALASTON TOTUUS - Tuulet ja purjeet, vastuunotto omasta elämästä [EPISODI 03] - Duration: 10:50.
I have a confession to make: I'm not perfect.
In the first episode of The Naked Truth I encouraged you to listen to your heart
and to follow your own path.
Now, as it turns out, I didn't follow my own advice;
I didn't listen to my heart and what it has to say.
For a long time, I had a feeling I just can't shoot new episodes.
In fact, I wanted to forget the whole series.
However, this thing didn't leave me alone for some reason.
Now I've finally realized what it's all about.
If your dreams are yet to be fulfilled, or there's something you want to achieve in your life
I believe this episode can help you.
In the previous episode I showed you my sensitive side and my grief for my break-up,
and encouraged others to do the same.
I've done a lot of scary things, but nothing is as frightening
as showing your innermost core and vulnerability to someone else.
In this episode, I want to share with you all that I've realized since the previous episode.
Things that may get in the way of listening to your heart,
and what obstacles you may face
when taking the steps on the path of listening to your heart, and walking towards your naked truth.
By the way, I will also disclose to you
the developments in my relationships since the previous episode.
The Naked Truth Pekka J. Mattila Episode 003
The previous episode of the Naked Truth got more than 200,000 views on Facebook
I feel it's the scariest and on some level also the most personal work I've ever done.
Many people told me how that episode had helped them to get through the day,
how they had cried with that episode, and how the episode helped them clear and cleanse something.
Indeed, that particular episode is in the core of the Naked Truth;
I wanted to show you an authentic side of me that usually may not be so favourably accepted.
As I started to get over my grief,
I still felt really miserable and couldn't quite put my finger on the cause of that misery.
It started tormenting me.
It tormented and tormented constantly,
and I wondered why there was so much dissatisfaction within me,
and why something felt off.
Part 1–Invisible force
Then I decided to go inside and take a look at myself;
I started meditating in my room, in the parks or at the beach constantly.
I started to look what could I find within me
that was causing me this dissatisfaction.
Little by little I understood what it was all about.
Many times I even had my camera ready to shoot new episodes,
but for some reason I just couldn't do it.
It was as if some kind of invisible force was keeping me away from this project.
Since the second episode was so personal, I doubted
if I was ever again able to give myself so authentically to the camera.
What if the next episode is criticized and nobody likes it?
What if I don't get the praise that I did get from the previous episode?
I set the bar so high I started to feel like it wasn't even worth the try.
Part 2–The Wind and the Sails
As I stopped and went inside,
I began to understand how important the break-up was to me,
and how immensely grateful I was supposed to be for these events.
I realised that there are different kinds of winds blowing in our lives.
As we journey towards our dreams these winds are inevitable.
For example, you could easily blame the economic crisis for the failure of your project,
because you didn't have enough money to carry it out.
Something important to you could founder just because you couldn't arrive somewhere due to a flat tyre.
I could also blame the break-up for my failure to carry out the Naked Truth project.
Each of us has to go through these winds.
However, it's not about the wind; it's about how I respond to the wind.
It's about how I set the rudder and the sails of my boat.
It's about me taking responsibility for my own life at a deeper level,
and not blaming someone else, some situation or some event for it.
These winds are the greatest gifts we could ever receive.
They teach us something important.
Part 3–The Power of the Flow
Once we step onto the path of the heart, things start happening quickly.
This is also called beginner's luck.
Things progress smoothly.
Paulo Coelho writes about this in his book The Alchemist:
The basis of all searches is beginner's good fortune, but at the end the winner is always tested.
Before a dream comes true the World Soul examines all that has been learned on the journey.
It doesn't do that out of spite but to ensure we have embraced all the lessons learned
on our journey towards our dream and our goal.
At that point most of us give up.
It's what we call in the language of the desert 'the moment
when a person dies of thirst at the sight of the palm trees in the distance'.
So when we do something from our heart things happen quickly.
That means the flow is also faster.
The faster the flow and the higher the wave, the stronger the wind blows.
In other words, as we walk on the path of our heart, the winds we face seem much stronger
than when doing something that's not coming from our heart.
This is one of the reasons I felt the winds to be so strong on my journey regarding the Naked Truth project.
Part 4–Facing the Wind
This kind of wind can cause pain.
Pain can easily be numbed by, for example, alcohol.
I've kept myself very busy so as to not to have time to shoot these episodes.
Some people watch TV in excess so as to avoid facing oneself
and that which the wind has brought to surface.
Some might shop all kinds of unnecessary things for momentary pleasure.
In reality it's best to stop in these situations and see what the wind is telling you.
It's hard to hear your inner voice if you're too busy or too stressed.
For this reason, I started meditating a few hours a day;
so as to hear what's really going on in me,
and I'm really supposed to do in this situation.
As I meditated and quieted, I began to heal.
I began to see what the winds were about, and what lessons I needed to learn.
It felt like the wind was blowing through the cracks it had made, bringing me ease, good mood, and more energy.
I'm convinced that all the winds come into our lives deliberately
to test us and to teach us.
When you feel the wind blow, I encourage you to check your sails, fix your rudder,
and to continue your journey towards your dreams and your dream life.
Don't wish for weaker wind,
wish for more lessons to learn so that you can get to your own naked truth,
and can lead even more authentic life.
Please, share this with your friends if you wish them to listen to their hearts despite the winds. <3

About the disclosure.
So I couldn't keep in touch with my beloved ex-girlfriend.
However, my love for her had remained the same
despite us not being together.
One day I went out for a jog
and like a bolt from the blue the words "Contact this woman,"
started ringing in my head.
This went on the whole duration of the jogging;
"Contact her," said the voice. I refused.
Once I got back home I wrote an e-mail for six hours. I wrote it three times over.
To my joy I received a delighted reply.
As a result we processed some things between us,
and we saw what we had to learn and to understand.
In the end, six months after we had broken up, we got back together.
Since then I've learned a lot about what to take into account when pursuing a conscious relationship,
and a deeper purpose for being together
than to just run daily life smoothly together.
We are likely to share what we've learned with you, possibly even together.

Promoting Healthy Eating and Physical Activity in K - 12: An Independent Audit - Duration: 4:00.
Thanks for joining us.
In this audit, we looked at whether the Ministries of Health and Education are working together
to effectively oversee public school programs and policies that promote healthy eating and
physical activity for children and youth in kindergarten to grade 12.
Overall, we found the ministries were not.
They have worked together to develop the majority of programs and policies, but fall short on
their joint work to support the implementation of those programs and policies.
The greatest opportunity for shaping the future health of the people of B.C. is through positively
influencing the health and wellbeing of children and youth.
Schools are an ideal setting for promoting overall healthy living because they can reach
almost every child in the province, and by extension, their families.
Also, education in general, is strongly linked to health.
Research has shown that influencing the health and well-being of children and youth is important
for two main reasons: first, it makes them better learners, and second, it increases
the likelihood of them becoming healthy adults.
By increasing healthy eating and physical activity we can reduce chronic disease, improve
quality of life and lessen the burden on our health care system.
In B.C., chronic disease affects one in three people and their treatment represents the
largest burden to the health care system, using approximately 80% of the combined Medical
Services Plan, PharmaCare and acute care budgets.
Schools can support students' efforts to be healthy and active by providing opportunities
to both learn about and practice healthy eating and physical activity.
This audit found that the Ministries of Health and Education have not communicated shared,
overarching direction to the health authorities and school districts to promote healthy eating
and physical activity in public schools.
In many cases, this has contributed to school districts and schools not prioritizing the
implementation of healthy eating and physical activity initiatives.
The audit also found that the ministries need to work together more to jointly identify
and address barriers to the implementation of healthy eating and physical activity initiatives.
We found that the Ministry of Health wasn't monitoring most of its programs to know if
they are effective.
For example, it has scaled back its largest healthy eating program, (the BC School Fruit
and Vegetable Nutritional Program) by significantly reducing the number of servings of fruits
and vegetables provided to students at school.
These changes may have impacted the Ministry's ability to reach its overall goal of improving
the nutritional health of children in B.C.
We also found that improvements were needed with the Ministry of Education's monitoring
of policies that support healthy eating and physical activity.
For example, the ministry needs to improve its monitoring of school meal programs.
The Ministry of Education provides school districts with annual funding to support vulnerable
students, and most districts use a portion of this funding to provide meal programs to
these students.
We found inconsistencies with how the ministry estimates the funding needed by school districts
to support these vulnerable students.
We learned that in some cases, school districts weren't receiving enough funding to support
their school meal programs.
In conclusion, the ministries of Health and Education have come together to develop healthy
eating and physical activity initiatives in public schools but are failing to provide
enough support for the implementation of these initiatives.
We made eight recommendations in this report to improve the ministries' oversight of
healthy eating and physical activity initiatives for children and youth in kindergarten to
grade 12.
We'd like to encourage you to read this report because it impacts so many people in
British Columbia.

04 - Lists of Lists - Duration: 2:27.
Hey guys, this is Frank with A+ Courses and it is the fourth part of html basic series
We left off in the previous episode by extending our document with attributes
if you haven't seen that one make sure to give it a watch
And today we are going to have a short one and take a look at ordered and unordered lists
So without any further ado, let's get started
Lists are just that
Lists. We have ordered and unordered and they are often used as navigation elements
And we can define them by saying
ol
This is an ordered list
Now let's populated it with some elements by writing li
And we are going to add four different list elements so I'm gonna copy and paste this
three times
And for the first one let's give the value of learn about HTML
Let's also learn about tags
Learn about
Attributes
And last but not least we are learning about lists
We can of course make nested lists by defining another list inside a list element
Let's make it unordered this time
So I'm going to
move the closing tag a little bit down and define an unordered list, which is
Defined by using the UL tag and give it two list items
Ordered and unordered
You can keep this going as many times as you want. Now heading over to Chrome and
And giving it a refresh
You can clearly see the difference between two
The ordered lists are numbered by default and the unordered ones are shown with bullet points you can of course
Override these styles in CSS
Which we will do so many times in other series or here inline with a style attribute
But they are considered bad practice so I wouldn't advise that
Now I know this little short one, but I will be back with some more next time. Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next one
