Youtube daily report Oct 7 2018

welcome to my channel

today i'm going to show you how grow cactus in color sand planter

to make this i just use some materials

glass bowl, white sand , and colored sand and spoon

put the color sand using a spoon

after filling first bottom layer , fill the white sand in center

white sand is used for planting the cactus and also it's an uncolored and natural river sand

spray some water in center part to plant the cactus

then take out two or three spoon full sand for planting

place the cactus plant

and add the sand again around the cactus roots

to keep this planter for long time we must use only spray water once in a week and do not spray too much water and keep indoor with bright light area

next

and the fine gravel stones on the top

now i'm going to make another one with different colors sand

thanks for watching

Kenneth Appold: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Kenneth G.

Appold was a suitemate of Brett Kavanaugh's while they were both freshman at Yale.

Appold told the New Yorker that he has information related to the sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh and was willing to share his recollections with the FBI.

But Appold has been unable to reach anyone at the bureau.

He submitted a statement online instead.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell scheduled a procedural vote on Judge Kavanaugh's nomination for Friday.

The FBI reportedly wrapped up its investigation on Wednesday, October 3, despite never having spoken to potential witnesses such as Appold.

Here's what you need to know.

Kenneth Appold Shared a Living Space With Brett Kavanaugh at Yale But Admits the Two Were Not Close Friends.

Kenneth Appold told the New Yorker that he and Brett Kavanaugh lived in the same dorm during their freshman year at Yale.

They lived in the same suite at Lawrance Hall.

They were not roommates, but shared a common living area.

In the interview, Appold admitted that he and Kavanaugh were not close friends during college.

He told the magazine, "We didn't hang out together, but there was no animosity between us either.".

Appold explained that Kavanaugh appeared to have two sides to him.

On the one hand, he was serious about school and could be reserved.

But Appold said that the recent Senate hearings brought back memories of the more aggressive side to Kavanaugh, that he said tended to emerge when Kavanaugh drank alcohol.

"He wasn't beating people up, but there was an edge and an obnoxiousness.".

Deborah Ramirez Accused Brett Kavanaugh of Putting His Penis in Her Face at a College Party; Appold Said He Believes Her Allegations Because a Friend Told Him About it at the Time.

Deborah Ramirez was the second woman to come forward with sexual misconduct accusations against Brett Kavanaugh.

She claimed that at a party during their freshman year, Kavanaugh waved his penis in front of her face.

She said he caused her to touch his penis without her consent.

Kenneth Appold did not witness the alleged incident.

But he says he was told about it either that same night or the next day.

Appold told the New Yorker that he was "100 percent certain" that Brett Kavanaugh was the person who was said to have exposed himself to Ramirez.

Appold said he never discussed the incident with Ramirez, because they did not know each other very well in college.

But he claims that her allegations match the story he was told 35 years ago.

One of the details that lined up was that people at the party were apparently pranking each other with plastic penises.

Ramirez recounted that when Brett Kavanaugh allegedly opened his pants in front of her, she had remarked, "That's not a real penis." Appold confirmed that this was among the details that were shared with him at the time.

Appold said he remembers feeling shocked when he was told what Kavanaugh was accused of doing at the party.

Appold Decided to Come Forward After Seeing Kavanaugh Deny Ramirez's Accusations, But Has Not Spoken to the FBI.

Kenneth Appold said he was reluctant to come forward, because he did not witness the alleged incident between Kavanaugh and Ramirez first-hand.

He told the New Yorker that he decided to reach out to the FBI after watching Brett Kavanaugh vehemently deny the allegations.

He told the magazine, "I had concerns that there was a good chance he wasn't telling the truth." Appold added that he was certain Kavanaugh had lied about his past drinking habits as well.

However, the FBI has not spoken with Appold about his recollections.

Appold reached out to the agency but said he never heard back.

He was not the only one.

Kavanaugh's former roommate James Roche also came forward to say he believed Ramirez and that the FBI had not spoken with him either.

Kenneth Appold Does Not Appear to Have Ever Donated Money to Any Political Candidates.

As the investigation into Brett Kavanaugh unfolds, the political affiliations of his accusers have come under scrutiny.

Critics have called attention to the fact that Deborah Ramirez is a registered Democrat.

Christine Blasey Ford has given small donations to Democratic candidates.

This goes along with the accusation made by some Senate Republicans, that the Democrats are promoting an unfair smear campaign against Kavanaugh.

Senator Lindsey Graham has referred to the entire process as an "unethical sham." Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton said that Ford had been "victimized" by Democrats because her "requests for confidentiality" were "betrayed.".

As for Kenneth Appold, there does not appear to be any evidence, whether real or speculative, that he has a political agenda.

His own political affiliation is unclear.

Heavy looked into whether Appold has ever donated to political candidates.

According to public records from the Federal Election Commission and the Center for Responsive Politics, Appold has never given money to any candidates for office, Republican or Democrat.

Kenneth Appold is a History Professor at Princeton Theological Seminary & is a Member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Kenneth G.

Appold works as a professor at Princeton Theological Seminary.

His official title, according to his university bio, is "James Hastings Nichols Professor of Reformation History.".

Appold previously taught church history at Johannes-Gutenberg University in Germany, and conducted research at the Institute for Ecumenical Research in Strasbourg, France.

Now at Princeton, Appold focuses on teaching courses on the Reformation, the global history of Christianity, the relationship between the church and state, and early Lutheranism.

Another area of interest for Appold is Christian ecumenism.

Ecumenism refers to efforts made by leaders of various Christian denominations to develop closer relations with each other.

Appold describes himself as a Lutheran.

He is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

According to his bio, Appold has previously served as co-chair of the Lutheran-Pentecostal International Study Group, which was an effort to promote better dialogue between the two denominations.

He is also a member of the Lutheran World Federation.

Drawing Monster Faces - Jimnie Gel Rollerball Pen - Inktober 2018 [Day6] - Duration: 5:49.

I woke up this morning and I was sweating a whole bunch and I wonder why it was so hot in my room

so once my window opened my blinds and open my window and

It was pretty hot outside

So I checked my phone and the temperature said it was 85 degrees

For the past two weeks has been in the low to mid 40s and I got used to colder temperatures. I was

leaving my one who open at night and just getting a cool breeze of air and

It doesn't have to have my air conditioner inside anymore

which was a plus and that saves me on my electric bill because then

My electric bill isn't like a hundred dollars or anything

using my electric bill runs between

averages between fifty to sixty dollars, but it got really hot today and I

Was thought about putting my air conditioner back in the window

But I didn't feel like dealing with all hassles

trying to put the little cardboard in the sides because the little things that you push out on the sides they keep

Like bugs from coming in that keeps the cool area in the hot air outside

Those that go all the way across but there's always a little crack in the window and I've had that problem with in the air

Conditioner I've ever had

so I have two little pieces of cardboard that I cut that I put on each side of it and I put those up and

That's how I always done. It keeps air out in as cheap convenient. But anyways, I

Thought about putting the air conditioner in but I didn't like doing with the whole hassle of it. So I

Just I just dealt with the hot air to depend on music for this drawing is called the chimney gel

Rollerball gel pen has a blue ink and it goes really smooth in the paper. I've got an entire container of them

I think I've got maybe I don't know 60 of them. I think

And I have opened gel pens as well. I have the

Pilot ones and I think it's the 207

But I think I like these more they they flow better onto the paper they're last smoother

I think it's the 207's if I can take a look here. They either Union Union ball signal

2:07 what I notice about these pens is that when I'm drawing with them the end of it like the tip of the pen

The size of the tip isn't the same

Size as the cap, so when I'm drawing with it, there's a slight movement and it kind of gets annoying

I'm not sure you can hear this but Oh

Take a listen to it and tell me if you can hear this

That's when you're drawing with it like when you're touching something

The end of it moves old, but it kind of frustration me and gets annoying especially I'm doing stippling

because I'll try it it stipple and

the whole time I just keep hearing that sound over and over and

It does get to be a bit frustrating

But today was a pretty good day. It was really hot outside

But other than that things were fine

I've been very busy today working on drawings editing things and

I did a different setup for my video

I moved the lamp that I have for the lighting over to the side more and I moved my

small camcorder that I used for the time lapses to a different angle and

also moved my

DSLR that I used for the recordings at a different angle as well

And I forgot about this for some reason. I don't know why

But for the past eight months

I've been drawing on a flat surface and I wonder why my neck was hurting me so bad and

then when I was just working on the setup, I had put my desk at a

45 degree angle and I was drawing and I was like

Why did I forget this? I don't know how I forgot this

But yeah, it makes drawing a lot better. It makes my neck not hurt makes it - my back's not hurting and

Some days when I'm drawing a lot

I just don't feel like drawing because my back or my neck will be hurting me

And so I think this will resolve part of the issue

But I still have to get a different computer chair

Because the chair I have right now is pretty much falling apart. I've had this chair for maybe

10 years now and

Made of like some kind of it's not leather

But it's falling apart. I need to get a different one

I'm looking around online, but I don't know what type of chair to get because I

Want one that will be good for my posture

But a lot of the chair as I see are not good for your posture

And they're just like big and bulky. I just want something simple

That's comfortable. That will be good for me to draw in

I would I mean I want if it does have arms in the chair

I want to be able to move the arms or like fold them up

So they're not in a way because with the setup I have

Where my computer desk is it's at an l-shape

And if I turn I'm painting a desk and I took the arms off the chair I have now because of that problem

Anyways, I'm gonna go work on some more drawings

What's more of these Jimny gel pens all the ones that were just blue?

I want to get red and black ones as well

But if you enjoyed this share it with your friends like comment and subscribe and if you haven't even drawing suggestions, go ahead

Let me know in the comments below and I will see you in the next video

How to draw Lewis structures for polyatomic ion - Dr K - Duration: 3:18.

In this video we're going to draw the lewis structure for polyatomic ion in five easy steps.

First let's start by counting the valence electrons.

We're using nitrite ion, NO2-, as our example. Nitrogen has five valence

electrons and oxygen has six, so we add them up.

Number of electrons is equals to five plus two times six.

We times two because there are two oxygen.

Now, we're not quite done yet because nitrite ion has negative one charge,

so that means overall it has an additional one electron, which means we need to add that 1 electron.

So now we have a total of 18 electrons. That's the number of electrons will be working with for this ion.

Step two we need to arrange the atoms and connect them with two electrons. We have NO2.

That means, we have one nitrogen and two oxygen, so we place the atom that we only have one of in the center and

surround it with the rest like this.

So we have nitrogen in the center and we have oxygen on both sides now that we have oxygen surrounding the nitrogen.

Let's connect them using two electrons like this.

Just to be clear, nitrogen is the central atom because it's in the center and

oxygens are the terminal atoms because they are at the end. Step three,

we need to make the terminal atom octet.

Meaning, we need to make them have eight electrons at the moment. Each of the oxygen only has two electrons,

so that means we need to add six electrons on both oxygens.

The pink electrons connecting nitrogen to oxygen is called the pointing electron and the ones in blue,

those are not involved in bonding. So we call them nonbonding electrons or lone pair. Step four,

we need to place any remaining electrons on the central atom since we started with 18 electrons.

We have already used 16. That means we have two remaining electrons.

Well place the two electrons on nitrogen like this.

Step five, which is the final step,

we need to make the central atom octet and place in the bracket with the charge. Right now, nitrogen has six electrons,

so, we're missing two electrons. To make nitrogen octet,

we need to borrow nonbonding electrons from the oxygen so we can do it like this.

The bonding pair from either one of the oxygen will do. So now everyone is happy. Everyone is octet.

Since this is a polyatomic ion,

we need to place in the bracket and the charge over our Lewis structure. To recap

here are the five step we used to draw the lewis structure for polyatomic ion.

It's basically the same as drawing lewis structure for compound except for step one,

we also need to add in or subtract the electrons and in the final step, step five,

we need to also add in the bracket along with the charge.

I've shared the exceptions to octet rule in the previous video, so here's a brief recap in case you missed it.

I hope you find the video helpful. Do subscribe. Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next video.
