Hello, welcome to "counseling & words"

and to my word of today; it is the

Japanese word "ichi-go ichi-e", literally

meaning "one time one meeting". But before

I start talking

I have to apologise. It's a rainy day

in New Zealand, in Wellington today.

Actually it's FebruarY and summertime;

but it's raining cats and dogs, really.

Anyway! Well "ichi-go ichi-e"

"one time one meeting". The term can be

traced back to the 16th century and is

particularly associated with Japanese

tea ceremonies.

I think this phrase is very interesting.

It reminds us that meetings, gatherings,

or encounters can't be repeated. Any

meeting is a "once-in-a-lifetime" occasion.

Unfortunately we tend to be thoughtless

and we don't consider that the meeting

we just had was unique.

We might meet the person the next day

again, but the next meeting will be a

different one.

A Japanese cultural concept is to

treasure meetings with people.

The term "ichi-go ichi-e"is often

translated as "for this time only", "never

again" or "one chance in a lifetime".

The term reminds people to cherish any

gathering that they may take part in. In

Japanese culture the host accordingly

must be in true sincerity take the

greatest care of the gathering, and

ensure that nothing is rough. The guests,

for their part, must understand that the

gathering cannot occur again, and

appreciating how the host has

flawlessly planned it, and they must also

participate in true or with true

sincerity.

This is what is meant by "one time one

meeting" or "ichi-go ichi-e". Every

meeting should be treated like it is the

first and the last; and we should enjoy

every encounter to the fullest, because

it may not happen again.

Well, how many people do you think you

can meet in your lifetime? When will be

the next time you can meet these people

that you talked with today? If you think

about it for a moment, don't you think

you rather grab the opportunity right

away and talk to everyone with the best

intentions?

There is no more opportunity, but only

this time. All the meetings of today like

coffee talk, dates, lunch, dinner and so on,

they will never ever come back again.

It's sort of said, I think. "ichi-go ichi-e"

can enrich our fast-paced and

hectic daily lives by appreciating and

treasuring the meetings we have, because

they are unique.

"one time one meeting" on this rainy New

Zealand summer day.

actually in Times Square,

and I thought this was like a really great place

to talk about a subject that's really been

playing with my mind for months and months now,

and I've been testing different theories out,

and I call it the reactive versus responsive.

And it's making sure that, you know at a time like today,

where we have social media going on,

there's lights, everybody right here wants our attention.

Attention is everywhere.

There's lights, there's cameras, there's social media,

there's apps, there's phone calls,

there's instant messaging, we're 24/7 connected.

In the world of 24/7 connected,

how do we stop being reactive?

And you know, if you continue to be reactive,

what is gonna happen to the business,

what's gonna happen to choices that you make?

You see it's really important to make sure that

we don't just go into reactive mode

if someone calls us, if someone emails us,

there could be problems in the business,

there could be a client complaint,

there could be people that want to do business with you,

but if you consistently stay at that reactive mode,

the right decisions, the right opportunities,

will not execute correctly.

So I call it being responsive,

and making sure that you're very responsive

on what you're talking about, not reactive.

Making sure that you're getting your messages out

really clearly every time.

So instead of just reacting straight away,

just take a second, take a moment,

and be responsive with your answers.

In a society like today, yes we need the quick answers,

but what people are looking for are the right answers,

people are looking for leadership,

people are looking for business owners that can make sure

that they're delivering the best possible

product and service to the marketplace.

So next time that you take that phone,

next time that somebody wants that quick answer,

just stop for a second, and say am I being reactive

in this situation, or could I provide a much better response

to this situation?

We want to develop

We are only at the beginning

How to take care of cymbidium - watering, fertilizing, rebloom, medium, bud blast, recognize spikes - Duration: 9:35.

Hello, guys!

Welcome back!

Today's video is about cymbidiums, and I want to share with you my care tips for these

showy orchids, that impress me even when they are not in bloom.

These orchids are prized for their long-lasting sprays of flowers, used especially as cut

flowers or for corsages in the spring.

There are two main types of cymbidiums - standards and miniatures.

Where summer nights are warm (above 70 F), only miniatures can be recommended, because

they are more tolerant to heat and able to flower in warmer weather.

Light is one of the most important factors for growing cymbidiums.

The maximum amount of light possible, short of burning, should be given to the plants.

I am keeping my cymbidium outdoors, from when it finishes flowering in the spring, till

late autumn, just before the frost comes.

I keep it in a very bright location (about 3000-5000 foot candles), in my garden, next

to my vanda orchids.

This means only light shade during the middle of the day, or about 20 percent shade, between

12 AM to 4 PM.

Leaves should be a medium to light green in color, not dark green.

Temperatures are another critical factor in flowering standard and miniature cymbidiums.

During the summer, standard cymbidiums are usually grown outside in semishade, where

day temperatures should be 75 to 85 F (or more), or 24-30 C, but night temperatures

in the late summer to autumn (August to October) must be 50 to 60 F (10-15C) to initiate flower

spikes.

Optimum temperatures in winter are 45 to 55 F (7-13) at night and 65 to 75 F (18-24C)

during the day.

When plants are in bud, temperatures must be as constant as possible, between 55 and

75 F (13-24 C).

Miniatures can stand temperatures five to 10 degrees higher than standards and still

flower.

Most cymbidiums can tolerate light frosts and survive, but this is not recommended.

Bring them inside when temperatures dip to 40 F. 5C .In mild climates, they can be grown

outside year round.

A bright and cool location inside is best for winter months.

Cymbidiums are semiterestrial orchids, meaning they require a finer potting medium, and that

they don't breath trough their roots.

Generally, cymbidium grow new pseudobulbs during spring, summer and early autumn, meaning

that in this period they require tremendous amounts of water.

So, in this period, my cymbidium stays constantly moist.

Water heavily during the growth season, keeping the potting material evenly moist.

You can reduce the water when the pseudobulbs are fully mature.

During the winter, you need to keep it barely moist.

Humidity is not a critical factor in growing cymbidiums.

They are not fussy, and they will grow very well even with a humidity under 40%.

But, you need to keep humidity at 40 to 60 percent during the winter, especially if plants

are in bud.

Keep the air moving to prevent fungus (Botrytis) from spotting the flowers.

Bud blast is a common issue with these orchids.

The buds are very sensitive to temperature variations.

To prevent that, I recommend you keep your cymbidium in the same place, from when the

spikes starts to emerge, till the buds are fully open.

At this stage, you can move them to another room for a better display, if you want to.

But do not move cymbidiums in bud from one room to another, as this can cause serious

bud blast.

Cymbidiums are heavy feaders.

In the growing season, I fertilize mine every other watering, with a diluted fertilized

solution of 400-450 PPM.

My fertilizer is a 14-8-10-2 NPKMg.

In between fertilizings, I make sure to flush the pots with rain water.

In winter, fertilize once a month.

A very common issue with cymbidiums is the apeareance of black leaf tips.

This is caused by the acumulation of too much salts insite the pot, or by using a too strong

fertilizer.

I know cymbidiums are heavy feaders, but you must flush the pots trougly between fertilizings

with rain water.

I also got some black leaf tips, but mines are caused by too much heat, when the plant

sit too close to my heater.

I ocasionally get these in the sumer time as well, when we have over 35 C. I like to

trim off those black tips, and the best way to do it is with a sterilized swizers, and

I like to cut at an angle, in V form.

This makes the cut look much more natural.

You can sterilize the cut wound with cinnamon if you like, but I usually don't to this,

as I have good air flow, and I never had an leaf getting infected.

But is is only availble for orchids that have thin leaves.

Potting is usually done in the spring after flowering, usually every three years or when

the potting medium decomposes.

I like to repot mine in the garden and use the garden hoze to help the medium get out

from between the roots.

Cymbidiums are semiterestrial orchids, that produce huge amounts of roots, and like to

be pot bound.

Pick a water-retentive potting mix; I use for mine a mixture of 40% peat mooss, 10%

perlite 30% spagnamoss and 20% medium-grade fir bark.

Select a pot that will allow for at least two to three years of pseudobulb growth before

crowding the pot, while planning on placing the active growing pseudobulb(s) of the division

farthest from the side of the pot.

Spread the roots over a cone of the mix in the bottom of the pot and fill the container

with medium, working it among the roots, very gently.

Cymbidiums can be divided very easly, and there is no need for a specific number of

pseudobulbs.

Single backbulbs can sprout and grow very well, and they don't even need to be placed

in mix until new growth and roots are noted.

Keep shaded and warm until new growth sprouts, and pot as above.

In order to rebloom these orchids, you need to provide a dropping temperature of at least

10 C, but you can go down to 5 C. They can witstand even freezing temperatures for short

periods of time.

You need to provide these cooler temperatures for at least 2 weeks, before you start to

see signs of spikes.

This can be very confusing for some of you, as tiny spikes look just like new growths.

A very good way to distinguesh them is by gently pressing on the middle of the spike,

when it is about 5 cm tall.

Do it too soon, and it won't have air inside.

Do it when the spike is taller, and the spike will already start to form inside those sheaths,

and you might risk squeeze the buds.

If it has air inside, means it's a spike.

But you need to do this very gentle, as you may sqish tiny buds.

A safer way to check it is by using a flash light.

Or, even better, wait for a few weeks and you will see, wither the leaves staring to

unfold, meaning it's a growth, or buds staring to poke up trough the sheaths.

Put together a parfait. If you like a bit more crunch for breakfast than typically found in a smoothie, try putting together a fruit and yogurt parfait. Layer together low-fat yogurt with some healthful toppings: crushed nuts, rolled oats, and fresh cut fruits for sweetness. Packaged granola can be laden with added sugars and oils, so it's best to avoid them. Instead, opt for making your own healthy granola. Peanut or another type of sun butter can also be a nice addition to yogurt parfaits.

Bake up a breakfast treat with yogurt. Nonfat plain yogurt can replace the sour cream or other fats used in many baked goods recipes. Yogurt will add moisture and tenderness to traditional coffee cake, carrot cake, and muffin recipes, for example, while cutting a lot of the fat and calories.

which is gonna be crucial and vital to your engine's performance as well as ensuring that

you're running at a hundred percent.

So in terms of the construction and materials here guys, everything you see on the table

here except this pod itself is gonna be included in the kit.

That's gonna be the gauge itself, your tubing, a couple pieces of hardware that are inside

the box, as well as this little sleeve ring here.

Now I do wanna mention that this is not gonna come with a pod like I have right here.

You can pick this up for almost next to nothing but if this isn't the look that you're after

and you don't want this to be sitting on your dash when you're driving, you could look into

a Roush vent-integrated gauge where this will fit snugly in your AC vent.

So the gauge itself that I have here today is gonna be a mechanical one versus an electronic

one.

In my personal opinion, they're gonna measure boost or bar pretty similarly, but it's been

widely argued out there on the forums that one's gonna be better than the other, and

the at the end of the day I honestly think a mechanical gauge is gonna give you exactly

what you're gonna need here.

And despite that, the pricing is gonna be that much more different versus a mechanical

to an electronic gauge, and you'll see that on the website.

So one last thing I do wanna mention here is that this gauge is gonna give you the ability

to cycle between a blue and white color, whatever's gonna be fitting for your personal taste,

and I think it meshes pretty okay with the factory interior of the F-150.

All right guys, so taking a look at the pricing here, you should expect to be spending about

50 bucks for just the gauge itself, I think it's pretty aggressively priced considering

what you're gonna be getting here, along with having the ability to measure your boost or

bar on the fly.

Now again I do wanna call out that this pod is not going to come with this kit, and you

will need to purchase it separately.

But if that's not the look that you're after, you can pick up a Roush vent-integrated gauge

pod, which will accommodate any 52 mm gauge which is gonna fit snugly in your AC vent.

So again, for the money here, for an EcoBoost owner that's looking to measure your boost,

in the event that you're gonna be installing a custom tune or a downpipe, or for a supercharged

V8 truck owner that's throwing a smaller pulley, maybe a set of long tubes on there, you're

definitely gonna wanna be able to measure that boost on the fly to ensure that everything

is working at a hundred percent.

So switching gears to the installation portion of the video, just like I had said up top,

you're gonna be lookin' at a pretty simple one out of three wrenches in the difficulty

meter, at about an hour's worth of labor to get this onto your truck.

So I will say that this is gonna be a really quick glance at how this is gonna need to

be installed, most if not all boost gauges are gonna install pretty similarly and you're

essentially gonna need to just tap a vacuum line, run your wiring to a power source, and

you're good to go.

All right guys, so just to wrap things up here for the EcoBoost owner or if you're running

a blown V8, I would definitely suggest checking out this product for your F-150.

And today, I'm bringing you my quick review and breakdown of the Black Hood Decal fitting

the 2015 through current F-150.

So in this video, I'm gonna talk about who this quick-to-install and very inexpensive

mod is going to appeal to, the construction and materials that went into this, what you

should expect to be spending, and then we'll take a very quick look at the installation,

where I'm gonna be giving this a very easy one out of three wrenches in the difficulty

meter and about an hour to get this onto your truck, and we'll have a little bit more for

you on that later.

So, the Black Hood Decal that I have here today should definitely appeal to any F-150

owner out there that's looking for a very quick to install mod that's sure to turn heads

and set your truck apart from the pack.

I personally think this is definitely a great mod for anyone just looking to throw a little

bit more color up on your hood as the recessed area on the 2015 through current F-150s is

just begging for it.

I honestly think that this is definitely something that, in my opinion, is gonna mimic some of

the looks of what you might find on a special edition of Roush F-150 or maybe even a Shelby

F-150.

Not only that, it's definitely gonna be giving you a little bit more protection, but I wouldn't

expect much here as this is honestly just gonna be a vinyl Decal.

So taking a look at the construction and materials here guys, this is gonna be something that

is cut, designed, tested repeatedly in-house right here to ensure that you're gonna have

a perfect fit installing this every time.

Now, this is gonna be comprised of a four-mil cast vinyl, which is something that you're

typically gonna find on high-end exotic car shops as this is gonna be a material that's

typically used to wrap cars.

Now a great thing about this material is that it's gonna feature an air release technology

on the underside, which essentially means that you're not gonna have to fight the product

like you would find with an inferior style material or something that you might find

from a couple years back.

Another cool thing about this is that this is gonna have a built-in clear coat layering

on top.

As you can see, it's definitely got a lot of shine to it.

If that's not your thing, we will have this in a matte black option as well.

One last thing that I really do like about this is that we're gonna have this backed

by an eight-year warranty.

So in the event that you're gonna have any issues, be it fading coming up over time,

we're gonna have you covered here.

So taking a look at the pricing here, guys, you should expect to only be spending about

30 bucks here.

In my opinion, it's gonna be a huge bargain for what you're getting as this is going to

install very easily.

It's gonna set your truck apart from the pack, and give you a nice much needed dose of flare

upfront as that recessed area is just begging for something up there.

I honestly think that throwing a little bit of black on any light-colored truck is just

great as it's gonna offset most, if not all, other mods you're gonna install or just looking

to go for that Roush look.

It's definitely gonna compliment your front end as well as your truck build.

So, switching gears to the installation portion of the video, just like I had said up top,

you're gonna be looking at a very straightforward one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter and about an hour's worth of labor to get this onto your truck.

So the installation process here alone is a huge selling point for me as well as you're

not really looking at rocket science here.

You're simply gonna need the provided squeegee that we're gonna have in the box for you,

a little bit of water and soap mixture to essentially coat your hood to get this into

place, and a little bit of patience.

What you're gonna wanna do is take a little bit of soap, get it into a water bottle, coat

your hood really nice and get it saturated, just so you can get this into place, and then

use the provided squeegee to move the excess moisture out.

Now, one thing that I would definitely suggest doing is make sure you have a second set of

hands to get this onto your truck.

The F-150's hood is definitely on the massive side and it can be a little bit tough if you're

gonna do this by yourself.

So, it's just a great idea to have somebody else there to help you get this into place,

and make sure it's fit and secure.

So, just to wrap things up here, some final thoughts.

I definitely like this option, not only based on the fact that the install is a breeze like

we just saw, but the fact that this is not gonna cost you an arm and a leg, like what

you might find with some custom shops, the quality materials here, and lastly for the

fact that you're gonna be giving your truck some very aggressive looks, again, something

like what you might find from the special edition Roush F-150 and not looking like every

other F-150 out there on the road.

California on Abbot Kinney Street.

What are we up to today? Well we're here

My lovely girlfriend. Hey guys.

And we're going to go try to find some shop.

We're doing a shopping challenge. The goal

is we're each going to have 50 bucks, and we'll see who

can buy the coolest things for each other with 50

bucks on Abbott Kinney, which is not easy because

there's a lot of high price shops here.

We're going to start off with lunch at a

our favorite restaurant, Gjelina.

Always a line here, so it's smart to

make a reservation, and they can text you

in 20 minutes when it's ready.

Going to go for the Japanese sweet potato

with jalapeno yogurt and scallions.

OK. The charred brussels sprouts and

the tuna salad.

The main course we have is roasted chicken

with a little sauce. The pizzas here are great.

We got the mushroom truffle goat cheese which is just

like a trifecta of my favorite things.

Everything looks absolutely amazing.

The pizzas here, like Marko said, are incredible,

but anything with truffle oil and goat

cheese is like a guaranteed, winning

combination.

Lunch was great, but now we've come up

with the formula for what's going to happen.

What's going to happen ? Basically we've got

45 minutes each. We've got 50 bucks, which is

not a lot..a stretch on Abbott Kinney.

We're all going to get gifts for each other.

We thought this out; you've drawn up

We didn't know the story behind Venice.

Originally, this place was built to be like Venice, Italy.

This street here was a canal,

as were many here in Venice. It got

filled in later in the ' 40s , I think .

Abbott Kinney has gone through a lot of

evolution, from kind of a seedy place in

the '70s , to now one of the most trendy spots.

All these stores are super expensive.

So the challenge is really going to be to

find something affordable.

We are at Intelligentsia on Abbott Kinney,

one of the better coffee

shops in Venice. There's quite a few.

Carrie's favorite. Intelligentsia is

amazing all over L.A., started in Chicago

so good. My shopping or Carrie has been

completed. Now Carrie and I are going to

take off and shop for Marko.

2010-2014 Mustang MMD by FOOSE Rear Spoiler - Pre-Painted Review & Install - Duration: 3:50.

Hey guys, Stephanie with americanmuscle.com here with a review of the MMD by FOOSE pre-painted

rear spoiler for all 2010-2014 Mustangs.

In this video we're gonna talk about a few different topics when it comes to this rear

spoiler, we're gonna talk about the materials and construction and the install as well.

Of course I'll go into more detail later on here, but I can tell you right now that this

rear spoiler is gonna be an easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter if

your car has or had the stock spoiler.

If your car didn't have a spoiler from the factory, the install will be a two out of

three wrenches because you will need a drill for the install.

The MMD by FOOSE pre-painted rear spoiler is gonna be for those S197 owners out there

that are looking for a rear spoiler that's gonna blend with the body lines of the car

and that's available already pre-painted to match your Mustang's color.

This is once again another collab between Chip Foose and MMD with the goal of making

a piece that has a clean but custom styling.

If we look at the styling of the spoiler first, this is a solid one-piece spoiler and it isn't

gonna leave the deck width at all.

The sides here extend out to the edges of the car and they taper off.

It does have a notched design right here, which gives you a spot to see a little bit

more when you look out of your rearview mirror.

You are gonna notice this on the back of your car, especially if you're coming from a no

spoiler situation, but this isn't too tall to block your view and cause issues.

So this version of the spoiler does arrive to you pre-painted and ready to go right out

of the box.

It's painted right here at American Muscle with the same base and clear coat paint that

Ford uses so you know that it's gonna match your factory paint perfectly.

Now MMD does sell this spoiler unpainted as well for those of you that would like to take

this to your own paint shop.

That version will cost less than the pre-painted version, but just keep in mind that that one

is not gonna arrive to you all finished like this one is.

As far as materials and construction, this is made from blow-molded ABS plastic.

That means that it's gonna be lightweight and have a long life.

ABS is commonly used for exterior pieces because it has that long life, impact resistance,

and because it's lightweight.

When it comes to price you can expect to pay right about the $300 mark for the painted

version of this spoiler.

The unpainted version will cost less, but just keep in mind that you need to finish

that yourself.

So the install here is overall not difficult, but if you're looking at having to drill it's

obviously gonna be a little bit harder than installing the spoiler on the car if you already

have the holes for the spoiler.

That being said, I'm gonna call this install a one out of three wrenches if you have a

spoiler already, and a two out of three wrenches if you don't happen to have one from the factory,

and you can plan on about an hour's time to get this installed.

You can always have a body shop install this for you, but if you're looking at doing this

yourself an extra set of hands is always a good idea.

If you have to drill, just use the template and take your time.

You're gonna get everything you need to install this piece in the box.

You're gonna get your spoiler, foam pads for between the deck lid and the spoiler, your

hardware, alcohol pads and adhesive promoter, since this does install with both hardware

and some 3M tape, and you get a template for those of you that need a drill for the install.

Your deck lid liner will need to come off for the install as well as the factory spoiler

if you have one, but that just requires a few fasteners.

The third brake light comes out with the through screws and then you can mock up your new spoiler.

Since this installs with both tape and hardware, just make sure it's aligned correctly before

taking the backing off of the 3M tape.

If you're looking at drilling for the install, I'd loosely install the spoiler with the standard

mounting points and align the template.

You wanna tape the template down so it doesn't move, and then remove the spoiler so you can

start drilling.

Once that's done and the spoiler is aligned, you can remove the backing off the 3M tape

and install the spoiler with the provided hardware.

Wrapping things up here with the MMD by FOOSE rear spoiler, this spoiler comes pre-painted

but it's also available unpainted.

It's painted with the same paint Ford uses so it'll match your car's color perfectly,

and it's designed to give a clean but custom look and it's made from ABS.
