making a table planter for growing money plant

this is a

painted fiber cement board

to make a table planter

we need some materials

first one is cement board or wooden board

this is the base of the planter

you can use old wooden board

cement paste

cement paste to make cement paste

just add water to cement and make sure you

don't add too much water

and

we need some kind of stones

gravel stone chips

pebble stones

white aquarium stones

and

some rock pieces collected from wild area

and clay pot

garden miniatures

coco peat

now

paste the rock pieces in the board

using cement paste

this is the pot placing area

i'm pasting the stones as round shape

mark the planting area

after marked

paste the stones

decorating and planting

put the white stones in the pot

add coco peat

and

place the rooted money plant leaves

in the coco peat

cocopeat holds enough water to the plant

we don't need to add any other potting medium

add the stones

on the top of cocopeat

because

stones protect the coco peat and

keeps moisture

and also

gives beautiful look

add some decorative items

watering to this planter

pour the water once in 3 days

don't pour too much water

and

you can use spray water

keep the plant in shade area or indoor

How to Draw structural formula for organic compounds - Dr K - Duration: 10:43.

Hi! Welcome to ChemSimplified. I'm Dr. K and in this video,

we are going to go through how to draw structural formula for organic compounds using three examples.

Chances are high that when you encounter the structures for organic

compounds, they don't always come in the same form, so, it'll come in handy if you

know how to draw structures using different ways, like expanded, condensed

and bond-line or skeletal forms. Before we dive in, let's take a look at how each

of the three structural formulas look like. Here's how an expanded structural

formula looks like. Notice all the bonds connecting the atoms are shown in the

expanded form? This is the closest form drawn from Lewis structure.

Next is condensed structural formula. In condensed structural formula all of the

bonds connecting carbons to hydrogens are not shown. Instead they are condensed

into groups of CH3, CH2 and CH. Lastly is the bond line or the skeletal structural formula.

In this form, it's basically what the name says skeletal. It doesn't show

out the atoms for carbons and hydrogens. It only shows the bond

connecting them and if there are other atoms in the molecule like bromine in

our example, then it will be written out. So now that we are familiar with how

these three types look like, let's go ahead and try with our first example,

drawing from expanded and we move to condense and then from condense we draw

to bond line. So let's start with our first example. It's an alkyl halide. Don't worry

about it if you're not able to classify the compound at this point. I'll put a

link to the introduction to the organic compound on the top right of this video.

So before we begin drawing from expanded to condensed, it would be a good idea to

start numbering our compound, our parent chain which is basically the longest

chain that you can count from one end to the other continuously and whatever that

is not on the chain that's attached to the chain those are the substituent.

So let me demonstrate. So if we look at our expanded structure

right now I can label from one end to the other like this and whatever that's

not on the carbon like for example bromine and CH3, these

would be our substituents. So right now in our structure we have bromine

attached to carbon 1, CH3 attached to carbon 4. Don't worry about it too

much in terms of numbering unless you need to know how to name the

nomenclature and in that case I will post related videos in the description

box below. So based on our expanded structure we have five carbon and

bromine on carbon 1 and CH3 group on carbon 4. So in the condensed

structure what we're gonna do is basically just condense out all the CH

groups so it will look like this. So notice Br is still connected to

carbon 1 and CH3 is connected to carbon 4 and the rest of it we just

don't show out the vertical bonds like the carbon and the hydrogen bonds.

Instead we only show the carbon and carbon bonds and sometimes you'll notice

that the bonds between the carbon and carbon are not shown and that is fine as

well. So it may look something like this and this is still fine because bromine

is too attached to the first carbon and CH3 is still attached to the carbon 4

and sometimes you may also find that when is condensed further the CH3 or

carbon 4 is not drawn out it will just be written as part of the formula.

And it will look like this so bromine on carbon 1, that's fine.

The CH3 is written squashed between carbon 3 and carbon 4 and that is

fine as well. So condensed form, there are several ways of drawing it out depending

on your preference and if you want to show the bonds between the carbon that

would be the first example if you want to take out the bonds between the carbon

that would be the second example if you want to take out the all the bonds

between the carbons and not showing how the

substituent is connected you can embed it in between the atoms and show in a

third example. If that's a little bit too difficult for you then stick with the

first or the second way of drawing condensed form. Now we move on to

bond-line or a skeletal structure so we have 5 carbon we'll number it

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and bromine on the first carbon, CH3 on the fourth carbon and

that's how it looks like very clean very simple very straightforward. So every

point in our skeletal structure represents a carbon and the

corresponding number of hydrogens. So we know that carbon forms four bonds so for

example if we look at our first carbon in the skeletal structure there are 2 bonds.

1 to bromine and 1 to carbon number 2, so from that structure we

know that carbon 1 should have two hydrogens and if we refer to the

expanded or the condensed form we can see that carbon number 1 has two hydrogens.

And now we move on to like for example carbon 5. So if you look

at carbon 5, carbon 5 in the skeletal structure only has one bond so

that means carbons supposed to have 4 bonds, so 4 minus 1 will give us 3.

So carbon 5 will have 3 hydrogens attached to it, so it's a CH3.

Make sense? So this is how the structures look like without all the circling and

the numbering. So expanded form moving into condensed it's cleaned up a little

bit we don't show that many bonds we group our CH groups and condensed move into

bond line or skeletal we clean it up even further so we don't even write out

carbons and hydrogens and we only show the bonds between carbons to carbon.

No bonds carbon to hydrogens are shown. Ok? Feeling good? Let's try our second example.

So this is our expanded structure.

This is an alkene. So in our structure we have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. 5 carbons again. There are

something a little bit different here. There's a double bond

between carbon 2 and carbon 3 and also there's that same CH3 group on carbon 4.

Now we're gonna move on to a condensed structure. So like we've already went

through with the first example, condensed structure means we will just not show

the carbon hydrogen bond instead we are just going to group it up together.

So let's start off by drawing out the C-C double bond between carbon 2 and carbon 3.

If you notice because of the double bond carbon 2 only has two other bonds

attached to it. Same goes to carbon 3 so that's why I have these two bonds

sticking up and down on carbon 2 and carbon 3. Now let's fill out the bonds so

carbon 2 there are two groups to attach to it one is carbon 1 which has 3

hydrogens so I group it up as CH3. That's carbon 1. The other group attached to

carbon 2 aside from CH3 is a hydrogen. Okay, now let's look at carbon 3.

Carbon 3, there are two groups attached to it,

one is a hydrogen and the other one is carbon 4 and since carbon 4 has

hydrogen and then a CH3 and another CH3 group attached to it, I just went ahead

and condensed up the CH so I wrote it as a CH for carbon 4 and then carbon 4

is connected to basically two CH3 groups. So the first CH3 group is our carbon 5

and the other CH3 group is our substituent. Okay, alright! So now we move

to skeletal structure. So skeletal structure, the first thing we do is we

draw out the skeleton so we have a skeleton of five carbon which means we

will do a zigzag containing five points. So if you notice I have five points here

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and between our carbon 2 & 3 there should be another line, two lines

total to represent a double bond because right now everything is single bonded so

I'm gonna put in a double bond between carbon 2 and carbon 3 so there we go so

now we have a double bond between C2 and C3 and now we need to stick in our

CH3 group and that's at carbon 4 that's our CH3 at carbon number 4.

Okay, moving on to our third example. This is a carboxylic acid. So we only have

four carbons in this example. C double bond O is on the first carbon, OH is

also on the first carbon. So COOH, C double bond O, OH can be shortened or

condensed to look like this COOH and then we're gonna put in our

second carbon which is CH2 ,third carbon which is also CH2 and the fourth carbon

which is CH3 and that's it. Pretty easy, right? Okay, moving on to bond line or

skeletal so this is pretty easy as well. Same like what we did for the second

example we count how many carbons we have in our skeleton and in this case we

have four carbons so I'm gonna draw a zigzag containing four points like this

1, 2, 3, 4. Ok now on the first carbon I am going to attach my C double bond O and

then I'm going to attach my OH. And that's it. So we're all done. We went

through three different types of structural formula - expanded, condensed

Travis Scott is reportedly suing a car dealership after they allegedly took $70,000 from him for a car that never existed.

The 25-year-old rapper - who has daughter Stormi, who turns two months on Sunday (0104.

18) with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner - is said to be launching legal action against Richard Martinez, VIP Services and Jorge Maldonado, as he claims they stole the whopping sum from him in a supposed transaction for a car which he never received.

According to TMZ, Travis claims he wanted to buy a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan from Maldonado, who then hired Martinez and his VIP Services to broker a deal.

The publication reports that the Butterfly Effect rapper trusted Martinez to complete the deal after he claimed to have brokered dozens of deals for high-profile figures, including members of 20-year-old Kylies famous Kardashian family.

Travis alleges that he was told to wire $70,000 to Martinez as a deposit in order to close the deal, but months after doing so the star claims he still hasnt received the flashy vehicle.

The Antidote hitmaker believes that Maldonado was paid to bring Travis to Martinez so the dealer could pull off the scam, and Travis is now suing to have his $70,000 returned.

Travis - whose real name is Jacques Webster - is no stranger to buying cars, as he purchased a Ferrari for his girlfriend as a push present ahead of their daughters arrival on February 1.

Kylie took to social media after Stormis birth to share a video of the car, in which she could be heard saying in the background: Push present!.

Since the arrival of their tot, Travis has reportedly been a very hands-on father.

A source said: He [Travis] cant get enough and wants to just hold her and stare at her. Its still surreal for him that they created this [child].

A group of South Korean musicians will be giving a rare performance in North Korea this

evening -- the first of its kind in 13 years.

It comes ahead of the inter-Korean summit talks set to take place on April 27th.

It's also reciprocating performances by artists from North Korea who came to the South in

February ahead of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

The two-hour show tonight in the North Korean capital... called "Spring is Coming,"... will

include performances by popular artists such as Cho Yong-pil, the girl group Red Velvet

and Seohyun.

They'll be making a second appearance on Tuesday.

A South Korean Taekwondo team will also be performing this afternoon.

Their second show, on Monday, will include performers from the North.

South Korea and the United States today, as scheduled, are starting one of their joint

annual military exercises,... called Foal Eagle.

This year, Foal Eagle was postponed for the Winter Olympics and Paralympics in South Korea;

it normally starts in late February or early March.

It's also shorter this time.

Foal Eagle will take four weeks instead of the usual two months, wrapping up by the time

South Korean President Moon Jae-in heads for an historic summit with North Korean leader

Kim Jong-un.

The South Korean military has said that the size of the drills will be similar to previous

years,... it's reported that they'll be less "intense" -- that is, fewer U.S. strategic

assets will be involved, and so on, to emphasize the exercise's defensive nature.

Around 11-thousand-500 U.S. personnel are taking part alongside some 300-thousand South

Koreans.

North Korea will take part in next two Olympics: IOC chief Bach - Duration: 2:20.

The President of the International Olympic Committee,Thomas Bach, has returned from his

trip to North Korea, where he met with leader Kim Jong-un in Pyongyang.

As our Kim Hyesung reports, it looks like Bach got Kim's commitment to have North Korea

participate in the next summer and winter Olympics.

North Korea will take part in the next two Olympic Games in Tokyo and Beijing.

That's according to International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach on Saturday

upon his arrival in Beijing after meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Pyongyang.

"The National Olympic Committee of DPRK...they announced us that they will definitely participate

in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 as well as the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.

This commitment was fully supported by the supreme leader of the DPRK in a vey open and

fruitful discussion I had with him yesterday."

Bach added that the IOC will make a proposal for a potential joint march or joint activities

for the two Koreas during the Tokyo and possibly the Beijing Games.

According to the Associated Press, the IOC chief had a 30-minute formal meeting with

Kim Jong-un on Friday followed by casual discussions while watching a football match in Pyongyang.

North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency on Saturday said Bach expressed his

"heartfelt thanks" to Kim over the North's participation at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics

in South Korea, which made the event a "symbol of peace."

The agency said the North Korean leader also thanked Bach for the IOC's special measures,

allowing North Korean athletes to compete in South Korea, and helping contribute to

a peaceful dialogue.

The IOC chief traveled to Pyongyang on Thursday and also met with North Korea's sports minister

during his stay.

Athletes from the two Koreas marched under a single "unified Korea" flag at the opening

ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, and the two Koreas have seen a significant

thaw in tensions ever since.

Korea's exports in March continued to rise for a 17th straight month.

According to the trade ministry, outbound shipments came to just under 51-point-6 billion

dollars, the highest ever recorded for the month of March.

From a year earlier, they were up almost 3 billion dollars.

And Korea maintained a trade surplus for 77th straight month -- that's going on six and

a half years.

The surplus was worth nearly 6-point-9 billion.

For the first quarter as a whole, exports were up 10-point-3 percent... for Korea's

sixth quarter in a row of gains.

Three South Korean sailors on a fishing boat are presumed to have been kidnapped by pirates

in waters off the coast of Ghana.

According to Seoul's foreign ministry -- a fishing boat called the Marine 7-1-1 with

more than 40 crew members on board -- was believed to have been hijacked by pirates

last Monday.

While moving into Nigerian waters, the pirates moved some of the sailors,... including the

three South Koreans,... to a speed boat -- but their whereabouts are unknown.

The hijacked boat, meanwhile, arrived at a port in Ghana on Wednesday and some 40 Ghanaian

sailors were released.

The government says its closely cooperating with nearby countries to find the victims

and get them home safely.

Korean researchers mass produce swine flu vaccine using tobacco leaves - Duration: 1:41.

Korean researchers have found a new way to mass produce vaccines for pigs... against

foot and mouth disease.

And they used an unusual ingredient -- tobacco leaves.

It's cost effective, and hopefully can help Korea stay free of FMD.

Park Se-young has more.

This factory is filled with tobacco plants.

Using the leaves of these plants, Korean researchers have developed a technology to mass produce

a swine flu vaccine.

After inserting swine flu antibodies into tobacco seeds, the researchers grew the plants

and extracted the antibodies from their leaves.

When infected pigs were injected with the vaccine, their temperatures dropped immediately.

At one-third the price of existing cell-based vaccines, the plant-based vaccine is safe

and can be used for pork exports.

"It's much safer compared to live vaccines and can be used more easily on site.

Its marker function helps us achieve FMD-free status."

Tobacco leaves can be harvested monthly since plant factories are unaffected by seasons

or external conditions.

The vaccine provides a healthy way to utilize the tobacco plant.

"Instead of consuming tobacco the usual way, we can introduce techniques like protein extraction

and vaccine production to create added values."

The manufacturing technique for plant-derived vaccines could be applied to the production

of other medicines or for cosmetics.

Fun Easter Tradition - Grandma Coloring Eggs With Grandson Using PAAS Mini-Monsters Decorating Kit - Duration: 14:19.

It's a hard job making Easter eggs, isn't it. Oh, that made me exhausted! Are you exhausted?

Ketchup and mustard! Yuck!!!

We're baking cookies, but that takes 10 to 12 minutes, so we're gonna do

something in the meantime. We're gonna color some Easter eggs! Now you may say

this is the only kind of eggs I know about...real eggs!

Yeah, that's these. And we're gonna do something the grandma found that was

brand new at Walmart. And it's called "Easter Eggs DIY", and you don't even have

to cook them. It says no cooking required. And bright colored, non-toxic dye. And they

were only $1.98, so they were a deal, too, for a dozen. Do you want to open this?

Yeah, so first we need to open our eggs. They look really real, don't they, Cohen?

Look how real they look! Wow! Maybe we can tease and play a joke on

Uncle David, since Easter's on April Fool's Day. And we could tell him this is

the real one! What do you think? Yeah look...they don't even crack! Good, and

they're also non-toxic dye and a hundred percent recyclable.

Okay, so it says to protect your work with a disposable tablecloth or newspaper.

What colors do we have to color with? Green, yellow, yeah, pink, purple.

Yeah, it looks purple, but do you think it's really blue...maybe it's electric blue.

And we could mix blue and green and it makes turquoise. Or pink and blue

makes purple. And blue and yellow makes green.

Okay, Cohen, can you go ahead and put the first egg in there. Okay, now let's make...you wanna do

the pink one first? Okay, let's go open the pink one.

Okay, let's pour a little dye in there. Okay, now we got to grab it like this and

then we squish it up. Can you do this? Squish it like that with both hands. Can

you squish it? Yeah roll it around, pull it around some more.

Good job! What color is it turning? Pink!

Ok, now let it go. Ooooo...we're gonna shake it!

Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake! Hey do you think it's ready to come out?

We're gonna take it out. Ooooo...pretty! Okay, now we're gonna do a blue one.

Good job. Okay, now you hold the bag with both hands, and grandmas gonna get the

dye out. We're gonna need to squish it around again, so like this yeah. We push

it back and forth, and back and forth. Can you squish it. Look at that! Is it getting

nice and blue? Yeah. Look how pretty. Isn't that pretty. It's like a robin's egg blue,

isn't it. Wow! Oh so gorgeous, yeah I like it.

Okay. Ready to pull it out. Okay let's see what it looks like. We'll take the egg

out of the baggie. Oh it's pretty. It is pretty, grandma! I like it.

This will be a yellow one!

Yeah, it's gonna be yellow. This is real easy to do, and probably older kids could even do

this by their self. But Cohen's just three, so we're gonna use grandmas help.

Yeah we squish it down in the dye again. Squish, squish, squish you little egg.

You little egg. Oh look how pretty it looks. It looks like a little bitty egg

banana. It's so yellow, and it's so pretty. See what it looks like. Wow, look at that!

It's dark and cool. Yeah it's darker isn't it. Let's put it

right up there by Mr. blue okay. Now which one do we do next. Okay ready?

Throw it in the bag. Okay hold it with both hands. What color is next? Green!

That's right - as green as the grass. Hold onto the top, and then just go squishy, squishy,

squishy. You could put some music on

while you do this, couldn't we.

And then we're gonna get our cookies over here to decorate.

Red and orange. Uh Huh. Yeah orange is good. Now what we're gonna do is mix every bag in here.

Cohen what are these? Cars, with eggs in them. Yeah, they're called egg racers.

They're made by Disney and Nickelodeon and we got him at our friendly Walmart store.

They were only a dollar ninety eight apiece, and we're gonna have some

racing with these. But first we need to put them together, and they just

pop on like that. Real easy to do. And then we can put some stickers on it.

The Nickelodeon one is Paw Patrol. Doing good work, Cohen. Thank you.

It's almost already about done.

I put this sticker on and they're all done. How do you like it now. You're gonna do

grandma's car? Can you get my car done for me? Cuz I need to put another batch of

cookies in the oven. I'm all done. That's enough stickers on you!

what color you're gonna race today. Yellow. Yeah the yellow. Okay and then whichever

you think should go in my car. Green! The green one.

We're on to our next family tradition for Easter, coloring real eggs.

This is like a traditional egg coloring kit by PAAS. I guess we call it paws, I'm

not sure. This year we bought the one that has the monster stickers. Look at

those monster wrappers. And what are these, Cohen? Monster eyeballs. Look at

those eyeballs, monster eyeballs, and lips, and mouths, and everything because we're

gonna make monster eggs. We even have monster hair. I didn't know

it came with hair. That's pretty cool huh. We're going to take each of the dots and

put it in half a cup of water with two tablespoons

of white vinegar. Do you wanna smell what this smells like?

Smell this. Does that smell bad? Ewwwww! That smell bad yeah. But that's what's

needed to keep the color on. I dissolved yet? Uh huh. Okay so we're gonna

let it sit in there. Okay we're gonna put the next color in the next cup. So the next

thing you're gonna do is punch out all these little circles.

That's what's gonna hold the eggs after we color them. It's a hard job making Easter

eggs isn't it. Uh huh. Oh that makes me exhausted.

Does it make it really tired? Are you exhausted? Oh Cohen are you eggs-hausted?

I feel like I need a nap right now. Bye bye, toodle-oo. No don't leave me I need

help. Oh you're gonna help me stick the eggs in.

we're gonna do is we're gonna shrink wrap this one to be a monster right, Cohen.

So we're gonna put it in a holder.

Whoa pretty cool look at him. Awesome! It worked! Thank you Paas! We love these.

This is even on the plastic egg it used, cuz it was shrink wrapped.

So Cohen, think we had a good day with lots of teamwork. We made cookies. Tada!

And we made eggs! Look at those Easter eggs. Aren't those beautiful monster eggs!

I reached Tezpur at 4am from Shivasagar

And booked ticket for Tawang in INR 750

As soon as I reached Tezpur bus station people gathered around me asking to book ticket for Tawang

They were charging from 600 to 750 don't listen to them. 750 is final fare

You won't get the seat you want because of their advance booking.

Take the seat whatever you get because once the Sumo's left, afternoon there is no transport for Tawang.

You can get view from any seat of vehicle

Vehicles will leave at 6am and reach about 7pm to Tawang. 13 hours journey

They will stop only twice for Breakfast and Lunch

Because they have to reach Tawang on time

Road is narrow, curves and bad patches also hilly area.

Construction work is going on

Those who have motion sickness problem carry one tablet and have it one hour before journey.

Its better if you can do advance booking

If you want to go from Guwahati, journey not possible in one day

You have to book ticket till Bomdilla and from Bomdilla to Tawang next day

Guwahati to Tezpur distance is 185 km and it takes 4 hours to reach.

You need Inner line permit for Arunachal Pradesh and you can get it in Goverrnment office

You will reach at the entry gate around 8-8.30 am

You can also make permit on gate but the office will open at 9am

to save the time shared sumo people prefer you should make the permit one day before

Private vehicle is better if you are in groups and it will cost you about INR 4500

by this you can see all the good spots Tippi, Sessa, Rupa, Sela Pass on the way.

Tezpur to Tawang distance is 385 km and need 13 hours to reach

Trump Just Rained Hell Down On ISIS – Media DEAD Silent!

In continuing with the hardline that President Donald Trump has taken with the radical jihadists known as ISIS in both Iraq and Syria, U.S. and coalition forces launched 25 separate strikes against the known terror group. Directing America's finest, the United States military to bring the rain, raining Hell down on these radicals wreaking havoc across the Middle East.

According to reports from the Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve, during the two-week period between March 16 and March 29, U.S. and coalition forces launched at least 25 separate strikes against ISIS.

In Syria, the fighting continues to center around Abu Kamal. Abu Kamal is a small town located near the border of Syria and Iraq. Coalition forces are working together as part of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR).

OIR is the U.S. military's operational name for the military intervention against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. It includes campaigns in both countries. Since its launch on August 21, 2016, the U.S. Army's XVIII Airborne Corps has been responsible for Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR).

These forces are credited with destroying multiple ISIS targets including buildings, tunnel systems, tactical units, fighting positions and weapons caches. In the same area, U.S. forces also were successful in destroying a known ISIS Vehicle Bourne Improvised Explosive Device factory.

A building known to be an ISIS stronghold in Al-Shadaddi was also destroyed. This building was the site of a particularly brutal battle between the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces and ISIS back in 2016.

Meanwhile, the fighting in Iraq remains largely dispersed over a variety of locations across the country with multiple strikes occurring near Hawijah, Qayyarah, and Ramadi over the last two weeks. U.S. and coalition forces reportedly destroyed ISIS boats, tactical units, vehicles, storage facilities as well as an ISIS-held cave complex.

Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Harrigian, U.S. Air Forces Central Command commander stated of the U.S. and coalition forces and the reason for the current strikes – "This coalition team of Airmen will build upon our Iraqi partner's combat-proven capabilities to ensure a capable, affordable, professional and sustainable Iraqi Aviation Enterprise. Together with our Iraqi Security Forces partners, we will ensure the lasting defeat of ISIS in Iraq.".

Following the country's liberation from ISIS' physical presence, the coalition is transitioning to a more training-focused and building-partner-capacity role – decreasing overall coalition air support as the Iraqi Air Force assumes air missions, duties, and responsibilities necessary to ensure a lasting defeat of ISIS. The intention is that U.S. Air Force continues to reduce the role they play in the fight in Iraq.

US Special Operators also attacked ISIS in Afghanistan. Rare video of the attack was just released.

During a press briefing held earlier this week, Air Force Brig. Gen. Andrew A. Croft revealed details of the new training program being introduced to Iraqi Air Force pilots in an effort to reduce U.S. military intervention.

The program, known as CAATTS (Coalition Aviation Advisory and Training Team), is focused on teaching leadership skills to qualified Iraqi pilots, so that they may begin to lead their own missions in support of Iraqi Security Forces and in turn defend themselves without U.S. intervention.

Croft stated – "Coalition air power in support of the Iraqi Security Forces has been extremely successful in the destruction of ISIS in Iraq.

From the herculean effort in Mosul, to the rapid victories in Tal Afar, Hawija, and westward through the Euphrates River Valley, the coalition supported the Iraqis through the by, with and through strategy.

This strategy has been wildly successful, enabling the Iraqi Security Forces to reclaim their territory from a barbaric enemy, while allowing the coalition to minimize its footprint in Iraq.

It is now our job to enhance these capabilities within the Iraqi aviation enterprise, and we will do this through our train, advise and assist mission.

To accomplish this mission, we stood up a Coalition Aviation Advisory and Training team, or CAAT, in early February that leverages U.S. and coalition forces already deployed to Iraq.

By the middle of this summer, the CAAT is projected to transition into a new Air Force Wing-Iraq, with the explicit mission of advancing the capabilities of the Iraqi aviation commands.

The formation of this training effort is a crucial step as we continue to assist the Iraqis in consolidating their gains after years of tough combat.

It is our goal to make them better as a partner in mission areas such as border security, protection of critical infrastructure, and the ability to defeat violent extremist organizations.

We will do this by working with pilots, technicians and planners to increase the effectiveness in areas such as basic and advanced flight training, support to Iraqi ground forces, medical evacuation, aircraft maintenance, and logistics.

The Iraqis have already achieved several milestones since the CAAT stood up, including reopening their air force academy in late February; and the Iraqi forward air controllers conducting a live-fire exercise in early March, where they successfully called in training air strikes from coalition aircraft for the first time ever.

The story of the fight against ISIS from the air is one of success, as these recent accomplishments demonstrate, and we look forward to working closely with the Iraqi aviation commands to build on those accomplishments.

Croft reports that currently there are only roughly 20 to 25 qualified F-16 pilots in the Iraqi Air Force. This program hopes to change that and one day see Iraqi Air Forces shouldering the majority of the burden in Iraq. Officials from the Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve have not released names and details of the actual units involved in the strike effort. However, they did confirm both U.S. and coalition aircraft including fighter, bomber, and rotor-wing were all used.
