This is Evi 2.0 :V

Updated sounds, effects, scripts...

bug fixes, and added some new functions :)

Lets go over some of the functions...

New Poofer ^^ (SL Teleport Effects)

Teleport: Fast, Owner to Target relocation.

Camera Teleport: Owner To CameraPosition relocation.

Color Changer: Evi can now hold 2 colors for its effects.

You can pick your desired colors by editing these 2 prims. One for each color, and touching them to save.

HUD's interface, and all function effects use your selected colors.

Feel free to play around with them. Some colors when used together look amazing.

Or if you are boring like me.. just use white :V

KFM MOVEMENT: Move target avatar to another avatar's position.

The function will stop once your target reaches their destination.

KFM MOVEMENT: Move and hold target at owner's camera position.

You can use this function to move an avatar, anywhere on the sim.

Since these "grabbers" use KFM to move, they can and will drag targets through prims without getting stuck.

Another look at the movement abilities, using different colors.

The "grabbers" are persistent. If your target escapes, they will catch them right away.

ORBIT: A typical Void Orbit. A quick way to get rid of an annoying person.

Evi has 3 types of platforms you can rez out.

Skybox.

*Ahem*

The Skybox, will also use your saved colors for its interior decor.

It looks best in midnight in my opinion, so let me switch :V

And again, you can be boring like me and use white. <.<

Skybox itself has some functions on its own.

You can access these by clicking the orb at the center.

Hide/Show will toggle the black background of the skybox.

You can pick between 3 songs to play inside your skybox.

And finally, SimInfo will display information about the region you are in.

To delete, use the Delete button in the HUD's platforms menu.

This next part of the video is me trying to get firestorm to switch back to our desert windlight setting....

I fail.

Moving on..

NPV: This special npv functions like any other npv. With a twist.

It can travel beyond a sim's borders...

Next, lets take a look at Evi's Telepad Network.

The idea is simple, you can rez out "pads" from the hud at any location you want.

and you can teleport to these locations, or move targets to them by using the movement system.

We already have a network up on the Void Sim.

You can name your pads to make it easier to tell which is which.

Any avatar who own an Evi system can use an established telepad network.

It is a perfect tool for a team of sim moderators. This is what we use when someone can not find where the arena is...

This is the pad itself. You'll have mod rights over this object, so you can hide them if you want to.

Next, lets take a look at the sim cleaner.

*Making some physical trash*

Once activated, the sim cleaner will cause all physical objects on the sim to go off-world.

Without harming the avatars :)

While a cleaner is running in the sim, no physical objects can exist.

Also, its quite a light show if you spawn more than one :p

Like every function, sim cleaner uses the color system aswell.

Next, we are going to take a look at how Evi can prevent other combat huds from working...

Evi's Build Platform.

Right.. This next function, I named "Time Dilation" :V

Can and will stop all scripts in a region for 1 minute...

HUDs will not work...

Already lauched attacks like, followers, orbiters etc... will stop working.

And it will make every avatar in the sim move in slow motion :V hence the name..

The effect lasts for a minute after it is launched...

It will not harm the region you use it in, at all.

After 1 minute passes, everything will go back to normal...

See? :D all good.

Now let me make a simple follower, so I can show you how it actually stops them...

Follower... it follows.

Starting TD

Observe:

Follower, no longer follows. :D

It is going to remain idle for the next minute...

As you can see, walking speed is painfully slow when TD is running. BUT, SL teleports are not affected by this.

Use double-click teleporting to move around.

1 minute mark. Everything goes back to normal.

Next function, Lockdown.

If TD is what you do to stop an ongoing attack, Lockdown is what you do to prevent that attack from being launched in the first place.

Activating lockdown will prevent all rezzing in a region.

As long as you remain seated, no new objects can be created.

Effect will stop if you stand up, or hit the stop button on the HUD.

On top of all this; Evi can stop sounds from playing, prevent particles from spawning, and also has an autosit/movelock to keep you safe.

Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Proverbs 31. The proverb today is curiosity killed the cat. Yeah. This is a common one. It comes

up a lot. Let's look a look at the note here. This proverb

basically means that sometimes being too curious can get you in trouble or lead

to an, lead to unpleasant consequences. All right let's look an example number one.

You should never experiment with recreational drugs, even if you are

curious about them. Remember curiosity killed the cat. Yeah . You don't know you become addicted or it could lead to other problems. All right. Let's look at

number two. Where did you get the money to buy this house ? So this is an a/b part.

So A said that. B would might say maybe it's better that you do not ask. They

often say curiosity killed the cat. Maybe you don't know you don't want to know

where he got the money , but maybe it's better you don't know. Let's take a look

at number three. I know she leaves her diary out in a

room and you are tempted to read it but your daughter has a right to her privacy.

Besides if she figures out you read it, she will never trust you again.

Remember curiosity killed the cat. So remember, this is the way we use it. We often use

it , you know after something's been said where you know somebody has been too

curious and it could lead to some problem. Okay anyway. I hope you got it. I hope it

My name is David Michael Harvey.

Parents originally named me Dah-veh, came to regret that later on, so we did anglicize

it to Dave.

Dave is the friendliest name in the world, officially, which is why it'll come as such

a surprise to you later on when you realize that I'm slaying you up here.

Any tall people in the audience?

As you can see, I am short and stout and very envious of how lanky you are.

People wanna be tall.

They say women love tall guys, but I gotta tell ya, the world is not designed for tall

humans.

I can't fit into cars too well.

I can't find clothes.

Life surprises you sometimes.

I booked a role on one of these true crime shows recently.

What's up?

I'm an actor.

It's set in Knoxville and they put me up in a hotel in Knoxville, but I'm missing a hubcap

on my car, so, because I'm pretentious, I think people judge you based on how many hubcaps

you're missing.

If you're missing one hubcap, maybe you just lost it, or maybe you don't love your children.

I don't even wanna know what people think about you when you're missing more than one

hubcap.

So I get to the hotel and I say to the lady, "I'm kind of a big deal.

I'm from Atlanta.

David Harvey.

Maybe you've heard of me."

She goes, "Yeah, right."

And she goes, "Are you playing a criminal or a good guy?"

And I said, "A criminal."

She looks at me dead straight.

She goes, "You're gonna get caught."

And I said, "Well, no I'm not."

And she said, "You know, 9 out of 10 actors who play criminals actually become criminals

later in life."

And I'm like, "Lady, I read Wikipedia- citation needed".

And she goes, and I quote: "I ain't got time.

Look it up yourself."

So I was like, "Whatever."

So things are going good on set, but the problem is, when you're on one of these true crime

shows, you start hearing the narrator in your head, narrating your day, so for me he's going:

"David Harvey left his hotel at 4:07 pm.

He made it to the 13 story tall Cracker Barrel Old Country Store sign, only to realize that

the restaurant was 2 miles from there, so he had to find it his own self.

His GPS was not working, so he had to do things the old fashioned way and read road signs.

He eventually got to the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.

Later that evening David's body was found slumped over in one of the old, overpriced

rocking chairs, with one of those giant checkers shoved in his mouth.

Not too far from his body was the car that the murderer used on the other two victims,

and it was missing all four hubcaps.

David Harvey. Peace out.

Look, I'll be lucky if I get out of this with 5 stars.

EXCITING.

LIKE ON HIS FACEBOOK PAGE PEOPLE SAYING, YES, AND I

THINK HE WAS SUFFERING AS A NUMBER OF THE SIX

IN THAT PACK ARE SUFFERING FROM THE FACT THAT THERE ARE

TOO MANY OF THEM.

AND, YOU KNOW, NOT FROM A STRENGTH FOR DEMOCRACY KIND OF

PERSPECTIVE BUT TRYING TO GET ATTENTION PERSPECTIVE.

SO, ON SOME LEVEL, WOW, HE DID IT AND I LOOK AT THAT AD AND I

THINK IT IS KIND OF A SUPER BOWL AD THAT PEOPLE RUN WHERE

THEY ARE LIKE, WE HOPE THAT THE NETWORK TELLS US WE CAN'T

RUN THIS AD, BECAUSE WE'LL GET MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF

EXPOSURE ON THE INTERNET AND THROUGH THE NEWS.

THE CHALLENGE IS THIS, IF HE MAKES IT TO GENERAL ELECTION,

THAT IS A PRETTY BIG IF, AT THIS TIME, AND IF HE MAKES IT

TO GENERAL, HE IS GOING TO BE FACING THE GENERAL ELECTORATE

AT, AN THE ENTIRE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

ALL OF THE VOTERS IN THAT PARTY ARE NOT GOING TO BE

BEHIND HIM ON EITHER THE SENTIMENT OR THE WAY HE

EXPRESSED IT.

SO IT WAS A GAMBLE.

BUT, YOU KNOW, HE'S IN A POSITION WHERE MAYBE A GAMBLE

IS WHAT HE NEEDS.

>> JEFFREY, HE MENTIONED THAT THE REASON OSTENSIBLY WAS TO

GET A CONVERSATION GOING ABOUT GUN VIOLENCE OR IS SOMETHING

ELSE BEING TALKED ABOUT?

NOT JUST BECAUSE I TEND TO BE A CONSERVATIVE BUT WHEN YOU

BRING INSOLENT AS THE BASIC HALLMARK OF YOUR MESSAGE, YOU

JUST TUNE PEOPLE OUT.

BUT, THE PROBLEM WITH THE MESSAGE ALSO, I THINK, IS IT

IS NOT ONLY INSOLENT AND IMPERTINENT BUT IT IS THE

REVERSE OF WHAT HE SAYS HE IS TRYING TO DO.

IN A SECOND INTERVIEW I HEARD HIM SAY HE WANTS TO CONTINUE

THE CONVERSATION, NOT GOING TO PULL THE AD UNTIL WE HAVE A

CONVERSATION ABOUT THE NRA.

WHY WOULD I WANT TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH SOMEBODY

LIKE THAT WHOSE POSITIONED HIMSELF IN WHAT I CALL

MONOLITHIC, ABSOLUTISM.

HE IS SAYING, I ABSOLUTELY THE NRA, RIGHT?

HOW CAN SOMEONE THAT WE MAY ELECT FOR POLITICAL OFFICE AND

IN THE HOPES OF HAVING A FREE MARKET DISCUSSION, HAVE EVEN

ANY SENSE THAT HE IS WILLING TO HAVE A DISCUSSION WHEN HE

BASICALLY SAID, I AM ABSOLUTELY AGAINST EVERYTHING

THEY STAND FOR.

SO, THERE IS NO REDEEMING ASPECT TO THE NRA.

IT IS A COMPLICATED WORLD.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS NRA REPRESENTING ONE MONOLITHIC

ABSOLUTE.

>> THAT IS PROVEN BY OUR SENATOR MARTIN HEINRICH, LONG

TIME NRA MEMBER.

WHAT DID YOU MAKE OF THE AD?

I WANT TO GET YOUR SENSE OF THIS AS WELL.

>> SEVERAL THINGS.

ONE IS, I THINK A LONG WITH WHAT JEFFREY WAS SAYING, IS

WHEN YOU SAY THAT TO WHATEVER THE WORD HE USED, THE NRA, THE

NRA, IN SPITE OF MANY THINGS THAT WE DON'T AGREE WITH, IS

AN ADVOCATE FOR THE SECOND AMENDMENT.

THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE ON BOTH SIDES WHO ARE ADVOCATES FOR

THE SECOND AMENDMENT.

IT IS A MODIFICATION OF THAT AND HOW IT IS BEING

IMPLEMENTED THAT IS THE ISSUE.

AS A FORMER LEGISLATOR AND A CANDIDATE MANY TIMES, I FOUND

IT SO OFFENSIVE.

I DON'T -- THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO -- IN MY OPINION --

LEGITIMATE REASON FOR DOING AND USING VOCABULARY LIKE

THAT.

YOU'RE ADS ARE ON -- HIS ADS ARE ON IN EARLY

EVENING AND CHILDREN ARE STILL WATCHING TV AND WE TRY TO AT

LEAST GET THEM TO NOT USE THOSE WORDS.

I THINK ALSO AS PREVIOUSLY HAS BEEN MENTIONED, HE GOT EXACTLY

THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT HE WAS TRYING TO DO.

I USED TO TEACH LOBBYING CLASSES, ADVOCACY CLASSES,

BEFORE I BECAME A LEGISLATOR AND ONE OF THE THINGS I USED

AS AN EXAMPLE, DO NOT HIT A LEGISLATOR UP ALONGSIDE HIS

HEAD WITH A 2 BY 4 TODAY AND GO BACK TOMORROW AND EXPECT

THAT THEY WILL SIT DOWN AND TALK WITH YOU OR SUPPORT YOUR

ISSUES.

I DON'T THINK ANYBODY FROM THE NRA ORGANIZATION -- I DON'T

THINK OLLIE NORTH IS GOING TO SIT DOWN WITH PAT AND DISCUSS

CHANGES IN POSITIONS IN THE NRA.

SO, IT IS NOT A DISCUSSION ABOUT CHANGE.

IT IS A DISCUSSION ABOUT GETTING MORE MEDIA COVERAGE

WHICH IS MY THING, WHICH IT HAS DONE.

>> THAT IS RIGHT.

ONE CAN MAKE THE ARGUMENT PAT IS APPEALING TO NATURAL

CONSTITUENCY, PRETTY PROGRESSIVE, HAS ALWAYS BEEN,

HAS THAT CONSTITUENCY BEHIND HIM.

BUT MY QUESTION, WE ARE ALL TALKING ABOUT HERE, DOES IT

PLAY OUTSIDE THAT CONSTITUENCY?

WHAT DOES IT DO FOR HIM WHEN IT IS GO TIME ON ELECTION DAY?

IS IT GOING TO CARRY HIM SOMEWHERE?

>> I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT THAT IT PLAYED TO HIS CONSTITUENCY

IN PARTICULAR.

IT WAS INTENDED TO GENERATE SOME MEDIA ATTENTION.

I THINK IT WAS SUCCESSFUL IN DOING THAT BUT WHETHER HE IS

ACTUALLY ABLE TO PULL PEOPLE FROM THE OTHERS IS DEBATABLE.

IT IS A CROWDED RACE.

THERE IS AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE IN THE RACE THAT -- THERE WERE

FOUR PEOPLE THAT DIDN'T EVEN MAKE THE THRESHOLD FOR THE

PREPRIMARY CONVENTION, ONLY TWO THAT DID, AND PAT HAD TO

GO BACK AND GET ADDITIONAL SIGNATURES.

UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE NOW IN A SITUATION WHERE PEOPLE ARE

SPENDING MONEY, THERE IS INDEPENDENT EXPENDITURE

CAMPAIGNS SPENDING MONEY FOR THE CANDIDATES, SO YOU SORT OF

FORGET WHAT HAPPENED IN MARCH IN TERMS OF BEING ABLE TO HAVE

THERE IS PEOPLE IN THIS RACE THAT HAVE NEVER RUN FOR

CAMPAIGNS HAPPENING HERE IN NEW MEXICO.

SO, I DON'T THINK THIS IS NEW TO NEW MEXICO.
