Legion | Inside Season 2: Fashioning Legion | FX - Duration: 3:12.
NATHANIEL HALPERN: The aesthetic's still is--
in this no time place, the early '60s being a reference point.
JEMAINE CLEMENT: The show plays with time a lot.
MAN: You got it?
JEMAINE CLEMENT: This kind of period-less clothes
where you don't know whether it's the '80s, the '90s,
the '60s, or now, it helps fool the audience just for a second.
CAMERA ASSISTANT: See on the marker.
[SLATE CLAPS]
BILL IRWIN: Unlike me, Bill Irwin, the actor,
Cary Loudermilk-- the character I
play-- is a very natty dresser.
So I don't know anything about clothes except as I
learned them via Bob Blackman.
Oliver.
ROBERT BLACKMAN: I've broadened Cary with a C's
palette a little bit.
And we've changed up Kerry with a K's outfit.
But since she's inside of him, she's had
one outfit for the entire year.
Hey, boys.
NAVID NAGHIBAN: Bob Blackman, when I came in, he says,
oh, I have some stuff for you that you have to see.
When I put my suits on, the shirts
touches in so much detail and--
and just makes you feel the character.
It was like I was Farouk.
Moi.
[NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
AMBER MIDTHUNDER: A great part of this show
is that the physical appearance is a great reflection
of the internal state.
Back to my life!
Right?
AUBREY PLAZA: Lenny is a toy.
[NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
Her look is kind of dictated by the shadow king.
Bathing suits.
It's kind of like she's being used and abused.
DAN STEVENS: I'm kind of leaning towards a British, punky vibe
with David.
So it was a kind of Sid Vicious model.
ROBERT BLACKMAN: It's really full out.
Crop pants, docs, crazy t-shirts.
DAN STEVENS: He's one of the punkier mutants, I think.
JEAN SMART: Melanie just doesn't have polish this year.
She's going for comfort, which I totally identify with.
Because we see her a lot just in her room,
whereas last year, she was still trying to be the woman--
Melanie.
JEAN SMART: --her husband fell in love with.
JEREMIE HARRIS: I feel like I have
the greatest wardrobe on TV.
I'm always in something really snazzy and colorful.
ROBERT BLACKMAN: It's really hard with Jeremie
not to make him look dapper.
He's just slick.
RACHEL KELLER: Black was really important for me
as a protective barrier.
Her skin is such an important part
of what makes her who she is, a young woman
who went through a breakup.
How would she mature her look?
ROBERT BLACKMAN: The black is there,
and we moved her a little bit further into other silhouettes.
A lot more orange, orange and yellow.
Are you sure it was me?
ROBERT BLACKMAN: I refer to my first season,
my year of being Legionized.
You're just supposed to create with all
the most unusual imagery, rather than the usual imagery.
And that's it.
Maybe that was a dream, huh?
ROBERT BLACKMAN: You will be stunned by the visual beauty.

Randomness: Crash Course Statistics #17 - Duration: 12:07.
Hi, I'm Adriene Hill, and Welcome back to Crash Course, Statistics.
There's a lot of talk of "randomness" in statistics.
It's probably something you've heard a lot in this series and in real life too.
Randomness is tied to the idea of uncertainty.
Like why are these fries here?
And are they delicious?
But just because something is random doesn't mean we know nothing about it.
For example, I might not know exactly how many people will shop at my local Costco today,
but I do know it's probably more than 100, and probably less than 1 million.
Even with these very conservative guesses, I still know something about the "randomness"
of this variable.
It's an odd juxtaposition of what we know and what we don't at the same time.
INTRO
Lots of things in your everyday life are random.
From dice rolls in your weekly Dungeons and Dragons game, to which card you draw next
when playing Canasta, to how many people in your subway car are trekkies.
Since individual values of these random variables aren't that predictable, we generally look
at the outcomes across multiple instances.
Often, the best way to get a feel for the behavior of random variables like dice values
is to simulate them.
Simulations allow us to explore options that didn't happen, but could have happened.
And when you get right down to it, that's what statistics is all about.
Let's look at a simulation to understand more about the weight of a Large Fry at McDonalds.
Supposedly, a Large Fry at McDonalds has about 168 grams of crispy, salty, potato-y goodness.
But we know that the process of shoveling piping hot fries into cardboard cartons, isn't
an exact science.
But it most likely is a random process, which means that the weight of your fries, is a
random variable.
You don't know exactly how many grams will be in your next order of fries, but you can
know something about the random process that generates these weights, so you hop in your
car, drive to the nearest McDonalds and order 10,000, large fries.
Back at home you get out your scale and begin to unbag and weigh your fries… the first
batch weighs 173.03 grams.
Not bad, seems like you got an extra fry or two.
The next 4 orders weigh 169.05 152.41 153.80 174.60 grams respectively.
After unbagging and weighing all 10,000 orders you plot a histogram of all the weights.
Looking at this graph, we can see that McDonalds is pretty good at giving you your fair share
of fries.
Most orders have around 168 grams.
But we can also see that the randomness of the carton-filling process means that we can
expect to occasionally see orders with up to 200 grams and as low as 130 grams... but
those don't happen too often.
You may ask how many grams of fries you should expect to get on your next trip to McDonald's...
our best guess is the mean.
It's the amount we expect to get from this random fry distributing process.
You already know how to calculate the mean of a finite group of numbers--the sum of those
numbers divided by the numbers of items, n--so let's expand our definition so that we can
take the mean of a distribution.
Again, the mean is a type of expectation, it's called the expected value of the data
because it's what we "expect" from our data overall.
Like how you "expect" that an American woman would be the average height of 5'4
or 163 centimeters if you didn't know anything else about her.
With discrete distributions, where values can only take on set numbers like how many
sodas people drink at a party... calculating the expectation looks similar to the mean formula.
For simplicity's sake, let's say that people will only take 0,1,2, or 3 sodas at
your party.
And you want to know how much soda you should expect a person will drink so that you can
get enough.
Cause nothing kills a party like running out of soda…
For each possible value, multiply it by the relative frequency for that value and add
all these products together.
So if 10% of people will drink 0 sodas, 20% will drink 1 soda, 40% will drink 2, and 30%
will drink 3 sodas, we get this formula for the expected value.
Which equals 1.9 sodas, meaning you should buy about 2 sodas per guest.
Notice that we didn't have any actual counts for your guests...no one RSVPs anymore.
This is the expected value of the distribution, and we can apply it to any number of guests
we want.
But not everything in life is measured discretely, sometimes...oftentimes… you'll have continuous
variables like height, or grams of fries, which can take on any value at all.
In theory, calculating the expectation for a continuous distribution is exactly the same,
except now we have an infinite number of values which means adding all of the products of
values and frequencies isn't really doable.
Luckily Sir Isaac Newton invented the integral which allows us to take the sum of an infinite
number of these products without actually adding them all up by hand.
You may see it written like this.
But this is simply the fancy math way of saying, "multiply all the values by their frequencies
and add 'em up".
If we wanted to know the expectation of the weight of a large fry in grams, we can use
this integral and the fact that the fry weights are normally distributed to calculate it.
No matter how you're calculating it, the expectation of your data is an important thing to know.
It not only characterizes the data, but it can help you make sure that you know what
to expect, from number of sodas to have at a party, to how much joy you should expect
from a belly full of fries; expectation helps you understand something about randomness.
But not everything...there's still more to know about random processes, like how spread
out or how variable they are.
Variance is also an expectation.
It tells us how spread out we expect the data to be.
The variance of the amount of money each family makes is pretty high, because people don't
all make the same amount of money.
To make things easier, we can represent expectation like this.
Variance is the expectation of all data points minus the mean squared.
Since we're subtracting the mean, we call it mean-centered or "central".
In essence, we're creating a new distribution (each value minus the mean squared) , and
taking the expectation of this new distribution.
Since expectation is always the same--we just sum a bunch of values times their frequencies
-- these two formulas are the same.
Since we're taking each value minus the mean to the second power, we also often call
this the second moment of the data.
Which is just the expectation of the mean-centered data to the second power.
The second moment tells us how reliable the first expectation is...if you have a really
high variance for your estimate of how much soda to buy for your party, you know that
you might want to run to the store for a couple extra cases, since it's possible that you
might get a group of real soda guzzlers.
So the mean is the first moment of a distribution of data, and the variance is the second.
And we can keep going.
There are a lot of moments since all we do is keep raising to higher and higher powers,
but the first four are the most useful for our purposes.
We've already covered the first two, but the third moment--the expectation of the mean
centered data to the third power--is also something you might be familiar with: Skewness.
Skewness tells us whether there are more extreme values on one side, like income or amount
won in Vegas which are both right skewed.
Think back to your algebra class...when you take something to an even power like 2, or
4, your number is always positive.
So even moments--like variance--are always positive.
Variance counts extreme values on the right and the left of the mean the same, since it
squares them.
-2 squared and 2 squared are both 4, so values that are 2 units above or two units below
the mean both contribute equally to the variance.
But odd powers like 3 can be negative or positive, so they count numbers above the mean differently
than those below.
Numbers smaller than the mean that are negative will still be negative when they're taken
to the third power.
So the third moment--skewness-- is a measure of how skewed the distribution is.
If there are a lot more extreme values smaller than the mean, skewness will tend to be negative.
On the other hand, if there are a lot more extreme values bigger than the mean, skewness
will tend to be positive.
We've seen that as humans, we're pretty good at seeing when a distribution is skewed,
but it can be really useful to have a way to quantify it.
Just like the variance tells us how reliable the mean is, skewness can tell us how reliable
the variance is.
If a distribution is really skewed, then the variance is going to be a lot higher on one side.
Imagine the distribution of the amount of chips that people will eat at your party is
skewed, you know that there's a lot more extreme values on one side...maybe some people
forgot to eat dinner before they showed up.
And finally, the Fourth moment - Kurtosis.
Kurtosis is the Expectation of the mean centered data to the fourth power.
And it's a measure of how thick the tails on a distribution are.
This tells you how common it is to have values that are really far from the mean.
When you're playing music at your party, the distribution of how loud people like the
music to be might have high kurtosis; There's a lot of people who want it quiet so they
can talk, and others who ...don't want to talk.
Though it's not as common, kurtosis, along with all the other moments, can help us have
more information about a random distribution.
For example, it can help us tell whether a variable follows a normal distribution.
You can see the mean--the first moment--tells us where a distribution is on a number line.
When you change the mean, you slide the distribution left or right.
The other moments tell us about the shape and spread of the distribution, which stay
the same no matter where we move the distribution.
So it might make sense that when we add two independent random variables together, like
the sum of two dice rolls, the mean of this new distribution is the sum of the means of
the two distributions being added.
And this is true no matter how many means you add.
Maybe your stats teacher has said "The mean of the sum is the sum of the means".
Similarly the variance of the sum of two independent variables is the sum of their variances.
So if we do want to look at the distribution of the values of two dice rolls, we can easily
calculate the mean and standard deviation.
The mean of one die roll is (1+2+3+4+5+6)/6 or 3.5
The mean of two dice rolls would be 7, since it's the mean of the first roll, plus the
mean of the second roll.
The variance of the value of one roll is about 2.9 which means the variance of the value
after rolling two dice is about 5.8.
And as for those fries, we'd expect to get about 336 grams if we ordered two larges.
Randomness is the reason you can't be sure you'll win in Las Vegas, or why you always
have to leave early because you can't predict how long you'll have to wait for a parking
spot, or why sometimes you bring an umbrella with you on days when it doesn't end up raining.
But the beauty of statistics is that it helps us know something about this randomness and
make better, more informed choices in the midst of chaotic randomness.
Like deciding whether a machine learning algorithm trained to recognize sheep is truly better
than humans at recognizing sheep in unusual places.
Or even whether the increase you observed in fecal matter on people's hands is really
higher after using air dryers than paper towels.
Thanks for watching, I'll see you next time.

CAN ISRAEL'S DELILAH MISSILE TAKE OUT RUSSIAN S 300 IN SYRIA? - Duration: 6:30.
Russia will equip Syria's armed forces with S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems.
The Kremlin, which earlier did not supply the system to Damascus, because of Israel's
request, has now reversed its stance.
This change happened after U.S. and U.K.-led attacks on Syria.
The dreaded air defense systems will be provided to Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad free of charge.
This development has resulted in a war of words.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said, "One thing should be clear – if
someone fires on our planes, we will destroy them".
Lieberman was reported by Haaretz as saying.
"What's important to us is that the weapons defense systems that the Russians transfer
to Syria are not used against us.
If they are used against us, we will act against them."
Lieberman acknowledged that the S-300 systems were already being used in Syria, but only
in defense of Russian assets and not against Israel.
Russian officials cautioned against targeting the equipment.
If Israel attacks them, they said, it would suffer "catastrophic consequences."
'Delilah' missile is Israel's answer to S 300.
In this video, Defense Updates analyses if Israel's Delilah missile can take out Russian
S 300 missile defense in Syria?
Let us get started.
The S-300 is Russian long-range surface-to-air missile systems produced by NPO Almaz.
The S-300 system was first deployed by the Soviet Union in 1979, designed for the air
defense of important assets like military bases, administrative buildings, and control
of airspace against enemy strike aircraft.
The S-300 is considered as one of the most potent operational anti-aircraft missile systems.
The Delilah is a cruise missile developed in Israel by Israel Military Industries (IMI).
The name 'Delilah' was originally designated to an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)
program that started in the late 1970s.
Delilah is dubbed as Air Defense System killer.
It is designed to hunt enemy air defense system.
The Delilah was originally fitted to the F-4 Phantom aircraft.
Over time, however, variants of the missile have been adapted to fit the F-16 of Israel's
Air Force.
A typical F-16D Delilah load includes up to two missiles, one under each wing.
Israel used the missile in combat for the first time in July and August 2006.
The S 300 can be configured with many types of radars depending on threat environment.
The maximum detection range against aircraft is estimated to be 250 to 300 km.
S 300 can use multiple types of missile depending on the target.
For example, the 9M82 missile has a range of 100 km and 48N6E2 missile has a range of 195 km.
The exact missiles Russia will load the Syrian system with is not known.
The Delilah has a length of 2.71 m, a body diameter of 0.33 m, and a weight of 185 kg.
The missile has a maximum range of 250-300 km and carries payloads between 30-54 kg.
It can cruise at a speed of only Mach 0.3-0.7 and behaves like a UAV with loitering capability.
Delilah employs auto-tracking technology and a two-way data link that enables the missile
to send and receive flight and targeting information to and from the operator, a key enabler for
loitering munitions.
The missile reportedly has an accuracy of 1 m CEP.
To counter enemy's electronic jamming and to achieve high hit probability it uses a
coupled-charged device (CCD) imaging infrared (IIR) seeker for terminal guidance along with
inertial and GPS navigation systems in mid-course.
The Delilah's radar echo is either too small or too high and the signature doesn't match
the profile of a missile.
It appears as a decoy while being detected by the enemy radar.
S 300 being on TEL (Transporter Erector Launcher) is mobile.
So, the location of the system is not fixed, making it hard to target with standoff missile.
It also has full-fledged inflatable masking layouts to confuse the enemy.
The system can be deployed in trenches to make it very hard for the enemy to target.
Delilah has the range and accuracy to target the S 300 provided that accurate location
data is available beforehand.
Israel has a very complex network of human intelligence apart from solid reconnaissance
capability from the air.
The Delilah is capable of autonomous search, identification, and loitering.
The loitering capability is very important aspect since; the operator of the missile
has the option to perform multiple fly pass to confirm the target and then committing
to attack.
This will help Delilah to positively identify camouflaged or moving target like S 300.
S 300 works best when it is part of an integrated defense network.
Since there will be limited S 300 systems in Syria, they will not be integrated densely.
Secondly, they also will not have the protection of Russian air force in a manner if the systems
were in Russia.
Keeping in view, it can be assumed that Israel will be able to target it with Delilah.
S 300 will potentially be taken out in a conflict but Israel too will most likely suffer a loss
of fighter jets.

✅ Rolins, Zeťová a Hadašová: Slavný milenec prolomil mlčení! - Duration: 2:02.
Spolu vychovávají dceru Denisu a Vanessu

Dara Rolins a Rytmus spolu byli dlouhých sedm let.
A když jdete moc vedle sebe, taky to není dobré
Oba dva interpreti oznámili svůj konec prostřednictvím sociálních sítí a následně si šli každý svým směrem
Snad to oběma nakonec vyjde.

Social Security Scandal Uncovered, $571M Of Taxpayer Money Is Gone - Duration: 13:14.
Social Security Scandal Uncovered, $571M Of Taxpayer Money Is Gone
If there's one thing that drives President Donald Trump nuts, it's giving taxpayer
money to people who don't deserve it.
And he'll be even more distressed to learn that over a half-billion dollars has accidentally
been paid out to individuals who didn't deserve a cent of it.
That's right.
It was all one giant mistake, and you paid for it!
We all know that government spending can spin out of control but generally, government offices
can at least tell you what the money was for.
Even if you don't agree with the amount of cash spent, even if you're a little angry
at shelling out for something you feel was unnecessary, it still makes at least some
sense.
This, however, is just entirely unacceptable.
According to a highly disturbing report just released by the Office of the Inspector General,
the Social Security Administration handed out a whopping $571 million in disability
benefits.
But it was all one giant mistake:
"The Social Security Administration improperly disbursed an estimated $571 million in disability
benefits to people who had already returned to work, according to a government audit report.
Of the overpayments, nearly $201 million of the improperly disbursed benefits checks was
due to the administration's slow processing, and almost $371 million was the fault of the
beneficiaries who didn't complete paperwork on time, the Office of the Inspector General
wrote in a report released Tuesday."
Well, that's just great.
People often joke about the administrative incompetence of government agencies, but this
takes the take.
If you aren't familiar with this particular process, those receiving disability benefits
from the SSA are granted a trial work period before they stop getting payments.
Recipients must then report back to the government when they start working so the SSA can conduct
"continuing disability reviews" to figure out if the individual should keep getting
benefits.
But in many cases, the SSA took an average of 155 days to process legitimate earnings
reports – that's almost half a year! – so taxpayer money kept flowing out the door.
In one outrageous example, someone on disability reported in November 2014 she had returned
to work, and the SSA didn't verify her employment until June 2015, and didn't halt disability
payments until September 2015.
And when they found out, that individual wasn't even required to return the $7,823 she'd
unfairly received.
Then there are instances where the SSA overpaid an estimated number of beneficiaries where
they were told the individual was receiving money from a job, but did nothing to act on
that information.
If this is how our government agencies are operating, President Trump needs to step in
and fix it.
Rapidly.
We
just can't allow
this insanity
to continue!

Torucon 2017: Sword & Sorcery - Bispeliden showcase - Duration: 13:19.
Hello! We are Bispeliden!
And we do historical fencing.
We utilize real steel weapons
And wear real steel on our bodies.
We're not this cruel in practices.
We will be doing a showcase
And we'll be yelling and hitting one another, but we don't hit hard.
Close combat reenactment uses steel weapons and gloves.
You don't neccessarily need to wear as much armour as Alexander - you can be a bit more like Anny
So there's no need to be large and brutish.
Now, Alexander and Espen will fight.
When we start a fight,
we greet our opponent by tapping our swords together.
And then they go crazy.
And now Alexander has surrendered.
Weheeey!
Combat reenactment uses some designated target spots
We've got the lovely Espen here
Our main targets are shoulders, stomach - maybe torso, thighs and not knees.
Because that f**king hurts
Same goes for the elbow - f**king hurts.
Under arm, leg and there - arm!
Hand!
Those places really hurt to get hit.
And, if I'm so clever as to hit-
Espen right on the head
I will be the one who loses.
Because it means I've f**ked up
the safety rules, and earned a giant penalty.
And, if I happen to touch his lovely beard, it will count as a headshot, and I lose.
You don't have to hit hard
You can hit very carefully and...yeah
I'm out, and have lost.
So if Thomas and Helge will fight
AAAHHH
And Helge is being very dramatic.
Bispeliden is a group that focuses on the Middle-Ages
So there are no filthy vikings here.
Not this year.
But we do have some traditions to show.
Because we have things called 'games'.
Which are a selection of games we use in practice.
These are 'Tyr circle' and 'Odin circle'
A Tyr circle, is an honest circle, where you meet a partner
and duel them -aaaahhh
until one of you lose. Then it carries on as a kind of tournament.
Then we have something called Odin circle.
All on all.
And then you need to watch your butt
because we'll hit there too.
[off-screen bellowing]
Yes, so now then
We will do some rounds of Tyr circles and then Odin circles.
Will the fighters take their places
Weapons above your heads!
Calling a Tyr circle!
One on one, until the last man standing.
[Audience cheering]
That was NOT nice.
Now, we'll do an Odin circle
All on all.
And I'll tell you this: Watch out for these lights
because they're f**king expensive.
Fall off the stage instead.
Calling Odin circle!
Weapons above your head!
[cheers for Anny]
As you can see, when we do reenactments
things happen quickly!
It's not slow-paced theater-fencing. We're fighting to win.
But we are nice to one another!
So we'll do two more Tyr circles
And another Odin circle.
Okay two. Two more.
Calling Tyr circle!
Weapons above your head!
I've been hit!
[cheers and booing]
Calling Tyr circle!
Weapons above your heads!
Once more!
You want more?! - YES
Do you want more? [CHEERS]
Calling Odin circle!
All on all!
[Cheers for Anny]
[Booing from the audience]
Let's do it again!
Calling Odin circle!
[unintelligible]
I hope that you find us really cool
- YES
If you would like to try reenactment and close combat,
we have a starter course on September 4th
And if you're interested in that, you can find information at our stand
about the course.
Which you can join, for free.
Something really fun about reenactments
is that you can also fight in teams.
We can do something we call 'lines', which simply means that we line up and kill each other.
And one more!
Not because we lost but....yeah.
We are Bispeliden! Thank you!
And get on line.
On line.
Shields up! Weapons up!
Charge!
Thank you!
