Top 5s.

Top 5 most famous dogs, dogs

truly are man's best friends and they

have proven it throughout history, since

the beginning of time, the dog has been

our companion hunting, defending, and in

life, while some canines became famous

due to their white house owners, others

earned their place in history by showing

great devotion, compassion, or even

heroism, for one reason or another they

all deserve a spot in my list of five

most famous dogs in history. Number 5.

Nipper. nipper 1884 to 1895 was a dog who

served as the model for a painting

titled his master's voice,

this image was the basis for the dog and

gramophone logo, used by several audio

recording and associated brands, nipper

was born in 1894 in bristol england, and

died in september 1895, he was a

mixed-breed dog and probably park jack

russell terrier,

although some sources suggest that he

was a smooth fox terrier or part bull

terrier, he was named nipper because he

would buy the backs of visitors legs.

Nipper originally lived with his owner,

Mark Henry Barraud, in the Prince's theatre,

where Barraud was a scenery designer, when

Barraud died in 1887, his brothers Philip and

Francis took care of the dog,

Ripper himself died of natural causes in

1895 and was buried in

kingston-upon-thames and clarence street,

in a small park surrounded by magnolia

trees, as time progressed the area was

built upon, and a branch of lloyds bank

now occupies the site, on the wall of the

bank, just inside the entrance, a brass

plaque commemorates the terrier that

life beneath the building, on march 10th

2010, a small Road near to the docks

resting place in kingston-upon-thames

was named nipper ally in commemoration

of this resident. Number 4. Hachiko. this

Akita Inu pooch lived near the city

of odete

japan, the story yet again proves how

caring and devoted dogs can be, his owner

Hidesaburo Ueno, a professor at

tokyo university, was returning home each

day by a train, and each day at the same

time,, hachiko would wait for his human

at the train station, to greet him and

accompany him home, he did this for years,

until one day in May 1925 when

Hachiko's owner failed to show up,

unfortunately he suffered a fatal

hemorrhage, but Hachiko kept returning to

Shibuya station for 9 years thereafter,

still waiting for his master to return

at the exact time the train arrives, in

1935 the devoted akita INU was found

dead in the streets of Shibuya.

Number 3. Toto. Among Dorothy and her

friends, one of many heroes of the wizard

of Oz movie was toto. this female

Cairn terrier was an important part of

the 1939 film that greatly impacted the

popular culture since its release.

besides phrases like there's no place

like home, and we're off to see the

Wizard, there is one thing we can attach

to toto,

thanks to her appearance in the movie,

over thirty percent of small breed dogs

have been named after Toto in almost 70

years since the movie was released, the

five-year-old terriers real name was

Terry, and he was chosen for the movie

from over a 100 other dogs.

Terry also appeared in numerous other

films after the wizard of oz. Number 2.

Laika, the all-time most famous dog we

know it was laika, the Soviet space dog.

even though she was the first animal to

orbit earth, her origins were much less

fancy. Laika was a stray dog living on

the streets of Moscow. in 1957 she was

picked up along with two other strays

for the Soviet space program, after her

training, she was selected as the dog

that will board this put me two and fly

into space.

things went smoothly at first, but when

it came to coming back to earth, the

technology we had back then didn't

include a returning mechanism, Soviet

officials said that later was euthanized

prior to the oxygen depletion on the

6th day of orbit, it was only revealed

in 2002 that the first dog in space

actually died only a few hours after

launch, due to overheating, as a tribute

to her accomplishments, in 2008 a monument

to lake has been raised near the

military research facility where she

trained. And number 1. Lassie. you just

can't have a famous dogs list without

the most famous dog in the world, and

that dog would be lassie of course,

despite being a fictional character,

lassie is arguably the most famous dog

ever. from 1943 to 2007, lassie was portrayed

in movies first by a collie named pal,

and by ten generations of his

descendants after him, even the lassies

character is a female, there have been

multiple occasions where she was played

by a male collie, this was because males

have a thicker coat in summer, which

makes them more puffy, and to avoid human

child actors outgrowing lassie while

filming, male collies came in handy

since they are bigger than females,

giving the actors more room to finish

the movie. if you disagree with my top 5,

please leave a comment in the box below

thanks.

By having your own business you can, you can kind of dictate as to what areas you are going

to specialise in.

That's what I love, and if you can combine your passion obviously with work, everybody

knows it's the best possible thing you can do.

Pulling such long hours doing what you do, it's so important that your work becomes

your life.

Wow, well who's a little bit nervous about being the first male speaker ever?

I love to be around other creative people and being successful at one thing means I've

been able to dabble in other things.

Where did the whole entrepreneurial journey start for you?

That's a good question.

When does it ever start for anyone?

I like to think that I was an entrepreneur probably from the age of seven.

Everything and yet nothing has prepared you for what lies ahead.

There are so many distractions in your life, so it's really, really hard to sometimes

focus on that one goal.

It's so hard when you are a woman in business firstly, and secondly when you have no one

except your staff to lean on, you kind of feel isolated.

The midwife came up to Justine and myself, she's like, now are you guys right, do you

need anything?

And I said, actually I have a ripper headache, do you have any Panadol?

You can't move forward if you're not inspired to really understand what the purpose is of

what you're doing.

And that goes for anything in life, is what is your purpose?

Most of all I think I really just wanted to be able to execute my ideas and see those

come to fruition and not be told by other people that my ideas weren't valid.

Cause you were quite young when you started Moxie weren't you?

I was quite young.

You were 21.

Yeah, I was.

Sometimes those dreams and ambitions can seem really daunting, and you're like, yeah I'd

love to do that but where do I start?

How do I do it?

So it just stays as a dream.
