Youtube daily report May 20 2018

The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F-15E Strike Eagle is an American all-weather multirole

strike fighter designed in the 1980s for long-range, high speed interdiction without relying on

escort or electronic-warfare aircraft.

Interesting facts The F-15 made its first flight nearly 43 years

ago, on July 27th, 1972.

It's one of the most successful modern-era fighters, with over 100 aerial combat victories. It's

also had 0 aerial combat losses, giving it a perfect record.

The Eagle can be armed with combinations of four different air-to-air weapons: AIM-7F/M

Sparrow missiles or AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles on its lower fuselage corners, AIM-9L/M Sidewinder

or AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles on two pylons under the wings, and an internal M61 Vulcan 20 millimeter

(0.79 in) Gatling gun in the right wing root.

Design The F-15E prototype was a modification of

the two-seat F-15B.

The F-15E, despite its origins, includes significant structural changes and much more powerful

engines.

The aft fuselage was designed to incorporate the more powerful engines with advanced engine

bay structures and doors.

The advanced structures utilized Superplastic forming and diffusion bonding technologies.

The back seat is equipped for a weapon systems officer to work the new air-to-ground avionics.

The WSO uses multiple screens to display information from the radar, electronic warfare, or Thermographic

cameras, monitor aircraft or weapons status and possible threats, select targets, and

use an electronic moving map to navigate.

Two hand controls are used to select new displays and to refine targeting information.

Displays can be moved from one screen to another, chosen from a menu of display options.

Unlike earlier two-place jets, whose back seat lacked flying controls, the back seat

of the F-15E cockpit is equipped with its own stick and throttle so the WSO can take

over flying, albeit with reduced visibility.

To extend its range, the F-15E is fitted with two conformal fuel tanks, that hug the fuselage.

These produce lower drag than conventional underwing/underbelly drop tanks.

They carry 2,800 liters of fuel, and house six weapons hardpoints in two rows of three

in tandem.

The Strike Eagle's tactical electronic warfare system (TEWS) integrates all countermeasures

on the craft: radar warning receivers radar jammer, radar, and chaff/flare dispensers

are all tied to the TEWS to provide comprehensive defense against detection and tracking.

This system includes an externally mounted ALQ-131 ECM pod, which is carried on the centerline

pylon when required.

I, REMEMBER - Episode 1 (Web Series) - Duration: 21:14.

*Those who can't learn from history,

are doomed to repeat it.*

There's this famous philosopher called

George Santayana who wrote that.

But,

really...

would you even remember his name, this time, tomorrow?

No, right?

The past is overrated.

I mean...

If it was really of any use,

things wouldn't look like

what you're looking at right now.

Some say the past informs the future.

Yeah, right.

If anyone actually learned anything,

I wouldn't be here, lying down on the floor

- Hafiq I wouldn't be here, lying down on the floor,

- Hafiq half-conscious, in the middle of nowhere

Paying attention?

Mr. Chan,

I pay you top dollar for your service.

This fella is falling asleep in a meeting.

Eh hello!

Do I need to repeat myself?

Hafiq...

Okay, Mr. K.

Looking at your previous year's revenue of RM523,591

and considering this year's revenue as well.

We'll be looking at a RM1,001,320...

and 12 sen of profit.

We also know that you wanna

pocket 15% of your profit, is that right?

- This is easy. pocket 15% of your profit, is that right?

We have to do a couple of adjustments

considering the tax this year is slightly higher than last year.

- This guy over here, is my boss. considering the tax this year is slightly higher than last year.

We're going to channel this through a couple of shell companies in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore

- And that guy over there is one of his clients. and Philippines, each 25%.

We're also gonna put your money into some

- And this We're also gonna put your money into some

- is me. E-commerce businesses in Malaysia, a couple of properties

- is me. E-commerce businesses in Malaysia, a couple of properties - Well, this was me before... in Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Johor Bahru, Terengganu and Pahang.

- Well, this was me before... in Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Johor Bahru, Terengganu and Pahang.

-...you know... in Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Johor Bahru, Terengganu and Pahang.

...this

I know I said I hate the past and all,

so I'm gonna explain this real quick, okay?

Alright, here's the deal with me.

One of the stories I have been told since I was young

goes something like this.

<i>Darn these flies, so many darn flies.</i>

<i>Darn flies</i>

<i>Darn, darn flies.</i>

- My mom dropped me one day. <i>Darn, darn flies.</i>

<i>- My mom dropped me one day.</i> <i>Oh my God!</i>

<i>Darling! Our son!!</i>

<i>- Like dropped me...</i> <i>Darling! Our son!!</i>

<i>- ...really hard.</i> <i>Darling! Our son!!</i>

<i>My baby! Oh my God, oh my God, my baby!</i>

<i>Darn these flies.</i>

Zone; an area

that has particular characteristics.

- After that, the grown-ups around me that has particular characteristics.

- might have noticed something a bit different about me. Zonk; fall suddenly and heavily asleep.

Zoo; a place that keeps

- People might call it special...

- ...but really,

- If I asked you,

- Do you find walking special?

- No, right? <i>Zulu; a member of the </i>

- I didn't think so. <i>South African people.</i>

And I almost forgot to mention

-Oh, sorry. And I almost forgot to mention,

Do I need to repeat myself?

- I don't forget.

Eyyyy, look who's back.

It's the birthday boy, Hafiq!

Hafiq

Haf- Hafiq!

Come on man, it's your birthday!

Not for another week,

three days seven hours and-

Why do you keep on doing this earlier and earlier-

Okay, okay. Why do you keep on doing this earlier and earlier-

What about,

today?

Still doesn't make sense.

No, we're celebrating today!

No party like the present!

Nobody ever says that bro.

Okay Hafiq, you need to meet

some of my friends okay there's a-

like someone who makes shoes or clothes and-

There's like a person who owns like a-

lab or a burger,

I think he might do both.

I don't know.

And then we have this bunch of...like...

...hey!

Hey, What's...

What are your names yeah?

Dan Khoo.

Longan Paul.

The Ming Thing.

Dumpling and this is Cody.

What...what do you guys do again?

Sorry?

YouTube.

What do you guys do?

YouTube!

Sorry, Twitter?

YOUTUBE!

It's great guys,

I've no idea or how they got in,

But okay Hafiq,

let's hang out.

Okay it's been a long day for me

I'm gonna call it a night.

And you...

Hey!

Okay, Hafiq!

Okay I see how it is.

Just go to your room and uh...

go to your uh...

...your 'Mind Palace'.

Hey everyone Hafiq's going to his 'Mind Palace'.

Shut up!

Shhh... shhh...

You watch too much TV man.

There's no such thing as a 'Mind Palace'.

Hafiq...

...nobody watches TV anymore.

We watch...

...screens.

Okay...

...you go watch your screens,

and have fun at this party,

but...

...dude,

just...

...make good decisions, yeah?

Goodnight, man.

Put that down please.

Hey DJ Spice Mahal

I didn't pay you to just...

...play music from a phone.

It's not even plugged in man!

Get out.

Can you just get out of the way?

'Mind Palace'.

Okay in a 'Mind Palace',

you picture a familiar place...

...or an object,

you tie a memory to it,

and you put it away in that place.

It helps you to remember and recall things.

For me,

I don't have a 'Mind Palace', okay?

'Mind Palaces' imply that

to remember something,

you need some help.

I

don't need

any help.

But, nothing's...

...really perfect though.

Like- okay,

for example,

I can only remember something I've seen

consciously or unconsciously.

Nothing less,

nothing more.

And...

...done.

Please. No.

Don't touch my chicken!

Desmond stop!

Arrghh...

...it's so bright.

Turn off the sun please.

Hey.

Morning, man.

Hmmm...

I'm up, I'm up.

Okay.

Let's hear it,

what's the damage?

I'm guessing ten to twenty points of your IQ.

Hafiq,

please.

Hafiq please,

Hafiq, I love you.

Hafiq, please.

Okay,

shhh...

...shut up, shut up.

Can you lift that up?

Okay...

Three pairs of your sneakers,

the iron golf club that you just bought,

the one Chinese vase

that I hate so much-

Thank God.

Two bottles of wine.

Which one?

Chardonnay and Merlot.

Oh...

...and your Playstation cable.

Arrggghhh...

What kind of monster does that?

Hafiq,

why does this keep happening to me?

Maybe because you keep organizing these parties.

Yeah, but I don't know the people.

Who are they?

Aren't you the organizer?

I'm not in charge of the guest list,

okay?

I delegate.

That's how you run a good business.

Okay.

I'm going to stop talking to you

so that I can keep my IQ.

Thank you.

Hafiq.

What?

Can you be a friend and like,

help me get some-

some medicine for my head?

It's very painful.

I don't want to see Mrs. Tan.

Hafiq, please!

Please, please.

Hafiq,

-Fine I love you, Hafiq,

Please, please.

Also,

what do you want for your birthday this year?

I'm not going to give you

another week of silence,

okay?

No more!

Something

practical?

Practical like what?

Like socks?

Nope, I got seven pairs of those already.

Okay,

then like what?

Like insurance?

Actually,

can.

Mine ended

when my parents died.

Just kidding, Hafiq.

I was just kidding, okay?

I'm just joking, man.

Hafiq, remember to take my medicine-

get my medicine please...

...I love you, Hafiq.

Please, thank you please.

Please-

I love you-

Please-

I love you.

Hello?

Oh, sorry.

Sorry, sorry.

Oh...

Hi,

can I help you?

Are you?

Nah, nevermind.

Uhh, is...

...Mrs. Tan here?

Oh, Mrs-

Yes,

I'm here.

Aiyo.

Oh,

it's you.

Don't worry.

I'm not dead yet.

Oh,

always looking

so wonderful, Mrs. Tan.

Wait-

Is that a new hair in between your eyebrows?

Very funny.

<i>Very funny, is it?</i>

Elise,

feel free

to help this customer

not to die so fast.

She will be able to help you with

whatever you need.

Okay.

<i>This is what happens when you have kids.</i>

Love you too, Mrs. Tan.

Sorry, she's a little bit-

Nah, don't worry about it.

She's always been like that ever since I was small.

Oh,

I thought you guys aren't close.

We're not.

Oh...

Anyway...

do you have any

vitamins for

someone who's

very very unhealthy?

Okay,

uhh...

...wait-

Okay.

They are at...

Second row from the top,

fifth drawer from the right.

How do you know?

He is crazy that's how.

<i>Why did you climb up so high?</i>

But then again,

if it weren't because of that,

I would have lots of problem in this shop.

Nah,

take this

for that lazy friend of yours.

What's his name again?

Anton?

The name is too glamorous.

Just name himself

<i>'malas' (lazy)</i>

<i>Like that seems more suitable</i>

<i>Hey what are you doing?</i>

<i>You startled me.</i>

Elise, make sure

no discount.

Okay.

<i>Move aside!</i>

<i>The stool.</i>

<i>Put it back nicely </i>

<i>Yes.</i>

So this will be...

RM25.

So...

you know everything in this shop?

Not that I want to but,

yeah.

How do you do it?

Oh, I...

come in here.

I sit down

and look at the medicines for hours and hours.

Really?

Yeah!

But, I haven't seen you here before.

Do-

Oh,

okay.

Funny.

Haha.

Elise, right?

All the best with...

...here.

Okay.

Thank you.

Welcome.

Please come again.

Chan!

Is your boy alright?

Yes, yes.

It's all good,

don't worry.

Hafiq,

can you-

can you, please?

Yes,

sorry.

This...

This...

Your company's profit

has decreased by

5%

and there's a RM303,500.93

of loss which is due to-

Woah woah, wait-

wait a minute.

I am going to stop you right there.

This year has been our best year yet,

and you're telling me that

we lost RM300,000-

Oh, sorry. RM300,000-

in profit.

Oh,

so now it's profit.

Wow, Chan.

You think I'm stupid, is it?

No, no, no, no.

We don't think that.

Hafiq's really our best accountant-

I come here

and trust you guys

and this is what you give me?

You think this is a game?

I thought your boy doesn't make mistakes.

He doesn't,

okay?

Hafiq,

you don't make mistakes, right?

Tell him you don't.

I...

don't need

your help.

This looks like a mistake to me.

Okay, calm down.

Just, just, just-

hang on he's just having a-

-Calm down? bad day.

He's having a bad day.

We all have bad days.

-Bad day? We all have bad days.

A bad day is when I burn this whole place to the ground.

No, we don't-

Hafiq!

What in the world are you doing?

Do you know what happens

when you mess with people like that?

Hafiq!

Hafiq!

You don't mess with me.

You don't mess with my money.

Because if you do,

you're dead.

Alright?

Hafiq!

Are you listening?

That was cutting it too close, man.

What is wrong with you, Hafiq?

I don't know.

You don't know?

What do you mean you don't know?

I can't remember.

[ENG SUB] BTS (방탄소년단) LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear' Jacket Shooting Sketch & MV 'Fake Love' Shooting - Duration: 10:52.

Hello, this is BTS.

We will have the album jacket photo-shoot now.

[YOUR]

Finally, we're having another album jacket photo-shoot.

It's "O" concept of YOUR.

The concept is about breakups.

It's showing the steps of breakups.

This photo-shoot concept is "O".

Please look forward to it.

Jin hyung, your shoulders look great.

Good job. Jin, your shoulders look great.

Good job.

The photographer told me to cry.

But I couldn't.

Being the first one is the most difficult because you have to go through all the tests.

It's oil.

I think it turned out good.

Do you want to see J-Hope's corrupted beauty?

To be honest, I have black hair for the first time since my debut.

I was saving for this.

What was the photo-shoot concept today? It was the concept, "O".

We all have black hair.

I know. We all have black hair.

This is what ARMY wanted.

Yes, they asked us for this.

You look good.

- Tomorrow... - Should we move on?

- How? - 1, 2, 3. - Bye.

[YOUR]

Hello, it's the second day of the photo-shoot.

Today, the photo-shoot concept is "U".

To be accurate, we will have two concepts, "U" and "R".

You can become a fashionista walking around Garosu-gil like this.

It's the opposite of yesterday's concept.

- On the count of three, I will take it. Keep your eyes open. - OK.

[Snap] 1, 2!

Jungkook, hurry up and look at me.

- Here is the snack. - Stop it, you will make him cry.

- Great job. - Rejoice!

So hot.

[YOUR]

We are all wearing denim.

I didn't expect "Tear" to be a part of the album.

It's not cool because I am so good at blinking game.

It's hard to cry silently.

I can weep aloud.

It's not easy.

I think the pictures will turn out well.

Crying doesn't go well with my vibe.

Time for acting now.

I am so sad now. I am so emotional...

Jin's facial expression is so...

So sad.

[Sob sob]

Other members, fighting.

I am sure ARMY will love us no matter how we look.

We worked really hard for this photo-shoot. Hope you like it.

- "U", "R", and "O". - Yes.

- Only "Y" is remaining. - Yes.

We cried and laughed...

What if our faces will look swollen tomorrow?

I'm really worried.

- Fighting! - Fighting for tomorrow!

[YOUR]

I'm sure it will look nice.

First of all, I look nice.

It's spring everyone.

I just finished shooting and I'm going to eat now. Bye!

- Hello everyone? - It's the last day of shooting for our album.

- We're in Jeonbuk, Buan. - We're work hard today too. Fighting!

It's the moment where we find out that the love we had thought was brought together by

DNA and fate was actually a "fake love".

So we're in a gloomy place and express our agony.

And we show some tears like the title of the album.

We're shooting "Y" today. We're shooting the 1st version last.

And I think everyone, including me will look nice.

ARMY fans, thank you for waiting.

Thank you.

If we didn't say anything, you wouldn't think that this is Buan, but an African savanna.

"Savanna, Savana~"

I put in my everything into this album.

- I think the photos will look amazing. - I think they'll be great.

- Please look forward it. - BTS is forever.

BTS!

This is the only scene shot outdoors. It's where "Save Me" was shot.

Today's shooting is really neat.

I think it will be nice to watch since we shoot in the same location with different positions.

- We're done with shooting photos for the album. - Where are we? - We're in Buan.

- Vroom, Vroom. - We're in Buan. - We came to Buan by car.

- It feels different being outdoors. - Do you think the photos will turn out great?

I love them all. I like everything about "YOUR".

I wonder how the photos will turn out.

I think everyone will like "YOUR".

- We put everything into it. - Yes.

Please show us your love and attention.

- Hello! - Y! - Hello Y! Let's meet soon everyone.

Finish Your Side Project - Side Projects #1 - Duration: 47:11.

Cory Miller you are a vlogger is it safe to say you consider yourself a

vlogger I okay well if we're gonna go straight in the terms so we're straight

into it I don't I feel like I'm someone who vlogs I don't know that I'm a

vlogger is that as the vlogger some of you vlogs well I mean I I don't think of

myself as a writer and I write over a million years and I guess that kind of

makes me a writer but write over a million years did I say a million years

that's how long it feels like it takes a million words a year is what I meant to

say I don't consider myself a writer so you've done what a hunt how many

hundreds are oh yeah 106 officially 167 video has the time of this recording

videos but there are more than that because there were some like I did in

two parts or I've done other like one-off videos and so I think I have

around somewhere like 180 I think total uploads well you can search YouTube for

Cory Miller or AK or able point to the top corner we'll put a little card up

there you can check out his channel there it is he's pointing to it click it

go ahead check out his channel youtube.com/corydhmiller there

you go okay so what is this about what are we talking about we're kind of doing

like a little hey I guess you could consider it like a coaching arrangement

we want to talk about I guess we should let people know you've got a vlog you've

got videos you know we can put up some examples of that for people to look at

you know they can see some of the stuff that you're doing you know you're

showing your family you're showing some of your work you just moved to Ireland

you know there's there's a lot of cool stories going on there you're sharing

your journey but along the way you've also learned a lot about vlogging itself

and you know people are asking questions and you're wanting to document what

you've learned along the way you know things that have held you back things

that kind of maybe distracted you or kept you from putting yourself out there

because you went through all of this stuff as well and there's people who

want to start vlogging and they're scared or they don't know

what to say or their life's not interesting and so in addition to doing

your regular vlog you also came up with this side project called vlog ology so

this is it vlog ology comm you've got a little website here I'm signed up you've

got you you you've got right now an email list which I thought was vlog

ology I thought vlog ology were just the awesome emails that I got with just

awesome encouraging messages you know honestly Cory to be totally Frank I

took a lot of inspiration from your writings and vlog ology to help me

overcome my fear of making videos and my procrastination and things that were

holding me back yeah that's really cold I think that's

really encouraging to hear actually yeah I mean we're we're treating this off

like people maybe who have been following the channel for a while

they've noticed it's kind of quiet maybe you remain subscribed thank you I

appreciate that let me know in the comments you know if you've been

sticking around if you're excited for us to be bringing back seanwes tv much

more full time we're going for 7 days a week now so again thank you have taking

a lot of inspiration from you but back on vlog ology just to set the stage for

what we're gonna be talking about you know you've got right now this email

newsletter that I that I'm on and I've received a lot of emails but you have

much much more planned for vlog ology almost like a you know I know you kind

of resist this word a little bit but just to kind of help people understand

the way I think that it's like a course but it's free and it's on the site and

you don't have to sign up for you and you don't have to buy it it's just boom

here's resources here's pages you could consider them pages or lessons but it's

like can you give people a sense of like what's covered in that and what you're

building here for people yeah actually can I share my screen of course is that

will that work cuz if I share my screen I'll show you actually what I have kind

of on see I'm gonna have this I gotta you you go ahead and do that while

you're getting set up I'll kind of people a little bit of an idea of what

we're doing today the reason we're doing this is Cory has this side project

called vlog ology helping people learn how to vlog how to get overcome the

hurdles you know the things that are keeping you from putting you feel weird

holding up a camera you know all that stuff he helps you with that but this

side project is something that you know to be honest I'm Cory Cory's gonna

share the stuff you know he and I have talked a lot

he's procrastinated on for good reason sometimes maybe not so good reasons

other times you know perfectionism all that stuff and so I thought hey you know

we've had our our conversations just quick little chats phone calls things

like that I try you know me trying to hear out Cory what are you trying to

accomplish help him get unstuck come up with a plan for launching you know

because I think if if we can share Cory this is something you wanted to have

launched sooner it's not quite ready yet yeah you want it to be good but you

don't want it to be so perfect it never ships and so we thought hey yeah let's

do a little like regular check-in kind of just a short little coaching call if

you will just to help you out with your side project but also we can put it on

seanwes tv and maybe help some other people with their side projects yeah

yeah and wealth and first off thank you so yeah so vlog ology is was this idea

that I had because you know something that happens just kind of naturally I

think from when you put yourself out there and when you're you're making

content or you're making stuff even if it's even if it's not necessarily like

teaching you know you do that regularly and people start to wonder oftentimes

anyways how you do that and I was getting emails and I was getting you

know messages on my youtube channel and and and on Twitter and things like that

and people saying like hey what camera are you using what are you using to edit

like you know everything from you know just all that stuff I mean there's so

much more and I was like I could either you know just reply once to this one

person or I could make some thing that's kind of like this one

one-stop resource you know and so if if I can I'll share with you what I have

right now this is kind of like my staging site so I may have to have you

blur out the the URL but I'm gonna share this real fast so this is what I have

this is kind of like on the back end this is like my vision for what vlog

ology is going to be so this obviously is the homepage and it'll it'll have

some different stuff there's gonna be like a welcome video and all of that but

here on the left and the sidebar you've got these different parts of vlogging so

everything from you know getting started like first off the number one question

that I get when I talk to people about vlogging as they say why should I have a

vlog right so usually people when they're thinking about vlogging they're

already kind of there but they kind of need another little push and so like I

have this page that says why vlog and you know this is like kind of designed

and and it's it's kind of fun and there's gonna be some images and videos

and things would you be able to maybe zoom in a little bit and blow up the

page a little bit so we can read a little bit easier

sure perfect so I've zoomed in a little bit yeah hey look at that hey I love it

when things work like they're supposed to your girls even look at this so so

you've got everything from the start like the benefits of vlogging

misconceptions making a commitment talk it you know what's the end goal and then

you know if nothing else read this this is the too long didn't read version and

it is really short and and then we get into things like the story like what's

your greatest advantage I'm not interesting I've got this little

technique called the rubber duck technique no spoilers no spoilers but

there it is and then we get into gear everything from you know and some of

these like I'm gonna kind of grow on and expand on some of this is just

placeholder for right now but you know editing sharing getting a rhythm down

choosing a platform how much time is it gonna take how to get overnight results

that's a row that's gonna be real fun woo

and then they an index so you can go and browse topics and I'll have recommended

vlogs to go for you to get some inspiration and things like that so

that's kind of here stop sharing my screen that's cool is

that the the overview of what you want it to be it's not life yet but hey if

you're watching this in the future this particular episode of you know our side

projects show series whatever vlog all og comm go check it out it's a free

resource it's if you have a hard time remembering and just think like biology

which is like the study of life or study of study of buying right study of bio

writes the ology sets vlog ology since the study of loggin but but it's only

gonna be there if Cory finishes it yet well technically a lot of its supposed

to be done by tomorrow all right so let's let's talk about that how are

things going what's the status what are you working on yeah so so what I'm

trying to do right now is I have like the first two sections written so so

what I'm doing at this point is is writing primarily like it's all written

content like there's gonna be videos and and things like that's like kind of

splashed in there but I was originally planning on having this done in December

and I even had on the side it said you know shipping or launching December 2018

and then it was January and I said launching early 2018 and now it's April

and and the hard part about it has been I mean there's been a lot of things part

of its just been not discipline which is just my fault but there's been a couple

of things is I haven't had clear set deadlines that I'm accountable to and

secondly it's because it's a side project

there hasn't been like this overwhelming you know I have to get this done right

like if I was trying to build a business and I'm like okay roadmaps writer I mean

you know the what's it called when you've got a runway runway is running

out right like I've got you know a hundred thousand in the bank

and I'm I need to get more you know like I needed I don't have work or I would

you know if there was something more like that there would be more urgency

but because it's a side project it's like well if it doesn't get done

no one cares right and and and my problem has always been with like III

I'm interesting because my personality is I love the feeling of finishing but

the getting to the part where it's finished can be a struggle for me and

the main thing that held me back at least for the first few months of this

year was I was planning on having a video and edited recorded all that video

on every single page basically summarizing what was on the page because

I was like it's a vlogging site and they're supposed to be video so and

because I didn't have I did what did make the time and I thought it was gonna

die I didn't you know I was like I don't know how long this is gonna take so I

didn't actually do anything and so that held me back but um

something something I've you know something that's um that I'm trying to

learn and get on top of is the idea of MVP and I'm and I'm having a hard time

finding the balance between like MVP Minimum Viable Product and MVP plus you

know and I don't know kind of kind of how it right and so so I guess I'm you

know what my first question is how can I be sure that my MVP is actually quality

that people are going to appreciate and learn from and share all right so uh

let's let's revisit an episode from way back in the day started Sean with TV in

2014 did a lot of episodes were coming back with some episodes but I did one on

side projects specifically 5 tips for completing side projects so let's see if

any of these resonate with you tell me what you think Cory so we've got first

of all focus on one at a time that's that's a tough one focus on one side

pride wanna decipher project at a time ok yeah that doesn't mean you can't have

a bunch you know over time but at a time focus on one so making sure the log

ology is your main side project that is in your focus the second thing would be

to set aside time we can't just say like oh you know I'll do it whenever it's

convenient because it's never going to be convenient so set aside time

repeatedly allocating time to it just have a block of time then we got the

limited limit the features right that's that's the tough part because there are

a lot of things you could do but you need to add constraints like what what

is the initial version of this project going to be and what can it do because

we're trying to complete it that's just just because it's completed doesn't mean

it can't be improved after that it just means it's out there people can

experience it people can appreciate it so the constraints enable you to finish

it and it seems like oh no I don't I don't

want constraints that's not good it's gonna limit me but it breeds creativity

right if you say I have to do it in this time and can only have these features

well how can I make it great because those constraints tell you the bounds

within which you can operate so without that it's really easy to get overwhelmed

so for anyone watching if you have a side project where you're feeling

overwhelmed it's probably because you need some more constraints which is a

little counterintuitive but when you have less options you know it's a little

easier set a deadline so this is something you experienced did you make a

public commitment in this case did you tell people publicly or it was kind of

implicit on the site down like near this the newsletter signup area it said

launching December 2018 but because I wasn't really promoting it and I wasn't

really driving traffic to it it was more like a word-of-mouth a few people knew

it was just kind of there but there wasn't like this on December 16th 2018

hey Twitter hold me accountable hey community you hold me accountable it it

wasn't I didn't have any of that and so I was kind of like I could probably do

this by then you know and then there was I think I bought the domain in I think

October I think September or October so I had I thought that I could do all this

stuff in two months and I guess I I didn't realize how big it was how how

much I was gonna like have to put out there well it sounds like you're you're

getting accountability now which is good you know having that

accountability and accountability partner which I know you're starting to

get this doing this call is a form of accountability and then the last thing

I've got here is just ship at ninety percent and what I mean is ninety

percent perfect because perfection is not attainable it's not going to be

perfect so you know you want to let go of that idea of perfection so what of

those resonates with you what of those do you feel like you want to kind of

dive in a little deeper on I think I know my 90 percent well okay let me so

here's here's this is fun I think I want to be a perfectionist but I'm not really

and and so I'm trying to like you know like I had mentioned earlier like it's

finding that balance between legitimately shippable and and something

more than that like MVP versus MVP plus you know like where where is it between

the ninety and the ninety five percent um I think sometimes I'm having a oh

that's kind of the part that I'm struggling with the most the focus is

fine I don't have any other side projects right now like we're I mean I

don't know if children are a side project but um you know so I mean I

don't have any other side projects right now setting aside time certainly has not

been is not something that I've meaningfully done and that's less of a

like how do I do that because I know how to do that

yeah because I do that for other things so I don't think that's necessarily

relevant here limiting the features actually I wrote down a question and

maybe you can help with this is am I the best person to create my own constraints

because I don't I don't I don't know cuz maybe I don't know

am I the best person to create my own constraints do you feel overwhelmed no

and maybe that's the problem no well I don't think it's ever a

problem not to feel overwhelmed I don't think anyone wants to feel

you overwhelmed what's the struggle right now with where you're at right

this second is I told my accountability partner that I would have a bunch of

stuff published by tomorrow and let's talk about that what is that what was

that that is so what I'm gonna end up doing was I I wanted to wait until

everything was done you know get all of them written out get all of the

screencasts done make the videos and then ship everything all at once and I

don't think that that's actually I think that the ship all at once part is

actually what's hindering me because it's like well if I never get to that

point then I'll never ship right like I'll never launch it and so so what we

decided on through conversation with you and also with with my accountability

partner was what do I already have written which is basically the first - I

don't want to call the modules but you can call modules like the sections so

start and story I have those written they're not in pages yet so I haven't

you know I think half of them are so like there you can go and you know look

at them and stuff so it's I've got to take all of that copy convert it to HTML

make sure it looks good on the page and all of that stuff so I'm you know I'm

gonna launch I'm gonna publish the first two sections and then each week

following so starting next week I'll push another like the next the next page

in this series lesson or whatever I'll push that live and then on the other

pages I'm gonna have hey you know new lesson released every single week and

then I'll have the sign up form to say hey get this sent right to your inbox as

soon as it goes live and then another incentive there and so that's kind of

what needs to be done by tomorrow which includes finalizing the video which I

finished right before we got on our call and that video is not a video for every

lesson but just for the main page something at the top right it says hey

this is what vlog ology is kind of we've talked about it a little bit here

letting people know these are the lessons I'm gonna be adding one every

week so I'm sending those out if you want note

patience but just giving people an overview right right right exactly so

it's just kind of like a welcome it's like a minute and 30 seconds or so just

to kind of to kind of give that video feel and then also kind of show what I'm

capable of and what I know and be a little bit more friendly because people

like faces so there that video is done that video is done I just need to export

it and then I need to go in and I need well one of the pages needs to be

finished writ writing I need to sit and I just need to write it cuz there was I

guess I didn't finish it I have this thing right like I talk a lot and then

sometimes I just don't finish and then it's not done so so there's one of those

that needs to be done the rest of them just need to be converted to HTML and

then put into the page and then I need to like bring it from my staging site

over to my actual site and make sure that that works and that nothing's

broken and everything like that and I think and I'm gonna do some like

rearrangement of you know where the newsletter signup is and some of the

copy there so we have a plan yeah yeah I have a plan I have a plan but the more I

keep talking about all of these things it's just as more and more and I've

backed myself into a wall which actually is sometimes really good for me um not

good but like that's where I that where there's action yeah and what's nice

about the deadline for me is it's kind of like a faux deadline like the

deadline doesn't matter but I've made it matter and so it matters

um so it just feels like a lot what are you worried about right now what am I

worried about um I'm worried that people will go to the site in its unfinished

state and not come back and or not get the help that they need

that they needed right like for example if someone came to my site and they're

like oh hey you know I'm looking over here in the menu gear that's what I'm

really interested on the best camera they click on that and it's not there

and that that doesn't feel to me like a very good experience I can kind of

fiddle with that and that's and and I think that's okay but if Ike

it worked yeah when I imagine this if I were interested in gear and I go there

and it's it's made clear on the site that this is coming and the video tells

me and it says you know sign up for notifications this lesson is coming soon

something like that if it's clear what what you're considering to be a

frustrating experience I would consider more to be the building of excitement I

actually get excited that ooh that I want this and it's coming you know it's

it's almost like a tease right like it's it's I I actually think it's a positive

the fact that it's not all there and there's a promise of it being there I I

actually think it it results in the opposite of what you fear and that

people would come back because you're teasing something that they want that is

coming mmm that's a really good point I wrote that I'm taking notes so I mean

I feel you know okay about that don't don't worry about that like I don't

think especially by setting good expectations you got a video overview

all that you're giving them some it's like coming soon you know however you

say it I don't think that's a bad experience I think that's involving

people in the journey instead you know like say as much right hey let me just

be honest like I have so much here I wanted to hold it all back I wanted to

just give it to you and have everything here but I realized I was just

overthinking it and I was getting stuck and overwhelmed and I thought hey I'm

just gonna put out what I have and make a commitment to you to continue putting

out an issue at a time a lesson at a time and send it out to you and get your

feedback so I can I can iterate on it you know so like rather than just here

it is here's everything this now is able to be more of an open dialogue so I

dropped next week's lesson you reply to the email and I'm gonna reply back I'm

gonna talk to you you know I'm gonna I'm gonna help you if this lesson wasn't

clear you know I'm gonna improve it and so I just thought it would be better to

involve you in the journey and release it instead of you know waiting till next

year six months from now I'm gonna give you each piece

as soon as it's available that makes me excited huh

yeah that helps that helps actually um

yeah it was really nice um I found myself I texted my accountability

partner earlier and this was after I mean I had you know it was kind of a

wasn't like a long day but there was just a lot of stuff today and I knew

that I needed to get things done today and I texted and I was like I literally

want to procrastinate right now and I think that admission was enough to kick

me in the butt and go okay really Cory like really you know but just it was

interesting that I had this moment of yeah I know I need to get it done but

but I could go breed or just rest or get off my feet or play a video game or

whatever and I don't know I I know it needs to get done and I want to get it

done but it just it's it's um does it feel like too much to do by tomorrow it

feels like too much to get done by tomorrow in the amount of time that it

is going to take or at the amount of my time that it would take for me to get to

bed at the time that I want to get to bed by 8:00 right but the only the only

person expecting that is your accountability partner with whom you've

made a commitment to this arbitrary deadline you set for yourself you're not

publicly for everyone else yeah so and in this case I would give yourself some

grace I would recognize the purpose of the deadline which is to get you moving

which is to keep you from procrastinating and you know there's a

Parkinson's law which says I'm gonna summarize here but things will take as

long as the amount of time you give them if you say I'm going to write a book in

a year it will take you a year and you'll perk

fascinating along the way and maybe not even finish it in a year if you say I'll

write a book in a month you'll write a book in a month or if you do like I did

and I said I'll write three books in a month and I ended up combining them and

I write one book in 14 days it's just how much time do you give yourself and

so it's good that you're compressing it and you're saying I'm gonna get this

done by Friday and now here we are we're recording this on a Thursday I don't

know what David of the week will publish this but it's the day before and you're

realizing oh man if I worked all night like maybe but it's it's kind of crazy

at this point what the deadlines you set for yourself did and that you made

yourself accountable to a partner did is it made you take it seriously and it

made you do the work as much as you could and not procrastinate and not play

a video game and not just just rest but like I'm gonna get this done now that

you're this close the good news is you didn't say I'll give myself two more

months because it would take that long so you've got 90 percent of the work

done right before the deadline if you give yourself this is up to you right

like you get to decide but you give yourself through the weekend or until

Monday and you treat it seriously then you actually got it done like the

deadline did its job it's an internal deadline right there's a little bit of a

difference between an internal and a public-facing deadline it did its job of

getting you to take it seriously get the bulk of the work done now it's like okay

it's not realistic for me to kill myself working all night on this like I need

right I need to take it seriously but I've reached this point and I realize

it's not really practically possible so I'm gonna give myself some grace I still

take it seriously I'm gonna extend this through the weekend and get it done and

update your accountability partners I

I'm worried that I feel like I know the answer to this but I'm gonna ask it

anyways oftentimes when it comes to other deadlines or getting things done I

have found at times when I give my when I when it's necessary to give myself

some grace in that so I don't beat myself up and and kill myself

because I'm you know working so hard and you know up till 5 in the morning

there have been times where I've given myself that grace and it makes me

procrastinate because I'm like well I could work really hard but I should just

give myself some grace and just not so do you have any ideas or advice on how

to prevent giving myself a break from making me just not doing the work yes so

have you done this before this exact type of project in the past

what you're doing I guess no is the right answer so so what I would say to

that is when I when I advise someone on how long to allocate for a project that

is a new thing they have never done it's triple the amount of time you think

it will take and what most people hear is expect it to take longer that's not

what I'm saying I said bring me all the bacon and eggs you have like I am saying

triple the amount of time and and almost nobody does this and so they run into

this time crunch thing they're like I'm gonna get it done by Friday I'm gonna

write my book in seven days like more power to you but unless you've written

over 10,000 words in a day which I've done you can't say I'm gonna write a

book in seven days maybe I could do it if I didn't sleep and did literally

nothing but write over 10,000 words a day and all of it was perfect and I

ended up with a 70,000 word book in seven days but unless you've done that

before it's not realistic you can't and so that's why I say tripled the amount

of time but most people don't they haven't heard that advice they go into a

side project they set a deadline and then it's like a frustration and like

they beat themselves up and so the place you're in right now is like if I extend

it maybe I'm gonna procrastinate I try to give myself grace but I might not get

it done here's here's the the what happens in the white space here you

haven't done this type of project before so this is a pilot journey you are

figuring out what it takes and how long it takes to launch something like this

that's where you're allowed to give yourself grace and by setting an

arbitrary deadline I think that was a good idea because it made you get things

done and the reality is you made it you finished 90% of it a day before it's

gonna take a few more days to finish that last bit of work like that's just

the reality of it you learn that I think that's where you're allowed to give

yourself grace that's where you're allowed to adjust that deadline but

right now we're we're so close we can see the finish line we know how much

work is left and we know you can get it done in a couple days maybe a few days

at the most so if you procrastinate beyond that then I would see that as a

problem but in the meantime until you've done this before since you didn't triple

the time I think it is appropriate to extend that deadline okay

follow-up question what if I set the deadline with my accountability partner

and said hold me to this this is the thing this is what I'm going to do I'm

going to do this don't let me not then I would still say the same thing I just

said because I think what's what's good and what's right and what we want to

hold on to is that ambition that drive that commitment right that's really good

but I think it was it for lack of a better word it was misguided and that's

just you know the best word I can come up with it's like it's as misguided as

writing your first book and saying I'll do it in seven days I told my

accountability partner hold me to it don't let me not do it like you're

coming from the right place but but it's okay you've got most of the work done

you're really close it's an internal deadline you're going to finish it let's

adjust that to be reasonable so you don't you know sacrifice your personal

health and hey by Monday you're gonna have something up I want to have

something up by the time this video goes out anyway well they can check it out

hmm okay

yeah I think I think what I was doing with at least with the deadline and with

having an accountability partner was I was kind of using that as the as the

fuel as the payoff I guess we're like if the side project was I'm doing the side

project because I need to make money or I want to make money or I want it to be

you know financially viable and all of this stuff that in and of itself is a

drive like I make no money until the thing is launched but because this is

something where I'm still working on what / if I want to you know if I even

want to monetize it and to what that would look like and I think I do but you

know I'm just trying I'm just that's kind of not the main focus at this point

and I think I think that oh good by the way like yeah don't even worry about

that just focus on audience and like you're good right right yeah and so but

I think the drive - I think the inherent aspect of making money provides a kind

of drive where if you're just kind of making something it's just like it can

be kind of whatever and so having that deadline and having that accountability

partner and feeling like I don't want to be that guy again that that doesn't

follow through that was kind of I mean that was certainly a motivation for me

to actually do the stuff like because I wouldn't have done the video today if it

didn't need to be done you know what I mean and I do um

like I went and dug through a bunch of old videos to kind of put together some

b-roll and stuff and I was like what am i doing and I was like ah we're getting

it done so that's super helpful though um how are you feeling about it right

now I'm feeling good I honestly I think a big part of it is I think I might be

overthinking it probably like I actually might even be overthinking the amount of

time it's going to take because even as we were talking I realized that I don't

you know I have enough I have the ability to like if a page is empty to

display a certain kind of content in WordPress I can code a thing where it's

like if there's nothing on this page show this right so I I won't have to go

I can just code that one time and take a little bit of time but it would

literally it would take less time to code that then it would be to go to

every single page sure put it together do all that so I would say even thinking

of that stuff is that piece that piece I wouldn't even consider that within what's

mandatory to ship I think it's very good I think it's something you can you can

add but I would recommend this give yourself until end of day Sunday and I

recommend putting a time on it like 5 p.m. a p.m. so you don't go well into

the night you know end of day Sunday and you make it like a secondary goal for

yourself to really get most of it done by Saturday and then you spend Sunday

doing the extra like bonus kind of polished user experience stuff ok do you

think it would be better like so as an example right now if you know there's

start story gear recording edit sharing time and index those are kind of the

sidebar navigation type things do you think that my my vision was so if I

publish it you can see all of it and access any of the pages but it just

those ones won't have content on the ones with content will have it do you

think it's better to do that so people kind of know what to expect or should it

just only show what's available no no hundred percent show all of it

show all of it and show it as as coming soon ok ok that's good

looking through my questions that I wrote down so I have this I have another

question I mean I wrote that a bunch of questions but this is just kind of the

next one so for the most part I want this site to exist and to be a resource

like I'm not I'm not planning on adding a blog or anything that's like ongoing

content marketing type of a thing for this site but I am planning on

continuing the newsletter on an ongoing basis so that's something that I'm gonna

be adding to and it's gonna be a supplement it's gonna be

great I do a weekly vlog that's something that's just part of my life

that's something I'm gonna be making and I'm gonna continue to make and and

that's what I'm gonna be kind of that's what I'm gonna use to push people

towards vlog ology primarily it's like that's gonna be the primary the main

source of traffic and I just want to make sure like I feel like I'm missing

something I'd like it not to be like this major

thing in life because it's a side project where I'm kind of going I have

to always go but I want to make sure the right people get it you know what I mean

so like am I missing anything there should I just allow it to be something

that I push for in my in the vlog itself and even in my automated newsletter I

asked for you know after a period of time I actually asked people like hey if

this has been helpful for you forward this email or forward the site to

somebody who you think that this could benefit from and I've had a lot of

really great engagement for the people who have actually signed up on the list

because it's so niched yeah that it's not just random people it's people who

are really interested in that thing so I feel like I'm comfortable with that but

I'm just there's I feels like kind of there's something on the tip of my

tongue that I might be missing so then maybe I'm not there's more potential for

this than simply pushing your vlog audience to it well the the truth to

that question is there is I just don't know that I want to be rude

I don't know that I want it to be this thing that I have to always upkeep I

guess in a sense like the site itself you know or like the marketing for the

site like no honestly yeah I think of this as a book like my book over that

book I mean it is also available with you know online access with our

membership right or people can just buy the book but there it is you know

there's all the sections all the chapters you can read it and it's

designed to help someone who's stuck someone who wants to start a job I'm

sorry start a business while working a full-time job so it's again very very

niche down so it's oh hey I know someone who feels stuck in

a soul-sucking day job and they really want to start their thing but they don't

know what that transition looks like they recommend the book and we ship them

out every day we just have stacks of blue boxes all over you know because

it's just it's a resource and it's it's there and when you finish this

it will be done it will be a thing and you don't have to upkeep it and I

totally agree with you there is a tremendous amount of possibility for

this beyond just your audience but I think especially now I mean you you

could really you could look into other options later for how to spread to other

people how to market it or whatever but it's gonna spread via word of mouth like

promote promote it to people in your audience and they're gonna share it with

others they're gonna they're gonna spread it around they're gonna give it

to someone else it's not something you have to go back and update and add to

and all of that focus on your vlog and put it put a link in the description of

each vlog and every time you put up a new episode it's gonna promote this

resource yeah it's a really good point yeah I think and I think I'm comfortable

with that like if it and if it's there it's like hey by the way if you are

interested I got this question or whatever like go check out the log ology

it's right there boom it's right in the description or you know here's the

website or something like that can I just say it is so great after years of

effort to just say overlap book com it's just like I solved that yeah oh you want

you want to wake up early you want to increase your focus you have too many

passions your family isn't on board you're not sure where to start with

making money or a diversified income stream it's like it's done I made the

thing over that book and you just get to say that and you just focus and then

anything and everything else you do this content right here promoted overlap and

I don't even have to think about it it's just if it fits in very naturally here

and and vlog ology will fit into anything you're doing like man I just

didn't I don't even want to take out my camera today you know and I skipped a

few days this week in the vlog and you know I just got me thinking like I need

to take my own advice what I talked about in vlog ology of the you know

whatever and there's like bueno there you go no I actually had a video like

that recently and some of the comments were hey I learned from vlog ology that

you'd this is a vlog anyways and you should put it out anyway so a good job

for shipping is going yeah it's taking their own medicine oh like in the here

we go see see watch what's happening in in the audience building course audience

building course calm the free course we give away at seanwes one of the things

I talk about in helping you build your audience's hey you gotta make content

you've got to put out content regularly weekly is awesome you're gonna stay

relevant daily you're gonna be top of mine that's that's the sweet spot it's

also super super hard and what you want to do when you're super pumped up I'm

gonna put out a daily content like Casey Neistat and Gary Vee you know it you

don't want to do Casey and I stat shoot the day before

edit all night till 4:00 a.m. don't sleep and publish at 8 a.m. you don't

want it yeah I did that it wasn't great you you tried the daily vlogging with

the day before it for 77 or 78 days I think 77 or 78 days I did the first that

many and and I was like I think something needs to change

so what I teach an audience building course is create an editorial calendar

and you need to create a Content buffer and what is a Content buffer it's a

collection of finished pieces of work ready to go they're done they're

rendered their written they're edited they're proofed whatever the media is

it's done it's scheduled it's going to go out you need four to six of those

done ready scheduled going to go out if you're doing weekly content if you're

doing daily content you need 10 to 14 this is what I put in the audience

building course so here we are I'm like all right Cory let's plan out the

seanwes tv editorial calendar we're gonna go hard at this we're doing seven days a

week here we go and I'm all excited I want I want to put this stuff out you

know we're recording this well before you see it I'm excited I want you to see

it I want to share this and I can't I gotta take

my own medicine like you're talking about me right what I learned in vlog

ology you know people are like what I learned an audience building course it

it's like man I gotta be disciplined I gotta take my own advice we're gonna

create two weeks of a Content buffer because we're doing daily it's done it's

scheduled it's ready to go but man taking your own advice that stuff it's

the worst but I mean but it's good then cuz then all I have is all I have to

blame is myself and and if I really actually believe the things that I say I

know that that's the best way to do it so yeah alright um do you feel okay

about this session what you need to do yeah all of that yeah i'm i have other

questions but i feel like they would be like that we can we can save that for

another time i think well i feel good on this good news Cory this is an ongoing

series which which is named you wouldn't come up with the name with me beforehand

so this is where we do it something with side projects it could be called that

what do you think something with side projects you know i can't say that i

love it no it's terrible yeah I was thinking

don't finish your side projects side project finish your side project

extravaganza I feel like it's a side project to come up with the name for

this why did no no don't don't you wheeze a lot of this what if are you

ready for this go ahead what if its side projects don't

think it it can be whatever she can be whatever let's say whatever be whatever

we don't we're not getting side projects calm or something that's what we're

calling this show yeah I don't like to it's just even do it it's a conversation

it's just a call for you and I but for people watching it's the show it's a

series yeah we'll do it weekly we'll check in so I pray I'm into it I'm

into it I like projects with Sean and Cory I have so many of them my good deal

so you got you got more questions you got some homework for this week

we'll check back in next week we'll be able to show the progress that

you actually did it yes oh yeah oh yeah it's public

accountability now oh well all right cool good good show check out for e will

put this channel here click through watch this blog check out below ecology

and we'll see you next week thanks Sean

F-15E Strike Eagle ⚔️ US Multirole Strike FIGHTER - Duration: 4:30.

Specifications (F-15E) Crew: 2 (Pilot and weapon systems officer)

Powerplant: 2 × Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-220 or −229 afterburning turbofans

Performance Maximum speed: 3,017 km/h

Combat radius: 1,270 km Ferry range: 3,900 km with conformal fuel

tank and three external fuel tanks Service ceiling: 18,200 m

Rate of climb: 254+ m/s

Armament Guns: 1× 20 mm (0.787 in) M61A1 Vulcan 6-barreled

Gatling cannon, 500 rounds of either M-56 or PGU-28 ammunition

Hardpoints: 2 wing pylons, fuselage pylons, bomb racks on CFTs with a capacity of 23,000

lb (10,400 kg) of external fuel and ordnance.
