hey everyone it's Ian K back again with another one for ya this time hitting
the club over at BK to check out the latest version of their upgraded chicken
sandwich that's right it's the sourdough chicken club so let's see what this one
has to offer after we scoop it up to that drive-thru yeah peep this out could
I go for the sourdough chicken club just with light mayo just the sandwich by
itself and that's it
crispy please you got it that's it great thank you now with the sourdough king
being all the rage right now it's only natural they would have a chicken
version right hey yes how ya doin' good thank you all right brother take care
we'll see 'ya alright guys is sourdough gonna make the difference on this one let's
peep this out
just when you thought the sourdough king was gonna be it this month we've got the
sourdough chicken club pulling up the rear and I gotta say this actually looks
pretty decent from the side guys it's a pretty nice-looking sandwich as for the
top however it looks like the top portion of the sourdough bread missed a
toaster by the halfway point it does appear to be nice and toasted and it is
it definitely feels good and obviously it's softer on this side let's pop the
top see what we've got well so much for the light mayo they
gave me a little bit of a surprise here plenty of mayonnaise we've got some
lettuce they've got a tomato slice on there supposedly thick cut bacon the
Hickory type I believe and now it's actually fairly decent there as well
we've got some American cheese and that's all on top of their breaded
upgraded 100% white meat crispy chicken filet definitely a decent situation
there and maybe just a little over crispy if you ask me let's lift this up
further and of course I guess there is the light Mayo nice one Burger King
nice one little on the bottom plenty on top but let's give this a shot like I
said it looks fairly decent this is the all-new sourdough chicken club here at
BK let's peep out this flavor get up in the club get the new toasted crispy
juicy sourdough chicken club well played on the Mayo BK well played let's dive in
it's the sourdough chicken club from BK and yes I'm taking this one down with
the tomato and actually it's not too bad with it but then again it is being
masked by the flavor of that hickory smoked bacon on top of the outer coating
of the chicken itself it's a pretty nice combination in general and for me
personally one of my favorites with these chicken sandwiches here at BK I
mean ever since they've upgraded the chicken here it actually is a much
flavorful type of chicken sandwich so when you add the bacon on top of it of
course it's gonna be pretty tasty at least in my opinion but as for
everything else so far on this let's keep going you know aside from the
standout flavors from that hickory smoked bacon and the crispy chicken
itself which just happens to be a little drier this time out it's definitely
gonna be the Mayo and considering I did ask for light Mayo and they put a lot
more on of course it's gonna be a little bit more in the front in terms of flavor
but guys honestly besides that it's gonna be the cheese not only is it the
glue to hold everything together I'm actually tasting the American cheese in
this so overall everything does appear to be flavor popped and that's actually
a great thing with the addition of the crunch of the lettuce which I actually
wish was the leaf kinda not the shredded stuff here I'm just not a fan of that I
think leaf lettuce would have gone a long way presentation wise
it's not bad for what this is and with that tomato thankfully being drowned out
by everything else on this one I'm actually not minding that at all this is
actually a pretty tasty chicken sandwich over here and I got to say the sourdough
itself is crispier this time out even though the top half of this here is only
half toasted but hey it is what it is one more quick shot on the inside of
this one well it definitely checks off the boxes of what a chicken club should
have and the fact that you can get this with grilled chicken on top of the
regular crispy offering is another plus in that category I gotta say guys not a
bad offering from BK in the chicken department but as always that's just my
opinion what do you guys think do you think the chicken club is truly a
classic chicken club with the addition of sourdough and which do you guys
prefer in terms of the chicken crispy or grilled drop those comments down below
and definitely let me know and as for my overall score I'm gonna have to give the
sourdough chicken club here at beak a pretty decent 7.5 out of
10 this is still a pretty tasty chicken sandwich but unfortunately this time out
the patty itself was a little on the drier side perhaps it was left in the
fryer maybe a few seconds too long and with the addition of that extra mayo
which is probably the regular portion of mayo that's definitely no bueno for me I
really would have liked to have gotten it on the light side but as it is a
pretty tasty chicken sandwich and like I said grilled it crispy it's worth
checking out and those are my thoughts on one of the latest items here at BK as
