Youtube daily report May 21 2018

I know I stand in line until you think you have the time to spend an evenin' with me

And if we go some place to dance I know that there's a chance you won't be leavin' with me

Then afterwards we drop into a quiet little place and have a drink or two

And then I go and spoil it all by sayin' somethin' stupid like "I love you"

I can see it in your eyes that you despise the same old lies you heard the night before

And though it's just a line to you, for me it's true and never seemed so right before

I practice every day to find some clever lines to say to make the meaning come true

But then I think I'll wait until the evenin' gets late and I'm alone with you

The time is right, your perfume fills my head, the stars get red and, oh the night's so blue

And then I go and spoil it all by sayin' something stupid like I love you

(instrumental)

The time is right, your perfume fills my head, the stars get red and, oh the night's so blue

And then I go and spoil it all by sayin' something stupid like I love you

French researchers debunk conspiracy theories that Hitler is still alive - Duration: 0:38.

French scientists claim they have put an end to conspiracy theories surrounding Adolf Hitler's

death after studying his teeth.

The researchers were given rare access to the Nazi leader's teeth, which have been held

in Moscow since the end of the Second World War.

They said the teeth were authentic, citing comparisons with Hitler's dental records and

that they had no traces of meat.

Despite his murderous nature, Hitler was a vegetarian.

Various conspiracy theorists have claimed Hitler was still alive, with some saying he

fled to Argentina with his wife and others claiming possible sightings of him up until

the 1980s.

U.S. and China reach 'consensus' on reducing trade gap - Duration: 1:20.

The agreement is now in place.

What now?

Well experts say the outcome of the talks is generally positive.

But many point out that the agreement lacks specifics, especially on U.S. intellectual

property or the treatment of Chinese tech giant ZTE, a sticking point between the two

countries.

In the statement, they just agreed to strengthen cooperation on IP protections and that China

will advance amendment to its patent laws.

There is also no dollar figure attached to the U.S. trade deficit with China.

Just before the second trade talks, both countries were sharply at odds over a claim, made by

White House Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow, who said China would slash its trade deficit

with the U.S. by 200 billion dollars by 2020.

That characterization was disputed by Chinese officials.

So the fundamental differences on trade and other economic issues remain unresolved.

The U.S. plans to send a team -- led by Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross -- to China to hammer

out the details.

So we'll have to see how that goes.

A trade war has been averted, but there still may be frictions along the way.

Thank you Hyesung for your explanation.

My pleasure, Semin.

"EU must do more to save Iran nuclear deal": Tehran - Duration: 1:46.

Now for a look at stories making headlines around the world….

Iran's foreign minister has called on the EU to do more in its push to salvage the 2015

Iran nuclear deal, saying its efforts so far are insufficient.

For more on this and other international news we turn to our Ro Aram…

Aram… ever since the U.S. pulled out of the agreement Iran has been looking to the

EU to save it… but now it seems Tehran is losing hope in Europe as well…

That's right Mark… the main concern for Iran is how its economy will be affected by

America's withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal.

Washington has said it would reimpose sanctions on Iran, including ones aimed at the country's

oil and financial sectors.

EU leaders have pledged to try to keep Iran's oil trade and investment flowing, but noted

that it would not be easy.

However, Iran's foreign minister doesn't seem to be satisfied with their efforts, saying

European political support for the accord was "not sufficient."

Mohammad Javad Zarif made the comments on Sunday during a meeting with the EU's energy

chief Miguel Arias Canete in Tehran.

He added the possible withdrawal by major European companies from their cooperation

with Iran is not consistent with the EU's commitment to implementing the nuclear deal.

Several European firms suggested last week that their business in Iran would be restricted

or end completely due to the reimposition of U.S. sanctions.

Zarif went on to say the bloc should take more practical steps and increase its investments

in Iran, as well as preserve oil trade.

Canete responded by pledging to preserve the nuclear pact and continue cooperation between

the EU and Iran.

U.S. and China reach 'consensus' on reducing trade gap - Duration: 1:40.

Such a thawing of tensions between the two sides,… coming after Chinese officials traveled

to Washington last week, which followed President Trump's economic team's trip to Beijing earlier

this month.

We can speak a length about their exchange of trips,… but how significant is this agreement?

Well, remember Trump Administration's steel and aluminum tariffs announced in March?

The deadline for the imposition of tariffs is just around the corner...as early as next

week.

If implemented, it could have triggered a full-blown trade war.

Leading up to the talks, President Trump had threatened to impose tariffs on up to 150

billion U.S. dollars in Chinese imports to punish Beijing for violating U.S. intellectual

property and for its unfair trade practices.

China hit back, vowing to retaliate with tariffs of 25 percent on over a hundred U.S. goods

from soybeans to airplanes.

This whole tit-for-tat weighed on global financial markets, with the IMF warning that a global

trade war would undermine the broadest global upswing in years.

Of course, it was also considered a downside risk to South Korea's export-oriented economy,

according to the Bank of Korea.

So the fact that a trade war has been averted is good news, especially after the first trade

talks held in Beijing earlier this month only ended in differences, and alleged reports

of disagreements among the U.S. trade representatives.

Plus, peaceful relations with China could give President Trump a smooth run-up to his

summit talks with North Korea slated for June.

Sunny and warm afternoon along with high UV rays _ 052118 - Duration: 1:57.

Good morning.

Today is Soman, the start of the second part of summer according to East Asian calendars...

ancestors believe after Soman, it starts to feel more like summer...

And it will surely feel like summer in the afternoon but those in the eastern regions,

including Daegu will have cooler than average readings due to easterly winds.

For other regions, Seoul will get up to 24 degrees Celsius...

Gwangju will hit 25, while Gyeongju will top out at 21,... with very high UV rays across

the nation.

Tomorrow is Buddha's Birthday, we have rain in the forecast tomorrow evening which will

linger into Wednesday

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

South Korea has mostly sunny skies and good air, and North Korea will also have summer-like

weather under bright skies.

Over in Beijing, expect steady rain early on, followed by clouds with a few showers.

Perth is on track for the driest autumn on record.

There is some welcome rain on the way on Thursday and on Friday.

Vancouver had cloudy skies with some showers on Sunday, the sun should return for the first

half of the coming week.

As for South America, most cities on the map will be under mainly sunny skies on Friday.

Taking you to Europe,...

Rome and Paris will see rain for the start of the week, so have an umbrella handy.

Lastly to Africa, good news for those in Cape Town, expect a few days of much needed rain

this week.

That's the weather update for now.

Moon, Trump to closely coordinate for successful N. Korea, U.S. summit - Duration: 1:52.

We start with the diplomatic drive to get Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear weapons program.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in is leaving for Washington in the coming hours to meet

with his U.S. counterpart ahead of next month's highly-anticipated North Korea-U.S. summit.

Before their fifth face-to-face,... the two leaders spoke on the phone to ensure that

the Singapore summit stays on track.

Our chief Blue House correspondent Moon Connyoung starts us off.

In just two days they'll be meeting in person in Washington, but perhaps reflecting how

serious and alarming the two leaders are taking the latest about face by North Korea, Presidents

Moon and Trump picked up the phone on this Sunday to ensure they're both committed to

the success of the North Korea, U.S. summit.

That's after the North threatened to pull out of what would be an unprecedented summit

next month.

Seoul's presidential Blue House said the two leaders spoke over the phone for about twenty

minutes and exchanged views on various actions taken by North Korea lately.

"The two leaders will work closely and unwaveringly for the successful hosting of the North Korea,

U.S. summit set for June 12th, including the upcoming South Korea U.S. summit."

Mr. Moon is due to fly out to Washington Monday afternoon for an exclusive one-on-one with

Mr. Trump on Tuesday... where the two will hold private talks with only their interpreters

present.

It will be the first meeting between the two allies since the historic inter-Korean summit

in April and potentially the last before the landmark North Korea, U.S. summit in June.

With Presidents Moon and Trump's pledge Sunday to closely work together on the issue, analysts

expect the leaders to share their deepest thoughts on South Korea, U.S. cooperation

in the denuclearization journey and joint efforts to lead North Korea to the negotiation

table come June 12th.

National Assembly to hold plenary session Monday to vote on two pending bills - Duration: 2:29.

South Korea's National Assembly will be holding a plenary session this morning.... to vote

on two highly contested bills -- the extra budget, and a bill that calls for a special

probe into an online opinion rigging scandal.

It's long overdue... but rival parties have finally reached an agreement on the specifics

of the bills after marathon negotiations through last week and over the weekend.

For more, we connect to our political correspondent Kim Min-ji.

Min-ji, so has the plenary session begun as planned?

Semin, The plenary session got underway just a few

minutes ago....

The plenary session has yet to convene...

Rival lawmakers will be voting on the government's extra budget as well as the bill that calls

for a special probe into an online opinion rigging scandal.

The plenary session had initially been rescheduled twice before being called off,... as rival

parties were at odds over the specifics of the three-point-six billion U.S. dollar extra

budget bill.

After fine-tuning the details until late Sunday night... a sub-committee passed the revised

version -- which is roughly 20 million dollars less than the initial proposal,... and the

budget committee this morning also approved the revised version.

This comes over 40 days after the government submitted its proposal in early April.

Rival parties have also reached an agreement over the details of the special probe.

There will be a preparation period of 20 days... while the actual probe itself will last for

60 days.... that's subject to a one-time extension of 30 days.

As for the independent counsel that will lead the probe,... the Korean Bar Association will

recommend four candidates -- of which the opposition bloc will select two -- while the

final pick will be made by the president.

On the team will be also be three assistants to the independent counsel and 13 prosecutors.

To give you a recap of the opinion rigging scandal -- it revolves around a blogger with

alleged ties with a former ruling party lawmaker -- who is known to have used a computer program

to manipulate internet comments on political news articles... with growing speculation

the blogger may also have been engaged in rigging activities in the run up to last year's

presidential election.

The parties had agreed to vote on both issues at the same time,... as part of a compromise

to end six weeks of inactivity.

Hopefully, I'll have some positive results in our later newscast.

Back to you Semin.

Late LG Group chief Koo Bon-moo remembered for 'human-centered management' - Duration: 3:04.

LG Group Chairman Koo Bon-moo,... who led the nation's fourth-largest conglomerate,...

passed away over the weekend,... and he was 73 years old.

As well as being known for his key role in LG's many successes,.... he's also remembered

for his 'human-centered' management.

Lee Seung-jae reports.

Koo Bon-moo died on Sunday,... after undergoing multiple brain surgeries in recent years.

While the nation mourns the loss of one of the pioneers in the nation's electronics industry,...

many are remembering the legacy he leaves.

Koo, the oldest grandson of LG Group's co-founder Koo In-hwoi ,.... began working in 1975 for

the Lak Hui Chemical Industrial Corporation, now known as LG Chemicals and started making

cosmetics before expanding into plastics and household products such as toothpaste.

Koo Bon-moo would move up the corporate ladder quickly, before being named LG Group Chairman

in 1995.

Under Koo's 23-year leadership,... the Korean home-appliance maker became one of the world's

top five phone brands and its LCD business is now neck-and-neck with Samsung Electronics.

LG Group's sales also increased more than five-fold to 148-billion U.S. dollars in 2017

from 27-billion dollars in 1994.

Under Koo's stewardship,... LG's overseas sales also increased tenfold to 102-billion

dollars during the same period.

Despite helping the company grow into one of the world's biggest electronics giants,...

Koo is widely remembered for his integrity and 'human-centered' management.

In fact, during the Choi Soon-sil power abuse scandal, which saw a number of Korean conglomerates

questioned by the prosecution,... LG was excluded.

And according to a survey released this month by the Korea CSR Research Center,... LG Group

topped the list among local conglomerates,... both for credibility concerning the business

itself and the integrity of the owner family.

Based on his philosophy,... Koo had always been keen on attracting talent and investing

in long-term research and development.

Koo is also remembered for his treatment of employees, regardless of their backgrounds

and educational prestige,.. creating a fair corporate culture.

An example of his beliefs,... was LG Electronics Vice President Cho Sung-jin,... who became

the first high school graduate to become a top LG Group executive.

With his passing on Sunday,... the torch will now be passed to his adopted son Koo Kwang-mo,...

who was recently nominated to the board of LG Corporation last Thursday.

His funeral will be quiet and simple.

Just like he was as the chairman: soft-spoken and humble.

His New Year's address from last year sums up his legacy.

"Let us earn respect from the people and society."

South Korean reporters leave for coverage on North Korea's dismantling of Punggye-ri nuclear .. - Duration: 2:58.

It was this week that North Korea promised to invite reporters from five countries to

watch the dismantlement of its nuclear test site in Punggye-ri.

And the first batch of South Korean reporters left for Beijing this morning, for a stopover,

before hopefully taking the short flight to the North.

But they are traveling under a cloud of uncertainty as the regime has not changed its stance of

refusing to accept South Korean journalists' visa applications, a must for them to enter

North Korea to cover the event.

For more, we connect live to our Lee Ji-won at Seoul's foreign ministry.

Jiwon, so still no word from North Korea?

Nope Se-min, not yet.

Seoul's Unification Ministry sent the list of reporters to the North once again this

morning for their confirmation,... but still no response.

As for the reporters who left this morning,... four South Korean reporters from news agency,

News1 arrived in Beijing moments ago.

The second batch of broadcast reporters are to leave Seoul in the afternoon.

Those already in Beijing are expected to contact the North Korean embassy in Beijing to try

and get a visa for their travel to the North on Tuesday.

But whether or not they will actually be given a visa remains up in the air as the North

did not accept the list of South Korean reporters... or questions on how the event will be arranged,

which were delivered through the Panmunjom channel late last week.

The sudden rift between the two Koreas comes despite the recent reconciliatory mood.

It appears to be due to South Korea-U.S. joint military drills and a former North Korean

diplomat who defected to the South openly criticizing the regime last week at South

Korea's National Assembly.

So the South Korean reporters are still in limbo,... but there are journalists coming

in from other countries like the U.S., China, Russia and the UK.

Have they been given the greenlight?

Yes Semin, what we know so far is that reporters from ABC and CNN, were asked by the North

to gather at the North Korean embassy in Beijing on Tuesday morning.

If all goes as planned, the reporters are expected to leave for North Korea's Wonsan

Kalma airport by a chartered plane on Tuesday.

Wonsan is where the reporters will have their accommodation and there will also be a press

center there.

From Wonsan, the reporters will take a train to get to the test site which could take place

anyday between Wednesday to Friday.

The reporters are expected to leave North Korea on Saturday or Sunday.

Meanwhile, U.S.-based North Korea monitoring website, 38 North reports that the dismantling

of the test site has begun.

According to satellite images, 38 North says several key operational support buildings

have been razed, and some of the rails for the mining carts that go in and out of the

tunnels have also been removed.

Back to you Semin.

First serious injury reported since Kilauea eruption - Duration: 0:45.

Lava spewing from a continuously erupting volcano in Hawaii has blocked a highway that

serves as a major evacuation route.

The first serious injury has also been reported as Mount Kilauea becomes more violent.

A man sitting on a balcony was hit in the leg by a projectile of molten rock - otherwise

known as lava spatter.

Some are said to weigh as much as a refrigerator.

The lava stream, meanwhile, has blocked Highway 137 and threatens to make other escape routes

inaccessible.

It is also flowing into the ocean prompting warnings of laze - clouds of hydrochloric

acid and steam filled with fine glass particles formed when hot lava hits ocean water.

The Story Behind League Of Legends [Ep29] Darius - The Hand Of Noxus - Duration: 4:50.

The Story Behind League Of Legends - Episode 29 Darius - The Hand Of Noxus

There is no greater symbol of Noxian might than Darius, the nation's most feared and battle-hardened leader.

Rising from humble origins to become the Hand of Noxus, he cleaves through the empire's enemies - many of them Noxians themselves.

Knowing that he never doubts his cause is just, and never hesitates once his axe is raised, those who stand against the commander of the Trifarian Legion can expect no mercy.

Darius and his brother Draven grew up as orphans in the port city of Basilich.

Darius struggled to provide for them both, constantly fighting with gangs of older urchins and anyone else who threatened his little brother - even the city guard.

Every day on the streets was a battle for survival, and Darius earned more scars by his twelfth summer than some soldiers do in a lifetime.

After Basilich was seized by the expanding Noxian empire, the victorious commander Cyrus saw the strength in these defiant brothers, and they found a home within the ranks of his warhost.

Over the years, they fought in many grueling campaigns of conquest from one end of the known world to the other, as well as crushing a number of rebellions against the throne.

Within the empire, anyone could rise to power, no matter their birth, culture, or background, and none embraced this ideal more fervently than Darius.

From humble beginnings, he rose steadily through the ranks, always putting duty before all else, and garnering great respect for his aggression, discipline, and refusal to ever take a backward step.

On the bloodsoaked fields of Dalamor Plain, he even beheaded a Noxian general after the coward ordered a retreat.

Roaring in defiance and hefting his bloodied axe overhead, Darius rallied the scattered warbands and won a great and unexpected victory against a far more numerous foe.

He was rewarded with a senior command of his own, attracting many thousands of eager recruits from across the empire.

Darius turned the majority away, accepting only the strongest, the most disciplined and iron-willed.

Such was his fearsome notoriety, even in the lands beyond Noxus, that it was not uncommon for entire cities to surrender at the first sight of his banners.

After a grinding victory against the cloud-fortresses of the Varju, a proud warrior people who had resisted decades of Noxian aggression, Darius was named the Hand of Noxus by Emperor Boram Darkwill himself.

Those who knew Darius best knew he craved neither power nor adulation - he wished merely to see Noxus triumph over all -

so Darkwill ordered him and his warhosts far north into the Freljord, to finally bring the barbarian tribes to heel.

The campaign dragged on for years, ending in a bitter, icy stalemate. Darius narrowly survived assassination attempts, ambushes, and even capture by the vicious Winter's Claw.

He was growing weary of endless wars of attrition, and returned to Noxus to demand a reconsolidation of the military.

He marched his veterans into the capital, only to find that the emperor was dead, killed in a coup led by Jericho Swain.

The act had been supported by many allies, including Darius's own brother, Draven.

This was a difficult position. As Hand, many of the noble houses would expect Darius to avenge Darkwill,

but he had known and greatly respected the disgraced general Swain, and had spoken against his discharge after the botched offensive in Ionia some years earlier.

The oaths of the Hand were to Noxus, not any particular ruler, and Swain was a man who spoke honestly of his new vision for the empire.

Darius realized this was a leader he was prepared to follow... but Swain had other ideas.

With the establishment of the Trifarix, three individuals would rule Noxus together, each embodying one principle of strength: Vision, Might, and Guile.

Darius gladly accepted his place on this council, and pledged to raise a new, elite force - the Trifarian Legion,

the most loyal and prestigious warriors the empire could produce - and lead the armies of Noxus into a glorious new age of conquest.
