Youtube daily report Jul 21 2017

Hey, good afternoon folks. This is your girl Kimberly Jesika reporting live

today from Hollywood California. Wow when I tell you guys, that it is a hot one.

It has been literally for the last five days guys literally been like between 93

and 112 degrees depending on where you are in LA. It has been a scorcher in the

concrete jungle. So if you guys are out there, please drink plenty of water

get in somewhere cool, get under a fan, do what you need to do so that you can be

safe from the heat. I love the summer, I love the summer. I wouldn't live anywhere

where there's snow in my view. I grew up in Massachusetts, so the snow is

eminent but I tell you what, this heat is unbelievable. You could catch heat stroke.

Make sure you wear something on your head if you got a hat. If you have an

umbrella, use the umbrella. If you can get in air conditioning as much as

possible. You can also get fans. You can go on Craigslist and buy fans. For those

of you that can't afford to get fans, you know you go to CVS for 15 bucks and get

your fan. please guys stay cool. it is a hot one and we are just getting

in the middle of July. anyways I hope you guys are having an

awesome week. I know I am. Some amazing things are coming up and we have some amazing

artists that are going to play some great new music. But in the meantime,

I am excited, because as you guys know I am a womanpreneur. I love

talking to other women that are making a difference in the world

using their gifts to help others look great. This next young lady I'm going to

be interviewing by the way, she's just like too cute to boot. She is so cute. But

anyway she's an experienced entrepreneur, and creative director with a demonstrated

history of working in the branding and marketing industry; specializing in

global branding strategy, creative design, content curation, marketing, photography

copywriting, editing and client/event management. She's worked with clients

globally, from food delivery start ups, music and entertainment, digital and

print magazine. She is a serial business owner and a branding and

marketing expert. Her latest design is called Azure Design, a creative

design and branding agency with an expertise in global and creative design

for almost a decade. Her work has been seen in retail, startups

magazines and music and entertainment industry. One of her milestones includes

building a digital lifestyle and food magazine for one of the food delivery giants,

Foodpanda, which is known hugely in Germany and Hong Kong and traveling around the

globe, the world with music artists for branding, content creation and marketing,

creative direction of photography and videography. After developing several

successful boutique retail businesses, she wanted to

utilize her creative skills of others who want to brand their own business

globally. Basically she's like a mogul, but worldwide, think worldwide, Oprah.

You know you have the local people then you have Oprah so I'm looking at her and

that's not, no you look globally. Azure Design is established as the

one-stop solution for anyone who's looking for global branding

presence, creative design solutions and content marketing strategies. Since 2016 Azure

Design has expanded from their Hong Kong headquarters to a second branch in the

heart of Midtown Atlanta USA. Both locations are the dream hubs for

entrepreneurs and business. Azure Design aims to help your brand

grow healthily and strategically, which will attract your target market and

generate ROI. For those of you who don't know what ROI is, it's return of investment. Worldwide. Again we are

looking at worldwide, global strategies here. Her favorite social media spot is

Instagram and she also provides online consultations to clients who need an

in-depth understanding of how to run a successful brand and business

internationally. Her latest consultation workshop was sold out in Atlanta.

You don't want to miss the next one, make sure you talk to this young lady.

Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, I am more than honored to bring on none other than

the famous Ms.Azure Lorraine. Azure, are you there?

A: I am here. Thank you so much,

Kimberly. How are you today? K: I'm wonderful, beautiful! How is it over here in Hong Kong?

A: It's hot as hell. K: Oh my gosh. oh my gosh. So you guys are in the heat

there right now? A: oh yeah absolutely, the summer is always really humid and

stormy. it's just unbelievably humid. Like you can take a shower and

walk out and you'll get drenched in sweat again. K: Oh my gosh. That's just another level of heat. A: Absolutely.

K: so you know, Azure, tell us, please share with us, when did you realize you wanted to be

an entrepreneur? because you are doing some amazing things you know? A: thank you

well, I always knew I wanted to be a business owner even at the age of ten.

I have always been a creative and artsy person and I know the fact that I just couldn't sit

behind a desk and regular nine-to-five. I'll just get so bored.

So it was really never the question of if I will become my own boss. It was always

about when and how. So I started exploring different paths,

career paths and direction and learn as much as I can along the way. I started my

first organic beauty business 8 years ago and branched out to an organic perfumery

and I have always done my own branding and marketing because I have a marketing background.

One thing led to another, people really enjoyed my visions, and people actually started

recommending me to other people that need branding services, and so I decided to

launch Azure Design in 2016, which is a creative design agency and I got to

work with one of the biggest startups in the world from Berlin, Foodpanda, as the creative

consultant and actually help built a digital magazine for them, and we actually

reached over a million active users on social medias worldwide and everything

just kinda sky-rocketed from there. And now I am working with both corporate and entertainment clients.

it's unbelievable, it's crazy. 2016, 2017 has been crazy.

K: wow you really, you know how to get numbers,

you know how to get the eyeballs on people's stuff, is that another piece of what you do as well?

A: yeah, absolutely. I mean, you gotta be able to look at all the little

factors and connect the dots together and that's what branding is

about. it's not about you know just a logo, or an image; it's about being

able to put an image and a philosophy of a company or an artist and create

something visually beautiful, to attract the clients you want to attract,

to get the money that you want. So you have to consider all of these factors

together to make a great brand. K: Wow. how did you choose your niche?

Is it something that you just woke up one day and say hey, I wanna,

I wanna be a global branding and marketing executive that's worldwide? What brought you to

choosing this niche? A: look I've always been working with

corporate clients, and I have been working with corporate clients for a long time; but entertainment clients and

artists only came about 2016 when I created the magazine for Foodpanda,

Foodpanda Magazine, and one of the columns I created is actually

meant to be for highlighting international artists and musicians.

and I saw the needs of global branding and marketing with a lot of artists

A lot of them are very talented musically but they have no idea how to reach the

potential listeners and music buyers internationally. An image for an artist

is essential. It's your identity. It's your first

impressions to the world. Whether it's your image, the clothing you wear, your visual direction,

of your album, website, your social media, everything has to be on point and

connect with your audience. And that's where my company comes in. We help you to kind of bring

the elements together, as a unified image so that it connects with people

emotionally. K: Wow, so it connects with people emotionally, she said. A: it has to be.

K: you know, what you just said, that, right there! That was like a

golden nugget, guys! I hope you heard that. You have got to be able to connect with

them emotionally. I tell you. What are the challenges in your work? A: oh that's

a tough question. Um, I would say the most, probably the fact that most people have never

worked with a branding or creative design agency, so we always make sure

everything is explained clearly before we start any project. The most important

process is to make sure the clients are comfortable and confident of any

business, of your business, of my business then the whole process will be more fun and

enjoyable for everybody involved. You know because this process really eliminate a

lot of misunderstanding and miscommunication. The other thing is working within the showbiz,

you know there are a lot of curveballs and unexpected scenarios that

thrown at you. I'm sure you know. I was in Germany last year and I was

requested to make my first ever music video on the fly, with no equipment, no

assistants. I was the vision director, the video director, light and sound. I had one

camera and two lenses. I had five hours to plan the vision board, 1 hour to scout locations

3 hours of shoot, doesn't that sound crazy? K: Wow. A: You gotta do it because as a

creative, you know we've gotta be able to come up with the best possible solution

even in the worst situation. So that's what I did. K: You did it in a hot New York minute,

you did it in a hot New York minute, literally. A: yeah, I did a video in just under 12 hours.

K: wow. so tell us: what do you like best about branding and working with entertainment

clients and artists? What is it that you like best about working with them? A: well I love

branding because I get to see and create a birth of a company or an artist and build it

towards success. And it's really nice to see that. It's the vision and the process

that makes it fun and exciting; I get to work with different people from all over the

world. I mean, working with entertainment clients is fun because I

love music and I get to dive into different genres: Hip hop, R&B,

Pop and now we are working with EDM artists and DJs as well.

Branding an artist is more challenging than corporate clients in some ways because we

have to connect with the individual artists and connect them to their

potential audience. And you know, we have to think about building a brand that attracts a

wide demographic internationally; it has to be a mixture of what a client's

personalities and music styles are, and how the fans will connect with that artist.

and when you connect all the dots together, that's when you can build a successful brand.

there's another perk as well, I get to listen to all the preview

of the cleint's music before the project begins. K: Wow. Wow. Let me ask you this:

I know we talked a little bit about, you know, your work with doing the lyric video of 'I am

the one'. How did the whole video challenge start ?What

what brought that into existence? I mean, did you just get chosen, to say, hey you

know, we want you to do this for DJ Khaled?Mind you I love his song last summer.

His song last summer ruled the radio wave literally. I

love all of his music. A: he always knows how to put out the best for the summer.

K: yeah that's right. You know that song last summer? is it just me? is it just me? oh I love

that song, but we can do so much girl talk here. how did that whole video

challenge start? Cause' you had to take that on and done one in 12 hours.

A: I know. that was actually crazy. you know, the lyric video of I'm The One is actually a challenge

thrown by my team. I always throw them mini challenges. Being creatives,

you've got to be able to just think quickly on your feet so mini challenges

is a good way to actually train the team. And then one day they

just returned the favor to me. They came into my office one day and said, ''can we

throw your challenge?'' and I was like, yeah sure, why not.

I knew it was already going to be trouble cause' you could see the grins on their faces.

and the next thing I know the team was like, we want you to make a lyric video

of any song you want, but there is a catch: you have to do it under 24

hours. So being a competitive person I am, I made the video in 16 hours, with lots of

coffee and no sleep. And now the video is on YouTube,

we have like, what, 20K views already. so that's pretty amazing right?

K: That's pretty awesome actually. What inspired your ideas for the music

video? You got 20k (views). hell I wish I could get 20k views on my videos.

A: well the first time when I listened to the track, I knew it was going to be to the

hit of 2017 summer.. the collaboration just blew my mind. It's catchy. it's commercial

and fun and I want to do something fun because it supposed to be a fun

challenge right? I wanted to make the visual, matches the breezy, groovy

summery vibe and the most diffciult part was actually to sync Chance's and Quavo's rap.

I think I was rapping in my sleep for a week after making that video. K: wow wow you are

very creative. Then again, I mean you're creating makeup lines and perfume

lines and you know what I mean? Like you, that's what you do. This is what you were

born to do I mean literally. Like Lady Gaga says, I was born this way.

Like literally, you were born this way. This is what you do, it is a vibrant

element of your DNA. Seriously. Did you ever work with DJ Khaled? I mean this is

so exciting. A: no I have not had the pleasure to work

with DJ Khaled himself. But I would love to though. K: Wow he's is amazing. he's

blown up like overnight. Seriously. I remember, I don't

know I don't know why I didn't pay attention to him before but actually I think he's

very talented. I loved all the memes that he has and all the little videos in the

photos that he has with his little boy because that's amazing. A: yeah I love the

fact that he puts his little boy in everything that he does. It just

shows how much he loves him and it's amazing. and I love that. K: he's amazing and

you're amazing. I mean we're not going to take away from you, and you, you're

amazing too - I mean, you are! So somebody wants to work with you, what would

that look like? A: I'm sorry can you say that again? if someone

wants to work with you, what would that look like? What would we need to do in order to

become your client? A: well you can go to our Instagram, reach us out on

Facebook, Twitter or actually go onto our website at azuredesign.xyz. Our

Instagram handle and Facebook handle is the same @azuredesign.xyz

and you can just start them there. Send us an email, give us a shout out.

Send us direct messages. I actually sometimes read the direct messages

and you will be able to talk to me there. I also have Instagram, a

personal account, so feel free to reach out to us anytime. Let's start our

conversation, initiate, and see where that takes.

K: no, go ahead.Finish up what you were saying because I was gonna say, I love what you're doing.

it's like I want to see if I can work with you, to get the word out for my animation,

you know? A: thank you so much! I mean, we do actually a lot of different

things with our creative design agency. We do branding, social

marketing, digital marketing, offline marketing

photography, videography..if there's any services that you need at all, just give us a shout,

send us an email at hello@azuredesign.xyz and you let us

know what is it that you're looking for. What is it you need help with and then

we actually come up with some very creative proposal and we start from there.

K: Wow you are amazing! you're a powerhouse! I'm telling you. you're a force to be reckoned with.

I need to make a little movie about you. Because when I see girls like you, I

see girls like you that are like this in movies: where they're shaking and moving

things, you know, from whether it's in cat pose,

Supergirl..... A: thank you so much! K: yeah you're you just do such an

inspiration and you're beautiful. you're so cute to boot too- it's like you know

you have the personality, you have the look, I mean everything! It doesn't surprise me that

you sold out in Atlanta. That doesn't surprise me. I'm not surprised. A: well I am actually

really blessed because our sold-out workshops and consultations in Atlanta

back in March was all because of our Instagram. Our followers have been amazing. so

I can't thank you enough. I love Atlanta. I consider it my second home. I'm

actually thinking about moving to Atlanta and so you know like I'm just really

glad that we had a really amazing start. I'm actually going to be back again this

summer probably in August. So if anybody wants to come in for one on one

consultations, by all means, give us a shout! K: Absolutely! Absolutely! Thank you so much

for interviewing with us today here at WK IM FM Radio. A: Thank you so much, Kimberly. It's been amazing.

K: oh my gosh! The pleasure was mine. You are such a doll! I love talking to you and I welcome you

back anytime. A: Thank you so much, I would love to be back. You have a lovely day. Thanks again. K: Yay. Okay guys we'll see you

soon .we're gotta go and take a break and pay bills but we'll be right back. You

【Book Introduction】Wonder(by R. J. Palacio ) - Duration: 4:38.

Book Introduction:

Wonder , by R. J. Palacio

Over 5 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen

in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from

going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more

than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can't get past Auggie's

extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas

Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie's point of view,

but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These

perspectives converge in a portrait of one community's struggle with empathy, compassion,

and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com

and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering

the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic,

this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her

debut novel "a meditation on kindness" —indeed, every reader will come away with

a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for,

a diamond in the rough who proves that you can't blend in when you were born to stand

out.

About the Author:

R. J. Palacio was born and raised in New York City. She attended the High School of Art

and Design and the Parsons School of Design, where she majored in illustration with the

hopes of someday following in the footsteps of her favorite childhood author-illustrators,

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Maurice Sendak, and the D'Aulaires.

She was a graphic designer and art director for many years before writing Wonder. We're

All Wonders, which is based conceptually on the themes of her novel, represents the fulfillment

of her dream to write and illustrate her own picture book. R.J. is also the author of Auggie

& Me: Three Wonder Stories and 365 Days of Wonder: Mr. Browne's Book of Precepts. She

lives in Brooklyn, where she is surrounded by magical water towers, with her husband,

their two sons, and their two dogs, Bear and Beau. Learn more about her at rjpalacio.com

or on Twitter at @RJPalacio.

Top customer review:

First - Parents need to know that Wonder is about young boy, August Pullman, who has a

congenital facial abnormality who has to cope with a range of reactions to his unusual appearance.

Some kids use hateful language, and some people suggest that Auggie is mentally deficient.

However, goodness wins out, and readers should find it inspiring and uplifting. Author R.J.

Palacio writes the book in multiple voices -- Auggie's, some of his friends', his sister's

-- and the different points of view are mostly very well-realized and show the inner feelings

of the different characters. Wonder by RJ Palacio was astonishing! I think the book

was for grades fifth-eighth grade, and adults would like it. This book can teach many different

lessons. The one that stood out to me was not to judge by the way someone looked but

by the inner character of that person. It is one of the most moving books I have read

in a long time, and I am still pretty amazed at how the author wove so much complexity

into a story for middle schoolers.Take home messages included, you can count on your parents

even if things get tough, sometimes people make mistakes and deserve second chances,

sometimes you just have to suck it up and endure and most importantly, in general, things

change over time.

Thank you for your listening!
