Youtube daily report Jul 21 2017

it's already late July but I realized I have not done any reading wrap-ups this

year. And I consider myself a member of booktube so I should probably talk

about books that have read, right? that's a big part of it. um, so I'm behind on my

reading goal this year. I've started a lot of books but I've only finished

eight of them. I'm a little embarrassed but it's okay. we're going to do this tag

anyways because it'll be really entertaining. first I'm going to tell you

what those books that I've read are. the first book I completed this year was

Lumberjanes book four, out of time and then right after that was Lumberjanes

book five, band together. ah, yes. I'm catching up slowly on this series. it is

probably my favorite comic series that is currently, um, a thing. next thing I

read was a MacBeth comic, which was a part of the blind date with a book thing

that they did around February at my local library. I probably read it a month

later though. same with the next book, the last Dragonslayer by Jasper Fforde. it was

wonderful. then I read Real Friends written by Shannon Hall and illustrated

by LeUyen Pham. this was a complete 'it looked interesting so I bought it on my

birthday' situation. next was Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.

really cool. and then I listened to the audiobook of The Heir and The Crown. so

that's what we're working with for this tag. let's get started. question number one,

the best book you've read so far in 2017. I'm going to have to give that to

Slaughterhouse-Five. A fuller review is coming. number two,

best sequel you've read so far in 2017. I guess like, this counts. because I mean,

it's a series and they're comics but they were so wonderful and lovely. number

three, new releases you haven't read yet but you want to. I guess Lumberjanes

number six. I have it. most anticipated release for the

second half of 2017. I don't I don't know. this is the thing, I'm in booktube

because I make videos about books and I enjoy the community, but I'm really not

like...I don't know where to start, honestly. how do you do it? how? how? how

does booktube work? how does it work? tell me please! Thanks. number five,

biggest disappointment. huh, like she's so mean! I knew it going in but I just had

to know...which is why I did it as an audiobook, both of them, cause like I need

to clean my house. number six, biggest surprise. the biggest surprise was Real

Friends. so I literally saw this book in a comic book store as I was buying

Lumberjanes and Sailor Moon and I said 'oh that looks

really cute' and my husband said 'I think you should get it, this looks like

something you would like' and it's my birthday so I got it. and I was not

expecting to relate to the main character and her experiences in

childhood with friends and at school as much as I did, but there were so many

things in here that just like...I felt. favorite new author. well I guess my

favorite new author is then Shannon Hale because I've never read anything from

her before. and I feel like everything else I read was from an author that I've...

Oh, Jasper Fforde, who wrote The Last Dragonslayer. he's a new author to me as

well, very interesting and I'm wondering if it's because it's a middle-grade book...

the way it was written was just, hard to describe, but the way the narrative

flowed was something I wasn't used to. number eight, new fictional crush. I'm gonna

say Kile, from The Heir and The Crown. number nine, newest favorite character. I

think I am really liking, of course all of the women, young women in the

Lumberjanes series. but Jen is a character that I didn't like it first. I

thought she was bossy and annoying and kind of

an antagonist to the girls, but as the series has gone on she's changed. And I

just like, oh. I like her: 'you have to follow the rules because of safety and

it's important' I understand her instincts and she's a cool name so, duh.

number 10, the book that made you cry. honestly, I probably shed some tears

reading...listening to, not reading. listening to The Heir and The Crown, just

because there are some moments that are heart-wrenching, I guess. also I cry super

easily. like, really easily. number 11, the book that made you happy. this one. kids

are weird, but it made me happy to read about. number 12, favorite book to movie

adaptation that you saw this year so far. I probably saw a few, I just don't

remember. the most recent one I saw though was Mrs. Peregrine's Home for

Peculiar Children. I read the book years ago. It looks good, the cinematography, the

art direction, all of that is on point (as the kids say) but I don't feel like the

story flowed very well. it was very slow at the beginning, it was kind of putting

me to sleep and I don't know if I just wasn't in the right mood when I was

watching it...but it just felt like it was a little flat overall. like kind of, you

know, ehh? I don't know, it also wasn't very diverse which probably added to the

flatness of it. number 13, favorite review you've written this year. I don't write

book reviews anymore. I used to. before I made videos about books, I had...my blog

was very focused on book reviews before it became like a blog about my life. but

I never made videos about that, now I do the opposite I guess. and I've never

written a review on Goodreads at all. number 14,

most beautiful book you've bought so far this year.

I'm gonna talk about this in a later video 'cause I'm still reading it, but I bought this

at Disneyland. and it's beautiful. the photographs, the art, it's just

beautiful. last one, number 15, what books do you need to read by the end of the

year. I don't need to do anything. I do need to read The Handmaid's Tale for a

buddy read, buddy book, buddy read video, that I got to make. so I need to read

that one. I have a bunch of books I've started either this year (or a year ago

or longer than that) that I've just not finished for a multitude of reasons. I

think I'm going to make a video about all of them, so let me know if that's

something you'd like to see. write every day. read every day. rinse. repeat. never stop.

Meow.

살까말까?!여름 로드샵 파운데이션 4종(에뛰드, 한율, 이니스프리, 아리따움) Summer Korean Foundation Worth It Or Not? - Duration: 10:40.

today I am gonna share my summer foundation 'worthy or not' !

which was the most requested video!

today I got 4 korean roadshop foundations, etudehouse, hanyul, innifree and aritaum.

one of them is renewed or brandnew, and the others are on sale.

I have tone 21 and I have combination sensitive skin type.

all statements in this video are 100% my opinion.

let's get this video started!

I tested all the foundations on my face and also tried a couple of tests to see long-lasting and skin expression level.

The first one I want to share is Etude House's double lasting foundation!

This one has just been renewed and it is known for it's silky texture.

when I applied it on my arm, I was able to feel the silky texture by myself.

I also tested if the foundation comes out and smeared

and it barely came out on tissue

I think this foundation makes my skin look really good

when I apply the foundation, it feels watery at first but it becomes powdery soon.

colors are also added in the collection

I think it is easier to find own color fit among the colors.

it's semi-matte, not matte.

if you have super oily skin, your face may look a bit greasy after hours.

I would rather recommend this to dry / combination skin type people who are looking for summer foundation.

also when I applied multiple layers, coverage level got enhanced!

it has high coverage, and it lasts really long without cakey smeared face

I want to give 'worth it' mark! It's a great quality foundation for summer!

Hanyul cover foundation is the next one!

It's on sale right now in stores! I also purchased it during sale!

it has two colors, 21 and 23. I think the colors came out really natural and not too bright!

I want to give thumbs up to hanyul for good work on colors!

this foundation drys the fastest among 4 foundations.

this foundation is famous because people think it's similar to estee lauder's double wear foundation.

but! hanyul actually designed this to low-viscosity foundation.

you can achieve the best quality when you use this foundation single.

it attaches on your skin very tight and its formula will stay long.

so I recommend using this without pairing with a lot of makeup bases.

same as pore primers, if you use base product a lot, this foundation is likely to break off from your skin.

the foundation came out little (the second picture)

the coverage level is absolutely amazing, I was impressed!!

I was able to feel tight attachment of the foundation with my face skin.

It covered almost everything with single apply.

it has the best coverage level among 4 foundations.

one downfall is that silky texture won't last long because it's too dry

I think some people will love this and some people also will hate this lol

If you have oily skin type and want a super cover foundation, it's yours.

If you have dry skin and want a dewy foundation, it's a no.

[★BREAKING] Jay Park signs with Jay Z's Roc Nation - Duration: 3:14.

[★BREAKING] Jay Park signs with Jay Z's Roc Nation

Jay Park, a pioneer in leading the Hip-Hop movement outside of Korea, has officially signed with Jay-Zs label, Roc Nation. The news has been officially confirmed by Roc Nation, in a tweet that was just posted.

Jay Park also posted on his Instagram Page, thanking Roc Nation for recognizing him as an artist and proclaiming it a win for Asian Americans.

Jay Park and close friends first started releasing hints that seemed to indicate he had signed with Roc Nation, back in March.

The legendary company manages some of the worlds biggest artists such as Big Sean, Future, J. Cole, Rihanna, Shakira, T. , Jaden Smith, and DJ Khaled.

It was first pointed out that Jay was in the US on business during an appearance in Seattle-based podcast, The Glow Up. He discussed his music, past experiences at JYP Entertainment and more in the podcast.

Jay Park first uploaded a photo of him at the Kodak Lens Office in New York back in January and was then featured on their Instagram account.

The office belongs to Lenny S., a Senior Vice President at Roc Nation. Lenny is also a photographer and has been by Jay Zs side for nearly 20 years now.

helps run the label side of Roc Nation and has signed artists like Vic Mensa and DJ Khaled to Roc Nation and also works with managing some of these same artists.

Pictured with Jay Park in the above photo (behind Jay) is Ashley Choi, the Head of International Department at AOMG.

When Lenny S posted the photo to his official account, Jay Park posted another photo that then re-ignited the rumors of him signing to Roc Nation.

Jay Park absolutely fits into the narrative of what Lenny believes an artist should be defined as. Hes an artist that has created a brand and lifestyle that millions around the world follow.

Not only with himself but with a roster of talented artists signed to his label, AOMG and his new label, H1GHR MUSIC.

Lenny has said in multiple interviews that people either want to believe in the artist or want to be the artist and expanded upon that in a recent Fortune interview.

Its hard to find another hip-hop artist out of Korea that could be placed amongst the roster of Roc Nations artists as Jay Park.

While in New York, Jay Park also appeared on an Instagram live video where he once again teased big things coming soon.

Trump team seeks to control block Mueller's Russia investigation - Duration: 6:03.

Some of President Trumps lawyers are exploring ways to limit or undercut special counsel Robert S

Mueller IIIs Russia investigation, building a case against what they allege are his conflicts of

interest and discussing the presidents authority to grant pardons, according to people familiar

with the effort

Trump has asked his advisers about his power to pardon aides, family members and even himself in

connection with the probe, according to one of those people

A second person said Trumps lawyers have been discussing the presidents pardoning powers among

themselves

Trumps legal team declined to comment on the issue

But one adviser said the president has simply expressed a curiosity in understanding the reach of

his pardoning authority, as well as the limits of Muellers investigation

With the Russia investigation continuing to widen, Trumps lawyers are working to corral the probe

and question the propriety of the special counsels work

They are actively compiling a list of Muellers alleged potential conflicts of interest, which they

say could serve as a way to stymie his work, according to several of Trumps legal advisers

A conflict of interest is one of the possible grounds that can be cited by an attorney general to

remove a special counsel from office under Justice Department regulations that set rules for the

job

The president is also irritated by the notion that Muellers probe could reach into his and his

familys finances, advisers said

Trump has been fuming about the probe in recent weeks as he has been informed about the legal

questions that he and his family could face

His primary frustration centers on why allegations that his campaign coordinated with Russia should

spread into scrutinizing many years of Trump dealmaking

He has told aides he was especially disturbed after learning Mueller would be able to access

several years of his tax returns

Trump has repeatedly refused to make his tax returns public after first claiming he could not do so

because he was under audit or after promising to release them after an IRS audit was completed

All presidents since Jimmy Carter have released their tax returns

Further adding to the challenges facing Trumps outside lawyers, the teams spokesman, Mark Corallo,

resigned on Thursday, according to two people familiar with his departure

Corallo did not respond to immediate requests for comment

"If youre looking at Russian collusion, the presidents tax returns would be outside that

investigation," said a close adviser to the president

Jay Sekulow, one of the presidents private lawyers, said in an interview Thursday that the president

and his legal team are intent on making sure Mueller stays within the boundaries of his assignment

as special counsel

He said they will complain directly to Mueller if necessary

"The fact is that the president is concerned about conflicts that exist within the special counsels

office and any changes in the scope of the investigation," Sekulow said

"The scope is going to have to stay within his mandate

If theres drifting, were going to object

"

Sekulow cited Bloomberg News reports that Mueller is scrutinizing some of Trumps business dealings,

including with a Russian oligarch who purchased a Palm Beach mansion from Trump for $95 million in

2008

"Theyre talking about real estate transactions in Palm Beach several years ago," Sekulow said

"In our view, this is far outside the scope of a legitimate investigation

"

The president has long called the FBI investigation into his campaigns possible coordination with

the Russians a "witch hunt

" But now, Trump is coming face-to-face with a powerful investigative team that is able to study

evidence of any crime it encounters in the probe — including tax fraud, lying to federal agents and

interference in the investigation

"This is Ken Starr times 1,000," said one lawyer involved in the case, referring to the independent

counsel who oversaw an investigation that eventually led to House impeachment proceedings against

President Bill Clinton

"Of course, its going to go into his finances

"

Following Trumps decision to fire FBI Director James B

Comey — in part because of his displeasure with the FBIs Russia investigation — Deputy Attorney

General Rod J

Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel in a written order. That order gave Mueller broad

authority to investigate links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign, as well as

"any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation" and any crimes committed in

response to the investigation, such as perjury or obstruction of justice.

Mueller's probe has already expanded to include an examination of whether Trump obstructed justice

in his dealings with Comey, as well as the business activities of Jared Kushner, Trump's

son-in-law.

Trump's team could potentially challenge whether a broad probe of Trump's finances prior to his

candidacy could be considered a matter that arose "directly" from an inquiry into possible

collusion with a foreign government.

The president's legal representatives have also identified what they allege are several conflicts of

interest facing Mueller, such as donations to Democrats by some of his prosecutors.

Another potential conflict claim is an allegation that Mueller and Trump National Golf Club in

Northern Virginia had a dispute over membership fees when Mueller resigned as a member in 2011, two

White House advisers said. A spokesman for Mueller said there was no dispute when Mueller, who was

FBI director at the time, left the club.

Trump also took public aim on Wednesday at Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Rosenstein, whose

actions led to Mueller's appointment. In an interview with the New York Times Wednesday, the

president said he never would have nominated Sessions if he knew he was going to recuse himself

from the case.

Some Republicans in frequent touch with the White House said they viewed the president's decision to

publicly air his disappointment with Sessions as a warning sign that the attorney general's days

were numbered. Several senior aides were described as "stunned" when Sessions announced Thursday

morning he would stay on at the Justice Department.

Another Republican in touch with the administration described the public steps as part of a broader

effort aimed at "laying the groundwork to fire" Mueller.

"Who attacks their entire Justice Department?" this person said. "It's insane."

Law enforcement officials described Sessions as increasingly distant from the White House and the

FBI because of the strains of the Russia investigation.

Traditionally, Justice Department leaders have sought to maintain a certain degree of autonomy from

the White House as a means of ensuring prosecutorial independence.

But Sessions's situation is more unusual, law enforcement officials said, because he has angered the

president for apparently being too independent while also angering many at the FBI for his role in

the president's firing of Comey.

As a result, there is far less communication among those three key parts of the government than in

years past, several officials said.

Currently, the discussions of pardoning authority by Trump's legal team are purely theoretical,

according to two people familiar with the ongoing conversations. But if Trump pardoned himself in

the face of the ongoing Mueller investigation, it would set off a legal and political firestorm,

first around the question of whether a president can use the constitutional pardon power in that

way.

"This is a fiercely debated but unresolved legal question," said Brian C. Kalt, a constitutional law

expert at Michigan State University who has written extensively on the question.

The power to pardon is granted to the president in Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, which

gives the commander in chief the power to "grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the

United States, except in Cases of Impeachment." That means pardon authority extends to federal

criminal prosecution but not to state level or impeachment inquiries.

No president has sought to pardon himself, so no courts have reviewed it. Although Kalt says the

weight of the law argues against a president pardoning himself, he says the question is open and

predicts such an action would move through the courts all the way to the Supreme Court.

"There is no predicting what would happen," said Kalt, author of the book, "Constitutional

Cliffhangers: A Legal Guide for Presidents and Their Enemies." It includes chapters on the ongoing

debate over whether presidents can be prosecuted while in office and on whether a president can

issue a pardon to himself.

Other White House advisers have tried to temper Trump, urging him to simply cooperate with the probe

and stay silent on his feelings about the investigation.

On Monday, lawyer Ty Cobb, newly brought into the White House to handle responses to the Russian

probe, convened a meeting with the president and his team of lawyers, according to two people

briefed on the meeting. Cobb, who is not yet on the White House payroll, was described as

attempting to instill some discipline in how the White House handles queries about the case. But

Trump surprised many of his aides by speaking at length about the probe to the New York Times two

days later. Cobb, who officially joins the White House team at the end of the month, declined to

comment for this article.

Some note that the Constitution does not explicitly prohibit a president from pardoning himself. On

the other side, experts say that by definition a pardon is something you can only give to someone

else. There is also a common-law canon that prohibits individuals from serving as a judge in their

own case. "For example, we would not allow a judge to preside over his or her own trial," Kalt

said.

A president can pardon an individual at any point, including before the person is charged with a

crime, and the scope of a presidential pardon can be very broad. President Gerald Ford pardoned

former president Richard M. Nixon preemptively for offenses he "committed or may have committed"

while in office.

This is what I really like

It is taste of roses.

I arrived another restaurant

This cafe is very close to the place where we've been

You can really easily find this place as well

It is very close to that place we went

3~5 minutes by bike

This is a takeout restaurant

You can sit and eat at the restaurant

But here is specialized take-out restaurant

There are a lot of mosquitoes

You just walk or stand like me, they will bite you

I ordered this one

I am not hungry..but

I ordered Chinese style Mapo Tofu

which is the new menu

I will take this and go back home

This is SICHUN MAPA TOFU

I don't know whether I could come back here

I came to this cafe partly on take-out and partly for knowing this restaurant

So I don't know whether I could come here agian

So I ordered foods

Let's go back home now

This is main street.

OH~They sell organic vegetable buns

I need to come back to try that

They open at 7:00am

I am sweating so much

Shanghai has beautiful street everywhere

So I like riding a bike in Shanghai

and very convenient

I rode 10 mins...

I like most of streets in Shanghai

I gonna get shower after arriving home,

and then, let's have dinner

This smoothie bottle is called Lizzy's all natural

I bought three bottles

Green one, Red Velvet, and last one is tea..

It is written 'Mapo tofu'

This is new menu

There is no meat in it

Do you know that original Mapo Tofu has meat in it ?

No meat flavour

Let's put this soup over the rice

I think this is olive oil

It looks really tasty

I have thought of going outside again after having dinner at home

But I think I couldn't

It' very good to know this kind of take-out vegan restaurant

There are vegetables for side dish as well.

After eating this food, I will take a rest at home

If you also would like to try Chinese style vegan foods,

you can check out here, Delish

I will add the website below description

Check it out if you like

You can try other delicious menu

Let me try this one

I don't recommend this one

Although there is written' TEA',

Water, Black tea, Probiotic cultures

cane sugar, ginger, beetroot

It tastes like vineger

I will take a rest...

See you tomorrow. Good bye~
