Playing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Part 4 w/ Commentary [Vivec city Fighters Guild] - Duration: 16:27.

Alright so we've finally arrived to Vivec city.

After completing several quests in the -

- Balmora Fighters Guild.

And, hopefuly we can continue our adventures -

- here in Vivec city.

I can do some other city's later but -

- i decided to start with Vivec.

For now.

And, yeah.. so ~

Oh and by the way -

- i need to apologize to you guys for not uploading recently.

Uploading videos i mean.

Umm, that's because i was trying to do something diffrent with the videos.

And with this series of Morrowind.

And, it was not so successful.

Well i mean it was but -

- i don't feel confident enough to upload this kind of content right now.

Umm, and yeah and that's it hopefuly we can -

- continue our adventures in Morrowind in this kind of format.

And yeah so let's get right into the Fighters Guild here in the city.

Alright so we've arrived to the -

- foreign quarters plaza.

Here in Vivec city.

And here is the Fighters Guild, It's right over here so let's enter.

Very well, okay.

Let's talk to this guy.

"Raig" Raig ? I think it's Raig.

"Almsivi, D.Wolfie. I'm Raig. Don't Worry. Vivec Can be confusing for us, and we live here."

"Is there some specific place you want? Or someone in particular you're trying to find?"

Umm no just give me orders.

"Talk to Lorbumol"

Alright very well.

So let's just explore the Fighters Guild over here.

Nothing over there.

Hmm..

Another one.

"Baurin"

Hmm i don't know.

"Welcome to Vivec, D.Wolfie. I'm sure you have some questions. What would you like to know?"

Hmm nothing actually.

Let's just check over here.

Hmm no it's not Lorbumol.

Alright.

So this one is "Bashag gro-Snagdu"

"This is the sacred city of Vivec. Count your blessings. Can i help you..." no.

Alright.

So..

That brings me upstairs, no..alright.

Let's go through here maybe we'll find this..

Lo...oh ~

Lorbumol ?

Yeah ~

"Lorbumol gro-Aglakh"

"You here for orders or advancement, Swordsman?"

"Or was there something else you wanted?"

Hmm give me some orders.

Alright.

"Nar gro-Shagramph said he'd deliver a ring to Ranes Ienith, but he hasn't delivered."

"Go talk to Nar gro-Shagramph and brind the Juicedaw Feather Ring to me."

"Nar gro-Shagramph said he'd get a Juicedaw Feather Ring for our client."

"Nar says he doesn't have the ring, but he's a liar find him in the Hlaalu Canton Plaza and bring me that ring."

Alright very well seems easy enough.

But let's check our journal real quick.

"Lorbumol gro-Aglakh asked me to collect - "

"- a Juicedaw Feather Ring from Nar gro-Shagramph in Vivec."

*Mumbeling text from the journal*

Very well so -

- let's just go find him.

But before that.

I want to see if i can train a little bit, my skills.

No he does not offer training.

Let's check with her UGH *sigh* she scared me.

Alright uh training..

Let's see "Sneak", "Block" and "Medium Armor" no. Not useful to me.

Oh but can i trade some items with you ?

"Training"

No, alright nevermind.

Agh my god.

Agh maybe i can trade some items with Lorbomul.

Yeah i can, alright.

"Not yet, D.Wolfie. Not at your rank."

Hmm so maybe some advancment?

No, alright very well.

Maybe I'll talk to the guy upstairs, maybe he can offer me some training or items.

I'm just going to ignore the..

The comments that they make.

Alright.

I can not trade with him but i can TRAIN with him.

"Long Blade" that's useful alright.

47, how much money do i have? hmm alright.

Let's train my Long Blade to 50.

Oh very well, and i leveled up.

So let's just rest.

So i can level up my..

My level.. *face palm*

Alright "Until Healed"

Very nice.

Strength umm let's go with..

Speed.

And endurance.

Amazing, let's quick save real quick.

And now we can go -

- find that ring.

Alright so according to my journal.

Umm, Nar gro-Shagramph.

That has the Juicedaw Feather Ring -

- should be right here in the Hlaalu Plaza so..

This is a rather small place so it will not be so difficult to find him.

There he is.

Yeah.

Alright.

"This is the sacred city of Vivec. Count your blessings. Can i help you find some in particular? Or are you just looking around?

Umm i need the..ring..yeah there it is.

"I don't got any ring. I don't know what you're talking about."

Let's try to persuade him.

"Admire"

Alright and now let's give him some gold maybe?

Yeah ~

Very nice, alright.

"Fine. Take it. Never liked the stupid ring anyway.

Well, that was very easy so..

Let's check our journal.

"Nar gro-Shagramph gave me a Juicedaw Feather Ring."

Very nice.

Alright let's just get back to Lorbumol.

And report back to him.

Very well so were back in the Fighters Guild and let's report back to -

- Lorbumol gro-Aglakh.

Hello friend.

"I sent you to get the Juicedaw Feather Ring. Where is it?"

"You have the ring? Good. Give me the ring and i'll get your pay."

Give him the ring.

"Here's 100 septims, Swordsman. Easy money. You want more orders, i got them."

Before that let me just try to advance..alright..

"The Fighters Guild recognizes you, D.Wolfie. You are now D.Wolfie the Protector."

Very nice, now let's get some orders.

"There's an Argonian that can't keep it's mouth shut. Go shut Tongue-Toad's mouth."

Tongue-Toad?

"Go find Tongue-Toad at The Rat in the Pot in Ald'ruhn. Silence him and I'll give you 500 septims."

Alright, seems easy enough.

Sounds easy enough not seems easy enough...

I don't know..

Anyway let's go shut that Argonian mouth.

Alright so we are in Ald'ruhn right now.

And The Rat in the Pot is right over here.

Yeah, alright.

Alright so were inside The Rat in the Pot, and if i'm not mistaken -

- Tongue-Toad should be right here.

Yep, there he is.

"Yes, i'm Tongue-Toad."

"What? The Fighters Guild sent you to kill me?"

"What? Why would the want me dead?"

Let's talk to him, not kill him.

"What if i were to leave town? Would you let me go and report that i have fled?"

Umm yeah, let him leave town.

"Thank you, D.Wolfie. I will leave soon. May Stendarr watch over you."

Alright let's go back and report to Lorbumol -

- that the task is complete.

Alright so were back again.

After silencing Tongue-Toad, and let's report.

"You get Tongue-Toad to shut his mouth yet? I want that done."

"Good work, D.Wolfie. Just as long as Tongue-Toad keeps his mouth shut. Here's your gold."

Alright very well, let's try to advance once more.

Hmm...

"Your talents are noteworthy, but some question your depth of devotion..."

"...Preform more duties for the Fighters Guild and you will earn your place."

Alright, very well.

Alright, so let's get some more orders.

"I got a bounty on a Khajiit. Name's Dro'Sakhar."

"I got a bounty on this Khajiit outlaw Dro'Sakhar. He's hiding here in Vivec. In St.Olms, i think."

Alright seems easy enough once again.

Mhm..

Alright so let's get our bounty.

Okay so after a long search i had in the city -

- looking for, what's his name again? Dro'Sakhar? Dro'Sakhar yeah.

I finally found his hiding place so, it's right over here.

So let's just..

No questions sir, not questions..

Just you know.. i need to kill you..

Very well so that was rather easy.

Hopefully the next quests won't be so boring you know..

If you may have noticed i'm not so excited at the moment.

Because..

These quests are kinda boring. [To me]

So let's just get back to Lorbumol.

And report back to him -

- on a job well done.

And hopefully the next quests will be a little bit more exciting.

Alright so were back again in the Fighters Guild in Vivec city.

And let's just report back to Lorbumol.

OMG WITH YOUR LONG SENTENCES.

Dear lord...

Can you help me *cringe*

Nevermind, okay.

"I gave you the contract on that Khajiit, Dro'Sakhar. He dead yet?" Yeah.

He's dead.

"I heared you got the Khajiit. Here's the 500 septim bounty."

Alright, very well let's try to advance.

"The Fighters Guild recognizes you, D.Wolfie. You are now D.Wolfie the Defender."

Very well, very nice.

Okay so let's get some more orders, alright.

"Suvryn Doves says that Lirielle Stoine in Ald'ruhn owes him 2000 septims..."

"...Get Lirielle's debt money and bring it back to me. You get to keep half of it yourself."

Alright very well.

Can i trade with you? Yeah ! I can alright ~

So what do you have ? Hmm..

"Steel Helmet"

I have the Iron Helmet so..

Armor rating 13

19 on the Steel Helmet, so let's just get the Steel Helmet.

And ! Umm...

"Iron Claymore" what do i have ?

"Iron Claymore"

Very well, umm ok that will do.

For now..

I think, yeah.

There's nothing else that i can buy here.

Buy here that is better.

Very well, thank you for the helmet.

Let's just equip it real quick.

Very nice.

So i need to..

"Lorbumol gro-Aglakh has a job for me involving debt money that is owed."

Wait what? It's not written here.

Let's check again.

Hmm "debt money".

Oh!

"Lirielle Stoine can be found at The Rat in the Pot in Ald'ruhn. Go there and get the 2000 septims she owes us and report back to me."

Very well, let's check our journal again.

Alright.

So..

We need to go to The Rat in the Pot again in Ald'ruhn.

Very well.

Let's continue our journey.

The Meaning of Life - Duration: 8:04.

Hey guys, Culture here!

Usually I use this time to point out some sort of issue I have with how society operates

in the 21st century or break down how our interpersonal interactions can be flawed.

Trust me, there are plenty more gripes I have, but today I want to switch gears a little

bit and approach a topic from a more positive standpoint.

Every day you wake up, you do something and then you go to bed.

That's life in a nutshell.

But what is that "something" in the middle that's so worth waking up for?

I'm not trying to act emo, I actually plan on giving an answer, but I wonder how many

people take some time out to think about life on a grand scheme.

If you want to be philosophical about it, a fair question would be "What's the meaning

of life?"

If there's no overarching force guiding us or directing us, which let's assume for

now that there isn't, then perhaps the more pertinent question to us is "How can I create

meaning in my life?"

The way I see it, we can give life meaning in one of two ways: We can live the happiest

life possible, or we can leave a legacy behind for after our life is over.

Of course ideally, we can achieve both of these things.

So let's zoom in a bit closer and see if we can play the perfect game.

Happiness is such an essential part of our lives that it goes without explanation.

But nailing down the *types* of happiness we feel is a much more complex endeavour,

and one which I'm not going to even attempt to complete.

Instead I'll simplify happiness into two forms.

The first is the type that we might get on a Saturday night out with friends.

It's laughing at a joke, it's getting drunk, it's being stupid for fun and, if

you're lucky, it's getting lucky.

It's basic, it's hedonistic.

Hedonism is the pursuit of pleasure and self-indulgence and this is a way many people gain happiness

from their life.

Perhaps the issue with this tactic is that of highs and lows.

That is to say, is it possible to maintain that high indefinitely?

To never experience the fallout from your actions?

To not crash?

No, not *that* Crash, he is far from living the ideal life.

But he is hedonistic, and maybe he's a good example of what I'm talking about here.

Ultimately this type of happiness is superficial and fleeting.

I'm not going to say it's a bad way to live your life but it certainly doesn't

appeal to me.

The second type of happiness is satisfaction, the positive feeling you get from accomplishing

a goal.

This could be any goal whether it's performing a song, finishing a book, or literally scoring

a goal in your soccer game.

Of course, as you can see just from these examples, the goals can be large or small.

But all of these examples follow the same two steps: Setup and Payoff.

Let's take the example of making a YouTube video to explain what I mean because… well,

it's pretty obvious why.

The Setup is writing, recording, animating, editing and a bunch of other small jobs in-between.

It's hard work, frustration and a lot of time spent trying to squeeze out creativity

logs.

Eventually though, you produce the end product and release it to an audience.

The Payoff is getting to see the audience engage in the work, respond to it and share

it with their friends.

These rant videos are essentially a platform for my own opinions so seeing people discuss

what I say is enjoyable and helps improve my own understanding of the world.

But if we were to concede that the Setup is inevitably unenjoyable then we'd be giving

up; there must be some way to get the same satisfaction out of hard work as we do from

reward.

One way I was always taught to do this was goal-setting.

I remember countless hours spent with people visiting our class at school and giving us

special lessons on what they called SMART goals.

SMART is an acronym for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound.

You can probably guess what each of these words means but if you want to look into it

more just Google it.

The reason I bring these rules up is that they're designed to promote self-confidence

and motivation by breaking large goals into smaller goals.

Each time you achieve one of these small, easily attainable steps you feel a minute

portion of satisfaction instead of building the satisfaction to experience all at once.

Have you ever had those tubes of M&M's?

I'd get them for Easter or Christmas and it went one of two ways: Either I ate the

M&M's one at a time, spacing them out and getting small doses of delicious candy coated

chocolate-y goodness or, far more often, I would give into my animalistic instincts and

down the whole tube in one mouthful, the sugar saturating my tongue.

It was amazing, of course, but it was fleeting and I'd instantly be met with regret as

I realised I had no more M&M's left.

My point is that those who can discipline themselves, who can dose out their satisfaction,

will be happier in the long run.

I like to think of this idea as a kind of telescoping goal set.

In the example of making a YouTube video, the largest goal is to finish the entire video.

Then you could say that finishing a script is a sub goal.

Finishing a topic in a script is a smaller goal, writing a joke well is even smaller

and having the idea for the joke, the spark, is perhaps the smallest goal.

Once you can gain pleasure from even these small acts then it becomes far easier to get

motivated.

But the best thing about this sort of happiness, the satisfaction that comes from finishing

something creative, is that it also feeds into the second purpose of life that I outlined

at the start: Leaving a legacy.

Even after we leave the mortal realm, our work and our ideas can live on.

Just because we aren't around to see it, doesn't mean we can't derive a certain

type of pleasure from the legacy we leave.

A legacy doesn't just have to be a book or a movie or something else physical; it

can also be a change in the social fabric.

People like Martin Luther King and Che Guevara are remembered for their political revolutions,

promoting opinions and implementing systems which advanced their societies.

Of course there is one way of leaving behind a legacy that should be obvious to us as social

animals: The way we're remembered by our family and friends.

You don't have to change the world to be remembered; some of the greatest heroes are

unsung community members who make changes on a smaller but equally important scale.

They're remembered fondly and looked up to as role models, leading by example to shift

the perception of the generations that follow them.

There's also an intrinsic joy to interacting with people that is imbued in all of us that

propels us into sharing our experiences and knowledge with one another.

Ultimately I believe that the purpose we create in life should be to add to a constantly evolving

and morphing stream of ideas.

This stream is archived in our words, our work and in the people who we interact with.

It can range from pop culture and entertainment to philosophy and politics but at its core

the stream is about a concept that is timeless.

Even if we were all wiped out and all trace of our existence destroyed, the stream would

still exist because the ideas are persistent.

But what changes is which ideas take prominence in this stream; which ideas are focussed upon

more by certain people around the world.

The internet is a great confluence of differing streams and that's what makes it such a

rich resource to draw from.

That's why I love adding to that stream even in just a small way.

My personal obsession is with stories.

Stories in any form fascinate me whether it be a song, book, movie, game or whatever other

form.

I love them because they highlight the ideas in this stream, they provide a window into

the stream and give just a glimpse of the themes ad motifs which we deal with every

day.

They inform us about the human condition.

Life has meaning because not only can we add to this persistent stream, this thing that

exists outside of and beyond our lives, but because dealing with this stream is enjoyable.

And that should give everyone motivation: Motivation to find out what our strengths

are and then utilise them and sharpen them to aid this stream… or at least that's

how I feel anyway.

I didn't intend to get so deep in this episode but I hope you guys watching find the motivation

to start your own projects and collaborate with other creators!

If you find meaning in life in a different way or have a special way you get motivated

then as always: Vent in the comments section below!
