Last week on Everywhere Together:
We visited Emma Gorge at El Questro,
and the Purnululu National Park.
We also camped at Wolfe Creek Crater.
And the adventure continues!
Just arrived at Lake Argyle! Just before sunset!
And the view is amazing!
Most of the water is already in shade.
Tonight we are staying in the Lake Argyle Caravan Park.
The only mistake that we did is we should have arrived earlier and stayed longer.
They have an amazing view!
Look at that!
There is the lake in the background,
and then you can see there is also a little pool!
Very good morning!
We are here at the infinity pool at the Lake Argyle Resort.
Well, we are just camping. I don't know why it's called resort.
Anyway, the view is amazing!
Look at that!
So, we just left Lake Argyle and crossing the NT/WA border now.
From here, we are heading to Katherine and then Darwin.
And spending a couple of days there, and exploring the area.
We entered Western Australia about 3 months ago.
And, I think we enjoyed most of the parts here!
Yeah, it was a great state! Very nice!
See you in NT!
So, we just arrived to Darwin.
And, it's hot here! And it's so humid!
It's Sunday, so the city is pretty empty.
We're gonna take a long walk around the waterside.
Look at the harbour, explore the city,
and next week we're gonna visit a couple of museums probably.
We should check this out!
What does this do?
Okay, so what you see here is a driverless minibus,
and they are trialing it here in Darwin,
and what it does is it follows a pre-entered route,
and it just stops when it gets to an obstacle.
So, if someone stands in front of it, it just stops.
Then, when that obstacle moves away, it continues its route,
and as we saw people love standing in front of it, which is really fun to watch.
And, it has 4 stops, and they've been trialing it for a couple of months,
and eventually they will want to make this a free public transport system for Darwin.
So, this is pretty cool, you can check it out at the Darwin Waterfront.
And, yeah, it's awesome!
This here is the Government House,
which is the official residence of the Administrator of the Northern Territory.
And it was originally built in 1870, which makes it the oldest European building in NT.
And it was rebuilt, of course, after WW2, and after cyclone Tracey hit.
Today is another hot day in the Northern Territory.
It's very hot, very dry here.
We are at Litchfield National Park, and after friends' recommendations and our own research,
we decided to visit Wangi Falls.
We are here at the carpark now.
After that we are going to see the Lost City,
which is like a 4WD track, and at the end there are some ruins which look like an ancient lost city.
After that we are going to Buley Pools and Florence Falls.
This place is just super crowded.
And it's school holidays this week!
So, we are just going to the next spot, which is the Lost City.
It's a 4WD track, so probably it's gonna be less busy.
We'll see!
It really does feel like we are in an ancient city!
These rocks are amazing!
This one here is a castle, I say!
Yes, that's your castle!
Let's put the princess in to the tower!
We are almost at the Florence Falls.
I show you the map.
Where are we going?
Here!
Nah.
We're just going to the waterfall lookout.
Not so far away.
Just arriving to Buley Rockhole, our last stop in Litchfield National Park.
And it looks like you can swim here as well!
Look at this!
We are on our way to Queensland.
And we stopped in Mataranka. Are we walking?
We check out the hot springs here.
We've already visited the Bitter Springs.
Now, we are checking out the Mataranka Hot Springs.
Yeah!
We realised there is also a little building here.
Next to the car park at Mataranka Caravan Park.
And this one here is actually the replica of the Elsey Homestead
that they used in the movie "We of the Never Never".
This is an Australian classic about the time in the outback around the Northern Territory.
So, we're gonna go in and explore this little house.
Hey guys! We are just having a quick stop!
We've arrived back to Queensland!
Yay! Yay!
I checked my photos and we left Queensland on December 14th last year.
And we haven't been back since then!
And, yeah, we're just leaving the Northern Territory now. We spent about a bit more than a week here.
Yeah, let's go back to Queensland!
Next stop is Lawn Hill!
Next stop is what?
Lawn Hill!
Oh yeah, we are going to Lawn Hill, spending the night there.
Yeah! And then Mount Isa!
Hey guys!
As you know these episodes are about a week behind us.
Currently, we are already in Longreach, Queensland.
On our way back to Sydney, before we settle in Brisbane.
