The Remnant Trust - Duration: 1:01.

Herodetus said, "education is to light a fire, not fill a bucket."

The Remnant Trust is attempting to light fires by sharing in original form, and this is a

Vulgate bible, done in the 1200s.

Now, there are a number of private collections, university holdings, but they're locked up

in vaults.

Ball State University, you can come in here and pick this up and turn the pages.

These are ideas, this is where they were written, these are ideas that have carried through

the centuries and in some cases, the millennia, that make us who we are, the founded us.

The great ideas belong to everybody.

It's a fabulous opportunity, and I hope everybody will take advantage of it.

How to Fix Car Parts Instead of Buying New Ones (JB Weld) - Duration: 3:06.

rev up your engines!

welcome to mechanic Monday, today I'm going to show you how you can fix parts

in your car instead of just replacing them, now as you can see here, this part

of this valve is broken off the plastics cracked, this particular part cost an awful

lot of money, because it's computer-controlled vacuum solenoid, and

do to the overuse of plastic parts in cars these days, a lot of times when you're

working on a car, especially an older one, when you're moving stuff around you're

going to break a lot of that plastic stuff, but you can repair it rather than just

replace it, I use jb weld quick tube epoxy, now I'm sure there's a lot of

them out there that work, but when I find something that works I stick with it,

heck I've been married to the same woman for the last 40 years, now I use the jb weld

quick, because it sets up in five to ten minutes, now you still want to wait 12

hours for it to cure, but since it sets fast it won't come apart while it's

fully curing, now here's a trick I learned years ago, get a little piece of

tubing that fits inside where it's broken and you can slide that inside

like that, then you can epoxy it in place, so it won't leak and then the hose can

go back over the top of it when you're done and it will seal it perfectly

now the jb weld is easy to use, just get a piece of cardboard out of your

recycling bin, then make a line of the jb weld quick sealer and an equivalent line

of the hardener, then stir it all up so it's mixed,

then put some around a little tube you have and stick it inside, you can see

it's all filled in now and in 5-10 minutes it will be dry enough that you can put

it back together on the car, but like I said earlier, if it's any kind of a

high-pressure situation, you really want to let it sit for about 12 hours so it

fully cures, so the pressure won't bother anything, then you might asked how strong

is this JB well quick, well believe it or not, years ago I had a customer with a

Volvo and they had a little crack on their head of their engine, so I thought

oh what the heck, I drilled the hole out, make it bigger and round, then I put jb

weld and a screw in there and three years later they were still driving the

car, it actually fixed the engine, and remember since this is mechanic Monday

I'm giving away some of this jb weld quick, to get a chance to win, just post a

clean non offensive comment on the YouTube comments below and a computer

will randomly pick the winner, and now you know how you can fix parts on your

car when they break, instead of buying expensive new ones and remember if your

car has any problems, just visit the Scotty Kilmer channel,

so if you never want to miss another one of my new Car repair videos, remember

to ring that Bell!

Tony Robbins: The Best Advice Ever ( Tony Robbins Inspiration ) - Duration: 24:20.

It's no surprise that so many people today have a great deal of uncertainty

about where life the world the economy is going we're going through massive

changes and some of them are unprecedented we haven't seen for 40 50

60 70 80 years and yet at the same time we inherently know that with all this

change there's opportunity that there's a chance for our lives to be better than

they've ever been that transformations are happening and science and technology

can truly change the quality of our lives the length of our lives the way we

experience life and yet day to day most people live I think with a great deal of

foreboding a great deal of uncertainty and so I thought it might be nice to

just drop in for a couple of minutes and give you a couple triggers to remind you

what I know you know in your heart and that is we are not made to survive we're

made to thrive human beings our spirit our capacity to adapt our ability to

grow our little to learn with lightning like speed our ability to find a way to

serve others that calling inside of us that we have as a parent or as a friend

or someone who truly cares when we put our fear aside because there's something

we want to serve greater than ourselves we all have that ability to find that

passion in our life and as we now are in 2014 a lot of people start out with a

new year and it becomes a trigger for you know a possibility of a new life but

that disappears after a few disappointments after coming up with a

few New Year's resolutions that within a week or two they've already broken I'm

gonna talk to you about just the simple core of what you and I are made for we

are not made to survive we're not made to manage our pain or get through it

we're made to be creators of our lives we can create anything anything we can

dream about we can create I know that sounds like positive thinking you know

just BS but in your soul there have been times in your life I know when you've

had something that you wanted so much maybe you wanted something for someone

you care about maybe you want something for yourself but you became so obsessed

with something achieving it experiencing whether it was a transformation you know

in yourself a change in your business you know making a certain amount of

money getting a job you know increase of some physician increase maybe it was

doing something for your mom or your dad or your kids somewhere in your life you

got obsessed enough to really want to create something that

you don't even know how you were gonna do it but you just wanted it desired it

that you started all of a sudden taking action and you got insights and before

you knew it what used to be just this impossible dream became a reality

is it fair to say that some stage in your life that there are some things

today in your life there aren't just a dream or goal that once seemed difficult

or impossible would it be the job you have or the relationship you're in and

might be taking for granted is it is there anything in your life today that

was once like that well then you and I are creators and very often when we get

overwhelmed by so many things we feel out of control by we start getting to

being managers of our life managing our pain managing through the situation so

my purpose here is to say what does it take to thrive once again so let me give

you five quick keys number one key to thriving is you got it allow yourself to

be able to take advantage of uncertainty yes the world is uncertain right now

uncertainty has changed change his life we both know that we all know that but

if you and I are gonna become masters we have to understand and we have to work

on change change is automatic progress is not if you're not going to make

progress here in 2014 whatever stage of the year he's looking at this progress

comes when you tell yourself the truth and you're able to feel the uncertainty

and take action anyway the thing that stops us all is fear it's no surprise if

you're a failure for your rejection fear the unknown fear not looking good and

that fear we could translate into the simple thing of uncertainty now when you

look at someone who's incredibly successful you look at someone who's

truly a leader in their life or in their field the one thing they have in common

is they exude this sense of certainty how where's that come from is it in born

are they lucky I think just going their way now great leaders know how to step

in the uncertainty and bring the certainty to the situation most people

life we really feel like the level of stress in our life comes to how much of

life do you feel like you control how much does life control you do you tend

to control more of what's going on or events controlling it

it's very easy that those events start to take control unless we take control

what's between our ears our own mind you see what you and I focus on massively

affects how we feel whether we're thriving or surviving if you focus on

what you can't control if you focus on the past if you focus on

what's missing from your life constantly that pattern of focus will make you

frustrated overwhelmed and depressed it won't even matter if you're you know

taking enter depressants if you keep focusing on what you can't control

what's missing from your life you're gonna feel depressed though you think as

many antidepressants as you want focus equals power if you want to thrive

you gotta focus on what you can control you gotta focus on the difference you

can make and gotta focus on what's already in your life that you're

grateful for and I have a little process here at the end that's my gift to you

which is just a simple ritual that can bring you back to this place so one

thing that leaders do is they focus on the things they want they focus on what

they can control they focus on what they have they have a combination of

gratitude strength and commitment they really unleash the second element they

have a vision they have something that they're after something they want to

create something they want to contribute something they want to give something

you want to make happen and that's when you become a creator again instead of a

manager of life and it's easy to lose that sense of vision in your life

through disappointments hey we've all had them you get all excited about

something and then you know life seems to crush it

somebody betrays you you betray yourself you don't follow through and then you

don't trust yourself at the same level what makes somebody a leader is they

build this certainty and not only with focus and now we really get a vision for

what they want but they bring that certainty in their body listen if you've

ever been to one of my live events you know that one of the greatest things

about let's say unleash the power within is you go through a weekend where you

literally train your nervous system certainly I mean how the heck can you

get people to storm through fire it's not about fire walking it's about

getting yourself to be able to take action and the areas of your life

that normally you would more than hold back or your brain would take over and

say I can't do this are you crazy somebody else did it but not me what we

do is get people in a state where you're gonna follow through or you're gonna

face your fear and do it anyway and the way we do that besides changing people's

focus showing how to direct and control that focus is also by learning how to

use body is the tool to changer state listen

if I drop my shoulders enough if I were to breathe shallow enough and I would

have slow down and say you know I don't know I'll give it a try

and go into this state I'd be like Samson get his hair cut off it's because

what we don't realize is that our mind is directly affected by the way we use

our body if you change the tempo what you move you change the way you breathe

then you change the way you use your voice you literally change your

biochemistry and the one thing that you'll see that's the same with the

greatest golfer in the world or the greatest musician or the greatest you

know actor is they have this sense of certainty and it isn't born it's

something that you make as a habit you drill it into yourself I sure as heck

didn't have that sense of certainty growing up not even close and what I

found myself doing early on is I felt so uncertain I couldn't get myself to do

anything so I developed these rituals these rituals of certainty I would go on

these runs and on the run even though I didn't feel like it I would do these

incantations where I would say out loud over and over again you know gods won't

this circulate in my life his wealth flows to me an avalanche of abundance

all my needs desires and goals are met instantaneously by infinite intelligence

I'm one with God and God is everything and I would say that over and over and

over for 30 minutes just crazy and I would envision that God circling is well

circling my life and I see the wealth of love and friendship and impact and

growth and economics and all these things physical fitness and aliveness

I've seen this wealth of abundance flowing oceans of it into my life as I

went and did these things if you envision something clearly enough and

you bring certainty into it over and over again if you engage your physical

body in a simple ritual it could be as little as 10 minutes a day

I call it my hour of power or 15 minutes to be fulfilled and all you do is you

take five minutes and in those first five minutes you get yourself moving and

you get yourself in a state of certainty and the way you move and the way you

breathe you focus on what you're excited about in your life you focus on what you

want to create what you want to bring to your children what you want to bring to

the world and it it changes your state we all know what happens when you're out

of state when you're burnt out when you're frustrated when you're

overwhelmed you snap at people sometimes feel bad about it you didn't mean to

it's just the state you're in so to thrive this year take uncertainty

and bring certainty to it to thrive this year get what I call a compelling future

pick anything a goal a dream a desire something to excite you so much that

you're gonna feel yourself compelled to actually find a way to make it happen

you've done it before you've gotten obsessed you not even know

how you did it but things happen and you've got yourself to where you want to

be let's make that happen this year right now regardless of its later in the

year the beginning you're watching this I made this so that hopefully I'd remind

you of what you know that your main to thrive not survive what's the third

element that makes somebody an effective leader makes them a thriver

evil in the environment is crazy well they bring certainty and uncertainty

that's leadership skill buy focus and physiology by the way they moved by the

way to breathe by what they do they bring that certainty because there's

something they want so bad that it makes them overcome the fear they focus on

what they want to create what they want to give not oh my god what if I fail but

the third thing they do is they're decisive listen nothing changes your

life like decision I mean real decision though not Whoopie well well you know

I'll try or I kind of decided I want to give it a shot the word decision comes

some incision in Latin to cut off from and when you make a decision you cut off

from any possibility except the thing you've committed to but if I always tell

people if you want to take the island burn the boats I mean if you make a real

decision every bit of you is committed to something

it's amazing how life will move for the force of nature of a human being man or

woman that says this is how it will be I don't know how I'm gonna get it done but

I know this is what I'm gonna do I know why I'm gonna do it was a Martin Luther

King you said it's a man any man hasn't figured out what he's willing to die for

isn't fit to live if you can find something you're so excited about if you

can find something that will drive you with that certainty and you add to that

decisiveness you can change anything you don't like your job change it you all

but there's no jobs out there whole right change it start the job

change who you are in the job where you are and enjoy yourself

change your perception change your appreciation change your gratitude

change your daily ritual so you start to enjoy things change what you notice

change them trying to get something to try to give something the whole game

will change decisiveness is the ability to make a decision even though you're

uncertain once again what keeps me will make a decision fear of failure I

remember I had a chance to get to know general Norman Schwarzkopf during the

time which he was commanding our forces an amazing man and he would step over

there Desert Storm as they called it those days and he could command a guy

that was just brilliant you know an officer who came out of you know Harvard

or background of Princeton and he could take a kid from the inner city and just

have that same command in connection with them and I think part of what they

respected about him is he respected every one himself he had this connection

with people but the other thing everybody respected was the man was

decisive and I asked him where he developed that decision-making

capability just the willingness to just make a decision in trust he said Tony

I'll tell you where I worked for this general when I was very young again I

was his assistant and he said I remember there was a research project that the

you know the Pentagon had worked on for that time he said I remember right like

five years and there are arguments it was a very strategic decision for where

the Defense Department was gonna move towards in the future how they were

going to operate and he said there were arguments for both sides and for five

years they'd gone back and forth and nothing was resolved and they came to

the general that he was serving at that time as the assistant and they had a

meeting and the meeting lasted one hour and at the end of the hour they didn't

generly stood up and said do that and he picked one of the two and he did it with

absolute certainty and in the military you salute and you take your orders and

you go said but sort Scott said he was just curious really curious to know you

know how can I get up and make a decision like that because swear Scott

said I was the one doing all the research and there was just there was

loads and loads of research and I know he hadn't read at all

they said it bothered me that he'd just make a decision like that without

knowing everything he could possibly know

and so he said Schwarzkopf said I finally went to him and said sir

permission to express myself freely he said permission granted he said sir

how could you make that decision he said there are reams and reams and reams of

information you got a one-hour meeting you heard what 20 minutes of discussion

for both sides and you decided the entire direction where things are gonna

go for their armed services with it this part of the armed services and he said

how could you possibly do that you don't have all the information he said no one

does in fact information is important to an extent but ultimately action is what

needs to be taken someone needs to decide it was about how

you know you made the right decision he said no one has made a decision young

man in five years a half a decade what I decided will be right because either

will put all the resources and will make it right or if it's wrong we'll discover

that quicker than sitting on the fence for another five years and we'll find

out it's not right it will change leadership is making decisions if you're

gonna lead your own life you got to make decisions and what's worse Scott says

you realize rule number one in life is when put in charge from putting command

take charge make the decision if it's right or wrong you're gonna find out

quicker than if you sit around and the interesting thing is the more you make

decisions the better you get what makes somebody a leader what makes somebody a

leader is they're willing to make the decision other people won't make they

want to put themself on the line knowing that you're gonna be wrong in some of

those decisions but you're gonna find out quicker and you can simply adapt and

change your approach to still get where you want to go be decisive don't like

your body change it don't like your relationship change it start by changing

you if you've changed you it's still not right then change it but the way you

make any change happen starts with a decision all action all results our

mother door fathered if you would by a decision

what's one small decision it could make right now they would take in a direction

you know you need to go what's a big decision that might be really tough but

if you really made it truthfully it would take you on a new direction of

your life because whatever direction you head into will lead to an ultimate

destination or destiny when you know it's right it's time when you're still

fearful it's still time you want to change your life decide decide something

you're gonna do decide something radical to commit and act

you forward and sort of thinking more because we all can get caught up you

know I tell people you get in your head you're dead the brain is a great thing

to strategize with but there's a point what you're got to get back in your

heart and you got to push yourself on the line and do something so if you're

gonna thrive this year bring certainty to your decision-making by just putting

yourself in that state and trusting trust your Creator not just a manager of

life what do you have to do get a vision for what you want what else decide and

step for real quick act there is no such thing as a decision without action a

real decision you kind of things off and you make it happen you do something and

I've always found in my life never leave the sight of making a decision until

something that's important without doing something in that moment that commit you

to follow-through take some action in that moment because

otherwise here's what happened you get excited or something makes sense to you

you're passionate about it and you go I'm gonna go do this and then you go

home and you get caught up in emails and phone calls and other people need things

from you next thing you know you're out of state

you know follow-through hasn't happened to you before and promise you if it

hasn't it will in the future people that succeed when opportunity's there they

trust they trust if I'm going to thrive this is here in my wife for a purpose

life isn't happening to me life is happening for me even this pain

or challenge or this opportunity is something you're gonna find a way to

make yourself I need to make a decision and I need to do something right now to

move things forward in the direction of what I really want for my life even if I

don't know the final destination I need to move in that direction I need you

take some form of action most people they have all these visions maybe start

to make a little sort of decision but they don't make a real decision because

they don't act on it and if you don't act on it your ideas your dreams will

die in your mind they'll die in your lips and think about most people in

North America around the world the Western world are they truly fit strong

and healthy do they truly have a relationship that's totally passionate

do they love their work are they economically free the vast

majority you and I both know the answer is no if you want to be like most people

then what you gotta do is figure out a survive if you want to lead you got to

thrive and you have that capability and you're probably already doing I'm

probably speaking too choir to some extent if you're still

watching this right now you have turned me off as a raging maniac who's on a

rant because that's where I am I'm gonna win right now a rant to call to your

soul to say you know what our great life is take it to the next level find the

way to thrive on the very things that stop other people in the tracks thrive

on what produces fear inside you and and other people thrive on something that

you envision that you have a higher purpose for thrive by being decisive

thrive by taking massive action and if the massive action doesn't work what you

try doesn't work just simply try something else and if that doesn't work

try something else that doesn't work try something else until you find what works

now you can speed that up try modeling by finding somebody who's already

getting the results that you want to get in your life somebody already has lost

30 pounds and kept it off they aren't lucky it's been five years somebody who

started with nothing and now they're financially free and their family has an

extraordinary part of life why not figure out what they do somebody who

truly is happy not because everything's going their way because they find a

deeper meaning and a richness and everything around themselves whether it

be their children or nature or even problems because obviously if we have no

problems if you're dead inside problems can either destroy you or call you to

become more if you look at the biggest challenges in your life if you brought

certainty to it if you better vision beyond the problem if you made some

decision of what you're gonna change even if you know how and if you took

immediate action with enough intensity massive action you probably found the

cure-all you probably found a way to adapt and get where you want to be

that's what thriving is really all about but the ultimate thriving is not just

breaking through and making things happen the open thriving for this year

any year of your life is to remember the secret to living is giving it's to this

corny as that sounds it's to connect to something bigger than yourself and it

can be done so easily it can be doing right there at home instead of running

past your kids looking at your phone it's stopping connecting it's getting

kissing your spouse in a way where those sparks happen like when you're first met

instead of how you doing and moving on most of us are moving so fast trying to

manage our lives that we're not thriving thriving comes with depth you're not

gonna find thriving in a friendship that happens in milliseconds online nothing

wrong with it's great connection but a depth of a real friendship is not your

facebook friend it's not the same as being with somebody and actually having

a full attention not while you're monitoring what's going on on your cell

phone just the experience of being with somebody but contributing your caring

contributing your interest contributing you know in a simple way finding some

way to give love attention care joy or happiness to any human being it doesn't

have to be working in a soup kitchen but that could be pretty wonderful too

volunteering an hour in a month an hour and a week can change a person's life

but it can be outside world can also be really on the inside world if you want

to thrive then you got to remember life's not about me it's about we you

already know it it's in your soul you know the doesn't matter what words I say

if I'm saying something that's BS you can feel it if I'm saying something's

true you can feel at your heart and soul and the thing that's true is we're here

for more than just ourselves and we feel most alive when we're doing something

that's beyond ourselves when there's something when we think that pat by this

interaction someone's gonna feel more loved somebody's gonna feel more lifted

someone who is down is gonna get up someone's gonna know that they're cared

for or I'm gonna help somebody physically through the skills ability

talent whatever helping a stranger or helping someone you love help comes from

a place where your abundant your not scarce so the most important time the

help is when you think you need it so next time you're really feeling down

and out if you find somebody else who's much worse off because there's always

somebody there if you look around and see what you can do to help them and

watch what that does to change your entire spirit psychology and state

you'll find yourself thriving when you step into a life of meaning beyond you

and ironically life is about you too and when

in that thriving state of growing and giving in that state of certainty and

that state of a vision of what you want with a sense of purpose in that state of

decisiveness and that state of action and that state of giving oh how can you

break a loose and you're still gonna thrive oh how can you break a loose and

you're having a great time so next time you're feeling uncertain remind yourself

you're a creator of life not a manager of circumstances and I hope this little

trigger will remind you that also what'll help you have this is not just

this video that you watched here which maybe watch it it'll be helpful

maybe not it's up to you but if you get the heart of what I'm really sharing it

leads to the end understanding that we are really our lives are reflection of

our rituals you know if somebody tells me this is their dream this is their

goal I said that's a wonderful tell me your plan but more importantly let me

see your rituals and we all have rituals will they no they're not rituals equal

results if you're overweight it's because your rituals just find out what

they are and change them your rituals are to get up every morning and go to

Starbucks and have a mocha smoker or whatever the hell it is you have you

know and bunch of carbs and who everyone knows what it's not hard to figure out

your blood Sugar's gonna be dropping and you're looking for how to coffee a few

hours later that does a great life of energy that's on fire that creates a

place where you're riding the roller coaster of how much energy you have for

now there's an unlimited level of energy with a different ritual when you start

out your day doing what I call really my hour power or my 15 minutes to be

fulfilled so the three or four days a week five days a week it took five or

ten or fifteen minutes one every now and then you'll get so much momentum you'll

give yourself an hour an hour for yourself an hour to connect to what

matters most and Howard to be grateful an hour to get strong working out at

least 15 minutes I'm gonna tell you they'll frame your life in a different

level and you'll find yourself thriving so

take a look at rituals you have that don't work and what might be some new

rituals like instead of focusing what you don't have being truly grateful for

what you do have instead of focusing on what you can't control

think what you can do right now to participate in your own rescue not

waiting for someone else to do it rituals define us and so my hope is

maybe these five things to thrive can trigger you to get in a state where

you create some new rituals and they will create the habits and experiences

of the life that you desire and that you deserve so that's my rant I hope it

touched you if it didn't I apologize because my intent is pure blessings to

you and I hope I have a chance to serve and see you soon maybe at an event or

somewhere else in the world and live strong and live with passion

Ma définition de développement personnel - Duration: 4:35.

So what is personal development?

Well, for me, first it is work,

working on yourself.

It is the idea of being in movement

moving in a direction

because if we don't move or go forward in life

We are static

a bit like these guys here.

Some times in life we are at a crossroads

these interesections aren't places you want to hang around too long

sometimes you need to have a direction in your head

and be able to go forward in that direction

and that is where personal development can help.

During our voyage or journey of life

we need to stay open to the different signs life can give us

because it may help us with the direction we are going to take

To give an example of this idea of work

of movement, of direction

and progression,

I started thinking about personal development about 5 years ago

which lead me to change a lot of things in my life

I left Paris, quit my job of 17 years

to pursue a Master's Degree in Human Ressources

here!

So the question remains,

how to do it,

how to start a personal development plan?

It really helps, from time to time

to have a seat and think about our strengths and weaknesses.

Don't forget to be nice to yourself!

During this "self analysis"

it is important to remember to be kind to yourself

because always looking at your weaknesses

can be pretty negative and tiring.

There is a book I like alot

called "Now Discover Your Strengths"

because I believe we have the right to be "good"

and we have the right to be proud,

proud of ourselves and our strengths,

so have a good think about the strengths you have

and don't forget to

recharge your batteries too!

There is another term I like for personal development:

it is "personal growth".

I like this expression

because it make me think of when we are children

we are growing physically,

getting bigger and bigger

and intellectually as well.

the term "personal growth" interests me

because there is the idea that we don't stop growing,

this growth continues

inside of us

and we change.

The objective isn't that

we get bigger and BIGGER

and we CRUSH others!

So it isn't about growing vertically

it is about growing horizontally

So what does "horizontal" mean?

For me it means

to better understand my emotions

if I am able to understand

my own emotions more in depth

then I am more able to understand other peoples' emotions

so I can get along great with lots of different people

him and her

and her and him

but really it means

that I have more confidence in myself

more self esteem and self respect

and that is really important

because.........

The objective, of course,

is to be able to look in themirror

and love yourself

Ohh, looking good!

Oh yeah, I love ya!

To conclude

when I'm feeling down

stuck in a rut

or lacking direction

the two things that help the most

are action and creation

so thanks for listening to my definition of personal development

and have a great day!

Multiple quakes leave damages in Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, Japan - Duration: 0:51.

Multiple quakes struck three countries early Monday.

All of the tremor-struck nations sitting on the Asian Pacific side of the 'Ring of Fire'.

Papua New Guinea, was the most adversely affected.

A 7-point-5 magnitude quake hit about 5-hundred-60 kilometers northwest of the nation's capital

Port Moresby, creating landslides and causing buildings to collapse.

According to some local media there have been at least ten casualties...but the government

is yet to confirm the number.

At least 14 aftershocks of up to 6-point-0 magnitude have rattled the country...prompting

oil and gas firms to halt operations and residents to evacuate.

Additional tremors measuring more than 5-point-2 magnitude were also reported from Yilan County

of Taiwan and Fukushima in Japan early morning..., but no tsunami alerts have been issued.

Mild temps but bad air quality tomorrow _ 022618 - Duration: 1:53.

Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates.

Michelle, by the looks of the weather, we have a head start on spring.

Yes Daniel, the cold has let up, and it's truly feeling like spring.

But currently, there's a dry weather alert in effect, mostly in the southern provinces.

Luckily rain is on its way this week.

Also make sure to check the fine dust levels before you head out tomorrow,... especially

if you are in the central part of the country.

The dust is flowing in from the west as we speak and Seoul's air status is already at

bad.

Tomorrow morning, Seoul and most places are expected to start off at 0 degrees Celsius,

while Busan remains warm at 5 degrees.

And it'll stay warm, with Seoul rising to 8 degrees.

Gwangju and Busan both hit 15 degrees.

We are hoping the nationwide rain on Wednesday will ease the dryness.

But after the rain, the mercury is expected to drop in a big way, but it will warm up

again as we head into the weekend.

So until then, dress warmly and take care so that you don't get sick.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.

South Korea's Moon administration makes all efforts to keep Olympic-driven detente with.. - Duration: 2:51.

Seoul continues to make various efforts to keep the dialogue momentum alive.

For the second straight day, the president's key officials met with the North Korean delegation.

Our chief Cheongwadae correspondent Moon Connyoung starts us off.

The historic moment of unity that brought the two Koreas together for the first time

in years is now over.

The last two weeks of outreach have been sweet and friendly, but what happens from here on

forth is what actually matters.

The bare politics of things.

How do we make sure the Olympics-driven detente last?

The choices lay bare South Korean President Moon Jae-in's predicament... evidently on

his mind as he greeted Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy to the Olympics closing

ceremony, Vice Premier Liu Yandong at the Blue House on Monday.

"I believe it's extremely important to make sure the mood for dialogue between South and

North Korea lasts beyond the Olympic Games.

I would like to ask China for support for not only inter-Korean talks but also North

Korea, U.S. dialogue aimed at denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula."

South Korean media had been abuzz with suggestions that some kind of talks between North Korea

and the U.S. could take place while the respective delegations - U.S. led by its presidential

adviser and first daughter, Ivanka Trump and the North by a former spy chief Kim Yong-chol-

were in town.

The Ivanka-led delegation left South Korea on Monday and there has not been any word

of interaction between the Americans and the North Koreans.

The Blue House did announce, however, that President Moon's chief security adviser and

other key officials had lunch with the North Korean delegation... released a brief statement

that read "the two sides agreed to work together for permanent peace on the Korean peninsula,

sustainable relations between North and South Korea and balanced cooperation with the international

society."

Little is known at this point - whether there has been any progress in the South Korean

president's efforts to bring North Korea and the U.S. to the dialogue table... whether

there had been any interaction between the two, even if low-key, working-level... and

whether North Korea has attached preconditions for starting talks with the U.S.?

What we do know is that something is in the works behind closed doors between the two

Koreas... with the South Korean president ever mindful that he must make headway before

the Winter Paralympic Games end on March 18th... when Seoul and Washington have said their

mass military drills, which North Korea may have laid out as precondition for talks with

the U.S., will begin shortly thereafter.

N. Korea 'willing to talk' with U.S. despite Pres. Moon's mention of nuclear program - Duration: 2:28.

North Korea's Kim Yong-chol... was known to have told President Moon Jae-in the regime

is willing to talk with Washington.

What's most surprising is that the comment came despite the liberal leader's direct mention

of Pyongyang's denuclearization.

Oh Jung-hee has the full story.

We now know that North Korea repeatedly said it's willing to talk with the United States...

even though South Korea spoke directly of denuclearization.

The leader of North Korea's high-level delegation, Kim Yong-chol, met with South Korean President

Moon Jae-in on Sunday... shortly before the closing ceremony of the Olympics.

Kim said Pyongyang is willing to talk with Washington... but the initial response from

the White House was simply "we'll see," and that talks would depend on a commitment to

denuclearize.

On Monday,... it turned out... that President Moon, in his meeting with the North Korean

general, actually brought up the need for denuclearization.

President Moon is reported to have said that if North Korea halts its nuclear and missile

provocations and returns to the path of dialogue,... then the international community will cooperate

on related measures.

It's reported that the North Korean delegates listened to President Moon but showed no particular

reaction.

Sunday's meeting was the first time North Korea has openly and clearly mentioned its

willingless to sit down with the U.S.

Before and during the Olympics, Pyongyang was reluctant to speak with U.S. delegates,...

saying it wouldn't use the Olympics as a political opportunity.

And just last week, the North's state-run news agency reported... that the target of

the regime's nuclear arms is the United States.

But whether the North is really ready to discuss denuclearization with the U.S. in earnest

is still up for debate.

"Kim Yong-chol apparently did not mention the word denuclearization of nuclear weapons

yet, so we don't know whether North Korea's willingness to talk with the United States

is about nuclear weapons of North Korea,... or as it has pursued before, any talks is

possible if nuclear weapons is not the agenda of the talks with the United States."

South Korea's been keen to keep up the dialogue momentum with North Korea and eventually have

that lead to talks between Washington and Pyongyang.

But whether the North is actually willing to meet Washington's condition and discuss

its nuclear program... remains to be seen.

Oh Jung-hee, Arirang News.

DAS: Prosecutors question Lee Myung-bak's son over company ownership, suspicions of slush fund - Duration: 2:01.

Investigation into allegations surrounding former President Lee Myung-bak's connection

to DAS,... and its suspicious business activities continues.

Prosecutors looking into the ownership of the auto-parts company, and rumors of a secret

slush fund are focusing on his family members now.

Lee himself may be summoned for questioning soon.

Park Hee-jun gets us up to speed with the developments.

After concluding that DAS-- an auto parts company involved in suspicious trade and allegations

of embezzlement-- belongs to ex-president Lee Myung-bak,... prosecutors are closing

in on his family members.

On Monday morning, prosecutors raided the home and office of Lee Myung-bak's son-in-law--

Lee Sang-joo,... who is an executive at Samsung Electronics and husband to the former President's

eldest daughter.

He's suspected of receiving illegal funding from an unknown third-party on behalf of the

ex-President.

Prosecutors are likely to call him in for questioning soon so they can trace the money

flow.

And on Sunday, prosecutors summoned the former President's son Lee Si-hyung-- an executive

of DAS,... over rumors about who actually owns the company, and allegations that the

company had a secret slush fund.

During 16 hours of questioning at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on Sunday,...

Lee was asked whether he took a 930-thousand dollar portion of the 14-million dollar proceeds

from the sale of land in Dogok-dong, southern Seoul.

Lee Myung-bak is believed to have managed hundreds of thousands of dollars in slush

funds through DAS.

His son, brother, and nephew are all either representatives or board members of the company,...

which has been under scrutiny since 2007 when Lee won the presidential election.

Documents show that his brother Lee Sang-eun is the president,... however civic activists

and lawyers have been claiming the former president is the unknown, actual owner of

the company - and that he embezzled some eleven million dollars of company money and evaded

taxes.

The investigation has been ongoing since December, and prosecutors are planning to summon Lee

Myung-bak early next month.

"Yeong-mi!" S. Korea's curling 'girl group' creates sensation during the Olympics - Duration: 2:21.

With the screams "Yeong-mi" echoeing through the stadium becoming an increasingly familiar

sight, the Korean women's curling team was arguably the biggest fan favorite in this

Olympics.

Other than being nearly unbeatable, their unique style, characteristics, team chemistry

and contagious enthusiasm... clearly set the ladies apart from their competitors.

Lee Jeong-yeon gets us better acquainted with the curlers that rose from relative obscurity...

who came close to winning gold... while elevating the popularity of the once unfamiliar sport.

Korean women's curling team garnered a lot of international attention at the PyeongChang

Winter Olympics, with the foreign press coming up with nicknames such as 'Team Kim,' as all

the members' last names are 'Kim,'.... and the better-known 'Garlic Girls,'... referring

to their garlic-producing home county of Uiseong.

According to local media however, the members did not take such a liking to these nicknames

and decided to come up with their own.

They each took a name from their breakfast menu: Kim Yeong-mi came up with 'Pancake,'

Kim Seon-yeong was 'Sunny' after sunny-side-up eggs, Kim Eun-jung was known as 'Annie,' a

brand of yogurt, Kim Kyeong-ae was 'Steak,' and Kim Cho-hi, a.k.a. 'Cho cho,' after chocolate.

Another name that's going down in history is 'Yeong-mi,' one of the member's names.

'Yeong-mi,' 'Yeong-mi,' 'Yeong-mi ' The public has come with their own interpretations for

the different ways in which Kim Eun-jung yelled out this name.

'Yeong-mi' refers to 'start sweeping according to the direction of the stone's movement,'

'Yeong-mi ya~' refers to 'stop sweeping and wait,' a frantic 'Yeong-mi ya ' means 'sweep

as fast as you can,' and a repeated 'Yeong-mi, Yeong-mi, Yeong-mi' is 'you can stop sweeping

now.'

Korea saw many firsts at this year's PyeongChang Winter Olympics,... including Korea's recently

discovered prowess in curling after the women's team took the world by storm and bringing

home the silver, an unprecedented feat for an Asian team.

The team helped curling turn from what was one of the most unfamiliar games for Koreans

at the beginning of the Olympics,... into a head-turner for the nation.

Now with peaked interest in the discipline thanks to the astonishing performance of Annie,

Pancake, Sunny, Steak and Cho Cho, the world is already expecting to see more milestones

set by this incredible team four years down the road.

South Korea praised for hosting successful PyeongChang Winter Olympics - Duration: 3:13.

Various issues and concerns arose ahead of... and during the 17-day-long sporting event.

But before you knew it, we were consumed by the heat of the thrilling competition and

dazzling display of skills and Olympic spirit... and it drew to a close.

While the general consenus is that the Pyongchang games was a huge success, our Lee Ji-won went

to hear directly from those who were closer to the action.

From tears of joy, sighs of disappointment to exhilarating excitement.

The past 17 days of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics were packed with incident and raw

emotions.

Now that the event is over, many are looking back at their February in South Korea's alpine

town of Pyeongchang and the sub-host city of Gangneung.

Many commented on how it was a huge success.

"I have been to 16 Olympics, winter and summer, and I thought this was one of the best ones

I've been to in terms of organization, logistics, the quality of the infrastructure.

You want to be as easy as possible to move around and to enjoy the games."

The friendliness of the locals and volunteers was also praised.

"We've been really impressed by how nice all the locals have been to us, especially patient,

because we don't speak any Korean, and even with the very wide language barrier everyone's

been really accommodating."

Of the many highlights was North Korea's participation in the Games.

While the decision and process was initially controversial, people say these exchanges

prove the Olympics is more than just a sporting event.

"Not just bold, but I think it's sent a message to the world and there's really only one place

that could do that and that is here in South Korea and here in Pyeongchang.

A lot of people say that's politics hijacking the games, no actually, this is a not a story

about politics, this is a story about people."

The bone-chilling temperatures during the Games was a major concern and it caused a

number of snow events to be postponed.

But journalists who've covered numerous Winter Olympics say cold is not a problem for winter

sports.

"Olympics are so big, there are always going to be issues.

In terms of the weather, it was very cold the first week, but in a way, this is the

Winter Olympics, they are supposed to be cold."

Visitors also suggested room for improvements.

"I think they should've taught English to most of the work force because I don't speak

Korean and as a foreigner it was hard for me to get information."

"It wasn't that expensive to book a place to stay, but I came here to watch numerous

events on different days... and there weren't many vacancies."

With the general consensus that the PyeongChang Olympics were a success, many visitors said

one of the best legacies of the Games is that South Korea "took a step forward in presenting

itself" to the world and the world got to know Korea better as well.

President Moon Jae-in joins growing MeToo movement in South Korea - Duration: 0:51.

President Moon Jae-in joined in the growing number of supporters of the nation's "MeToo"

pledging to use all available means to make sure sexual harrassment can no longer find

a place in Korea.

In a weekly meeting of his top aides on Monday... the liberal leader expressed respect to the
