What will the White House do what won't they do I want to read a little bit of what Don McGann's letter White House?

He says the DOJ has identified portions of the February 5th memo the disclosure of which it believes would create especially
significant concerns for the national security and law enforcement interests
Although the president is inclined to declassify the memo he's unable to do so at this time they went on to offer saying
We've instructed the Justice Department to work with the committee. Can you read off the letter and send it back to us?
Right this memo the Democratic memo has become sort of a Rorschach test you see what you want to see
Democrats see the White House potentially withholding this memo for political reasons to try to suppress countervailing evidence
That might contradict what the noonas memo claimed last week
Republicans see Democrats may be trying to include an
Unnecessary amount of classified information in order to provoke this kind of response from the White House
So they can claim that the White House is potentially trying to suppress it for political reasons
So there's a lot of back-and-forth going on it's not entirely clear
What's happening with the memo the White House has been clear from day one that their position?
Supports full transparency and that they want this memo to be released as long as it doesn't compromise sources and methods all right
Here's what trey Gowdy who was one of the drafters of the GOP memo. Here's what he said about the Democrats memo
Democrats are
politically smart enough
To put things in the memo that require either the bureau or the Department of Justice to say it needs to be redact therefore
It creates this belief that there's something being hidden from the American people okay and like clockwork tonight
We get from the Senate Minority Leader
Chuck Schumer saying this he says the rationale for releasing the núñez memo
transparency
Vanishes when a could show information that's harmful to him millions of Americans are asking one simple question
What's he hiding, so we knew that was gonna be the PlayBook everybody predicted it ahead of time
But Don McGann's letter makes very clear that it's the DOJ
Who's objecting not the White House right and I think Democrats are facing their argument on the fact that the DOJ?
Also objected to the release of the núñez memo and the White House more or less overrode those concerns to get the memo released in
the name of transparency
And they're not doing that in this case so the question does become
what kind of information is in the Democratic memo that is suddenly worth considering the do Jay's objections about and
Democrats would love. Nothing more for a memo to be released
That's full of redaction so that the American people are wondering what's behind those black bars. Even if it's something. That's so
Wildly sensitive that there's no reason to include it in the memo. We just don't know and so potentially
This is all playing out in Democrats favor right now
We don't know how the memo was crafted or if it was crafted to
Create this kind of response well we also heard from the committee chair
Devon Nunez tonight saying I warned that the memo the Democrats man memo contained all kinds of sources and methods
You know and so it's not surprising tonight that it comes back this way and apparently the DOJ has provided
materials that go line by line
With what their objections are the White House says we want the committee the Democrats to sit down with DOJ and resolve those issues
So we can get it released as soon as possible
So do you think it works from them for them from a PR standpoint to say look?
We're trying to facilitate this thing we want to get it out as quickly as possible
Or do you think all of these releases from the Democrats saying see we told you they were never gonna?
Let us have it they were never gonna let you see it who wins that PR war I?
Think the Democrats from day one have been angling to make this kind of argument
I mean you remember that when the objections were raised about contents in the Nunez memo
Things in the document were changed before it went to the White House and Democrats
Raised objections to that saying Nunez has altered the memo unnecessarily it needs to come back to the committee for a vote
This is a deviation from the normal process and eventually the memo came out anyway
But they were not happy about the way the process worked in that case now it seems that
the publication of their memo is going to take sort of the same trajectory and
Now they're mad at the White House for doing sort of the same thing that happened with the Nunez memo
I think that there was no way that this process was going to go to their satisfaction well nothing like a little Friday night news
Especially if something that you know you're gonna have to manage a little bit publicly, so we'll see where we go from here Sarai

So what's in the 650 two-page agreement has anyone read its?
Correspondent Lauren Blanchard joins us now with a look at where some of your tax dollars are gonna
be going good evening Lauren good evening Shannon the two-year deal crafted by Republican and
Democratic senators keeps the lights on for the federal government for six more weeks while they craft a longer spending bill
Let's break down some of where this money will be going six billion dollars to fight the opioid epidemic and fun mental health initiatives
extending the Children's Health Insurance Program from six years to ten years it has 80 billion for
disaster relief for areas hit by the hurricanes and wildfires
Plus it lifts military spending caps for the next two years
Defense Hawks are happy about this bill because there's a 10 percent jump in military spending that works out to about
700 billion dollars for national defense and war spending in 2018 and
716 billion in 2019 plus about 4 billion dollars over the next two years to help reduce the Veterans Affairs
healthcare backlog
domestically it gives a 10% increase in funding some Democrats are hailing it as
Historic that 60 billion more this year for programs like child care college affordability
Increased funding for community health centers even more in 2019 20 billion dollars over the next two years for new
infrastructure investments like water broadband energy and transportation and
improvements it waives the national debt ceiling for a year and extends expiring tax breaks for individuals and
businesses however
There is no fix for the daca program in the bill and the hundreds of thousands of immigrants known as dreamers the daca program
expires on March 5th unless Congress comes up with a bill
Fiscal conservatives have balked at this budget because of the enormous increase in federal spending
With few ways to offset it and for lawmakers just signing this bill
Isn't the end it sets out the broad budget numbers for the next two years
Now congressional appropriators need to write a detailed bill by March 23rd

Shortly after topping Chinese reality singing contest Singer 2018, Filipina singer KZ Tandingan shared why her fellow contestant Jessie J hugged her, as seen in a viral Instagram post.
In a video posted on her Facebook page, Tandingan shared her full meeting with Jessie J before this weeks competition.
"I can't believe I'm talking to you!" an excited and emotional Tandingan told Jessie J when the latter walked into the room.
Jessie J then told her:"I'm not a competitor, I'm just your friend.
To this, Tandingan, who was still incredulous at the encounter minutes into their chat, replied: Who would compete with you?.
The Filipina singer then told the British star how she had inspired her to sing again.
"To be honest, when I saw her (Jessie J), I couldn't breathe.
When I was in high school, I almost stopped singing because I couldn't reach the high notes anymore because I had a polyp in my vocal cords.
And then, I heard you, and then I realized, 'Oh, I didn't have to hit those high notes to make a difference and sing, so I started singing again," Tandingan told Jessie J.
The 25-year-old The X Factor Philippines winner then started to tear up as she expressed her admiration for Jessie J.
"Who I am as an artist now, a big chunk of that is because of you," she said.
Jessie J, who seemed touched by Tandingans story, was so moved she gave the Filipina singer a tight hug.
The English singer then shared a piece of advice to Tandingan.
The perception of what you are to other people can never ever be what you are to yourself, Jessie J said.
The meeting ended with giggles between the two.
Youre so small!, Jessie J said with a laugh at petite Tandingan, who stood to the British singers shoulders.
To this, Tandingan replied: Yeah and Im wearing heels already!.
The two will return to the show next week for another round of performances.

N. Korea's Kim Jong-un invites S. Korean president to Pyongyang in rare Blue House luncheon - Duration: 2:35.
Forty days ago... such scene would have been unimaginable: A member of North Korea's ruling
Kim family sitting across the South Korean president at the presidential Blue House in
Seoul.
What's more: She's relayed her brother's offer to have President Moon in the North.
Our chief Blue House correspondent Moon Connyoung reports.
Olympics detente into meaningful progress... is what South Korean president Moon Jae-in
was hoping for when he invited the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un
to the presidential Blue House on Saturday.
What he got... was the North Korean leader's invite to visit Pyongyang... relayed by his
only sister and trusted adviser... and we've learned today, his special adviser, Kim Yo-jong.
"As special envoy Kim Yo-jong delivered a letter from the North's Chairman of the State
Affairs Commission, Kim Jong-un... she verbally relayed Mr. Kim's invitation for President
Moon to visit North Korea at a convenient saying he is willing to meet with President
Moon at the earliest date possible."
The Blue House spokesperson said President Moon responded to the invitation by suggesting
the two sides should accomplish this by creating the right conditions... adding that talks
between North Korea and the United States were also needed, and requested that North
Korea be more active in talking with the U.S.
The South Korean leader has repeatedly said in the past that he is willing to meet with
the North's Kim Jong-un anytime, anywhere if he is reasonably sure that such a meeting
would help ease tensions and end the crisis over the North's nuclear weapons and missile
development program.
The Blue House luncheon follows a brief encounter between the two parties at the Olympic Opening
Ceremony... in which President Moon twice shook hands with the North's Kim Yo-jong.
The apparent thaw has not been reflected in Washington, however.
In an interview with NBC Nightly News, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said Washington
will continue to put all the pressure to bear on North Korea... economically and diplomatically,
while preserving all of its military options to see that that happens.
"The power players in this region will be back at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics later
this evening.
South Korea's Moon will be at the ice arena to cheer for the South Korean short track
speed skaters... while the U.S.' Pence cheer on the U.S. skaters... and then move over
to the ice rink to attend the combined Korea women's ice hockey match together with the
top guests from the North.
Will we see more drama unfold... not only in sports, but in politics and diplomacy as
well... on this last evening in South Korea for both the North Koreans and the Americans?

Pence did not purposefully avoid North Korean delegation: White House - Duration: 1:39.
U.S. Vice President Mike Pence found himself in the same room with North Korean officials
on Friday evening, at a diplomatic reception ahead of the opening ceremony for the PyeongChang
Winter Olympics.
But he seemed to go out of his way to try avoid them.
The White House later explained it was not meant to be an intentional snub.
Our Ji Myung-kil has more.
White House officials who briefed the traveling press pool on the vice president's flight
from PyeongChang back to Seoul insisted Pence had not avoided the North Korean delegation
on purpose.
They said he did not interact with the North Koreans because they were not seated near
the area where he was greeting others.
His aides added that Pence left after five minutes... as he had a separate dinner with
U.S. athletes,... stressing that his brief appearance at the reception was not a boycott.
The U.S. officials said the lack of interest in interaction between Pence and the North
Korean delegation at Friday's events was mutual and that both sides rebuffed efforts by South
Korean officials to set up a meeting.
At the reception,... UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres did meet with North Korea's
ceremonial head of state Kim Yong-nam whom he urged to engage in dialogue to end the
nuclear crisis.
Guterres reiterated his expectations and hope that all parties use dialogue to achieve a
peaceful denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
His brief exchange with Kim Yong-nam was the highest-level meeting between the UN chief
and North Korea.

In just three days, TWICE has broken its own record for first-week sales by a K-pop girl group in Japan!. Three days after its release on February 7, TWICEs new Japanese single Candy Pop has sold over 210,000 copies.
The single has already managed to break the previous record for first-week sales of a Japanese release by a K-pop girl group, which was set by TWICEs first Japanese single One More Time.. Soompi. Display. News. English. 300x250. Mobile. English. 300x250. ATF.
Candy Pop also set a new record for the highest sales of any K-pop girl group in Japan on the day of its release.
As TWICE spends its third consecutive day at the top of the Oricon daily chart, many industry observers speculate that Candy Pop, the groups fastest-selling Japanese release yet, will become its third release to go platinum in Japan.
Last year, TWICE became the first Korean artist to receive platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for both its first Japanese album and its first Japanese single.
