Thank you for giving me just a moment of your attention.

We're working on this topic of "Overcoming Fear."

Now, fear is universal.

None of us gets through life without being

afraid – nobody does.

There's a wonderful passage, or at least an

interesting passage, in 1 Kings, chapter 17.

It's about the Prophet Elijah.

There's a famine in the nation of Israel.

Everybody's hungry.

They're at the end of three years of drought,

and God sends Elijah to a specific village

to a specific home.

It happens to be the home of a widow, and

the instruction that Elijah goes with is this

widow who has very little is to feed him first.

It feels - it's not only bizarre; it feels

mean when you read the story.

But through the story, God's provision for

both Elijah and the widow and her family is

made clear.

Well, the part that intrigues me is the significance

of you and I knowing what God said to us.

So often, we want God's provision in our life:

"God, help me."

"God, get me out of this mess."

"God, meet the need that I have."

"God, give me...something."

But in order to receive God's provision, we

have to be willing to meet God's requirements.

We can't demand that God give us what we want

if we don't care about being obedient to God.

Elijah had to follow God's instructions, even

though they were awkward.

You be obedient to the truth you know, and

God's provision will fill your life.

I've seen it over and over again.

You can trust it.

I'm praying for you.

- who is by far the preferred choice, being the biggest mainstream name and having his

WrestleMania 31 angle with Rousey, Stephanie and Trips as context.

But his busy movie schedule and insurance policies will likely prevent him from competing.

Shane McMahon and Kurt Angle are being considered, given how Triple H turned on both men at Survivor

Series - but Shane is currently involved in a longterm storyline with Daniel Bryan, Kevin

Owens and Sami Zayn.

The other name up for the role is Seth Rollins, probably because of his history with The Authority,

and the fact all his planned Mania feuds have been scrapped in recent months because of

various injuries.

Renovation of antique bed - before and after - Duration: 10:40.

In this video I'm going to show You

renovation process of an antique bed

this bed was bought by my wife

for almost no money because

it was very very cheap

this bed is not looking very good

but I ensure You it is in a pretty good condition for a renovation proces

and You will see this later on in this video

as You can see there are many scratches all over the bed

there are also many places where the color is inconsistent

And I think that somebody tried to renovate this bed before me

it is because I found more than two types of a laquer on a bed

exactly three types of the laquer

And there is also one important thing in this bed

it is not made from a solid wood

but this is just only pine wood only covered with several types of the veneer

and it worries me a little because I have to be vaery careful

to not sand through the veneer

i don't have such the veneer which I can replace the broken one

so.. I disasembled all bed into the smaller parts

and then after cleanning them..

i decided to start my work from the easiest part from the bed sides

the first step in renovation proces is to remove old, bad layers of laquer and stain

in case of this bed sides i decided to use a belt sander

but it is not the best tool for that

I'm using it only because the laquer is very thick and hard

and I want it to be removed very quickly

before my work I double checked that the veneer is thick enough

to hold this type of the power tool

Important thing during the work with belt sander is..

..to work not acros the grain but along with it

after removing a hard laquer I'm using a rotary sander

with the andpapers from 120 up to 300 of grit

to make the very smooth surface and to remove the stain from it

not it's time for a more complicated part

it is a front of the bed

and I chosed it for the video to show You all tool I'm using in renovation process

as You can see I'm using hands for a fancy decors

and I'm also using a rotary sander for a flat surface

now I want to show You something cool for a renovation of samll and fancy decors

this device it is a rotary sander but with the special part on a top of it

which allows me to clean the corners of the bad

to clean the decors

it is a really helpfull device but not good for bigger parts

now it's time for the frist most satysfying moment in renovation process

after cleaning the part with a sandpaper..

..You have to remove the dust and I'm doing it with a wet cloth

and as You cans ee, only the cloth with a water

reveals how beautiful the furniture will be when I end it

now it's time for a broken veneer

I don't have exact the same veneer as used in this bed

so I decided to remove the veneer and leave the pine

and cover it with a stain to make it look like the other parts of the bed

and yes, i agree,t his is a shortcut, but You will see that the effect will be pretty awesome

I wanted to show You one more thing connected to the sanding

this is a part of bed which is pretty long

and I'm cleaning it not by hand, but using a rotary sander

of course I'm still using my hands for cleaning those fancy edges

before staining the bad I'm killing all the bugs

by putting the poison in every wormhole in this bed

I'm leaving this wormholes to be visible I'm not using any putty to cover them

because I like it that way but of course You can use a putty and than sand with a fine sandpaper

now it's time for a staining the second satysfying part of the renovation process

I'm using a stain based on oil, but it's not an oil paint

it is STAIN based on oil

it easy pretty easy to apply it won't dry too fast, so You can correct Your mistakes

I'm using a brush and with this kind of stain it won't leave my ugly smudges

If You are beginer I strongly recomend You to use this kind of a stain

After the two layers of stain it's now time for a final coat

I mean a laquer and I'm using an acrylic one

it is because it is very good to use for a furniture

this kind of laquer doesn't leave the smudges when applying with the brush

it is also non toxic, certified for use even for children toys

and it dries very fast and not stink like the other laquers

bed which I'm renovating is pretty old so in fact it is just a frame for a mattrrece

so now I'm making bottom which will hold the matterace

now it's time for a third most satysfying moment in renovation

it is assembling all parts toghether and watching the effects of Your work

and as You can see I have a little helper in this part

because the bed will be used so I want make it stronger

and I'm using a wood glue to connect some of it's parts

This is the final result of my renovation and I must say that I'm pretty proud of it

do You remember it ? it was my shortcut

and now You can see that it's hard to spot the difference between

between this parts with an oaken veneer and this with just pine

Paths Through Science: Drew Feustel, Geophysicist and Astronaut - Duration: 3:21.

My name is Andrew Feustel. I work at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, and I'm a NASA astronaut.

I discovered I was interested in geosciences while I

was attending community college in Detroit, Michigan, Oakland Community College,

and at the time, I was working as a mechanic

at an auto restoration shop, three years of Community College

to attain an associate science degree with a

major in science and a minor in industrial design. So, at that point, I

was going to make a choice between automotive design or science, and I chose

science as a career path, and then applied to Purdue University. Three years

there to finish my bachelor's degree with the credits that I had transferred,

and then I remained there to complete my master's in rock physics and geophysics,

specializing in rock physics. Then, I went on to Queen's University in

Kingston, Ontario, where I spent four years obtaining my Ph.D. with a specialty

in seismology. I got interested in geosciences and just really enjoyed the

opportunities to travel locally, and even regionally, for the geoscience degree, and

it was just something that captured my interest and I found out I was good at

it—like, I enjoyed it and I did well in the classes so it was a natural pursuit

for me. So when I came to Houston to work for Exxon, I recognized that the Johnson

Space Center was here, and I applied, like everybody else does, every two to five

years and was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with the

right competition and the right qualifications to be a successful

candidate. So that's how it all worked out, it was a simple application and me

just pursuing a goal that maybe

subconsciously led me to this place. Geoscientists, I think, make really good

astronauts because of the skillset that they bring to the work. As a

geoscientist you spend a lot of time studying three-dimensional structures

and imagining those structures in your mind and understanding those, and that's

really critical for the things that we do,

not only in aviation but in spaceflight and working out on spacewalks. Those

types of skills, that spatial recognition and awareness, is really critical and

that is one of the, I think, great things that have helped me a lot with my career

as an astronaut. I wish I had always believed the cliche that anything is

possible because I say it so much now to kids and you know students, young kids,

even other adults who are thinking about other opportunities. If someone like me

can make it here after high school and community college and working as a

Mechanic, then anybody can reach any goal that they set for themselves. They just

have to stay focused and really keep their eye on the prize, but anything is

possible.

Hello, there. I'm particularly excited about this video

because it was written for me by a former speechwriter for the British government,

so obviously it's going to be a lot better than usual.

So, let's get going.

Now, let me be perfectly clear about this:

this is a YouTube video.

I have been quite clear that this is to be a YouTube video,

and it is my policy to make it a YouTube video for the many, not the few.

A strong and stable YouTube video,

that will secure a future for our children and our children's children.

Let there be no mistake:

I aim to deliver a YouTube video that is both visual and on YouTube.

Now, some of you may be asking what is to be in this video.

And that is a very good question,

because, of course, I recognize that content is very important.

For too long, we have had to make do with videos without content,

and so I have decided to take steps to rectify this.

I fully recognize that you, the great viewing public, demand good content,

and I believe that you have the right to expect it.

And that is why I am making a strong and stable YouTube video for the many, not the few.

I want to be quite clear on this:

it is my intention to deliver the best content possible,

the content that you want and deserve.

And I can assure all my subscribers and viewers

that I will leave no stone unturned in the search for good content.

I believe that my viewers deserve the best,

and I will deliver the best:

a strong and stable YouTube video; a video for the many, not the few.

And so I have set up a working group to look into different options for content,

and I will be selecting the best content

to enable me to deliver a strong and stable YouTube video

for the many, not the few.

Of course, there are some technical challenges ahead,

but I am confident that we will overcome them

to deliver a strong and stable YouTube video

which will be available to everyone on YouTube.

This may take some time, but as the old adage has it:

Roma uno die non est condita.

not like the videos of chaos by the oppos— by other YouTubers.

I can promise you this:

I will not be doing let's plays, stupid pranks or conspiracy theories.

that will stand as a monument to the ingenuity of the men and women

working tirelessly behind the scenes on your behalf

to produce a strong and stable YouTube video for the many, not the few.

And to those naysayers who claim that my video will be empty of content,

let me just say this:

I have been working tirelessly to create a content-filled video

that will delight and amuse the many, not the few.

Indeed, I will be taking back control of my video

and formulating my own content

without being dictated to by nameless producers in Brussels.

I will be free to create my own strong and stable YouTube video for the many, not the few.

Thousands of ordinary decent men, women and children

deserve access to a great video

with good, honest, British content,

and that is what I will be delivering.
