TRAILS AND SHADOWS

IMPORTANT: all contrails must be DIFFERENT in: LENGTH, THICKNESS, COLOR AND TONE ...

... concentrated and determined ....

... but in fluency and fun ....

The shadows must be less precise and then use the pony brush

I use the brush almost flat over the paper and quickly ....

to exploit the grain of the sheet itself to create a bit of texture

The shadow in the foreground must be dark ...

... do not hesitate to use color ...

... because as long as it is wet it can be changed easily

I add a bit of Payne Gray

We recommend watching the video with similar aspects "Scie nella neve ..." suggested in the card

Work the shade at will ...

... removing the color with moistened paper ...

... to get a soft effect

Or remove the color with the nails or with the tip of a knife ...

... to add further trails

Crimson Lake Mix ...

... and give a warmer touch to counterbalance the cold pitch of the whole

But be careful, not everywhere, though!

Strengthening the trees in the background ...

... with burnt Sienna and burnt Umber

... and some Cerulean (light) trail in the dark areas in the shade

... a few branches that come up with the Burnt Umber ...

I remove the adhesive paper from the edges of the paper ...

... for a cleaner result

I use the first but very diluted mix

Join the previously painted masses coarsely following the model

You do not need to be too detailed: it's just one background!

We need more fluency than precision!

TREES

Use the fan brush

Mix of Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna and a touch of Primary Blue

For the execution of the trees it can affect the video of the card

Give three-dimensionality with darker tones ...

and also a touch of dark ultramarine blue
