This is the most calligraphic part ...

Use Primary Blue...

mixed with little color on the palette to make it a little more gray ...

... it is important to obtain a sufficiently diluted mixture

Draw some elongated "S" alternating with some random continuity stretches

... dwell under the trees ...

IMPORTANT: all contrails must be DIFFERENT in: LENGTH, THICKNESS, COLOR AND TONE ...

... also try to distribute them in a "creative" way

Take your time ...

... concentrated and determined ....

... but in fluency and fun ....

The shadows must be less precise and then use the pony brush

I use the brush almost flat over the paper and quickly ....

to exploit the grain of the sheet itself to create a bit of texture

The shadow in the foreground must be dark ...

... do not hesitate to use color ...

... because as long as it is wet it can be changed easily

I add a bit of Payne Gray

We recommend watching the video with similar aspects "Scie nella neve ..." suggested in the card

Work the shade at will ...

 Manchester United coach Phelan is currently in his second spell at Old Trafford, helping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer steady the ship following the dark days of Jose Mourinho

 Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is becoming increasingly comfortable in his role

 When he ascended to the throne in January 2014 he was nervous, awkward, like he didn't belong, but now he carries himself with more conviction and even a sense of swagger

  But there is one issue which makes him sweat. Bartomeu splashed a club record fee of £142 million on Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho, and it's looking like a losing bet

 "We will not listen to offers for him," said Bartomeu in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena COPE this week

"He's a young player, with great potential and we expect a lot from him."  That the question was even asked shows Coutinho is failing at the Nou Camp

When he was signed in January 2018 it was to become the successor to Andres Iniesta

 Barca coach Ernesto Valverde doesn't trust the Brazilian enough to play him in midfield and instead deploys him on the left flank, where he is struggling to find form

 While Bartomeu and Valverde have defended Coutinho to the hilt publicly, if they can recoup even 75 per cent of their outlay on him, the playmaker could leave in the summer

  Bartomeu believes Valverde will extend his contract and stay at Barcelona for another season, which could equate to another wasted year for Coutinho, whose confidence levels are on the floor already

 The coach prefers pass master Arthur for the third midfield slot alongside Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic, or even the hustle and bustle of Arturo Vidal for when Barcelona need a dash of chaos thrown into the mix

 Coutinho is too ponderous, no longer capable of operating from muscle memory.  When he first arrived, before getting to know Barcelona's system and methodology, he played as he knew, reflexively

 That seemed to work. The Brazilian hit 10 goals in his debut campaign, including in the Copa del Rey final against Sevilla, and was a constant menace with his shooting from distance

 But bit by bit the Brazilian seems to have been overwhelmed by the task at hand

While the first few weeks passed like a blur and Coutinho's instinct saw him hit the ground running, now time moves slowly for him

 Every match feels like an eternity, an eternity in which nothing goes right.  Each time Coutinho gets the ball he is crowded out by defenders and, low on confidence, he doesn't back himself to pull off a trick to escape

 Instead he passes the ball backwards, keeping possession but failing to break through the defensive lines, which is his duty

It should be more than that - his raison d'être.  Coutinho seems afraid to shoot so much too, with his last goal in La Liga from open play coming back on October 28

 With Ousmane Dembele returning from injury if not this weekend then next, Valverde will have to drop Coutinho from the side

 The Frenchman, who went through his own time in a black hole at Barca, has been in electric form this season and deserves his place back in the line-up

 But in Dembele, Coutinho can find an example of how quickly things can turn around, football's fickle nature

 It takes little more than three or four good performances for the past to be buried

 Unlike Dembele his off-the-pitch behaviour has been exquisite too, earning him support from the dressing room

Coutinho lives in Castelldefels and is friends with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, which may buy him more time than other players are afforded

 Barcelona have a string of crucial, season-defining games coming at them.  Away trips to the San Mames and the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan to face Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla

 The double Clasico in Madrid at the end of the month, with the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg followed by a league clash at the Santiago Bernabeu

 And the return of the Champions League, which is the club's big dream this season, with a double header against an exciting Lyon side

  If Coutinho can help Barcelona end Real Madrid 's dominance in Europe's biggest competition, his trespasses will surely be forgiven

 And with Arthur suffering an untimely hamstring injury on Friday which will keep him out for the next month, the door is open for Coutinho to try and claim the midfield spot which was his intended destination all along

 Known as a 'nice boy', maybe it's time for him to get nasty, to demand Valverde gives him a chance in the central three

And if that happens, not to be pushed around by opponents who see him as weak.  When Coutinho arrived at Barcelona he said it was a dream come true

It's time for him to wake up or move along.

With very diluted color I remove white parts of the background ...

But be careful, not everywhere, though!

... leave some shimmery here and there

Strengthening the trees in the background ...

... with burnt Sienna and burnt Umber

... and some Cerulean (light) trail in the dark areas in the shade

... a few branches that come up with the Burnt Umber ...

I remove the adhesive paper from the edges of the paper ...

I use the synthetic brush because it allows me more detailed traits

However, it is not important to be too precise, rather than to be loose and have fun ...

... because the spots will gather and soften later

We may also make any changes later

I use the pony brush because it is soft and does not remove the previously given color

I use the first but very diluted mix

Join the previously painted masses coarsely following the model

You do not need to be too detailed: it's just one background!

We need more fluency than precision!

Be free and have fun!

TREES

Use the fan brush

Mix of Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna and a touch of Primary Blue

For the execution of the trees it can affect the video of the card

Give three-dimensionality with darker tones ...

... this is why I add Payne Gray to the mixture I'm using

and also a touch of dark ultramarine blue
