this model we need two colors we need the red and white these are small 3d origami pieces you

you will obtain 64 pieces like this from an A4 piece of paper

DIY Valentine Cards - How to Make Animal Crossing Cards | @laurenfairwx - Duration: 8:08.

Lately, I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.

Give me a thumbs up if you are too!

I've been a huge fan of Animal Crossing games since the Gamecube version and was super excited when they finally

came out with a mobile game.

They've also been doing so many in-game events and adding new content all the time and it's just

totally my kind of game.

So to continue my series of cute and nerdy DIY Valentines, naturally I decided to go

with an Animal Crossing theme for this year's cards.

There's Isabelle holding a heart and there's a peach, and I even made a brown paper item bag with a

bear on it.

In the video description below, I listed all of the materials you'll need including the variety

of cardstock colors I recommend.

Though, feel free to use whatever paper you have around and get creative with them if

you want to.

And the pdf template I designed is free so you can just get started and have fun making

a bunch of these to give away to all of your friends! I can't wait to get started!

Print out the free templates, which I linked to in the video description below.

The first page is for Isabelle and the second page is split between the peach and the item

bag with a bear on it.

Start by cutting out all of the shapes.

For the bear shape which has pieces you'll need to remove from the inside, carefully

cut those out with a craft knife before you cut out the whole shape.

Here I have all of the patterns cut out and the cardstock colors I'm using.

Flip over each shape and trace it onto the back of the cardstock color marked on the pattern.

If a piece says x2 on it, cut out two of that shape but flip the second one over so you

get a mirror image.

This will keep the pencil marks from showing on the front.

Then, cut each of the pieces out!

Be sure to follow the same process as you did earlier with the craft knife on that bear piece.

Once all of your cardstock pieces are ready in their various colors, we can start assembling them!

Here's how to make the adorable and hardworking Isabelle.

Using Isabelle's head template as a guide for where to place things, we'll be putting

the hair shape right at the top of her face.

To make these cards three-dimensional, I'll be using this foam mounting adhesive, so pick

up a few of those shapes and arrange them on the back of her hair.

Peel off the paper from the tops of the foam shapes, then press the hair down onto the

head shape just like this.

The next shape we'll be adding is the snout!

Add your foam adhesive to the back of that and press it down the same way, lining it

up with the bottom of her face this time.

I'll be attaching all of the tiny details using a glue stick, starting with her red

hair tie which goes right here.

Then add her little nose near the top of the snout, the two eyelids on either side, remembering

that they should be mirror images of one another, the eyelashes which overlap the bottom edges

of the eyelids, then the tiny pink cheeks.

To finish up her face, draw her smile in any expression you'd like with a black pen.

Now that the most detailed part is done, grab the white base and the heart shape!

Flip over her head and add the foam mounting adhesive to the back of it, then peel up the

backing paper and line up the head shape with the top of the base.

Press down to make sure they stick.

Attach the arm pieces onto the sides of the heart shape however you'd like to!

I used a foam shape on the outer half and the gluestick on the inner half so she's

touching the heart but it still has a partially 3D effect.

You don't have to get that involved with it if you don't want to.

Then, stick a bunch of foam shapes onto the back of the heart before pressing that down

over the bottom section of the base.

And there's our Isabelle valentine!

This is definitely the most involved of the three, but she's such a cute character that

I decided to go for it anyway.

Write your message onto the heart and we can move onto the next design!

Which is a peach!

I knew I wanted to make one of the many items you can find in the Animal Crossing games

and I thought this would be the cutest for a Valentine's Day card.

It's also very quick to put together!

Glue the yellow shape onto the bottom of the peach, lining up the outer edges.

Now, the peach is going to fit onto the green shape with the round edges lining up and the

leaves sticking out at the bottom.

Add a bunch of the foam mounting shapes to the back of the peach, peel the backing paper

off of each one, and press it into place.

And there you go!

I actually marked that you should use a more peachy color for this, but pink is the closest that

I had, so that's a good example of how you can substitute whichever color you'd like!

Now the last card is actually a tiny gift bag just like the brown paper item bag in

the games!

I think this is so cute with the little bear.

Feel free to just use a small brown paper bag, but I didn't have one, so here's

how I made one!

I learned how to do it from another tutorial, which I will link to in the description in

case you're having trouble.

Take piece of kraft paper, mine's 8.5x11", and add glue along one of the shorter edges.

Press the glued edge onto the edge on the opposite side, so they're meeting in the

middle and it makes kind of a tube.

Feel free to use a little tape on the inside if you need it.

Once that's dry, secure, and not sticking to the inside of the bag, flatten it down

with the seam in the center and crease the folds on either side using a bone folder.

Then, fold in one of the longer sides around three quarters of an inch and press it down.

Do the same measurement and fold on the other side to match, then open them back up.

Now! Lift up what will be the bottom of the bag and fold it straight up about two inches,

lining the sides up with the edges of the bag.

Crease that as well, then pop just that bottom section open.

Then, flatten the open section with this origami move I don't know exactly how to describe,

but you should be pressing the left and right sides down to make triangle shapes like this.

So remember those folds we did on the sides earlier?

Fold them up again and use them to add creases on the tips of those triangles like this.

Then, use that new crease as a guide for this next part - fold the bottom edge up so each

corner of the fold touches the new creases we just made on the sides.

Do the exact same thing for the opposite flap.

See how the corners touch this crease? Just like that. Okay. Cool.

Next, we're going to glue those two flaps down to the place where we just folded them.

For the first flap, stick to gluing just the triangle sections - I actually used too much

glue here and ended up needing to tape up the inside of the bag to cover the sticky part!

It turned out okay in the end, but I figured I'd save you the trouble - especially if

you're using hot glue or something else that dries faster than a glue stick.

Now you can open up your paper bag!

Just kind of carefully pop everything into place at the bottom, fold the sides in so

the crease is now on the inside, and there we go!

The bag in the game is rolled up at the top, so fold that part back twice for now.

Then, grab the bear shape and use your gluestick to paste it onto the front of the bag!

Put your hand into the bag to help press it down while it dries.

All that's left is to glue the little nose right here at the top of his snout!

Fill the bag with some treats and small cards, then roll up the top and tape it closed.

And this is what it looks like when it's finished!

I am so happy with the way these three Valentines turned out.

I really should make projects like this more often because they aren't too difficult

to make and they're just so cute and colorful!

They'd make a lovely handmade gift for any Animal Crossing fans in your life this Valentine's

Day, or really any occasion where you want to make a card that you just can't buy in

a store.

How to Parallel Park with Cones | Step by Step Instructions - Duration: 13:00.

Hi there smart drivers. Rick with Smart Drive Test talking to you today about

parallel parking for the purposes of passing a road test. And how to parallel

park between cones. So stick around, we'll be right back with that information.

Hi there smart drivers, welcome back. Rick with Smart Drive Test talking to you today

about parallel parking between cones. I had a comment from nikelnichol. I also

had a comment from Nicolas Mazer and both of those smart drivers wanted me to

do a video on how to park between cones for the purposes of passing a road test.

About a year ago, I also had requests from WorstNightmare666 who also

wanted me to do this. And I should have done this a lot earlier. So I do

apologize for the delay in getting this video up for you. So that's what we're

gonna work on today now the first thing you're gonna need is you're going to

need those 36 inch tall 1 meter tall pylons sometimes called delineators and

you could pick those up at a rental shop for about $10 for four of them for the

day so they're inexpensive now just before we get started here if you're new

to smart drive test smart drive test helps new drivers get a license

regardless of class whether you're going for a car truck or bus we help you pass

any one of those road tests as well we help commercial drivers start a career

as a truck or bus driver so if you're new here be sure to hit that subscribe

videos when I get them up for you now parallel parking between cones for the

purposes of passing a road test if you haven't seen the parallel park video

already about parking behind a single vehicle or between two vehicles

definitely have a look at that I'll put the card up in the corner for you and

have a look at that video now parallel parking between cones tends to be a

little bit easier because you got better reference points and we're gonna go over

that now the first thing you need to do is you need to set up the cones you want

to set up the cones as you can see here in the video approximately a foot wider

than what the vehicle is so you want to put the cone 12 inches to 20 centimeters

on either side of the car on the passenger side and the driver's side and

for the length of the vehicle you want to put the cones one and a half vehicle

lengths so simply park your vehicle where you want it to end up when you

finish your parallel park place the cones at the front and then

approximately another half a length behind the vehicle put the cones behind

the vehicle at approximately the same distance on the driver side and the

passenger side you get better and better and more

comfortable with parallel parking you can move them in and narrow the space

that you're going to park into but most of these driving centers the cones are

going to be one and a half vehicle length distance between the front and

the back and the reason for that is because any tighter than that and it's

just too difficult for new drivers to be able to do that so that's how you set up

the cones it's not a specific feet and inches or measurement for setting the

cones up just put them around your vehicle and make them relative and as I

said as you get better and better and you're working on this aspect of

preparation for your road test just move the cones in a closer and

essentially that's all it is so what we're gonna do here is we're gonna hook

up the cameras the other camera so you can see everything going on here and

we're gonna do a couple of parallel parks and I'll go through it

step-by-step and give you instructions on how to do this so we come up here and

we line up the vehicle so we're about two to three feet away from the pylon at

the front and essentially what we want to do it's the same as in the other

parallel park video we want to bring it so we can see that pylon through the

back window right at the back corner there and you can see that in the image

there where you want to line that up okay we put our signal on to the right

put the vehicle into reverse because we want the reverse lights to activate

right away and we're ready to back up now on this one it's a lot easier

because you don't have to pick out a 45-degree parallel all you need to do is

turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and then when you see the two

pylons in the back that's when you know to straighten your steering wheel out so

we start to back up we turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and we

back up when we watch this mirror here and as we're backing out we're almost

there can see the two pylons now in the near

here you can see that in the image when you can see the two years we straighten

their steering wheel out and we bring this pylon all the way so it's just past

the pillar on the front of the vehicle here when that's on the front of the

pillar we turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and we nice and easy

gently bring it back and we look behind us so we don't drive into the pylons and

win the vehicle and you want to stop and pause and look and make sure that you're

straight forward here as you're straight forward here that's when you put it into

a forward gear and we pull up we straighten our steering wheel out and we

drive forward until we're just close to the pylons at the front of the vehicle

and you can see that in the camera there and that's all there is to it it's very

it's actually easier I believe to parallel park between Collins first of

all the fear and trepidation of actually hitting another vehicle is gone because

if you bump a cone if you bump a cone it's not a big deal you bump somebody's

car it's a big deal because then you got insurance and you know the shame of

actually telling them that you hit their car and those sorts of things so it's

actually easier so this is a great exercise for you to learn how to drive

and learn spatial relationships of your vehicle when you're doing slow speed

maneuvers so you know get a bit Ramy with it and figure out where the vehicle

is in space in place and this will help you do that and we're gonna go around

we're going to do one more parallel park and it's the same thing for the purposes

of the road test once you get to this point here you put the vehicle into a

forward gear hold the foot brake and apply the parking brake and then shut

the vehicle off because you're gonna do a road test and on a road test they

expect you to leave the vehicle so you're gonna secure the vehicle and you

can hear the beeping but you secure the vehicle so you keep your foot on the

foot brake apply the park you're breaking into a forward gear it's going

to be into Park on an automatic and then you shut the vehicle off now for the

purposes of a road test probably not gonna shut it off but we're gonna do

that so in with the clutch start it up into reverse you got your

foot on the foot brake release the parking brake

look behind you back up so you're near the cones and again this is an exercise

that you can do and looking backing up okay

mirror signal shoulder tech over to the left into a forward gear into drive for

those of you driving automatic in North America and we simply shoulder check

again before we move immediately and you go slow because remember the vehicle

turns sharper the slower you go the slower you go the sharper the vehicle

turns that's that's true with any vehicle so that's how you come out your

signal filter check all the way to left and then stir it around to the other

side and we'll go back around and we'll do it one more time and we'll make sure

you get all the pieces in place for you to parallel park between cones

all right we're coming up we got our signal on before we're coming up we're

positioning the vehicle two to three feet away from the cones we position the

vehicle so we can see the calm in the window at the rear of the window on the

passenger side the back door of the passenger side okay into reverse right

away we've got our signal on okay we don't need to pick out a 45 on this one

because what we're gonna do is we're gonna see the two cones in the mirror

okay we start moving the vehicle back all the way to that way at the right on

the steering wheel and we look in this mirror we can see both cones in this

mirror that's when you straighten the wheel out one and a half turns back this

way will straighten the wheel out we come back until the front cone is just

in front of the pillar so now we've got the front cone in the pillar and now we

turn the steering wheel all the way to the left

nice and slow going back and we look out the back window come back and just a

okay so we're in the space we've secured the vehicle we've shut it off and now

we're going to get ready to leave again you put your Viet your foot on the foot

brake release the parking brake into reverse look up the back window and back

up near the cones and we back up near the cones we're near

the cones left signal on forward gear mirror signal shoulder check he's not

too close and go nice and slow because again it'll turn sharp through the

applied the parking brake put it into a forward gear if you're driving a manual

transmission if you're driving an automatic put it into park because for

the purposes of the road test they're going to want to see that you can secure

the vehicle because they're anticipating that you're going to leave because you

park the vehicle in you're leaving right so you need to secure the vehicle then

when you leave you put the vehicle in Reverse back up

you need to look out the back window before you put the vehicle in motion

that is imperative on a road test because if you don't look before you put

the vehicle in motion unfortunately you're gonna fail your road test you

won't be successful so you back up close to the cones at the back and then put

your left signal on your signal shoulder check and then begin to pull out and

then just before you pull out the shoulder check again and remember the

slower you go the sharp of the vehicle turn so make sure you go slow doing

these maneuvers and this is a really good exercise as you get better and

better at it you can move the cones in closer and that way it'll teach you how

to drive it'll also teach you where the vehicle is in space and place while

you're learning how to drive so that's how you can do it between cones

Cave Apartment Tour in Matera, Italy - Duration: 10:01.

Alright guys so I am super excited for this apartment tour because this week we are living

in a cave.

What a dream.

So we are currently visiting Matera in Italy.

This is the third oldest inhabited settlement in the whole world after Aleppo and Jericho

and we're staying in the Old Town where it is all stone dwellings so when we were looking

for Airbnbs I was super adamant we're going to stay in a cave.

Exactly.

And we found one at a really good price because it is low season this one was only $70 but

if you go inside it is like very boutique style high end but also like super rustic

and cozy.

So we're going to go in and we're going to give you a tour of this place.

Okay but now let's go indoors because it is pretty chilly.

It is late November so let's give you the actual tour.

It is also windy.

Okay so we are in.

It is warm and toasty.

I was actually kind of worried that it would be super cold in winter in one of these stone

dwellings but you know they've got modern conveniences so it is actually been great.

I love being in here.

So first up if you look up we have these like rounded ceilings.

They are almost like arched ceilings which kind of gives it that cozy cave-y type feeling.

Um, the floors are really cool.

It is like a mix of brick and like these cool tiles.

Um, and the color scheme is all very neutral.

It is nice and beige which I like.

Yeah.

Exactly.

I guess we should begin with this space.

We're in the living area right now which is a little bit small but you know it works for

two people.

We have this nice little couch which we haven't really used a whole lot.

We just checked in.

Um, that is true.

This is super Italian we've got this cool coffee maker.

I know.

We had some trouble figuring out how it works this morning.

Look at the size of it and look at all of the different choices you have right here.

Like espresso, espresso lungo, espresso macchiato, cappuccino, mokaccino, latte macchiato.

There is everything you could possibly imagine.

There is basically options galore.

Yeah.

And you drink your morning espresso in this tiny little cup.

Of course which is kind of cool.

And we went to a market and bought these little cookies.

morning and got a whole bunch of fresh produce.

Oh my gosh.

We got an insane amount of produce for 5 Euros.

I know.

Like our bags were full.

It was crazy.

I've never bought mushrooms that look so white.

It is like they were look at the size of the peppers as well.

They were massive.

The quality of the produce was just like off the charts.

And then I'm walking in with like all disheveled and I know with like sweatpants and having

not showered because of the ferry.

Because we were on the ferry.

Yeah, it was pretty bad.

We have this other old like armoire maybe.

I've just thrown in my computer bag in here.

But you can actually hang clothes.

There is hangers in there.

More storage in case we get cold and need more blankets.

Um there is a cool book of Matera that I haven't even opened yet.

Which is awesome.

Um and over here yeah that is the bathroom.

It is quite spacious for a European bathroom.

I also like all of the little details.

There is like a little hanger for the towels if you have a look.

So yeah this has been a really really cool spot.

It is probably one of my favorite.

Alright so to wrap it up let's talk about your thoughts on this cool little cave-like

apartment.

Well, I also really enjoyed it as well.

It is just like this is one of the reasons why I like to stay in apartments versus hotels.

It is like imagine just getting an experience like this.

This is incredible.

It just adds to the whole travel experience that you have yes for sure when you're visiting

a place like this.

And so far our initial thoughts of Matera is that it is an incredible city to explore

on foot.

Mmmhmmm.

It is the kind of place where you just want to get lost, go down back-alleys.

You know.

Check out different viewpoints.

It is just there is surprises around every corner.

Yeah, it is an amazing place to wander around for sure.

And in terms of the price to get $70 US dollars is a steal.

Normally this place I think runs for it is a hundred dollars.

Yeah.

Um, yeah we got a really good deal partly because it is offseason I also think partly

because we booked it for multiple nights.

Yeah, unlike other places we are not staying for a full week.

We only have 4 nights.

We originally were going to have 5 but we had that issue with the ferry.

Our ferry was canceled.

Uh.

So we have less time here than we anticipated so that means we are not going to be doing

too much work.

We're going to be doing mostly exploring.

Yes.

And yeah we definitely recommend coming here renting this type of accommodation.

A cave.

Yeah, like how often do you get to rent a cave.

How often do you get to stay in a cave?

Like for real.

So um yeah come to Matera get a place like this and just enjoy being here.

American intelligence officials have been conducting a top-secret operation to recover

stolen National Security Administration (NSA) documents through meetings with Russian intermediaries,

according to The Intercept.

Top members of the intelligence community have met over the past year with a group of

Russians trying to sell back highly classified NSA documents obtained by Russian intelligence.

American and Russian intermediaries began meeting in Germany in early 2017.

One Russian operator with connections to individuals in the country's intelligence sphere with

access to top-secret information told The Intercept he is seeking payment for the information.

The meetings began in early 2017 after a massive 2016 breach of top-secret cyberweapons from

the NSA.

U.S. intelligence authorities believe the Russians obtained the documents through a

mysterious hacker group called the Shadow Brokers, who gained access to many of the

hacking tools used in foreign espionage by the U.S.

The NSA is now trying to contain the damage after vital information on America's espionage

tools was outed.

Russians involved in the meetings have also begun offering to sell information on Trump

campaign officials in connection with the concerted Russian government effort to influence

the 2016 election.

The Russian operators' connections with the Russian government remains unclear.

U.S. intelligence officials reportedly first approached an American with connections to

the Russians to help them regain the documents in December of 2016.

Russian operators worked to sway American voters in the election on social media through

forged accounts and propaganda, and Russian hackers were behind a massive information

breach at the Democratic National Committee that exposed the Hillary Clinton campaign's

ties to the party's finances.

Law enforcement officials and several congressional committees are now investigating the extent

of the Russian meddling, including whether Trump campaign officials were involved.
