Mademoiselle Prive Hong Kong Exhibition

It's been freezing cold these days

So I'm wearing nothing fancy just to stay alive...

If you are ever visiting Central soho area

I mostly take the mid-levels travelator to get up first

and then walk down from there

Today we are heading to PMQ

This area is right next to LKF

so there are many decent restaurants

and some cozy bars for drinks

plus a variety of boutiques and galleries

This insta famous wall is also located here

Many people come here to take pictures every day

For girls,

I highly suggest not to wear heels here

Because the streets are super steep

PMQ actually stands for former Police Married Quarters

Then it was re-opened as a creative hub

You can find a bunch of designers here

and their studios / boutiques

and they host all kinds of workshops from time to time

It is also a preferred event venue for many brands

Mademoiselle Prive Hong Kong takes up 2 floors

I registered online in advance for entrance

But it was actually not as easy as it seemed

We did book online in advance

but now the staff is telling us that even though I registered for my friend

she still needs to download the app herself to get in

So we are here downloading....

This is quite inconvenient!

This guy was trying to screen people like us out

and download something to kill your battery

before you can get in

Right at the entrance,

you get to pick a camellia

Each flower had the Chanel No.5 perfum sprayed on

The ground floor is a red garden

There lies a few art pieces done by some artists

is the Camellia Light inspired by sky lanterns

Visitors can make a wish with the camellia

they just picked out

and stick it onto the camellia light

Each art piece on this floor

incorporated some iconic elements from Chanel

like wheat, pearls,

Gabrielle Chanel's lucky numbers, etc.

You can resort to the videos in your app

and learn about the stories behind each piece

After entering this darker room,

you will be greeted by iconic flavours that

make up the famous No. 5 perfum

Some installations are quite high

EMERSON PALMIERI has been hailed as the "best January signing" following his £19million move from Roma to Chelsea last month.

The left-back, 23, arrived at Stamford Bridge late in the transfer window as competition for Marcos Alonso.

Emerson Palmieri has been hailed as the best piece of January business across Europe.

Palmieri is yet to make an appearance under Antonio Conte after only just returning to fitness from a cruciate ligament injury.

And Pastorello reckons that Arsenal are looking to beat Chelsea to Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri.

He also insists striker Mauro Icardi will leave Inter Milan in the summer for a potential world-record fee, describing the Argentine as "the summer's big transfer.

Palmieri is yet to make an appearances for his new side.

Palmieri was closely followed in the Chelsea door by Olivier Giroud.

yeah Angela's still hanging out with me about that guys really quick I've

learned from the past I know YouTube can be a cruel place to

other people and there may be parts of my life

with you all about until the time comes or until that person wants to talk so

that's really all I have to say and you just have to accept it and as for the

stuff in the sky last night that was creepy

we're not really sure I mean we are on an old military base so there is a

chance that they were doing something I just there was no sound out there and

the lights were in a perfect line turning on and off oh it was creepy it

had a lot of people baffled last night what was going on

anyway maybe some of you military people know that's some kind of training

exercise or the plane turns off his lights for a certain amount just or

maybe he's just messing with all the tweakers out the slab so yeah I don't

know for sure my name is weird anyway goodbye slab city we survived a week

here in 2018 on to new adventures in California creepy

welcome to Bombay Beach a little abandoned place out here near the Salton

Sea I'm just carefully watching my step for

any nails or glass I forget why this place is so abandoned but the Salton Sea

is one of the lowest elevation places in the country at minus 222 feet in

elevation creepy though anyway let's go try to find some water today

if you wanted to get some property down here I'll bet it'd be pretty cheap yeah

Metro I don't know that right there is my biggest fear it just random nails

sticking up out of the wood and everywhere around here just gonna have

to be careful right just take a quick shower here I think this house is

falling apart no you don't got to pay a lot you just got to pay attention let's

at least turn the lights on here oh there we go getting some nice Sun coming

through yeah I wish I could describe the smell out here well back home Puget

Sound in Washington you know we got like that seaweed smell mud Bay type stuff

where it just smells but this is it's definitely salty obviously very very

salty smell out here a little rancid little unpleasant but but not bad

weird abandoned votes way up here and there's the water out there part of me

does kind of want to go in the water but I got some cuts on my leg and I don't

think that high volume of salt it's gonna do it much good here this concrete

barrier here I mean I'm sure it serves some reasonable purpose before but right

now I'm not sure I'm not sure what purpose it serves at all oh I just

walked through a bunch of dead fish carcasses lovely nice job Eric well I

have a theory because you can see the wood what is this just I don't know but

I think this is an old dock that was out here because obviously the Salton Sea

has been getting smaller and smaller over the years so this may have been

under water that's probably what had happened yeah

this was all under water and I'm guessing this has something to do with

what the salt does to the wood over time

but yeah we're probably standing in a spot that was completely under the salt

and sea at one time all right I came out here even though I kind of didn't want

to you guys could smell this right now it is horrid what a strange smell okay

here's a good idea and a good look for you guys we're right at the water's edge

here look at that tint color that's what I'm smelling if I can if I can if I can

describe to you what what we're looking at here very strange

no swimming in the salt and sea I think but as it turns out there's actually a

state park up here at California State Park at the north end of the Salton Sea

so well I don't know if you guys realize but if you count 14 days can't be in the

desert @rt are followed by seven days with a couple days break but then seven

days a camping at slab city in the desert I've spent a good amount of time

parked in the sand and dealing with the wind and sand everywhere and I think

think just kind of feeling like it's time to get a piece of pavement at a

campground of sorts with hookups and stuff so 86 degrees here today would

love to run the air conditioner for the afternoon

so yeah angel' and I are gonna go scope out this campground up here and see we

can play there we go Salton Sea State Recreation Area

look at this welcome with the palm trees yes

oh that's glorious Thank You California I appreciate it well welcome to Salton

Sea out here in the desert not much to it but you got you that pizza

stupid desert Mirage so yeah another look at the Salton Sea here at the state

park did some research when I was here over three years ago no drones allowed

they have actually reversed that the California State Parks

has reversed the no drones allowed in state parks although it does say that

each State Park can have special rules so if they were to put up a sign that

said no drones you would have to honor that but statewide drones are allowed

back in and there are rumors that national parks are working on the same

thing I mean because the FAA z' rules for flying a drone I mean as long as you

follow those rules you really can't be an idiot at a state park and because

they track everything you do the people that do abuse it they're gonna lose

their privilege of flying so it's cool that um they brought it back I'll fly

the drone later but Salton Sea there are a lot of fish carcasses here a lot of

fish don't survive kinda all over penta gross

so yeah the Salton Sea I did some research just to correct myself it's 336

feet below sea level out here and the Salton Sea has changed a lot over the

centuries it used to be fed by the Colorado River but you know how nature

likes to change things up Colorado River decided to take a couple different

routes over the last two thousand years and thus the level of the Salton Sea has

gone down tremendously plus the deposits of well the collection of salt that's

why it's 50 percent more salty out here than in the normal ocean the only signs

I saw were no lifeguard on duty and no diving so I don't know maybe that's the

thing here maybe maybe people actually go in there

and swim in the summer anyway Salton Sea it's been a while huh Jax that's real

dress what do you think it's real and a lot of

times you got to chew on grass taystee sure

I do not care about Infowars and I do not

care about Snopes.com.

In politics, you have to choose a side.

You always make enemies.

There is not a single politician who has come

up with a plan without pushing a certain group

of people down.

For this reason, I am not left, not right

but straightforward.

And that is why I can proudly say that I can

talk and decide unbiased about the Infowars,

Snopes - Oprah Winfrey conflict.

Infowars says that the debunking website Snopes.com

has debunked itself about a statement by Oprah

Winfrey during a 2013 interview with BBC.

In a publication of January 15 at Infowars.com

where it is claimed that the Tweet of Infowarrior

Paul Joseph Watson has been taken out of context.

What exactly did Oprah Winfrey say?

"There are still generations of older people

who were born, bred, and marinated in it,

in that racism, and they just have to die."

On 8 January 2018, Mr. Watson tweeted the video clip of Oprah Winfrey with the following

text "Oprah's solution to racism, Old white people" just have to die ".

2 days later Snopes.com came with counter-publication.

I quote "One such rumor centered on comments

Winfrey made during a 2013 BBC interview in

which she was asked whether or not she believes the problem of racism has been solved.

Her alleged response?

In order for the problem of racism to be solved

" Here's an example of a tweet asserting

that Winfrey said it:," end quote.

The alleged Tweet by Mr. Watson

used as an example.

Mr. Watson defends himself: "You'll notice

that I didn't quote Oprah as saying "old

white people," the quotation marks in that

tweet were around the words, "just have

to die".

However, the context of Oprah's statement

is clearly aimed at old white people," says

mister Watson.

Who is right?

Infowars or Snopes?

The party that is right is "Snopes.com".

The difference between Oprah and Paul is that

Oprah still shows her good side by leaving

skin color out of it while making her point.

On the contrary to Oprah, Paul makes this

a skin color issue as evident on the screen.

Let's get back to his defense where he said

I repeat "You'll notice that I didn't

quote Oprah as saying "old white people,"

the quotation marks in that tweet were around

the words, "just have to die"" However,

the context of Oprah's statement is clearly

aimed at old white people," he said.

Rejected, that's an assumption.

In practice, it appears that Paul has only

quoted four words from the entire statement

of Oprah Winfrey.

I Repeat: "There are still generations of

The fact is, yes, in those days the slaveholders

were white people.

Indirectly, Paul admits it in his tweet.

Oprah Winfrey is the wrong party to blame.

By sharing the video debunking the claim made

by mister Watson himself.

Blaming someone else what you do.

This is a literal example of incitement to

hatred between skin color, where the name

Oprah Winfrey is misused, while Oprah deliberately

leaves the skin color out of her statement.

To make my point, we do a game.

Find the difference:

Infowars did not like it when CNN placed a

lower third under Alex Jones where a headline

emerged related to the "Former KKK leader

and Donald Trump"

Infowars felt enormously addressed.

The function of a lower third is to display

other important headlines during the broadcast.

Here is another example, where you see 4 people

with colored skin with a lower third about

a mutual subject.

They leave out an important detail that at

that time the "general election campaigns"

was the conversation of the day.

Headlines like this are no stranger.

It is not the first time that Infowars is

guilty of disinformation publications.

I come to the conclusion that Snopes.com is

right on the basis of the proof that Mr. Watson

has left behind.

The hoax video "New Zealand UFO" by UFO Today

is removed from Youtube, also other copies

of this video.

On January 12 I debunked the alleged video.

I have talked with the official cameraman.

He explained to me that his first thought

were UFOs as a natural reaction.

But afterwards, he also knew that it was something

earthly.

The video is money for hoaxers and is being

misused like UFO Today as a UFO video in New

Zealand while it is actually recorded in America.

The cameraman, the only person with exclusive

to people to republish his video.

Certainly not hoaxers.

The copyright holder has handed the title

clearly doesn't want to change in fact he's certain he doesn't need to change

because what's happened is his life went through a lot of pain and when he got

pain he looked for the source of that pain and he said it was being close to

people so we decided his people equals pain member the red squares we talked

about so now he wants to avoid people and he's mean to people now he's also

very wealthy financially he makes up there's a belief to because I mean and

tough with people I'm rich the truth is he's financially rich if you watch the

movie you read the story when everyone else is gone who's still working he is

he's hard-working he's thrifty smart he's intelligent but he thinks he's rich

because he's mean so he doesn't want to lose being rich he

doesn't want to lose not being hurt so here's a belief be mean to people and

everything works out even though he's miserable can we have

beliefs that make no sense and yet still believe them yes or no sure we just get

wired so I'm watching this guy now the only way people change is if they

associate either enough what pain so they have to change or they associate

changing will equal enough what and ideally if you get both you'll change if

you get every moment I do this the pains getting more and more tense there's a

avoid the problem is so are you linking paying the things you need like exercise

N. Korea's military parade scaled down than usual, showcases no new missiles - Duration: 1:52.

North Korea forged ahead with a military parade this morning and footage of the parade was

revealed this evening.

Unlike in the past, the regime remained relatively quiet,... choosing not to broadcast it live.

The scale of the parade has also been reduced.

On the eve of the opening day of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, North Korea went ahead with

a military parade... to commemorate its military foundation day.

The parade, however, was smaller in scale than usual.

Nevertheless, Pyongyang took it as an opportunity to showcase its key weapons and missiles.

The Pukguksong-2 missile, an intermediate range ballistic missile using solid fuel engine,

was revealed.

Following were the Hwasong-12, Hwasong-14,... and the Hwasong-15, an intercontinental ballistic

missile,... which can fly over 13-thousand kilometers,... putting the whole continental

United States within reach.

But new types of ICBMs or SLBMs -- like Hwasong-13 or Pukguksong-3 -- were not revealed.

Pyongyang's military parade took place for roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes,... just half

the time of the previous one in April last year.

And unlike in the past, the parade was not broadcasted live.

Instead, the regime released a recorded and edited footage of the parade roughly five

hours after it ended.

Moreover, no foreign press was present at the event.

Such downscaled parade follows Pyongyang's declaration that it completed its nuclear

weapons program, thus achieving nuclear statehood.

Speculations are that the regime is paying more attention to the international community's

response and to the PyeongChang Winter Olympics atmosphere down in South Korea... where on

top of its athletes and cheerleaders, a high-level delegation that includes Kim Jong-un's sister

Kim Yo-jong will be visiting.

First event of PyeongChang 2018 starts with mixed doubles curling - Duration: 3:07.

Pyeongchang and the sub-host city of Gangneung are charged up with the enthusiasm and intensity

of athletes the world over.

Even though it's tomorrow when the curtain rises with the opening ceremony for this century's

first Olympics in Korea... the qualifiers for a number of events have already begun.

To get into the thick of the action, we connect to our Lee Ji-won, at the Gangneung Curling

Centre.

Ji-won do fill us in on the early bird competitions that are already heating up.

Hi Daniel, the first actual competition at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics started

this morning,... with four round robin preliminaries of the mixed doubles curling.

Over the next four days, eight countries will compete to qualify for the medal round.

And the second rounds of the prelimiaries just started at 8 p.m.

South Korea is taking on China,... and we'll find out the results shortly after 9.30.

As for the morning game, Team Korea grabbed its first win against Finland,... along with

the U.S., Norway, and Switzerland.

But mixed doubles in curling is new at the Olympics this year, so we're still unsure

who's likely to be standing on the medal podium in the coming days.

There's also ski jumping starting in about an hour and a half.

Qualification for the men's individual normal hill will be held at the Alpensia Ski Jumping

Centre in PyeongChang.

We've been experiencing a bone-chilling cold snap in recent days.

The mercury must've dipped even further down in the mountains.

But the venues are heating up with excitement.

... Plus, we have some welcome news for spectators of outdoor events.

Daniel, it was freezing cold earlier this week,... and it's still quite cold now that

the sun is down,... but starting yesterday the temperature has improved a lot.... thankfully.

And despite today being a weekday,... a lot of people came to watch the games and cheer

for their teams.

I was able to talk to some of the spectators, let's have a look.

"Curling isn't a game you see often, so I thought it'd be a great chance to watch it

in person.

Also, it's the first event of the long-awaited PyeongChang Olympics.

Watching it was thrilling and it made me feel that the Olympics have really started."

"It was really cool to watch the athletes compete We were really happy that we won the

first match.

I don't know much about curling, but it was really intense and the atmosphere was really

great so I had a lot of fun."

The Olympic buzz is felt not just here in the Gangneung Curling Centre, but in the Pyeongchang

and Gangneung Olympic Villages as well, as the last rounds of team welcome ceremonies

for athletes were held,... including those for North Korea, Greece and Sweden.

The Olympic torch relay also pumped up the atmosphere,... as it lit up its second last

destination, Gangneung today.

The torch was taken around different parts of the city and its major tourist attractions,

before it's finally brought to Pyeongchang and the Olympic Plaza for Friday's opening

ceremony.

Korean gov't to further develop chip, display industries - Duration: 1:58.

The Korean government announced plan to further boost the country's semiconductor and display

industries.

It involves close cooperation with the private sector as well as greater investment.

Kim Hyesung introduces to us the new measure.

It's called the 'Gap 5 Strategy.'

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced its plan to maintain its five-year

lead in the semiconductor and display industries against followers like China through new technology

development.

For chips, the plan is to raise efficiency and speed by a thousand-fold...through research

into new materials that exceed nano-level processing technology.

In the display sector, the ministry plans to develop flexible panels with more than

20 percent pliability.

The goal is to create new markets, double Korea's market share in system chips from

the current three percentage range to six percent by 2022 and triple OLED exports to

over 25 billion U.S. dollars in five years.

While Korea leads the world in chip and display exports, it still imports a considerable amount

of equipment and materials from countries like the U.S. and Japan.

The second part of the 'Gap 5 Strategy' aims to narrow this gap against Korea's competitors

in equipment and materials in less than five years through localization.

The ministry said it will invest 2 trillion won, or 1.8 billion U.S. dollars to small

and mid-sized firms over the course of five years and raise the level of localization.

The government also signed MOUs with Korean conglomerates like Samsung Electronics, SK

Hynix and LG Display on Thursday, in which the companies will invest up to 74 billion

dollars to nurture talent, and invest and create new jobs in semiconductors and chips.

A huge plan with ambitious goals, the ministry said it will fine tune the specific details

so it can launch the project by this year.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in... closing a day of back-to-back summits with world leaders

visiting the nation for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang set to kick off tomorrow...

is hosting U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and his wife at the presidential Blue House,

as we speak.

Vice Presidenet Pence landed in the Osan Air Base just a few hours ago... and the trip

here to the Blue House is the very first on his list of to-do's during his three-day stay

in the nation.

South Korea's First Couple is hosting a Blue House dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Pence as we

speak... but during President Moon and Vice President Pence's one-on-one earlier in the

evening... the South Korean leader acknowledged Washington's contribution in engaging North

Korea in the Winter Olympics here as well as inter-Korean talks by firmly sticking to

its principles and close coordination with the South.

The U.S. VP stressed to President Moon and the South Korean people that the U.S. will

stand shoulder to shoulder with its ally, South Korea, and work together towards a permanent

and irreversible denuclearization of North Korea.

Now, we've also heard that North Korean leader's influential sister, Kim Yo-jong and the North

Korean high-level delegation will be arriving tomorrow?

That's right.

Topping the discussions even through dinner will no doubt be the surprise visit by the

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's only sibling in the media spotlight, Kim Yo-jong.

She will be traveling to the South as part of the North's high-level delegation led by

its ceremonial head of state Kim Yong-nam.

The presidential Blue House announced earlier today that Kim Yong-nam will be attending

the leaders' reception hosted by President Moon tomorrow before the opening ceremony

of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics - Kim Yo-jong

will not be - but that South Korean President Moon will meet with the North Korean delegation

- yes, including Kim Yo-jong - as they have lunch on Saturday.

The delegation arrives in South Korea tomorrow afternoon... and there is no doubt that all

eyes around the world will be fixed on the younger Kim as she becomes the first of North

Korea's Kim family to step on South Korean soil.
