♫ Once upon a time in a half a remembered dream
found myself in a lovely, enlightening scene.
On a hill on the highest part of town
all the people were gathering all around
holding hands, singing songs,
and in the middle of the beautiful throng there was a man.
He held up his hand.
And in a hush he said,
"I am the Light, I've come to give you what I am
I am the Light, I've come to give you of myself.
You are the Light, we've come together just to share it.
We're the Light, we're the Light, oh, we're the Light.
What a beautiful Light.
What a beautiful Light."
Then I was lifted up into the highest of highs.
All that I had been passed before my eyes.
I was a Soul born into rock
broken and crushed to become
a greater part.
And the earth became me, and I...
slept in its heart.
Living in darkness and dreaming of Light, I was taken by trees who required
my living Light.
And the trees became me, and I...
awakened inside.
Watching the world, and wishing to move,
I was taken by animals there,
and I became their food.
And I traveled far away, and I...
in my wisdom, grew.
Joined by the Spirit according to plan,
one day I woke up inside
of the breath of man.
And many lifetimes did I
stay in this land.
I was a priest and a man with a cause,
I was a thief who broke all the laws,
I was a man who forgot who he was.
Then I met a man who never forgot.
He knew who he was and he was...
what he taught.
And he taught this song to me, and then...
I remembered again...
—Sing with us.
I am the Light, I've come to give you what I am.
I am the Light, I've come to give you of myself.
You are the Light, we've come together just to share it.
We're the Light, we're the Light, oh, we're the Light.
What a beautiful Light.
What a beautiful Light.
I am the Light, I've come to give you what I am.
I am the Light, I've come to give you of myself.
You are the Light, we've come together just to share it.
We're the Light, we're the Light, oh, we're the Light.
What a beautiful Light.
What a beautiful Light.
What a beautiful Light.
What a beautiful Light. ♫
