Android Oreo 8.1 update for Google Nexus and Pixel - Duration: 2:33.

The first devices in line to get system updates are, as always, Google's own devices: the

Nexus and Pixel phones.

In fact, Google devices are one step ahead.

Users can actually play with Android 8.1 Oreo, the most up-to-date version so far.

The Pixel 2 phones come with Oreo right out of the box.

For the others, to get the update you'll have to install it manually or wait for the final

version to come OTA (over the air).

Google has posted their update plans for the Pixel and Pixel XL on a support page, making

their guarantees of two years of Android updates (through October 2018) and three years of

security updates (through October 2019) official.

In addition to the Pixel and Pixel XL, the Nexus 5X, 6P, Player and Google Pixel C will

be getting Android Oreo.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Oreo updates rolling out now - Duration: 2:43.

Well, it's about time.

The official Android 8.0 Oreo update is now rolling out for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy

S8+ in Germany.

Naturally, the beta testers are the first in line to receive the update, but other users

still on Nougat are expected to receive the update within 24 hours.

It's good news for German Samsung fans, especially the beta testers, who can download the update

asap by tapping the Download updates manually option in the Settings>Software update menu.

Samsung has taken almost two weeks to roll out the final version of Oreo after the end

of beta testing.

The Android update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ weighs in at 487 MB and

comes with the latest February 2018 security patch and the new version (9.0) of the Samsung

Experience UX.

The rollout today started with firmware version G955XXU1CRAP for the Galaxy S8+ in Germany,

but of course the update will continue to expand to different regions in the coming

days, starting with the beta testers in each market.

Android 8.0 Oreo will be bringing its much touted superpowers to enhance the Galaxy S8

and Galaxy S8+.

Users should expect better performance from their handsets after the upgrade as well as

new options such as picture-in-picture mode.

While this is exciting news for Samsung fans, it's worth noting that the Galaxy S8 and Plus

version have been really slow to receive the update.

In fact, this rollout comes just when the launch of next-gen Galaxy S9 at MWC is around

the corner!

Let's hope that next time, the S9 will run the latest Android version well before its

successor is due for release.

Meeting with President Moon Jae-in upon his arrival on Thursday,... the two sides shared

their own ways of dealing with North Korea.

Adding extra spice to the clashing perspectives on the best path to take on the regime,...

the North Korean leader's younger sister is flying into the South this afternoon.

Our chief Blue House correspondent Moon Connyoung reports.

Welcoming the U.S. Vice President Mike Pence to the presidential Blue House, South Korean

President Moon Jae-in took the opportunity to highlight the visit of the North Korean

officials to PyeongChang, what he referred to as "Olympic Games of peace."

President Moon credited the allies' close coordination and firm principles for getting

North Korea to engage in inter-Korean talks and participate in the Winter Olympics in

his country.

"I hope we can take this opportunity and make this a venue that leads to dialogue for the

denuclearization of North Korea and peace on the Korean Peninsula."

Although the two agreed that the goal of any opening with North Korea must be denuclearization...

there appears to be difference in how they'd like to get there.

"The United States of America will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in our effort

to bring maximum pressure to bear on North Korea until that time comes when they finally

and permanently and irreversibly abandon their nuclear and ballistic missile ambitions."

Despite possible disagreements over how to approach North Korea, Mr. Moon and Pence in

one voice echoed that the state of alliance between South Korea and the U.S. is unshakable.

Against this backdrop, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's younger sister, believed to

be around 30 years old, is flying on a private jet to the South's Incheon International Airport

later this afternoon... with the rest of the North Korean delegates

led by its ceremonial head of state Kim Yong-nam.

The presidential Blue House said President Moon will hold a luncheon with the North Korean

delegates, including the first member of the North's ruling Kim family to visit South Korea.

South Korea's alpine resort town of PyeongChang where the 2018 Winter Olympics kick off later

this evening may be one of the coldest places in this region boasting well below zero temperatures

but, it will surely be red hot with Moon, Pence, and the influential sister of Kim Jong-un

in one country at one time.

Just maybe, some observers say... even a high-level encounter between the Americans and North

Koreans while here enjoying one of the world's major international sporting events.
