Hot News! Mazda Rotary Engine Reverting in 2019 as EV Range Extender | With Subtittle - Duration: 2:20.
It seems that a range-extended Mazda electric car with a rotary engine is for real, and
coming sooner than expected.
An automotive information shop from the Netherlands called AutoRAI spoke with Mazda's European
vice president for sales and customer services.
He told the shop that Mazda has an electric car coming In 2019, and it will be available
with a rotary engine as a generator .
Among the details about this vehicle and its powertrain, he said it would be similar in
sizing to the Mazda3, and it is likely to be be a crossover.
It will also be based on Mazda's upcoming modular small-scale vehicle platform.
The rotary engine will exclusively produce electricity and will exclusively have one
rotor.
Not exclusively that, it will be attached horizontally.
This is particularly unusual as every rotary Mazda has had the engine attached upright
.
We've reached out to Mazda representatives in the U.S. and Europe.
An American representative couldn't comment on what kinds of range-extender alternatives
may be coming in the future.
We say this specifically because Mazda has confirmed previously that an EV with an available
assortment extender is coming in 2019.
We have not listened back from a European congressman at the time of writing .
Despite this, a yield of the rotary as a assortment extender seems probable.
Besides the appointments fitting with Mazda's electrical strategies, there are other morsels
from the past that support the idea.
Mazda has been experimenting with the relevant recommendations for years, and even created
a functioning Mazda2 EV with a rotary range-extender.
The company has also registered patents in the U.S. for the setup as recently as last
year, and there have been other recent rumors .

Is NAD+ the future of aging science? - Duration: 4:25.
Today's video is sponsored by Elysium Health, which produces Basis, a dietary supplement
that's clinically proven to increase NAD+, a natural occurring substance in our bodies
that declines as we age.
This video is made in collaboration with REAL LIFE LORE, a YouTube channel that asks head-scratching
questions about things you didn't even know you NEEDED to know -- Pop-over to RLL after
this vid if you looking for an interesting perspective on today's topic.
Can cosmetics reverse age?
Humanity has been trying to answer that for… ohh, EVER.
One of the oldest medical texts, a papyrus dating all the way back to 2500 BC, contained
"A Recipe for Transforming An Old Man Into A Youth".
It was a face cream made of fruit and mud --- huh -- not too different from some of
today's cosmetic products.
Alchemists, medieval predecessors to modern day chemists, attempted to create the "Elixir
of Life", a mysterious substance that was fabled to keep you young forever.
In the 1800's, the father of endocrinology, scientist Charles Brown-Sequard, even got
into the act by injecting himself with a mash of dog and guinea pig testicles as soon as
he felt old age looming over him.
Shocker!
None of these things made anyone any younger.
Anyone could claim anything.
Consumers were disgruntled.
Mass chaos ensued.
That was, until 1938, when a law descended from the mountaintops of D.C. that said, "Henceforth,
cosmetics shall only beautify, cleanse and promote attractiveness".
Well, in reality, it was actually a little more toned down that.
According to this definition, cosmetics could only hide a wrinkle, not actually remove it.
Oh, did you want more than that?
Well now you're talking about a drug, and that requires proof of safety and effectiveness
before it reaches store shelves.
Ok.
But wait…. if I stand in front of the wall of cosmetics in the beauty aisle, I see a
different story.
Marketing claims like "regenerates cells", "repairs wrinkles", and "heals skin"
seem to suggest that reversing age is possible, even if only on a minute scale.
So cosmetics can reverse aging!?!
What if I told you there might be a grey area between cosmetics and drugs?
Welcome to the world of cosmeceuticals, a marketing term coined in the 80's by a notable
dermatologist who pointed out some cosmetics could have a real effect on the structure
or the function of the skin -- or at least used ingredients that could.
Heard of retinol or vitamin C anyone?
However, since cosmeceuticals aren't a category recognized by the FDA, these cosmetics with
their supposed drug-like capabilities don't undergo the same scrutiny as pharmaceuticals.
No one has to state the percentages of the active ingredients or even provide clinical
proof that they're actually having an effect.
That sounds kinda sketchy.
Are the ingredients in the cosmetic stable?
Can they penetrate the skin barrier?
Who knows.
They may work and they may not.
We'll never know unless someone starts doing studies that allow us to figure what benefits
are real and which products deliver them.
The supplements market has the same problem.
A pair of studies done only a few years ago showed that many supplements didn't even
contain the ingredients they claimed to use.
Yeah, your supplement pill might as well be packed with sawdust.
That's a problem that Elysium, maker of the supplement Basis, is trying to tackle.
Despite the lack of regulation requiring them to do so, Elysium HAS done human trials with
Basis.
The trials show that when users take the recommended dose of the supplement, there is a 40% increase
in the amount of NAD+ otherwise known as Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide.
NAD+ works with sirtuins, a family of proteins connected to longevity in animals.
But sirtuins don't work alone.
They only function when NAD+ is present.
NAD+ functions as a helper molecule, aiding sirtuins in DNA maintenance and mitochondrial
function.
Think of sirtuins as a car, getting you from place to place.
NAD+ is like the gas, without it, driving anywhere would be impossible.
Without NAD+ sirtuins can't function.
As we age our NAD+ levels go down and scientist think the decrease may cause our cells to
work less efficiently over time.
In theory, increasing NAD+ may support how we age and improve our healthspan, the number
of years we live in optimal health.
Elysium's co-founder, Dr. Guarente, the director of the Glenn Lab for the Biology
of Aging at MIT says - "We're not trying to extend lifespan; we want to improve healthspan."
So we know NAD+ is having an effect on the body, and because Elysium released Basis as
a supplement, we get to try it for ourselves now, instead of waiting decades.
After all, those of us concerned about aging aren't getting any younger.
And now let's see what my friend Joseph, from Real Life Lore has to say about the topic!

Little Boy Lonely When Dad Gets Deployed. What Neighbor Does For Him Melts Mom's Heart - Duration: 3:13.
Little Boy Lonely When Dad Gets Deployed.
What Neighbor Does For Him Melts Mom's Heart
When a soldier is deployed it is hard on everyone.
Of course it is difficult for the soldier, whose life is often put in danger as he or
she follows their orders, but it is also really tough on the family they leave behind.
Deployments can be especially difficult for young kids who miss their moms and dads and
don't fully understand why they have to be away so long.
When 5-year-old Brian Kelly's father, Dan, was deployed to Syria, the young boy had a
hard time with it.
The separation was especially difficult because the family has no communication with him while
he is overseas.
While his dad is gone, though, Brian has someone else who is watching over him and being a
good male role model – his neighbor, Dean Cravens.
Brian's mom, Barbara Kelly, said Brian started developing a friendship with Dean when they
first moved into the neighborhood in Belleville, Illinois, in July, "but it became very much
more so since my husband left.
He misses him so much."
Brian loves to do yard work, so whenever he sees Dean outside working he asks if he can
join in.
"When he sees me with my trimmers, he'd always come over and talk to me about it,"
Dean said.
"He's a hard worker."
As the friendship developed, Dean decided he could do more for the young boy than just
put him to work.
He decided that, while Brian's dad is deployed, he will try to fill those shoes as best he
can.
"When his dad left, he'd have more time on his hands, and he'd come over and ring
the doorbell," Dean recalled.
"He'd ask if I could come out and play.
Originally he'd ask to do more yardwork, and I thought, 'Well, let's do other things
too,' so we play catch, we'll be shooting the ball, working on my golf swing."
Dean, a father of three girls, loves the time he gets to spend with Brian.
"I appreciate it a lot," he said.
"I love kids and being with them.
When I see they're not having fun, I'm not."
"I like to coach and teach them because you get to see them learn," he added.
"I don't have a son.
I have three daughters, and we've had a great time, but it's fun to be around a
boy.
It's different."
Brian's mom has been touched by Dean's willingness to step in and show love and kindness
to her son while his dad is gone.
While she can't talk to her husband about it, she's sure he'll be grateful when
he learns how his neighbor has stepped in to be a role model and friend to Brian while
he's been deployed.
"Brian knows that no one is going to replace his father.
The bond between a father and son, it's just unbreakable," Barbara said.
"If that was me, I would be happy that my child is smiling and has someone to look up
to and be there for them until I get back.
When Dan gets back, Brian's going to cry and run to him with open arms."
Were you touched to see how Dean has befriended Brian while his dad is gone?
So share this!

Health and Weight Loss Tips - Duration: 3:55.
welcome to FitNCalm I'm Khushpinder and today let's see what are the things
that you should do if you want to have a very healthy lifestyle and if you want
to lose some weight . So losing weight is a lot about making lifestyle changes
than just doing exercise or yoga of course those things they help but they
can help just maybe twenty to thirty percent the rest of it is all about your
lifestyle and about your eating habits food plays a very major role. Eat fresh,
eat foods that give you a lot of prana that make you feel good and uplifted so
the size of your stomach ideally is this much . This is the size that your stomach
can handle, so this is the amount of food we should be consuming. If you are cooking
your meals, have them within three to four hours. Avoid refrigerated foods as
much as possible. The prana actually goes away when you refrigerate the food . So
fresh foods are much more energizing than the ones that are taken out from
the refrigerator. For any of the packaged foods please read the labels carefully.
Another thing you have to take care of is sleep. So sleep on time and sleep for
at least six to eight hours. If you are not sleeping on time your body will not
have enough time to recover, it will be always under stress and if you're
wanting to lose weight it will be difficult to do so if you're not getting
proper amount of rest, proper amount of sleep. So sleep well and sleep on time
and sleep for about six to eight hours at least. One more thing you need to take
care of is the amount of water you take. Have about three to four litres,
Again the weight of your body and the height of your body play an important
role in knowing how much water you should drink or if you are sitting for
long hours in a job, you don't have too much activity , you're sitting in an AC
all day long or if you are in a very cold environment, it's okay to have a little
less water but two liters of water you should have. One glass of water when you
wake up and one glass of water just before you sleep is a good idea. And
whatever you do don't forget to do some yoga and don't
forget to meditate. Those are things that will help calm your mind, those are
things that will make everything good with your body and your mind and it'll
greatly enhance your chances of losing weight or you know just being healthy in
general. Please don't go on any crazy diets. Anything that you cannot sustain
for a long time it's not usually a good idea. Don't go by the weighing scale a
lot of the times if you're working out or if you've been doing physical
activity good amount of physical activity your weight might be constant
but you might be losing inches. I nstead what you can do to judge is see how
you're feeling if you're feeling good about yourself if you're feeling
energized those are the things you should judge by rather than going for a
particular body type or for a particular weight go for being healthy. Every body is
different so just be healthy. That's all :) If you like our video do like, comment and

What Is Choiceless Awareness? | J. Krishnamurti - Duration: 10:18.
Hello everyone and welcome to today's talk.
So today I'd like to talk about the question, "What is choiceless awareness?"
Now can we talk about this by merely answering this question or describing this state of
choiceless awareness?
Now isn't the term, "Choiceless awareness" only a mere snapshot of the actuality of it?
Because immediately, once we talk about what choiceless awareness is, we believe that it
is this "thing."
And therefore, we try to enact it, bring it about or try to maintain this state right?
And therefore, that implies choosing to be choicelessly aware, therefore, are we seeing
the contradiction there?
And choiceless awareness, the "actuality" of it, implies no choosing, no choice, whatsoever.
So I feel that we have to go into this completely differently.
So instead can we talk about the choosing process and therefore, ourselves, come to
an understanding of what choiceless awareness is?
So what is this choosing process?
How do we navigate through this, through understanding this?
Now isn't our thinking process or choosing process... isn't that machinery?
It is like an automated targeting system.
It is always operating, recording everything in our ongoing experience, just like everything
we do on a computer.
The hard drive records it and saves it and stores it up as memory.
This brain is a machine, it stores up our past experiences into the brain cells as memory.
And there we begin to act, communicate and everything we do is memory right?
Because we are using words that we have learned, we are basically doing things in order to
get somewhere, to get answers, to achieve, to become, etc. all that.
So therefore, why does this choosing process believe that it can come to or discover a
sense of completeness, wholeness?
Meaning this choosing process is like a targeting system, because our thoughts respond to whatever
our senses pick up.
Thought sense, touch, smell, taste, our thought responds to that.
And the human organism is limited to the range of our senses.
How far I can see.
How extensive my arm goes out to touch whatever is around me.
What I can smell in my particular area that I'm in...
So our senses are always limited to this center, this range of this particular human body,
physical organism and our thought responds to that, it records that, stores it up in
the brain cells as memory, as thought and therefore, it desires the other.
So thought is targeting.
It's always targeting looking for complete, permanent, satisfaction correct?
Without dissatisfaction.
So if I smell something wonderful, like, let's say a fresh salad in the afternoon...
I smell that and my thought responds to that and I want to choose to smell that again.
However, once I leave the room that the salad is in and I go outside, I smell cow manure.
And therefore, we try to do away with with one aspect and try to go back and achieve
a previous experience that we've had before.
Now why does thought think that it can achieve complete, satisfaction?
The actual fact of life is its wholeness.
It contains both of the opposites, satisfaction and dissatisfaction, yet through countless
training, our minds have been trained to believe that we can pursue Happiness, Truth, Enlightenment
and we can achieve that, that there is some sort of way the past can come to this permanent,
complete State of Bliss, of Happiness, we call it many different things, but I feel
that everything that we have contributed in this society, everything that we do, is against
this fact of life, that every "thing" contains everything.
So therefore, if we desire or if we want to choose one thing, in that has both the satisfaction
and dissatisfaction… any direction we choose.
So therefore, is it a matter of making the right choice or not?
Is it a matter of going back thinking, "I should have done this or I should not have
done that."
How can the process, which is always unfinished, incomplete...
How can that ever completely know what was the right decision, what was the right choice?
Or if I'm going to make the right decision or the right choice now?
Can it ever completely know?
Being limited down to my particular human body and my range of sensory perceptions...
How can that incomplete tool or mechanism have the complete answer?
There are scientists who are always gathering data and they're always gathering, gathering,
gathering data in order to come to a complete conclusion, but they never do.
They just get tired of collecting data, data and data over time, that they just give up
and stop wherever they are, but it's always limited.
There's always more data to acquire, to gather.
So every choice we come to inevitably becomes something that requires more choices, more
decisions and those choices/decisions we come to require more and more because thought,
always being unfinished, incomplete... is inherently missing something and we desire
this full completeness.
We desire to fill up this missingness.
So we are once again caught in the cycle of trying to make the right choice, choosing
more and more again and again.
So that's all I wanted to talk about in this video when it comes to choiceless awareness.
Thank you all for watching and listening and I'll see you all next time, bye.
