The New Small YouTuber Tag - Duration: 3:58.

it's supposed to be a secret (referring to my very obvious bangs that I am going to make multiple sketches about)

Cut

-we're in focus now! -Yes, was I not before?

hello I am Athena and I'm going to make

another talking into the camera video because my last one went really really well

(whiny voice) Reddit's gonna make fun of me again

the first thing in the tag is to describe my content in one sentence

how would you describe my content

-comedy?

-(laughter) comedy QUESTION MARK?

COMEDY???

-Sometimes muSIC?! -Breaking down boundaries

-sometimes..... vlogs? kind of?!

next question is what I used to edit?

and I use iMovie

I think in the future I want to get uhh "pro cut"? is that what it's called?

-You mean "Final Cut"?

(laughs in stupid)

next question is which big youtubers would you love to collab with?

I would love to be on Good Mythical Morning

I freaking love Jacksfilms

Shane Dawson, Ryland, Garrett, that whole crew

CollegeHumor holy crap

I'm in college I have a sense of humor

but all those people in college humor are like 30

so I don't know

maybe maybe someday

Do I fit the new monetization guidelines?

no

and I have a long way but that is my end of the year goal

when we are entering 2019 I would like to have a thousand subscribers

and I know that is a long shot

but if I reach 1000 subscribers by the end of the year mark my words

I will wear my prom dress to my University and make a fool of myself

so that's something to look forward to! hit that subscribe button

see me eliminate any chances of making friends

if I had better resources to make videos

what kind of content what I make I would be traveling all over the world

I don't know what exactly I would do but I just want to shoot on location all the time

there's so many videos I have (in mind) that would require such big casts

so casting and location probably

-go!

do you support any other small you tubers?

and there's two I know in real life Stef Drinks Water who is a makeup guru

and Brooke Elardo who has two different channels she does covers and story times

and then other people that I've met they like different Facebook groups and stuff

not met but people who I watch their content

skinnysamurai he's hilarious

I don't know how he doesn't have a million subscribers

his humors very similar to Jacksfilms

I love Ron Gross he does the RuPaul's Drag Race reviews

a new channel that I just recently subscribed to is Creative Revival

and they do very dry humor like "The Office" but it's about a struggling actor

so like me

so the next question was list three hobbies outside of YouTube (Not A QUESTION)

so I act on my YouTube so I'm not sure that counts but I love singing

which I also do on my youtube

so...

acting, singing and also

I love painting even though I'm not very good at it

this is a flower

this is a mountain

and this is some dark shit

that I did for a scene that I was in called Keely and Du

a scene from Keely and Du

yeah if somebody found this out of context

they would be very concerned

(laughs) is that it?

-where do you want your YouTube channel to be pretty soon?

if you've ever seen the youtuber Jessie Paege I really like where she's at

in terms of popularity and also with people connecting with her personality

I would love to be the kind of person to be able to do sketches and music

but I also want to be more personable on my channels

so that is it

and does pineapple belong on pizza?

I don't even like pineapple so I have a very biased answer of no

but you can do whatever you want, man

Weaning Off Of The Gentle Leader Head Collar- So It's Not Always Necessary! - Duration: 4:19.

- You know, a common concern that people have

when they're choosing the Gentle Leader

as a training tool is that they feel like

they're going to be dependent on it forever.

Every time they are gonna to take their dog out for a walk,

they need to put the Gentle Leader on it.

And, I can tell you that's just not the case.

Now, if you haven't seen our video

on Gentle Leader fitting and usage

I'll post a card for it above me.

But I'll also post a link in the description.

Now, today we're going to talk to McCann Dogs

head instructor Steve Walsh about

how to wean off using the Gentle Leader.

I'm Ken Steepe, and welcome back to McCann Dogs.

(guitar strumming)

(dog barking)

- Hey guys, how are you?

Steve here, from McCann Dogs, I'm back to talk to you

a little bit more about Gentle Leaders.

In our last video we talked to you about

how they can be a great tool for success with our dogs,

especially some of our bigger, more excited dogs

that need a little help and need

that little bit of extra control, Skye, stand.

And one of the things that I hear most often

is that a Gentle Leader is a permanent piece of equipment.

And, I even spent last weekend

down at a veterinarians conference in Niagara Falls.

And talked to several people about

how it can be a great tool for success, But

it's not something that needs to be a permanent fixture.

Now, as we know, the Gentle Leader

in its full capacity with the head collar

and the nose loop gives you great control

and really has a nice calming benefit on the dogs.

And a lot of people do find when that whole thing comes off

their dog goes to be a little bit more excited.

But, there are steps to work off of the Gentle Leader.

It doesn't have to be an on or off situation.

One of the things to keep in mind

is building success in your dogs.

And that is the purpose of this tool.

So, when your dog is really working well with you

and being calm and really focused on working with you,

that's the perfect opportunity

to look at weaning off of it.

And step one, is simply taking the nose loop

of the Gentle Leader off.

We can work a stage, where there nose loop isn't on

but I still have the benefit of this nice high collar

which gives me great control on the dog.

So when your dog is working well together with you

and they are a little bit calmer.

Your first step to weaning off that Gentle Leader

is simply taking the nose loop

sliding it off the nose of your dog.

Now, I don't want you to take that nose loop out

and have this big buckle hanging down here

that can potentially hit your dog in the face.

What I want you to do is, take that clip,

clip it right back up underneath here

where that nose loop goes back together.

This gives me the benefit of a nice high collar

that when I need to move my dog

I can just help her along with my voice

and that leash as need be.

Now, one of the things to keep in mind

is once we've made this change

it's important to build some success

and some stationary skills.

So, maybe ask my dog to sit, sit Skye, sit please.

Good girlie, I can sit and reward her

simply for holding a nice calm sit.

And then, I can maybe work walking some circles.

Let's go, good girl, let's go, what a good puppy dog.

And I can again build on that success

of her moving with me on a loose leash

without the benefit of that nose loop.

Now the important thing to keep in mind

is work to your dogs success.

If things get a little too exciting

your dog starts to get a little too stimulated

we can simply reverse the steps

to get that nice, calm, control back again.

I can take that clip, unclip it from that key ring

feed that nose loop out from the center, it takes a second.

I can calmly praise my dog if she's doing so.

Then I can simply slip that nose loop back over my dog,

reset it, and I'm back into full Gentle Leader control.

The biggest thing to keep in mind

when using any tool like the Gentle Leader,

is work to your dogs success.

If they are a little bit too excited by

the environment around them, use the benefits

of both the nose loop and the head collar.

But, if you're in an environment

where they are listening well,

you're working well together, then by all means

start to take those steps to wean off

this powerful tool that we have, to really help build your

and your four legged family members relationship.

- So, I want to thank McCann Dogs

head instructor Steve Walsh for sharing

some of those tricks and tips for

how to wean off the Gentle Leader.

But, if you haven't seen the Gentle Leader

video we made a little while ago,

I'll post a link to it in the description below.

And you should definitely check it out.

The Gentle Leader can be a really great training tool

for you to use to your advantage.

Now, if this is your first time on the channel

make sure you hit that subscribe button.

We publish new videos every single week

to help you spend some quality time

with your four legged family member.

On that note, I'm Ken.

- I'm Steve.

- Happy Training.

Eastern Ghouta: Inside a makeshift shelter - Duration: 1:40.

These children may be smiling for the cameras,

but conditions in this makeshift shelter,

a dark, crowded basement,

are less than optimal.

One man, who is afraid to be seen on camera,

said there was no bathroom and only one toilet for 300 people.

"There are 300 people living in danger,

and we are forced to live like this,

with one toilet for all of us.

Old, young and sick."

Food and medicine shortages persist in the region,

which has been plagued by a fresh wave of bombardment

since the Syrian army latest offensive began

three weeks ago.

Cracked ceilings are a sign of damage from recent airstrikes,

the latest of which struck the building

as recently as Sunday.

"Every place we go, we're attacked.

Yesterday, three shells and two airstrikes hit this shelter,

and now all the foundations are damaged.

Look at it!

It's completely uninhabitable.

It's not even safe to put chickens in!"

On Monday,

the region's largest rebel groups said

wounded people would begin to be evacuated from the enclave,

following a U.N.-brokered agreement with Russian forces.

According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights,

at least 1.600 people have been killed in the Eastern Ghouta

since Syrian government forces relaunched their offensive,

with the Syrian army overtaking more than half the area.

The region is home to 400.000 civilians,

half of which are children.

Now entering its eighth year,

the civil war has cost the lives of hundreds of thousands

since it began in 2011.

German Tactics For 1918 Spring Offensive I THE GREAT WAR Special - Duration: 8:23.

The First World War was modern war, and total war, and many traditional tactics and strategies

no longer worked.

Over the course of the war, all of the armies developed new weapons and new doctrines.

We've done specials about a variety of these things, but this is the final installment

of the evolution of the German army in World War One.

I'm Indy Neidell; welcome to a Great War special about the German army in 1917 and

1918.

During that time period, Quartermaster General Erich Ludendorff made fundamental changes

to the German army based on his experiences in warfare on the Eastern Front.

The German army in 1915 and 1916 under Chief of Staff Erich von Falkenhayn was stuck in

the old doctrine of the immovable battlefield.

He believed that every inch of ground had to be contested or, if lost, be recaptured

immediately.

This led to horrendous casualties, since there was no flexibility for things like using more

favorable terrain, or moving vulnerable troops out of range of enemy fire.

Whole battalions were lost in "the least imaginative offensive of the war", as some

historians describe Verdun, where German soldiers advanced into killing fields.

When Paul von Hindenburg and Ludendorff visited Verdun after replacing Falkenhayn in charge

of the armies, they agreed that to win the war would require a complete re-thinking of

Germany's tactical approach.

Ludendorff had learned on the eastern front that ground itself was not important, fighting

power was.

He instructed not only his senior commanders in his doctrines, but also NCOs and even front

line platoon leaders in a new line of tactical commands.

In 1917, he issued "Principles of command in the Defensive Battle in position warfare"

and in 1918 "the Attack in Position Warfare".

The endless expanses of Russian territory showed the limits of operational warfare,

and commanders there valued tactical success.

Operational warfare had always been the traditional emphasis of the German General Staff, but

it certainly couldn't annihilate the Russian army in a two front war.

Even against, Romania, which was a textbook case of operational maneuvering warfare, they

couldn't annihilate the entire Romanian army.

See, before 1914, the word "breakthrough" didn't even appear in many military handbooks.

It was too dangerous and the attacking armies moved too slowly for it to work.

Operations meant massive enveloping movements, but these were just not possible anymore,

certainly not on the Western Front.

What good were strategic objectives in trench warfare?

But breakthrough is what Ludendorff wanted to achieve, and to do so he needed the expertise

of two men.

One was Oskar von Hutier.

He had not only studied the experiences of German assault troops in battle, but also

German analysis of enemy tactics, in particular French "movement and fire" doctrine and

the shock troop tactics of Russian General Brusilov.

He refined this to maximum effectiveness.

Instead of assault waves that stacked up against centers of enemy resistance, he envisioned

quick infiltration movement.

Storm troops were to penetrate the enemy's weak spots and bypass the strong, which would

surround and isolate them.

There would be a system of leaps and bounds; as one group advanced, another would cover

them, and they would move rapidly through enemy lines.

To increase their firepower, they were equipped with the newly developed light machine gun,

the MG 08/15 - six of them per company.

Reserves would be sent in to either mop up the isolated strong points, or to follow into

the breaches.

Unlike earlier, they would only be sent in where attacks were successful, and decentralized

assault squads could attack the enemy from the flanks or the rear.

But his whole system would only work by relying on shock and an already weakened defense system.

That's where the other man comes in.

Georg Bruchmüller.

Bruchmüller was an artillery genius by any standard, and he designed a system to work

with the shock troops.

His preliminary artillery barrage was in three phases over just five hours.

This was very different from what the allies did.

To avoid a lengthy, less effective barrage, targets would be meticulously mapped and pre-registered.

Bruchmüller did not believe that destroying the enemy defense system was possible, but

neutralizing it was.

Phase one was half an hour long, aimed at troop concentrations and communication hubs,

and was mostly gas shells.

Phase two was two and a half hours long.

This was aimed at each enemy gun identified by aerial photography or that had fired back

in phase one.

It was 50/50 gas and high explosive shells.

Phase three was two hours of mostly high explosives aimed at both infantry and artillery.

A creeping barrage would open near the end of that phase, under which the German infantry

would advance.

The barrage was flexible and would halt at points, waiting for the infantry's pyrotechnic

signal to continue.

Bruchmüller's artillery relied heavily on gas shells.

Long gone were simple gas screens that offered only moments of shock value; the new system

had three agents, sorted by colors.

There was Blue Cross, which was non-persistent and non-lethal, but clogged gas masks and

forced their removal.

Green cross was non-persistent, but was lethal, while Yellow Cross was persistent, lethal,

but also blistered exposed skin.

To achieve synergy, blue and green crossed were fired simultaneously right in front of

an advance.

They would dissipate before German troops arrived.

Yellow Cross was shot at enemy flanks or artillery, and its persistent nature would close off

those areas and slow or eliminate counter attacks - the Germans called this "Buntschießen".

Bruchmüller believed gas had a higher suppression factor than high explosive shells, so his

artillery didn't have to fire as often and could be used with less accuracy when targets

were not well-identified.

Doing all of this required reorganizing German artillery units from defensive to offensive

engagement.

For defensive fire they had been de-centralized, so he had to re-centralize them, which had

the advantage of using fewer but better trained artillery officers.

Divisional artillery would work in close battle, and Corps artillery in deep battle.

For maximum effect, the artillery had to be concealed until the final moment.

It was to destroy control of the defense system, not the system itself.

Without the ability to coordinate, the enemy could not effectively respond, and suppressed

and confused soldiers would be overwhelmed by the shock troops while their system of

command was disrupted.

There was also aircraft developed specifically to help disrupt the enemy.

They were designed to strafe ground troops with machine guns and drop small bombs, and

they had extra armor on their undersides.

Slower than fighter planes, they flew as low as possible and would distract the enemy at

just the moment his eyes should be focused in front of him.

The assault at Riga and the counterattack at Cambrai had shown the effectiveness of

the combined system.

That last as the first successful methodical assault by German troops on the Western Front

since Verdun ended, and the enemy, unused to playing defense, now faced a meticulously

planned system that was brutally effective.

These were the tactics that were used to the greatest degree in the German Spring Offensives

of 1918 - the Kaiserschlacht, but most of them would remain in the German army handbook

until well into the Second World War.

We want to thank Markus Linke for doing the research for this episode.

We now have a whole playlist containing our episodes about the German Army evolution during

the war and you can revisit that right here.

Napoleon's Penis Stolen?!? - The History - Duration: 5:02.

So, I've been thinking a lot about Napoleon's Penis.

Recently, while visiting Napoleon's tomb in Paris, a massive granite sarcophagus inside

an imposing dome, I couldn't stop thinking about how even in death, he was probably compensating

for something.

Which brought me to the little fact that in front of me wasn't all of the Little Corporal…

You see, after his invasion of Russia, Napoleon hadn't made himself very popular in Europe

- and it wasn't long until he was removed from power.

After regaining the throne in France, Louis the 18th, sent the Emperor Napoleon into Exile

on a small island not too far off the coast of Italy, called Elba.

In the span of 100 days, Napoleon escaped the island, made his way back into France,

rallied the French Army back to his side, sent Louis running, and was defeated once

again by the rest of Europe at Waterloo.

This time, they weren't messing around and the English banished Napoleon to an island

in the middle of the Atlantic called St Helena, where he would stay until his death in 1821

under circumstances that are still up for debate.

This is where the story gets weird.

While preparing the body for burial, the French doctor Francesco Autommarchi decides to take

some souvenirs.

He pockets a rib and in one of the most infamous moments in medical history, decides to take

the penis

How can we be sure?

There were 17 witnesses in the room watching him do this.

The rest of Napoleon is buried on St Helena.

The English, having no agreement on what to call him, mark the grave, "Here Lies..."

He is eventually moved to Paris and even though he wanted to be buried by the river, his body

is displayed for all to see in a cathedral.

Which H*tler will visit during World War II, But that's another story.

Back to the penis.

The French doctor gifts the penis to the Emperor's Chaplain, Abbe Ange Vignali.

He takes the Penis to Corsica, but he's killed in a blood vendetta.

Still, the member will stay with his family for over 100 years.

This must have made for some interesting last will and testaments.

The Penis would pass through several hands before 1924, when it ends up in the possession

of a London book seller and cataloged in a very English discreet manner as "a mummified

tendon."

He sells it to an English collector, ASW Rosenbach for 400 pounds who brings it with him to Philadelphia,

US of A. In 1927, the penis would be displayed at The French Art Museum in New York.

Newspaper critics of the time were unimpressed.

By 1969, the Museum is strapped for cash and returns the Penis home to Paris for auction.

However, the French aren't too keen and It does not sell.

The French government were even offered the Penis, but they wanted nothing to do with

it.

8 years later, it is finally bought by Dr. John K Lattimer, one of the most renowned

American Urologists for $3,000.

Dr. Lattimer was THE urologist for N*zi's at the Nuremberg trials, worked on the autopsy

of John F Kennedy (I assume as a Urologist?), from which he kept a piece of the upholstery

of the car JFK was shot in.

He also had procured the bloodstained collar of Abraham Lincoln.

So what happened to the penis?

You might think "this deserves to be in a museum…"

No.

Dr. Lattimer brought it back to his home in New Jersey, where his family still have it,

in a box.

X-rays have confirmed that it is indeed, well, a penis.

The French, of course, deny this entire story.

Oh and fact: it's one and a half inches.

*mummified
