What is blue light?

Blue Light

Definition: Light that is blue.

So, what kind of evil is blue light?

Why is it so terrifying?

Well, there's nothing wrong in that definition.

On the spectrum, blue light is indeed blue electromagnetic

wave with a wave length of around 400-500 nm.

It is visible light with a larger amount of energy.

There are three common explanations as to why blue light is harmful to your eyes.

First, blue light will exhausts the eyes.

News reports say that blue light has short wave length and high energy.

It makes your eyes focus too intensely,

your ciliary muscles tense,

and worse of all your eyes may ache or intensify myopia

From this point you are probably thinking,

Oh yeah, when I am playing games, watching drama,

surfing Facebook or PTT,

my eyes really do get dry and exhausted more easily!

And so we have an error in attribution

Dr. Khurana, spokesperson of the American Academy of Ophthalmology said,

The main reason your eyes feel exhausted

is "insufficient blinking" and "bad environment for the eyes"

It is not the electronic devices that directly cause dryness and exhaustion

Second, blue light is linked to the cause of AMD?

The press and commercials often use this

to advise (threaten) the public to buy products

but there is no substantial evidence in scientific journals to prove this point

The US National Eye Institute (NEI) attributes the increasing of macular degeneration cases

to the increase of the age of the population

It also explained that the main causes for macular degeneration are:

Smoking

Racial differences

Family history

DNA

dietary habits… etc

and suggestions to lower risks are quitting smoking

regular exercise

maintaining a normal blood pressure

eating more green leafy vegetables and fruits… etc

Did you notice?

Nothing is said about "using electronic devices!"

Third, blue light disturbs sleep cycle?

Light, especially blue light

is a signal that the brain will mistaken for the sun rising

Research has proven that blue light does delay

or stops the brain from secreting melatonin,

making it harder for you to fall asleep

This is the time when doctors think is a time when using anti-blue light products makes some sense

But to tell the truth

It's not just light

Picking up your cell phone, which leads you to a world of richnesses:

the entertaining stimulus,

the sound effects,

and the messages that keep popping up all influence the ability to sleep

Don't keep swiping your cell phone screen or chuckle over something on your computer

What are you doing

Ok, friends, I hear you talking:

It doesn't matter whether anti-blue light products work,

I'm just buying for security!

What if blue light will make me lose my eyesight?

What if the world is really coming to an end?

Of course you can find a storage room to hide in on the day of Apocalypse

But so far

Scientists can only prove

that the ultraviolet rays from the sun will harm your eyes

So there's no problem in wearing sunglasses on a sunny day out

As for blue light

The American Academy of Ophthalmology has said

They don't think it is necessary

to use anti-blue light products such as blue light screen protection

We're not even sure if this product

has more pros and cons

Don't get us wrong

We're not saying blue light is perfectly fine

and allowing you to swipe your phone screens in bed

We're simply trying to remind you

that while you are drowning in the sea of fright from the news presses about blue light

you don't have to be too scared of it

and filter all the blue light at home,

making it look like those retro photos from the 60s with a yellow sheen

Moreover,

You receive blue light from the sun every day

and that's way more than that from the artificial lights indoors

The University of Colorado compared two groups of people in a research

one group made camp outdoors and one indoors in wintertime

The group outdoors got 13 times the exposure of the indoor group

Not to mention the blazing sun in summer

So before you protect yourself from blue light from electronic devices

you should shield off the sun

Our Health Promotion Administration suggests

That we rest our eyes for ten minutes after we use them for 30 minutes

I personally prefer the suggestions from the American Academy of Ophthalmology

that is, use your eyes for 20 minutes, rest for 20 minutes while looking at a 20 feet distance.

As a workaholic

I really have nowhere to go for a 10 minutes rest

13 French Words You Pronounce Incorrectly - Duration: 11:01.

Hi everyone, I'm Suzy S. Welcome to my channel. In today's video we're going to

learn how to pronounce a few French words. So I'm gonna show you words like

this, with like little cards and I'm going to try and pronounce them as ... I'm

going to try and articulate as much as I can and hopefully you're going to find this video helpful .

So the first word is: litérature. LEE-TÉ-RA-TURE.

So it's literature in English and you pronounce it this way. If you ... hopefully you

can see this little card and what's written on it. If you don't, you'll see ... (?)

in editing I'm just gonna add something, but anyway ... so it's LEE-TÉ-RA-TUR.

See with many French words you often don't pronounce the last letter; so 'e' here you

don't pronounce it. So it's: LEE-TÉ-RA-TUR . Litérature.

This one ... it's actually the ... how you pronounce this word. If you drink wine or if you have

people around you who drink wine, this might come ... might come up quite often.

It's Sauvignon Blanc, and see just like I said with the previous word, we don't pronounce the

C. So it's not 'blank'. It's Blan. So Sauvignon Blanc.

SAU-VI-GNON. BLAN. Sauvignon Blanc.

This one might be a little bit easy for some of you, but ... this is how we write an ...

alcohol in French. So instead of alcohol, we say ALCOL. So we don't pronounce

one of the 'o'. ... so alcool. AL-COL. COL. Alcol.

Of course working in theatre I couldn't not put this word in this video today. So theatre

and in French we pronounce it: TÉ-ATR. So we don't pronounce it, TÉ-ATR-E. Like ... with the

previous words you don't pronounce the e at the end, and we don't pronounce the H

So it's TÉ-ATR. Théatre.

This one ... actually I wanted to, because I'm from a

town nearby there, I wanted to choose Paris obviously, but I thought you know,

that France is not only Paris, right. So I chose to choose the rival of Paris, the

rival in football actually ... and pretty much everything else. And so it's Marseille.

It's a town in ... a city, big city in the south east of France, which may have had

with L'Olympiquede Marseille which is their football team, which is a very good

football team and just like a Paris one, and ... so Marseille. I've heard is ... a few

people trying to pronounce it with just a little bit of difficulty - usually people

are able to pronounce it quite well, it's just the E-I-double L-E. It's like Marcel.

Like the like the first name right, but It's actually -MARR-SAY-LLE. So the S-E, here

it's not the Z sound, it's like a serpent ... it's like a 'S' sound. So it's MAR-SAY-LLE. Marseille.

This one is ... if I remember correctly is spelled the same way, with one exception

to the English word, so it's 'Athlète'or athlete in English, and you can see the

difference I'm talking about is the little accent here just on top of the 'e'

It's a "EH"sound. So it's A-TLAIT. Once again we don't

pronounce the 'e' at the end so it's 'Athlète'.

This one is a bit of food because

you know ... French ... and it's one that sparked a bit of controversy a few years back

they tried to ... they haven't tried, they did it .They reformed ...they did it like some

legislation to try and make the French language to be easier, and this is the

way, to me in my generation, the way this world was taught to us. How we spell it.

So it's 'Oignon'. So onion ... you see here it's O-I-G-N-O-N. Oignon. So how I learn how to

spelled it, to spell it rather, but this is the new and official way to spell

onion in french, because you can see with ... with this the ... actually we don't

pronounce the 'i'. So for ... is it the right way, yes it's the right way. So for the

French Academy it made sense to remove the 'i', which they're a bit right

I guess, but you know being a bit stubborn people, I and so many oth ... many

other people don't want this 'i' to disappear anyway. So, oignon you can spell it

this way. This is still accepted. Last time I checked, this was still accepted,

this way of spelling 'oignon', was still accepted, but you can write 'oignon" this way as well.

With this one I thought maybe why not implement another cliché in this

video. So it's because I wear well ... wear some quite often actually. It's the French or

Brittany rather very famous t-shirt, it's la marinière. Marinière.

So MA-RI-NIAIR. Once again we don't pronounce the 'e' at

the end, and here it's 'eh' sound again. So it's MA-RI-NIAIR. Marinière.

With this one you might found the difficulty to be at the end once again, with the ... those

letters here. So it's: U-I-double L-E, and because there's a L here it ... some

people pronounce it YEU, but actually it's

TRAN-KILL. Tranquille. In many French words the U-I-double L-E, you pronounce YEU, like TRAN-QUILL-EUX,

but for some reason once again we don't pronounce one of the -l- and the

'e', so it's TRAN-KILL.

Actually with this one so often, once again it's because many people

make the mistake of pronouncing the 'T' at the end and some people do add an 'e' at the end.

Very famous people (person obvs!) who recently did it was Katy Perry in her "Bon Appétit" video

song. Video song! A song called bon appétit I think it was, but actually it's

bon appétit. Bon appétit. Strangely like I said with ... like I said with

previous words we don't pronounce the 'T' and we don't have the 'e' at the end and

there's an accent here. So we don't pronounce ... we add letters that we don't

pronounce, but with this we pronounce letters that aren't here, which is a bit strange

in my opinion, but eh what can we do. So it's BONNE, like ... So with this one we add

another 'N' and an 'e', which we don't pronounce, but still we add it anyway. So it's

BONNE; like ... "Une bonne pizza". So BONNE-A-PÉTI. Bon Appétit.

... If you go to Pret à Manger or ... what else?

Paul, Starbucks, Costa Coffee and the likes or if she buy your croissant

at Tesco or Sainsbury's and all those supermarkets [or at an actual bakery shop], you might have tried to pronounce it,

you might have heard people pronounce it, but it's croissant. Not croissante. Once again

there's no 'e' at the end and we don't pronounce the 't' and this is very good :D

Lingerie ... you might pronounce it LIN-JURY, because of the 'g' here and the 'e', but it's

LINGE. So LINGE is like clothes, bed linen etcetera. So LINGE-RI. So pronounce this first,

LINGE and then we pronounce this, RI. Lingerie.

I could not do "How to pronounce a few French words" without telling you how to pronounce my name à la française.

So, although this is actually I think a English-y name because it's from

Susan or just Susie. So in England and the US and many other english-speaking

countries, people will say this as SOO-ZY. So with the 'u' as OU, but in France we say SU-ZY.

Suzy. So ... Suzy is how you pronounce my name à la française.

Et voilà that was "How you pronounce those words à la francaise". So in the French way. I hope you liked

• Why do you think that most crypto currencies cannot find the key to implement scalability?

Whether luck or not, pascal was born as a project from scratch, giving the freedom of creating a different

blockchain structure without using the btc code and hence allowing a new safebox structure to solve

scalability, which as we know, is very difficult with btc, this is an important factor ...

when created from 0, it allowed the luxury to envision how it could grow without major

underlying problems in the future, unlike what we are seeing in btc ...

• What were your thoughts when you learned that PascalCoin was being mined by the Ethereum miners?

I was very concentrated in the development, so it took me a while to find out,

, at the beginning it stroke me as a positive thing as I thought those who mine eth also dedicate

resources to pascal, with time, we've obviously realized that something must be done to address this issue...

... the least known currency is the one that loses when one aces dual-mining... there are proposals

so that there is no mining dual ... we are at a point where everything is not perfect but we have some clear roadmap to fix it.

• What is your vision of Pascal within 1 year?

I want to see a natural evolution similar to what we have experienced in the last year, growth due to the

technology that Pascal uses (safebox) and thanks to it that the code could implement new functionalities and

the knowledge grows ... obviously we depend on the massive use, therefore , we must provide third-party

applications. Also the diffusion of content explaining how it works and its advantages and general knowledge

of the technology.

• Are you working to make the user experience the ideal one to achieve this goal?

This is an expected change in the immediate future, the user experience. Bank-type accounts in Pascal

are an advantage, but if it is true that the wallet is very technical and not visual enough, this is the most

important part ... it must be very intuitive, easy access, similar to the existing ones while keeping the technical

part intact.

• What kind of advantage do you think it gives you to be the first crypto to solve the problem of scalability?

I hope it gives us an advantage ... being the first is not an advantage in itself, but not only the first, but being in

constant evolution and adapting to new needs, we personally achieve that as Pascal can interact with layer

2 protocols so that thanks to a single application you can have different interconnected. Since we have already

solved part of the problem with scalability, it allows us to anticipate in the present future problems

• What are all the advantages of programming with the FREE PASCAL code?

The language is not important but if it allows you to do what you are interested in is. I like Pascal's

functionalities and its interoperability and also as a language that can be compiled natively for any chip,

unlike other programs. I am interested in being able to use pascal node in very simple machines, so that is not

memory capacity, this in pascal is very fine tuned and works in very simple machines ...

necessary to be installed on large servers, and this gives an advantage over other cryptos that require greater

memory capacity, this in pascal is very fine tuned and works in very simple machines ...

• Have you done more tests of stress in transactions per sec? ¬ Could you clarify what is the maximum number of transactions that Pascal can get per Second?

A machine with a single cpu and that is where the nodes run, and 1 or 2 gbs of ram, transactions of 1,000 / sec are

are achieved ... how much can it grow? It will depend if we add CPU technology, processors, so that transactions

are much faster. Why 1,000 per second? Thanks to the safebox. The maximum would depend on the amount of

hardware, video cards, multiple cpus, parallel processing.

• Can Pascal aspire to get 1M tx/sec by the design of its technology?

We have not performed stress tests with larger machines, for the moment only in very simple machines

... stress tests have all accepted 1,000 / sec easily ... although theoretically we can grow much more, but I cannot you a figure.

Could the same concept of the safebox be written in another programming language? Why Pascal and not C

++ or another language with more use of programmers? Do not you think this limits the development via open source / open source?

Pascal is a language I dominated perfectly ... it was the most natural way to write it. if I had started with C

from 0, maybe I would not have done all the code from scratch nor created the safebox, thanks to this approach

it helps us solve the problem of scalability. Yes, it is true that it would be easier with C, but maybe in the future

we can rewrite in another language.

There is already a very important community but in percentage terms it is very inferior, although I must say

that there are still enough and the language of pascal is not so didactic but more visual and easily accessible, easily educational too.

• When do you expect to have the new algorithm available to mine Pascal?

The new algorithm is a proposal by Herman (random hash) that solves the problem of double mining and the

theoretical part is written, as it is a proposal of Herman, so I prefer that he is the first to implement and talk about

the new algorithm. We need to conduct a thorough analysis if can be implemented and what benefits

or inconveniences we may face. For now, I can say that it will not be implemented soon (in the next revision)

unless everything goes very fluid ... the factor of mining must also be taken into account ...

the mining must be sufficiently distributed among several miners but without reaching an extreme that is

too random, since this leads to the risks of orphaned blocks .. if they do not use a pool and instead their own

The most important thing is how this fund is managed. We must propose a fund management mechanism with

a legal structure such as a foundation with proper coverage so there are no problems nor doubts that we are only going to benefit the community.

About the marketing plan: The diffusion of Pascal in large exchanges is our main goal, this is the grand

objective that Pascal must have. I also must say that the UK exchange where we were listed holds some bright

future. We want to achieve new listings via the image of seriousness, integrity of the team, the technology we provide, that there is a plan for the future,

sense of unique project. This is the orientation that we should have for the marketing to generate enough confidence.

Was it unsettling when you found out of Poloniex's acquisition by Circle? Do you see it as a risk?

I have contacted Poloniex and there is no concern at all, they have provided re-assurance. Actually, the opposite

is true, the acquisition of Poloniex by Circle offers a great advantage as the exchange will evolve into a large

professional and fully regulated entity that will provide a bridge for institutional capital to come into the space, and that will benefit Pascal.

• What makes other cryptos such as IOTA or NANO have such a huge capitalization in front of Pascal?

Do you think it's just a marketing question? You do not think that based on the industry's standards, the project has an extremely low capitalization.

Although I do not know their technology in depth (Iota, Nano), there are 2 factors that have helped them,

the first reason is that they are included in different exchanges and then the marketing campaigns that have

been launched. They have done a great job combining both, that is, a good technology and good marketing

campaign. Pascal can also experience this growth cycle.

You do not think that based on the industry's standards, Pascal project has an extremely low capitalization?

Comparatively, it is nonsense that there is such a large disparity in market cap (Pascal 20-25million range

vs billions in Nano or Iota) or even with others that do not offer technology but only marketing. The factor of only listed in one large exchange is very limiting for now.

• What is the current activity and commitment in the development of PascalCoin?

Since a few weeks ago we have been exclusively focused on the evolution of the implementation of the

new Pascal hardcore with new features that were voted after proposed pips. The intention is that all pips will be

implemented or as worst case, only those that we consider to be safe as explained before. The objective is to grow the currency.

Now we have 3/4 developers and before 2 months we are expecting to be able to offer the solution and the implementation of version 3.

• How and when does PascalCoin plan to implement zk-SNARKS?

It is not a priority since it requires a deep analysis that I have not yet been able to perform.

Lastly, I want to thank the entire community at Pascal for all the involvement and commitment. I am convinced

that we will go much further. Pascal coin technology has a lot to offer.

• We also believe, as a personal note, that Pascal is set to achieve a lot due to its technology, integrity, empathy from the community, catch up in cap...

In the short term, marketing alone can give you a temporary boost but in the long term, only those who

combine marketing + technology will really go far and Pascal is one of these projects, no doubt.

As the crypto market matures into a more professional landscape, people will realize projects surviving on

marketing alone and those backed up by a genuine technology with a clear edge such as PascalCoin

damage lethal would you like to describe the manner of his demise I take my

dagger and I shove it up through the bottom of his chin and it pins his lower

jaw to his upper jaw suffering his tongue and then as he spasms and dies I

whisper into his ear who's your daddy so this very simple thing creates awesome

role-playing opportunities for your players during combat and it also

increases their engagement after all the DM isn't the only one that can or should

create killer descriptions yeah now not all of your players are going to like

doing this however lots of them will and those that like it will love it when I

first started doing this I really wasn't sure how it would go over with my

players I wasn't sure if they would like doing it not like doing it if they would

feel like I was putting on a spot but almost all of them took to it

immediately and started rattling off amazing descriptions I was really

impressed and most of my players loved doing it I even had one player

specifically mentioned that this is one of the things that he loved about my

game so now this is just how I wall okay okay I bet lots of you know where I got

this room 23 how do you wanna do this
