Youtube daily report Mar 14 2018

What's up guys Keanu here and this week we're taking a look at how I Iive my life back home.

So since I don't have class on Fridays the weekend really starts on Thursday and this

Thursday I just happened to go to a basketball game.

Alex, open up, open up.

Hey.

Oh baby oh baby oh my gosh.

Back with the boy, sup Alex?

Haha.

We won!

We won!

Let's go!

Woo!

Alright, let's leave.

That was thee longest like two seconds of my life.

I don't know about you but my ankles hurt and my knees hurt.

Dude, I'm getting too old for this stuff, I need to get like knee pads.

Once you hit 20, it goes downhill, I'm telling ya.

I started out the next day at work.

After that, I went home and here's what I did.

This is insane it snowed like five inches last night.

I don't know how I feel about this.

Well, let's just hope that did the trick.

That was thee most tedious thing I've ever had to do.

It took me literally an hour to get off campus today just because there's so much snow.

I got most the weekend off so we're going go ahead and

just have fun and just relax for once and just enjoy life.

OK, so we are in Sioux Falls right now and the first step is Sun and Fun Specialty Sports

Shop where I have a meeting with them to be a brand ambassador.

Sup Logan?

Hey man.

Long time no see.

I know.

Sun and Fun is the plug.

Just stopping by work to get my check, kinda busy outside so I probably shouldn't be back

here.

The boy.

What's up buddy, are you vlogging?

I am.

Ahh let's get it.

So this is thee uh place of employment on the weekend.

Great Bear Ski Valley.

Love it.

Seasonal job.

Great place to start learning.

Always overexplaining things, Jack.

I'm just here to get my check today.

Hey Joe.

How are you.

Umm this is a little awkward isn't it?

I was going to say something but then I forgot.

Oh.

This is Joe guys.

How are you guys?

It's a great job.

No.

Hey this dude right here, this dude Keanu, he sliced his finger by doing this.

Guilty.

It was great.

He did it he like got a chunk of his finger off.

It was one of these, too.

I'm going home now, charge up my batteries, get ready for the concert at seven, it's one

of my co-worker's concert so I'll be there taking pictures for her and her band.

And yeah, not too much for the rest of the day umm I'll catch up with you guys soon.

Thanks mother.

You're welcome.

What are you making today?

Oh no no no I'm not that look good look at my oh my goodness.

Alright so that concert was in downtown umm I would show you guys around some more but

I really want to get back and just sit around.

I haven't had time to do that in awhile and I can't wait to do that.

They got it.

Alright guys, let's go.

Alright Ryan, this is your vlog now.

Umm I got a pineapple right here if you want it.

So yeah, alright Ryan let's vlog.

Taking pictures, walking around because we have nothing better to do with our lives so

yeah.

It's OK though, it's fine.

Just spray it all over her.

Emma.

What?

Slept until noon today but ya know, that's fine that's what the weekends are for.

Alright so, Sunday, last day out in Sioux Falls for the weekend umm before we head out,

probably just gunna go to Great Bear and snowboard with some friends and get some clips doing

that and then probably just go to the pools, the indoor pools and do some stuff off the

diving board.

Umm yep see how that goes and afterwards I'll just catch up with you guys to conclude the

weekend I guess.

Alright so the time has come, finally heading back to Brookings.

That's pretty much my weekend life at home.

Uh different very different, a lot of different people but you know that's what I love about

it.

It's nice because it's close to school so I don't really regret going back every weekend

to just keep in touch with everybody.

The next big project is going to be in Big Sky, Montana, which is where we're at now

it's Spring Break for us so a bunch of us guys and Jordan decided to come out here for

a week and just live it up, ya know.

I just thought I'd share with you guys but you know for now if you're this far in the

video thanks for watching and as always please subscribe and comment let us know what you

think about this and yep I'll catch you guys in two weeks.

Barwon Health Patient Transport Service - Duration: 2:25.

I'm a driver for this program

and I'm also a Rotarian

I got sick three years ago

and I realised that I had a lot of support around me

a lot of family, a lot of friends

so I had no problem getting to my appointments

and I noticed when I was there one day that

people were saying "but how am I going to get home?"

and somebody said to them

"you'll have to catch a cab"

and I thought "that's really sad"

you know that they don't have family to support them

then I found out about

Barwon Health Transport Program

and I thought "I wanna do this"

"this is wonderful"

I have a lot of health issues

and I'm on dialysis

and that takes three days a week

Barwon Health Transport pick me up at the door

the drivers are great

the people that I go with we're all like a big family

Having Barwon Health and the transport

means a lot to me

because I don't have to worry about getting Pam

to her appointment, particularly dialysis

I'm very grateful to the service

very grateful for the people in the service

and knowing that Pam is in safe hands

wherever she has to go and I can't go

Things like this don't just happen

it has to be made to happen

I think anybody can help

just by donating five dollars

can give one person a trip for their appointment

that to me speaks volumes

you know I mean it's so important for them

to have that, the program so

if you can donate money, great

but also your time

if you're retired

I retired quite a few years ago now

and this just makes a whole difference to my week

it's lovely

so even if it's one day

if you've got the time to do it

come on-board 'cos it's great fun

2018 Nissan Titan XD - Duration: 4:39.

Goldilocks would be disappointed in the Titan XD.

It attempts to strike the "just right" balance between light- and heavy-duty pickups.

It has the trappings of a heavy-duty pickup: a bulky body, a beefy frame, and a torquey

diesel-engine option.

But in reality, its middling capability and performance are at best hardly better than

those of light-duty trucks.

Since the regular Titan already handles that class, the XD is a perplexing, in-between

proposition.

Its available Cummins V-8 diesel is exclusive to the XD model, but the powertrain's crude

operation and the litany of issues we experienced with our long-term example are alarming.

Those convinced that the big Nissan can balance daily use and work abuse will enjoy a better

ride than in its HD rivals, and they will appreciate supremely comfy seats and cool

cargo-bed options.

The Titan XD is neither great as a light-duty nor convincing as a heavy-duty pickup.HIGHS

Rides better than HD rivals, sensational Zero Gravity seats, cool cargo-bed accessories.

LOWS Atrocious diesel powertrain, middling towing

capability, bare-bones infotainment system.VERDICT Perfect for those perplexed by all those confusing

light- and heavy-duty pickup choices.

What's New for 2018?

After receiving two new body styles and a slew of new packages in 2017, the Titan XD

rolls into 2018 with a single alteration to the options list: Nissan's Midnight Edition

package.

It includes dark exterior elements and unique badging for a more sinister appearance.

The package is only available on crew-cab SV and SL models equipped with the optional

diesel engine and four-wheel drive; exterior color choices are limited to Magnetic Black,

Gun Metallic, and extra-cost Pearl White.

What Was New for 2017?

The Titan XD was all new in 2016; the major updates in 2017 were the addition of regular

and extended (king) cabs to the XD lineup.

Nissan also introduced five new option packages.

The Heavy-Duty Front GAWR package provides stiffer front springs.

The Leather package covers all seats in hide and adds front-passenger-seat power adjustments.

The Chrome and Texas Titan Edition packages slather chrome on practically every available

surface, including the 20-inch wheels; the Texas Titan Edition also includes unique badging.

The Platinum Reserve Bed Utility package bundles a rear-bumper step and a power-locking tailgate,

and it integrates storage boxes into the bed.

Trims and Options We'd Choose Since the Titan XD slots between light- and

heavy-duty pickups, we'd keep costs in check by selecting the SV Crew Cab that starts at

$42,695.

The diesel powertrain isn't worth the extra $4800, as it lacks refinement, and its towing

and payload ratings versus the gas engine remain relatively unchanged.

Adding four-wheel drive to any model costs about $3000, and we'd do so, because what

good is a truck that can't go everywhere you need it to go?

Standard features on the SV include:

• Bed-mounted gooseneck hitch and Class IV trailer hitch

• Power-adjustable, heated tow mirrors • Integrated trailer-brake controller

The Utility package ($1145) adds useful upgrades including a spray-on bedliner, LED box lighting,

and better rear-seat storage.

The SV Convenience package ($2695) is required with the Utility package and adds 20-inch

wheels, running boards, heated front seats, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, active safety assists,

and more.

After all that, our Titan XD SV costs $49,515.

Prince Zuko: My Disabled Representation - Duration: 4:32.

It's no surprise that I love Prince Zuko.

I have a few videos on my channel

where I either talked about Avatar The Last Airbender,

or specifically talked about how much I love Prince Zuko.

Even my first tattoo video which is

this tattoo, I talk about why I love Prince Zuko

and why I got this tattoo.

And if you know me personally you've

already heard my spiel on my love for him.

But I've never talked about on the internet

how Prince Zuko is my Disabled representation.

Now this confuses a lot of people at first

because when you think about Disability in the Avatar The Last Airbender world

most people think about Toph.

There are other Disabled characters but

Toph is the one people go to.

And yeah there were some things with Toph

that I related to but overall I just didn't relate to her.

As a kid I found myself gravitating towards Prince Zuko.

Now people can debate whether or not

they wanna identify him as Disabled.

And granted he is a fictional character,

So he can't himself tell you what he identifies as.

But there's a lot of things with his character

that for me says Disabled.

Which if you're new to my channel,

I am a Disabled Latina and Disabled is not a bad word.

So before you start commenting acting like it's bad word,

um it's not.

But you could say Prince Zuko is Disabled because

of the scar on his face.

Or the fact that he deals with a lot of PTSD.

He's dealt with a lot of abuse, has a lot of anxiety

and trust issues and anger issues.

In my eyes, he's a Disabled character.

And a very important Disabled character.

When I was a kid, the thing that

first gravitated me to Prince Zuko was the scar on his face.

Obviously I don't have a scar on my face

but I have the scar on my back that is huge.

And as a kid that didn't fully love their Spina Bifida,

or their scar, I felt a lot of anger towards my scar.

Every time I looked at it, it reminded me of all the surgeries

I've had, all the ones I'm gunna have in the future.

All the pain that came with it.

I was just an angry kid about it.

So when I saw Zuko who was also a kid in the series.

Be angry and talk about his scar the way I felt about my scar

I clicked, I clicked with him automatically.

And there's also the fact Prince Zuko's scar

he got it from his dad.

And granted my scar did not come from my dad

in the sense that my dad attacked me.

But I got my Spina Bifida because my dad was

involved in the Vietnam War.

So there was that parallel for me as well.

Throughout the series Prince Zuko grows

he leans to accept his scar, it's a part of him.

And it's a part of him that is painful.

But it doesn't control everything in his life.

He learns to love his scar, to love the person that he is

to trust help from other people.

And at the same time as these books were going on

I was learning with him.

With my disability and how I view my scar and

to this day, I don't fully love my scar.

But I'm a lot more confident with it.

I don't fully love my Spina Bifida but it's a part of me.

And it's an important part of me and I accept it.

And I don't think I would of gotten there

if it wasn't for Prince Zuko.

You know my Spina Bifida is a physical disability,

but for the way it manifested in me

it's slightly invisible.

I have never seen anyone in the media that

truly represented me.

That's a disabled character and I'm pretty sure I'm never going to see one.

Unless I play a character.

But I also never saw a character that had a scar that was huge

and deal with the same emotions I did with a scar.

And Prince Zuko was that character.

I am so thankful for Avatar The Last Airbender

for a lot of reasons but Prince Zuko is

the main reason I am thankful.

I found my Disabled representation.

I found someone that understood what it was like to have

a scar that you can't always hide.

I'm just very thankful for this character and

I wanted to share about it because

a lot of times with Disability we don't really have

a lot of Disabled representation.

And sometimes the characters aren't obviously disabled

but I'm happy I found one that I related to.

So I wanted to ask you, if you're Disabled or

if you're another minority,

what character representation have you

found in media that you really related to?

That has helped you.

Let's share the stories in the comments below.

And I'd love to read them.

So that's all I have for you.

Thank you for watching.

Maps - Tip Thursday 06 | Beginner Tip | How to travel better - Duration: 2:56.

Hey hey! Welcome back to another tip Thursday. In this episode I'm gonna

be giving you some tips about how you can use technology to your advantage in your

traveling and in particular today it's gonna be about maps. So 'hi' I'm Conor the

Language Tsar and if you're new here and you find these tips useful then consider hitting

that subscribe button right now and you know whack that notification bell

beside it and let's get into today's video!

Next thing I want to talk about are maps and one thing you should definitely

invest in if you're traveling is have access to your smartphone and data at

all times. You can do that in your own SIM card or your phone plan before you

travel make sure that it's activated and that you have a reasonable cost for it

before you go on your trip or if you're like me and you're going through several

countries and it would be really expensive to roam then you can buy a new SIM card

in every country you visit and as long as not going to too many of that usually

works out pretty well. It's not that expensive so here in Ukraine I have

a Ukrainian SIM card but I really emphasize that you ... you don't do

what I see some people traveling. They just don't use their smartphones. Data

that costs too much and then they can't use ... they can't call an uber. They can't get

the taxi. They can't find where they're going on a map and that's the next point

where it's like maps like here Google Maps are such a revelation if you're

traveling right because before you have to take out a paper map, orientate

yourself, figure out where you're gonna go and it wasn't so easy. It was easy to

get lost, To really accurately find where you were was always a pain. Also calculate how

long you're gonna get there. This is all automatic right. It's just amazing really

transforms ... you're not gonna get lost anywhere and you're not going to show up

late because you miscalculate. You can see all the public transport options in

a lot of cities as well. You can even directly order an uber off it. It depends

depends on the country you are in for sure. So this is definitely something

that really really helps, of course. The downside is ... of using ... relying on your

cellphone of course is if the battery dies. So you need to probably have a

power bank with you at all times. That's a little external device that then you

can recharge your phone on so you're not dependent on finding an outlet which

your charger to plug it in if you're running low because this can sometimes be a

problem as we you know cellphones don't come with changeable

batteries you just pop out and put it in you and or anything so you need to you

know invest a little bit of money of that. I'll link below in the description one

that I've been using on my travels. So yeah maps ... really really important to

have nailed if you're traveling and cellphones and

new technology really make that so easy.
