last thing I was missing

hello, it's Annabelle,

and I am currently set up and ready to paint,

it's currently sunset, I meant to start earlier,

but, what I'm gonna do is try to paint from life as best I can,

with this light source for now, and when the sun sets,

this will be my backup.

I'm already all set up to paint so I'm just gonna do that

show you how I apply oil and chat with you, and perhaps in a different video I will talk about set up,

and supplies,

more in depth

I just wanna jump into this painting.

I'm currently taking an oil class, which is so nice

and this assignment- our professor wants us to push ourselves when it comes to color,

and use Wayne Thiebaud as an inspiration, so if you don't know who he is,

he was a pop artist in the 80's and does a lot of oil painting, and our professor wants us to

study his work, study his process, and somehow draw that into how we observe this still life

I love this one that he does of the cake, or the pie,

one thing that he does great is applying hues to white,

he never really uses a pure white as I observe, they're always kind of greyed out- here he paints glass.

it's never really clear, there's always food inside,

so I guess I'll just... see... over here for the glass he uses green,

and then, orange, and blue, and red,

the background is slightly yellow, or slightly pink, or slightly blue, so I think

I'm going to apply that observation to my white wall,I'm not just gonna paint like white-greyish wall,

probably make it blue-ish?

I'm also thinking that I'm going to put some orange... or red, into the glass, because the grass itself has a green hue,

so, complimentary colors would make it pop. right..

so this is my under painting, and you can see that this is obviously not a cola bottle,

but I used this prop from my class, and I looked everywhere and I couldn't find it,

I think maybe my professor removed it or locked it up,

I went out and I bought a bottle of coke, and I... drank it

I'm just gonna have to alter the shape because it concaves right here.

... convex?

covex?

hmm

I normally like to start with the background, so for that, I use a bigger brush,

because it makes really nice gestures, big broad strokes, very nice, I like that, and

it's fast.

also one thing that's really annoying about my set up is that my palette is on my left, and not the right,

and since I'm right handed, I'm gonna have to reach over,

but I'll just make do today..

I'm guessing I'll make the background... blue? and I'm gonna make...

the...

floor pinkish...

pinkish tan?

and I'm using canvas paper, so it's not even canvas board, or a wrapped canvas

this crap is pretty bad quality, but, it's very affordable for I guess just practice painting

and if you wanna do it on a budget,

so i just block the colors out really quickly, and my bottle's already disappearing,

but this paint is quite thin, and you can already see the underpainting coming through, which is

a lot more dimensional than just painting on a flat white.

see, what I see in the bottle is like...

grey,

and then more grey,

and then...

green-grey,

and then...

green.

so I'm applying some pastel green,

cause that's the essence of glass, or specifically cola bottles, it's like, a muted green-tone, it's not just clear glass.

so I'm changing the shape of the bottle here really quickly, just because that's the way it's shaped

and I'm using a darker valued green, but it's still very vibrant as you can see.

I hate how this brush is crooked because when I washed it,

and placed it in my toolbox to bring home,

it must have just been caught on something, and it dried like this, so it's gonna be crooked until I wash it again.

the general angle of this..

is... something like that, I would say?

so as i mentioned in the beginning, this video is sponsored by squarespace,

I haven't decided on a template yet-

if you don't know what Squarespace is, it's an online platform- just a tool- to build your own site

really of any kind, because it's very flexible, they have a ton of templates that you could look through,

you don't really need to know anything about building websites in order to use this,

because I don't know how to code for shit,

so I'm really hoping to be able to create an amazing website where I hopefully sell some merch on

in December, my sister and I came up with an idea to start our online store, and obviously,

that hasn't really happened yet, we made a bunch of merch actually,

and we have a little box of it, we just haven't launched anything

because we got really busy with school,

and at first, she wanted to try her hand at making it from scratch,

or attempting to code it...

so before I go any further with the blue, I'm gonna actually start putting in details,

in the curves of the bottle

and, I still haven't put in the darks,

because the back of the tag that I see through the bottle

is quite dark,

and I'm trying to imagine what that would look like if I wanted it to be more vivid, so...

maybe, put some burnt siena first?

because when you add white to burnt siena,

it turns very vibrant,

even though the value is pretty low

I've changed the angle for a little bit,

so you can't see my reference,

but I wanted to chit chat a little more, and I thought that talking with my back to the camera wasn't a good idea and I would hate myself when I'm editing,

so,

you can see me, and I can talk for a little bit

so right now I'm really missing the fluidity of all of the colors, I think,

and, even though you can tell it's glass, it's really flat.

so I'm gonna attempt to put some colors and gestures in,

to shape the glass

my background is too low,

in proportion to the bottle,

so I'm gonna bring that up

because I feel like from here,

the floor is almost right...

there.

like where I'm standing,

or- sitting...

- I normally like to stand when I paint,

it's better for your health, and also, it makes your body just more fluid and free,

and when you're sitting you're more stiff.

but for the purpose of this video, I am sitting.

I think I've been using oil for 9, 10, years now,

I started when i was really young,right

I think of all the years, it was really last year that I just

jumped in improvement, because of the

RISD freshman classes I was taking,

and the work load is a lot, and sometimes it makes you forget

about what you're doing and you just want to do it,

a common frustration that people have when they wanna paint or draw

is that

they're too in their head about it, they think too much

about what it should look like, or what they want in the end,

and maybe because of school, or I'm not really sure why,

maybe because- I learned a lot last year!

or something,

I don't have as much a block in that sense anymore, and I'm able to really

submit to the process, submit to my medium, and just go with it,

and really enjoy it

oh and also another random thing, if I were to do an arting series,

where I just craft, or paint, things like that and chill out with you,

what should I call it? I can't really think of anything.

I would really love your suggestions if you can leave some down in the comments

I'll probably ask my sister as well, I always ask her for when I wanna name something- she came up with WeWednesday,

she came up with CatCreature,

so I'm painting the shadow, and I think I'm gonna go in with some blue because

when I studied Thiebaud's works,

it seemed like there was definitely a lot of

vibrant blue hues,

in his shadows, so what I'm doing right now,

I'm attempting to do an underpainting, so you know how I started with that underpainting rough-sketch,

so I'm doing an underpainting right now as well,

I really wanna know how your school terms are going,

whether you're in high school, middle school, college, tell me what you're studying, tell me your favorite class and also if you have any plans for spring break,

I actually just planned another trip

to the west Caribbean,

in a couple of weeks, and I'm so excited to go,

so I really wanna push through these weeks of deadlines, and schoolwork, and it's really easy to do that when you're

looking forward to a tropical escape,

my sister is going home and visiting our family,

and I asked her if she wanted to come with me and Tyler,

and she thought about it, but then she realized that when we go to the west Caribbean, we're gonna be doing a lot of

swimming, and aquatic activities, and she hates water

I wanna put in some of the bottle's colors into the shadow,

it might play well with the blue that I'm attempting to add in

does it help imply that the bottle is translucent?

I don't know,

maybe?

when I'm sitting I have to remind myself not to hunch.

and I'm sorry if I don't always look you in the eye, I try, but

but then,

sometimes I fail.

so as I mentioned this term,

it's busy, but very manageable,

and I'm enjoying it a lot more than last term, because we're doing a lot of hands-on learning,

like weaving, and knitting- I'm not taking knitting cus I did it last year as you guys saw, but,

in place of knitting, I'm doing painting!

which is just so good,

and it's just a breath of fresh air into the week.

you know, cus I'm doing all of these weavings and silk-screenings

I got really sick last Friday, and I didn't do any homework for two days,

so I had to catch it all up during the weekday,

which was doable, it wasn't actually that bad, I went to bed before midnight each of those days,

but, I definitely would prefer if I don't have to procrastinate,

I was supposed to go to the loom tonight, but painting kind of...happened. so,

I'll do it tomorrow.

and I'm so glad I did this, because I swear, up until sunset I was just in a really grouchy, irritable mood all day

and I'm not really sure why,

but I just...no matter how well things are going,

and like, nothing is really wrong,

I just felt really down for from reason,

and,

now that I'm destressing,

it feels so good- I think.. I was just really stressed. that's probably what it was,

because, I keep thinking like

why do I feel like this?

I'm fine

so I'm just gonna stop it here, and it looks pretty good,

I have this issue of always over working my paintings,

and if I see something in the future that bugs me I can always come back to it,

but for now I'll leave it be,

and I'm gonna just clean up- you know, I used 5 brushes in the end

and go to bed...

mainly that's why I'm capping it as well, it's like 10 with the new daylight savings,

so I really want to go to bed and wake up early tomorrow again,

and...

Ooh- I have art history to read tomorrow morning.

I always do it in the mornings now.

WRONG, THE PAYOFF ENDED UP BEING DISAPPOINTING WITH THE LATTER PICKING UP THE WIN AT WRESTLEMANIA

FANS BELIEVE THAT THE LOSS HURT BOOKER'S CAREER FOR YEARS AS HE STRUGGLED TO BOUNCE

BACK UNTIL YEARS LATER.

RUMORS CLAIM THAT VINCE MCMAHON WAS ORIGINALLY OPEN TO HAVING BOOKER CROWNED AS THE NEW CHAMPION,

VINCE MCMAHON WAS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS WHY IT WAS DELAYED BEFORE FANS GOT THEIR WISH

AT WRESTLEMANIA XXX WHEN DANIEL BRYAN DEFEATED TRIPLE H, AND THEN WENT ON TO BEAT BATISTA

AND RANDY ORTON IN THE VERY SAME NIGHT.

BUT MCMAHON WASN'T ALONE AS USUAL, AND RUMORS CLAIM THAT TRIPLE H ALSO DIDN'T BUY INTO

THE HYPE AT FIRST TO CREATE SOME HEAT BETWEEN HIM AND BRYAN.

WITH FAN REACTION REACHING UNPRECEDENTED LEVELS, BRYAN WAS FINALLY ON TOP OF THE WWE.

IT SEEMS LIKE HE WORKED OUT HIS DIFFERENCES WITH TRIPLE H AT SOME POINT, BUT THAT DOESN'T

CHANGE HISTORY – AS WE ALMOST NEVER SAW A HAPPY ENDING FOR BRYAN THANKS TO VINCE AND

TRIPLE H'S AGENDA.

HE GENUINELY DISLIKES CM PUNK.

AFTER HAVING BEEN UPSET WITH THE COMPANY FOR A WHILE, CM PUNK LEFT THE WWE AND MOST FANS

STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN OVER IT.

IT IS ALMOST GUARANTEED FOR FANS TO CHANT HIS NAME ON WEEKLY BASIS DURING A RANDOM MATCH

OR PROMO, AND ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S STEPHANIE MCMAHON OR TRIPLE H.

IT IS WELL-KNOWN TO FANS THAT HEAT EXISTED BETWEEN THE TWO SIDES, WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT

FOR THEM TO WORK TOGETHER.

ALTHOUGH HE ATTEMPTS TO REMAIN POLITICALLY CORRECT ABOUT THE SUBJECT, MANY SOURCES HAVE

NOTED THAT TRIPLE H GENUINELY DISLIKES PUNK DUE TO BEING OPINIONATED AND SUPPOSEDLY HAVING

AN ATTITUDE BEHIND-THE-SCENES.

WITH PUNK AS WELL AS THE MAJORITY OF WWE FANS BELIEVING THAT TRIPLE H HAD BURIED HIM IN

2011, IT ONLY MADE THINGS WORSE BETWEEN THEM.

HE IS BACK, THINGS MAY HAVE FINALLY BEEN SETTLED BETWEEN THEM.

Rudy Barbier's Factor One Aero Road Bike - Duration: 4:26.

- We've got a brand spanking new bike for you today.

This is the very recently released Factor ONE

aero road bike, ridden by Frenchman Rudy Barbier of AG2R.

(energising music)

This is the second year that Factor

have sponsored the french squad,

and I think we'll see a number of their riders

using this brand new model in 2018.

It's got to be one of the most

unique looking bikes in the pro peloton,

and much of that is down to their

Twin Evo split down tube.

So, you can actually see, from my direction,

through to the front tyre there.

That is some technology which has trickled

down from their slick time trial bike,

which they released last year.

They claim it improves the aerodynamics,

but also the overall stiffness of the bike.

OTIS, standing for one total integration system,

and that means that it's one piece,

right down from the dropouts here,

up through the fork legs,

up this external head tube here,

and steerer tube which also makes this look very unique,

to just underneath the stem.

And, on top of that, they have got their very own

handlebar design as well.

One piece aero stem and handlebars,

with the top cap looking very neat here as well.

Now, when I had a Factor Vis Vires a few years ago

it wasn't a dissimilar system,

but it was quite hard to adjust the height

of the handlebars.

But, they have factored that in, get it?

That was terrible I know.

And you can now easily change the height

of the handlebars using their own

proprietary stack height spacers there.

And the great think is that

you don't need to cut the steerer,

and also you don't need to remove any of the cables

when you're doing that.

They also claim that that external steerer tube

at the front is both stiffer and more aerodynamic,

and they also made some small improvements

in their aerodynamics by widening

the seat stays here at the rear.

Also changing is the bottom bracket,

which is now a BB30 standard,

which they say has made it slightly wider and stiffer,

whilst not actually changing the Q factor at all.

It also comes with its own seat post here.

The groupset is mainly from Shimano,

their top of the range Dura Ace DI2.

Although there are a few deviations from that,

which I'll get onto very shortly indeed.

So, they've got the Dura Ace shifters,

front and rear derailleurs, and also the cassette there.

But, as you can see, that is not a

Dura Ace rear cage.

Those big jockey wheels are very obviously CeramicSpeed.

He's got an 11 up through to 28 tooth

cassette currently on them,

standard at 53 by 39 chain rings.

But, as you can also see, they are note Dura Ace cranks.

He's running an SRM on these new look cranks and,

with them, you are able to adjust

the length of the cranks without changing the cranks at all.

The only problem with that is that I don't know how to tell

what length crank he's running.

The wheels are provided to the team by Mavic,

and currently here in the faster stages of Abu Dhabi

he's running the Comet Pro SL,

which are as you can see quite deep at around 60mm.

On those wheels are the Continental

Competition Pro Limited tubular tyres,

which really are the tyre of choice for a lot of teams

still in the world tour.

A french company, again, provides the pedals.

They are the Look Carbon Keos.

Whilst it is the italian brand FI'ZI:K

who provide the team with their saddles.

And Rudy has opted for this Aliante with the carbon rails.

In terms of the measurements,

well the bar width is 42cm.

He's got a saddle height of around 69cm.

And then the reach between the tip of the saddle

and the centre of the bars is 56cm.

As you can see, though,

there is hardly a saddle to bar drop at all.

Probably the least amount of any pro bike

I've ever done here on GCN before.

I should probably also mention, before I finish,

that CeramicSpeed also provide the bearings

in both the bottom brackets and up there at the head tube.

BTS, Bangtan Boys or Bulletproof Boy Scouts", is a K-Pop boy band from South Korea.

The band is formed by 7 boys from South Korea.

The leader is RM and he is a rapper.

Along with him, there is Jin , singer, Suga, rapper, J-Hope, rapper and dancer, Jimin , singer

and dancer, V, singer, and Jungkook), main singer, dancer, and the makné of the group.

Each member of the band has a different personality and talent, perfectly complementing each other,

and making of BTS an excellent group and one of the most powerful ones nowadays.

This band's project comes from a long time ago.

It was in 2010 when Bang Sihyuk (bang shijiuk), owner of Bit Hit Entertainment, listened to

RM for the first time and got completely impressed.

They immediately signed a contract and, after several auditions, the rest of the members

started joining the team.

The boys were preparing and getting ready for their debut for more than two years.

And finally, after a hard training, on June 12th 2013 they published their first single:

2 Cool 4 Skool.

Their official presentation took place the day after, on the show M!

Countdown.

In September, their EP came out: Oh, Are you late too? , and the first reality show of

the band was released: Rookie King.

In November, they performed for the first time outside South Korea, in Thailand, and

in December they had their first concert in Japan.

On February 12th 2014, their mini album Skool Luv Affair was released.

With it, they concluded their School Trilogy.

After the warm welcome they had in The Land of the Rising Sun, on June 4th they released

their first single there, No More Dream.

Truth is, BTS, apart from their international trajectory, also have a parallel career in

Japan, where they've published two studio albums already, 6 singles and 3 dvds.

At the end of 2014, the band travelled to the US to produce a new album, and they made

the most out of their time there by recording their second reality show, American Hustle

Life.

In August, their first complete album studio was published: Dark & Wild, with the single

Danger.

As their number of fans kept growing, and tickets for international tours were sold

out, the EP The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 1 came out, In April 2015.

The second part was released some months after that.

The trilogy was completed with an special album.

The official name of the fanclub of the band is A.R.M.Y.

It's an acronym for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth.

It also means Army in English and, for the BTS boys, their fans are their own army, who

faithfully and tirelessly fight for them.

In October 2016, their second album studio was released, WINGS.

The cd made it to the 26th position of the Billboard 200.

With the song Fire, they were at the same time number 1 in all the music lists in Korea.

On February 12th 2017, they released a reedition of the album called Wings: You Never Walk

Alone.

On April 10th, BTS were nominated for the Top Social Artist category in the Billboard

Music Awards.

Thanks to their fans' votes, BTS became the winners of the Top Social Artist on the

BBMAs, even beating Justin Bieber!

On September 18th 2017, BTS released "Love Yourself 承 'Her'", the fifth mini album

of the band, with DNA as the title track.

They collaborated with the The Chainsmokers, with Steve Aoki (aióki) and Desiigner, for

the remix of their song Mic (MÁIC) Drop, released in November 2017.

This song has already been on the top of national and international music lists for many weeks.

BTS wont stop breaking KPOP records.

Since the begining of their career, they've won a lot of awards, along with a great and

warm reception from both the public and the critics.

From July 2017 onwards, a new acronym was added to the English BTS version "Beyond

the Scene", and they made a new logo.

They said the meaning behind the new Brand Identity is BTS protecting youth from prejudice.

They move forward, chasing their dreams instead of being hold back by reality.

The design shows ARMY meeting BTS thanks to opening doors.

With their fans support and their fun and sociable personalities, theyve been able to

reach a great position in social networks.

They right now have 13 million followers on Twitter and V LIVE, as well as almost 9 million

followers on Instagram.

More than 7 hundred thousand people are subscribed to their FanCafé, making them reach the top

positions.

If you want an anecdote… last May, they became the first korean band to have their

own emoji on Twitter, as well as the celebrity with the most mentions on social networks

during 2017.

Thanks to their music and their impeccable videoclips, where they combine love songs

and rap with lyrics talking about bullying and rejection, they've been able to connect

with young people and differentiate themselves from other similar bands.

BTS has become one of the most renowned KPOP bands both nationally
