Youtube daily report Mar 20 2018

[♪INTRO]

We've all seen those comparison photos.

Some president starts out with a full head of dark hair, and a few years later they're

totally gray.

But stress doesn't really turn your hair white.

At least, not the hair already on your head.

It can help reveal gray hairs, though, by increasing turnover.

And scientists think it might just speed up the graying process a little, too.

Each hair gets its color from melanin, a pigment made by specialized cells called melanocytes

in hair follicles.

You can have gray or white hairs because the hair itself, which is mostly a colorless protein

called keratin is manufactured by different specialized cells in the follicle, which are called keratinocytes.

And they tend to live longer than the pigment-producing ones.

So hairs can keep growing, shedding, and growing anew, even if those little pigment factories

have stopped production.

How long your melanocytes last—and therefore when you "go gray"—is mostly determined

by your genetics.

But your head doesn't turn white the second some of those cells die.

Since the follicles can't alter hair that's already grown, gray hairs don't start to

show until the old, colorful hair has fallen out, which usually happens every few years.

But, if something makes your hair fall out faster—like, I don't know, being massively

stressed out—then it might seem like you're suddenly graying.

Chronic stress is known to trigger telogen effluvium, a condition where the hair follicle

jumps ahead to the final stages of its life cycle and the hair attached to it falls out.

So instead of lasting years, hairs can fall out within a few months of a stressful event.

The new hair starts growing again right away, so it doesn't cause baldness.

And it doesn't affect melanocytes, so for young people, the hair that falls out grows

back its normal color.

But if you happen to be at an age where the next hairs in line would be gray anyway, it

can speed up that turnover.

It's not that the stress turned you gray—it just bumped your gray hairs to the front of the line.

That said, there is some research that suggests stress might make you go gray sooner.

That's because stress can increase levels of free radicals — atoms or molecules that

have an unpaired electron, which makes them unstable and very reactive.

They basically try to steal an electron from anything they run into, which messes with

key components of cells.

A 2006 study found that too many free radicals can prematurely age cells because of their

toxic effects on DNA, or even kill the cells outright—and that includes melanocytes.

Other things known to increase free radicals in your body, like smoking, also happen to

be associated with premature graying.

But so far, no one has conducted a controlled experiment to conclusively demonstrate the

connection between stress, free radicals, and the sudden appearance of gray hairs.

So stress might make you go gray.

Or it might just reveal how gray your hair already is.

Bond basics: Risks || SPP - Duration: 2:13.

Hi, I'm Bonnie from the Saskatchewan

Pension Plan. Thank you for joining us

for the second in our two-part series on

bonds. Today we are going to discuss the

risks associated with investing in bonds.

Some of the risks associated with bonds

include default, prepayment, and interest

rate risk. Default risk is the risk that

interest and principal payments due on

the obligation will not be paid. Bonds

are rated based on the ability of the

issuer to repay the loan. Bond rating

agencies provide ratings between Triple

A and D and like a report card

financially secure companies will have a

high rating, while risky companies will

rate low. SPP's investment policy requires

an initial rating of triple B or better

for its portfolio. Prepayment risk is the

risk that the bond issue will be paid

off earlier than expected. Interest rate

risk is the risk that changes in the

interest rate will reduce the market

value of the bond. If interest rates

decline significantly the investor faces

the possibility of prepayment. If

interest rates increase sharply the

value of the bond drops and the

investors are more inclined to buy

securities that offer a higher rate. The

greater the time to maturity the greater

the interest rate risk an investor

bears, because it is harder to predict

market developments farther out into the

future. On their risk reward continuum

bonds are considered safer than equities

but as you have heard they are not

risk-free. A balance of bonds and equities

along with other investment types is

prudent when building a retirement

portfolio. Thanks so much for joining us

again for our series on Investment

Basics.

How To Choose A Pen Name - Duration: 5:07.

how to choose a pen name we are gonna talk about it hey guys it's K-Ninja

here and if you're at all into self-publishing make sure they hit that

subscribe button and hit the little Bell so you get notifications because

self-publishing is all we talk about on this channel and today we're going to be

talking about how to choose a pen name now there's a website I like to use to

generate random names and I'll put the link to that site in the description and

the website is basically called behind the name calm and they have a random

name generator on that website so let's take a look at it okay and we're looking

at the random name generator of behind the name calm and you can choose what

type of name you want let's say I have a book on yoga so maybe I want to go with

something Indian and you can choose which gender masculine feminine

ambiguous either I'll just put either let's just click

the generate a name button so a Kela aria and if i don't like that i go here

i click generate another Nanda deep gently read another row just indrani I

like that I might use that as a pen name so what I would do next hit ctrl C to

copy that and then I go up to Google and then I paste the name in here and what

I'm going to do is put quotes around the name like so and hit enter and I'm going

to look for if this is the name of someone who is famous or if it's the

name of someone who is an author or if it could possibly be a trademarked name

and looking here it looks like someone has this name who got married on YouTube

it doesn't mean it's a famous person and I'd look down

I tried to determine if this name is something that I would have to worry

about as far as a trademark and I don't really see anything here I think this

you know I've investigated further of course and watch the YouTube video but I

think everything here on Google are personal links for someone who has that

name and the next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to go to amazon.com and I'm

just going to go to the main search bar if the Hamazon website and enter in that

name and I don't see that that's the name of a book or an author or anything

so based on checking Google and Amazon and making sure that there's nothing

trademark under that name I'd say a name like this would be good to use as a pen

name for one of my books and that's basically what I do when I'm thinking

about what pen name I should choose for a book but yeah that random name

generator is truly a savior when choosing a pen name but you do have to

do your proper due diligence and do a little bit of research after you find

the name that you like because you want to be safe on the trademark front

because for example if you didn't know who's Stephen King was and you decided

to use the name Stephen King for a pen name then you might find it surprising

when an attorney contacts you and you'd suddenly find yourself in a world of

pain as far as your publishing business goes you could in fact lose your entire

publishing business for using a name that is trademarked as your pen name so

you want to be careful of that maybe I'm just paranoid but I worry about those

things and yeah from a legal standpoint I think any lawyer would tell you that

you should be worried about things like that you need to do your due diligence

some things like that and it's just part of the game of running a successful

publishing business and if you're interested in knowing about some of the

more advanced things that I do to make my publishing business

successful you can check out the link to my course in the description also if you

just want to know some general information about how I run my

publishing business then you can click the card in the upper right hand corner

of the screen anyway be sure to hit that subscribe button and hit the little bell

so you get notifications because this channel is all about self-publishing so

if you're at all into self-publishing then you're gonna find the latest news

tips tricks and tutorials right here I look forward to seeing you here again

see you in the next one K-Ninja out

Wanna One Members Talk About Not Giving Up While Pursuing Their Dreams(News) - Duration: 2:44.

Wanna One Members Talk About Not Giving Up While Pursuing Their Dreams

Wanna Ones Ong Seong Woo, Hwang Min Hyun, and Kim Jae Hwan talked about not giving up on their dreams on KBS2s Hello Counselor.

Hello Counselor is a program that invites people to come and share their concerns. The hosts, celebrity guests, and the audience listen and try to encourage through advice and anecdotes of their own. Soompi. Display. News. English. 300x250. Mobile. English. 300x250. ATF.

On the March 19 episode, someones concern was about their younger sister who dreamed of being a model, but wasnt making any effort to become one.

Shin Dong Yup, one of the hosts, asked the Wanna One members to share what they had to do to get to where they are now as idols.

Hwang Min Hyun replied, Ive dreamed of being a celebrity ever since my third year in middle school. The act of appearing on an audition program was desperation itself.

We wanted to become Wanna One so badly that for six months, we practiced with only one hour of sleep. We focused with everything we had.. Ong Seong Woo shared, Its been 10 years since I started dreaming about becoming a celebrity.

During that period, there were times when I worked hard, and there were times when I played a lot. I think confidence and self-respect are the most important. Of course I was frustrated and embarrassed at times, but I remained hopeful while reminding myself, Im going to be fine.

Im going to make it big..

Kim Jae Hwan revealed, While I was in college, I really wanted to sing but because I wasnt well off, I worked part-time. With the money that I worked hard to earn, I rented a practice room and practiced there..

Meanwhile, Wanna One recently made a comeback with title track Boomerang from their second mini album 0+1=1 (I PROMISE YOU).
