Hello, welcome to "Made among the oaks".
My name is María Isabel.
I am very grateful for your subscriptions and comments, here is a new tutorial.
Hi, I'm María Isabel and today I'm going to teach you how are these flower shape crochet squares are made
They are on this cushion
First with a chart and then I´ll do it myself.
Here I have the chart, 5 chains are formed and around those 5 chains, 16 S.C.
always multiple of 4.
It goes up with a chain but I will not count it because it stays hidden.
The next round there are bobbles on the S.C. of the first round, but skipping one S.C.
The bobbles have got 5D.C. but at the beginning there will be 3 chains and then 4D.C. and in the middle
2 chains except al the end that there is a half D.C, the next round,
we make half the corner, these would be the corners, we make half the corner
with 3 chains and two D.,C, then four S.C around those two
chains, the other corner ... and so on that we got to finish the corner with three
D.C, two chains and a slip stitch on the third chain of the beginning.
Well now, I'm going to do it in a practical way, I crochet 5 chains, at the beginning I do ...
I turn the hook like that, yarn over, I work a chain but I tighten it as if it were a knot,
I will not count this first chain and now I crocher five: one, two, three, four and five,
I slip it into the first chain, not the one with the knot but for the first one, I make a slip stitch
and I climb with a chain and now I crochet 16 S.C, one, two and so on up to 16.
When I finish 16, I crochet a slip stitch and I add 3 chains and I'm going to
do the first bobble.
The first bobble has got 4 D.C they are five but the three chains are equivalent
to 1 D.C, I leave it half done, another D.C, that I only do the first part, I leave it
half done, another half done D.C, another D.C, I've already got 5, now I'm taking a thread
and I slip it through all of them, it stays open, I have to close it with a chain,
That does not count.
Now I work 2 chains and the other bobble, I have to skip a S.C and I do it in
the next, you have to count them very well because sometimes, that S.C stays hidden
and you can not skip any of them
There must be 8 bobbles in total, multiple always of 4
Now I crochet 5 half done D.C: one, two, three, four and five, together
I join them together with a chain, I work two more chains
So, up to 8 as I have here.
I'm going to crochet till the end, I work the chain to join it and instead of making two chains, now
I'm going to crochet a half D.C ... so the crochet stays in the middle because this is going
to be the corner, I start going up with 3 chains, two D.C and now I crochet 4 S.C
here: one, two, three, four and now I do the other corner here with 4 D.C,
no sorry, 3 D.C, two chains and three S.C.
This would be a corner, now here I crochet four S.C: one, two, three and four
and I make the other corner here, you see that it is forming the square, here it would do the same:
3 D.C, two chains, three D.C and so on until the end.
Well I'm going to crochet it till the end in case there is a problem
Three D.C, two chains, 3 D.C, 4 S.C [in the next gap].
I'm going to run out of thread.
Well, the end ... this corner is only half done, here I have to crochet 3.D.C
two chains and join it here to the first chain of the beginning with a one slip stitch
It is because this corner is only half done.
Well, see you soon.
Today I am joining some crochet squares.
There are several techniques to join the squares, in this case I used one that pops up a bit,
and I'm doing it with another color thread because my intention is that it serves as an ornament.
So that's why, I´m going to make a bag so it's good that it
can be seen.
This is the result and now I´m going to teach you how to do it.
So, I join the two squares, I stretch them well so that they are very equal and I start
around the corner.
This is the corner, here, I look for the equal on the other corner.
I crochet two chain stitches and now I try to join the edges
so that they remain the same, yarn over and pull it through, the same again , it is like a half D.C.
next, yarn over and pull it through, yarn over again and pull it through the other chain
Again, I'm going to do it slowly, yarn over and pull it through the first chain, yarn over
pull it through the next chain.
So, I'm joining step by step ... yarn over and pull it through, yarn over and pull it through
I check that it is the same.
I keep the edges well and work the same way
Again, you see how I take the two parts.
yarn over and pull it through, yarn over and pull it through ... like that until I finish.
I'm not going to continue because it's always the same.
Here you can see the result.
